: Megatron is a Decepticon from the Unicron Trilogy continuity family. When in his powered-up forms, is known as Galvatron.
Megatron is not content with conquest of Cybertron. When he learns of some power greater than his own, he does not attempt to merely defeat it. He will subjugate it, bend it to his will, carve up its corpse and integrate its power into himself. Megatron demands complete submission from those around him. Any opposition is savagely crushed, any insubordination violently punished. He is a monster in every sense of the word. Megatron tempers this barbarism with regal militaristic formality. He calls his closest troops "gentlemen." He speaks politely and intelligently. He makes it perfectly clear that he is completely cognizant of his madness.

Megatron's only weakness is his obsession with Optimus Prime. No matter how much power he attains, his final, glorious battle must be against him. On the occasions Prime has seemingly been destroyed, Megatron has sunk into a deep depression. Once Optimus Prime is gone, there may be no further challenges in this universe.

Millions of years ago, the civil war on Cybertron reached a bloody stalemate as both Autobots and Decepticons augmented their forces with a race of small power-enhancing Transformers known as the Mini-Cons. In the end, a truce was settled where the Mini-Cons would be exiled, never to be used as tools of war again. However, Megatron betrayed the truce, attacking with the full force of the Decepticon fleet in an attempt to capture all the Mini-Cons in one fell swoop. The Autobots, anticipating this turn of events, launched their fleet to protect the fleeing Exodus Mini-Con ship as it warped away.

In the year 2010, Cybertron received a Mini-Con homing beacon from a small privative world known as Earth unwittingly activated by a group of human children. Megatron lead his most loyal Decepticon warriors to his planet in search of the Mini-Cons, only to discover his arch-enemy Optimus Prime had followed to stop him. First Encounter

After a tactical retreat, it was revealed that the Decepticons have established a base in the ruined hulk of the Mini-Con ship on Earth's Moon. While pondering his next move, Megatron discovered a Mini-Con storage panel buried in the moon dust. Activating it, he discovered it contained his old Mini-Con partner, Leader-1. Counting upon this as his edge over the Autobots, he reconfigured the vehicle modes of his forces and set out to capture the human children and their Mini-Con friends. After surrounding them, he was thwarted yet again by the timely arrival of Optimus Prime and the other Autobots. However, Megatron soon demonstrated the great power a Mini-Con Powerlinx bestows on a Transformer, initially overwhelming the Autobots with his sheer firepower. Metamorphosis Base

Megatron went on to run a successful campaign, regularly capturing Mini-Cons and successfully combining the first two Mini-Con weapons, the Star Saber and the Skyboom Shield. Through the machinations of his tactician, Thrust (who was at the time indirectly being manipulated by Unicron), Megatron then acquired the final weapon, the Requiem Blaster, which was with the other two served to power the newly-built Hydra Cannon. The destructive force of his new weapon was unleashed against Earth, but Optimus Prime took the blast to save the planet, killing himself in the process.

Prime's death plunged Megatron into a deep depression, having lost his greatest opponent without the chance to finish him with his own hands. Thankfully for all concerned, the Mini-Cons were able to resurrect Optimus, restoring Megatron to his former self - but he soon underwent another change that allowed him to surpass all he had been, when he was among the Transformers who had their powers boosted by their Mini-Cons. Renaming himself "Galvatron," he returned to Cybertron with a renewed vigor for conquest. However, the emergence of the threat of Unicron was ignored by Galvatron, forcing his lieutenant Starscream to sacrifice himself to make his leader see the truth, and Galvatron again came to fear the end of his war in the face of Unicron's power.

Galvatron entered Unicron's body along with Optimus Prime, and was absorbed into the demi-god's body and mind, but when the Autobots' human allies freed the Mini-Cons from Unicron's thrall, Galvatron too was freed. Believing the threat of Unicron to be over, he challenged Prime to a final duel. However, the energies released in the battle reawakened Unicron, and Galvatron saw that the only way to end the circle was to destroy himself - sacrificing his life rather than live in an era of peace, Galvatron plunged himself into Unicron's maw, and in a flash, the two seemingly ceased to exist.

Although he was believed dead by both the Autobots and Decepticons, Megatron, like Unicron, had survived the final battle, his body now a decayed husk, absorbed into the equally damaged body of Unicron, where it lay for ten years. When the being called Alpha Quintesson began his plan to re-energize Unicron, Megatron saw his opportunity, siphoning off some of the energon that Alpha Q's Terrorcons stole, working towards his own rebirth. To turn the Decepticons to his side, Alpha Q forged a sword from Megatron's spark, but when an enraged Scorponok stabbed Megatron's corpse with the blade, Megatron was born anew. Taking the sword for his own, he proceeded to take over Unicron's body, sending Alpha Q fleeing in Unicron's head, and restarted his campaign against Earth and the Autobots, seeking energon to reactivate Unicron, who he would use as the ultimate weapon.

