==Synopsis==
Underwater in the [[Great Banks]] by the [[Flemish Cap]] in the [[Atlantic Ocean]] in [[1887]], the [[Seacon (G1)|Seacons]] lay silent and waiting. They are activated by a race of [[Deep One|fish-men]], who bring the [[Decepticon]]s to their unearthly city.

[[1888|A year later]], the [[USS Mistkatonic|USS ''Mistkatonic'']] is traveling to [[Ireland]] when it is attacked by a tentacled and underwater menace. [[Ironhide (G1)|Ironhide]], who has been hidden aboard the ship, jumps into the water, realizing the creature as an alien lifeform, and swims to the other [[Autobot]]s to warn them.

One week later, in [[San Francisco]], the married [[Tobias Muldoon|Tobias]] and [[Kitty Merriweather|Kitty Muldoon]] are walking down a street with their two children when [[Bumblebee (G1)|Bumblebee]], now with a new trolley mode, approaches them. With the invasion of the [[Elder God]]s, Bumblebee needs Tobias's help again. What he needs is 1,000,000 watts of electricity. Muldoon makes it to [[Edison Machine Works]] in [[Schenectady]], [[New York]], a week later, but is refused the absurd amount of electricity by [[Thomas Edison]] himself. One of his workers, [[Nikola Tesla]], finds the prospect intriguing and offers his assistance.

Elsewhere, in [[Port Cenotaph]], [[Nova Scotia]], the fish people surface in the thousands. Hidden underwater, Ironhide observes them, but runs into [[Bonecrusher (G1)|Bonecrusher]], who has been pulled into the Elder Gods' servitude. Despite some fight, Ironhide succumbs to Bonecrusher's tentacles.

Two days later, Tesla and Muldoon are on a train in [[Quebec]] to [[Sant Felicien]]. Tesla finds the train strange, as it has not stopped for fuel and it is absent crew. Tesla finds out the secret when the rail ends in [[Ivujivik]], [[Ontario]], and the components of the train reveal themselves to be the [[Autobot]]s [[Trailbreaker (G1)|Trailblazer]], [[Hound (G1)|Hound]], and [[Ratchet (G1)|Ratchet]]. The Autobots travel in foot while the [[human]]s ride in the comforts of [[Wheeljack (G1)|Wheeljack]]'s vehicle mode.

In Port Cenotaph, a boat's two-man crew discover that the city's populace has been changed, and that it is haunted by gigantic robots. Tentacles emerge from the water and pull the boat underwater.

On the north slope of the [[Mare Ruek Glacier]], the Autobots and the humans find what they have been seeking—the Autobot leader, [[Optimus Prime (G1)|Optimus Prime]]!

'''Impactor''' is the leader of the [[Wrecker|Wreckers]], an elite [[Autobot]] strike team, and as such is a deadly force to be reckoned with on the battlefield. Though he is dedicated to his troops, he is not so dedicated to his superiors, and is not above directly insulting them. [[Emirate Xaaron]] takes this attitude in stride, and can give as well as he receives. Impactor refers to the Autobot resistance leader as a "wily old buzzard," as he is often surprised by Xaaron's blunt yet indirect ways of making his point and getting what he wants. Despite this, their difficulties mask a genuine friendship.

After the leave of [[Optimus Prime (G1)|Optimus Prime]], [[Megatron (G1)|Megatron]] and their troops from the war, Emirate Xaaron assigned the Wreckers to assassinate the warlord [[Trannis]], who came into power in Megatron's absence. Impactor was chosen to lead this team. Though the assassination attempt was successful, other leaders quickly sprung up to take Trannis' place.

Countless years later, after Optimus Prime and his Autobots had awoken on [[Earth]], Impactor and the Wreckers were responsible for executing [[Operation: Volcano]], a planned ambush of the Decepticons' fiercest warriors using Xaaron as bait. [[Ultra Magnus (G1)|Ultra Magnus]] was assigned to the Wreckers to help them bolster their ranks for the mission, but he was quickly needed to travel to Earth to investigate the disappearance of Optimus Prime. Impactor's commitment to the mission wavered and he at first refused to deploy his team without Magnus there as back-up, but he changed his mind after a conversation with Xaaron. Impactor's doubts were further quelled when Xaaron convinced him that [[Springer (G1)|Springer]], [[Broadside (G1)|Broadside]], and [[Sandstorm (G1)|Sandstorm]] were an adequate replacement for Magnus, which Xaaron accomplished by having them disguise themselves as Decepticons and beat Impactor up. Operation: Volcano was once again on track.

Xaaron, the bait for the Wreckers' trap, was placed according to plan, but suddenly Megatron called his warriors to Earth, overriding all other commands, including the planned ambush on Xaaron. Disappointed that their trap was ruined, the Wreckers let down their guard long enough to allow an assassin named [[Macabre]], ignoring Megatron's orders, to fire upon Xaaron. Impactor was the first to react and pushed Xaaron out of the way, taking the shots meant for the Autobot underground resistance leader. Immediately, the other Wreckers turned and fired upon Macabre, killing him, but Impactor was fatally wounded. With his last words he named Springer the next leader of the Wreckers before dying in Xaaron's arms, again calling him a "wily old buzzard." {{storylink|Target: 2006|Target: 2006}}

Impactor's death would haunt several other Autobots for some time to come. Though he sought to deny it, Ultra Magnus felt guilty for not returning to Cybertron in time, and this led to his taking an excessive approach when dealing with [[Optimus Prime (G1)|Optimus Prime]], whom intelligence reports stated was a traitor. {{storylink|Under Fire!}} Subsequently Magnus found a fight with Megatron proved the opportunity to release his pent-up aggression over Impactor's death. {{storylink|Resurrection!}}

Springer was also severely affected by Impactor's death, and felt inadequate in the shadow of his legacy. So when a rogue Autobot scientist named [[Flame (UK comic)|Flame]] discovered a way to reanimate dead Transformers, Springer was crippled from action when he was met with the reanimated corpse of Impactor. {{storylink|Legion of the Lost!|Legion of the Lost!}} His route to the kidnapped Wreckers and Xaaron blocked, he reluctantly fought his predecessor until Springer managed to jar Impactor into remembering his past life. Springer first met Impactor when he was a young recruit to the [[Wreckers]]. Springer strongly bonded with this mentor, but something happened, resulting in the Wreckers leader being incarcerated with all the other war criminals held within [[Garrus-9]]. The memory of this continues to haunt Springer, especially when his work brings him near Garrus-9.

Millions of years later, a prison break on Garrus-9 led by [[Overlord (Masterforce)|Overlord]] presumably released countless prisoners, including Impactor, from their cells. As the current-day Wreckers were en route to Garrus-9, a decrepit Decepticon dropship blocked their path. It exploded before their eyes, but not before the battered form of Impactor ejected from the craft.

