IDW Transformers movie comics
Under the command of Soundwave, Beastbox was a crew member of the Nemesis on its mission to locate a Star Harvester. Together with Rumble, he tried to keep the ship under control after it was damaged in a collision with the Ark, but in the end the crew discarded it in order to pursue the Ark on a smaller ship. Convergence chapter 1
After humans who were unrelated to NEST intervened in a battle between Autobots and Decepticons, Beastbox was among the minions Soundwave dispatched to attack this new human threat, leaving one alive for interrogation. The operation was not a success, and eventually, Soundwave was forced to pull out his forces, including Beastbox. Nefarious issue 1
Beastbox later joined Buzzsaw, Rumble, Dirt Boss and Ratbat in saving the captured Soundwave from a Bumblebee led Autobot convoy in New Mexico. After Dirt Boss broke through the outer defenses, Rumble and Beastbox were sent in to face a bunch of robot tanks. The tanks blasted at Beastbox as he ripped into several of their number. Nefarious issue 4

Fiction
The Veiled Threat
A recent arrival to Earth, the hot-headed Knockout questioned the Autobots' alliance with the humans in NEST and Optimus Prime's concern for their safety. He didn't think the loss of a few humans "among their swarming billions" would be missed.

Knockout was sent to Peru along with Longarm, Epps, and Petr Andronov to investigate a Decepticon signal. As soon as Knockout sighted their enemies, he rushed off, only to come running back as Blademaster and Ruination chased him. After Longarm slapped him for being such an idiot, Knockout actually did a good job of helping in the ensuing fight, even saving the older Autobot's life by holding Ruination back.

Later, when the team was hunting Swindle and Deadend in Rome, Knockout was the one most capable of navigating the tight streets. He once again ran off on his own, but this time, he had good intentions; he got the two Decepticons to crash into each other, damaging them (albeit not severely) and annoying the hell out of Starscream. Knockout watched along with the other Autobots when the Decepticon commander challenged Optimus Prime to a fight, but they soon found themselves dealing with him instead when he tricked and trapped Optimus. But the Autobot leader soon arose, causing Starscream to take flight.

Later, Epps and Major Lennox were relaxing on the beach on Diego Garcia when Knockout came to them, saying something was about to happen and wondering what "shanghaied" meant. Transformers: The Veiled Threat
Knock Out was one of the Autobots sent to Florida to investigate the convergence to five unknown spark traces. However, as the team closed in on their target, they came under attack by Soundwave and were forced to fight back. The Decepticon soon withdrew, but his attack had distracted Knock Out and the others from the investigation, and the spark traces were already gone. Nefarious issue 1 After the mission, Knock Out returned to Edwards Air Force Base and watched as Director Galloway complained to Lennox that he hadn't been informed about new reinforcements like Knock Out and Jolt.
After Soundwave was captured by Optimus Prime, Knock Out and his fellow cadets, Jolt and Dune Runner, helped Bumblebee transport the Decepticon spymaster to a secure location. They were shot down en route and forced to deal with Dirt Boss and Soundwave's "familiars". Knock Out tried to flatten Ratbat like a bug on his windscreen, but soon it became clear the Decepticons were too much for the small squad to deal with. Having recently lost Breakaway in battle, Bumblebee deliberately freed Soundwave and let the Decepticons have him, rather than risk another death among his troops. Nefarious issue 3
Some time later, Knock Out was present at Diego Garcia when news reached NEST that Sam Witwicky was under attack from Decepticons.
Knock Out is a bit of a show-off. While quite flashy and skilled on the battlefield, he's also really insecure, and very desperate to receive attention from his comrades. He's also curious about this combination retrofit everyone's so crazy about.

His big dream is to lead his own special operations group.

IDW Transformers movie comics
Knock Out was one of the Autobots sent to Florida to investigate the convergence to five unknown spark traces. However, as the team closed in on their target, they came under attack by Soundwave and were forced to fight back. The Decepticon soon withdrew, but his attack had distracted Knock Out and the others from the investigation, and the spark traces were already gone. Nefarious issue 1 After the mission, Knock Out returned to Edwards Air Force Base and watched as Director Galloway complained to Lennox that he hadn't been informed about new reinforcements like Knock Out and Jolt. Apparently, Galloway was unaware that Knock Out had already been part of NEST for quite some time. Nefarious issue 2

Knock Out joined the rest of the NEST team when they tracked down the mysterious Initiative at Crater Lake. Nefarious issue 5 They were nearly destroyed by the artificial Allspark powered created by Carter Newell, but the insane human's reach exceed his grasp, and the power was taken away from him. Nefarious issue 6

