In ancient history, the being later referred to as The Fallen was encased in a sarcophagus by his brothers after he attempted to destroy them in a bid to seize the powerful, life-giving artifact known as the All Spark. To free himself from his ages-long confinement, he required a harvester, a device that could drain the energy of a sun to replenish the All Spark. After much time passed, his sarcophagus, now an ancient relic, was discovered by the science teams led by Optimus Prime, and was seized by the increasingly volatile Protector of Cybertron, Megatron. The Fallen seduced Megatron with dreams of power, ordering him to obliterate all that defied them, including Optimus, his mostly non-combat scientists, and soldiers who did not join Megatron's new "Decepticon" army. As part of his plan to escape his prison, the Fallen commanded Megatron to build a large interstellar vessel called the Nemesis to search for a harvester. When the ship was complete, it was launched with a crew that consisted of the bulk of the Decepticon forces and the relic. Megatron pleaded to be able to go along, but the relic ordered him to stay behind to rule Cybertron. With the majority of the Decepticons gone with the Nemesis, ruling Cybertron proved difficult, as the Autobots put up a strong resistance.

After many years of hard fighting and the Autobots finally losing the civil war, Optimus Prime decided to capture the All Spark and hurl it into space, so that Megatron could not possess it and corrupt it. Megatron immediately followed the All Spark on his own with his interstellar alternate mode. Along the way, he found the Nemesis, abandoned by all but the relic. The relic ordered Megatron to continue his pursuit of the All Spark since, once freed, the Cube would seek out a harvester. Meanwhile, Optimus Prime and his crew prepared to follow Megatron in their own ship. Defiance issue 4

Some years later, Soundwave and his crew returned to the Nemesis and received orders from the relic to search for something on the human homeworld of Earth. Arriving to the planet, Soundwave contacted Starscream and requested the latter to rally at his signal. When Starscream learned there were others in stasis aboard the Nemesis, he requested the coordinates, planning to retrieve these soldiers and return to Earth en mass. Alliance issue 2
Revenge of the Fallen (film)

After Megatron was resurrected by the All Spark shard stolen from NEST, he escaped Earth and flew to a cold, icy moon orbiting a ringed gas giant planet: the final resting place of the Nemesis. Entering its hold of stasis pods containing thousands of hatchlings, Megatron encountered the grovelling Starscream, who professed joy at Megatron's resurrection, an assertion that the Decepticon leader did not believe for a moment, especially in light of Starscream's claim that someone had to take command in Megatron's absence. After verbally and physically assaulting Starscream for his presumptions, Megatron entered The Fallen's chamber to apologise for his failure, but was surprised to learn the All Spark's knowledge and power now resided in Sam Witwicky, the human who managed to defeat Megatron in Mission City. As The Fallen laid out his plans for revenge against Earth and the Seven Primes, Starscream sadly reported that without more energon (which the All Spark provided), the hatchlings would continue to die.

The Decepticons returned to Earth to capture the Witwicky boy, but were prevented from doing so by Optimus Prime, the last descendant of the Seven Primes who gave his life to protect the human. Across the vastness of space, The Fallen felt Optimus' death and freed himself from the harness restraining him to the Nemesis, then headed for Earth. Revenge of the Fallen (film)
Notes
*The Nemesis as depicted in IDW Publishing's Defiance issue 4 looks the same as the ship Starscream uses in The Reign of Starscream, but that is unlikely to have any significance. This was due to "Defiance" artists Dan Khanna and Andrew Griffith recycling the design of the Decepticon ship seen in "The Reign of Starscream". The ship's designer Alex Milne did not intend for this ship to represent any version of the Nemesis. In IDW's Revenge of the Fallen Movie Adaptation issue 2 and the actual movie, the ship looks totally different.
*The final resting place of the Nemesis in the movie is not clear. The seeming need for it to be relatively close to Earth so that Megatron can fly there in a short period of time combined with the depiction of a ringed gas giant in the background point to it being a moon of Saturn. However, there is also a nebula shown nearby and the location is given in the novel as being a planet orbiting a dead star.

Captain Carmine Fanzone is the apparent head of the Detroit police department. He hates machines, but in an "I'm old" sort of way rather than being evil or anything. However, despite his oft-repeated mantra of "This is why I hate machines/robots" whenever some device in his vicinity goes on the fritz (often with comedic, embarrassing results), he's pragmatic enough to make use of technology when needed. For example, he's a world champion at yelling at subordinates through megaphones for added effect. And firing heavy weaponry at rampaging robots.

Despite his endless battle with the march of progress and general poor luck, Fanzone is a good cop, dedicated to protecting the people of his city, even if he dislikes certain demographics. He's also not a bad guy to have in a brawl. He doesn't completely trust the Autobots, but he's at least assured that they mean well and, like him, are here to protect and serve the people of Detroit. He just wishes that they'd stop destroying so much of the city in the process.

Along with machines, he also hates lawyers and kids, but most of all, he hates tech support for machines.

:Voice actor: Jeff Glen Bennett (English), Axel Lutter (German)

It was the beginning of a bad day when Captain Fanzone got a call for all units to respond to Sumdac Systems down by Lake Erie. (It was in the middle of his lunch break.) Taking command of the assembled emergency units, Fanzone quickly realized that they were in over their heads fighting a rampaging cybernetic bug-slug, and he ordered all humans to fall back and allow the drones to deal with the creature. When he noticed four cars refusing to fall back, he demanded to know who they were...at which point he realized a cop bike had no driver, and his own car was among the group. It got even weirder when it turned out they were alien robots, but some little girl managed to talk the cops down from shooting at the invaders.

Several days later, Fanzone, the Mayor, Isaac Sumdac, and that robot that looks like his car were taken hostage by an evil jet, but were saved by the aforementioned little girl and the cop bike. As the cop bike took him down, Fanzone declared that this is why he hates machines. Thankless primate. Transform and Roll Out!

Fanzone was courted by Prometheus Black, who hoped to use the Captain's mistrust of machines in general and Sumdac products in specific to win his company a contract with the Detroit police department. However, once he saw the berserk rage that Colossus Rhodes displayed when smashing up the parking lot of an arena, he decided he didn't much like Black's biotechnology either. Not long after, he presided over a demonstration of new Sumdac models which proved to still have a few bugs in the system. Sumdac mentioned that these models had much better recognition systems, thus avoiding a repeat of "the unfortunate incident with the Captain's wife". However, sabotage courtesy of the newly minted supervillain Meltdown ensured that the new robots were still far from ready for prime-time. Total Meltdown

When police responded to the rampage of the Dinobots, Captain Fanzone arrived and asked how bad it was into his megaphone...to an officer who was standing right next to him. The officer pointed at the rampaging robots, as a mechanical triceratops sent a car flying through the air, which hit Fanzone's car, crushing it. Captain Fanzone remained completely unmoved, then grabbed a bazooka from a nearby officer and fired at the triceratops...which promptly ate the projectile. Fanzone again proclaimed his dislike of machines. Blast from the Past

After Nanosec's defeat by the Autobots, Fanzone took the suddenly elderly supervillain into custody. Nanosec (episode)

Captain Fanzone accompanied a number of DPD officers to a military base where the Decepticons Blitzwing and Lugnut had been sighted. He was quite miffed to find that the two giant alien robots had apparently vanished into thin air, unaware that the two had adopted Earth modes and were hiding in plain sight, and with very odd color schemes. Lost and Found (episode)

