Megatron himself took a personal hand in the torture of Bumblebee, attempting to force him to reveal the All Spark's location, but his efforts went in vain, and the All Spark was blasted into space to put it beyond Megatron's reach. In response, Megatron crushed Bumblebee's voice box and began to follow the All Spark to Earth.

The All Spark was found in 1913, 16 years after the [[N.B.E.]]-01 "[[Megatron (Movie)|Iceman]]" was found. The [[Cybertronian languages|glyphs]] on the cube were similar to the ones on the Iceman, indicating a link between the two. In order to hide the cube's energy signature from other humans and, potentially, from other N.B.E.s, the [[President of the United States|President]] had the [[Hoover Dam]] built around it. The Iceman was also moved to the dam for further study. It was eventually determined that the cube emitted [[Energon|a type of radiation]]<ref>Identified as Energon in [[Transformers: The Game]]</ref> which could [[Real Gear Robot|bring mechanical devices to life]].

Years later, when Megatron eventually came back online due to the intervention of his soldiers, [[Samuel James Witwicky|Sam Witwicky]] convinced Sector Seven (with the help of Captain [[William Lennox]]'s men) to release Bumblebee, explaining he could help. [[Bumblebee]] interacted with the cube and prompted it to collapse from an enormous monolith into a object less than half a meter across, and accordingly lesser in mass as well as volume. Bumblebee and a military escort, soon joined by the [[Autobot]]s, took the Cube to [[Mission City]], where Sam ran through the city avoiding the Decepticons. During the battle between Optimus Prime and Megatron, the Autobot leader told Sam to merge the Cube with his [[spark]]. However, Sam instead merged it with Megatron's spark, destroying both Megatron and the All Spark. Gazing at his dead brother for one last time, Optimus fished a fragment of the All Spark out of Megatron's chest.

Without a means to restore their homeworld, the Autobots elected to remain on Earth, and Prime sent a message to inform the surviving Autobots of their new found home.

*The movie's All Spark was derived from hybridizing the concepts of [[Vector Sigma]] and the [[Matrix of Leadership]], but the term "Matrix" was off limits because of the movie of the same name, and it's a big cube because, in the original screenplay, it was going to be called the "[[Energon cube|Energon Cube]]" instead. Optimus Prime's description in the movie intro would suggest it also bears similarities to a [[Cyber Planet Key]] from Transformers Cybertron. A skittering little spaz, Frenzy smuggled himself aboard [[Air Force One]] disguised as a CD player boom-box. He made his way to the lower decks, carried by an [[Air Force One attendant|unsuspecting flight attendant]] who was on a vital mission to the storage area to "rustle up some Ding-Dongs" for the [[President of the United States#Transformers (2007)|President]]. Once left alone, he got into the server area, and began to simultaneously hack the national database and upload a virus, re-attempting the hack that [[Blackout (Movie)|Blackout]] had tried at the [[SOCCENT Base]] in [[Qatar]] earlier. This attempt was discovered by government agent [[Maggie Madsen]], and the defense network was shut down in order to halt the hack. Frenzy was pissed, but he got the virus uploaded, which would later shut down global communications, and got a little bit of info on what he was looking for.

He was discovered by Secret Service agents, who he quickly dispatched with his machineguns and disc-blade launcher before hiding away in boombox form again. When Air Force One landed, he escaped through the landing gear, slipping into the awaiting Decepticon [[Barricade (Movie)|Barricade]]. After flipping the military the bird and complaining about how the "insects" shot at him, he informed Barricade of his new discovery: a man called [[Archibald Witwicky]] who had suspiciously displayed knowledge of Cybetronian writing. After a quick web-search using Barricade's on-board police department laptop, Frenzy determined their next target... a human called "[[Sam Witwicky|LadiesMan217]]".

When Barricade was forced to go to robot mode in order to handle [[Bumblebee (Movie)|Bumblebee]], he released Frenzy to chase the humans the [[Autobot]] was guarding. Frenzy managed to tackle his primary target and even managed to get his pants off him (kinky!), but [[Mikaela Banes|the other human]] attacked him with a power saw she'd found and cut his head off. To add insult to injury, Sam punted the Decepticon's head away. It was actually to Frenzy's benefit, however, as he landed not too far from Mikaela's purse, which had spilled when Bumblebee had dumped them out earlier. Still alive and ambulatory despite losing most of his body mass, he speared and scanned Mikaela's cell phone, changed his form to match it, and hid out in her purse.

