The Nekomimis attended a real-world cafeteria at the same time as the Jones family, who were present there for a meal.
Nekomimis A and B reappeared within a video game-cum-virtual battle training simulator used by the Autobots. The duo acted as announcers and referees for a series of tournament fights held between the Autobots at a low point during their war for energon, which included digital clones of the deceased and the previous bodies of characters who had been upgraded, as well as several Decepticons, who hacked into the system in order to join the fun.
Nekomimi B seemed to be infatuated with Hot Shot, calling him "dreamy" twice. However, perhaps changing her mind after witnessing Galvatron's brutal takedown of Demolishor and Snow Cat, she joined Nekomimi B in calling Hot Shot "dreamy" near the end of the tournament.
Following Hot Shot and Rodimus's victory by ring-out against Optimus Supreme in the final round, Nekomimi A and Nekomimi B presented the winning team with trophies—shortly before they announced that Hot Shot and Rodimus would now take on the "special guest fighter", a pint-sized virtual incarnation of Unicron. Venom and his Insecticon forces were in charge of an oil-mining operation on the Pacific Rim island of Buru. Having enslaved the natives with their special venom, they patrolled the island to make sure that no Autobots interfered with the operation. Venom refused Megatron's orders to pump faster, saying it was impossible. When Megatron arrived on his oil transporter to speed up the drilling operations, Venom boarded the vessel to meet with the Decepticon leader. He freaked out Megatron by just staring at him in total silence, leaving Megatron and Soundwave to whisper and speculate what he might be thinking.
8.2 million years ago, Venom participated in Shockwave's assault on Iacon. The War Within issue 3 He presumably retreated with the rest of the Decepticons when Starscream activated the planetary engines, devastating the city.

After the fragmentation of the Decepticon forces following Megatron's seeming destruction in a space bridge accident, Venom joined Ratbat's Ultracons. He accompanied Ratbat and fellow Ultracons Chop Shop and Ransack on a mission to the Tagan Heights, where they unleashed the deadly Devastator on the Wreckers. Later, Venom, Chop Shop, and Barrage were involved in an altercation with Ultra Magnus, Blaster and Grimlock. Venom also accompanied his leader to the Autobot/Decepticon peace ceremony at Tyger Pax. The Age of Wrath issue 1
Venom, along with Barrage, Chop Shop, and Ransack, remained on Cybertron following the departure of the Ark and the Nemesis. The planet's chronic energon shortage reduced them to a vampiric existence, forcing them to capture Micromasters and drain them of their fuel. While pursuing Falcon and Flanker in the Wastelands, they ran into the middle of a conflict between the Hot Rod Patrol and Race Track Patrol. Destined for Nothing
After devouring Falcon, they soon set upon the other Micromasters, but were driven back by the timely arrival of Groundshaker, who left with the Hot Rod Patrol. The subsequent arrival of Shockwave prevented them from devouring the Race Track Patrol, but Shockwave did surreptitiously toss them Flanker as a snack once the others had left. The Gray Race The Insecticons subsequently abducted the Race Track Patrol and several other Micromasters from Little Iacon in an attempt to ferret out the Hot Rod Patrol and gain some new recruits in the process. Venom berated Chop Shop after the latter accidentally snatched Road Hugger, accusing him of trying to undermine the mission. As Venom attempted to persuade his captives to join the Decepticons, he ordered Barrage to blast Blaze Master as a show of force. Taking his captives and recruits back to Decepticon HQ, Venom passed along a communique from Shockwave (actually a disguised Skystalker) to Barricade and his teammates, summoning them to his quarters. Recipe for Hate While attempting to stop an invasion force of Micromasters from freeing their comrades, Venom was skewered by a revived Blaze Master. Victims of the Revolution
: Venom is a green and orange redeco of Armored Insect Battalion Beetras Beet-Zeguna and transforms into a robotic cicada. He comes with a small blaster and an axe, and is one of the few Deluxe Insecticons whose arms actually let him aim either in any useful manner.