Megatron eventually succeeded in bringing Unicron to the vicinity of Cybertron and transforming the planet-eater to robot mode. However, in an attempt to stop him, Alpha Q rammed Unicron's head, charged with the positive energon of Earth, into Unicron's body. The resultant reaction between Earth's energon and the negatively-charged energon that powered Unicron tore a rupture in reality that led to a new region of space where Alpha Q recreated all the planets Unicron had consumed. Megatron immediately saw these new worlds as targets to acquire more energon, and after another series of attacks, Megatron successfully amassed enough to fully reanimate Unicron. However, the chaos-bringer's consciousness invaded Megatron's body, taking over his mind.

Although Optimus Supreme was able to destroy Unicron's body, his mind lived on, buried within Megatron, subtly directing him to attack Cybertron and uncover a reservoir of Super Energon beneath the planet's surface. Megatron immersed himself in the powerful liquid and underwent another power boost, once again taking the name of Galvatron. Quickly acquiring control of the planet, he forced the Autobots underground with energon gas and used the planet's Energon Towers to relocate Cybertron to Alpha Q's region of space. Once there, Galvatron once again soaked himself in Super Energon, growing to a colossal height, but as he did so, Unicron's influence totally seized control of his mind and directed him out into space to re-merge with his spark. Optimus Prime forced him into a battle, knowing that Galvatron's hatred of him would force his consciousness to surface again, and when it did, Prime drained Unicron's influence from Galvatron, sealing it within himself.

Enraged by Unicron's manipulations, Galvatron intended to destroy Unicron's spark, but wound up being possessed by it once more. While struggling to fight the control of Unicron, he was confronted by Optimus Prime once again, and rather than fight him, he plunged himself into the foundling sun created by Primus, igniting the star and once again seemingly destroying himself rather than allow Unicron victory.

Cybertron
:Voice actor: David Kaye, Trevor Devall (Episode 1, "Fallen" only) (US), Jouji Nakata (Japan), Wolf Frass (German)

Ten years later, Primus's plan to imprison Unicron's spark at the heart of the sun ultimately failed, leading the star to collapse, creating a black hole which threatened the existence of Cybertron, and the rest of the universe. Escaping his confinement within the sun, Megatron enhanced his powers by merging his body with the remnants of Unicron's shattered form, increasing his power with the dark god's own.

As the Autobots prepared to evacuate Cybertron in the wake of disasters caused by the black hole, Megatron struck, approaching the unprotected ancient Transformer Vector Prime, and stealing a holographic map containing locations of the Cyber Planet Keys that could be used to seal the black hole. Operating out of a fiery pocket dimension, Megatron schemed to used the world-shaping power of the Cyber Planet Keys and their focal Omega Lock to accelerate the universal degeneration created by the black hole, destroying the universe and using the keys to remake it in his own image.

Leaving Starscream and Thundercracker to search for the Omega Lock on Earth, Megatron located the resting place of the first Cyber Planet Key on Velocitron, the Speed Planet. Recruiting the native troublemakers Ransack and Crumplezone to do his bidding, he deduced that the planet's racing trophy was the key. After failing to defeat planet ruler Override in a race to learn more, however, he left Ransack and Crumplezone to compete in tournaments and win the trophy and turned his attention to the Jungle Planet, home of the second Cyber Planet Key, where he ingratiated himself with planet ruler Scourge. Both missions ultimately ended in failure, however, when the Autobots acquired the keys.

Attempting to find the third key, Megatron discovered that he had been betrayed by Starscream when the planet map - in reality, a duplicate switched out by Starscream - led him to a dead sector of space and sealed him within a metallic sphere. Scourge was able to liberate him a short time later, but in that time, Starscream had obtained the third Cyber Planet Key, from Earth, for himself, along with the Omega Lock and other keys. Megatron made a beeline for his treacherous lieutenant, but was intercepted by the Autobots Hot Shot, Red Alert and Scattorshot, who intended to hold him off until the other Autobots could stop Starscream. Starscream's attempts to harness the Earth Key, however, caused a release of its energies which endowed Megatron with a new Cyber Key power - the "Death Machine Gun," which he used to mow down the Autobots in his path.

The Autobots managed to retake the keys from Starscream, but a further attack from Megatron saw the Decepticon leader steal them out from under Optimus Prime's nose and retreat into his pocket dimension. Prime pursued him through the portal and defeated him in a pitched battle, reacquiring the lock and returning to Cybertron. As Megatron attempted to follow him, Vector Prime combined his portal-opening powers with the Cyber Planet Keys and collapsed Megatron's dimension in upon itself, destroying the villain.

This was not to be the end for Megatron, however, as the power of his Unicron armor sustained him as a ghost-like entity composed of pure darkness. In this state, he rematerialized on Cybertron and used Unicron's reformatting powers to upgrade the injured Crumplezone into Dark Crumplezone. As he came under attack from the Autobot Leobreaker, his regeneration completed and his physical body was restored, even as he used the remainder of the lingering darkness to create an evil doppleganger of Leobreaker, Nemesis Breaker, out of the Autobots own dark thoughts. Merging with Nemesis Breaker to form Dark Claw Mode, Megatron battled Optimus Prime and Leobreaker's Savage Claw Mode and made a further play for the Omega Lock, until news of the location of the fourth and final Cyber Planet Key led him to withdraw.

