One million years ago, Optimus Prime was in the satellite room of Autobot Headquarters in [[Cyber City]] when [[Hot Shot (Armada)|Hot Shot]] unexpectedly arrived, carrying unsettling news of an attack on the [[Mini-Con]] Village D-10 by Transformers calling themselves "[[Decepticon]]s". {{storylink|Dreamwave Armada issue 1}} While the Autobots investigated the remains of Mini-Con Village D-52, Optimus Prime demanded that they find clues as to what had occurred, as he did not know why the Mini-Cons had been taken and feared that these Decepticons had started a civil war. Soon afterwards, [[Megatron (Armada)|Megatron]] and his Decepticons invaded Cyber City and declared that the inhabitants now belonged to him. The Autobots arrived to defend the city, but were soundly beaten by the Mini-Con augmented Decepticons. Over the next million years, the Mini-Con empowered Decepticons steadily conquered the planet. Concerned that the conflict could escalate and put other worlds at risk, the [[Universal Peacekeeping Committee]] sent the famed mediator [[Fflaxl]] to the relatively unknown [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]] in an attempt to settle the dispute between the Autobot and Decepticon "tribes" peacefully. However, just as he arrived, Megatron and Optimus Prime were in the midst of a battle, and Optimus Prime was sent flying, eventually landing on [[Bix]], Fflaxl's bodyguard. The diplomat, seeing the scale of the war and its participants, decided that some conflicts were best left untouched and that everything would work out in the end. {{storylink|Armada Preview}} Meanwhile, the [[Exodus (Armada)|Mini-Con escape ship]] crash landed on a distant world known as [[Earth]], dispersing the occupants all over the planet. A member of the indigenous [[human]] species, [[Rad White]], stumbled upon the crash site and inadvertently activated the Mini-Con homing device, where it was detected by both Autobot and Decepticon forces. The Autobots led by Optimus Prime used the [[space bridge]] to travel to Earth, unfortunately appearing right in front of a [[Miss Ruby|group of human children]] on a field trip to the [[Allspark Power Generator Station]]. Optimus Prime quickly decided that stealth was of the utmost importance and that they should minimize contact with the local inhabitants, a policy that was questioned by [[Smokescreen (Armada)|Smokescreen]] and [[Scavenger (Armada)|Scavenger]], who just wished to tear through the planet to find the Mini-Cons, as their own troubles were of greater concern. This brought on them an angry rebuke from Optimus who declared that they weren't about to endanger Earth or its inhabitants to serve Autobot interests, but he also understood their frustration, telling them to save their anger for the Decepticons. Meanwhile, the Decepticons had also arrived on Earth and were giving chase to Rad, [[Alexis]], [[Carlos Lopez|Carlos]] and their Mini-Con friends, [[Sparkplug (Armada)|Sparkplug]] and the [[Street Action Mini-Con Team (Armada)|Street Action Team]]. As [[Starscream (Armada)|Starscream]] and [[Cyclonus (Armada)|Cyclonus]] caught up to the fugitives, Optimus Prime and Scavenger appeared and knocking them out of the sky. {{storylink|Dreamwave Armada issue 4}}

When Megatron arrived on the scene, Optimus Prime bided his time while Smokescreen got into position and distracted his enemy by trash talking, mocking that for all of Megatron's Mini-Con-enhanced power, he had continually failed to defeat the Autobots. Alexis thought that he was a "big red blabbermouth" while Carlos opined that it was like watching a wrestling match due to all the talking they were doing before fighting. Suddenly, Smokescreen pulverised the cliff Megatron was perched upon, burying the Decepticon leader in rubble. At first, Prime was able to beat on Megatron, but the Decepticon's Mini-Con advantage proved too much, and Megatron [[Powerlinx]]ed with all of his Mini-Cons, intending to obliterate all of Prime's circuits for his disrespect. Fortunately, [[Jolt (Armada)|Jolt]]'s team of Mini-Cons arrived, saving Rad and the others, then Powerlinking with the Autobots to force the Decepticons into retreat. The Mini-Cons requested an alliance with the Autobots, on the condition that they were equals in partnership. Optimus Prime agreed, stating the Autobots desperately needed the Mini-Cons' powers, but it was ultimately the choice of the diminutive robots to make. With the alliance formed, Optimus Prime ordered the Autobots to find suitable Earth vehicle modes and the construction of a local headquarters, for he had a feeling they were going to stay on this alien world for a long time. {{storylink|Dreamwave Armada issue 5}}