Captain Fanzone was brought in to lead the investigation regarding Sari Sumdac's disappearance and probable kidnapping. In questioning the Autobots, he was somewhat dubious as to the merits of teaching a little girl "ninja nerve blows." After noticing suspicious behavior from Prowl and Bulkhead, he resolved to follow the two Autobots and pursued them in a (increasingly leaking) submersible. Luckily, Fanzone arrived on the island safely, though his vessel crumbled into pieces. Nature proved almost more hostile to the Captain than technology, ultimately resulting in him getting trapped in quicksand and requiring rescue from the very individuals he was shadowing. Grudgingly going along with them, he uncovered Prometheus Black's plan to genetically alter Sari into a biotechnological shapeshifter. His outrage was brief, however, as the mad scientist dropped him into a gladiatorial arena and sicced his failed experiments on the Captain and Prowl. Forced to team up to survive, the Autobot earned the Captain's respect and trust as they fought their way out of the research facility. Survival of the Fittest

And then that trust was destroyed along with a good portion of Detroit after Megatron's rampage. When an alien ship landed in Detroit, Fanzone told the Autobots to stay away, lest something worse happen. When it turned out to be the Cybertron Elite Guard, Fanzone was resigned to the fact that the Autobots would have to deal with them. While the Autobots aboard the alien ship, he refused Sari Sumdac's plea to go to their aid. Once Optimus Prime stepped out and told them they were Autobots, Fanzone appeared mildly relieved—until a missile carrier and a jerk monster truck rolled right after Prime, with the later vehicle denting Fanzone's car. Why did it have to be robots? The Elite Guard

During a press conference with Mayor Edsel and the monster truck named Sentinel Prime, Fanzone received a phone call from what he believed was a woman reporting on Decepticon activity. Heading to old Detroit, Sentinel Prime condescendingly told the humans to stay away. Later, he was on hand to arrest Henry Masterson, only for Porter C. Powell, the new CEO of Sumdac Systems, to arrive and point out that Masterson had committed no real crimes, as robots weren't protected by law, not to mention that the incident occurred on a boat in international waters between the United States and Canada. Reluctantly, Fanzone released Masterson. This is why he hates businessmen. The Return of the Headmaster

With the prospect of being recalled to Cybertron, the Autobots had the dilemma of who was going to care for Sari after the mean old businessman put her out on the streets. First on their list of grade-A trustworthy humans was Captain Fanzone. Granted, the list was short and also included Prometheus Black and Nino Sexton. In an effort by the Autobots to get the two humans to bond, Sari discussed with Fanzone the merits of being able to stay up as late as she likes, as well as her need for a very large allowance.

Captain Fanzone breathed a sigh of relief when the Autobots got to stay. Sari said they could still hang out. Mission Accomplished

The captain was close by when a breakdown in human-robot relations occurred during the Autobots' assistance with a garbage strike. Breaking up the confrontation between a curmudgeonly citizen and the similarly curmudgeonly Ratchet, he advised the veteran Autobot that he needed to work on his people skills. When someone like Fanzone says this, you really ought to worry. Garbage In, Garbage Out

While pursuing some of the racers of Street Demon show, Fanzone managed to arrest two of them who'd been driven off the road by a blue car when the Autobots provided assistance to the drivers. Interrogating one (and serving as both good cop and bad cop), he learned where the next race would be. As he headed downtown, he was surprised when Bumblebee drove up alongside and opened his door, and Sari Sumdac told him to jump into the car—at which point he noticed a fighter jet shooting missiles at him. Fanzone jumped into Bumblebee, where Sari revealed that Master Disaster was controlling the blue car with some sort of remote control. After the aforementioned blue car won a mid-air game of chicken with the jet, Bumblebee removed the two humans, then went to fight the Decepticon. As Master Disaster tried to sneak away, Fanzone placed him under arrest. Velocity

SUV: Society of Ultimate Villainy

After Meltdown was abducted from jail, Fanzone was called in to investigate. While at the scene, Fanzone encountered Porter C. Powell, who immediately blamed Sari and the Autobots for Meltdown's escape, and was shown a recorded conversation they had with Meltdown as proof. Suspicious, Fanzone asked him how he obtained that recording, which was met with an evasive response from Powell. After Powell pompously demanded that he provide him with police protection, Fanzone ignored him and walked off. Later that night, Fanzone received a call from Powell, informing him that a robbery was commited by the Autobots, though the only thing they took was Meltdown's genetic modifier. Turns out that the robbery and Meltdown's escape were caused by their "Spider-Lady Friend" blackmailing the Dinobots and Optimus Prime into helping her and the Autobots returned the genetic modifier back to Powell, albeit melted and damaged beyond repair. An irate Powell demanded that Fanzone arrest the Autobots for endangering his life, but Fanzone, already fed up with Powell at this point, said he's going to get some sleep and walked away, but not before telling Powell to do the same or he'll arrest him for being a public nuisance. Black Friday (episode)

After Optimus Prime defeated Headmaster, Fanzone showed up mutely to arrest him. TransWarped

Fanzone was given a Sound Wave for Christmas, with the note "A machine even you could love". It proceeded to take over his mind. Meanwhile, in a virtual world, Bumblebee stole virtual-Fanzone's car.

Upon the real Soundwave's defeat, Fanzone was freed. Human Error, Part II
Notes
* According to Marty Isenberg, Captain Fanzone was named after Detroit native Carmen Fanzone, a neighbor of his and a former player for the Chicago Cubs. Due to the relative scarcity of Fanzones in Michigan, the real Fanzone had to sign a waiver before the character could be used. The real Carmen Fanzone also doesn't look or sound anything like the Animated one.

* Fanzone's ability to open his eyes seems to vary from episode to episode. In many episodes (seemingly the ones animated by The Answer Studio) his eyes are permanently closed... which does match the stock character model seen above, granted, but probably isn't how he's supposed to be 24/7.

* Captain Fanzone is so slow to adopt new technology that he has a rotary dial cell phone...and he even has problems with that.

* His car has been crushed several times, yet it continues to show up to be crushed again. He must have good insurance.

* Fanzone's extended family, including his wife and mother-in-law, have been alluded to on a number of occasions, but have yet to make an actual appearance. Given that it's been implied that the other Fanzones are just as susceptible to "unfortunate incidents" with technology as the captain himself is, that's probably just as well.

* Fanzone is actually the first human ever to set foot on Cybertron in the Animated universe.
Maggie now works for the Rand Corporation with Glen Whitmann. She has a strong Australian accent.

Maggie and her fellow analysts were present at an emergency briefing held at the Pentagon when Secretary of Defence Keller revealed that SOCCENT Forward Operations Base in Qatar had been attacked by a mysterious and unidentified force, leaving no survivors. Pressing the point home to the young computer experts, Keller said that their enemy had attempted to hack into the base's mainframe but failed, leading the government to the conclusion that they would try again. Catching Maggie's attention was the only clue left at the base, a mysterious frequency encountered during the hack, one unlike any seen before.

While analyzing the frequency for its origin, Maggie and her team discovered a hostile agent hacking into the mainframe of Air Force One, accessing almost the entire US Military defense grid. With no way to stop the enemy, Maggie suggested disconnecting all their servers, which proved to be successful. Later, Maggie snuck into a confidential briefing between Keller and the Joint Chiefs of Staff. When one high-ranking officer commented that the attack might have come from North Korea or Russia, she interrupted, explaining that the capabilities of this enemy were far in advance of anything they'd ever seen. She theorized the possibility of a living organism being the culprit, but Keller was unwilling to listen unless she provided evidence to back up her claims.