Guided through a spatial warp by the mysterious Soundwave to Gigantion, the Giant Planet, home of the final key, Megatron engaged the world's leader, Metroplex, in battle. Much to his surprise, however, he was utterly defeated in seconds. Consumed with rage, the power of Unicron within his armor reached out and detected the energies of the Giant Planet's Cyber Planet Key, drawing upon them and infusing Megatron's body with them. Attacking the Autobots in a dark, shadowed form, he decimated most of their forces before being confronted by Optimus Prime and completing his transformation - once again, Megatron had become Galvatron.

After taking revenge on Metroplex, Galvatron joined the race to acquire the Giant Play key, which included a rematch the reborn Hot Shot, Red Alert and Scattorshot. Yet again, the Autobots were able to acquire the key, but Galvatron then stole the completed Omega Lock, only to be attacked by Starscream, who battled with Galvatron for possession of the artifact. Galvatron ultimately claimed victory in the battle, with the sheer amount of energy released in the clash actually blasting Starscream (Along with Sideways and Soundwave who were trying to nick the lock) into another universe. With the lock and keys now in his hands, Galvatron attacks Primus and returned to the Black Hole, where he was confronted and finally defeated by the five planet leaders, right before they return the Omega Lock and the Cyber Planet Keys to Primus, whose Spark is then restored and uses the Ark to finally seal the black hole for good.

Having had ultimate power torn from his grasp, Galvatron contemplated giving up. He was then spoken to by Starscream's spirit, who said that if he was to give up just like that, then he was "no Unicron." Starscream vanished but stayed as a memory. His crown, left floating in space after his demise, came to Galvatron, who clenched it close. He realized that his former lieutenant was right and decided to continue his conquest (presumably keeping the crown as a trophy). He challenged Optimus Prime to one final duel. Battling on Cybertron's moon, Galvatron generated a massive blade of dark energy, which Prime countered with Vector Prime's sword. As the two old enemies charged towards each other in a final strike, Prime impaled Galvatron, whose body crumbled and dissolved as he met his end once and for all.

In a montage sequence at the conclusion of the series, however, Galvatron's evil proved eternal, as, beyond the veil of time and space, his spark battled with that of Vector Prime.
Megatron is the cold, calculating, and above all powerful and dangerous leader of the Decepticons. Despite this, he occasionally rushes into situations without thinking and has an obsession with power & gaining it. He was the one who founded the Decepticons, capturing every Mini-Con on the planet and taking control of Cybertron. Dreamwave Armada issue 2
When the Autobots gained Mini-Cons of their own and forced him into retreat on Earth, he was humiliated; unable to fully admit he'd been defeated ("Optimus Prime was able to-- to-- escape") and become obsessed with gaining more power to counter this. He later attempted to seize control of the Mini-Con Moon Base and its inhabitants; rushing in without thinking, he gave Leader-1 the means to seal him in a security room and almost torture him to death Dreamwave Armada issue 11.

He came out of this with the Destruction Mini-Con Team as his prisoners, only to find they had a failsafe in their systems that gave out both unfettered power and incredible pain to anyone linking them to by force. Having tasted that power, Megatron was unwilling to let it go, and so actually made a deal with Dualor in return for it, Fire & Ice even though he knew they'd end up betraying him. Dreamwave Armada issue 13

Later, after Optimus Prime's sudden disappearance, he ordered an attack on Autobase, critically wounding Smokescreen in the process. This was disrupted by the machinations of Unicron, whose heralds took out the Decepticons' Cybertron base and Earth forces, and Megatron fought a vicious battle to the death with the herald Galvatron. With the help of the Air Defense Team and the Star Saber, he was able to dismember the herald viciously. Worlds Collide
Regrouping after this, he formed an alliance with Optimus to get "payback". Though his body was meticulously and painfully disassembled and cannibalized by Unicron's defense systems, his consciousness survived within Unicron's spark core. Ironhide was worried that Megatron would kill him too, but Megatron told him that he wanted him alive so that he could tell everyone that he had returned.<br>

:Megatron can also combine with Tidal Wave, with Tidal Wave's aircraft carrier and battleship clipping onto his arms and his troop transport clipping onto Megatron's back (after the turret has been positioned in Full Blast Mode configuration) as a jetpack.

: While the American version had a metallic purple face, the Japanese had a plain silver face and more detailed Decepticon symbols.

: This mold was used to make Universe Megazarak.

: Galvatron is a predominantly purple and white redeco of the previous Gigacon class Megatron toy, covered in black 'battle damage' scorch mark decos and a paint wash on this torso and tank treads. Functionally the only difference is that the sound clip played when a Mini-Con is used on his turret hatch Powerlinx port now says "The Power is mine!" (which was also a line spoken by Megatron in an episode of the Armada cartoon.

: The Takara release has slight paint-shade difference from the Hasbro version and a metallic gray face instead of flat black, plus fictionally, he comes with a powered-up version of Leader-1 rather than the separate character Clench.
Megatron is armed with a dual missile launcher based upon the Mini-Con activated version on the regular Ultra class toy. He came with a block-version of his Mini-Con parter Leader-1, as well as Cyclonus with Crumplezone model.

