Since we're being anal about where characters originate, wouldn't this more rightly be "Demolishor (WFC)"?--[[User:Rosicrucian|Rosicrucian]][[User Talk:Rosicrucian|Talk]] 01:42, 7 April 2010 (EDT)
:I've been thinking about pointing this out myself, but I'm just so unsure just what the rule actually is for this stuff... --[[User:Detour|Detour]] 02:23, 7 April 2010 (EDT)
::Depends on what WFC turns out to be, I'd say. We use (G1) to disamb guys who appeared in later G1 comics rather than (Dreamwve), (War Within) etc.. Right now, I don't see how a different medium would mean another identifier. [[User:Geewunling|Geewunling]] 02:27, 7 April 2010 (EDT)
::::That's because "Dreamwave" isn't a franchise, it's a publisher. No one's asking to move this to (Activision). As of now, we don't know for absolute sure Demolishor's franchise-of-origin. It might end up being G1 and it might end up being Prime, which could still BE G1, but a franchise within G1, like Beast Wars or Generation 2. --[[User:ItsWalky|ItsWalky]] 08:59, 7 April 2010 (EDT)
:::Except there's the distinct possibility that WFC is considered the backstory to Prime (which has been danced around a few times by Hasbro). I'd say err on the side of caution here. We don't know that this Demolishor is being retroactively inserted into G1. We know that WFC is G1-''esque'', but we do not know that it's considered G1.--[[User:Rosicrucian|Rosicrucian]][[User Talk:Rosicrucian|Talk]] 02:31, 7 April 2010 (EDT)
::::I'd appreciate it not to be reminded of that horrendous new franchise name. For gods, it's even worse than "Animated". Anyway, point. For the sake of clarity until further notice, I agree this one should be moved to WFC, with the notion it ought to be changed back if it turns out anyway that WFC is part of G1. [[User:Geewunling|Geewunling]] 06:51, 7 April 2010 (EDT)

:::::::Here's the thing though. All the other characters on the WfC page link to their G1 selves. If we're honestly going to assume that WfC is something new until proved otherwise than ALL of THOSE should be redirected to new WfC versions of those characters. Mightn't it be more simple to assume that this is G1 and then move it if it proves otherwise? --[[Special:Contributions/99.106.200.53|99.106.200.53]] 08:22, 7 April 2010 (EDT)

:''"Dreamwave" isn't a franchise, it's a publisher. No one's asking to move this to (Activision).''
:What concerns me a little is that everything we've read about both WFC and its own prequel, [[Exodus]], sure sounds like being G1-enough for us to have already called it G1. "The War Within" is G1. "Megatron: Origins" is G1. We're probably going to see everybody basically acting like their G1 selves, making a big show out of meeting each other for the first time, there'll be at least one of the original 13 in there, and probably some secret alien gizmo buried underground. If that's basically how things go, then considering all the other kinda-similar-but-not-the-same flashback storylines we have accepted as G1, how would we ''not'' accept this as G1? Are there firm ground rules we can go with on this, to try to pre-emptively head off another "Swarm (IDW)"? (Bear in mind that WFC is not going to be a toyline either).
:For instance, I could see firmly splitting this off from G1 if the Allspark as a solid physical object shows up. --[[User:Thylacine 2000|Thylacine 2000]] 10:22, 7 April 2010 (EDT)
::Well, I think a big part of determining that will be figuring out if the game actually is supposed to be part of the same universe as "Prime", and seeing if that universe in turn could be considered G1, or if it'll be something else. - [[User:Chris McFeely|Chris McFeely]] 10:29, 7 April 2010 (EDT)
:::<nowiki><speculation></nowiki> Hasbro is trying to set up a reboot of sorts that incorporates the best of Transformers lore. This universe will be ''the'' universe for the foreseeable future. It will look a lot like G1. So much so that it would make logical sense for the wiki to categorize it as G1. However, Hasbro will never, ever, use "Generation 1" to describe it. They would want to look forward rather than tie it directly to something 26 years old. <nowiki></speculation></nowiki> Therefore, even though it may be logical for the wiki to call it "G1", it may look silly and out-of-touch to do so. - [[User:Starfield|Starfield]] 12:43, 7 April 2010 (EDT)

I repeat though, if we're not considering this guy G1 yet why are we considering all the other WfC characters to be G1 on that page. I know we haven't enough info to be sure either way yet, but shouldn't we be consistant and consider either all of them G1 or none until we know, and not have it one way for some and another for others?--[[Special:Contributions/99.75.107.112|99.75.107.112]] 14:31, 7 April 2010 (EDT)
