To call '''Scorponok''' "gruff" is an understatement. On [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]], Scorponok terrorized outlying communities largely outside the reach of the law, often tearing them down for simple enjoyment. {{storylink|Misdirection}} He was eventually arrested and placed in a [[stasis pod]] aboard the ''[[Alchemor (RID)|Alchemor]]''. After the ship crashed on [[Earth]], Scorponok was one of three prisoners, alongside [[Glowstrike]] and [[Saberhorn]], who organized the freed Decepticons into a militia and overthrew their [[Mini-Con]] prison guards, enslaving them. {{storylink|Decepticon Island (Part 1)}} From there, they sent members of the group out to scavenge materials {{storylink|Metal Meltdown}} needed to get the ''Alchemor'' spaceworthy. {{storylink|Decepticon Island (Part 1)}}
Scorponok and Glowstrike were unimpressed with Saberhorn's recent failure nor [[Kickback (RID)|Kickback]]'s work. As Glowstrike grouched, Scorponok noted they were stuck with the minions they had, when they were suddenly approached by [[Steeljaw (RID)|Steeljaw]], who had followed Kickback home. {{storylink|Metal Meltdown}}
Promised a group of elite warriors by Steeljaw, Scorponok and with his Mini-Cons [[Bludgeon (RID 2015)|Bludgeon]] and [[Clout]] arrived at the designated meeting place, soon joined by [[Crazybolt (RID)|Crazybolt]] and [[Slicedice]]. The surly Scorponok was swiftly irritated by the pair's tardiness and their need for speed, not helped by Steeljaw's absence... not realizing that Steeljaw had set them up to get attacked by the Autobots (as a distraction for his own ends, and not caring whether Scorponok felled the Autobots or vice versa). His mood worsened as Crazybolt spouted his nonsensical maxim, but before he start an altercation with him, the Autobots attacked.

[[File:Misdirection Bumblebee on Scorponok.jpg|left|thumb|250px|Hey, I'm not a city in this continuity, so don't stand on me!]]
Scorponok traded blows with [[Grimlock (RID 2015)|Grimlock]], being unimpressed with the [[Dinobot (RID)|Dinobot's]] combat skills, and soon got the upper claw on Grimlock, forcing [[Bumblebee (WFC)|Bumblebee]] to back off. The Autobot lieutenant distracted the Decepticon intimidater by claiming he knew of Steeljaw's desire to take Earth for himself, for its apparent magic. Bumblebee then used a little flim-flam to distract and confuse the Decepticons, setting them up for him and Grimlock to take them down. All five were captured and sealed in [[stasis pod]]s. Steeljaw later fabricated a story that led Glowstrike to believe Scorponok betrayed the cause. {{storylink|Misdirection}}

After [[Toolbox]] explained Scorponok and the other's rise to control of the crashed section of the ''Alchemor'', [[Drift (RID)|Drift]] suggested that they work quickly to apprehend the trio, though Bumblebee pointed out that Scorponok had already been captured. {{storylink|Decepticon Island (Part 1)}} Scorponok's stasis pod was later taken back to Cybertron by [[Optimus Prime (WFC)|Optimus Prime]], [[Windblade (RID)|Windblade]] and [[Ratchet (WFC)|Ratchet]]. '''Glacius''' is slightly more reasonable and upbeat than his buddy [[Swelter]], although that's not saying all that much. This Mini-Con uses his icy blasts to freeze his enemies solid; when combined with Swelter's (literal) firepower the duo can melt and re-freeze metal to trap their enemies. Although both Mini-Cons hired themselves out to various Decepticons back on [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]], they've fallen in with [[Razorpaw]] since arriving on [[Earth]], a less-than-ideal partnership. This newfound fear of their master is pretty much the only thing keeping both Mini-Cons from going their own way.
Swelter and Glacius regularly teamed up with Decepticons. They were imprisoned on the ''[[Alchemor (RID)|Alchemor]]'' only to be freed when the ship crashed on [[Earth]]. There they teamed up with [[Razorpaw]], despite the fact he treated them poorly. They brought the team of trackers to Razorpaw's attention, and accompanied him as he followed them to a military base where the pair succeeded in trapping Drift and [[Sideswipe (RID)|Sideswipe]] in a metal cocoon. They followed that up by taking out Optimus himself, but it turned out Optimus had been feigning, and while the pair argued with Razorpaw, Optimus attacked the trio. {{storylink|Cover Me}}
'''The severely outnumbered Autobots on Decepticon Island desperately search for a way to stop Steeljaw and his army. Tensions between Bumblebee and Optimus could put the mission, and the entire world, at risk.'''