Frenzy stayed hidden, watching the activities of the humans and Autobots until they were taken to [[Hoover Dam]]. Frenzy slipped away then... and fell off the side of the dam, landing painfully at the bottom. This did allow him to sneak into the secret [[Sector Seven]] operations hangar deep within the dam, where both the [[AllSpark]] and [[Megatron (Movie)|Megatron]] had been kept for nearly a hundred years. He tapped into the AllSpark's power to restore his body, and sent a signal to [[Starscream (Movie)|Starscream]], telling him that their prizes were here. As Starscream mobilized all the Decepticons on [[Earth]], Frenzy went and killed a few technicians, letting him screw with the cryo-stasis machines that kept Megatron entombed, while Starscream destroyed the powerlines outside, allowing the Decepticon leader to escape.

When [[Reggie Simmons|Agent Simmons]], [[John Keller|Secretary Keller]], Maggie and [[Glen Whitmann]] ran to an ancient storage room to try and get a Morse Code message to the Air Force via shortwave radio, Frenzy followed. While Glen jury-rigged outdated machinery to send the messages, Simmons and Keller tried to shoot the diminutive Decepticon. Frenzy made it into the room via the air ducts, and sent a series of flying blades at the humans. One, however, ricocheted madly across the room, and took out most of Frenzy's head. With a muttered "oh shit", Frenzy collapsed.

Megatron followed the All Spark to [[Earth]], where he successfully crash-landed in the Arctic Circle and was frozen solid for thousands of years. In 1897, some 100 Earth-years before the arrival of the other Transformers, he was discovered by an explorer named [[Archibald Amundsen Witwicky]]. Captain Witwicky accidentally activated Megatron's navigation system and caused the coordinates of the All Spark to be etched onto the explorer's glasses. Megatron remained imprisoned in the Arctic, until the 1930s, when he was dug out by the United States government and moved to a secret [[Sector Seven]] stronghold inside [[Hoover Dam]].

In the present day, having searched the galaxy for the All Spark and being drawn to Earth, the remaining Decepticons learn of Witwicky's glasses. Through the Internet, they determined the location of both Megatron and the All Spark inside Hoover Dam. [[Frenzy (Movie)|Frenzy]] infiltrated the dam and shut down the power systems, while Starscream attacked the external powerlines, resulting in Megatron's thawing out. Once again online, Megatron declared his name (to clear up all that N.B.E.-01/Ice Man nonsense) before jetting off after the All Spark again. Meeting up with Starscream, and berrated him for his failure to secure the All Spark.

Upon arriving in [[Mission City]], he killed [[Jazz (Movie)|Jazz]] by tearing him in half, then ordered the Decepticons to engage. At that moment, Optimus Prime appeared and challenged Megatron. Millennia in the ice had done nothing to lessen the animosity between the two, and Megatron declared that if Prime wished to defend the Humans, he would "join them in extinction". After temporarily dispatching Prime with his cannon, Megatron persued [[Samuel James Witwicky|a particular human]] who removed the All Spark from the dam. Unfortunately, this human was saved by Optimus Prime. Prime declared that their war would end here, and the two brothers engaged in a vicious battle. Megatron was the stronger warrior, but humans fired at Megatron, causing his armor to crack. Prime ordered Sam to ram the All Spark into his chest, but the human rammed the All Spark into Megatron's chest instead, through a wound [[William Lennox|Captain Lennox]] had just created with a sabot round, extinguishing his [[spark]]. As Prime stood over his brother's lifeless shell, he somberly, yet remorsefully, remarked that Megatron had left him no choice.

: Leader class ''Movie'' Megatron transforms into a silver Cybertronic assault jet. He is quite accurate to the CGI design... except for the giant mass of legs attempting (but failing) to hide under the wings.

: In robot mode, Megatron's sculpt is quite accurate, or as accurate as a toy based on his CG design can be. However, his paint decoration is quite inaccurate, with blue highlights on various parts of his body, possibly to allude to his pre-frozen state and to give a relatively monochromatic figure more color. More confusing is his jet black face, which obscures the sculpt's details and is inaccurate to the movie appearance's gunmetal.

: Megatron's right fist disconnects at the wrist to become the spiked end of the extendable "chain whip" weapon concealed within his forearm (perhaps in homage to [[Megatron (G1)|G1 Megatron]]'s own flail weapon); pressing the black switch on the arm pulls the chain taut for a whipping attack. His arms also link together at the wrists to form a "fusion cannon," with the pod on his left forearm concealing the weapon's [[Automorph]]ing twin barrels, exposed by pulling a switch. This had the unfortunate effect of making his sculpted details meld together and looking less like a killer robot and more like a melted clay man. The toy also comes with a purple plastic decepticon base and and a lenticular motion card with a surprising amount of frames of animation. These two pieces may in fact be the better part of the package.