Some time later, Knock Out was present at Diego Garcia when news reached NEST that Sam Witwicky was under attack from Decepticons. While the other Autobots moved out, he, Jolt and Dune Runner were left behind to keep an eye on the Autobot refugees who had earlier been liberated from the Initiative. Rising Storm issue 2 Knock Out was spending his time on duty playing cards (and cheating) with two human soldiers when Shockwave suddenly arrived on the island. He was easy prey for the powerful Decepticon, who killed him and threw his corpse through the base's wall. Rising Storm issue 3
:Knock Out is part of the first wave of Revenge of the Fallen Scout Class figures. He transforms into a green racing motorcycle. Similar to Bumblebee, his right hand is morphed in a plasma cannon. The vehicle cowling panels, which become leg kibble in robot mode, are only held in place by pegs and tend to fall off during conversion. His waist does not peg into his torso and becomes dislodged by simply moving his legs (as seen in Hasbro's stock photography on the right).
He also has absolutely nothing to do with dirt, bossing, or even embossing. Huh.
* Dirt Boss's Hasbro stock photography shows him sporting grey forearms and hands with green forks, but on the toy itself, these colors are reversed. The stock photos also sport more red on the chest.
Notes
* Dirt Boss is quite possibly the most contradictory character in recent years. He appears alongside Constructicons and shares a name, color and alternate mode with a Constructicon appearing in Animated, but is not a Constructicon. His body design is nearly identical to Scrapper from the first movie's video game, but, well, he's not that Scrapper.

Many years ago, Smokescreen was a member of the Cybertronian defense force under the command of Protector Megatron. After the discovery of ancient relic and an alien attack on Cybertron, Defiance issue 1 Protector Megatron changed the military's mission of defense to one of offensive war. Defiance issue 2 Smokescreen was sent with Prowl and other security officers to arrest science division leader Optimus on trumped-up charges of treason. What they didn't know was the military was leading all of them into a trap, and that all bar Optimus were marked for death. After the group was shelled by Brawl in Metrotitan, Smokescreen laid down a Disruption Cloud to cover their escape, though he was concerned for Optimus's safety against so many enemies. Optimus merely replied that he would "make do" - by dropping a city on Starscream's would-be assassins. Defiance issue 3

After the fugitives established a hide out at Burthov, Smokescreen acted as a sentry guard and assisted Bumblebee in the capture of the disenchanted Ironhide. Defiance issue 4 He was later present in a crowd of Autobots watching as the Decepticons launched the Nemesis. Foundation issue 3 Years later, as the civil war came to a climax, Optimus Prime revealed his plan to capture the AllSpark and ferry it away aboard the Ark. As it turned out, Prime's real plan was to blast the Cube into deep space, buying the Autobots valuable time, and then chase after it in their ship. Smokescreen was one of those who volunteered to crew the ship during the search. Defiance issue 4

Thousands of years later, following the defeat of Megatron on Earth, Smokescreen was part of a small Autobot unit led by Arcee that tracked Starscream, now the leader of the Decepticons, to his base on Mars. The Reign of Starscream issue 2 After laying down a diversionary Ion Cloud, Smokescreen and the others made short work of the Swindle, Dreadwing, and Payload drones that the Decepticons sent against them. He narrowly escaped being sniped by Hardtop, thanks to Arcee, but soon fell victim to Thundercracker's sonic weaponry. He attempted to evacuate the fallen Air Raid, but they were both blown to oblivion by Starscream. The Reign of Starscream issue 3
Bumblebee gave the orders and that order was to hold position, so naturally Armorhide transformed into truck mode and rammed the drone forces. Transformers Comic issue 16
He also found the time to paint himself green. Transformers Comic issue 17 He then changed his mind and decided to be blue-and-white again. More worrying than fashion, however, were a Decepticon force powered by Nucleon; even he knew it would be stupid to have a straight fight, and said as much. Instead, he and Arcee provided a distraction by making a tactical withdrawal. Transformers Comic issue 18

The chaos of Unicron's arrival ended the battle with the Decepticons, though Armorhide was annoyed to hear Stockade thought planet-warping death-gods were more important than killing him. He also found the time to go back to black. Transformers Comic issue 19 When Optimus Prime arrived and united both sides to drain the Nucleon from Unicron's new body, Armorhide was dispatched to work with Bumblebee in doing the actual draining. Transformers Comic issue 20