There they remained, though the Man of Iron would occasionally leave the ship to visit the surface - in 1017 he encountered [[human]]s, including [[Godwin the Strongarm]] and [[Aethelric]], and a further two sightings were recorded.

In 1984 a beacon from the ship attracted the attention of the earthbound [[Autobot]]s and they took a [[Ark shuttlecraft|shuttle]] to the United Kingdom to investigate. Upon arrival, [[Jazz (G1)|Jazz]] kidnapped a human named [[Sammy Harker]] to provide the Autobots with intelligence about the local area, but they were attacked by the [[Decepticon]]s, who had also followed the beacon to its source.

As battle raged above Stansham Castle, the Man of Iron emerged from his ship once more, only to be blown up by [[Thundercracker (G1)|Thundercracker]]. Before he could finish off his old adversary, Megatron was attacked by Bludgeon's troops and Optimus was rescued by the [[Dinobot (G1)|Dinobots]]. Strangely, by this point in time, Britain was covered with the type of thick fog that hadn't been seen since the 1950s. It's almost like someone hadn't done any research.

The [[Godmaster]] [[Lightfoot]], heir to [[British Motors]], was born in Britain. Mudflap is hyperactive, noisy, argumentative, and eager... not that different from his brother. Mudflap and Skids happily stayed on Cybertron, going through intensive training (which ''totally'' wasn't goofing off) and having extreme-sports contests. Neither wanted to leave their homeworld, and they were the only Transformers on it until [[Starscream (Movie)|Starscream]] turned up with [[Purple generic drones|a Decepticon army]]. When they heard him mention a [[Solar Harvester|star harvester]], Mudflap said they should tell someone...but was a bit upset to find out the fastest way to do that would be to leave Cybertron and tell the Autobots in person.

The decision was made for them when the Decepticons attacked. Mudflap took some hits, causing Skids to obliterate the Decepticons responsible, but for the most part, their training paid off. The twins made it to Earth soon, crash-landing in Toronto, Canada. On the way in, Mudflap hit a [[Wikipedia: CN Tower|big tower]], and was a bit guilty since he knew how this primitive luddite humans still needed radio waves (the saps). They swam their way to Ball's Falls, where they picked up Earth alternate modes and, Mudflap taking charge, set out to try and find local Autobots and warn them about the solar harvester.

Driving along the wrong side of the Interstate, the twins were attacked by the [[Seeker (ROTF)|Seeker]] [[Ransack (ROTF)|Ransack]], who pursued them across open countryside, trying to kill them on Starscream's orders. Mudflap transformed and blinded the old Decepticon with a fistful of dirt, which bought the twins some time to find cover. However, the airborne enemy kept up with the twins, and Mudflap lost a chance at cover when he ran back to save his brother. Now living at [[NEST]]'s Californian base with Bumblebee as their minder, Skids and Mudflap repeatedly asked to deliver their info to [[Optimus Prime (Movie)|Optimus Prime]]—and only Optimus, much to [[Ironhide (Movie)|Ironhide's]] annoyance. He was more annoyed when they ambushed him to get to Optimus...who, as it turns out, was away on a need-to-know mission anyway.

After this defeat, and with Ironhide having bluntly told them nobody believed them, they desperately asked to join in a NEST op in [[Las Vegas]]...getting turned down, because they were too crap to get involved. Mudflap almost called their superior a very rude word over this, and after the team had left, he decided they should go to Vegas ''anyway'' to show Ironhide just what they could do! What they could do, it turned out, was screw up a successful mission by freeing [[Grindor (ROTF)|a captured Decepticon]] by trying to "shoot him down". Mudflap was left mortified. Ironhide, recognising what they were trying to do, told him that maybe they could work on training the twins not to jump in without looking, and that the trick was to learn from mistakes. They soon wished they hadn't, as they were condemned to NEST's [[United Kingdom|Orkney Islands]] base for days of sim-com (simulated combat) training under [[Sideswipe (ROTF)|Sideswipe]]. Mudflap agreed with Skids' theory that this was an excuse to keep them away from Optimus, and the whole situation got on his nerves. They both protested to Sideswipe that they could handle Decepticons. Him pointing out their failure with Grindor shut them up. However, the training was interrupted when [[Ravage (ROTF)|a huge metal cat monster]] broke into the base, KOed Sideswipe, and tried to eat the twins!

They transformed and fled, with all attempts at holding it off failing. Mudflap hit on a plan of trapping the creature in the sim-com room and letting the drones shoot it down. He pulled this off, using himself as bait; in the process, he received a communication from [[Soundwave (ROTF)|the monster's master]], who demanded to know what the twins knew about some lost and fallen guy. Mudflap briefly wondered who this dude was, then shrugged and just spring the trap on Ravage.

With that done, the twins tried to fill in the revived Sideswipe... except the creature had gone, leaving their instructor with the view that ''they'd'' knocked him out in revenge for their training. Between that and Grindor, he thinks they're up to something... {{storylink|Transformers Comic issue 2.4|New Tricks}}

The twins were later taken to Diego Garcia, and ecstatic to learn Optimus was coming there! Okay, he's only dropping a prisoner off, he's not here to see them and knows nothing about their story, but they ignored all that and drove off when Sideswipe wasn't looking so they could greet the leader. Mudflap squeed over how Optimus would be so proud with ''his'' work! Skids picked up on that and accused his brother of trying to steal the glory, and soon the two of them were having a big fight and slagging match...

And so their first meeting with Optimus Prime was to be yelled at for conduct unbecoming of an Autobot warrior. (See the pic to the side to find out how ''that'' went)

That was when [[Scorponok (Movie)|Scorponok]] made his attack, blasting at the distracted Prime and moving to free the prisoner [[Sideways (ROTF)|Sideways]]. Mudflap swiftly grabbed a weapon to stop this escape, but Sideways snatched it from his hands and used it himself to cover his retreat. Sideswipe, watching from a distance, believed Mudflap had ''given'' over the weapon, and convinced Prime that the twins were traitors: they must have helped Scorponok get here and now assisted him in his mission, on top of freeing Grindor and attacking him! Mudflap and Skids protested they were being set up because they knew too much, but it fell on deaf ears as they were taken into custody... {{storylink|Transformers Comic issue 2.5|Reversal of Fortune}}

Following this, the decision was made to exile the twins into orbit. Mudflap and his brother moaned that they should've just ignored the Fallen, but help was at hand... from the Decepticons? Mudflap angrily told [[Wheelie (ROTF)|Decepticon agent Wheelie]] that they didn't ''want'' to be freed by ''him'', but the complaint fell on deaf ears: now the twins looked like even ''bigger'' traitors. The two went underground to clear their names, and hit on the foolproof plan of abducting [[Sam Witwicky]] from his house and pleading with him to tell their story to Optimus. All this did was cause Bumblebee to launch an attack to rescue Sam. Mudflap pleaded with the angry Bumblebee that they weren't traitors, that they had vital info...