::*More information on Venom at TFU.info

Notes
* Venom, like all of the Deluxe Insecticons, was designed and originally produced by Takatoku Toys for inclusion in their Armored Insect Battalion Beetras toyline (機甲虫隊ビートラス). Decoed in black and brown, the mold first saw release under the name Beet-Zeguna. Takatoku Toys went out of business a short while later in 1984, and their assets were purchased by fellow Japanese toymaker Bandai. At that time, Bandai was exclusively active on the Japanese market and so was a competitor of Takara, but not of Hasbro. Due to this, the company had no objection to licensing various Takatoku molds to Hasbro in 1985 for sale in the Western markets as part of their version of the The Transformers toyline. But since nowadays Bandai has claimed its share of the Western market and only licensed the molds back then, there is little likelihood that Venom and company will ever be put up for reissue.
* Since Hasbro and Takara shared the Generation 1 cartoon as promotional material for their respective versions of the toyline, Venom and the other Deluxe Insecticons were not included in its cast to avoid giving Japanese market-competitor Bandai free publicity. The group was also omitted from the US Marvel comics and barely appeared in the UK Marvel comics, making them the least "successful" of the Takatoku molds. This trend has continued in fiction since, the team's current highlight being their role in the Micromasters comics.
* Because of the Deluxe Insecticons' regular absence from fiction, Venom has rarely acted as leader of the whole Insecticon group. Instead, the more prominently appearing Insecticon trio usually seems to be rather communal in leadership, though Shrapnel often gets to be in a leadership position of sorts. Venom is keeping an eye on him.
* Real cicadas have no venom. They don't even bite or sting. They're just noisy. Which fits Venom just fine.
* Venom has shown no evidence in any fiction of a desire to eat your brains.

Presumably during the "middle years", Straxus gained rule over Polyhex as Lord High Governor. From Darkmount, he practiced ruthless control over his domain with the support of some of the most skilled Decepticons: Ramjet, Dirge, Thrust, Kickback, Bombshell, Shrapnel, Octane, Astrotrain, Blitzwing and Ratbat. In response to the dwindling energy reserves of Cybertron, Straxus issued a campaign to hunt down the region's Neutrals, the Empties, to have them melted down for raw materials in the smelting pool. Harvester units were employed to fetch and transport the (not necessarily dead) bodies the Decepticons shot down.

In Earth year 1985, Blaster saved one Empty when he was waiting for Scrounge in the Dead End, the Empties' home. Scrounge meanwhile had infiltrated Darkmount in search for the abducted neutral scientist Spanner and obtained information that the Ark crew lost four million years ago was still alive and on Earth. Trying to reach Blaster, Scrounge was captured in the Dead End by Shrapnel and on orders of Straxus thrown into the smelting pool. Blaster, with the assistance of the rest of the Polyhex Autobase, came looking for him there based on information acquired from one of the Empties that had witnessed Scrounge's capture. He found him, but though Scrounge could pass on the information, he could not be saved anymore. The Smelting Pool! Spanner had been abducted in order to build a space bridge for Straxus' troops to be able to travel to Earth. Additionally, Straxus had gone so far as to have the space bridge constructed from the scientist's own body. This last fact was unknown to the Autobots when they decided they had to destroy the device. Blaster was assigned to plant explosives on the space bridge and blow it up while Perceptor and the others would distract the Decepticons by digging their way to Darkmount's power supply chamber and blowing the fortress up from the inside. Perceptor's group was succesful, but Blaster had been taken aback when he learned the space bridge was alive and hesitated too long. The Decepticons came to stop him, followed by the Autobots who came to rescue him. In the subsequent fight, the Autobots ended up on Earth, the Decepticons remained stuck on Cybertron, Straxus was seemingly destroyed and the space bridge needed extensive repairs to be used again. The Bridge to Nowhere!

Some time after, the Wreckers, a group of Autobots that operated from the nearby Iacon, initiated a plan called Operation: Volcano that was designed to result in the destruction of Polyhex's deadliest Decepticons. The operation was kicked in motion when the Autobots leaked false information to a rotten element within their ranks and tricked him into Polyhex, where he was discovered by Shrapnel. As expected, he handed the Insecticon the information in exchange for his life. Futily so, but the bait that would goad the Decepticon targets to Iacon territory had been cast. Roadbuster, who had followed the traitor to Polyhex, reported back on the first phase's success. Ten cycles later, the trap was about to close on the Decepticons when suddenly they received a communicube from Megatron. He ordered them to return to Polyhex immediately, prepare the space bridge and sent the Insecticons to Earth pronto, thus unknowingly saving their lives. Target: 2006

Notes
*Polyhex was introduced in the Marvel comics as a province rather than a city-state. This was before the concept of city-states was brought forth in the Marvel and other continuities, so make of it what you will.
*Polyhex was the second city and generally named area on Cybertron put in the canon, preceded only by the Autobot capital Iacon. This made it the first Decepticon specific region ever written about and as such it shone in the early Marvel comics next to Iacon, though it was passed by as its Decepticon equivalent by first Helex, then sort of Kolkular and since the Dreamwave comics, Kaon. Shattered Glass is the only continuity to return to the Iacon vs. Polyhex idea.
*Polyhex is also the name used by WaywardInsecticon in her webcomic, Insecticomics. To find said comics, please go up to your search bar and type in either Insecticomics or locust porn. The latter is not a joke. It really works.

Do find said comics, please go up to your search bar and type in either Insecticomics or locust porn. The latter is not a joke. It really works.