:Energon Megatron transforms into a off-white gray and blue Cybertronic jet superficially resembling the vehicle mode of Generation 1 Cyclonus. Included is a small representation of Armada Megatron's tank form, which can plug onto the top of the vehicle mode and can also fire missiles out of its spring-loaded main gun, which also activates an (oddly) machine gun sound effect. Hyper Mode can be activated by raising the upper gray parts of his wings in an 'X-wing' configuration, which extends the translucent green weapons underneath.

:In robot mode Megatron greatly resembles Generation 1 Galvatron in general appearance and in that character's original toy's Megatron-based color scheme. The two cannons on his shoulders are typically displayed pointing upwards to evoke the appearance of Megatron's previous Armada body, but they can be lowered into firing position. The small tank accessory can be attached to either of his arms as a cannon, or it can be flipped around and have a sword attached to the rear of its turret. The sword connection is spring-loaded, and movement front the sword will activate a sword clashing sound effect and light up an LED inside.

: In the United States, this figure was initially only available at Wal-Mart stores, and saw a wider release shortly after.
: Megatron is a simple toy based on his ultra sized Energon toy, with no moving arms. he came with a green energon cube(called a missile, bizarly) in his body that could be taken out, and could light up by fliping a switch.

: As part of the "Powerlinx Battles" line refresh, Hasbro's Super class Megatron was extensively redecoed to resemble Generation 1 Galvatron as much as possible. His predominant color is (naturally) purple, with black plastic and extensive use of metallic silver and metallic red paint for detailing. All translucent plastic was replaced with orange.

:Cybertron Megatron transforms into a multi-colored Cybertronic race car and jet. In car mode he resembles a dragster, with large rolling wheels and a comparatively small cockpit. Separating the front halves of the car and flipping them to the sides, connecting them to the hole in the middle of his real wheels transforms him into his jet thing. Okay. Inserting a Cyber Planet Key into his central slot above his cockpit canopy activates a spring-loaded, pop up engine with red LEDs.

:In robot mode Megatron's design is partially based upon Armada Unicron's design, with very similar shoulders and arms, though the retention of Unicron's trademark orange leads to a rather chaotic color scheme (how appropriate). In contrast to the previous two major Unicron Trilogy toys Megatron has had, Cybertron Megatron features excellent articulation, though his top-heavy design puts some strain on the ratcheting joints in his ankles. Inserting a Cyber Key into the slot on the vehicle half behind his right shoulder opens up a panel to access a rotating gatling gun weapon made up of his left front car wheel (this weapon was called a Death Machine Gun in Japan). Inserting a Cyber Key into his slot on the vehicle half behind his left shoulder opens up another panel and detaches his Unicron Spines melee weapon, which can attach onto his left forearm. He can also combine with Nemesis Breaker for the Dark Claw Mode seen in like, one episode, though his balance in this form is tenuous at best.
: Cybertron Galvatron is a silver and black redeco of Leader class Cybertron Megatron. The color scheme is based upon Generation 1 Megatron. It is notable that in contrast to most Transformers toys, most of the parts designated silver are fully painted silver. His arms contain a hard point for connecting Nemesis Breaker, just like that one time they did it and never mentioned it ever again.

: It is worth noting that while this mold was first released earlier in 2006 as part of the Beast Wars 10th Anniversary line and is obviously meant to be Beast Wars Megatron, it was developed to fit in with Cybertron's Jungle Planet aesthetic, "in case" the Beast Wars Anniversary release didn't pan out (according to Aaron Archer's statements at 2005).

: This version of Attacktix Megatron is based on his Cybertron robot form. Despite being called an "Energy Blast" (Attacktix terminology was all created based on Star Wars), his missile is actually designed to resemble the tire section of his gatling gun. The angled missile works best by positioning it to oppose the angle of the stance of the figure you're aiming at.

: Megatron is designed to work with his Vehicle Mode figure, bringing a Vehicle Mode Megatron into play from your back-ups. He has four points of articulation (head, waist and shoulders), which he can use to form a defensive tripod by angling his gun arm down behind him.
:Attack Type: Shooter (Small missile)

: Megatron's Vehicle mode is based on his jet form rather than his car form. In this form he has a ridiculously huge cannon (it's almost the size of the jet) which can swivel at its base - the only point of articulation on the figure.

: Megatron's speed is unusually high for a shooter, and his very reliable power makes him an effective support figure. Because of the wording of his power he can bring into play any figure named Megatron, including the Generation 1 Megatron figure, from your backups.
Trivia
* A conceptual drawing in the Micron Legend Yearbook 2003 showed Armada Megatron as originally being more weapon-laden and certifiably able to kill you to death.

*Also in the Micron Legend Yearbook 2003, Armada Megatron's cannon's concept art specifically notes that there is a "'80s Galvatron" homage sculpted on the barrel.

* A different development sketch in the Yearbook revealed that "Gigatron" was one of Armada Megatron's working names.

* According to Aaron Archer as ORSON on the now-defunct "Orson's World" forum at TFW2005.com, Armada Megatron's "antlers" were part of an aborted Mini-Con grabber gimmick. The gimmick didn't make it, but the antlers remained.

