:Drag Strip is a Decepticon Stunticon from the Generation 1 continuity family.
Drag Strip has never heard of the term "graceful in victory". He doesn't just like to win, he loves it. Drag Strip would sooner die a miserable death than ever sacrifice a victory, as he thrives on the bragging rights which accompany first place. He can't keep himself from stroking his own ego and bragging about his accomplishments in excruciating detail.

The other Decepticons, Megatron included, hate his metal guts and would gladly pummel him to scrap for being plain obnoxious if it weren't for the fact that his insatiable lust for victory makes him a formidable foe against the Autobots.

Drag Strip combines with his fellow Stunticons to form Menasor.

After a failed attempt to steal experimental superfuel from United States military, Megatron realized that while the Decepticons controlled the skies, the Autobots had supremacy on the ground, and so they needed new ground-based warriors who could out-drive and out-fight the Autobots on their terms. Rumble was sent to steal various human vehicles that would be rebuilt into the new Stunticons. In Drag Strip's case, Rumble targeted the winner of a Formula 1 race on national television, which was a bad idea really, as it alerted the Autobots to Megatron's scheme. The Decepticons journeyed to Cybertron, beat the Key to Vector Sigma out of Alpha Trion's possession and ordered the ancient supercomputer to give life to the Stunticons. The Key to Vector Sigma, Part 1 Whilst the Autobots were trapped on Cybertron, the Decepticons returned to Earth with the newly awakened Stunticons who began wreaking havoc and damaging the Autobots' good name by attacking the US military base containing the experimental rocket fuel. Eventually, the Autobots returned with the newly built Aerialbots whose combined form Superion defeated the Stunticon combiner Menasor. The Key to Vector Sigma, Part 2

Despite this defeat, the Stunticons were the key component in Megatron's elaborate scheme to hold a fake charity race from Paris to Istanbul so he could steal US driver Auggie Cahnay's experimental car which would be melted down to house the the powerful Pearl of Bahoudin. One by one, the Stunticons disabled the Autobot participants assigned to protect Cahnay, but the downfall of Megatron's plan came when he ordered the Stunticons to stop going after the remaining Autobots. Together, Cahnay, Bumblebee, Tracks and Bluestreak defeated Menasor and destroyed the Pearl of Bahoudin. Trans-Europe Express

When Megatron needed additional equipment for his latest secret weapon, he sent the Stunticons out to steal it for him. Drag Strip and Dead End stormed a U.S. military base and scooped up a new experimental generator for their leader. On the way back, Drag Strip kept trying to taunt the disinterested Dead End into racing with him back to base. Their racing was interrupted, though, by the Autobots Tracks and Warpath. Drag Strip was knocked for a loop by Warpath's rapid-fire shells from his turret gun. Brought in to Autobot custody, the Stunticons were held prisoner while Optimus Prime and the Autobots used camouflage paint to disguise themselves as the Stunticons in order to enter Megatron's good graces and learn the purpose of the stolen equipment. Mirage, the Autobots' spy, took Drag Strip's place. The Stunticons did manage to break loose, though, and smashed their way out of the Ark as Menasor and made their rendezvous with Megatron, only to find themselves confronted with a faux Menasor, created by a combination of Mirage's illusions and Windcharger's magnetism. The real Menasor easily broke the delicately bonded "Menasor", but the Autobots had also sabotaged the equipment before handing it over to Megatron. After the super-cannon exploded, the Stunticons fled the battle. Masquerade

When Megatron was infected with Cosmic Rust after a trip to the lost Autobot colony of Antilla, the Stunticons were assigned to capture the Autobot scientist Perceptor, who had developed the powerful anti-corrosion Corrostop. Drag Strip water skiied behind a speedboat driven by Wildrider, allowing him to force Perceptor to back into the waiting Motormaster. After Megatron cured himself and infected the Autobots with the Cosmic Rust, Menasor attacked the Statue of Liberty in New York City with the ancient Lightning Bug heat ray, intent on stopping the Autobots from matter-duplicating more Corrostop from the layer they sprayed on the statue. Superion defeated Menasor and destroyed the Lightning Bug. Cosmic Rust (episode)