A skittering little spaz, Frenzy smuggled himself aboard [[Air Force One]] disguised as a CD player boom-box. He made his way to the lower decks, carried by an [[Air Force One attendant|unsuspecting flight attendant]] who was on a vital mission to the storage area to "rustle up some Ding-Dongs" for the [[President of the United States#Transformers (2007)|President]]. Once left alone, he got into the server area, and began to simultaneously hack the national database and upload a virus, re-attempting the hack that [[Blackout (Movie)|Blackout]] had tried at the [[SOCCENT Base]] in [[Qatar]] earlier. This attempt was discovered by government agent [[Maggie Madsen]], and the defense network was shut down in order to halt the hack. Frenzy was pissed, but he got the virus uploaded, which would later shut down global communications, and got a little bit of info on what he was looking for.

He was discovered by Secret Service agents, who he quickly dispatched with his machineguns and disc-blade launcher before hiding away in boombox form again. When Air Force One landed, he escaped through the landing gear, slipping into the awaiting Decepticon [[Barricade (Movie)|Barricade]]. After flipping the military the bird and complaining about how the "insects" shot at him, he informed Barricade of his new discovery: a man called [[Archibald Witwicky]] who had suspiciously displayed knowledge of Cybetronian writing. After a quick web-search using Barricade's on-board police department laptop, Frenzy determined their next target... a human called "[[Sam Witwicky|LadiesMan217]]".

When Barricade was forced to go to robot mode in order to handle [[Bumblebee (Movie)|Bumblebee]], he released Frenzy to chase the humans the [[Autobot]] was guarding. Frenzy managed to tackle his primary target and even managed to get his pants off him (kinky!), but [[Mikaela Banes|the other human]] attacked him with a power saw she'd found and cut his head off. To add insult to injury, Sam punted the Decepticon's head away. It was actually to Frenzy's benefit, however, as he landed not too far from Mikaela's purse, which had spilled when Bumblebee had dumped them out earlier. Still alive and ambulatory despite losing most of his body mass, he speared and scanned Mikaela's cell phone, changed his form to match it, and hid out in her purse.

Frenzy stayed hidden, watching the activities of the humans and Autobots until they were taken to [[Hoover Dam]]. Frenzy slipped away then... and fell off the side of the dam, landing painfully at the bottom. This did allow him to sneak into the secret [[Sector Seven]] operations hangar deep within the dam, where both the [[AllSpark]] and [[Megatron (Movie)|Megatron]] had been kept for nearly a hundred years. He tapped into the AllSpark's power to restore his body, and sent a signal to [[Starscream (Movie)|Starscream]], telling him that their prizes were here. As Starscream mobilized all the Decepticons on [[Earth]], Frenzy went and killed a few technicians, letting him screw with the cryo-stasis machines that kept Megatron entombed, while Starscream destroyed the powerlines outside, allowing the Decepticon leader to escape.

When [[Reggie Simmons|Agent Simmons]], [[John Keller|Secretary Keller]], Maggie and [[Glen Whitmann]] ran to an ancient storage room to try and get a Morse Code message to the Air Force via shortwave radio, Frenzy followed. While Glen jury-rigged outdated machinery to send the messages, Simmons and Keller tried to shoot the diminutive Decepticon. Frenzy made it into the room via the air ducts, and sent a series of flying blades at the humans. One, however, ricocheted madly across the room, and took out most of Frenzy's head. With a muttered "oh shit", Frenzy collapsed.

Sam and his friend [[Mikaela Banes|Mikaela]], who had been drawn into the encounter, managed to escape him when Bumblebee convinced Sam to trust him, and Barricade pursued both the Autobot and two humans to a junkyard. He engaged Bumblebee in battle, dispatching Frenzy to chase down the humans. However, his battle with Bumblebee ended with Barricade heavily damaged.

Evidently, though, he recovered, and was back to working order when Frenzy (who had survived and infiltrated Sector Seven) transmitted both Megatron and the Allspark's location to his fellow Decepticons. When the humans fled with the Allspark, Barricade joined in the pursuit along with [[Brawl (Movie)|Brawl]] and [[Bonecrusher (Movie)|Bonecrusher]]. Sam recognized him, and warned that they were in danger.

Barricade's disappearance from the film is puzzling. It appears he was originally meant to be destroyed, as both the novel and comic adaptations of the movie depict his destruction by [[Optimus Prime (Movie)|Optimus Prime]], who had both destroyed Bonecrusher and was delayed in joining the humans and fellow Autobots. (Alternatively the children's chapter book adaption of the film [[The Transformers Quest for the Matrix]] describes Barricade as being destroyed by the US military.) Regardless in the movie proper Barricade simply does not appear again after Bonecrusher transforms. Since his remains are not seen among the Decepticon parts being buried at sea, it is possible he survived.