* Also according to Archer, the chin on Armada Megatron is supposed to look like a pair of fangs to play up the character's evil nature. How well this was actually pulled off in the final sculpt is debatable.

* When a fan asked him why Energon Megatron was not named Galvatron, owing to continuity with the Armada series and the obvious visual homage in the figure's design, Archer explained that it was due to Hasbro needing to protect their trademarks, as well as Megatron being a more recognizable (and thus marketable) product name. He added that he personally wanted to call the toy Galvatron Imperius.

* According to the Armada Playstation 2 game instruction booklet, Megatron's Armada body has the following statistics:
:Height: 22' 11" (8' 3" vehicle mode)
:Weight: 106,925 lbs
:Power: 1,600 hp
:Vehicle top speed: 50mph

* During his stint on the Armada comic, it seems Pat Lee may have been referring to the original Hasbro stock photo of a mis-assembled Megatron toy (seen on the right), as he consistently draws Megatron's feet as being flipped with the "grates" from the tops of the feet facing forward.
*His energon incarnation was so weak even as Galvatron he was defeated by an unenhanced prime (discluding energon stars).
Sentinel Prime is a member of the Cybertron Elite Guard under the command of Ultra Magnus. His alt-mode is a snow plow truck.

Sentinel has a history of rivalry with Optimus Prime, who attended the Autobot Academy with him. In his academy days, he was somewhat of a maverick, leading the more responsible Optimus to refer to him as a "walking malfunction." Of course, he's the one that ended up on the Elite Guard while Optimus was sent off to repair space bridges, of which fact he's all too fond of reminding his former classmate.

All things considered, he's kind of a jerk.
Sentinel Prime took Optimus and Elita-1 on a mission looking for an old Decepticon warship, hoping to get all the energon stored within. However, they ran into a pack of massive arachnids. Sentinel Prime tried to hold them off long enough for Optimus and Elita to escape. When he came across the the ship that Optimus and Elita found, Optimus had to drag him away from the exploding energon, forcing them to leave Elita-1 behind. Optimus Prime's radar couldn't find Elita's energy signature, and he assumed that she was dead. A furious Sentinel blamed Optimus Prime for what happened, even though this whole disaster had been his idea. Jerk. Along Came a Spider

Years later, he's still a jerk. When Optimus Prime rings up the Cybertron Elite Guard to tell them of the Decepticons in pursuit, he sneers that a screw-up like Optimus isn't worth the attention of Ultra Magnus. Piping through a visual of the AllSpark from the cargo hold of the Ark shuts him up quickly enough. Transform and Roll Out!
*Like another sentinel of liberty, Sentinel Prime's signature weapon is a round shield that he wears on his arm and throws around the room like a discus. The shield can also project a protective force field.
*Sentinel Prime's blue coloration and especially pronounced chin really make him look like The Tick. He's even voiced by Townsend Coleman, who provided the voice of the Tick in his 1990s animated series. At the minute, we don't know if the character was designed to look like the Tick and the casting was done based on that, or if the casting of Coleman prompted the Tick-style design, or some other combination of factors, but its pretty evident that the writers are working with it, having him utter silly Tick-esque lines like "Energon-y goodness!"
*This is the first time the name "Sentinel Prime" has been used outside the comics.
*If he doesn't get a toy, there will be much sadness.
*Was prime's predecessar in the comics but was killed by Megatron, here's hoping history repeats itself.
A hyperactive wisecracker, Bumblebee is quite convinced he's the fastestm-and coolestm-thing on four wheels. He has a tendency to bite off more then he can chew, so it's a good thing he pals around with the massive Bulkhead. He does not take well to being called "short", and his over-eager ways can get on Ratchet's nerves all too easily. Still, Bumblebee is good people, as evidenced by his fast friendship with Sari Sumdac.

Bumblebee can save a little girl from a rampaging slug creature and retain his cheerfulness and good humor while doing so. He also calls Optimus "Big Bot"... sounds familiar.

His hands can transform intro electronic welders, which he can use to shoot electric jolts. Also, he has a strangely familiar faceplate—probably also for welding. Despite the fact that he maintains that he's a repair-bot and not programmed for combat, he's quite useful in battle.

Bumblebee is a member of Optimus Prime's repair crew, assigned to perform maintenance on malfunctioning space bridges. He proved agile enough to help his stronger (but much larger) teammate, Bulkhead, who had managed to lodge a wrecking ball in an asteroid. Even though he expressed significant fear of Megatron, he still managed to crack wise at the Decepticon leader's appearance once they were face-to-face. The humor vanished when Megs pulled out his sword. After Megatron was thrown off the ship, Bumblebee entered stasis with the rest of the crew just before the Ark crash-landed on Earth.

Upon awakening the crew to alert them to the intrusion of a nanite-powered bug-slug, the ship's computer scanned vehicle modes to disguise them. Bumblebee got reformatted into Captain Fanzone's car. Lucky him.