Later, Optimus Prime sought out the kids at the [[Black Hills]] to tell them goodbye, as he felt they had been dragged into their war too deeply already. He wanted Sparkplug's support in the decision, but before the Mini-Con could fully voice his opinion, he received an emergency transmission from [[Sonar (Armada)|Sonar]] of the [[Air Defense Mini-Con Team (Armada)|Air Defense Mini-Con Team]], who were under attack by the Decepticons in [[Rapid City]], [[South Dakota]]. Sparkplug proposed a covert rescue operation, but Optimus Prime flatly refused, fearing the Autobot Mini-Cons could be captured by the Decepticons. Fed up with Prime telling them what they could and couldn't do, the Mini-Cons and the kids went on their own. {{storylink|Dreamwave Armada issue 6}} Meanwhile, Megatron had modified and forced the Air Defense Team to powerlink together to form the mighty [[Star Saber (Armada)|Star Saber]], and used it to attack the [[Autobase (Armada)|Autobase]] in [[Nebraska|Lincoln]]. During the ensuing battle, Optimus Prime implored for the Air Defense Team to resist Megatron's manipulations and free themselves, as the power came from the three of them, not the one weapon, a concept that Megatron found unfathomable, as all he cared about was controlling the power. Sparkplug and the others returned to make amends, powerlinking with the Autobots to give them the edge they needed. Now on equal footing, Optimus fought back, telling Megatron and the Air Defense Team that it was about ''respect'': respect for the power and for the individual. The Air Defense Team broke free of their bonds and attacked the Decepticon leader. After the Decepticons retreated, so too did the [[Land Military Mini-Con Team|Land Military Team]] and the Air Defense Team. Soon afterwards, a monolith crashed in Tranquility, [[Kansas]] and sent out a signal which summoned all Mini-Cons on Earth to converge at the monolith's location. [[Red Alert (Armada)|Red Alert]] was not especially concerned considering the Autobot Mini-Cons could come and go as they pleased and that they might have just needed some time to cool off, but Optimus Prime was worried: after the situation with the Air Defense Team, he was unsure of what they might do next. While the Mini-Cons were in their trance-like state, the Decepticons arrived, intent on claiming all of Earth's Mini-Cons for themselves. Rad used Sparkplug's communications systems to call Optimus Prime for help, which soon arrived. Unfortunately, while the Autobots and Decepticons fought amongst themselves, the Mini-Cons (and Rad) entered the monolith and blasted off into space. {{storylink|Dreamwave Armada issue 8}} As the Autobots left for home, Optimus Prime explained to the kids the significance of the giant Mini-Con symbol that had been burned into the ground and that Rad had been taken to the [[Moon (moon)|Moon]]. He also told them the story about how the Mini-Cons had escaped Cybertron and eventually crashed their ship on the Moon, breaking it in half and sending the bow to Earth. Optimus' only plan was to wait for Megatron to make his move, and try to stop them, for they had no options for reaching the Moon that would not require specialised equipment or actions that would compromise their security on Cybertron. However, an opportunity provided itself when the majority of the Decepticon left for the Moon {{storylink|Dreamwave Armada issue 9}}, allowing Hot Shot and Red Alert to erase any Decepticon sensor logs while Optimus Prime used the space bridge to travel to the Autobase on Cybertron. Unfortunately, [[Jetfire (Armada)|Jetfire]] had his hands full and resented Optimus Prime not leading the Autobots on Cybertron. However, Optimus did manage to get his hands on an [[Autobot shuttle|Autobot Transport Gunship]] {{storylink|Dreamwave Armada issue 10}}, which he used to travel to the Moon. Unbeknownst to Optimus, however, the selfish and cruel [[Destruction Mini-Con Team|Destruction Team]] leader [[Dualor]] had strapped Rad into one of the space mines protecting to Moon, and now Optimus was preparing to destroy the minefield, but he hesitated. While Sparkplug's Mini-Con friends and the [[Space Mini-Con Team|Space Team]] were working on rescuing Rad, Optimus Prime realised an itchy trigger finger would be disastrous. Optimus correctly deduced that [[Sky Blast]] meant no harm and allowed him to dock with the gunship whilst towing the dummy mine containing Rad. After blasting Cyclonus into pieces for attacking their ship, Optimus thanked Sky Blast for his help, and gave those back on the [[Mini-Con Fortress Base]] transportation to Earth promising them that he and his compatriots were in for a lot of changes in how the Autobots treated them. {{storylink|Dreamwave Armada issue 11}}

