:Drench is a Decepticon Stormtrooper from the Generation 1 continuity family.

Drench is the kind of bot that will steal a Mini-spy's energon credits, or tie a firecracker to a glitch mouse's tail. (To be fair, the pea-brained Go-Bot was just asking for that last one.) He's not so pleasant, though, when he's in a bad mood. Cross him, he'll take a terrible revenge.

Fortunately, this mean-spirited, foul-tempered bully is not very brave. Oh, he's certainly willing to blast limbs off Empties with his high-pressure fluid cannon, but if their friends show up to help, Drench is sure to change to his speedy vehicle mode and flee back to his safe desk job, where he can push his subordinates around with impunity, as the short-tempered tyrant of the Decepticon coordination department.

Everyone hates him and, this being the Decepticons, it's likely he would've "accidentally" tripped into the Smelting Pool if not for one thing—he can coordinate units of Decepticons with incredible efficiency. He's an indispensable part of the Decepticon war machine, meaning you'll have to lump it when he sticks your head down the bog.

Were this office bully to meet the youthful Autobot nerd who shares his name, the results would be familiar to anybody with school experience. Most likely they'd involve a waste-disposal unit.

The Stormtroopers were part of Bludgeon's forces dispatched on Earth to basically wreck stuff until Optimus Prime came to stop them. When Megatron appeared to take back leadership of the Decepticons, the Stormtroopers were called in to attack Megatron. Drench questioned if they should, since Megatron was a former Decepticon leader and all, but apparently that doesn't hold much water (ha ha), so they blasted him anyway. War Zone

Wings Universe
Nine million years ago, Drench served as second-in-command of the Stormtroopers under Rage. A group of miscreants ostensibly operating under the Decepticon banner of rebellion, they were really little more than petty thugs and thieves looking to draw the attention of the real Decepticons and move up in the world. Drench took his position to heart, adopting a strict military formality which was a source of endless amusement for Rage.

Drench and the Stormtroopers had had encounters with the Elite Guard in the past during their criminal enterprises. Drench nearly got the drop on the Alpha Team's leader Thunder Clash before Landshark tore him to shreds. He barely made it back to home base in large enough pieces for Hydradread to properly reassemble and repair.

As tactical coordinator, Drench arranged for Terror-Tread and Cement-Head to take their places for the raid on Median. Rage was hoping to acquire an object of unspeakable power and worth called the Heart of the Dragon. Their invasion was complicated by the arrival of two Elite Guard teams, but continued nevertheless. Drench and Hydradread kept the majority of the Elite Guard occupied while Rage and Aquablast snuck past the defenses to steal the Heart. Aquablast didn't make it out, but otherwise Terror-Tread and Cement-Head were properly placed to cover the escape of Drench and the other Stormtroopers.

Back at the Metrotitan, Drench started to have serious reservations about his commander's plots. The Heart of the Dragon turned out to be a living laser core, capable of empowering any exo-frame with significant power and resurrecting the "dragon" named Brimstone. Drench questioned the logic of bringing such a powerful creature to life in a micro-frame, much less installing the laser core in the Metrotitan itself as Rage ultimately planned to do. Power for power's sake was not what Drench had in mind when he joined the Stormtroopers, and so he made a discreet exit to go and assist the Elite Guardsmen who were on the run from Brimstone. Drench alerted the Elite Guardsmen that Brimstone's power was unstable...volatilely unstable. His warning came just in time for them to all escape the Metrotitan before Brimstone exploded from within.

At Elite Guard headquarters, Drench complied fully with the Autobots' debriefing, and even provided a sample of Hydradread's liquid weaponry for reverse-engineering. At last record, Drench was undergoing significant retrofitting and paint modification before submitting an application to the Elite Guard himself. Flames of Yesterday

Serving under Turmoil, Drench and Hydradread restrained Deadlock when he got too rebellious and attempted to overthrow their leader. However, as Turmoil prepared to execute the prisoner, Deadlock kicked his cannon aside, causing it to fire on and kill Drench instead. Drift issue 1
He's especially proud of the sounds one of his super-tuned engines makes as it roars to life. A carefully precise mind like his would be a great boon to science, but sadly he's got an extremely bloodthirsty streak, meaning he's mostly dedicated to using his technical knowledge in the field of killing things.

Nine million years ago, Aquablast was a member of Rage's gang of Decepticon Stormtroopers. Taking advantage of the civil instability, the Stormtroopers attempted to grab power and prestige for themselves on the coattails of the Decepticon Warlords. When a Decepticon strike force tore through an Autobot fortress in Glibax, Rage and his team came in after they left and claimed the empty fortress for themselves. An engineer by trade, Aquablast worked with his fellow tinkerer Hydradread to turn the fortress into a mobile battle platform, the Metrotitan.