Frustrated at being stonewalled by the government and the military, Maggie copied the contents of the frequency data onto an SD memory card and left the Pentagon. Arriving at her friend Glen's house, she explained to him the dire consequences she would face if she was discovered with this information, and that he was the only hacker with the skills to access the secrets embedded within. His curiosity piqued, Glen proceeded to hack into the data, discovering images and files about something called Project: Iceman and an organization named Sector Seven. Within the signal itself, she and Glen discovered strange symbols. Before they could view any more information, an FBI assault team crashed through the front door and arrested everybody in his house.

Detained in a holding room at the Pentagon, Maggie observed Glen eat an entire plate of donuts while he pontificated his theory that the food was a test in character and guilt: If one did not eat the donuts, one was guilty, and he, for one, had a totally clear conscience. When Federal agents entered the room, Glen immediately cracked and accused Maggie of all the wrongdoing while casting himself in a sympathetic (if somewhat pathetic) light. Maggie told him to shut up as she explained she needed to speak to Keller and that they needed to go about this crisis in a different direction before the United States went to war with the wrong country.

Much later, as Glen was recovering from his donut binge with a bottle of Pepto Bismol, Keller suddenly entered the holding room, telling Maggie to come with him as an advisor. He allowed Maggie to bring Glen along as her advisor. Soon, on a Army Blackhawk helicopter bound for Hoover Dam, she and Glen found themselves with two teenagers, Sam Witwicky and Mikaela Banes. Attempting to break the ice, Sam initiated conversation, prompting Maggie to ask him why the government got them. To Glen's astonishment, he replied that he had bought a car that turned out to be an alien robot.

Landing, the group joined up with Keller, Captain William Lennox, Sergeant Robert Epps and their men, escorted by Sector Seven director Seymour Simmons and Tom Banachek. The two spooks explained that they were all here because they'd been exposed to the N.B.E.s, a.k.a. the alien robots. Brought to a large, top-secret chamber, the group saw N.B.E.-1, whom Sam identified as Megatron, leader of the Decepticons. When he explained that Megatron was after the All Spark cube to transform all of Earth's technology into an army, Simmons brought the group to a viewing room looking over an even larger chamber encasing the massive All Spark.

To demonstrate the All Spark's power, the group was then herded into a containment room where experiments using the radiation of the All Spark were conducted. Asking for phones and electronic devices, Simmons took Glen's proffered Nokia cell phone, commenting that they were nasty stuff, yet the Japanese know the way of the samurai. Maggie incredulously (but quietly) noted that Nokia is from Finland, to which Keller responded (also quietly) that while that was true, if she hadn't noticed, Simmons was a rather strange man. Exposed to the All Spark's power, Glen's cell phone was transformed into a small, spider-like mechanical beast with a tiny machine gun and rocket launcher, which jumped at Maggie as she looked on in astonishment. Griping that the beast was breaking its containment case, Simmons sent an enormous electrical shock into the creature, killing it. Soon after, Hoover Dam came under attack by the Decepticons, intent on freeing Megatron.

Needing to get word out to the US Air Force while traditional communications were down, Keller, Simmons, Glen and Maggie rushed to an archive storage room where there was an old radio. However, they soon discovered that while the radio worked, it had no microphone. Maggie suggested to Glen that they hotwire a computer into the radio to send out a tone that they could use as Morse code to contact the military. As Glen did so, a Decepticon attacked, forcing Maggie to help barricade the door and load shells into antique shotguns for Keller. Simmons passed her a shotgun as he blasted the Decepticon with a flamethrower. The small enemy sneaked in via the air ducts and attacked the group with machine guns as Maggie, Keller and Simmons fought back. Eventually, Glen successfully managed to contact the Air Force just as an errant CD-razor projectile fired by the Decepticon destroyed its own head, (presumably) killing it. Transformers (2007)
Trivia
* The film novelization provides a glimpse of an earlier version of her character: a rebel with green streaks in her hair and a diamond-stud nose ring. This look was apparently discarded in favor of a more telegenic backstory: People are prejudiced against her because she is too hot. Awesome.

* Maggie's name is just Maggie:

* In the official movie novelization she mentions she put herself through college by modeling. Surprised? Nah.

* In IDW Publishing's Movie Adaptation comic, Maggie only appears in two scenes in issues 3 and 4, with Glen missing entirely. Additionally, the lack of appearances causes a weird discrepancy between issues 1 and 3—in issue 1, operators on board Air Force One detect Frenzy's intrusion into their network on their own; yet in issue 3, Maggie tells Sam that she "caught an alien hacking into Air Force One" (like she did in the movie).

Dreadwing isn't particularly smart, which makes people wonder where he got the technology that allows him to teleport. He obviously didn't invent it himself, and no one else on either side of the war has the ability, so all signs point toward him having stolen it. He's not really liked by his fellow Decepticons, because of his penchant to perform nasty pranks on them as often as he does it on Autobots. As such, most of his time is spent alone, plotting his nasty schemes and spiking other robots' gas tanks with sugar. He's not the first one to pull off stunts like that.

Dreadwing was once a Class Alpha drone unit but eventually became a warrior himself and placed in command of the rest of the Class Alpha drones. This gives him a lot of pull with the 'Cons, due to the sheer number of warriors he can call in, and he follows orders eagerly and without question. However, he wants to contribute more to the Decepticon cause, but feels that the higher ups won't give him a chance to really prove himself. He's still frustrated that he wasn't asked to accompany his fellow Decepticons to Earth to search for the Allspark, and he's taking it pretty hard. Really hard.

Fiction
IDW Transformers movie comics
Many years ago, Dreadwing was a member of the Cybertronian armed forces under the command of Protector Megatron. After the discovery of a mysterious relic and a devastating attack by aliens Defiance issue 1, Megatron declared his military dictatorship of the planet and led the flight-capable soldiers into a counter-attack on the invaders. Dreadwing commanded the Class Alpha drones, but bungled the job, managing to lose half of their attack force in seconds. Defiance issue 2 Later, when Megatron branded Optimus Prime's followers as traitors, Dreadwing joined the new "Decepticons" faction. Defiance issue 3

During the ensuing civil war, Dreadwing spotted the All Spark and Megatron pursuing it, and reported it to Starscream. Starscream began to follow in his own ship, but the Autobot Ark appeared and released an explosive concussion chain, which badly damaged both Dreadwing and the Decepticon ship. The Reign of Starscream Issue Number One Fully repaired in the intervening years, Dreadwing was among those present to welcome Starscream on his return to Cybertron. Dreadwing offered to transfer the data from Frenzy's databanks and deliver it to Starscream, and also checked on Starscream's well-being after hearing an explosion. The Reign of Starscream Issue Number Three

When Starscream's Allspark failed, Dreadwing revealed he had used his massive drone army to take over the Cybertronian Decepticons, and, seemingly resentful of having been left behind when the Nemesis was launched, tried to use his troops to take down Starscream's team. However, Starscream and his loyal soldiers proved a challenge, and when the Autobots managed to deactivate the drones, Dreadwing made a run for his ship. Starscream followed, and Dreadwing tried to kill him using the transwarp energy from the space bridge. The ship arrived at the Mars terminal, destroyed, but with Dreadwing still intact. Unfortunately, so was Starscream, who ripped out his spark core and crushed it. The Reign of Starscream Issue Number Five

Starscream kept Dreadwing's head as a trophy. Alliance issue 1. Upon arriving on Mars, Soundwave examined his head, before tossing it aside. Alliance issue 2
Purple Dreadwing drones patrol the skies of the conquered United States of America.