Prime's word was soon tested when two crises occurred at the same time: Scavenger and Smokescreen had detected the Decepticons building some sort of rocket launch facility in Death Valley, [[California]], and a Mini-Con escape pod from the Moon had been detected in northern [[Alaska]]. At first, the Autobot leader preferred to deal with the Decepticon situation, until Sparkplug convinced him that if he didn't assist the Mini-Cons, the ones in the Autobase would be walking out. With political concerns in mind, Optimus Prime offered the full resources of the Autobots in mounting a rescue mission, which seemed to satisfy the fractious Mini-Cons. {{storylink|Fire & Ice}} Unfortunately, additional problems presented themselves when [[Cyclonus (Armada)|Cyclonus]], overjuiced on the full power of the Destruction Team, began attacking any and all targets while Megatron was blasting them with his [[Solar Scalpel]], a superweapon deployed from the rocket in Death Valley. With little choice, Optimus asked Sparkplug to powerlink with him at maximum power, enabling the Autobot to defeat Cyclonus. With the crisis averted and the Mini-Cons rescued, a disappointed Optimus asked Sparkplug why he had been holding back on him, as he thought they trusted one another. As Sparkplug told him the legend of the Mini-Cons having the power to save the universe or destroy it, Optimus was suddenly taken to Cybertron, where he witnessed its destruction...{{storylink|Dreamwave Armada issue 13}}

While the Autobots tried to figure out what had happened to him, Optimus wandered across the blasted ruins of Cybertron, he discovered [[Spinister (G1)|a lone survivor]], who had been reduced to a gibbering wreck. {{Storylink|Worlds Collide, Part 1 of 4}} Optimus Prime refused to believe the confused, fragmented story the survivor told: Prince of Nothingness came, the heavens opened up, and their final judgment was pronounced. All those who fought perished and everything was destroyed. {{Storylink|Worlds Collide, Part 2 of 4}} As [[Unicron]], the devourer of worlds closed in on Cybertron, Optimus begged the survivor to tell him of any way to fight back against the monster. {{Storylink|Worlds Collide, Part 3 of 4}} Sadly, the survivor was beyond help, allowing himself to be sucked into the oblivion of Unicron's maw, despite Optimus' pleas for him to resist. Unicron noticed the lone Cybertronian and took the form of the survivor, proclaiming that like this reality's [[Optimus Prime (Worlds Collide)|Optimus Prime]], the Autobot would fall and his universe would be consumed - the gateway was being prepared by his heralds. Suddenly, Jetfire appeared, having jumped through a space bridge portal after destroying the Decepticon space bridge nexus that Unicron's heralds were using to open up space for their master to enter that reality. As this fallen Cybertron crumbled, Sparkplug, [[Comettor]] and the mysterious Mini-Con [[Over-Run (Armada)|Over-Run]] appeared, having crossed realities to find the Autobot leader. Over-Run handed Optimus the [[Mini-Con Matrix]], the essence of this doomed Cybertron's Mini-Cons, giving the two Autobots the power to transform and combine into Jet Optimus. With one mighty blast, Jet Optimus delivered a broadside to Unicron, giving them enough time to escape back to their reality. {{Storylink|Worlds Collide, Part 4 of 4}}

With the fate of their universe at stake, Optimus called on the Mini-Cons scattered on Earth to join the Autobots and Decepticons in fighting Unicron. As Cybertron's general, Optimus stood as the bulwark against the Chaos Bringer's onslaught, leading their combined forces until the Mini-Cons united their power to delivery an almighty blast at Unicron, sending him back into the unknown. Ten years after the defeat of Unicron, Over-Run showed Prime how to commune with Cybertron itself. Doing so reformatted the Autobot leader into a body capable of [[Powerlinx|Powerlinking]] with a team of [[Prime Force|'drone' vehicles]], and granted him (and the other Autobots) the ability to combine with each other.