...and then [[Soundwave (ROTF)|Soundwave]] gunned down the scout and offered the twins sanctuary in the Decepticons. Nowhere else to go, Mudflap took Soundwave's hand and said he'd never liked Earth anyway... {{storylink|Transformers Comic issue 2.6|Outlaw Blues}}

Once in the Decepticons, he had fun dissing all the other members as being losers and getting on ''everyone's'' nerve, before Soundwave finally sent them on a mission to bring in a rogue member. Once on Earth again, he was genuinely surprised to find out Skids was only ''pretending'' to defect; his annoyed brother explained the plan was that, since Soundwave would send a minder to watch them, they could ambush their minder and have a prisoner to give to the Autobots.

The rogue member turned out to be Ransack, and Mudflap helped Skids lie to him that the Fallen had sent them. Talking instead of fighting? That annoyed ''both'' of their minders, and they came under attack by Grindor and Sideways! Mudflap was ordered after Sideways, and engaged him in a game of chicken; the Decepticon blinked first and crashed into a tree. He thought this was enough, but Skids was determined that they'd now take the fight to Soundwave himself! Upon returning to the Phobos base, Mudflap was consulted about having a plan of attack. He decided why bother having plans ''now'', just attack! The twins stormed the base, and Mudflap was able to defeat Ravage by ducking the beast's attacks and planting an electrical bomb on him. However, this success was quickly undone and Mudflap found himself about to be killed by Starscream... but the battle gave Ransack an opening to shoot the Seeker in the back and escape, causing the other Decepticons to chase after him! The twins had ''no'' idea what ''that'' was all about... but this was just a short respite, as the twins discovered just what that army massing on Cybertron had been planning: to arrive at the Phobos base en route to Earth...

The twins stood ready to make their last stand, and Mudflap prepared to take down as many drones as possible... when Optimus arrived with the other Autobots! The twins had been tracked to Phobos and to their shock, the other Autobots had realised they weren't traitors and were even apologising! And with all the street cred of uncovering the Phobos base, the twins were welcomed to the Autobot's Earth division. Skids briefly wondered if they should mention "the ''Fa-''" again, but Mudflap told him they were ''never'' mentioning ''that'' bloody thing again. The twins were first into action for NEST's mission to Shangai, slowly trundling through the city streets in their ice-cream truck mode and taunting Decepticons in the area to show themselves. Two Decepticons soon did: [[Demolishor (ROTF)|Demolishor]] and [[Sideways (ROTF)|Sideways]]. At NEST's orders, the twins went after the smaller foe, but their slow, ungainly choice of alternate mode left them unable to keep up with Sideways. While Arcee leapt through a building to pursue the Decepticon, the twins tried to go around the building to catch him. However, the twins inadvertently split apart from one another when they rounded the corner too sharply, thus taking them out of the chase. Mudflap took the blame for the crash, but Skids still berated (and smacked) Mudflap for his failure.

Upon arrival to Diego Garcia and NEST headquarters, the twins were given new, individual alternate forms to make sure another incident like that never happened. Mudflap wanted the Chevy Beat as a vehicle form, but after a brief wrestling match with his brother, he was relegated to the form of the [[wikipedia: Chevy Trax|Chevrolet Trax]].

Later, the twins, along with the other NEST-allied Autobots, were dispatched to look for [[Sam Witwicky]] when Decepticons were detected heading towards his college. After [[Optimus Prime (Movie)|Optimus Prime]] was killed by [[Megatron (Movie)|Megatron]], the twins helped the Autobot force fight off the Decepticon leader and [[Starscream (Movie)|Starscream]], allowing Sam, [[Leo Spitz]], [[Mikaela Banes]] and [[Bumblebee (Movie)|Bumblebee]] to make good their escape. Skids and Mudflap met up with Bumblebee and the humans, and together they fled to a remote location. After the twins teased Leo for a while for his panic attack, Sam inquired whether one of them could interpret the Cybertronic symbols with which he had become obsessed. The twins claimed that they couldn't read the ancient Language of the Primes and weren't much into reading, anyway.

With the help of the Decepticon [[Wheelie (ROTF)|Wheelie]] and former [[Sector Seven]] agent [[Seymour Simmons]], the group made their way to the Smithsonian, where the humans reactivated the venerable ex-Decepticon [[Jetfire (ROTF)|Jetfire]]. He teleported them all to [[Egypt]] before telling them the tale of the original [[Prime (ROTF)|Primes]], the [[Solar harvester]], which had the potential to destroy all life on Earth, and finally, the [[Matrix of Leadership]], the key to activating the harvester and possibly the only thing that could bring Optimus Prime back to life. When the Matrix could not be found at the ruins of [[Petra]], the twins began to fight with one another. After damaging the structure and nearly crushing the humans, Bumblebee picked the twins up, bashed them together, and threw them out the door. However, their bickering created a hole in the wall where the [[Tomb of the Primes]] lay, and with it, the Matrix.

Making their way back to the Pyramids where NEST waited with Optimus Prime's body, the group came under attack by Starscream. Mudflap, Skids, Leo and Simmons acted as a decoy to lure the Decepticons away from Sam and Mikaela. Unfortunately, they attracted the attention of the [[Constructicon (ROTF)|Constructicons]], who [[combiner|combined]] into [[Devastator (ROTF)|Devastator]] and attacked by vacuuming up loose objects such as sand, cars, and Mudflap. Hanging on for dear life inside the monster's mouth, he tried to use his "[[Wikipedia:Kung-Fu grip|kung-fu grip]]", but was sucked further inside, losing his shoulder guards in the process.

In vehicle mode, this missile is stored through a cross-shaped hole on the rear bumper. Back at base [[Koji Onishi|Koji]] is concerned. The [[Autobot Brothers|Autobot brothers]] leave to try to rescue Optimus, pondering why he's refusing to fight Magnus.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the battle is not going well for Optimus—Magnus blasts the ground out from under him, and Optimus falls into a chasm. [[Movor]], spying on the fight from space, transmits footage to the [[Megastar]] on Easter Island, where [[Megatron (RID)|Megatron]] watches with amusement. He wonders aloud why his Decepticons have so much trouble defeating Optimus when Magnus appears to have managed it with ease, and decides to sit back and watch the pair destroy each other.