Upon noticing "a little creature" struggling with her "owner", 'Bee and Mr. Bulk showed their unfamiliarity with organic life by assuming the owner/pet relationship was reversed. Their speculation was interrupted by the attacks of the giant, nanite-fueled bug monster, and Bumblebee intervened to get Sari out of the way. Later in the battle, Bumblebee was called on to deliver the override command to the beast's nanites, as he was the fastest and most nimble of the crew.

His defeat of the monster seriously impressed Sari, who decided to befriend him. Sari's definition of befriending included cajoling him into sneaking her aboard the Ark. Of course, Sari wouldn't stay still as Bumblebee asked, compelling him to jettison her into a ventilation shaft. After introducing her to the group, Sari and 'Bee became fast friends. When Starscream attacked Detroit, Bumblebee took a shot intended for Sari, allowing Screamer to capture Bumblebee, Isaac Sumdac, Captain Fanzone, and the Mayor. Sari, with Prowl's help, managed to rescue them. Transform and Roll Out!

At one point, Bumblebee took part in a match against Cyrus "Colossus" Rhodes. Unfortunately, Cyrus hulked up, then proceeded to beat the slag out of Bumblebee. The other Autobots were forced to rescue him, using it as a chance to riff on his small stature. However, only Bumblebee was able to get into Sumdac Tower when Meltdown went to kill Isaac Sumdac. Bumblebee managed to get him to the ground floor, but Meltdown arrived. Bulkhead tried to stop him, but Meltdown threw a glob of acid at Bulkhead, which Bumblebee took instead (basically, 'Bee is a human shield). Bulkhead offered his apologies over his comments, saying he was only having a little fun&mdash;which sent Bumblebee into declaring his good moves and speed. He's going to be pretty impossible to live with for a while. Total Meltdown

After showing a lack of ability to be subtle on Earth, Prime had Prowl try to teach Bumblebee how to blend in. This ruined some plans with Sari, as she wanted to attach some turbo-boosters to him to make him go even faster. During the exercise, they encountered Nanosec, a crook that had gained Professor Sumdac's new speed suit via unknown patrons. Unable to keep up with Nanosec, Bumblebee was convinced by Sari attach the turbo-boosters against Prime's orders. Unfortunately, he couldn't control them in vehicle mode, allowing Nanosec to escape from the Autobots twice. Worse, he was carrying enough Destronium to destroy all of Detroit. Overhearing Bulkhead and Prowl's comments on his change of appearance, Bumblebee realized that the suit was causing him to age the more he used it, so he purposefully ran him into old age (cold, Bee). With the Destronium about to go critical, Bumblebee, with help from Prowl and Bulkhead, managed to use his turbo-boosters to head into the outer atmosphere and get the Destronium away from the city before detonating. The whole experience seems have given Bumblebee a bit more respect for subtlety. Nanosec (episode)

When Decepticon activity was detected in high levels, Bulkhead spilled the beans on what he and Prowl did with the Dinobots, and Optimus Prime pretty much lost it. Ranting that all he had was a group of insubordinate malfunctions, he told Ratchet to take the key from Sari, saying it wasn't safe in her hands. As she ran off crying, Bumblebee defended her, and Prime pointed out that Bumblebee wasn't a good character witness. Bumblebee mouthed off that their situation meant that Prime wasn't fit to command, and then went looking for Sari. Heading to Sumdac Tower, Bumblebee spotted Starscream, and disobeyed Prime's order to hold off. Heading up the elevator (which could not only fit him, but also carry his weight) Bumblebee charged firing his stingers at Starscream. All it really did was interrupt his speech, which made Starscream seriously freak out. However, a crane pulled Starscream, who was holding Bumblebee, up to the roof, where the two fought it out...right until Megatron burst through the roof of the tower. Megatron Rising - Part I

Megatron Rising - Part 2

After Megatron's restoration, Starscream absent-mindedly beat on Bumblebee for a while, then threw him aside when Megatron called the Decepticons to him. After being repaired with remaining key energy in Professor Sumdac's lab, Bumblebee called Prime on his statements, and Optimus apologized, saying he was out of line. After the Ark showed up, the Autobots and Sumdacs boarded the ship in an attempt to lead Megatron and the Decepticons off planet, but were shot down and crashed on Dinobot Island. As the Autobots rallied to defend the AllSpark, Bumblebee, Ratchet, and Prowl took on Blitzwing, with Ratchet and Bumblebee causing him to crash due to an electromagnetic pulse. After shelling them in tank mode, Blitzwing again took to the air for some strafing runs. Prowl noticed a connection between Blitzwing's alternate modes and personalities, so they had Bumblebee cause Angry Blitzwing to emerge using his greatest strength: his obnoxious personality. Taunting the triple changer, Bumblebee got him to accidently transform into tank mode and crash into the lake. Megatron Rising - Part 2
Now she is trapped between organic and machine, unable to take a new form. Blackarachnia was previously known as Elita-1. A thousand stellar cycles ago Elita and her teammates, Optimus Prime and Sentinel Prime, were exploring an alien world, looking for a Decepticon ship filled with energon. They accidentally fell into a series of caves. They were ambushed by giant spiders and, when escaping the massive energon explosion caused by the battle, Elita ended up being left behind. When she tried using her ability to borrow powers from other beings, she was injected by the spiders' venom, turning her into the hideous freak she is now. Because of her new, semi-organic nature, her signal did not appear on Optimus's radar, leading him and Sentinel to believe that she had perished in the explosion. Along Came a Spider