Upon returning to Earth, he decided that the Autobots would no longer hide from the inhabitants, but work with them openly. This decision led, among other things, to the Autobots' induction into the UN.

When last seen ''(before the bankruptcy of [[Dreamwave Productions]])'', he was attempting to escape from within the remains of [[Unicron]], after Megatron's trapped spark used him to regain his freedom.

So frequent were their clashes, and so familiar were they to each other, the pair eventually became friends, and Scavenger signed up with the Autobots. Seeing great potential in the young Autobot leader, Scavenger taught Optimus Prime how to fight in hand-to-hand combat. Later, veteran Autobot [[Landmine (Energon)|Landmine]] trained Optimus in [[metallikato]] shortly before leaving [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]] with [[Rodimus (Energon)|Rodimus]]. Optimus later notes that their training made him the warrior and soldier he is today. {{storylink|Trust (Armada)|Trust}}

Many years later, it was a more mature Optimus Prime that led a small Autobot unit to [[Earth]] after the activation of the [[Mini-Con]] homing beacon. This beacon signaled to all the Transformers on Cybertron that the much-coveted Mini-Cons had survived their million years-long disappearance. After warping to Earth, Optimus saved [[Rad White|three]] [[Carlos Lopez|human]] [[Alexis|children]] from the [[Decepticon]] leader, [[Megatron (Armada)|Megatron]], who arrived on the alien world first.

Clashing with his arch enemy, Optimus Prime bought the children and their Mini-Con [[High Wire (Armada)|High Wire]] time to escape while around them, other Transformers warped into the battlefield. Later, after the Decepticons had reformatted themselves into suitable new vehicle modes, Optimus Prime saved the children again, joined by his two subordinates [[Red Alert (Armada)|Red Alert]] and [[Hot Shot (Armada)|Hot Shot]]. {{storylink|First Encounter}}

Befriending these children, he introduced his crew of Autobots to them. The children aided Prime as he led his crew around the world, searching for the long-lost Mini-Con Transformers, before the Decepticon forces could take them and use them for their own evil deeds.

Soon afterward, both the Autobots and Decepticons detected a Mini-Con signal located in the [[Grand Canyon]]. With the help of the kids, Optimus Prime managed to pinpoint the location of the Mini-Con panel before he was confronted by [[Megatron (Armada)|Megatron]], powerlinked to [[Leader-1 (Armada)|Leader-1]]. Outgunned, Optimus Prime was saved when Starscream arrogantly underestimated the [[Street Action Mini-Con Team (Armada)|Street Action Team's]] combined form of [[Perceptor (Armada)|Perceptor]]. This distraction gave Optimus the opportunity to activate the Mini-Con panel, revealing that its occupant was [[Sparkplug (Armada)|Sparkplug]], Optimus Prime's old Mini-Con partner and friend. Together they Powerlinked, activating Optimus' powerful Maximum Blast which sendt the Decepticons into retreat. {{storylink|Comrade}}

Through the treachery of [[Sideways (RID)|Sideways]] and [[Thrust (Armada)|Thrust]], the Decepticons managed to secure all three of the [[Star Saber (Armada)|legendary]] [[Skyboom (Armada)|Mini-Con]] [[Requiem Blaster|weapons]] that form the [[Hydra Cannon]], the most powerful weapon in the universe. Mounting their new doomsday device aboard a starship, Megatron decided to wipe out the Autobot base on Earth, regardless of the massive collateral damage to the planet itself. Optimus Prime and Jetfire launched a pre-emptive strike against the warship in the hopes of disabling the weapon and rescuing the Mini-Cons. Under the leadership of Hot Shot, the other Autobots gave chase to the Decepticons aboard the [[Axalon (Armada)|Axalon]]. During a confrontation with their enemies, the Mini-Cons reached out to each other and resurrected Optimus from within the Matrix. After Unicron's apparent defeat, both Optimus Prime and Galvatron succumbed to their base natures and had one last battle within the Chaos Bringer. Fighting each other to a standstill, both were surprised when Unicron suddenly came back to life, feeding off their hate for each other. Galvatron was drawn toward Unicron's maw, with Prime holding onto his tank treads, telling him to hold on. His nemesis then made the decision to sacrifice his life, giving Prime a final victory, so that Unicron might be destroyed and their race would survive.

