Ravage specializes in infiltration. A frequent partner of Soundwave, he does the dirty work of the larger Decepticon. Ravage's body and armament are all dedicated to hitting the enemy before they even know what hit them. He can be orbitally inserted at fifteen times the speed of sound, spy inside highly secure locations using swarms of microcons, and generally ruin your day. He respects the danger humans present though, as they were the ones who managed to kill Megatron.

Some doubt Ravage's sentience, and there is debate on the degree to which he is a distinct entity, rather than an extension of Soundwave's will. However, he's displayed guile, cunning, and split-second tactical thinking, making it hard for others to believe he does not have some innate intelligence. In reality, Ravage just considers the other Decepticons beneath him, and allows his eerie, silent ways and manner to alienate him from his comrades. Soundwave is the one exception: the two are kindred spirits, understanding each other's true nature and motives.
Ravage was dispatched to NEST's Scotland base to find, interrogate, and kill Skids and Mudflap before they could pass on information about the Decepticon plans. Easily breaking into one of the most secure bases on Earth, he went on to swiftly knock out Sideswipe and attempt to rip into the twins. While they were able to evade him, Ravage shrugged off any attack and finally cornered Mudflap, broadcasting Soundwave's demands to him.

This, however, was a trap the twins had set up, and Ravage found himself trapped in a simulated combat exercise. To escape, he faked unconsciousness and then snuck out the back when nobody was looking. But he made sure to bug the base before he left... Transformers Comic issue 2.4
From his vantage point high in orbit above Earth, Ravage's master Soundwave located the last remaining shard of the AllSpark in a NEST holding facility on Diego Garcia, and dispatched Ravage to retrieve it. Launched from Soundwave's chest, Ravage plummeted through Earth's atmosphere in re-entry mode and impacted just off Diego Garcia's shore, bounding to land in the blink of an eye. Quickly and stealthily, the feline Decepticon knocked several of the base's security sensors offline to cover his approach, then proceeded to vomit a large quantity of small, metallic spheres down a ventilation shaft. Once inside the base, the spheres transformed and combined into "Reedman", who successfully stole the shard and returned to the surface to reunite with Ravage. As the human soldiers attempted stop Reedman, Ravage provided cover fire, killing several humans in the process. The pair then made their escape.

Having secured the shard, Ravage traveled to the Bayos, a human freighter carrying the Constructicons which was passing the area of the sea in which Megatron was buried. After diving over the side of the barge and reaching the bottom where Megatron's body rested, Ravage ejected the Doctor from a compartment in his chest. While the Constructicons began to tear apart the "little one", Ravage was going for a swim, apparently enjoying the water, but quickly ended his little frolic when the Doctor demanded the shard. After the Doctor resurrected Megatron using the AllSpark shard, Ravage and the Constructicons swam up to the surface following their revived leader.

Some time later, Ravage joined the other Decepticons in searching for Sam Witwicky and the Matrix of Leadership amid some Egyptian ruins. The forces of NEST soon arrived, and battle broke out, complicating their search. Spotting Sam, Starscream instructed Rampage to release Ron and Judy Witwicky. Ravage jumped out of the Constructicon when he ejected the fleshlings, and went stalking. Bumblebee managed to get the jump on Rampage, and Ravage in turn jumped on Bumblebee's head, clawing off part of his battle helmet. Unfortunately for Ravage, Bumblebee still had plenty of fight left in him, and he promptly dispatched the killer kitty by tearing out Ravage's own goo-covered spine. Ouch. Revenge of the Fallen (film)
Months after Ravage's death at the hands of Bumblebee, his reconstructed form was brought back on-line in an undisclosed location by a mysterious new master. Subsequently, Ravage appeared outside Guantanamo Bay, searching for a "new target". Ravage snuck in, found the remains of the appliancebots and appropriated them. Ravage lept into the ocean to escape the military, who had located him.

Ravage emerged on a beach near Air Force Base. Though he curled up on the ground to wait for further instructions from his unknown benefactor, he was once again discovered. Ravage destroyed several helicopters before being surrounded by soldiers and jeeps. To bolster his defensive, he unleashed Reedman, and although the smaller robot was eventually taken down, it provided the distraction needed to allow Ravage to escape into a petrochemical plant.