There was also a sentient non-drone Dreadwing, coloured in a blue-grey camo pattern. He was one of Megatron's main troops, on equal rank with Starscream, and able to command Decepticon drone units in battle. Alongside Starscream, he was dispatched to prevent a NATO nuclear strike. Transformers Comic issue 9 They and their Thundercracker troops managed to wipe out the NATO fleet within ten minutes, and then Dreadwing carried out his primary goal - the obliteration of the French government and NATO chiefs in Paris. Transformers Comic issue 10

There were also lots of Autobot Dreadwings. While the Decepticon Dreadwings had camera lens-like faces, the Autobot Dreadwings had heads with faceplates. The Autobot versions also had slightly different bellies. Dreadwings of both sides have equal of Attack and Speed abilities, with little defence. Battle for the Allspark

Transformers The Game (console)
Dreadwings appearred as solo attackers for both the Autobot and Decepticon armies. Aside from the faceplate differences, Decepticon Dreadwings had a gray camo deco, while the Autobot versions had blue and yellow "Blue Angels" markings. Both were shielded against artillery in robot mode.

Their main weapon was a deadly flamethrower built into each arm. It had limited range, but hoo doggies does it hurt. They were also capable of creating a burning ring of fire by launching into the air then coming down slowly in robot form. They couldn't be hit with melee attacks while their flame throwers were in use. The only way to stop the flame throwers was to throw something at them, which would leave them vulnerable to melee attacks.

Autobot versions of the drone commonly accosted Starscream while he completed his objectives at a military airfield. Both sides used them as backups during the final showdown in Mission City.
* The subtle differences between Dreadwing and the Class Alpha drone units are an appearance of purple bits on the drone commander, more spiky head chevrons, and something resembling eyebrow articulation that is absent in the drones. :Brawl is a Decepticon from the 2007 movie franchise in the live-action film continuity family. He is sometimes referred to as Devastator, and sometimes has a twin called Devastator.
To say Brawl is a warrior is like calling Cybertron a hunk of metal. Brawl does not just enjoy fighting, he is consumed by it. Tearing Autobots apart is embedded into his very core, and every fiber-optic cable of his being is obsessed with wild, unyielding combat. The only thing he enjoys, or even cares about, is the fury of battle. And he loves a good explosion. Particularly if it's one he created, and if it was an Autobot that is exploding.

Many years in the past, Brawl was a member of Cybertron's defense forces, under the command of Protector Megatron. After the discovery of a mysterious relic and an alien attack Defiance issue 1, Megatron changed significantly, altering the military's mission from one of protection of Cybertron to making war upon the hostile aliens and anybody who would stand in their way. Defiance issue 2 Brawl was sent on a mission to capture science division leader (and thorn in Megatron's side) Optimus and eliminate his fellow scientists and the unwitting security team sent to arrest him. Brawl fired an explosive round that scattered the "traitors", but the wily Optimus managed to bury Starscream and his fliers under a mountain of rubble. They survived survived and subsequently joined Megatron's new "Decepticon" faction. Defiance issue 3

During the war, while Starscream's forces assaulted the Autobots at Tyger Pax, Brawl bashed his way past faltering Autobot defenders, bringing news that Megatron knew where the All Spark was. When Starscream excitedly declared that he must go to the cube, Brawl questioned his loyalty, prompting Bonecrusher to threaten the latter with violence lest he not take the group to Megatron. After witnessing Megatron leave Cybertron to chase after the escaping All Spark, the Decepticons followed. Planetfall

They boarded a Decepticon battlecruiser and gave chase to Optimus Prime's starship, only to fall prey to an Autobot trap. After repairing their ship, they followed the All Spark's trace energy pulse to the fourth planet of a distant solar system, where they encountered Beagle 2 Rover a primitive lifeform that have could have been born from the All Spark's energy. The Reign of Starscream issue 1

The Decepticons landed on Earth and were detected by a nearby US air base, which sent an armoured personnel carrier to investigate. Brawl took the words right out of Bonecrusher's mouth, remarking that at last there was something to kill. Wreckage assumed the form of the carrier vehicle, destroyed it, then led Starscream's unit to the base. Brawl trans-scanned a nearby human tank and joined the others in leveling the base. Planetfall

<strike>Brawl</strike> Devastator was known as Megatron's "pet weapon of mass destruction". Nonchalant and cavalier (he even has bandoliers of bullets!), he follows a single guiding principle - "keep it stupid... simple!".

He also looks physically similar to Brawl, who's some other guy. Transformers Comic issue 3

Megatron threw him at the Autobots so he could reach the All Spark, and had armed him with a foldspace warhead. When the Autobots pointed out that at this range, the warhead would take him out as well, he replied "Eh. So?" and fired anyway. He loves a good explosion that much. Transformers Comic issue 2

Devastator ended up warped to an uninhabited world covered with cities, and out of sheer boredom went around smashing a lot of it before he realized he should try getting off the planet. Yet every time he attempted to focus long enough to find a way to do so, he would be mysteriously and suddenly filled with a violent rage that would make him smash and blow up more stuff. Eventually he was able to concentrate long enough to find and scan a vehicle mode as well as lock onto an energy source he can use to replenish his fuel reserves to leave the planet.

The mysterious Flame, a power source that drove the planet's inhabitants to murder, tried to influence his mind towards rampaging until his fuel ran out; as he got nearer to it, it created apparitions of the other Decepticons that taunted him for his stupidity and attacked him. This failed to influence him as it would require Devastator to have introspection, or care about being stupid - instead, he simply carried on to the Flame, absorbed some of it, and left the planet. Transformers Comic issue 4

A mere half-hour after Megatron's death and before his body was dumped in the sea, Devastator was resurrected by Starscream as a mindless zombie, a soulless monster that would only destroy. It's what he would've wanted. Transformers Comic issue 7

Ghosts of Yesterday prequel novel
Brawl was oddly absent from events surrounding the Ghost 1 discovery. Whether he was aboard the Nemesis and otherwise indisposed or joined up with Starscream at a later date is unknown. Ghosts of Yesterday

Transformers (2007) film
Brawl (also named "Devastator" here) was lying in wait at a military depot when Starscream contacted the Decepticon infiltration team, informing them that the All Spark had been found and they were to move out. Devastator acknowledged that he was in transit and rolled out of the depot. He met up with Barricade and Bonecrusher and hit the highway, though Devastator separated from the group before Barricade and Bonecrusher got on the freeway and met up with Autobot/human convoy.

Arriving at Mission City in the aftermath of Starscream's opening attack on the Autobots and their human allies, Devastator fired shells from his main gun, narrowly missing several targets before running over vehicles abandoned by human bystanders. As the American soldiers fanned out in search of cover, the Autobots charged Devastator. He focused his attacks on Ironhide, who was forced to somersault over his shells. This distraction allowed the Autobot Jazz to jump on top of Devastator and point his cannon away from the humans. Devastator managed to transform and throw the smaller Autobot off him, but not before Jazz destroyed his left side rocket launcher pod.