When the All Spark was found by a group of Autobots, Blackarachnia was aboard the Nemesis with the other Decepticons, annoyed at Lugnut's emphatic, vocal loyalty to Megatron. She even suggested that Lugnut's speech of praise was hardwired into his mind. She also had conflict with Blitzwing, who touched a sore point by insulting her organic mode. Her retort to "blow it out your actuator, three-face" angered Blitzwing to the point that he...began to express his feelings in song. Later, at Megatron's orders, she scanned the Autobots' ship to determine the nature of their high-energy cargo. She confirmed the Autobots were carrying the All Spark, or at least something just as powerful. When the Autobots escaped and it became clear the Nemesis was going to crash into an exploding space bridge, Blackarachnia fled in an escape pod. Transform and Roll Out!

Later, she stalked Bumblebee, Bulkhead, and Sari on Halloween night. After she took out Bumblebee and Bulkhead, she started lying to Sari, who, even after her encounter with Starscream, still couldn't recognize a Decepticon. Fortunately, Optimus came along, but Blackarachnia kidnapped Sari and started web-swinging.

After she got to the top of a skyscraper, Prime tried to fight her, only to realize at last who she was. Blackarachnia tried to use Sari's All Spark key to become fully mechanical. However, the energies unleashed caused any organic life in range, including Sari (and presumably any other fleshy) to shrivel and sicken. It almost killed Blackarachnia, but Optimus Prime pulled the key out, restoring the organics. Prime tried to reason with "Elita", asking her to come with them in the hopes of curing her, but Blackarachnia stabbed him, saying that it would be a long time before she trusted him again. After she knocked out Prime, she cried her four eyes out. Along Came a Spider

Later, she again kidnapped Sari, who was running away after having the key taken away from her. When she heard about the key and how Sari felt totally mistrusted by the Autobots, Blackarachnia played on the girl's sympathies by saying she knew how Sari felt. BA noted how she was not a Decepticon until after the Autobots turned their backs on her, and how the All Spark's power was the only thing that could cure her current form. Despite being kidnapped again and nearly being killed by BA's previous use of the key, Sari appeared to start seeing eye to eye with her captor. Megatron Rising - Part I

Megatron Rising - Part II
At least, that was what she wanted Blackarachnia to believe. Leading her around in circles over the frozen Lake Erie, Sari was finally forced to admit that the Ark, which contained the All Spark, was underwater. Blackarachnia's organic half couldn't survive underwater, and she prepared to kill Sari. Ratchet brought the ship up through the ice, and Sari bit Blackarachnia's hand, showing that her organic half couldn't withstand teeth, causing her to drop Sari and allow Ratchet to grab her and get in the ship. As Blackarachnia tried to force the door open, the Ark accelerated, and Blackarachnia thrown off the ship. Here's hoping her organic half can survive hard impact. Megatron Rising - Part II
Optimus Prime is a relatively naive and idealistic young leader, prone to long-winded "inspirational" speeches, who leads a small and inexperienced Autobot space bridge maintenance team under the supervision of Ratchet. Despite his humble "Bot Next Door" persona, he performs his job with a dedicated seriousness. He transforms into a fire engine and wields a kick-ass, rocket-powered, extendable battle axe, as well as wrist-mounted grappler cables.

Sentinel Prime sneers at Optimus's lowly repair job. More than anything, Prime wishes to be a hero. He's got the speeches, he's got the moves...but what is he missing?
On a mission, Optimus and Elita 1 accompanied Sentinel Prime to a forbidden organic planet in search of a lost Decepticon ship rumored to be rich in Energon. After finding the planet to be infested with giant spiders, the trio finally decided to leave, but their retreat was not easy. Though Optimus and Elita found the Decepticon ship and its coveted energon cubes, they were forced to escape when spiders surrounded them. However, Elita was left behind, presumed destroyed in an energon explosion. Sentinel Prime was furious and blamed Optimus for her death. Along Came a Spider

Some time after this dark moment, Prime either abandoned or flunked the Autobot Academy and eventually found himself leading a small space bridge repair crew a thousand stellar cycles later. Prime and his crew came across the AllSpark while repairing a Space Bridge and brought the artifact aboard their ship. During transport, they were discovered by the Decepticons, and Megatron came after them. He proved too strong to take head on (in spite of his subordinate planting a bomb on his chassis), but when the Autobot ship neared Earth, Prime knocked Megatron overboard. The Autobots stayed in stasis for the next 50 years until they were accidentally awakened by an apparent intruder. Optimus and the Autobots took on Earth vehicles as alternate modes in an attempt to assimilate with what they believed to be the local dominant culture. Prime and his team were able to dispatch a bio-mechanical insectoid that was attacking Detroit. They were hailed as heroes for it.