After Starscream was banished for yet another failed coup, he returned with a powerful new Decepticon team called the Combaticons who were able to outfight Autobot and Decepticon alike. With Megatron needing a trump card, Soundwave attempted to call on the Stunticons to help, but Drag Strip said to tell Megatron to blow it out his exhaust pipe. However, the Stunticons belatedly arrived after the Combaticons' combined form of Bruticus defeated Devastator and forced Megatron to acknowledge Starscream as the new Decepticon leader. Realizing that Starscream would not stop at Megatron, the Stunticons merged into Menasor and disabled Bruticus in one mighty punch. Starscream's Brigade

In the wake of Unicron's attack on Cybertron in the year 2005 and the subsequent Decepticon exile to Chaar in 2006, the Stunticons were reduced to being scavengers, fighting like slaargs with their fellow Decepticons over the few scraps of energon they had. This changed when Cyclonus brought news of Galvatron's survival, and the Stunticons were among the first to donate their few remaining energon supplies to help revive their leader and give the Decepticons purpose. Five Faces of Darkness, Part 1 However, while Cyclonus and the Sweeps were resurrecting Galvatron, the Quintessons arrived on Chaar with an offer of energon in exchange for attacking the Autobots. Drag Strip was among those who were incredulous at their offer... but the Stunticons were instrumental in convincing the other Decepticons to go along with the Quintessons. Drag Strip was the very first Decepticon to board the Quintesson ship when ordered. Five Faces of Darkness, Part 3 After Galvatron returned to seize control of the Decepticons, the Stunticons were part of the Decepticon team attacking the Autobots on Earth. Five Faces of Darkness, Part 5

When the Decepticons took up arms in Europe, Drag Strip and the Stunticons were part of the troops Galvatron maintained out of their mobile headquarters, Trypticon. They joined forces to battle Defensor as Menasor. Later, the Stunticons were diverted away from Trypticon by Rodimus Prime and Ultra Magnus, allowing the Witwickys to sneak inside and steal the city-bot's transforming cog. As diversions go, it was a good one—the Stunticons were beaten senseless by the two Autobot leaders, and were in no position to pursue the thieves. Galvatron expressed his disgust with their performance by punting Drag Strip into a tree. The Ultimate Weapon

Drag Strip made a very brief appearance on Chaar when Scourge used the power of the Matrix to temporarily wrest control of the Decepticons from Galvatron. The Burden Hardest to Bear Drag Strip and the Stunticons were also among the first Decepticons to be infected by the Hate Plague. The Return of Optimus Prime, Part 1
Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers comic
Drag Strip and the Stunticons decided to have a little fun and tear up a baseball stadium in Japan. Luckily, the Autobots' plucky young ally Kenji was present to radio for assistance. All the combiner teams assembled, and it was Menasor and Bruticus against Superion and Defensor! Defensor was forced to break apart by the combined Decepticon attack, but Superion and Kenji got the idea to shoot out the Decepticons' legs. Groove and Blades took advantage of the empty combiner ports and took over as Menasor's legs, launching him into the ocean. Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers issue 5