Damaged, but not down, Devastator fired two rockets from his remaining launcher, missing the heavily armed Autobot as he somersaulted over the missiles. Ironhide and Jazz managed to fire several shots at Devastator, disorienting him. Ratchet followed up by using his buzzsaw to slice off Devastator's left arm. The humans then fired a volley of sabot rounds while Ratchet supported with suppressive fire, knocking Devastator to the ground. The only thing that saved him was the Autobots and humans' retreat at the arrival of Megatron. Eventually, Ironhide and Ratchet disengaged from the battle as they left to protect ladiesman217, who was escaping with the All Spark, while Jazz took on Megatron. Now with fewer targets to deal with, Devastator sprayed heavy machine gun fire at the remaining humans, whose leader remarked that the battle was not going well.

Devastator continued to pin down the soldiers until the damaged Autobot Bumblebee suddenly attacked while on the back of of a tow truck driven by Ladiesman217's female companion. Devastator tried to return fire, only for his machine gun, his last ranged weapon, to be destroyed by Bumblebee's plasma cannon. With the Autobot's return to battle being the deciding factor, the human soldiers rallied and fired more sabots, piercing Devastator's armor until a final shot from Bumblebee struck Devastator's spark and killed him. Devastator died as he lived: destroying things, for his chassis crashed into the building the human soldiers had taken refuge in.

Devastator's body was dumped into the deepest part of Laurentian Abyss along with his fellow Decepticons, in the hopes the intense pressure and cold will destroy whatever remained. Transformers (2007)

In the final battle Brawl was not killed, but saturated with power from the All Spark and freed from the influence of Megatron. He disappeared into the rugged land around the Hoover Dam. Making his way over the course of months to the most troubled spot on Earth (presumably the Middle East), he adapted his vehicle mode to the new environment, went to ground and waited. Brawl now gains up energy from the blazing sun, and emerges only to satisfy his hunger for destruction by attacking and annihilating human convoys and armored columns. To those living in the region, he has become a myth, but to those few who survive his attacks he is an all too real monster.

The Autobots never found him, but he laid in wait for a new Decepticon leader to emerge. Now Megatron is back from the dead, Brawl is ready to tear into the Autobots again!
Brawl, Bonecrusher and Starscream were hiding out in a human military installation in the desert when they received word that Frenzy and Barricade had discovered the location of the AllSpark. As Optimus Prime attempted to rendez-vous with the other Autobots near Hoover Dam, Brawl blocked his only path — a hidden Air Force hangar tunneled into the canyon. He fought Prime with all his might, but the Autobot leader was too much for him. As Sector 7 tanks arrived, he converted to his vehicle mode, managing to con the tanks into his own reinforcements. In his tank mode, Prime could no longer damage him as much and had to resort to smashing the tanks into Brawl to damage him. At the Hoover Dam, he is sent to capture a human tank, which he retrieves intact so as to interrogate the occupant human. Once the interrogation is done, the tank doesn't stay intact long, as he can be seen merrily destroying it while Create-A-Bot converses with Barricade. : Deluxe-class Brawl transforms into a heavily modified fictional tank based upon an M1A1 Abrams, fitted with angular reflective armor, a mine plow and external spare fuel canisters. Mounted upon the turret is a smaller sub-turret housing two anti-aircraft cannons and rocket launchers. The spring-loaded main cannon fires a translucent red projectile.
: During transformation to robot mode, automorphing pushes down on the front of his tank during transformation raises the front of the treads and his head up into position for his robot mode, and vice versa for the tank mode. He is armed with his spring-loaded main gun on his right arm and a flip-out blade on his left.

: There is a design flaw in the way Brawl's arms attach to his torso - the rhombic peg and socket system used does not provide a tight enough fit, and thus the arms have a tendency to detach at the shoulder when moved. There have also been quite a few reports of the teeny-tiny automorph gears - molded out of fragile translucent plastic - cracking and breaking into pieces, leaving the automorph non-functional.
Leader Class toys
*Decepticon Brawl (Leader Class, 2007)

: The larger, more heavily armed version of Brawl, this figure is more accurate to the character's CGI model, with more articulation and weapons than the Deluxe-class figure.

: While having no firing missiles, it does feature a number of Automorph gimmicks. First, pressing the button on the front of the tank causes his head and chest pieces to move into position. A scoop/claw has been added to the front of the tank, probably to make the lever to push his head back down stand out less. Second, pressing the headlights on either side of the front end causes the paneling to swing back into place. Finally, Brawl has automorph weapons on each of his forearms - his right arm has a quadruple-barreled cannon that extends as you slide a switch forward, while his left features a swing-out claw, deployed by pulling back the arm's cannon.

: Other features include lights and sounds, activated by pushing back on the main cannon or turning the upper turret. The turret sounds can also be activated by pressing the two small buttons on the top of the turret, on either side of the machine gun. A pair of blades can also swing down from the legs.

: Possibly due to safety reasons or just the desire on the part of the designers to not see fragile parts break, the main cannon and anti-aircraft guns on Brawl's turrets detach from their mounting points rather easily.

: An extensive redeco of Leader Class Brawl in desert colors, as part of the AllSpark Power refresh of the movie toyline. His vehicle mode comes with battle damage carbon scoring as well as Autobot "kill" markings. His clear plastic parts are cast in bright translucent blue, along with the bright blue paint seen on his robot mode, a color accent he has in common with the rest of the AllSpark Power toys.

: "Double Missile Brawl" is a simplified version of Brawl. Designed for younger children, his transformation is designed with speedy conversion in mind, with relatively few steps compared to the Deluxe class Brawl. Additionally, in an effort to keep the design sturdy for play and safety, he has relatively low articulation for a figure of his size, while the design style of the figure is more rounded and 'friendly'. Two pressure-launched missiles are fired from his two missile pods.
: Cyber Slammers Brawl is an amazingly cute tank that transforms into an amazingly cute sentient machine of mass destruction. "Slam" his robot mode down into tank mode and he rolls along, slowly transforming back up into robot mode. Like most Cyber Slammers, Brawl manages to cram most of his vehicle mode's major details into a compact, super-deformed version of that mode.
According to a fan who attended the Australian press conference, Bay had confirmed that he had decided to use that name "Devastator" because he had preferred it, while Hasbro considered the name in the movie a "continuity error", and Orci even claimed that he and Kurtzman had pointed out said "error" in the editing room twice. But whoops, Titan Magazines had just done two strips with him called Devastator! The editor hurriedly stated in #3's letters page that Devastator was a different guy, honest, and a cover for a later issue made sure to identify Brawl as Brawl; so now there's two of them (and Brawl nicks Devastator's toys, the dastard)! Finally, IDW's Reign of Starscream retconned in that he was called Brawl at Mission City all along.

* And then Revenge of the Fallen brought two new guys called Devastator and Brawl.

* Does your head hurt? Mine does.

* Despite rumors to the contrary, he is not credited in the film under either name.

* The name "Brawl" was previously also a working name for the character ultimately called Barricade.

* According to Picture Vehicle Coordinator Steve Mann, the filming prop of Brawl was a redress of a tank prop made for another movie. Specifically, it was the "stealth tank" seen in the film xXx: State of the Union. Notable changes include the addition of missile launchers on the sides of the secondary turret and a mine plow on the front end of the tank.

*Jazz' move of racing-transforming-boarding Brawl is not completely unlike the scene in The Transformers: The Movie where Kup does the same thing with Blitzwing. The DVD's special features confirm this was the inspiration.