In the aftermath, Optimus Prime reflected that he didn't deserve the [[Matrix of Leadership]] and left both the Autobots and Cybertron for places unknown. {{storylink|Mortal Combat}}

8,000 eons ago, Optimus Prime stayed on Cybertron to continue its defense, even as Rodimus led a group of Transformers away from the planet, into space, in search of a new home. {{storylink|The Legend of Rodimus}}

A few years after the defeat of Unicron, Optimus Prime returned from exile to a newly-unified Cybertron where Autobots and Decepticons lived side-by-side in peace. Reassuming leadership of the Autobots, Optimus Prime established a dialogue with the Earth governments with the help of his human friends. Earth sent a delegation to Cybertron, consisting of the three kids and [[Brian Jones (Energon)|Dr. Brian Jones]], the foremost expert in the newly discovered ore [[Energon (Energon)|energon]] that both worlds coveted.

Jones brought along his young son, [[Kicker Jones|Chad]] (also known as 'Kicker'), who was frightened by the tall, menacing robots. When the boy ran away to a ruined and abandoned part of Cybertron, Optimus Prime gave chase, warning Kicker that the area was strictly off limits. The boy accidentally fell and found his way into a massive darkened chamber where an energy being known as [[Primus]] saved him. Optimus Prime found his way into the chamber just as Primus evolved the human child. Sometime after this, Primus (now known as the creator-god of the Transformers), gave Optimus the [[Spark of Combination]], allowing Optimus to grant combining powers to other Autobots. Prime could also now combine with a [[Prime Force|squad of four drone vehicles]], which rode around with him in his trailer when not in use.

Almost a decade later, the energon mining facilities in Sol's asteroid belt, as well as their base on [[Mars (planet)|Mars]], were attacked by a mysterious force of beast-like Transformers. Primus warned Optimus that the enemy was after the energon, causing Optimus to assemble a unit so he could personally assess the situation. Finding no life on Mars, his unit then moved to Earth, where he saved Kicker and Ocean City from an attack by the same creatures. {{storylink|Cybertron City (episode)|Cybertron City}}

Prime agreed to the evacuation of Ocean City, then led a counterattack against the Terrorcons at [[Lunar City]]. In the early stages of the war, Optimus Prime was shocked to learn of a full-scale Decepticon assault on the Autobot Command HQ. As he organized the defenses, he was contacted by the [[Mini-Con]] [[Sparkplug (Armada)|Sparkplug]], who warned him that [[Dualor]] had planted explosives around the base in order to lure [[Megatron (Armada)|Megatron]] in and destroy him. Prime subsequently ordered for the evacuation of the base before Dualor blew it up. {{storylink|Panini Armada issue 9|Counter-Strike!}} He and his troops were still fighting the Decepticons a few million years later, but it was a losing battle. Arriving in the Amazon, he familiarized himself with the territory before going and recovering the first Mini-Con Panel. (Which Mini-Con it is varies with the game difficulty, with [[Lock-On]] being released on the first two difficulty levels). This brought on them an angry rebuke from Optimus who declared that they weren't about to endanger Earth or its inhabitants to serve Autobot interests, but he also understood their frustration, telling them to save their anger for the Decepticons. Meanwhile, the Decepticons had also arrived on Earth and were giving chase to Rad, [[Alexis]], [[Carlos Lopez|Carlos]] and their Mini-Con friends, [[Sparkplug (Armada)|Sparkplug]] and the [[Street Action Mini-Con Team (Armada)|Street Action Team]]. As [[Starscream (Armada)|Starscream]] and [[Cyclonus (Armada)|Cyclonus]] caught up to the fugitives, Optimus Prime and Scavenger appeared and knocking them out of the sky. {{storylink|Dreamwave Armada issue 4}}