While posing as Autobots, Drag Strip, Onslaught and the Stunticons rampaged through the city streets, smearing the good name of their adversaries. Later, Frenzy and Rumble posed as humans to rally people against the Autobots, and Motormaster's brigade staged an attack on the rally to drive the point home. The Autobot fire engines Hot Spot and Inferno arrived, however, and used their water hoses to wash off the Decepticons' fake insignia. Enraged, Motormaster planned to combine into Menasor...only to see his men were already retreating into the distance. Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers issue 7
Scramble City cartoon
Drag Strip and the Stunticons are summoned by Megatron to put an end to the Scramble City project, and succeed where Starscream had failed. Their first strike was impressive, holding back Optimus Prime and a cadre of Autobots and shooting the Aerialbots out of the skies. When the Aerialbots formed Superion, Drag Strip and his teammates followed suit and merged into Menasor. Scramble City: Mobilization
The Great Transformer War comic
Galvatron kidnapped Doctor Dalton of Eran to upgrade the might of his combiner warriors. When the Autobot combiners arrived to save Dalton, Drag Strip and his teammates were deployed at high speeds from Motormaster's launcher mode. They met Superion in mid-air, and the force of their deployment enabled the combiner teams to tear him apart. The Stunticons then merged into Menasor to move in for the kill. They were ultimately outwitted by the Autobots, however, who rescued Dalton and safely returned to Metroplex. The Great Transformer War issue 1
The Headmasters cartoon
Drag Strip and the Stunticons participated in Galvatron's siege on Cybertron. They managed to gain the high ground against the Dinobots and Throttlebots, and rained laser fire down on their opponents. Four Warriors Come out of the Sky Drag Strip and his team formed Menasor to fight their Autobot counterparts, but were steamrolled by the might and firepower of the Battleship Maximus. Transporting back to Earth, they attempted to interfere with Hot Rod's quest for the Matrix. Drag Strip and the Stunticons were confronted by the Aerialbots in the desert, but the battle of their combiner forms eventually led them to the Arctic. The Mystery of Planet Master

When Vector Sigma began perfecting the new super-metal Cybertonuron on Cybertron, Galvatron ordered another all-out attack on the planet to seize the metal for the Decepticons before the Autobots could make use of it. Drag Strip and the Stunticons journeyed to Cybertron with the strike force, and confronted their old enemies, the Aerialbots. The Aerialbots got the drop on Drag Strip's group by forming Superion and lashing out before the Stunticons could form Menasor as well. Cybertron Is in Grave Danger, Part 1 Drag Strip and the Stunticons were still in a firefight sometime later, as Chromedome passed by looking for Mindwipe and the Decepticon Headmasters. Cybertron Is in Grave Danger, Part 2 In San Francisco, Drag Strip and the Stunticons assisted Bruticus in using a carnivorous plant to distract the Autobots from Scorponok's plans on Zarak. They fought against the Technobots and Computron. Head On!! Fortress Maximus

Sometime later, Drag Strip and the Stunticons gathered in the desert as their Ninja Commander Sixshot began issuing orders. They assembled as Menasor, and took part in the escalating Decepticon war effort as five separate Autobot outposts were attacked simultaneously at Sixshot's command. The Emperor of Destruction Vanishes on an Iceberg Drag Strip was also among the Decepticons who assembled to welcome Scorponok as their new Emperor of Terror following Galvatron's fall. I Risk My Life for Earth
Generation 1
noteukonly
Drag Strip and the Stunticons, along with the other Special Teams, were first conceived within Buster Witwicky's mind shortly after the human had relinquished control of the Creation Matrix to Optimus Prime. Shockwave was able to view this data remotely and prepare for their development. Second Generation!

Upon learning that the cerebro-shell implanted in Optimus Prime had also granted them access to the powers of the Creation Matrix, Megatron and Soundwave immediately built a team of Decepticons. The new Stunticons, which included Drag Strip, were sent to find the Autobot Skids, who had earned new trust for the Autobots by publicly saving a human. After Drag Strip and the others knocked over every car in their way to get to Skids, they turned to "protect" him from the new Aerialbots, hoping to confuse the public and discredit the Autobots. Drag Strip combined with his fellow Stunticons to form Menasor, and they fought the Aerialbots' Superion. Heavy Traffic!

Drag Strip and the other Stunticons watched in horror as Megatron bludgeoned Motormaster with a boulder for suggesting that he might need their assistance in defeating Optimus Prime. Prey!

Megatron gathered Drag Strip and the rest of the Stunticons before him to escort him in gun mode to Florida, where they would be air-lifted to the Decepticons' new island headquarters. In the wake of the death of Optimus Prime, Megatron's paranoia had grown so great that Drag Strip and the others left their leader behind to deal with a random human truck. Gone but Not Forgotten! After Megatron's apparent demise, Drag Strip stood by while his new commander, Shockwave, spoke to Ratbat on Cybertron about the temporary use of Trypticon on Earth. King of the Hill!