* Brawl is the most heavily armed Transformer in the movie, followed by Blackout. Unfortunately for him, he has no chance to unleash his full armament, as many of his weapons are broken before he can use them. For example, Jazz kicks off the four-tube missile launcher on his left shoulder, and Ratchet slices off his left arm at the elbow, blades and all. Don't you just hate wasted potential?
Barricade
:Barricade is a Decepticon from the 2007 movie franchise in the live-action film continuity family. He is also known as N.B.E. 04.

Barricade is apparently a complicated robot. He's considered "fractious" even by Decepticon standards, yet is willing to give Starscream the benefit of the doubt and follow where he leads, at least for the time being. Though not totally dedicated to the service of the Decepticons' current leader, he is much more cautious and reserved about expressing mutinous dissent than say most. He believes that Starscream is vital in their search for Megatron and the All Spark. In many ways this makes him Starscream's closest ally in the naturally combative Decepticon ranks. Then again, it's been said that he likes to trick people into trusting him, just so he can see their reactions when they find out just how much of a bad idea it was.

If his attitude toward his fellow Decepticons is inconsistent, his attitude toward the Autobots is the same thing: kill all Autobots. Barricade might not be as large as most of his peers, but he is every bit as deadly. He thoroughly relishes every chance in fighting the Autobots. He's smart enough to let one live if he thinks he or the Decepticons can use it to their advantage, but most of the time, they're dead before someone's even thought of a plan.

Many years in the past, Barricade was a member of Cybertron's defense forces, under the command of Protector Megatron. After the discovery of a mysterious relic and an alien attack Defiance issue 1, Megatron changed significantly, altering the military's mission from one of protection of Cybertron to making war upon the hostile aliens and anybody who would stand in their way. Defiance issue 2

Barricade was sent on a mission to capture science division leader (and thorn in Megatron's side) Optimus and eliminate his fellow scientists and the unwitting security team sent to arrest him. He and Crankcase observed Brawl nailing the "traitors" with an explosive round, and he was eager to get into the fight. He was ordered back by the glory-hound Starscream, but Barricade had the last laugh when the wily Optimus managed to bury the aerial forces under a mountain of rubble. After they were dug out, they all joined the rest of Megatron's new "Decepticon" faction. Defiance issue 3

During the subsequent civil war, Barricade was one of the Decepticons under the command of Starscream at a battle outside of Tyger Pax. As they were mopping up the last remnants of Autobot resistance, Barricade amused himself by playing with the decapitated head of a fallen Autobot. When he saw the All Spark jettisoned into space, Barricade realized that Cybertron would soon die. Bonecrusher said to let it die, and he could join it. Barricade did not bring up the discussion again. Planetfall

Ordered by Megatron to follow Optimus Prime's ship, Starscream hastily assembled a crew to go after them. Barricade not-exactly-quietly questioned the need to hurry, as he thought Megatron would have captured the All Spark by now and would have take care of the Autobots in time. He also questioned Starscream's truthfulness. Unfortunately, he was overheard by Starscream and was chastised for his big mouth. The Decepticon infiltration unit under the command of Starscream arrived on Earth in the year 2003. Barricade scanned a Saleen S281 police car, then destroyed the original human vehicle to cover his tracks, as did his fellow Decepticons when choosing their new forms. After being active on Earth for some time, Barricade arrived to pick up Frenzy after the smaller Decepticon's attempt to hack into and sabotage the United States military network on Air Force One. Using data Frenzy had acquired, the two learned of Sector Seven, "Project Iceman", and Witwicky man, the discoverer of the entombed Megatron. The duo were able to use the internet to learn of both Witwicky man's descendants, ladiesman217, and a pair of glasses that Megatron had accidentally marked with the location of the long-lost All Spark. Frenzy declared that they needed to find ladiesman217, and Barricade moved out in search of him.
Later, Barricade confronted ladiesman217 regarding his recent eBay auctions while the human was fleeing Bumblebee, whom the human mistakenly believed was out to harm him. Ladiesman217 fell for Barricade's ruse, and requested the "officer's" help, only for Barricade to transform before him. As ladiesman217 fled, Barricade knocked him onto the hood of an abandoned car, then violently demanded information on eBay item 21153. Ladiesman217 and his female friend, who had been drawn into the encounter, managed to escape him when Bumblebee convinced the boy to trust him, and Barricade pursued both the Autobot and two humans to a junkyard. After temporarily losing and then regaining their position, he charged into battle, activating his mace/rotating blade, and dispatched Frenzy to chase down the humans. However, his battle with Bumblebee ended with Barricade heavily damaged. Considering the fact that Frenzy was decapitated, he got off lucky.
Devastator soon broke off on an alternate route, while Barricade and Bonecrusher hit the freeway, making contact with the Autobot/human convoy. However, before he could strike the final blow, a bunch of humans began attacking, which wouldn't be a problem if they weren't equipped with the scientific genius of Kaminari Ishihara and Petr Andronov, in addition to William Lennox and Robert Epps firing sabot rounds into him. Once the humans were clear, Optimus pulled a surprise move by jumping out of the pit and dumping rock on top of him. Once he was buried, Optimus melted the top layer of rock, trapping Barricade long enough for the NEST team to defeat Starscream and take him in. Barricade was sent to Tranquility to hunt down Sam Witwicky and the glasses that held the location of the All Spark. He attempted to capture Sam and Mikaela outside their high school, but Bumblebee stepped in. The humans fled for the nearby baseball field with Barricade in pursuit, but Bumblebee beat him to them, protecting them while they ran away again. He followed them to the power plant, but was once again foiled by Bumblebee and sent packing.

Later, in Mission City, Barricade made one last grab for the All Spark after Starscream, Blackout and Brawl had each fallen to the Autobots. However, he was once again intercepted by Bumblebee, and finally defeated for good. Transformers The Game (console)
Decepticon campaign
Upon reaching Tranquility and choosing his alternate mode, Barricade attempted some recon, but encountered a squad of Autobot drones, a battle which spilled out to the local baseball field. Shortly afterwards, he was informed by Starscream that Frenzy had information they needed, but the diminutive Decepticon had been captured by Sector Seven agents. Barricade tracked them to the power plant, then hounded the agents across town in their highly resistant van, wrecking every building in his path until Frenzy was recovered.

Finally on the trail of Sam, he was stopped cold by Sam's protector Bumblebee. Barricade got the upper hand, but the Autobot led him on a chase that ended in Bay's Demolition lot, and an ambush courtesy of a lot of Autobot drones. Barricade overcame the odds, and hunted down Bumblebee once more, finally besting the Autobot and taking the glasses from Sam. Having located Megatron, Barricade relayed his findings to Starscream, who directed him to specific coordinates while coming to the aid of Bonecrusher and Brawl.
When the Decepticons converged on Mission City, Barricade was tasked with taking out the Autobot Jazz. When Bumblebee went to investigate the source of an image found on the internet, he found Barricade waiting for him. After failing to lose Bumblebee in spite of all of Tranquility's police force being after him, he engaged him in combat. Unable to defeat Bumblebee, he hastily retreated. Later on, he encountered Bumblebee and Optimus Prime as the two were leaving Hoover Dam. With a large helicopter Decepticon at his side, he demanded the All Spark from Prime, not even caring about the consequences. ====Transformers: Decepticons====
When the Decepticon Create-A-Bot arrived on Earth, his mentor, Starscream, directed him to rendezvous with Barricade, already active on the planet. Barricade was not enamored with the idea of a partner, feeling that the Create-A-Bot would only slow him down, but after putting the rookie through his paces, he permitted him to join him on his mission in the town of Tranquility. Barricade revealed to the Create-A-Bot what Starscream had not—that the signal which had brought the Decepticons to Earth had come from Megatron himself. The rookie dismissed Megatron as a relic, and was struck by Barricade for the insult. With some help from the rookie, Barricade discovered that the Autobot Bumblebee was already on Megatron's trail; Barricade pursued Bumblebee, defeated him in battle on the outskirts of Tranquility, and acquired the data he had gathered.

