''Siren 'assisted' Nightbeat in investigating the death of [[Playback]], narrowly avoid death at the hands of [[Thunderwing (G1)|Thunderwing]] in the process. It was here that the two met Hosehead and made the partnership a trio.''

The three would later take a journey to [[Pz-Zazz]] in search of the lost [[Creation Matrix]]. They failed to find it, but DID manage to get shot in the back and captured by Thunderwing and the [[Mayhem Attack Squad]]. Siren demonstrated remarkable self-control in not talking to Thunderwing while being tortured under a mind-probe. He and his comrades eventually broke free and were instrumental in removing the threat of Thunderwing from the [[Ark]]. *Siren was originally conceived as either an upgrade or homage to [[Red Alert (G1)|Red Alert]]<ref>[[Transformers Generations Deluxe]], p108</ref>. While the robot mode was largely blue unlike Red Alert, it featured a similar head to the early Autobot. The car mode featured a near carbon copy of Red Alert's paint scheme. The Red Alert references were dropped early in the design process.

* For the animation/comic book models, the face/Nebulan and helmet/seat pieces of [[Nightbeat (G1)|Nightbeat]] and Siren were inexplicably switched. (It is difficult to tell for sure, but they may have kept the correct antennae/guns judging by the basic shapes involved.) This switch gave comic book Nightbeat the "shades" he's remembered for, as well as the crest on his forehead, while comic book Siren ended up with his trademark combined brow/nosepiece. How or why this switch happened, and in what stage of development it occurred, is unknown.

When on [[Earth]], a [[Transformer]] typically finds a wide variety of [[human]] vehicles matching their general body plan and size available to adopt as a disguise mode. Although there are many thousands of options available, certain specific models of vehicle, however, are very popular disguises, seeing repeated use across multiple individuals and [[continuity|continuities]].

'''Teletraan-1: The Transformers Wiki''' has certain requirements for a vehicle model to be listed here. There must be at least '''three unique toy molds''' (or in-fiction appearances, in the case of non-toy bodies/characters) that share the model. There must also be at least '''one unique character per mold''': [[Bumblebee (G1)|Generation 1 Bumblebee]] has four unique molds as a Volkswagen Beetle, but the only other characters who also become Beetles are all [[redeco]]s of the first toy. Certain models are "lumped" together, such as the case for the Mazda RX car series, which includes the RX-7 and RX-8 types. :Siren transforms into a grey MKIII Toyota Supra with "Fire chief" decorations. The roof is hinged and can be opened to reveal an interior that his Headmaster unit, Quig, can sit inside of. His head guns can be stored on the hood while his rifle can be plugged onto the roof.

: In robot mode, like all Headmaster toys, Siren has a flip-down panel on his chest which covers a spring-loaded mini-[[Tech Spec|Tech-Spec]]-meter which gives reads for Speed, Strength and Intelligence. The tumblers are activated when Quig (or any other Headmaster unit) is plugged into his neck socket. Quig has Siren's face plainly visible on his back because, as a smaller Headmaster toy, he lacks the flip down panel featured on larger Headmasters.

:The same mold was [[redeco]]ed Japanese [[Headmaster Junior]] [[Shūta Gō]]. A Siren-colored version of Shūta was also offered in Japan via [[robot point]] offer.

*Siren was originally conceived as either an upgrade or homage to [[Red Alert (G1)|Red Alert]]<ref>[[Transformers Generations Deluxe]], p108</ref>. While the robot mode was largely blue unlike Red Alert, it featured a similar head to the early Autobot. The car mode featured a near carbon copy of Red Alert's paint scheme. The Red Alert references were dropped early in the design process.

* For the animation/comic book models, the face/Nebulan and helmet/seat pieces of [[Nightbeat (G1)|Nightbeat]] and Siren were inexplicably switched. (It is difficult to tell for sure, but they may have kept the correct antennae/guns judging by the basic shapes involved.) This switch gave comic book Nightbeat the "shades" he's remembered for, as well as the crest on his forehead, while comic book Siren ended up with his trademark combined brow/nosepiece. How or why this switch happened, and in what stage of development it occurred, is unknown.