Drag Strip was at Shockwave's side when the Decepticon leader suffered an embarrassment at the hands of Galvatron, part of a successful ploy by Galvatron to alienate Shockwave's troops. Enemy Action!

During a battle on the Moon between Blaster and Grimlock for command of the combined Earth/Nebulos Autobot forces, recently-promoted Decepticon commander Ratbat orchestrated a surprise assault on both groups. Motormaster led Drag Strip and the entire Earth-based Decepticon army from their space-faring Decepticon headquarters. But when Blaster and Grimlock noticed the ambush, they teamed up and turned the tide against the Decepticons. Drag Strip was defeated by a shot from Grimlock's missile launchers, and after many casualties, the Decepticons were forced to retreat. Totaled!

Ratbat moved their space-traveling island base back to Earth's seas, where it became a human travel resort to smokescreen the Decepticons' efforts to locate a key to finding the powerful Underbase. Drag Strip was advertised on television as part of the island's smiling welcoming party. The Autobots sent Blaster and Jessie to rescue Buster Witwicky, and Jessie was able to sneak into the Decepticons' base and past Drag Strip and Vortex (who were telling jokes to each other) to find Buster. Club Con! After the Decepticons found what they were looking for, Drag Strip was seen escorting Buster Witwicky back to his cell. The Flames of Boltax!
Earthforce
earthforcefiction
Back in action on Earth, Drag Strip and his Stunticon partner Dead End began working for a faction of Decepticons led by Megatron. Megatron had created an ozone-warping rocket, designed to trap heat in the atmosphere which could be tapped for a new source of energy, even though it would virtually destroy all life on Earth. Their plan was interrupted by two Autobots, Wheeljack and Prowl. Starting Over! While Wheeljack kept the Stunticons busy, Prowl leapt onto the rocket itself, his weight knocking it off course and causing it to crash before it reached the apex point in the atmosphere it was meant to travel to. Drag Strip and Dead End raced to the crashsite, hoping to retrieve the atmospheric poisons Megatron had loaded it with. At the fallen rocket, however, they ran into Runabout and Runamuck, who were interested in securing the equipment for their commander, Shockwave. The four Decepticons began to tussle, little realizing Prowl had already snuck away and neutralized the cannisters. Life in the Slow Lane

Later on, when the Decepticons attacked the Autobot Earthbase, Drag Strip is seen charging into battle in robot mode for some reason, even though the Battlechargers and his fellow Stunticons are all racing forward in vehicle mode. Divide and Conquer! When the Decepticons needed to kidnap the Autobots' human ally, Irwin Spoon, Drag Strip and the Stunticons ran interference for Motormaster so that he could get away with the human stored inside his cab. After Breakdown took himself out of action, though, only Drag Strip and Dead End were left to stop Bumblebee and Tracks from catching up with their leader. The two Stunticons raced up onto the rear bumpers of their foes, only to be caught off guard when the Autobots suddenly broke away, sending the Decepticon cars hurtling into the back wheels of their own boss, Motormaster, knocking all of them off the road. {{storylink|End of the Road! =====Marvel UK future timelines=====
In 2003, Ravage uncovered information about a new city the Autobots were planning to build, and sent the Stunticons out to intercept Kup, who was carrying the schematics to their human allies. Demonstrating the same skills that earned them high honors in Skywarp's "Schoolyard-Bullying 101" seminar, Drag Strip and the Stunticons ganged up on the wily old Autobot and demanded <strike>his lunch money</strike> the data disk. Kup was relatively willing to give it up (the disk was, after all, a fake), but Drag Strip still had two of his buddies grab the Autobot's arms so's he could get in a few gutshots for good measure. And, to make a good day even better, a few minutes later Drag Strip and his cronies got to beat up Hot Rod too! Ark Duty
After the war officially ended on Klo, Drag Strip was one of the handful of Bludgeon's Decepticons who scattered to the far corners of the universe. He, Overkill, and Acid Storm were waiting on a dusty planet when Springer's rogue team of Autobots attempted to hunt them down. At Fight's End
Dreamwave comics continuity
At some point in Cybertron's recent history, the Stunticons were deemed psychotic and too dangerous to function in society, and as a result were placed into perpetual stasis lock inside of a prison facility. Later, in an attempt to create a diversion while he set his final plans in motion, Shockwave arranged for the release of the Stunticons. They formed into Menasor and ran amok for awhile, until Ultra Magnus arrived and began insulting them. Unable to reconcile with this, the five Stunticons began to bicker with each other over whose fault it was that they were failing, temporarily stopping Menasor and allowing Ultra Magnus to ram the combiner in the chest, forcing him to separate into his component parts and disabling the Stunticons. Passive Aggression
Devil's Due G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers comics
Along with many other Transformers, the Stunticons were transported into Earth's past when Teletran 3 went wild. Ending up in 1930's Chicago, Drag Strip was deactivated and locked into the form of a '30s car, which was fairly sporty for the time but not nearly as fast as his usual race car mode. He and the other Stunticons were briefly used for organized crime by a group of humans, until a group of G.I. Joes and Cobra members showed up to bring them back to the future. As soon as Drag Strip was awakened from his car mode, however, he and his comrades starting chasing after the humans and their Autobot friend. The chase ended when the humans found and activated the lost Motormaster, which allowed all the time-travelers to return to the future. G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers II issue 2