Meanwhile, [[Sky-Byte (RID)|Sky-Byte]], having been fruitless in his search for the [[O-Part|O-Parts]], stumbles on the battle and watches in amazement as Optimus lays defeated at Magnus' feet. Magnus tells the fallen leader he has one cycle to hand over the Matrix, however before he can inflict futher damage on the Autobot leader, the Autobot brothers arrive. [[Side Burn (RID)|Side Burn]] is spoiling for a fight and [[Prowl (RID)|Prowl]] reminds him they're there only to rescue Optimus. The trio retreat with their leader, but not before Sky-Byte is able to tag him with a tracking device. Furious, Magnus is too late to stop them leaving, slamming into the cliff wall as the space bridge portal closes and burying himself temporarily in rock.

Sky-Byte follows the signal from his tracking device, musing that if he defeats Optimus, it'll make Megatron happy. After a short panic attack due to losing the trace, he flies on in the belief he'll eventually find Optimus, unaware he's being tracked by both Movor and Ultra Magnus. The shark soon closes in on an island which causes his memory banks to replay images from [[Landfill (RID)|Landfill]] and [[Ruination (RID)|Ruination]]'s recent battle. As it turns out, Optimus has indeed retreated to the island to recover from his fight with Magnus.

As Side Burn enjoys an oil bath, Optimus admits that Ultra Magnus is his brother, and is carrying a grudge because Optimus was chosen as commander of the Autobots over him. Although Side Burn expresses concern, Optimus asks for some time alone, and Side Burn departs through the space bridge. Sky-Byte, having reached the island at last, promptly seals the portal to the space bridge with a number of large boulders and happily announces that he'll be able to fight and defeat Prime without interference. His joy is shortlived, as Megatron and the Decepticons hove into view over the water and confront Optimus. Before the Decepticons can fire, Ultra Magnus arrives and starts knocking them about like skittles. Ruination is formed, and he and Megatron ignite the oil deposits, turning the island into an inferno.

Alarmed, Koji and [[T-AI]] contact the Autobot brothers, who've discovered that the end of the space bridge has been sealed and are working to clear the blockage.

As Megatron gloats, Magnus tells Optimus he wants to make amends, however it's a trap—Magnus uses the opening to try to steal Optimus' power. The two Autobots combine into a new form: [[Omega Prime]]. While the Decepticons are standing stunned at this turn of events, the Autobot brothers finally break through the rocks blocking the space bridge and are similarly surprised to see what's happened. The biggest surprise is on Magnus—he soon finds he doesn't have any control over the combined form, and is unable to do anything as Omega Prime makes short work of Megatron and his Decepticons. Megatron calls a retreat, and Sky-Byte flees after them.

Optimus Prime watches regretfully as his brother flies off.

Planned out by [[TV Magazine]] writer [[Masumi Kaneda]], who had previously worked on the Transformers [[manga]], the series follows on from the events of "[[The Return of Optimus Prime, Part 2|The Return of Optimus Prime]]", ignoring "[[The Rebirth]]" and introducing the Headmaster characters in a distinctly different way than their American counterparts. Emphasizing the difference between east and west, the series (and its accompanying [[The Headmasters (manga)|manga]]) employed different [[character model]]s designed by [[Ban Magami]], illustrator of numerous ''Transformers'' manga.

The "-master" concept was entirely re-imagined for the series, discarding the Western idea of [[Nebulan]]s, and establishing the Headmasters not as Transformers who bonded with organic beings, but as diminutive Transformers who connected to and controlled large, lifeless bodies named "[[Transtector]]s". ==Storyline==
When [[Optimus Prime (G1)|Optimus Prime]] released the energy of the [[Matrix of Leadership]] to cure the [[Hate Plague]], he could not have predicted the consequences of his actions. In 2011, without the energy of the Matrix to regulate it, the mega-computer [[Vector Sigma]] begins to destabilize, opening the planet up to an invasion by the [[Decepticon]]s and their new Headmaster warriors. Although the Autobot Headmasters, led by [[Fortress Maximus (G1)|Fortress]], arrive to help turn the tide of the battle, the day will not be won without the Matrix, and so [[Hot Rod (G1)|Hot Rod]] and the Headmasters scour the Earth in order to recover the talisman and stabilize Vector Sigma once more. During the course of the conflict, Optimus Prime dies once again, and Hot Rod again becomes Rodimus Prime.

The status quo of the renewed war sees Rodimus Prime in command across Cybertron and the Autobots' secondary command post on [[Athenia]], with [[Ultra Magnus (G1)|Ultra Magnus]] leading his own individual squad on Earth and operating out of [[Autobot City]]. In contrast, the Decepticons are based out of their old base on [[Chaar]], with Sixshot leading the Decepticons' Earth forces, operating out of [[Trypticon (G1)|Trypticon]]. Operating in the shadows is Galvatron's secret ally, the Decepticon Headmaster leader [[Scorponok (G1)|Scorponok]], who has a vendetta against Fortress for exiling him from Master. The first major shift in the direction of the series occurs when Vector Sigma develops a new alloy named [[Cybertonuron]], and Scorponok arranges for the destruction of Cybertron itself in order to keep the alloy from falling into the hands of either the Autobots or Galvatron. Galvatron is caught in the planet-destroying blast and believed dead, while Rodimus Prime decides to venture into space and search for a new homeworld for the Transformers, leaving Scorponok and Fortress in control of their respective factions.

Scorponok immediately begins a plan to harness the power of [[plasma energy]], destroying [[Mars (planet)|Mars]] in pursuit of his evil scheme. The Autobots head for Master, where Scorponok is attempting to construct a weapon that can counter Fortress's mighty [[Master Sword]], and engage the Decepticons in a series of battles. When Scorponok's weapon, the [[Zarak Shield]], lays Fortress low, the Decepticons return to Earth in order to destroy the planet and gather its plasma energy. As one of the three series that received the [[Omni Productions]] dub treatment, ''The Headmasters'' fell under the ownership of TV Loonland, and consequently was made available for potential release by Transformers license-holders.

In the UK, the dubbed version of the [[Four Warriors Come out of the Sky|first episode]] was released on [[Maverick Entertainment]]'s ''[[The Transformers: The Movie]]'' DVD, and the company subsequently released the first six episodes in dubbed form on a single-disc. Later, [[Metrodome]] included the dubbed version on their “Season 2, Part 2” boxset of the [[The Transformers (cartoon)|original series]]. A subtitled version of the first episode was included with "Transformers: The Movie - Reconstructed". Finally, the entire series was released in a subtitled, dual-language format boxset in 2005. (This box set was purposely released in "Region 0" format so that it could be enjoyed by fans on both sides of the Atlantic. Sadly, due to legal issues the subsequent ''[[Super-God Masterforce (cartoon)|Masterforce]]'' and ''[[Victory (cartoon)|Victory]]'' boxsets were Region 2, and unplayable on most American DVD players.) In 2007, [[Madman Entertainment]] released Metrodome's version on their own boxset. In the same year, the RTM 1 dub version of the series was also aired in a late-night slot on the UK channel, Anime Central.