==Synopsis==
[[File:TRID S2 E13 DIP2 SC 1.jpg|thumb|left|250px|Alright, it’s time to redeem ourselves - through one final act of redemption.]]

The Autobots, having infiltrated the crashed ''[[Alchemor (RID)|Alchemor]]'', are surrounded by Decepticons. [[Saberhorn]] and [[Steeljaw (RID)|Steeljaw]] bicker over the latter's leadership coup, and though [[Glowstrike]] is tempted to strike, the fact Steeljaw has two [[Decepticon Hunter]]s stops her. [[Optimus Prime (WFC)|Optimus Prime]] and [[Bumblebee (WFC)|Bumblebee]] disagree on their next course of action, so [[Windblade (RID)|Windblade]] takes matters into her own hands, taking off as a distraction. The other Autobots make a run for it, but [[Drift (RID)|Drift]] and Bumblebee are hit by fire from Steeljaw in the process. Though they escape, it's with the loss of Windblade and Bumblebee's [[Decepticon Hunter]].
As Windblade is carried away, Glowstrike picks up the lost Decepticon Hunter and prepares to take back leadership from Steeljaw, but she and Saberhorn are merely blasted by their betrayer who claims the weapon himself. But they where fine.

Bumblebee and Optimus again clash over the latter trying to take leadership from the former. The team splits up, with Drift and [[Ratchet (WFC)|Ratchet]] going to rescue Windblade; [[Strongarm (RID)|Strongarm]], [[Sideswipe (RID)|Sideswipe]] and [[Grimlock (RID 2015)|Grimlock]] trying to free the [[Mini-Con]] captives; and Bumblebee, Optimus and [[Toolbox]] continuing with the [[stasis bomb]] plan.

On shore, [[Fixit (RID)|Fixit]] is determined to help the captive Mini-Cons. While [[Denny Clay|Denny]] and [[Russell Clay|Russell Clay]] are distracted readying disguises, he steals a boat and heads out towards the ''Alchemor''.

[[File:TRID S2 E13 DIP2 SC 2.jpg|thumb|right|250px|Hurry up and blast him with all your strength before he has time to ''dodge!'']]

[[Overload (RID)|Overload]] is securing Windblade in a stasis pod when Drift and Ratchet burst in on him. A fight ensues and the Autobots are knocked into stasis pods, however Drift's Mini-Cons manage to detach and avoid being trapped as well.

Strongarm, Sideswipe and Grimlock stumble on a communications room, which they realize can be used to transmit a signal to deactivate the [[inhibitor collar]]s enslaving the Mini-Cons. Before they can do so, they're found by [[Groundpounder (RID)|Groundpounder]] and [[Thunderhoof (RID)|Thunderhoof]] who engage them in battle.

Bumblebee's trio is making their way through the ship, though Bumblebee's irritation is boiling over and he and Optimus are forced to talk out their problem, with Bumblebee managing to persuade Optimus to let him lead. They reach the ventilation hub and start planting the cryo bomb but are interrupted by Steeljaw. The Decepticon combines his Decepticon Hunters, granting himself tremendous power.

[[File:TRID S2 E13 DIP2 SC 3.jpg|thumb|left|250px|RIDER KICK!]]

Fixit sneaks through the ''Alchemor'' until he stumbles on his enslaved fellow Mini-Cons. When one of the slaves collapses and it appears that a Decepticon is about to terminate, Fixit steps in to block his shot.

Jetstorm and Slipstream manage to free Ratchet and Windblade who successfully take out Overload shortly before Drift is freed. They head for the rendezvous.

Meanwhile Strongarm's team is having trouble against Groundpounder and Thunderhoof. Strongarm manages to kick Sideswipe over to the communication controls, and he sets up a signal which incapacitates the two Decepticons. He then sets the console to deactivate the inhibitor collars, allowing Fixit and his newly-freed Mini-Con pals overcome the Decepticon guards.

