==Synopsis==

By himself, Demolishor grumpily cleans up the [[Decepticon]]'s base after Starscream's rampage. Turning around, Demolishor is surprised to see Starscream standing right behind him, and drops some of the items he was carrying on his own foot. Demolishor is introduced to Starscream's new running crew: The [[Autobots]]. Demolishor activates the alarm.

The Autobots and Decepticons meet in Megatron's throne room. Megatron fires the [[Requiem Blaster]] at the Starscream, but Smokescreen blocks the shot with the [[Skyboom Sheild]]. A bright light from the impact fills the room, blinding the Autobots long enough for Megatron to retreat, leaving his troops behind to finish the battle. The Autobots and Decepticons engage in battle with each other (with Sideswipe attempting to take on Tidal Wave on his own). While Starscream is blinded by his vengence, Laserbeak and Hot Shot are assigned to locate Perceptor.

Perceptor runs Jerry away from Demolishor's Tom. When Demolishor backs Perceptor into a corner, Laserbeak flies into Demolisher's face just long enough to ruin Demolishor's aim. While the Decepticon stumbles about, Hot Shot arrives to punch Demolishor down. Perceptor runs ahead and finds himself in an encounter with Tidal Wave, and again Hot Shot comes to the Mini-Con's rescue. But because of Tidal Wave's power and size, Hot Shot has more difficulty taking the Decepticon down. Perceptor leaves.

Perceptor finds all his captured Mini-Con brothers - in an hidden underground facility where they're being put to work to assemble a gigantic spaceship. PErceptor has some blippy dialogue with the other Mini-Cons, when Megatron attacks. When Perceptor is grasped by the neck, the Mini-Cons begin one of their irregular chants, like the one played when the Requiem Blaster was first formed. The Minis all stop working on the space ship and surround an annoyed Megatron. When Megatron attempts to punish the insolent machines, Hot Shot attacks, covering the Mini-Con's escape. Tidal Wave arrives just in time to watch Megatron and Hot Shot race out, but Smokescreen shows up to keep Tidal Wave company.

Side Swipe and Perceptor guide all the emancipated Mini-Cons through the Decepticon's warp gate, to the Autobot base.

Megatron and Hot Shot continue to battle. Megatron is about to finally deactivate the Autobot, but Starscream slices Megatron's canon off. Against both Hot Shot and Starscream, Megatron falls. With the Mini-Cons safe, Optimus calls his forces to return back to the Autobot base, but Starscream would rather stay to finish off Megatron. Starscream agrees to return with the Autobots - but is left feeling upset about it.

==Synopsis==

Wheeljack fires a shot into Hot Shot's chest at close range, to finalize his switch to the [[Decepticons]]. His business for the day concluded, Wheeljack vanishings, leaving an injured Hot Shot wondering how his friend could have made such a dramatic turn for the worse. Unable to cope with the trauma, he blacks out.

Hot Shot wakes up in the [[Autobot]]'s infirmary, having been brought back to the Autobot's base by Sideswipe. Wondering how he could have been so betrayed, Hot Shot tries to recall the last time he saw Wheeljack.

''On a fiery battlefield on [[Cybertron]], Wheeljack is left held down while Hot Shot runs to get some help to help lift the debris. But after getting out of the blaze, Hot Shot's superior refuses to allow Hot Shot to return. Ignoring his superior's orders and threats, Hot Shot runs back into the fire, but passes out from the heat. Later, he wakes up alone''.

Optimus reveals to Blurr that he knew about Hot Shot losing his friend, which is why Hot Shot was one of the troops chosen to come to Earth. Back in the infirmary, Side Swipe tries to convince Hot Shot to forgive himself, even if Wheeljack won't. Trying to collect his thoughts, Hot Shot drives out on his own, and runs into Thrust.

Wheeljack and Hot Shot meet up at an abandoned industrial station. Wheeljack relates the Transformer's obsession with wars to the human's own tendency to wage wars. The two battle, but Hot Shot shows an initial reluctance to fight back. When Wheeljack draws his weapon, Hot Shot offers to let Wheeljack execute him with no resistance. Sideswipe interferes, and a failed attempt to save Hot Shot sets the industrial complex on fire. Wheeljack laughs and takes advantage of the situation by abducting Sideswipe. As Wheeljack carries Side Swipe into the inferno, he mockingly suggests Hot Shot saves his sidekick.