==Synopsis==
On an [[alien]] planet, inside a seedy bar, a female alien and her two cohorts meet with [[Drift (G1) | a shrouded figure]]. She gives him two cards, saying that they would take him so far as to the docking platforms. The cloaked figure thanks her, but she says that the thanks isn't necessary, but just as he's about to walk away, she mentions that the cruiser is [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertronian]]. The stranger confirms it, as the female alien wonders why Cybertronians have docked on their planet. One of the female's cohorts take the time to mention his disgust of all Cybertronian, but the female shuts him up. When the cohort tries to remind her that she hates them as well, the figure mutters the word "[[Decepticon]]s".

The female goes on to say that the cruiser is a Decepticon vessel, and that they apparently came from the outer reaches, damaged and with Autobot prisoners. The alien is curious about the figure's interest in the vessel, and wants him to reconsider, saying that Cybertronians are the plague, bringing death and destruction with them. The figure isn't interested in her concern, but when she touches him, she realizes that he's Cybertronian as well. The figure bows and thanks her, then walks off. Outside the bar, the cloaked Cybertronian looks up and sees the Decepticon vessel above the city. Moments later, on top of the vessel the Cybertronian tosses his cloak away, activates some switches to turn off the vessel's security systems, then jumps inside. Landing quietly, he slides over to a hallway and sees some Decepticons talking. But just as he's about to make a move, a sudden explosion does the job, and the [[Wrecker]]s, led by Kup, enter the vessel. The Cybertronian laments "So much for quiet".

On the bridge, a Decepticon soldier warns Commander Turmoil that the ship has been breached. Turmoil angrily asks who did this, to which the soldier said that it's a small assault force that the sensors didn't pick up. Turmoil slams his fist in anger, realizing that it's Kup. Meanwhile, the Wreckers battle the Decepticon soldiers, all while wondering who the mysterious white Cybertronian is. He doesn't have a [[insignia|faction symbol]] on his chest, and the swords that he wields look familiar. Kup asks him why he's here, to which he replies that he was trying to sneak in. Perceptor examines him and is amazed that he had been recently upgraded in a matter that he hadn't seen since centuries. Kup isn't impressed and orders the Wreckers to move, while asking the Cybertronian to come with them. The Cybertronian insists on taking the lead, since he's here for the same reason.

In a large room, Perceptor senses Turmoil's group behind on of the locked doors, and they're attempting to break in his locks. But then, they suddenly stop. Perceptor decides to add several more blocks to the ones that he had planted in the system, and doesn't imagine that they will break through. Without warning, a beam pierces Perceptor in the chest, as Turmoil and his group fire away at the Wreckers. The Cybertronian rushes at Turmoil, ignoring Kup's orders. The Cybertronian is stopped by a small explosion, and Turmoil recognizes the Cybertronian as Deadlock. Deadlock runs away as Turmoil orders the traitor be destroyed. Turmoil charges his cannon arm and fires at a wall, causing Kup and Deadlock to fall down below.

When they land, Kup now knows who Deadlock is: a Decepticon who slaughtered quite a few [[Autobot]]s. Deadlock says that he no longer goes by that name, and is no longer a Decepticon. Kup said that long ago, there used to be a third faction (actually more of a faction ''against'' factions), which was a large group of Cybertronians that refused to have any part of the [[Great War (G1)|Great War]]. Kup believes that this faction either died or went into hiding from Cybertron. Most of the Autobots didn't care about them, because they were concerned about the war. Looking at Deadlock's sword, Kup is beginning to think differently, and asks him if the meeting had to do with him leaving the Decepticons, which Deadlock confirms. Kup thinks he's getting a second chance, but Deadlock says that he already has one. Kup knows, because Perceptor (who normally wouldn't be along with the Wreckers) kept an eye out on Kup, repairing and upgrading his body, making him ''even more'' better. With the talk over, Kup decides to move out, but Deadlock stops him; although he's not an Autobot, he has an idea to bring the ship down, and Kup is listening.

Later, inside the ship's core, Deadlock is finishing setting the core to overload its system in several minutes, which will tear the vessel apart. Kup is amazed that Deadlock knows about the ship, to which he replies that he used to serve under Turmoil. Kup says that Springer and the others made it out (except Perceptor) and are bringing their ship out. Deadlock sets the core system, but Turmoil appears from behind a part of the wall he blew up. Deadlock tells Kup to go, and Kup manages to exit just as Turmoil blasts at them.

Turmoil says that he thought he'd lost Deadlock. Deadlock says that that name is dead—he now wants to be known as Drift. Turmoil doesn't care and fires at him again, but Drift manages to evade the blasts and stabs at Turmoil's shoulders and slashes at his chest. Drift tells Turmoil that they're going about it the wrong way in the Great War. After countless centuries of fighting, the Autobots are a step away from the Decepticons when they started, and the Decepticons became something worse than they could imagine. Turmoil says that the Autobots would never accept an outcast like him, and asks Drift to kill him and run, proving that he's nothing more than when he left the Decepticons. Drift ''knows'' what he came for, then leaves the room just as the core starts to overload. After transforming briefly, Drift grabs Perceptor and they jump off the vessel just as it explodes.

Later on, Springer tells Kup that they will be docking with the ''[[Trion]]'' shortly, and that all six Autobots are accounted for, but Kup corrects him, saying that it's actually ''seven''. Kup tells Drift that he's forming a new unit, and wants him to join. Springer is stunned, but Drift accepts. Springer whispers to Kup that it wasn't wise, but Kup says that Drift proved himself down at the Decepticon vessel, and that there's more to fighting the war than blowing heads off. Besides, as Kup says, "everyone deserves a second chance".

In the distant past, the [[All Spark (Movie)|All Spark]] Cube created [[Thirteen original Transformers|a race]] of powerful, trans-dimensional beings as the first inhabitants of [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]]. The Cube gave these beings mighty powers, as well as terraforming their world, but it was not limitless, and gradually became depleted. The first beings learned that the All Spark's power could be replenished by harvesting the energy of stars, but they were unable to locate new stars to suit their purposes, despite their amazing ability to travel between dimensions. Once again, the Cube came to the rescue, creating a race of workers, who had the ability to change their shape.