[[File:TRID S2 E13 DIP2 SC 4.jpg|thumb|right|250px|''Optimus crossing the Delaware'', oil on canvas.]]

Bumblebee and Optimus struggle with the supercharged Steeljaw, however a mayday from Toolbox has Fixit's group come to their aid. While the Mini-Cons keep Steeljaw busy, Bumblebee attempts to complete the bomb, and Optimus helps out after Steeljaw overcomes the Mini-Cons. The bomb is soon complete, but they need to find some way to keep Steeljaw on the island so he'll be affected when it goes off. As the three larger bots clash, the Mini-Cons manage to deprive Steeljaw of his weapon, which Bumblebee promptly takes possession of. He uses it to trap Steeljaw in the floor. The Autobots speed back to the boats and manage to get clear before the bomb goes off. Fixit reports the Decepticons on board the ship are now all in stasis.

In the aftermath, Toolbox announces that he and the other Mini-Cons will complete repairs to the ''Alchemor'' and use it to take the Decepticons back to Cybertron. Windblade and Ratchet intend to accompany them, and Optimus intends to go as well, so he can investigate the new ruling body. After watching the boat leave, Bumblebee tells the rest of the team that it's time to establish a permanent base on Earth, and they all head back to the scrapyard.
'''Windblade is concerned about Optimus' well being, but doing so puts the Away Team at risk as they battle Razorpaw.'''

==Synopsis==
[[File:CoverMe Swelter Glacius conquer Prime.jpg|thumb|left|250px|We found him like this, honest!]]
As the Autobots drive through the desert in new brown camo color schemes, [[Sideswipe (RID)|Sideswipe]] irritates the others by recounting a story of how he tricked [[Strongarm (RID)|Strongarm]] into thinking he could time travel. [[Windblade (RID)|Windblade]] complains about his inability to remain quiet, but is alarmed when [[Optimus Prime (WFC)|Optimus Prime]] stumbles. Though he claims to be alright, a short time later a couple of [[Mini-Con]]s jump out of a nearby bush and proceed to knock him down with their ice and fire powers. Though Windblade's ready to step in, [[Drift (RID)|Drift]] sends [[Jetstorm (RID)|Jetstorm]] and [[Slipstream (RID)|Slipstream]] to deal with the pair, holding her back as the fight will test his students. Unfortunately the two students are overcome by their opponents, so the larger Autobots move in, at which point their opponents disappear in a flash of light. Optimus contacts [[Fixit (RID)|Fixit]] who is able to identify them as [[Swelter]] and [[Glacius]], but can't find a record of the [[Razorpaw]] that the pair mentioned.

[[File:CoverMe Windblade's finest hour.jpg|thumb|right|250px|Can I keep it?]]
The Autobots move out to continue their search and Optimus soon detects a signal ahead. The Autobots suggest Optimus to hang back as he seems weakened, but he intends to face the Decepticon with the rest of the team. Windblade talks with Drift and Sideswipe, who believe Prime knows what he's doing. She resolves to protect Optimus herself. As they split up to search, Windblade starts attacking nearby suspicious bushes. When one bush seems particularly active, she pushes Optimus down, only to discover the hidden danger within the bush is actually a woodchuck. The creature attacks her, sending her off a cliff and into a swiftly-flowing river. Sideswipe gives chase and, after one attempt to rescue her fails, manages to grab her just short of a massive waterfall. Despite limping from an injured leg, Windblade is still determined to protect Optimus. The Autobots are unaware they're being spied on from afar by Swelter and Glacius, who have brought them to the attention of Razorpaw himself.

[[File:CoverMe Windblade versus Razorpaw.jpg|thumb|left|250px|"Good effort, but I'm the Patty-cake champion." <br> "...What?"]]
Optimus's team finds a deserted army base full of military vehicles. On finding a hangar which has clearly been broken into, Optimus splits them into two teams — one to go in and check it out, and the other to check the immediate area. Windblade successfully argues she should be on the latter team so she can accompany Optimus. A short time after entering the hangar, Sideswipe and Drift are attacked by Swelter and Glacius who trap them in a cocoon of metal. Though disgruntled at their treatment by Razorpaw, the two Mini-Cons head outside to help their companion. Optimus and Windblade hear the noise from the hangar, but are interrupted by Razorpaw. Windblade throws Optimus aside to tackle Razorpaw herself, however Razorpaw reveals that contrary to what she thinks: he is after her, not Optimus. Swelter and Glacius join the battle, occupying Optimus long enough for Razorpaw to drain some of Windblade's energon reserves. Razorpaw moves in on Optimus, but the two Mini-Cons start bickering with him. Optimus, who has been feigning defeat, takes the opportunity to fight the three Decepticons, knocking out Razorpaw and hitting Swelter and Glacius between two jeeps. Who where all fine.