Sometime later, Aquablast and the Stormtroopers prepped a raid on the deserted outpost, Median, in the hopes of acquiring the long-buried Heart of the Dragon from an archeologist team. Aquablast whipped up a zero-friction accelerator oil for their engines, and the four Stormtroopers rolled into Median after their "hitter", Roadgrabber, made an entrance through the fortifications. After a brief but memorable exchange with the Elite Guard operatives guarding Median, the Stormtroopers split up and fled deeper into the outpost, looking for the urn that contained the Heart. Aquablast and Rage found it, and secured the Heart for departure. They were discovered by Ironfist and Vortex, but Aquablast was able to bring the pair of Autobots down using his chemical cannon.

Before depature, Rage wanted to check and see if the lead archeologist Glyph had any further notes on the Heart they could use. After tracking down the hiding civilians, the Stormtroopers threatened Glyph into turning over her research. When she refused to comply, Aquablast burned a hole through her chest with his cannon and retrieved her datapad anyway. He was about to do the same to Greenlight when the last archeologist, Lancer, shot him through the head first. Aquablast's face was nothing more than a gaping hole after that, and he fell to the ground, dead. Flames of Yesterday

The leader of the Stormtroopers, Rage was very appropriately named. His sole purpose and joy in life is simple: destroy anything that gets in his way. Smash it, dissolve it with his acid spray, run it off a high cliff. There's basically nothing that is safe from his all-consuming fury, including his fellow Decepticons. His nearly-unquenchable lust for carnage, combined with an incredibly sharp mind, plus impressive strength and firepower, all adds up to a Decepticon nobody wants to mess with.

His own subordinates are scared oil-less of him, but know better than to say anything about it within earshot, as that would simply put them in Rage's crosshairs.

Fiction
Fleetway Generation 2 comics
The Stormtroopers were part of Bludgeon's forces dispatched on Earth to basically wreck stuff until Optimus Prime came to stop them. The Stormtroopers converged on a firefight, expecting to battle some Autobots... but instead found Megatron, former Decepticon leader.

Rage called for the squad to attack Megatron, figuring (out loud) that Megatron might have been attacking their boss, Bludgeon. Turns out, he was attacking Optimus, but Bludgeon was next on the list anyway. Aquablast mused to himself that Rage simply wanted to tackle the Megatron himself, Bludgeon be hanged. Rage blasted Megatron in the chest with acid spray, which didn't seem to slow him down much. When Megatron failed to die, Rage called in Sparkstalker and Flamefeather to help out. How he fared in the final outcome of the battle is unknown. War Zone

Wings Universe
Rage was a small-time hustler with big-time dreams when the Decepticon movement began on Cybertron. He managed to gather a small crew of thugs called the Stormtroopers under the Decepticon flag, but never quite managed to reach the level of Decepticon Warlord. His biggest success was salvaging a fortress in the Glibax flats after tougher Decepticons drove out the Autobot defenders. His mechanically-inclined subordinates, Aquablast and Hydradread, reconfigured it into a transforming mobile city called the Metrotitan. Along with Roadgrabber, Terror-Tread, Cement-Head, and his overly enthusiastic second-in-command, Drench, Rage established a small following of "soldiers" willing to profit off of the rebellion however they could.

Operating mostly out of Quarex, Rage uncovered information about a new archeological find in Median, and a specific urn containing an immensely powerful spark known as the Heart of the Dragon. Seeking to acquire it for himself, Rage sent his men to scout the area. Unfortunately, they were spotted, and soon two units from the Autobot Elite Guard were dispatched to the dig site to stand between Rage and his prize. Despite the opposition, Rage stole the Heart right from under the Elite Guard's noses, and only lost two (ultimately replaceable) soldiers in the process.

Back at the Metrotitan, Rage set Hydradread to work prepping the personality component in the Heart for introduction into a working mechanoid body. His ultimate goal was to install the Heart in Metrotitan itself, creating a colossal warrior of unprecedented size and strength. Still, Rage decided to install it in a micro-sized body first, to see if the creature could be controlled. While Hydradread was working, Rage unleashed one of his experiments, Buffalo Dump and the Minotorons, to distract the Elite Guard until the work was complete. Hydradread successfully introduced the Heart into a living body, the micro-sized dragon called Brimstone, but its matter-consuming energy breath proved too powerful for the tiny body to contain. The Elite Guard barely made it safety as Brimstone ruptured from within, but Rage was apparently caught in the unbelievable explosion that followed, consuming the entire Metrotitan. Flames of Yesterday
