Is it worth bringing up that this issue stating for the first time that Chromedome and Rewind are a couple is the first instance of a same-gender romantic relationship in the entire franchise, 2.5 years before gay marriage was legal in the US? :I think there's room for such a note, but C/R isn't the first same-gender couple. That'd be Tigatron/Airazor in Japan, and depending on how you define relationship, Akira/Cain precedes even them. A note like this would have to focus on the rep value in a purely American context (possibly with acknowledgement of the Japanese predecessors).
