Heavy Units are by far the largest of the ground-based Decepticlones, rivalled only by the Spider Tank in sheer size. A single Heay Unit is a difficult foe to deal with (especially when accompanied by other Decepticlones) but multiple units are a proverbial nightmare. They are best handled behind some very good cover and picked off by targeting their heads.
Light Units (also referred to as "Fodder Units" and "Foddercons" by fans) are the most common "foot soldier" variety of Decepticlone in the early levels of the game. Light Units are the weakest humanoid-shaped type with minimal armour and firepower, they also possess only rudimentary intelligence and combat skill. Although small in both size and threat, Light Units are somewhat effective in groups, but only when a Medium or Command Unit is present to give orders. Should their squad leader be destroyed, Light Units have a tendency to panic. Their reaction time is very poor, not noticing approaching Autobot vehicles until they are right ontop of them.

Light Units' only weapon is a small laser-blaster in place of their right hand. This weapon is somewhat ineffective. However, once a target is spotted, Light Units will not waver from attacking. This means that, if ignored, a Light Unit can chip away at an Autobot's health bar considerably. If a Light Unit tries to engage in melee combat with an Autobot, they are easily batted away.

Medium Units are described as the workhorses of the Decepticlone army. They are stronger and more intelligent than the Light Unit model of Decepticlone. Medium Units display far better combat skill than Light Units, able to perform a variety of attacks such as strafing a target, effectively dodging oncoming shots and firing from behind cover. Medium Units can sneak up behind an Autobot and attack them, or even stage ambushes when in fair numbers. They also have a tendency to send a runner for re-inforcements when an Autobot is destroying their number count. Oddly, when Medium Units are hit with Limpet Mines, they may start running around in a panic (occasionally destroying other clones by running into them) whereas Light Uints simply maintain their position.

In eariler levels, Medium Units serve as commanders for the Light Units. Later in the game, once they become the standard level of enemy, they are commanded by the adequetly named Command Units. Medium Units are also capable of manning the stationary Turrets used to guard certain areas. They may also become disoriented if the Command Unit they were following is destroyed.

Some Medium Units even come equipped with deflector shields, though they do not have enough power to maintain these shields under heavy fire (these units are reffered to as "Jackal Units" by fans due to the similarity of their shields to those used by the Jackals from Halo). They may also have a stock of grenades they can lob at their targets. This model of Medium Unit is differentiated from the more common type by its red armour, they often face an enemy threat by forming a defensive line with their shields; both for themselves and other units behind them.

Jet Snipers make up the bulk of the Decepticlone army's aerial force. They tend to patrol in squads of three, circling wide areas in search of Autobots, though occasionally there will be lone scouts or packs as large as six. Once they find their targets, they stop and hover in midair to release blasts of laser fire, plus the occasional railgun shot. They are highly susceptible to flak cannon fire (provided by the Mini-con Airburst), which knocks them out of the air into an uncontrolled crash. They rarely survive impact with the ground. Jet Snipers attack by circling a target and attacking from all sides, then dodging when their victim attempts to retaliate.

Lightning Rod
Though identical in physical design to the Jet Snipers, Lightning Rod Decepticlones lie in wait on the ground, or on rocky outcrops, sighting along red laser beams. Anything that crosses these beams is quickly fired upon, and sends any nearby Lightning Rods into the air to follow up on the attack. However, they tend to focus exclusively on their laser sight; a crafty Autobot can slip past the beams without much difficulty, leaving the unmoving Laser extremely vulnerable to attack. This is easier said then done, as Lightning Rods will flee their post and reposition themselves if they hear an Autobot closing in on them.
Spider Tanks are the all-terrain combat units of the Decepticlone army. Large quadruped assault units, Spider Tanks can traverse uneven terrain easier than most other Decepticlones, though they aren't terribly fast. They don't really need to be, however, as their legs are equipped with blaster-deflecting armor panels, making hitting their vulnerable main body difficult.

Spider Tanks are capable of spotting a target from far greater distances than normal Decepticlones, often sighting an Autobot before the intended target is aware a Spider Tank is nearby. Spider Tanks are also capable of picking off said targets with remarkable ease, even when they are running at top speed. Their attacks can be avoided (barely) by staying close and running around them in circles, preventing them from getting a hit with their standard shots; Spider Tanks will not try to use their charge-shot when under these conditions.