Hot Shot crawls through the burning factory looking for his friend. Thrust tries to play a part in Wheeljack's grudge match, but Wheeljack blasts the Decepticon jet away - revealing his own location to Hot Shot. Working his way through the flames and metal, Hot Shot locates and frees Side Swipe. The two barely manage to get away as the container Side Swipe was set on explodes. Meanwhile, Wheeljack encounters Megatron.

On the moon, Wheeljack pledges his loyalty to the Decepticon family.

At the Autobot base, Side Swipe declares himself "like family" to Hot Shot and chases Hot Shot for hugs. The other kids have a laugh at Alexis becoming too attached to the video game she learned to play from Billy and Fred.

One fine day on the moon. Sideways manipulates, Starscream evaluates. Cyclonus snore, Megatron roar. You'll always have Demolishor!

Alone on [[moon (moon)|the moon]], Sideways makes note that Megatron's insufficient leadership is the key to the [[Decepticons|Decepticon's]] recent string of losses - something that must be fixed if Sideways is to keep the conflict active. As he records, he gazes up to the sky, to a dark region of deep space devoid of stars.

Soon afterwards, Megatron and the other Decepticons return from battle, called back by Sideways who claims to be suffering from damages in his leg. Megatron is unimpressed and annoyed, and even more annoyed when practically in mid-sentence, Cyclonus takes a nap.

When Starscream arrives, Megatron brutalizes and belittled Starscream as punishment for failing during battle (even though he was only obediently operating under direct orders from Megatron. Demolishor blasts into the room and intervenes, possibly saving Starscream's life. Megatron leaves, and Starscream leaves on his own soon after. After briefly questioning Demolishor about his blind loyalty to Megatron, Sideways heads after Starscream. When even Cyclonus doesn't wake up, and even Megatron is taping a nap in his throne, Demolishor concedes that the Decepticon morale is embarrassing.

Starscream, who accidentally fell down a hill, cries out in an expression of anguish. Sideways, nearby, sympathizes with Starscream about how Megatron is operating without rationalization. Before leaving again, Sideways alludes to a familiar concept: Starscream taking command the Decepticons.

Megatron, hearing from Sideways a different perspective on his disciplinary actions, is manipulated. Sideways escalates the tension between Starscream and Megatron by suggesting Megatron's position is dependant on the possession of the [[Star Saber]].

Starcream, questioning his position, projects his own doubt onto Demolishor and uses that as a re-assurance that they're both soldiers, even if he doesn't know the ideology and purpose to the war he was born into. Demolishor is confused by Starscream's rationalization, and comes to feel that the still napping Cyclonus is the only Decepticon without self-purpose issues.

In a hallway, Starscream has come to disregard his own misgivings and continue to obey Megatron. But Sideways pushes Starscream over the edge with a falsified order he claims to be relaying directly from Megatron. As Starscream storms out to find Megatron, Demolishor wakes Cyclonus so they can prevent the confrontation, but Cyclonus is more interested in being an audience to the bout.

Megatron wagers the Star Saber on his own victory. By the time Cyclonus arrives to watch, Starscream has lost his own sword and is receiving a beat-down from Megatron. Megatron picks Starscream off the ground and re-states what's at stake: Everything. After Megatron's speech, Starscream delivers and uppercut, and follows with several sound blows, getting cheers from Cyclonus. But a blow from Megatron sends Starscream through the air.

As Megatron holds the Star Saber in Starscream's face, and despite his earlier promise, let's Starscream live, flaunting that he knows Starscream's psychological weakness. Sideways, muses that Megatron had victory in his hands, but walked away from it. He saw weakness in Megatron through Starscream, prophesised that one day the Decepticon leader would regret what had happened here it will be his ruin.

The next time the Decepticons enter battle, they fight with a recharged vigor, somehow the conflict coming to a climax on the moon re-established Megatron as a leader, which was beneficial for the rest of the team.

* The animation in this episode shifts from being of high quality (particularly for close ups and certain sequences), to average quality. This is especially evident as Megatron defeats Starscream, going from a high quality shot of Starscream slowly falling to the ground, to a lower-quality shot of him landing.

* As Megatron turns away after this scene, his Decepticon symbols are missing from his shoulders and he is seriously lacking in drawn detail.

* In his opening log entry, Sideways mentions the Autobots having the Star Saber, but Megatron still possesses the Star Saber at the time of this episode.
