Before the Decepticons can cut him to ribbons, they are interrupted by the arrival of a new [[Autobot]] warrior and a cute blonde chick. The Autobot transforms and introduces himself as [[Victory Leo]]. Deathsaurus attempts to kill him with his [[Living-Metal-Destroying Cannon]], only to have his blast bounce off Victory Leo's [[gurunium]] armor.

Elsewhere, Jean is swooning at the cute blonde girl...until she introduces herself as [[Patty Minakaze|Patty]], ''his sister''. As a barrage of conflicting emotions disable Jean, Patty encourages Star Saber to find the strength to combine with Victory Leo. Star Saber and Victory Leo form the Victory Combination and become [[Star Saber (Victory)|Victory Saber]]. Victory Saber sends the Decepticons packing with his "Flash Victory" attack.

Their late [[Doctor Minakaze|father]] was a famed mineralogist who discovered a rare and powerful energy ore called gurunium. The gurunium was used to build Victory Leo and is in fact what makes the Victory Combination possible.

Victory Saber remarks that he feels as if he has the strength of a hundred Autobots and thanks Patty for her assistance. Just overhead, Solon makes his escape on [[Eaglebreast]], amused that the Autobots needed a girl to rescue them.

'''Jean Minakaze''' (南風ジャン ''Minakaze Jan'') is a human boy orphaned after a spacecraft carrying him and his [[Doctor Minakaze|family]] was destroyed by the [[Dinoforce]]. He was adopted by [[Star Saber (Victory)|Star Saber]], who acts as his father. He is very protective of Star Saber and does not enjoy watching him go off into battle. He greatly admires his "father" and treats him with the utmost respect. He works along with the [[Rescue Patrol Team]] in giving innocent bystanders aid against [[Decepticon]] attacks.

Jean's exposure to an Autobot upbringing has made him very intelligent for his age and species (that is, human). While he has no special weapons, he has built for himself a vehicle capable moving on two robotic legs. He named his creation the [[Illumina II]], after [[Illumina]], a girl from his school. When indoors, he uses a hover-board to get around and attract attention. He is also very brave for a boy his age.

His normal outfit includes a hoodie overshirt with suspenders and hightop sneakers with no socks, suggesting the Autobots of 2025 are not particularly fashion-conscious.

After the ship containing his parents was destroyed by the [[Dinoforce]], Jean was adopted as a baby by [[Star Saber (Victory)|Star Saber]] and went to live with the [[Autobot]]s out in space.

Many years later, when the [[Earth]] came under attack from [[Deathsaurus (Victory)|Deathsaurus]], Jean returned to his homeworld alongside his surrogate father. There, they met Deathsaurus and the "Decepticon Boy", [[Solon Kitakaze (Victory)|Solon]]. Star Saber defeated the Decepticons with ease and sent them into retreat. Confronting Solon after class, Jean's rival explained to him that he was a highly advanced cyborg and was enrolling in an Earth school so he could gather information on the "inferior humans" and determine their weaknesses. Jean wasn't about to take this lying down, but before they could rumble, [[Leozack]] began attacking the city.

Star Saber soon arrived and took the Decepticon out, then approached Jean and his friends. While Jean was happy to introduce Illumina to his dad, he made it a point to insist that Solon was ''not'' his friend. Out in some barren wasteland, Star Saber was making short work of the [[Breastforce]]. Following their defeat, Jean began to tease Solon. Their rough-housing was interrupted by the sudden appearance of [[Shūta Gō]] and [[Cab]], who made it clear that they felt Star Saber was an inferior [[Supreme Commander]] to [[Ginrai]], a statement which infuriated Jean. Suddenly, [[Kakuryū]] burst from the ground and attacked Star Saber. He didn't fare well, almost immediately being thrown over a cliff. As Saber loomed menacingly over the Decepticon, Jean begged him not to destroy him. Star Saber instead helped Kakuryū up and sent him on his way. Jean and his two new buddies soon built a treehouse and formed the "Autobot Boy Team", though their meaningful dialogues typically extended no further than what toy was cooler. Their first meeting was a short one, as Jean was kidnapped by [[Yokuryū]] and whisked away to the ''[[Thunder Arrow]]''. Jean's captor, Deathsaurus, revealed that he had a soft spot for little kids and offered him a place on the "Decepticon Boy Team" he was forming. Solon encouraged Jean to join, informing him that he could become a cyborg just like him. Deathsaurus sweetened the deal by offering Jean lots of gifts (such as toys, fruit and a [[Famicom]]) as well as wads of cash.

Star Saber soon arrived to rescue his son, though Jean was still thinking over the offer. Star Saber proceeded to trounce Deathsaurus and return to Earth, with Jean telling Solon he'd see him at school the next day. The Autobot Boy Team soon changed their name to the [[Victories]] and donned sets of silly armor, Jean's being modeled after Star Saber. Jean and Star Saber left to chase [[Liokaiser]] across the galaxy, eventually losing his trail on [[Energy Planet X]]. Frustrated, the two began to bicker like brats, exchanging childish insults. As Star Saber began to wonder if he was treating Jean too much like a soldier and not enough like a son, Liokaiser pounced. About to deliver the deathblow, the Decepticon was momentarily halted as the individual Breastforce members began to argue over who would get to kill the Autobot. Star Saber and Jean took this opportunity to break free and defeat the Decepticon. There they were met by Deathsaurus and King Solon, Solon's new giant mech unit. The two Decepticons merged into [[King Zaras]] and attacked Victory Saber. The pair were evenly matched until Solon was distracted by Patty saying the word "mother", and that momentary pause gave Victory Saber the chance he needed to destroy the King Solon mech. Victory Leo combined with Star Saber to form [[Star Saber (Victory)|Victory Saber]] and the [[Decepticon|Decepticons]] were handily defeated. As Jean began to blush at the rocking hot blonde chick standing before him, Patty snapped him to his senses by informing him she was his sister (though this did not keep [[Shūta Gō|Shūta]] and [[Cab]] from remaining smitten with her). Patty told Jean that Victory Leo was built from [[gurunium]] ore, a metal which their father had discovered. The gurunium was what made the Victory Combination possible, in fact. It didn't take Patty long to usurp Jean as leader of the Victories (likely due to her older age) and she began to sweetly, yet demandingly, work her teammates into the ground with menial labors. Once there, Victory Saber came under attack from [[King Zaras]], the combined form of Deathsaurus and Solon's new giant mech body, [[Solon Kitakaze (Victory)|King Solon]]. Nine million years ago, "the Metrotitan" was a fortress in the [[Glibex]] flats. In the first decade of the Decepticon uprising, it came under siege by the 'Cons, who eliminated all resistance and then moved on. The more entrepreneurial [[Rage]] of the [[Stormtrooper]]s salvaged the Metrotitan and retrofitted it as a mobile battle station under his control.

After capturing the [[Heart of the Dragon]] from [[Median]], Rage's ultimate goal was to implant the powerful [[laser core]] in the Metrotitan itself, hoping to reformat the fortress into a massively powerful Transformer under his control. He hoped this grand gesture would be enough to get him noticed by the Decepticon generals, and rise in the rebel hierarchy. First, however, he tested the heart in a micro-sized body, creating the dragon known as [[Brimstone (Universe)|Brimstone]].
