Are we certain that the setting in this episode is New York City? Having seen both the fandubbed and the fansub version of this episode, I do not recall the fansub acknowledging the city being New York. The fandub, however in a couple of scenes. However, the fandub appears to be very loose to the original dialogue.

Furthermore, the tower Primal looks nothing like the Empire State Building, but rather, Tokyo Tower.

Just that I am iffy of calling the city New York since there are no mention of it in the original dialogue. However, if there is any translated material source that confirms it, then it would be helpful to source it. The fandubbed, while good, appears to take many liberties in making up their own dialogue. As such, I don't think it is a good source of info.
:Agreed. Having watched the fansub and having some rudimentary understanding of spoken Japanese, nothing in there even remotely suggests that this is New York City. And TFCog is rather notorious for changing dialog in their fandubs whenever they please. --Detour 19:23, 27 March 2011 (EDT)

The Autobots struggle to save a city from an all-out Decepticon attack. They receive aid from the mysterious Reverse Convoy, but is he friend...or foe?

Synopsis
It is the year 2004. With the help of the United Nations, the Autobots have begun work on their Scramble City operation. Their plan is interrupted by the sudden arrival of the time-displaced Beast Megatron who has seized command of the Decepticons in the absence of the original Megatron. Along with a group of time-displaced Autobots, Optimus Prime battles to thwart Beast Megatron and his plot to steal Earth's new super energy source, Solitarium.

Currently, a populated city is a disaster area as the Decepticons have discovered a deposit of Solitarium buried beneath the city. Optimus Prime and Victory Leo arrive on the scene as the city burns to the ground. Victory Leo flies off to deal with Starscream and Wingstun while Optimus Prime takes on Beast Megatron. Prime knocks Megatron down, but before the Predacon can recover, he is hit with a volley of missiles from a mysterious foe. Prime wonders if the shadowy lion-shaped warrior was Victory Leo.

Meanwhile, Starscream and Wingstun lay waste to the city. They are quickly shot out of the sky by Optimus Primal, who fires at them from atop a tower. They recover, only to be blasted out of the sky for good by a new arrival, the Autobot known as Reverse Convoy. Optimus Primal meets up with Reverse Convoy, who explains that he has tracked Beast Megatron's activities to Earth and wishes to help stop his threat.

Beast Megatron orders Gigant Bomb and Smokesniper to destroy Optimus Prime and the pair gang up on him. Luckily for Prime, Star Saber appears from the sky and hurls him an extra gun. As Optimus fires, he is joined by the mysterious lion warrior: Lio Convoy. As Beast Megatron rides in atop Gigant Bomb, Lio Convoy knocks him to the ground and the pair do battle.

Star Saber and Victory Leo then take on Gigant Bomb and Smokesniper, but are shot out of the sky by Reverse Convoy, much to Optimus Primal's shock and awe. Laughing, Reverse Convoy reveals his true identity: Rebirth Megatron, the original Megatron who was believed missing!

Rebirth Megatron immediately attacks his arch foe, Optimus Prime, but is deflected by Lio Convoy. Rebirth Megatron then takes his place by Beast Megatron's side and the two decide to work with one another, though they aren't very fond of each other. Optimus Prime and Optimus Primal attempt their old trick, the "Double Prime Tornado", but discover that the two Megatrons are capable of creating a similar attack, the "Double Megatron Tornado", and prove their equal.

The energy put out by the two attacks reacts with the Solitarium beneath the city, causing it to overflow into the streets. The Megatrons are overjoyed at this, as it makes their collection of the Solitarium even easier. As the two tornadoes prove perfect matches, Lio Convoy decides to tilt the scales with his "Lio Typhoon Arrow" attack. The two Megatrons are overwhelmed and sent flying. The Decepticons retreat, swearing vengeance. Lio Convoy wishes to pursue and destroy their adversaries, but Optimus Prime stops him, saying he detects other Decepticon energy signatures. The Autobots decide to split up and track down the various Decepticons.
The energy put out by the two attacks reacts with the Solitarium beneath New York, causing it to overflow into the streets.
The Autobots struggle to save New York City from an all-out Decepticon attack.

Meanwhile, Starscream and Wingstun lay waste to the Big Apple.

New York City?
Are we certain that the setting in this episode is New York City? I have seen both the fandubbed and the fansub version of this episode and in the fansub, they don't acknowledge it being New York as oppose to the fandubbed, which appears to be very loose to the original dialogue.

Just that the tower Primal looks nothing like the Empire State Building, but rather, Tokyo Tower.

Just that I am iffy in the wiki calling it New York city since there are no mention of it in the original dialogue. However, if there is any translated material source that confirms it, then it would be helpful to source it. The fandubbed, while good, appears to take many liberties in making up their own dialogue. As such, I don't think it is a good source of info.

Here is the subtitled version of the video:

Until someone can provide proof that the city is New York (without using the fandubbed video), I took the liberty in changing the article to refer to it as a city.
The Autobots struggle to save New York City from an all-out Decepticon attack.

Meanwhile, Starscream and Wingstun lay waste to the Big Apple.

The energy put out by the two attacks reacts with the Solitarium beneath New York, causing it to overflow into the streets.

However, if there is any translated material source that confirms, then it would be helpful to source it.