After Optimus helps Windblade up, the pair enter the hangar and start freeing Sideswipe and Drift, though Drift says there's no hurry as Sideswipe has finally been forced to shut up.
===Continuity notes===
* According to Fixit's map, the away team has made it to the American southwest. Guess the long trip from the polar regions (the last time we saw them) was pretty uneventful, given his remarks about how long it's been since they last checked in!
* Windblade's inability to free herself from the river is... questionable. She's shown limping earlier in this episode, which might imply damage to one of her thrusters, but such damage is never stated.
:''Swelter is a [[Decepticon]] [[Mini-Con]] from the [[Transformers: Robots in Disguise (2015 franchise)|Robots in Disguise]] portion of the [[Aligned continuity family]].''

Cranky and pessimistic, '''Swelter''' isn't exactly pleasant company, unless you happen to be his best friend [[Glacius]]. Swelter's bad attitude and penchant for violence means that he's right at home in the Decepticon ranks, and his flame-throwing weaponry- capable of melting even solid metal- allows him to torch any Autobots who get in his way. In the past, this rowdy duo hired themselves out to various Decepticons, but these days the only thing that keeps them in line is their mutual fear of their new master [[Razorpaw]].
Swelter and Glacius regularly teamed up with Decepticons. They were imprisoned on the ''[[Alchemor (RID)|Alchemor]]'' only to be freed when the ship crashed on [[Earth]]. There they teamed up with [[Razorpaw]], despite the fact he treated them poorly. When [[Optimus Prime (WFC)|Optimus Prime]]'s team appeared on the hunt for Razorpaw, they attacked the former Autobot leader and even defeated [[Drift (RID)|Drift]]'s Mini-Cons [[Jetstorm (RID)|Jetstorm]] and [[Slipstream (RID)|Slipstream]], but retreated when faced by the other Autobots. They brought the team of trackers to Razorpaw's attention, and accompanied him as he followed them to a military base where the pair succeeded in trapping Drift and [[Sideswipe (RID)|Sideswipe]] in a metal cocoon. They followed that up by taking out Optimus himself, but it turned out Optimus had been feigning, and while the pair argued with Razorpaw, Optimus fought the trio. {{storylink|Cover Me}}

Swelter's stasis pod was later taken back to [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]] by [[Optimus Prime (WFC)|Optimus Prime]], [[Windblade (RID)|Windblade]] and [[Ratchet (WFC)|Ratchet]]. Where he would later along with other Decepticons get out of prison. {{storylink|Decepticon Island (Part 2)}}

: This version of Swelter, dubbed "Blizzard Strike Swelter", is an ice-themed redeco of the fire-themed Mini-Con. Okiedokie. He transforms into a Cybertronian torpedo with a mostly-one-step [[autotransformation]]. As a torpedo-style Mini-Con, he can attach to and launch from the [[Fracture (RID)#Deployer|Deployer Fracture toy]].

: This four-pack also comes with [[Backtrack (RID)#4pack|Blizzard Strike Backtrack]], [[Beastbox (RID)#4pack|Scorch Strike Beastbox]], and [[Undertone#4pack|Scorch Strike Undertone]]. It was also the first Mini-Con release for ''Robots in Disguise''<nowiki>'</nowiki> 2016 product, so three of its "mission redeco" figures hit shelves before the characters' "normal" versions were available.

:While he shares engineering with fellow Decepticon Mini-Con [[Divebomb (RID)#Toys|Divebomb]], he is a completely new mold.

: Part of the third wave of single-packed Mini-Cons, Swelter's individual release puts him in his original fire-themed coloration. This time around he comes with a Deception-sigil-shaped sprue that he can attach to, which has a number of clear plastic armor pieces that can be attached to him in both robot and torpedo modes (and of course work with his prior "Blizzard Strike" version).