Now aware that the human military organization Sector Seven was holding Megatron, Barricade arranged for Blackout to the Create-A-Bot to a Qatar military base, where they and Brawl hacked Sector Seven's databanks. The file they obtained was brought back to Barricade in Tranquility for deciphering, and revealed that Megatron was being held by Sector Seven in the Hoover Dam. The Create-A-Bot suggesting relaying this to Starscream, but Barricade loudly refuted the idea, happy that the impending resurrection of Megatron would mean that he would no longer have to serve under a cowardly, back-stabbing bureaucrat like Starscream. Swayed by Barricade's words, the rookie revealed a fact that Starscream had told only him—that the All Spark was also present on Earth. Shocked by the revelation, Barricade realized that Starscream had been scheming to acquire the All Spark for himself, to ensure that not even Megatron could remove him from power. With the rookie now turned from Starscream and on his side, Barricade was able to liberate Megatron from Sector Seven, and the Decepticons pursued the Autobots, now in possession of the All Spark, back to Tranquility. During the battle, Starscream finally claimed the All Spark from Bumblebee, and Barricade stood against him, intent on bringing him in for treason. Alas, the All Spark-powered Starscream destroyed Barricade, but with in death, Barricade proved to the Create-A-Bot what it truly meant to be a Decepticon. An interesting note: Barricade became one of the only Decepticons to transform while fighting in this game, and he was very effective at it. Transformers Autobots/Decepticons
As with MOST deluxe-class cars in the Movie line, he features clear windows for his windshield and doors, but oddly his rear window is opaque black plastic. Stored inside the engine bay, behind the car's ram bar is a mini-figure Frenzy disguised as Barricade's grill. We say mini, but Frenzy would be about six feet tall, scale wise.

: In robot mode, Barricade quite faithfully reproduces the CGI design, though his chest cannot deform to the same extent. He features a reasonable amount of articulation with ball joints for his shoulders and upper legs, ratcheting and swivels for his elbows and double-jointed knees (although the knees make it difficult to properly align the upper and lower portions of his legs). Barricade has no neck joint as the two car hood halves slot into place between the bottom of the head and the plate on which it sits. Barricade does not have any Automorphing gimmick to speak of; in its place is a spring-loaded extending "punching" attack on his left arm.

: As with almost all Transformers toys issued over the last few years, a few of his transformation quirks are undocumented; in robot mode front wheel panels on his shoulders are ball-jointed, allowing one to position them in a manner similar to what is seen in the movie renders. Additionally, the sections that become his claws (apart from the thumb hinge) can swing up slightly to make themselves more pronounced, and spikes on the top of his feet can be swung up.
*First Encounter (Screen Battles, 2007)
**Japanese ID number: SB-01
**Accessories: Sam Witwicky figure, Mikaela figure and Frenzy figure

: This Screen Battles pack features a largely unchanged Deluxe class Barricade figure. The only real difference is the Frenzy mini-figure, which is now cast entirely in black plastic, sports no paint applications and is supposed to be stuck permanently inside Barricade's chest thanks to a new, additional piece of plastic (as a matter of fact, the Frenzy figure is also neither advertised on the packaging nor depicted in the instructions).

:This only applies to the Hasbro version, however—TakaraTomy's Japanese release of the pack features a Barricade that is identical to the single pack version, including an easily removable Frenzy figurine cast in grey plastic with painted red eyes.

:The pack also comes with non-posable figurines of Sam Witwicky in a running pose, Frenzy menacing Sam and Mikaela holding the power saw she uses to attack Frenzy. The set is packaged in a special window box with a diorama depicting the battle between Barricade and Bumblebee.

:According to details listed in an official checklist on Hasbro's website, this pack was originally supposed to feature Sam with a bike, and Mikaela with a Scooter.
*All Spark-Enhanced Barricade (Target Exclusive Deluxe, 2007)
**Accessories: Frenzy mini-figure

: This Target exclusive features the Deluxe Class Barricade in unique cylindrical packaging, with the only difference from his standard release being that key robot mode parts are highlighted by the 'All Spark Blue' color for no other reason than to sell toys. Interestingly, in what can only be explained as an "answer" to Recon Barricade's blue Frenzy, this release's Frenzy is cast in red plastic with a minor black color application to the chest area, making him now resemble Rumble. Thanks to Hasbro, the debate continues...
*Barricade (Deluxe Class "Premium Series", 2008)
**Accessories: Frenzy mini-figure

: This version of Deluxe Barricade features a slightly more movie-accurate deco, with additional "911" markings that were missing on earlier releases. However, confusingly his windows have a frosted paint deco applied to them for no apparent reason, other than to make the toy look 'different'.

:Unlike some earlier "Premium Series" toys, Barricade was available at general retail.

* Blade Shield Barricade (Fast Action Battler, 2007)

: Fast Action Battlers Barricade is similar to the regular Deluxe class toy. However, the details are simplified, and the proportions in both vehicle mode and robot mode are less realistic, generally skewed towards are more stylised and exaggerated appearance. Instead of the punching hand gimmick seen on the Deluxe class toy, FAB Barricade's left arm features a flip out arm extension with a shield made out of blades based on his spinning blades from the Movie.
* Barricade (Cyber Slammers, 2007)

:Cyber Slammers Barricade is an amazingly cute Saleen S281 police car that transforms into an amazingly cute treacherous Decepticon pretending to be a cop. 'Slam' his robot mode down into car mode and he rolls along for a while, then pops back up into robot mode. Like most Cyber Slammers, Barricade manages to cram most of his vehicle mode's major details into a compact, super-deformed version of that mode.

*Patrol Barricade (Cyber Slammers, 2008)

: This adorable, pudgy version of Barricade's car mode zips forward with a little motor. The robot mode Patrol Barricade pops up after a little while, rolling along. So cute! The colors are similar to Recon Barricade, but oddly enough, the scheme is different, and the markings are for a sheriff's car.

Robot Replicas
* Barricade (Robot Replica, 2007)

: A non-transforming action figure, Robot Replicas Barricade hews much closer to the CGI model of the character (albeit wrong paint job). With joints similar to the Revoltech series, he is also more posable than his transforming counterpart, plus features replacement arms that feature his "blender-blade tires" alternate hands briefly seen in the movie.

:Barricade's shoulders/upper arms and shins (including the feet) are incorrectly assembled as compared to the CG design used for the movie. This can easily be fixed due to the interchangability of the Robot Replica limbs. (Although the CG design raises the question how exactly his transformation in the movie is supposed to work. The markings on the arms are located on opposite sides of the body as compared to the vehicle mode.)

Micro IR Transformers Cars
* Barricade (2007)

: Made under license by RadioShack. Three-function infrared remote, in Barricade's signature colors, gives you control of the car with forward and reverse turn movement. More than just a vehicle styled after the Movie character, the car also transforms to robot mode. The transformation is very reminiscent of the Generation 2 Gobots, but the toy is an entirely new mould.