Deciding the relatively subtle approach wasn't working, officials at the White House asked the President of the United States for permission to level the plant. As the explosion engulfed the plant, Ravage tried to conceal himself beneath its foundation. Ravage's attempt to survive was mostly successful; his damaged form was still online, waiting in a pit beneath the rubble for new instructions. The remnants of the smuggled appliancebots reached out to him with streams of energy... Tales of the Fallen issue 5

Shortly after, Soundwave, disturbed by Ravage's reactivation, dispatched a quartet of minions (Buzzsaw, Rumble, Beastbox and Ratbat) to investigate. This soon erupted into a conflict with cleanup crews and Autobot reinforcements, which prompted Soundwave to intervene. Although the battle resulted in several casualities on both sides, Ravage was undisturbed. Nefarious issue 1
Notes
* Ravage and Soundwave were part of an early draft for Transformers. However, when Soundwave was changed to Blackout and the initial jungle setting was replaced with a desert, Ravage was changed to Scorponok.
* As with poor Scorponok, sources differed on how sentient Ravage was. Luckily for Ravage, Hasbro's website outright states him to be a sentient being.
*Whether through misinformation or to hide his identity, the Ravage deluxe figure shows up in the Wal-Mart computers as "TRA DLX WOLF". Of course, they're not the first to make this mistake. However when it scans at a register, it commonly comes up as "TRA MOV PANTHER".
*In the Revenge of the Fallen novelization, Ravage has a flying alternate mode. He flew out to the freighter where the four Constructicons were waiting and transformed on deck. While descending into the ocean, he was described as a sphere, so he might have two alternate modes. (His Burger King toy perhaps?)
* Despite having a red/orange eye in the movie, all the Ravage toys and merchandise have a purple one... until his Legends figure.
* On his blog, Furman said that Ravage's spine-torn death was a late addition to the film... so late that IDW Publishing had already made Ravage a key part of their post-ROTF comics! Quick, to the Rewritemobile!
* Originally, Ravage was intended to also have an aquatic alternate mode, where he swam to Diego Garcia as a spike covered fish. The reason for dropping this was not stated.
*Ravage was in an early draft of Reign of Starscream, but was dropped at Hasbro's request.
Sam was willing to trade the remains of the Matrix for his parents, but when he realised Bumblebee had arrived, managed to position Rampage for an attack. ====Legends Class toys====

*Decepticon Rampage (Legends, 2009)
**Japanese ID number: D3

:Rampage and the six other Legends class Constructicons combine to form Devastator. In Japan, the Legends class Constructicons are sold individually. Unlike the deluxe toy, he does not feature a "standard" robot mode, but has the (in fiction) jackhammer mode. Also unlike the Deluxe toy, he can stand in this mode. He forms the left leg of Devastator.
*Desert Attack Rampage (Legends Class figure, 2009)

: A red redeco of Rampage was made available as an exclusive to Japanese ToysЯUs stores on November 21, 2009. Limited to 4000 pieces, he came as a free gift with the purchase of 3000 yen of TakaraTomy Transformers product.

*Rampage (Deluxe, 2009)
**Japanese ID number: RD-06

:Rampage transforms from a yellow Caterpillar D11 bulldozer into one of two robot mode configurations, the first of which (his actual in-fiction robot form) is distinctly Vehicon-esque. It lacks any functional legs, instead featuring a spring-loaded "jackhammer" assembly. When the figure is bounced along the ground in this mode, his Mech Alive feature is activated, and a pair of pistons that frame his head pump back and forth. The shovel can be removed in this mode and used as a stand. If legs are preferred, his jackhammer splits and his elaborate kibble backpack unfolds, together forming four leg-struts to create a free-standing robot form that is rather centaurian in design. Though not mentioned in the instructions or package, the aforementioned backpack can remain folded in robot mode for a more movie-accurate, two-legged 'play' mode of sorts. He features real rubber treads which become arm-mounted whip weapons in robot mode. Unfortunately, due to this design, the treads themselves do not function in vehicle mode.