*'''Mini-Con Mega Pack''' (2016)

: This version of Swelter, available in a massive fifteen-pack of Mini-Cons released exclusively in some Asian and European markets, has the front surfaces of his arms painted yellow (a rare non-silver paint addition for this set).
Saberhorn was a captive aboard the ''Alchemor'' when it crashed on [[Earth]], although he wasn't on [[Fixit (RID)|Fixit]]'s prisoner manifest for reasons unknown. {{storylink|Metal Meltdown}} Freed during the impact, he took leadership of the civilization of Decepticons, alongside [[Scorponok (WFC)|Scorponok]] and [[Glowstrike]], {{storylink|Decepticon Island (Part 1)}} and was sent out to obtain [[thermatanium]]. He was collecting some from a quarry near [[Crown City]] when he encountered [[Bumblebee (WFC)|Bumblebee]], [[Strongarm (RID)|Strongarm]], and [[Grimlock (RID 2015)|Grimlock]] but was able to make off with a collection of ore. He took it to a steel mill to smelt it, and was again found by the Autobots. He seized [[Russell Clay]] as a hostage and almost succeeded in melting down Bumblebee, but was forced to flee after Grimlock grabbed him. He returned to the starship wreck where his bosses were unimpressed with his antics. {{storylink|Metal Meltdown}}

Saberhorn was in attendance after [[Steeljaw (RID)|Steeljaw]] returned to the base with a group of recently freed ''Alchemor'' escapees for [[Glowstrike]]'s consideration, reflecting fondly on Steeljaw's potential. {{storylink|Misdirection}}

[[File:TRID E 36 Saberhorn Robot Mode.jpg|thumb|right|250px|"As you can clearly see, this ghost was freed entirely by chance."]]
When Steeljaw was talking to his troops about the chain of command, Saberhorn and Glowstrike arrived to have a word with him. Steeljaw assumed that they were onto his betrayal and prepared to annihilate them, but was instead shocked to learn that they were offering him a leadership position. As a display of his power and loyalty, Saberhorn, Glowstrike, and Steeljaw dealt with a suspected terrorist amongst their ranks. Their conversation with Steeljaw ended when they walked into a weapons room and Glowstrike mentioned that there was a pod of Deception hunters that they needed help opening. {{storylink|Portals}}

Saberhorn and Glowstrike didn't take lightly to being summoned by Steeljaw, but they were more than impressed when he opened the weapons container. Saberhorn then asked Steeljaw to hand them over, but instead, Steeljaw turned his new-found weapons on Saberhorn and Glowstrike. During their later confrontation against the Autobots, Saberhorn and Glowstrike bowed to Steeljaw as he claimed the ''Alchemor'' to be the first outpost of his new empire. {{storylink|Decepticon Island (Part 1)}}

Saberhorn accused Steeljaw of stealing the island after he was kindly accepted to be one of their own, but Steeljaw countered by sardonically stating that deceit was part of the Decepticon way. After their skirmish with the Autobots, resulting in [[Windblade (RID)|Windblade]]'s capture, Glowstrike held Bumblebee's dropped Decepticon Hunter against Steeljaw, but Steeljaw reacted quickly by shooting down both Saberhorn and Glowstrike. Saberhorn was most likely re-frozen after the Autobots detonated a [[stasis bomb]] in the ship's ventilation system, along with the other Decepticons, and taken back to [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]] by [[Optimus Prime (WFC)|Optimus Prime]], Windblade and [[Ratchet (WFC)|Ratchet]]. *'''Saberhorn / Bisk''' (Crash Combiner, 2018)

:Part of the fourth and final wave of the ''[[Combiner Force]]'' [[Crash Combiner]]s subline, Saberhorn is a roughly Scout-class sized figure that changes from his Cybertronic rhinoceros beetle into a robot in 7 steps, deviating from the other Crash Combiners' simplified transformations. He can also spread his legs for a more dramatic pose thanks to his combined form's transformation scheme. His individual robot mode only has limited articulation in his shoulders. He also has a little green arrow above the connector on his abdomen indicating where to crash him to combine with other figures. A 5 mm post hole on top of his vehicle mode can accommodate a compatible accessory or Weaponizer Minicon, though he cannot use it in his individual robot mode.

