On Cybertron, Zizza hypnotized numerous Cybertronians into doing her bidding. However, she failed to properly consolidate her power before the effects of her mind-control wore off, leading to her capture. She was imprisoned in a [[stasis pod]] and sent away from Cybertron aboard the prison ship ''[[Alchemor]]''. The ship eventually crashed on [[Earth]], setting her free.

Zizza eventually set up a new base of operations in a [[human]] airfield outside [[Crown City]], hypnotizing the airfield's staff. Her new "workers" began renovating the airfield to suit her demands, setting up heat lamps in the central hanger to accommodate her need for high temperatures. The pilots became her new "drones", flying regular patrols over the airfield and warding off any intruders.

Her signal was eventually detected by [[Bumblebee (WFC)|Bumblebee]]'s team and the visiting [[Windblade (RID)|Windblade]]. After evading Zizza's human subjects, Windblade, [[Strongarm (RID)|Strongarm]], [[Grimlock (RID 2015)|Grimlock]], and [[Sideswipe (RID)|Sideswipe]] broke into her new throne room. When Windblade threatened the Decepticon with arrest, Zizza retaliated by taking her two closest subjects hostage, threatening to kill the innocent humans if Windblade attacked. Strongarm tripped Windblade before she could call Zizza's bluff, and the four Autobots temporarily retreated.

The combined Autobot force eventually launched a second attack on Zizza's hive. While Grimlock distracted her drones, [[Slipstream (RID)|Slipstream]] and [[Jetstorm (RID)|Jetstorm]] cut power to the base, killing the heat lamps. Realizing her control was eroding, Zizza transformed into her flying insect mode and tried to flee, only to be intercepted by Strongarm. Some [[Decepticon]] leaders are bloodthirsty tyrants, others are ambitious schemers, but '''Glowstrike''' doesn't fall into either category. Cold and aloof, Glowstrike runs her platoon of Decepticons stringently and efficiently. She prefers to delegate her work to her underlings, whom she holds to very high standards. They'll finish their mission to the best of their ability... or they won't return at all. That said, those that ''do'' distinguish themselves in the field will be rewarded with a well-deserved promotions, as [[Steeljaw (RID)|Steeljaw]] can attest.

For those less-inclined Decepticons, Glowstrike isn't above using threats if the situation calls for it. Her ability to fire bolts of energy from her palms is always a great motivator. Glowstrike was one of the prisoners aboard the ''[[Alchemor]]''. When [[Megatronus]] caused the ship to crash-land on [[Earth]], she was freed from stasis. She, [[Saberhorn]], and [[Scorponok (WFC)|Scorponok]] staged a revolt against their [[Mini-Con]] prison wardens, enslaving them and forcing to rebuild their half of the ship. Glowstrike planned to rebuild the ship to get them offworld; {{storylink|Decepticon Island (Part 1)}} while the Mini-Cons labored to rebuild the ship, {{storylink|Portals}} she and her new underlings started gathering materials.

Returning from a mission with Saberhorn, Glowstrike congratulated Steeljaw on his recent victories. As a reward, she offered him a position in her growing command hierarchy. Convinced that Steeljaw would serve her well, she instructed him to find a way to access the [[Decepticon hunter]]s located in the ship's locked armory. {{storylink|Portals}}

Sometimes, however, they will additionally have red or otherwise different/darker coloration to their lips, with an evident similarity to human lipstick. Such paint-mouthed femmes include Blackarachnia in ''Beast Machines'', her [[Blackarachnia (Animated)|''Animated'' cousin]], and the [[Female Autobots|G1 Female Autobots]].

As far as males go, none of them have differently colored lips, but some do have noticeably thicker lips. ==Synopsis==
Though the mugger's bullet has done enough damage to splash some of his mech-fluids onto Spike's shirt, Metalhawk is none the worse for wear, but the glowing blue wound in his chest has blown his disguise. Vroom and Crossblades instantly tackle the thug, disarming him before he can shoot anyone again. As they try to figure out what they're going to do with the man, the actual police show up to arrest them! At the police station, the investigators assigned to interrogate the thug—Mendez—talk to Spike and co. With Mendez not talking, they begin to ask the Pretenders what happened—and why there were reports of a gunshot, but no bullets found at the scene. As Vroom almost nearly blows their cover, Elizabeth quickly covers for the others. Satisfied with what they've heard so far, the investigators let them go.

Several galaxies from Earth, on the planet [[Paradron]], Impactor walks the marketplace nearby a medical center. As he returns to check up on his [[Punch (G1)|friend]], he briefly questions [[Lifeline (G1)|Lifeline]] on her dangerous-looking "medical tools" before asking on his friend's status. Lifeline reveals that one of his pal's dual robot configurations had sustained heavy damage, and she was capable of only saving one of his robot modes. Outraged, Impactor starts to leave, before having some second thoughts...

Back on Earth, Ramjet expresses contempt that this Earth only contains humans. That is, before saying it doesn't matter and begins to pontificate on how soon he will destroy everything.

In Merida, Spike, Elizabeth and the Pretenders exit the police station... only to run into their mysterious stalker! Their stalker quickly states to them that he figured out that some of their number are Cybertronian. Despite Vroom trying to cover for them, the stalker explains he cares nothing about their charade, only that he has a message for them—specifically, a warning. That "he" will be here soon.