The Stunticons later joined Serpent O.R.'s Decepticon army and helped him capture a team of Autobots and G.I. Joes. As Menasor, they then participated in an attack on an Autobot peace ceremony. The Art of War issue 3 Drag Strip was later seen preparing to defend the Decepticon headquarters from a combined Autobot G.I./Joe assault. The Art of War issue 4
IDW comics continuity
ongoing
Before the war, Drag Strip was a professional racer, with over six thousand victories under his belt thanks to his ruthless nature. He got involved with Megatron when the miner-turned-gladiator began to make a name for himself, and as a result, the Autobot Outback tried to assassinate him prior to a race against Blurr. Drag Strip's life was saved by Ironhide, a race track security guard. Iron in the Blood

When Megatron launched his brutal rebellion, Drag Strip participated in the battle of Kaon alongside Dead End, defending themselves against Sentinel Prime and his Apex Armor. Megatron Origin issue 4

Centuries later, Drag Strip was among the Decepticons who had been left behind following the Decepticon retreat from Earth. Along with several other Decepticons, he helped rescue Thundercracker, who referred to him as an "idiotic Stunticon" in return. Jerk. Seasons in Flight Led by Swindle, Drag Strip and the other abandoned Decepticons attacked Omega Supreme, until Swindle suggested that they team up with the Autobots with the goal of getting off the planet instead. New Arrivals, Old Encounters

A while later, Drag Strip and Wildrider were sent to retrieve Breakdown, the only Stunticon missing from the group. They found him in the hands of Spike Witwicky and began attacking him (he could always be repaired after the human was squished). Spike fought back, punturing one of Drag Strip's tires, but the Stunticons eventually won and took Breakdown back to their starship-building site. There, they revealed that Swindle had modified them into combiners, and attacked their former Autobot allies in the form of Menasor. Enemies of the System

Swindle's hasty application of the combiner technology did not properly integrate the personalities of the Stunticons, leaving them arguing amongst themselves while combined. The Autobots managed to distract and overwhelm Menasor by targeting his components individually, bringing the gestalt down. Drag Strip and many of his comrades were taken into custody by Skywatch. Earthworks
Drag Strip would sooner die a miserable death than ever sacrifice a victory, as he thrives on the bragging rights which accompany first place.

Drag Strip and the Stunticons decided to have a little fun and tear up a baseball stadium in Japan. Luckily, the Autobots' plucky young ally Kenji was present to radio for assistance.
====Generation 1====

Ark Duty

Centuries later, Drag Strip was among the Decepticons who had been left behind following the Decepticon retreat from Earth.