Like ancient Rome, the last Overlord barely managed to hold together the autocracy through the gladiatorial games, which allowed the city-states to vent their frustrations over low fuel supplies on each other in scripted, controlled conflicts. A war broke out between [[Vos]] and [[Tarn]], however, and Ravage and his partner [[Nightstalker]] attempted to escort the Overlord to safety. As a member of Megatron's Decepticons, Ravage attempted to hijack the [[Ark (G1)|Ark]] four million years ago, only to fail and fall into deactivation sleep until 1984. The detonation of the volcano, [[Mount St. Hilary]], reactivated the Autobots and Decepticons, unleashing their war on Earth. The two factions soon found themselves battling on the site of a drive-in movie theatre, where Ravage was able to distract [[Hound (G1)|Hound]] from determining the location of Bumblebee, who had gone missing. {{storylink|The Transformers (comic issue)|The Transformers}} The Decepticons found themselves in need of energy, so Megatron ordered Ravage to investigate [[Harrison Nuclear Power Plant]]. Ravage and the other Decepticons immediately attacked Harrison Nuclear and claimed it for themselves. Megatron ordered Ravage to sneak into the Ark and provide him with news of the Autobots' fuel situation. Fortunately for the Decepticons, the Autobots had failed to find a source of fuel, so the time came to strike. During the Decepticons' immediate attack on the Ark, Ravage singled out Mirage, intent on finishing the job he had begun earlier. Ravage ignored Mirage's pleas for a peaceful discussion and removed Mirage's arm with his teeth. During one of the Decepticons' many trips to South America, Ravage got to meet up with a real jaguar. Despite his resemblance, the non-robotic jaguar did not take kindly to Ravage's presence and engaged him in a "cat-fight". During Megatron's attempt to convince the humans that the Decepticons were good and the Autobots were evil, Ravage was dispatched to track down [[Spike Witwicky (G1)|Spike Witwicky]] when the human searched for evidence that would exonerate the Autobots. Some time later, Ravage, along with [[Starscream (G1)|Starscream]], [[Thrust (G1)|Thrust]], and Soundwave, was transported to a planet with massive inhabitants, along with a group of Autobots, in a [[space bridge]] accident. The first creature they encountered, [[Aron]], thought the Decepticons were toys. Ravage attempted to escape, but Aron's cat [[Nitro]] chased after Ravage like a mouse (how embarrassing). Aron put him with his pet hamster, Blooper, in his cage. Instead of immediately asserting his dominance by killing the beast, Ravage went and ran on the creature's exercise wheel. When captured by scientists, they attempted to dissect the Transformers, but Ravage was able to pick his locks and free the Decepticons, who hijacked the Autobots light beam to head back to Earth... and landed in a lake filled with alligators. Ravage was still present with the Decepticons in 2005, During the Battle on Autobot City, he was dispatched along with Rumble, Frenzy, and Ratbat to take out Blaster's communication tower and instead were pitted against his own cassette Autobots. After a mystery assailant badly damaged [[Teletraan I (G1)|Teletraan I]], destroying vital data, the thinly-disguised (actually not-at-all-disguised) "Black Panther Man" stationed on the artificial Earth satellite [[Nana]] ordered the mobile computers [[Teletraan 10]] and [[Teletraan 15]] to travel through time collecting data on Transformers of the past and future.

Although his plan was indeed to repair Teletraan I's databanks, Ravage had his own intentions for the information. He had traveled back from the future to the year 2005 in an attempt to use the "bio and tech specs" data stored inside the computer to manipulate the future and create a timeline free of "unnecessary conflict". When he was foiled by the unknown saboteur, he infiltrated the Autobots as Black Panther Man and created the Information Control Center on Nana in order to control the recovery effort.

The bumbling Teletraan 15 (and eventually Teletraan 10 as well) resisted, escaping back in time using Ravage's Transwarp cruiser and becoming the very saboteur that caused her mission to begin. Though annoyed that his scheme had been thwarted, Ravage expressed pride in the independence of his underlings and graciously ejected them into space—a survivable situation for the pair and their [[Kiss Player]] cassette friends.

Ravage is one of the few Decepticon warriors who was granted amnesty at the end of the Great War and reformatted into a Predacon, complete with [[Accents|classy Russian accent]]. He was sent by the [[Tripredacus Council]] to capture [[Megatron (BW)|Megatron]], clean up any messes he might have made, and deal with the rest of the beast warriors. (Whether this translated to "kill them all" in the minds of the Tripredacus Council is unclear, but that was apparently Ravage's intent.) Ravage made the trip to prehistoric Earth in a specially modified stealth [[transwarp cruiser]]. He successfully contacted the [[Maximal|Maximals]] and allied with them to capture Megatron. Using a fragment from the [[Golden Disk (Voyager)|Golden Disk]], Megatron showed Ravage something which shocked him—a message from [[Megatron (G1)|Megatron]], the leader of the Decepticons. As a safeguard against potential defeat, Megatron had left instructions for the descendants of the Decepticons to use transwarp technology to return to prehistoric Earth. Although the message cut out before it was finished, Megatron's plan worked: Ravage, moved by the sight of his former master, released Megatron. After Megatron explained the rest of the message, Ravage joined the [[Predacon (BW)|Predacons]] and turned on the Maximals. Megatron and Ravage attacked Cheetor and Optimus, at which point he transformed into his old mini-cassette alt-mode, jumped into the tape player on his ship, and started playing wicked guitar solos. {{storylink|The Agenda (Part 2)|The Agenda (Part 2)}}

His latest treachery was short-lived. During the assault on the ''[[Axalon (BW)|Axalon]]'', [[Rattrap]] infiltrated his ship and caused an explosion that destroyed the vessel and Ravage himself. Even though the [[Maximal|Maximals]] had left Earth with [[Megatron (BW)|Megatron]], the [[Beast Wars (event)|Beast Wars]] were far from over! [[Tarantulas]]'s "death" was actually a cover for his return in a more powerful form that had ingested the power of the [[Vok]]! He revived Ravage into a new [[Transmetal 2]] body to help boost his forces, which also included [[Iguanus (BW)|Iguanus]] and [[Razorclaw (BW)|Razorclaw]], and prepared to begin the next stage of his evil plan. Soon, Ravage led an attack on [[Primal Prime]], the Vok's new champion, and managed to separate Prime from Tigatron, [[Airazor (BW)|Airazor]], and [[Ramulus]]. Ravage boasted of his "dark cloak" which shrouded him from even Airazor's impressive sensor array, and unleashed a volley of missiles which knocked her out of the sky. Back at Tarantulas' lair, with the Matrix in their possession, Ravage oversaw the construction of a [[transwarp]] portal that would transport them deep within the maw of their new master, [[Unicron]]! Their newly-born ally, [[Spittor (BW)|Spittor]], expressed frustration at their unwillingness to finish off the Maximals during the battle, and Ravage responded brutally. Ravage was immune to Spittor's deadly venom-covered surface, but Spittor was not likewise protected from Ravage's savage claws, so Spittor quickly quit complaining. Once the portal was completed, Tarantulas allowed them to attack the Maximals; Ravage and the others had served their purpose. Ravage led them to the Ark, but warned them to not disturb the [[Autobot|Autobots]] or [[Decepticon|Decepticons]] on board. While Ravage is considered by many to be loyal only to himself, his primary loyalty is actually to Megatron and the dream of Decepticon conquest. He views himself as carrying on where Megatron left off, scheming and operating constantly to end Cybertron's peace and bring back a conquering empire. Any plot and rebellion, you'll find Ravage there.