:The top of the gun-shaped IR remote serves as a storage point for Barricade, but the remote can't stand freely so it's nearly useless for display. The tip of the gun's barrel can also be unscrewed to reveal a ballpoint pen, which... wait... what? It's actually just a pen cartridge which sorta hangs freely and is difficult to use for writing, because you have to hold it and support the entire gun's weight while you do.

:Each of the Micro IR toys comes with a generic instructions sheet printed in black and white and showing the transformation for all three toys.
He has the vehicle mode tool arms he used to threaten Sam Witwicky in the first movie, which take the place of Frenzy from the first toy. Surprisingly, his deco seems to be exactly the same as the original toy, ignoring the Premium Series update.

: The Blackout and Barricade turnaround is a 3D sculpture of the two characters in both robot mode emerging from rubble and explosions, with a movie-accurate sculpt (compared to the various transforming toys.) The 'turnaround' aspect of these sculptures simply means one can turn the piece around to display a raised-relief of the movie-style Decepticon sigil instead.

:This Robot Heroes pack features Barricade in a running/attacking pose, and Optimus Prime posed as he was in the Movie as he awaited Bonecrusher's attack. This version of Barricade only has articulation at the shoulders, and oddly enough has his shoulder pylons attached to his torso, as opposed to his arms.
Second Life avatars
There is a full replica of the Sector Seven base which contains a giant discussion room where Michael Bay held a question board in Second Life. This room contains a giant frozen Megatron replica and free avatars of both Bumblebee and Barricade. Both freebees are non-transforming. However, some sellers have created a transforming version.

Trivia
* Barricade's disappearance from the film is puzzling. It appears he was originally meant to be destroyed, as both the novel and comic adaptations of the movie depict his destruction by Optimus Prime, who had both destroyed Bonecrusher and was delayed in joining the humans and fellow Autobots. (Alternatively the children's chapter book adaptation of the film The Transformers Quest for the Allspark describes Barricade as being destroyed by the US military.) Regardless, in the movie proper, Barricade simply does not appear again after Bonecrusher transforms. The Revenge of the Fallen prequel comic state he survived, but at the time, his fate caused a great deal of speculation.

*Writer Roberto Orci stated in a message board Q&A session that Barricade's disappearance from the remainder of the film is a "thread for Movie 2". Two years later, he stated that he honestly couldn't remember the reason why Barricade didn't show up in Revenge of the Fallen, even though it was considered having him return.

* An early version of the script featured Barricade and Frenzy as one and the same character, named "Soundwave". He would have infiltrated the CIA headquarters (rather than Air Force One) in the form of a "portable stereo" and then transformed (and size-shifted) into a Humvee for his escape.

*Prowl was originally part of the Autobot line up for the movie, but was removed, as the writers loved the perverse idea of Barricade becoming a police car. This represents quite a step within any/all Transformers continuities, as a Decepticon has never before taken on a form (most) humans could so easily "trust", in a sense. Sorry, Prowl, better luck next time.

*An early working name for Barricade was "Brawl", which was later given to another movie character (but not in the movie itself).

* Early concept art for Barricade also suggests that he was originally going to transform into a white and black Crown Victoria (somewhat akin to Prowl's original G1 color scheme). Hasbro, continuing to capitalize on unused concepts/ideas, had Recon Barricade's redeco vaguely mirror the Vic's deco.

* During the rather truncated chase scene between Barricade and Bumblebee in the 2007 movie, Barricade was to deploy some serrated drill-like missiles from his hood and fire them at the fleeing Autobot. Though these weapons were constructed and fitted to one of the Barricade prop vehicles, this scene was ultimately cut, explaining the abrupt shift to night time at the conclusion of the chase. As of writing, the only remaining official proof of the existence of these weapons is page 12 of IDW Publishing's Movie Adaptation issue 2 and the RadioShack XMODS® Evolution Barricade radio control car's weapons and light uppgrade kit.

* The promotional Saleen S281E cars that appeared at events and premieres featured the slogan "Power in the hands of a few" rather than the "To punish and enslave" motto, as well as Saleen decals rather than the Decepticon decals seen in the movie. Hmmm...

* The IDW Prime Directive Prequel seems to contradict the very existence of his alternate mode, since the Decepticons were depicted as having come to Earth in 2003, yet his alternate mode is a 2006 model car. However, a little-known fact is that the Mustang design that would eventually be the 2006 model debuted sometime in 2003, with police car modifications showing up in car shows not long after. It could very well be that, similar to when/how Jazz scanned a Solstice in a dealership late at night, Barricade scanned a Police Mustang in one such car show display after-hours, explaining why there were "no witnesses" after he assumed this form and why his police deco has no state or city markings/I.D.

*In an act of both love for his child and extreme fanwank, Jessie Vigil from New Mexico turned his own Ford Mustang into a homage of Barricade's alt-mode, right down to Decepticon symbol and the sinister twist on the LAPD motto. Though this has brought the ire of the New Mexico police upon him, let's just concentrate on the fact of how insanely cool this is. His kid is one lucky Transformers fan.

*A common misconception among fans is that Barricade's Saleen Mustang alternate mode was spotted on the set of Revenge of the Fallen. This is not true. In fact, a truck transporting three "Barricade" prop vehicles was spotted in Culver City, California, in March 2008, more than two months before principal shooting for Revenge of the Fallen started.
* Still NO-ONE knows where this guy is.... well, for an undercover spy he's good at his job!
The Xbox 360/Sony Playstation 3/Windows PC versions of Revenge of the Fallen: The Game follows a number of Autobots and Decepticons through a loose approximation of the movie's plot. The game has two campaigns, one for each faction. It is the first Transformers game on a console to feature online play.
*Throughout the North American levels, there are billboards for films such as The Atoll, Tough Guyz, Earth's End, and The Stone.

*For destroying 250 Decepticons in the Autobot campaign, you earn the Awesome Achievement/Trophy.

*For destroying 350 Autobots in the Decepticon campaign, you earn the Bad Boys Achievement/Trophy.

*Six episodes of the Generation 1 cartoon can be unlocked in the course of the game: S.O.S. Dinobots, Fire on the Mountain, War of the Dinobots, and The Ultimate Doom, Parts 1, 2, and 3.

*G1-style colour schemes for Ironhide and Starscream can be unlocked for both single and multiplayer modes. Additionally, a yellow colour scheme can be unlocked for Long Haul, making him more closely resemble a conventional (or Tonka) dump truck.

*As in the previous games, Frank Welker returns as Megatron. He does not, however, voice any of the characters (Soundwave, Grindor, and Devastator) he did in the movie.

Differences between the Game and Movie
* Breakaway did not appear in the movie.
* In the movie, Bumblebee is still having troubles with his speech. In the game, he has completely regained his speech.
* Jetfire's death is altered. In the movie, he commits suicide and gives his parts to Optimus. In the games, he is either stabbed by Megatron before giving his parts to Optimus (Autobot campaign) or killed by the player (Decepticon campaign).
* In the movie, Sideways is killed by Sideswipe. In the Autobot campaign, he is killed by Ironhide (or whoever the player is), since Sideswipe is absent in this game.
* In the movie, Devastator is killed at the pyramids. In the game, he is killed in Cairo.
* The Autobots did not supply the humans with a weapon to battle the Decepticons in the movie.