Over the next several weeks, the Autobots got to learn human culture and and customs, doing their best to prevent disasters and save lives. Eventually, Starscream came for the AllSpark, and Optimus found that the schemer could pack quite a punch. The Autobot officer was still able to keep Starscream from getting the artifact, though at the cost of his life. However, he was quickly revived by Sari Sumdac and her AllSpark-influenced key. Later, the Autobots helped rebuild parts of Detroit that were destroyed in their battle with Starscream. Transform and Roll Out!

Unfortunately for Optimus, he had gained a reputation outside of Earth's atmosphere&mdash;not as a hero, but as the slayer of Megatron. The Decepticon Blitzwing placed a large bounty on his head, and pretty soon, Lockdown came to collect. He captured Prime and stole his axe and grapplers. Fortunately, Ratchet saved him, finally getting the old bot to open up more. The Thrill of the Hunt

During the Autobots' first Halloween on Earth, the Decepticon Blackarachnia showed up and kidnapped Sari. When Optimus Prime tried to fight her, she dodged all his moves, as she had trained with him. Prime was shocked to learn that Blackarachnia was his old Autobot Academy classmate Elita-1, who hadn't died but been mutated while fighting off the giant arachnids those many years ago. Blackarachnia tried to use Sari's AllSpark key to remove the organic aspects from her biology, but the key began to drain the life from everything organic around and nearly killed Blackarachnia herself. Prime removed the key, saving Blackarachnia and the organics. Still calling her Elita, Prime tried to convince her to return to the Autobots so they could try and help her. She repaid that kindness by injecting him with venom and telling him that she would never trust him again. Prime was left to reflect on the friend he'd failed not once, but twice. Along Came a Spider

When Decepticon energy signals were detected near the city, the Autobots quickly realized that their options were limited. Bulkhead mentioned that the Dinobots might help, forcing Prowl to reveal how the two moved them to Dinobot Island. Prime's reaction was...displeased, to say the least. Prime also concluded that the Key was no longer safe with Sari, and he ordered Ratchet to take it from her. As Sari ran off crying, Bumblebee mouthed off that their situation was an indication that Prime was unfit for command.

Heading to Dinobot Island, Prime did not get off to a good start with Grimlock, mostly because Grimlock considered him lunch. After Prowl smoothed things over, Prime tried to convince them to help the Autobots fight the Decepticons, but Grimlock was uninterested. Receiving word from Ratchet that the Key had been stolen, Prime ordered Ratchet to guard the AllSpark while the Autobots headed back for the mainland. Prime himself also began to wonder if he was fit for command, seeing as all his decisions had blown up in his face. When Bumblebee contacted the Autobots to inform them that Starscream was at Sumdac Tower, he refused Prime's order to hold back and went to attack the Decepticon on his own. Prime dryly noted that the day just kept getting better and better.

Then everything pretty much went to hell when Megatron burst out of Sumdac Tower, to the shock and horror of just about everyone. Megatron Rising - Part I

Megatron Rising - Part II
Quickly regaining their composure, the Autobots attacked. Megatron beat the slag out of them. Though Optimus faired slightly better, Megatron still brought him down fairly quickly. They were only able to escape when Megatron punished Starscream for his betrayal. Taking refuge within Sumdac Tower, Professor Sumdac explained his role in Megatron's revival, and helped repair the Autobots with residual key energy. After Bumblebee called Prime to answer for his earlier assessment of them, Prime admitted he was wrong, and asked them for forgiveness. As Ratchet and Sari showed up with the Ark, the Autobots took flight, hoping to lure the Decepticons away from Earth to prevent human casualties. Unfortunately, the Decepticons shot down the Ark and caused it to crash on Dinobot Island.

As the Autobots took on the Decepticons, Optimus faced down Megatron. It went as well as the first time. When Megatron got into the Ark, he took the AllSpark and placed it within him, using it as a weapon against Prime. However, Megatron had dropped the key, and Sari threw it to Prime. The Autobot officer used the key to send a surge of energy through the AllSpark, causing it to disperse while still in Megatron. With the threat passed, Prime apologized to Sari and returned the key, saying it was too important to be trusted with an Autobot. Megatron Rising - Part II

:Based on his pre-Earth Cybertronian look, the first version of Animated Optimus Prime transforms into a half-track Cybertronic truck loosely based on the Mitsubishi Fuso Hybrid concept truck. As a half-track, instead of rear wheels, he has molded, caterpillar-linked tracks with smaller wheels inside for rolling along smooth surfaces. Prime's axe weapon is stored by partially folding the axe at the grey hinge near the handle peg, then placing the handle peg in a hole on the back of the cab (actually his two fists' holes, thus helping them holding in position) with the blade facing down and a grey peg facing up, acting as a "fifth wheel" (known as a trailer hitch among fans), should one find a suitable trailer to attach onto it.

:He has a superb range of articulation, as is the standard with Animated toys, due to the extensive use of ball joints and universal hinge joints. As stated above, the hitch assembly becomes his axe, which can be wielded with one blade (for the rocket-boosted look) or have the single blade split to form a double-bladed axe. The truck roof is mounted on his left arm as a shield or can be separated in two and be attached to the axe to become giant energon blades.