Magmatron recovered Ravage's heavily-damaged torso, which still contained his spark. He then inserted the spark into a blank [[protoform]], and Ravage was reborn. In his Transmetal 2 body, he and his fellow Predacons, under the command of Magmatron, sought out [[Razorbeast]]'s band of Maximals. Viewing from a safe distance, Ravage ordered his soldiers to engage. Additional Maximal forces arrived, however, and Ravage's forces were defeated. Subsequently, Ravage would utilize all the Predacons under his command in a desperate attack as a diversion while he crept into the Maximal base to steal the [[chronal phase facilitators]] left behind by Magmatron. He was confronted by Razorbeast, who guessed incorrectly that Ravage intended to use them to board the Autobot shuttle and return to Cybertron. Ravage corrected him by stating that he intended to free Megatron and eradicate the Maximal forces. His ambitions, however, were thwarted by [[Snarl (BW)|Snarl]] who caught him off guard and gave Razorbeast the opportunity to knock Ravage offline. {{storylink|The Ascending issue 1|The Ascending issue 1}}

It is not certain if Ravage's intentions for Megatron were another ruse or if he was ''actually'' out of his kitty mind regarding the tactical feasibility of this endeavor.

However, what WAS a ruse was Ravage being offline — as soon as he had been tied up by Razorbeast, the Maximal commander had to leave to help on the battlefield—upon which Ravage stopped playing dead and broke loose rather easily, managing to obtain the chronal displacement bands that Razorbeast had put him right next to after pointing them out. (A tactical genius, that Razorbeast.) However, upon activating the bands, Ravage was pulled into Chronospace by the trapped Magmatron, who warned him of the apocalypse that was to come, and ordered him to form a truce with the Maximals to fight this menace. And after hearing the warning, Ravage heeded the sage advice, sneaking out of the base while chronically displaced and re-emerging to the sight of several gun barrels from [[Lio Convoy]], Razorbeast, and the Pack. However, just as he explained the situation, [[Rartorata]] emerged from nowhere and turned Razorbeast into a Princess Mononoke homage. {{storylink|The Ascending issue 2|The Ascending issue 2}}

After introducing himself to Lio Convoy, Ravage agreed with him on a truce until they dealt with the menace of [[Shokaract]]. Commandeering his Predacons, Ravage's forces defeated Rartorata and Ravage extracted a sample of [[Angolmois]] energy from the [[Blendtron]]. When he told Lio Convoy to abandon the Angolmois-infected Razorbeast, the Pack's leader warned him that if he made light of his friend's peril again, he'd personally de-spark him. Ravage boarded the Pack's ship and returned to Cybertron with them, on the way analyzing the Angolmois capsule, to come up with an vaccine. However, as he explained, none of them were qualified scientists for the task. Ravage survived the crash, along with the Pack, and visited Magmatron again. Magmatron told Ravage to chronally-displace Shokaract so he could "enlighten him". He then showed unusual concern for Razorbeast's Maximals, asking how they were doing. Ravage then returned to the battle and hit Shokaract's heralds with a grenade at an opportune moment. After Shokaract's suicide, Ravage found Magmatron returned and they all lived happily ever after.

====''Binaltech''====
The Government-run [[Intelligence and Information Institute]] (or Triple-I) unearthed a mysterious black box during an archaeological dig. After years of probing, the container, dubbed "Schrödinger's Box" by the group's scientists, was revealed to be the flight recorder of the Predacon Ravage's stealth ship, containing a copy of the feline's personality and memory engrams, deposited into his vessel before his final blaze of glory {{storylink|The Agenda (Part 2)|The Agenda (Part 2)}}. When the scientists found a way to communicate with this personality, it offered them its knowledge of future events in exchange for a new body. Triple-I agreed, and used a fake Binaltech project (filled under the pretense of "technological synthesis tests") to provide their part of the bargain. However, to truly bring the new Ravage to life, Triple-I stole the present-day Ravage—who had been captured by the [[Earth Defense Command]] and stasis-locked into his cassette mode—and implanted him into the new Ravage, thereby 'fusing' the old and new Ravages into one.

This new Ravage, however, had no intention of fulfilling his end of the bargain and, after eliminating his benefactors and learning to his shock that history did not change in his faction's favor, decided to rectify his mistake. First on his agenda was his former commander, Megatron; stealing an Autobot shuttle, he located and repaired the [[Kronosphere]] and—during a decisive battle between Megatron's and Optimus Prime's forces that would have normally ended with the Autobots being forced off of Cybertron and into their moon bases—turned the weapon on his own faction, trapping Megatron and his crew in a space-time rift. This alteration in the timeline served two purposes: first, it would give the Autobots the chance to retake Cybertron, which would then lead to them having to face off against the oncoming [[Unicron]] alone, severely weakening them in the process. The second, and more important, purpose was to keep Megatron alive and in good mental health (relatively speaking), thus preventing him from becoming the insane [[Galvatron (G1)|Galvatron]], and allowing him to lead the Decepticons to victory over the battle-weary Autobots. Ravage also [[Transmuter|Transmuted]] [[Shockwave (G1)|Shockwave]] into a new Binaltech body of his own, so he could lead the remaining Decepticons in Megatron's absence, and secretly derailed many of the Autobots' supply missions, further weakening them for their battle with the Chaos Bringer.