:Like several toys in the Revenge of the Fallen toyline, Rampage has had a mold change done somewhere between his instructions being drawn up and the final version of the toy. On the final toy, the rear flap behind the cabin of the bulldozer runs into a screw section used to hold the robot pelvis together. This change also affects where the rear flap and the bulldozer shovel connect in robot mode. On the instructions, this flap is shown as folding flat against the back of the vehicle and said flap is also folded down much farther in robot mode to connect to the shovel. The mold change seems to account for the shovel connection issue in robot mode, but not the problem in vehicle mode. Unlike some others, this change does not directly affect any of the toy's action features or articulation.
:Available as a Sam's Club-exclusive, Rampage was packed with Movie Longarm, Breakaway and a "battle damaged" version of Sideways.
*Rampage (Deluxe, 2010)

:As a redeco of Rampage's first deluxe class toy in red, this release of Rampage represents a more movie accurate version of the Rampage who fought Bumblebee in Egypt. Hasbro's version of red Rampage is a straight colour swap, with his yellow plastic replaced with red plastic.

DesertCombat
**Japanese ID number: RD-21

:TakaraTomy has gone further than Hasbro with their version of red Rampage, here called Decepticon Rampage Desert Combat, redecoing his shovel blade to match the one used on the Rampage prop vehicle seen in the movie (including horizontal lines to match the slatted look of the prop), and having a more screen-accurate colour scheme overall.
*Constructicon Devastator (2009)

:Rampage is the yellow Caterpillar D11 bulldozer that transforms into the left leg of Devastator. Like the other Constructicons in this set, he does not have an individual robot mode. He can only form Devastator's left leg, unless you want him to walk backwards. He has the code "AN-KA 111308" imprinted below his Decepticon symbol.

Mega Power Bots
*Constructicon Devastator (2009)
: Mega Power Bots Devastator is a simple toy for younger children, featuring plenty of playing sounds and flashing lights. His limbs have limited swivel articulation and do not detach into separate vehicles. He has a distinctly more humanoid stature than normal.

: Unlike regular Power Bots, and unlike other portrayals of the character in general, Devastator features a transformation! It consists of putting his arms up and laying him flat on his stomach, which lets him roll around using the wheels on his limbs.

: Pressing down the Decepticon shield on his crotch (!) spins the vortex in his chest, lights up his eyes and makes him utter one of many Welker-recorded phrases, including "Prepare for extermination!", "Crush Autobots!" and "I am Devastator!" Pressing on the crane of his excavator arm makes a cannon blast sound effect, while pressing the cab of his loader arm turns the scoop into claws.

Legends Class toys
*Rampage (Legends, 2010)

:This Legends class Rampage is an all-new mold that is different from the Legends class Rampage that came with Legends class Constructicon Devastator. Because he is not encumbered with the need to combine, both his robot and vehicle modes are much more accurate and detailed. Unfortunately, due to the robot mode's skinny legs, he can't stand up that well.
*Mudflap and Rampage (2009)

: Robot Heroes Rampage is a cute little figure sculpted hitting the ground in his jackhammer mode. His stubby little whips are deployed, and he has swivel articulation in his shoulders. Rampage is only available in a two-pack with Mudflap.
He is only available in a multi-pack with Skids and Mudflap in their vehicle modes and William Lennox.
:An extremely-simplified version of Rampage's vehicle mode is included as part of Burger King Devastator. Though his ball socket is compatible with any of Devastator's limb connections, it's marked with a D to indicate he forms Devastator's left leg.

: Number six in a series of eight Robot Powered Machines Mini-Vehicle versus packs, "Battle Series" Rampage is packaged with the Autobot Landmine. He's a non-transformable Hot Wheels-like car, with his robot mode sculpted and painted onto his underside. He also features a slightly-articulated shovel, probably for better rolling on tracks. He has through-axle construction similar to the Generation 2 Go-Bots, letting him zip along smooth surfaces (and compatible racetrack sets) at high speed.

Notes
*Although his correct, finalized name is used in the film (in on-screen subtitles, to be precise), Rampage is listed in the credits under his preliminary name of "Skipjack". Much confusion ensued, since nobody had actually heard this preliminary name before. As seen in concept art, during production, Rampage was referred to as "Jumping Jack".

*Starscream calls the red Rampage by name in the film. Secondary sources such as the Devastator toys and the The Movie Universe name the yellow Devastator components as Rampage. So, not only do the Decepticons have the same body-form, they have the same name. While other Constructicons have doubles, Rampage is the only one where all the versions of him are explicitly named.

*Due to his small size, the yellow Rampage combines with a yellow dump truck to form Devastator's leg in the film. Another yellow bulldozer forms the hand on Hightower.