Spider Tanks typically spray rapid laser fire bursts at their targets, followed with a charged-up powerful single shot that can send even a large Autobot flying backwards out of control. Although they do not possess eight legs, the moniker "Spider" Tank is still valid due to the way in which it moves. Being as heavy as they are, Spider Tanks are not affected by Autobots ramming into them in vehicle mode.
Sentry Drones are a type of Decepticlone from the Transformers (PS2) video game.

Sentry Drones have very little combat ability, but they're not really meant for combat. They are deployed into the field, typically in mazelike areas with low visibility, to watch out for invading Autobots. Once they spot an intruder, they launch a flare high into the sky, signalling nearby Decepticlone units to come in and take care of the problem, usually in the form of a Dropship. As such, Sentry Drones are best taken out from afar, or with a surprise attack at close-range; firing on a Sentry Drone and missing will still cause it to launch its signal flare. Sentry Drones remain static, though only for a few seconds, as they prepare to fire their flare; they can still be taken out during this time.

Sentry Drones tend to run once they've released their signal flare. If cornered, they have a light laser blaster to keep their persuers occupied. They cannot fly at high altitudes, so their escape options are fairly limited.
Dropships are a type of Decepticlone from the Transformers (PS2) video game.

Decepticlone Dropships are the standard form of transportation for Decepticlone forces throughout the Transformers PS2 game, they are heavily armoured and thus resistant to most basic forms of weaponry. However, a Dropship can be brought down with either concentrated firepower or considerable force. Dropships have no offensive capabilities of their own, and arguable have no artificial intelligence to speak of; it seems more likely that a Decepticlone pilot (possibly a Light Unit or Medium Unit) is at the helm. Dropships are used to combat the Autobots by deploying squads of varying Decepticlones into the combat zone. Some Decepticlones may remain in the Dropship after the deplyment, in which case the Dropship will hover above the ground and allow the remaining Decepticlones to attack from the air. Under these circumstances, Dropships will always pull out if they sustain too much damage, or if the Decepticlones onboard are destroyed.

The presence of a Dropship always indicates an organised Decepticon/Decepticlone occupation in the area; their most basic function is to simply patrol a set path in the level. However, if an Autobot comes within its sensor range, the dropship may change course to intercept, and release its cargo of Decepticlone troops. Destroying the Dropship destroys all of the Decepticlones it may contain and also yields a fair amount of Energon.

Since the Dropships do not attack by themselves, they can be used by Autobots as transport around the level, should they somehow manage to get high enough to leap onto their upper decks. A Dropship is capable of carrying a Heavy Unit, a squad of Rollarm Units or a Spider Tank clamped into the external cargo mount between its thruster vanes.
They are remarakbly agile despite their size, using the terrain to bounce off vertical surfaces and dodge attacks while closing the gap on their targets. Guerilla Units are experts at melee combat, able to fend off even the likes of Optimus Prime with the greatest of ease. Whilst Guerilla Units do not possess any firearms, they are armed with EMP grenades that temporarily interrupt the power flow of Autobot weapons and can even briefly cancel out energies from a Mini-Con Powerlinx, leaving their victims little choice but to engage them in melee combat or attempt to flee. The EMP's have remarkable range, seemingly able to hit a target from almost any line-of-sight distance; even is the EMP charge missed, chances are it will explode on a nearby obstacle or piece of terrain and detonate anyway.

Guerilla Units are equipped with stealth shielding similar to the type employed by some Command Units, rendering them almost invisible to common visual sensors. This shield does not prevent them from showing up on other sensor ranges, however. Whilst Guerilla Units are all but untouchable when it comes to melee combat, they can sometimes leave themselves open to a ram attack by an Autobot in vehicle mode; such attacks can dispatch them fairly well.

Rollarm Units are a type of Decepticlone from the Transformers (PS2) video game.

The only Decepticlone type capable of transformation, Rollarm Units curl up into armoured spheres to cover large stretches of ground in a short amount of time. Their treaded wheel-surfaces deflect energy blasts with ease, making tackling them tricky. They are first encountered by the Autobots in Alaska, where, despite their bright colourschemes, they are difficult to spot. Squads of Rollarm Units can be detached from Dropships (whilst in their wheel modes) when in mid-flight, allowing for fast and rapid deployment.

A single Rollarm Unit can be a dangerous foe, both due to their resilience and their strong firepower; Rollarm Units attack by spraying out a large volley of laser blasts that can eat up both a shield Mini-Con attachment and an Autobots health in an alarmingly short amount of time.