Drag Strip and many of his comrades were taken into custody by Skywatch. Earthworks
Galvatron
So in ASM's Q&A response, Hasbro pretty much officially says to consider Galvatron a separate character from Megatron for all practical purposes. How do we tackle this? -hx 06:56, 15 September 2010 (EDT)
:I interpret it as saying that in inducting Megatron, Galvatron is not being inducted by connection, since not all Megatrons have become Galvatrons, and some interpretations of Galvatron (like IDW) are separate from Megatron. --NCZ 07:00, 15 September 2010 (EDT)
Excessive Trivia Sections
Ok, a few days ago I attempted to clean up some trivia sections. I realize in hindsight I was tired and being a wanker and was removing valuable information, and I apologize for that. However, I think some of our trivia could definitely stand to be integrated into the articles themselves, especially notes like "This character's Universe toy was..." or "in the Energon comic, so-and so was completely different". I would like to integrate these but I was hoping to get an opinion on this, since I went about it wrong once already. Thoughts? -- Rideonshootingstarxx 12:44, 22 September 2010 (EDT)
:Agreed. The Notes sections (shouldn't be Trivia anymore) are for information that doesn't fit elsewhere. If there is a logical place to put it, move the information there. --Khajidha 12:58, 22 September 2010 (EDT)
Editing Drift's related materials
Actually, this would cover whatever anyone of us have a large dislike of, but yeah. This is a wiki, where we're supposed to be informative and be able to present the info in a fun way. I'm not entirely sure of how objective we can be (humor aside), but the whole kerfluffle on Drift's mini and cameos showing in his mini is making me worried on the attitudes of certain editors that could easily descend into a editing/name-calling/accusation war. --Lonegamer78 21:39, 23 September 2010 (EDT)
:My position is the Wiki doesn't have to be objective, so long as it isn't unreasonable. There are plenty of flaws in Drift and Shane McCarthy's work to poke fun of -- there's no reason to create ones that aren't true.
:I was re-reading Drift #1 and happened to notice he DID suffer damage from those laser blasts while fleeing. I remembered that note on the Wiki joking that he was "laser-proof", so I removed it. I also posted on the Talk page explaining why. Detour restored the Note several times anyway, even though it was false as written. He eventually tried to re-write it, adding something about Deadlock surviving blasts that blew off Jetstorm's head earlier. Nowhere in the comic did Jetstorm's head get blown off. Drench's did, notCarnivac's did, but Jetstorm was fine. It just shows that Detour doesn't care about being accurate so long as he's not giving an inch on anything Anti-McCarthy on the Wiki.
:So really -- can't we be better than that? --Xaaron 22:05, 23 September 2010 (EDT)
::Well, I'm pretty sure I've said this before, but I really think Detour shouldn't be allowed to edit anything connected to McCarthy. And I'm pretty much branded an irrational anti-McCarthy troll on the IDW boards, so I think this is saying something. I'm first in line to complain when he deserves it, this sort of stuff is just petty and weakens the valid criticism by association. - Cattleprod 22:25, 23 September 2010 (EDT)
External Links
Similar to the whole business of changing all the "Trivia" sections into "Notes" sections, this is just a heads up for anyone who wants to chip in for a mundane task: if you ever see a link to TFU.info (or a similar toy site) in the External Links section of a character's page, relocating it to that character's Toys section would be super-awesome. (And if the External Links section subsequently becomes empty, get rid of it.) I wouldn't really describe this as a task with much urgency behind it, but it will make characters' pages look consistent, and consistency looks nice. It's really a minor edit that's easy and quick to do, and I'd appreciate some help in this fiasco. An example of how this is supposed to look like can be found at Optimus Primal's toy section. == McAfee SiteAdvisor review rating this site incorrectly ==

As a countermeasure to viruses on the net, I have a special version of McAfee that has this widget-type thing that gives me ratings on the security of certain websites. I have noticed that this website was recently given a big, fat red "X" rating, showing that this website contains malware and other things, all because of one single rating that the reviewer said he did not like this website. He did not say this was a malware site, but the system apparently decided to take one person's personal opinion and rate this site as a horrible website so every time I go in, I get this asininely huge message saying "MCAFEE HAS TESTED THIS SITE AND FOUND IT TO BE BLAH BLAH BLAH".