Unfortunately for him, the Autobot named [[Overdrive]] became aware of Ravage's meddling in history, thanks to his acute sensitivity of the timestream, and—with the help of [[Wheeljack (G1)|Wheeljack]]—captured the wayward Decepticon and forced a confession out of him. Ravage, however, was not without a trump card, revealing that his alterations might prevent the deaths of many of the Autobots destined to die in the normal timeline (which, as a distinction between the two, was dubbed 'Prime Time' by Wheeljack, Ravage's altered timeline being called 'Ravage Time'), though in the grand scheme of things, only Optimus could not be considered expendable, as he contained the one thing that could bring down Unicron (the [[Autobot]] [[Matrix of Leadership]]). By the time of his capture, however, Unicron had already been sighted on a collision course with Cybertron and, despite the temptation of preventing future deaths among his ranks, Optimus decided Ravage's plans to be too dangerous to allow to come to fruition. To that end, he roped [[Ultra Magnus (G1)|Ultra Magnus]] into helping him fly to Unicron in a preemptive strike against the monstrous threat, while the other Autobots (left in the command of [[Skids (G1)|Skids]]), were to initiate "[[Operation: Distant Thunder]]", which involved sending a copy of Wheeljack's memories of what Ravage confessed to them, back in time to a point prior to the Decepticon panther's meddling, via the energies located on [[Dinobot Island (G1)|Dinobot Island]]. If "Operation: Distant Thunder" worked as planned, Ravage's plans would be foiled, and any tremors in the timeline he caused would be smoothed over by "Project Body Shop" (aka, the Binaltech project). However, just as Skids gave the signal to transmit the memory engrams, the Autobot base was rocked by an entire fleet of Decepticons. The Autobots just barely managed to hold off the fleet, ensuring that "Operation: Distant Thunder" was a success (though a [[Nemesis Prime (G1)|black Optimus Prime]] ended up separating the Binaltech timeline from the original, as supposedly the Binaltech-bodied Transformers have a higher purpose in the grand scheme of things). Whatever happened to Ravage is not known.

One by one, he downloaded protoform cloning data of the legendary warriors: (Decepticon) Megatron, Skywarp, Starscream, Thundercracker, Reflector, Rumble, Frenzy, Laserbeak, Buzzsaw and Soundwave. Ravage, with a much more arboreal alt mode, was part of the second assassination team Megatron sent after the new [[Prime (rank)|Autobot leader]] Optimus Prime, alongside Soundwave and the future [[Insecticon (G1)|Insecticons]]. Ravage got savaged. First Prime blinded him with an energy burst from his own partner [[Kickback (G1)|Kickback]], then he tossed said Kickback into the feral Decepticon, squashing him against the wall. {{storylink|The War Within|The War Within}} Later, he was an operative of Shockwave's faction during the Dark Ages. He and the rest of Megatron's army were eventually defeated and captured by the Autobots, but their return vessel to Cybertron, the ''[[Ark II]]'', was destroyed in mid-flight, leaving the Transformers apparently dead. Ravage and many others were recovered and reprogrammed by the human mercenary known as [[Lazarus]]. As a test of his control and their power, Lazarus sent his robots to destroy the Smitco oil refinery, and Ravage was there to "pacify" any human resistance. Sometime thereafter, Shockwave arrived on Earth with a detachment of Unified Cybertronian soldiers, equipped to take both Autobots and Decepticons into custody as enemies of the peace. Shockwave quickly granted clemency to Soundwave, Ravage, and the other Decepticons willing to swear fealty to him, after he disposed of Megatron. {{storylink|New World Order|New World Order}} After returning to Cybertron, Soundwave was considering his options when a small sound caught his attention. He dispatched Ravage to investigate, but the poor kitty tried to tackle [[Starscream (G1)|Starscream]] and got a mouthful of [[null-ray]]. {{storylink|Brothers' Burden|Brothers' Burden}} Starscream had plans of his own, and managed to convince Soundwave and his cassettes that following him would be more profitable than throwing in with Shockwave. Long ago on Cybertron, during [[Megatron (G1)|Megatron]]'s rise to power, a secret meeting was orchestrated between Soundwave and Megatron. Ravage, Laserbeak, and Buzzsaw attacked and captured two Autobot spies, [[Bumper]] and [[Fastback]], which they brought to Megatron. After many of the terrorists who would later call themselves Decepticons were captured, Ravage and the others helped [[Starscream (G1)|Starscream]] assassinate the members of the [[Kaon]] council. {{storylink|Megatron Origin|Megatron Origin}}

When [[Bludgeon (G1)|Bludgeon]] was ordered by Megatron to investigate the disappearance of [[Shockwave (G1)|Shockwave]], Megatron in turn ordered Soundwave to secretly keep an eye on him. Soundwave took Ravage and Laserbeak with him, and eventually followed Bludgeon and his accomplices to Earth, where Ravage took on the form of a cassette tape in the year 1984. Soundwave observed as a cassette tape player, he sent Ravage and Laserbeak to follow the [[human]] [[Facsimile|facsimiles]] constructed by Bludgeon to do his enigmatic work. Ultimately, the trail brought the three to Bludgeon's volcanic lair under [[Mount St. Helens]]. When Soundwave realized that Bludgeon's group intended to reawaken [[Thunderwing (G1)|Thunderwing]], Soundwave, Ravage, and Laserbeak desperately attacked, but Ravage was impaled by Bludgeon's sword. Years later in 2007, he was chained up in the [[Skywatch]] headquarters along with Laserbeak and reprogrammed to seek out the other Transformers. {{storylink|Escalation issue 6|Escalation issue 6}} On his first mission out with Laserbeak, however, the pair's signal from Skywatch was blocked by Soundwave. {{storylink|Devastation issue 4|Devastation issue 4}}

Ravage sought out Soundwave in the bedroom of young [[Jimmy]], bursting through his household wall. Soundwave had been stuck in his small tape-player altmode for 25 years, so the assistance of Laserbeak was required to haul his small form away. Ravage regrouped with them both at the base of Mount St. Helens, but it was taking all of Soundwave's fast-dwindling energy to keep blocking Skywatch's mind control signals. A year later, Ravage was reuinted with Soundwave and the rest of his tape comrades. After a failed human counter-attack in New York, Ravage went after the pilot [[Andy]] so as to prevent him reporting back to his commander. He had the military human and a civilian pinned, when a second human male threw an explosive at him. It detonated on his face, distracting him long enough for the humans to escape. [[Starscream (G1)|Starscream]] sent Ravage to kill [[Tobias Muldoon]], who had deserted the Decepticons when he learned they were evil. Ravage tracked him to [[Stanford Merriweather]]'s house in [[San Francisco]] and crashed into the household, startling Muldoon, Merriweather, Merriweather's daughter [[Kitty Merriweather|Kitty]], and [[Mark Twain]].

He then pretty much got his ass kicked by Mark Twain, who took advantage of Ravage being momentarily trapped in rubble to flick a cigar at him, thus igniting a gas leak. The explosion flung Ravage into the bay, never to be seen again.

It also seems that the damage is inconsistent, but in the same areas. Did she get into a fight between getting checked in the base & talking with Silverbolt outside? Or does the bright light of the base conceal her damaged body?

*A major plot point is that due to a Energon vein running beneath both ships, the destruction of either Predacon or Maximal bases would destroy the other. This is never mentioned again and frequently contradicted due to the repeated explosions at both.
By series 2 most of the earth's energon has been stabilised, explaining later explosions.