:Saberhorn comes packaged with [[Bisk_(RID)#CrashCombiner|Bisk]] and is intended to combine with him to form [[Saberclaw]]'s lower torso. Connecting them to each other (more like bumping each other's asses) will activate Bisk's automatic transformation, but Saberhorn must be converted manually. He can also combine with any other Crash Combiner figure to form a random Combiner.

:This two-pack was a very late addition to the ''Robots in Disguise'' line, with a Hasbro product code number in the same region as the wave 1 Prime Masters from ''[[Power of the Primes (toyline)|Power of the Primes]]''.
:''Glowstrike is a [[Decepticon]] from the [[Transformers: Robots in Disguise (2015 franchise)|Robots in Disguise]] portion of the [[Aligned continuity family]].''

Some [[Decepticon]] leaders are bloodthirsty tyrants, others are ambitious schemers, but '''Glowstrike''' doesn't fall into either category. Cold and aloof, Glowstrike runs her platoon of Decepticons stringently and efficiently. She prefers to delegate her work to her underlings, whom she holds to very high standards. They'll finish their mission to the best of their ability... or they won't return at all. That said, those that ''do'' distinguish themselves in the field will be rewarded with a well-deserved promotions, as [[Steeljaw (RID)|Steeljaw]] can attest.

For those less-inclined Decepticons, Glowstrike isn't above using threats if the situation calls for it. Her ability to fire bolts of energy from her palms is always a great motivator. Even so, she's found herself largely displeased with the mismatched mob of Decepticon castaways stranded on [[Earth]].

Glowstrike was one of the prisoners aboard the ''[[Alchemor (RID)|Alchemor]]'' and was freed from stasis when ship crash-landed on [[Earth]]. She, [[Saberhorn]], and [[Scorponok (WFC)|Scorponok]] staged a revolt against their [[Mini-Con]] prison wardens, enslaving them and forcing to rebuild their half of the ship. Glowstrike planned to rebuild the ship to get them offworld; {{storylink|Decepticon Island (Part 1)}} while the Mini-Cons labored to rebuild the ship, {{storylink|Portals}} she and her new underlings started gathering materials.

She was left disappointed with the performances of [[Saberhorn]] and [[Kickback (RID)|Kickback]], even shooting at the latter, but was shortly afterwards introduced to [[Steeljaw (RID)|Steeljaw]]. {{storylink|Metal Meltdown}} After Steeljaw sprang a slew of ''Alchemor'' escapees from [[Denny Clay]]'s scrapyard, a pleased Glowstrike inspected the new recruits. She was impressed with ([[Clampdown (RID)|almost]]) all of them. Scorponok was captured in the prison break, but thanks to Steeljaw's manipulation Glowstrike assumed that her Decepticon comrade had turned traitor. {{storylink|Misdirection}}

[[File:TRID E 36 Glowstrike Insect Mode.jpg|thumb|right|250px|Ladybug, Ladybug fly away.]]
Returning from a mission with Saberhorn, Glowstrike congratulated Steeljaw on his recent victories. As a reward, she offered him a position in her growing command hierarchy. To prove his loyalty, she had him attack a [[Sharkticon (RID)|Sharkticon]], who had apparently been planning against her. Convinced that Steeljaw would serve her well, she instructed him to find a way to access the [[Decepticon Hunter]]s located in the ship's locked armory. {{storylink|Portals}}

Steeljaw managed to access the Decepticon Hunters, but used them to stage a coup against Glowstrike and Saberhorn. {{storylink|Decepticon Island (Part 1)}} They were paraded in front of the [[Autobot]]s when [[Bumblebee (WFC)|Bumblebee]]'s team led a raid on the crashed ship, and although Glowstrike tried to fight back with a discarded Decepticon Hunter, Steeljaw effortlessly disarmed her by shooting her, and Saberhorn, with his two Decepticon Hunters. Glowstrike and Saberhorn were frozen after the Autobots detonated a [[stasis bomb]] in the ship's ventilation system, along with the other Decepticons and then taken back to [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]] by [[Optimus Prime (WFC)|Optimus Prime]], [[Windblade (RID)|Windblade]], and [[Ratchet (WFC)|Ratchet]].
