The '''appliancebots''' came to life when [[Sam Witwicky]] discovered an [[All Spark]] fragment in the shirt he wore at the battle of [[Mission City]]. When he touched the fragment, it activated and he dropped it. It burnt a hole through his bedroom floor and into the Witwicky kitchen, where it sent out a pulse which brought the household appliances to life.

As Ron and Sam sought cover behind the backyard fountain, Sam called to [[Bumblebee (Movie)|Bumblebee]], who was hiding in the garage.
