However, having just learned of this fanmode and tried it out for myself, I'm not sure why: I can verify that yes, it is entirely possible to create that "bat" without trimming even an iota of plastic from the landing gear; they might not stick out ''quite'' as far as SMOG's customized bits do, but the bat will stand on its own little "feet" and hang upside down, just like in the photos.