I don't think that just one siteadvisor reviewer (myself) can turn around that rating. Sure, a website can be full of people with questionable morals and values, but that has no reflection on the security of the website. Can I have a little help here?
It's there because that's where the joke originated, and the comic's funny. Just because there's a link in a caption doesn't mean it's a deliberate attempt at explaining a joke. Look around and you'll see plenty of other captions with such links within them. --Detour 12:17, 29 September 2010 (EDT)
*ahem* I noted that the Go boxes for Dan Reed and Andy Wildman both show Megatron. I don't know if that's intentional, but maybe we should follow that pattern for all the other artists? A close-up shot of Megatron's face, preferably one that capture their style as much as possible in the way that Reed's image is of a demonic, melty looking Megs, and Wildman's shows a mouth-agog spitting Megs. They are here to separate character articles. "(Universe)" performs that function perfectly fine and old characters appearing in other franchises do not affect disambiguation. But all 100+ characters and as many hours of fiction? No. The Almanac's 25-years-after-the-fact out-of-universe retcons notwithstanding, GoBots and Robotix have nothing to do with Transformers. Jeeper Creeper never appeared in any Transformers fiction, never interacted with any Transformers characters, is completely unrelated to any and all Transformers concepts, and does not belong on a Transformers wiki. I think it speaks volumes that like 11 months after people voted "oh yeah, we'll start a GB wiki too" actually nothing has been done. There's very little knowledge, interest, or drive behind the topic. And there are probably five or six orders of magnitude less knowledge, interest, or drive behind Robotix. Including them would demean and dilute everything we've put together here and the interests that led us to try to put it together in the first place. Almost none of the characters and events from GoBots, and none whatsoever from Robotix, have ever appeared under the Hasbro label and thus are not official TF product, and will never be appropriate for inclusion here under these conditions. The ones that have actually existed within TF qualifying conditions--about 8 GoBots from about 3 stories plus some background easter eggs--are already here. Adding in every other GoBot because "they're a team" would be no less absurd than adding in every single Marvel superhero that never appeared in Transformers, just to match up with the small handful of Marvel superheroes who did appear in Transformers and are already here. ==Junkions==
I want to tackle the Junkion character articles one of these days, but after attempting to write the first two, I figure I need some advice on how to deal with the loose definition of a Junkion character. Most Junkion models represent multiple characters that are discernable either only because they stand next to each other in one shot/panel or because they have different colors, and then one still wouldn't know which color represents the "character" as named in TCA (don't have the book, but I doubt it contained colored versions of the Junkion models). Then there's models that were used for non-Junkions, most of which are pretty clearly not the same character, but some, like hood Transformer and pole vault Transformer, are ambiguous. So, what'd like help on is an idea how to write character articles on characters that are not defined as characters. Geewunling 05:00, 8 November 2010 (EST)
Redirects with parentheses
An issue came up on the Talk:Dead End (Prime) page that should be discussed more widely. The modern continuity Dead End is actually spelled "Deadend". There is a Movie character who was called "Deadend" in a novel, but his actual page is at "Jolt (Movie)". Should the modern continuity Deadend be at "Deadend" or should it be at "Deadend (Prime)" since there is another character named "Deadend"?

I think "Deadend" may be a bad example since it may be considered just a mistake in the novel and end up an exception to the rule. But what about as a general policy? The question boils down to if there should be alternate name redirects with disambiguation parentheses. Examples: "Rodimus Prime (G1)" => "Hot Rod (G1)" , "Orion Pax (G1) => "Optimus Prime (G1)" , "Tankor (G1) => "Octane" , "Axalon (Animated)" => "Alpha Supreme".

The arguments against using redirects with parentheses are that users will never use them and that they clutter up the search drop down box, potentially dropping off entries with actual pages.