Many years ago, Armorhide was a civilian during the reign of Protector Megatron and science division leader Optimus. This peaceful existence ended when a mysterious relic was discovered outside the temple of Simfur, and Megatron changed the military's mission of defending Cybertron to open conquest, Armorhide joined with Optimus Prime's new faction, the Autobots. He was hiding out at an Autobot facility when Ironhide arrived to offer his allegiance to Optimus. During the subsequent civil war, He was present when Optimus Prime revealed his plan to capture the All Spark, and due to the lack of space on the Ark, some Autobots would have to stay behind. Armorhide was among those who volunteered to stay. Defiance issue 4

Thousands of years later and shortly after the destruction of Megatron and the Cube on Earth, Armorhide part of a group of Autobots awaiting the order to move out and rescue fellow Autobots who had been captured by the Decepticons to build Starscream's new All Spark cube. With the return of Arcee, they moved out. The Reign of Starscream issue 4
When Dreadwing's forces betrayed Starscream at Simfur, Armorhide, Crosshairs. Clocker and Arcee created havoc by destroying the new All Spark cube and fighting the rebel Decepticon forces. Armorhide was pinned by Ramjet, and would have been killed if Crosshairs hadn't lopped the Decepticon's head off. He managed to escape with the other Autobots when Dreadwing's starship came crashing down to Trypticon, destroying the once-magnificent Decepticon city. The Reign of Starscream issue 5
:In robot mode, Armorhide's rifle can be back-mounted to make an over-shoulder cannon, or held in his hand. Blazemaster was working with NEST in Cairo, trying to bring in the escaped Reverb. The Decepticon knew of Blazemaster, who decided to cut off his retreat with a huge-ass wall of FIERY DEATH and then blew him through a building with a bomb strike. Blazemaster was then a bit shocked to find NEST weren't happy that he'd set a huge part of Cairo on effing fire rather than following the "contained capture" briefing.
The Autobot bravely went for a sulk, deciding from that putdown and the growing anti-Autobot feeling that his talents were wasted on Earth and he should leave. : Blazemaster transforms into a gold and blue Eurocopter Dauphin helicopter. The cockpit has translucent blue plastic, through which Blazemaster's head is amusingly visible. Channel 7 Action News tampographs are on both sides of the fuselage, and 7 News tampos on the tail. The top propeller can be spun using a gear-driven action by pressing the small blue button just under it. The tail rotor cannot move.

: In robot mode, the top rotor can be used as a spinning weapon, or split in half to sit on both arms. There are some issues with this, however, as the propeller does not like to sit in the position shown in the instructions (it tends to rotate down), and the second piece does not fit snugly into its socket, which has one side open to accommodate conversion. There are also a pair of thumbs inside the engine cowling halves that convert into Blazemaster's arms, despite him not having actual hands.

: Blazemaster's deco is different from the stock toy photograph shown on the back of the card, which shows many of the white areas colored gold.
Brawn lives to pit himself against physical challenges and to prove his mighty strength. In his opinion, the Autobot alliance with NEST is a great thing, as it gives him ready opportunity to do just that. Brawn possesses special indestructible fists that he's dying to put to the test against the legendary Decepticon powerhouse Rampage.
Brawn, along with Smokescreen and Wideload, had the misfortune to be on duty at NEST's South African prison when Bludgeon staged a jailbreak! The Autobot took charge, telling his partners things were likely to get ugly, and ordered Smokescreen to stay behind him while he, having tougher armour, soaked up enemy firepower. Unfortunately, it proved too much and despite his determination, Brawn fell before Bludgeon's might. He would have died if reinforcements hadn't turned up, and was horrified when (to prevent civilian casualties) those reinforcements let the Decepticons go, in full view of the human media. Transformers Comic issue 2.13
He snarled back that he was the type of go-getting hardass who got things done and didn't mess about with all that second-guessing pencil-pusher stuff that got people killed, only to be told by NEST's Klammer that Blazemaster's actions were just turning public opinion against them.

The Autobot bravely went for a sulk, deciding from that putdown and the growing anti-Autobot feeling that his talents were wasted on Earth and he should leave. To his surprise, he was then intercepted by Skywarp...who, despite a brief clash, revealed he wasn't trying to fight him but recruit him for Bludgeon's paramilitary. His actions in Cairo showed he had potential! Blazemaster was horrified that the Decepticons thought he was a natural for their unit and rejected the offer, but Skywarp flew off, telling him to live with the fact that he had all the credentials to be a villain... Transformers Comic issue 2.16
