Megatron
:Megatron is a Cybertronic religious figure from the Beast Era portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Megatron is a dreaded figure in the Covenant of Primus, an apocalyptic figure that threatens to shatter the fabric of time and defeats great heroes. But nobody in real life could be that dangerous, right?

Fiction
Beast Wars cartoon
Covenant scripture quotes Megatron as declaring himself "alpha and omega: the beginning and the end": "that which is, which was, and is yet to come". For some unspecified reason, Megatron was out to lay vengeance upon the people he is talking to, declaring they'd damn well know he's Megatron when he did it. Something akin to a great mountain raging with fire would arise from the sea at his command, and unspecified figures "who live and war as beasts" would face their final hour as their hiding places were torn apart.

The earthly plane would be ravaged and so would the very fabric of time, with Megatron aiming to take control of it, and so a great hero would emerge to stand against the monster. "But the hero would not prevail; nor would he surrender."

A possibly related verse talks of a divine warrior casting out "the great dragon" and his followers.

A Predacon criminal would name himself Megatron after reading these datatrax. Oddly enough, he would go on to commit acts that seemed exactly like the scripture! Nemesis Part 1 Nemesis Part 2

Notes
* The scripture about Megatron is based on scripture from English translations of the Bible. The "vengeance" line is specifically based on a paraphrase from Pulp Fiction.

*Onyx Primal uses the same paraphrase from Pulp Fiction as a basis for his motto.

*It is possible that the Original Megatron took his name from this character, as well (retroactively, of course).

*See also "Megatronus Prime" (The Fallen under another name), a similar but distinct character.