The arguments for using redirects with parentheses are that they appear in the search drop down box and the user could go directly to the article they want. Also, if there are missing entries in the drop down box, that seems like missing information. Example, typing in "Axalon" drops down the terms "Axalon" "Axalon (Armada)" "Axalon (BW)" and "Axalon (disambiguation)" but no "Axalon (Animated)". It could escape the user's notice that there is even is an Axalon in Animated. If it was there, the user might be like, "Oh, cool, there was an Axalon in Animated." <click>

My opinion is that the potential for dropping off actual pages from the search box is a good argument. But I really like the alternate names to show up. Could the search box be made bigger? - Starfield 12:10, 18 November 2010 (EST)

:Hm, I just posted over at Tornado (Marvel) about this kind of thing, then saw this. I think it has to be looked at on a case-by-base basis, but for some reason all the Skyscorchers have redirects from their European names (even though we don't do this for Japanese names, do we?) leaving a whole bunch of flashing links across the wiki. Surely we could cut that out? --Emvee 13:58, 18 November 2010 (EST) [edit] Just had the Skyschorchers' situation explained to me over at Tornado's page...that's probably a separate issue of its own. --Emvee 14:08, 18 November 2010 (EST)

: While I can see both sides, I'm not sure the purpose of the search box is to alert people to things they didn't know about. Its purpose is to help people find what they're specifically looking for. Leave the "informative" functionality to the disambig page. JW 15:36, 18 November 2010 (EST)

::But what if I'm specifically looking for the Animated Axalon? Without the redirect, I type "Axalon" and it's not in the list that drops down. Maybe I hit enter and go to the disambig page and see it there, or maybe I assume the page for it doesn't exist yet. --abates 16:51, 18 November 2010 (EST)
:::Is it technically impossible to have redirects be shoved to the bottom of the search box list, thus not "cluttering it up", but still having them appear? Mammalian Verisimilitude 19:22, 18 November 2010 (EST)

::::I simply think that every valid name for a character should have a redirect to the appropriate article because that article should be in that location as well. I'm not sure why the various Animated Supremes had their starship name redirects deleted, or why there is no redirect from "Rodimus (G1)". As abates said not having at least a redirect from Axalon (Animated) could lead to the impression of a lack of data, having the redirect shows that the data exists and where to find it.--Khajidha 08:33, 19 November 2010 (EST)
Double clutch's ball joints for example or animated arcee's thumbs. Wouldn't be a definitive list by any means but more of a reference list for collectors whose figure just broke becuase of a common design flaw rather than the handling of the figure.
Double Clutch is a long-time expert on using diversions to confuse and disrupt Decepticon activities, and it's all thanks to his Rallybots. The drones under his command are fast and noisy enough to disrupt enemy optical and audio sensors, and also have a variety of built-in electronic countermeasures that can really mess up Decepticon tactics.
Power Core Combiners
*Double Clutch with Rallybots (Commander Class, 2010)

: Part of the second wave of Power Core Combiners 5-Packs, Double Clutch is a Scout-sized muscle car of undetermined model. He can also transform into a super-mode torso, which uses Power Core Combiner drones for limbs. He comes with four Rallybot drones, which automatically transform from vehicle to limb using Automorph Technology when clipped onto Double Clutch. When detached, they transform back to vehicle mode. Thanks to the universal connection peg system used, he can use any other Power Core Combiner drone as a limb.

:Several design flaws have unfortunately plagued Double Clutch: an exceptionally loose torso-mode head is but the least of these, as floppy elbow ball joints and ill-fitting pegs on his forearms leave his torso mode shoulder assemblies very loose and unable to stay pegged in place as the drones are attached.

:Later releases have not one, not two, but four minor retools to deal with these issues. The troublesome torso mode pegs that plagued earlier releases have been substantially thickened, somewhat dealing with but not entirely eliminating the looseness problem. The pegs that hold his torso mode's head plate on to the chest have been lengthened and the awkward slots they once fit into switched to holes, although once again this does not entirely fix the problem. The fin that slots in place to form the lower torso has been retooled to have an angled edge on the end, so it no longer wiggles and resets the entire upper body when touched. Whew.

:They've done nothing to deal with the fact that forcing the legs into the necessary tabs on the main body to lock them in place for torso mode will eventually cause so much stress that it will break the leg's ball joint clean off. Good luck supergluing it back on as well.
