In "The Coming of the Fuzors, Part 1", Dinobot decides to know the truth about the Golden Disk, and realizes that whenever he makes the correct conclusion, either he (if the Disk tells of a future that ultimately ''will'' happen, for then Dinobot would not be the master of his own fate) or the Disk (if the Disk tells what ''might'' happen, for then its power would be great) would "face oblivion." In this episode, Dinobot concludes that his choices are indeed his own, and- accurate to his prediction- the Disk is destroyed. But ironically, so is he, in the very process of making his own choice.