When Megatron arrived on the scene, Optimus Prime bided his time while Smokescreen got into position and distracted his enemy by trash talking, mocking that for all of Megatron's Mini-Con-enhanced power, he had continually failed to defeat the Autobots. Alexis thought that he was a "big red blabbermouth" while Carlos opined that it was like watching a wrestling match due to all the talking they were doing before fighting. Suddenly, Smokescreen pulverised the cliff Megatron was perched upon, burying the Decepticon leader in rubble. At first, Prime was able to beat on Megatron, but the Decepticon's Mini-Con advantage proved too much, and Megatron [[Powerlinx]]ed with all of his Mini-Cons, intending to obliterate all of Prime's circuits for his disrespect. Fortunately, [[Jolt (Armada)|Jolt]]'s team of Mini-Cons arrived, saving Rad and the others, then Powerlinking with the Autobots to force the Decepticons into retreat. The Mini-Cons requested an alliance with the Autobots, on the condition that they were equals in partnership. Optimus Prime agreed, stating the Autobots desperately needed the Mini-Cons' powers, but it was ultimately the choice of the diminutive robots to make. With the alliance formed, Optimus Prime ordered the Autobots to find suitable Earth vehicle modes and the construction of a local headquarters, for he had a feeling they were going to stay on this alien world for a long time. {{storylink|Dreamwave Armada issue 5}}

Later, Optimus Prime sought out the kids at the [[Black Hills]] to tell them goodbye, as he felt they had been dragged into their war too deeply already. He wanted Sparkplug's support in the decision, but before the Mini-Con could fully voice his opinion, he received an emergency transmission from [[Sonar (Armada)|Sonar]] of the [[Air Defense Mini-Con Team (Armada)|Air Defense Mini-Con Team]], who were under attack by the Decepticons in [[Rapid City]], [[South Dakota]]. Sparkplug proposed a covert rescue operation, but Optimus Prime flatly refused, fearing the Autobot Mini-Cons could be captured by the Decepticons. Fed up with Prime telling them what they could and couldn't do, the Mini-Cons and the kids went on their own. {{storylink|Dreamwave Armada issue 6}} Meanwhile, Megatron had modified and forced the Air Defense Team to powerlink together to form the mighty [[Star Saber (Armada)|Star Saber]], and used it to attack the [[Autobase (Armada)|Autobase]] in [[Nebraska|Lincoln]]. During the ensuing battle, Optimus Prime implored for the Air Defense Team to resist Megatron's manipulations and free themselves, as the power came from the three of them, not the one weapon, a concept that Megatron found unfathomable, as all he cared about was controlling the power. Sparkplug and the others returned to make amends, powerlinking with the Autobots to give them the edge they needed. Now on equal footing, Optimus fought back, telling Megatron and the Air Defense Team that it was about ''respect'': respect for the power and for the individual. The Air Defense Team broke free of their bonds and attacked the Decepticon leader. After the Decepticons retreated, so too did the [[Land Military Mini-Con Team|Land Military Team]] and the Air Defense Team. Soon afterwards, a monolith crashed in Tranquility, [[Kansas]] and sent out a signal which summoned all Mini-Cons on Earth to converge at the monolith's location. [[Red Alert (Armada)|Red Alert]] was not especially concerned considering the Autobot Mini-Cons could come and go as they pleased and that they might have just needed some time to cool off, but Optimus Prime was worried: after the situation with the Air Defense Team, he was unsure of what they might do next. While the Mini-Cons were in their trance-like state, the Decepticons arrived, intent on claiming all of Earth's Mini-Cons for themselves. Rad used Sparkplug's communications systems to call Optimus Prime for help, which soon arrived. Unfortunately, while the Autobots and Decepticons fought amongst themselves, the Mini-Cons (and Rad) entered the monolith and blasted off into space. {{storylink|Dreamwave Armada issue 8}} As the Autobots left for home, Optimus Prime explained to the kids the significance of the giant Mini-Con symbol that had been burned into the ground and that Rad had been taken to the [[Moon (moon)|Moon]]. He also told them the story about how the Mini-Cons had escaped Cybertron and eventually crashed their ship on the Moon, breaking it in half and sending the bow to Earth. Optimus' only plan was to wait for Megatron to make his move, and try to stop them, for they had no options for reaching the Moon that would not require specialised equipment or actions that would compromise their security on Cybertron. However, an opportunity provided itself when the majority of the Decepticon left for the Moon {{storylink|Dreamwave Armada issue 9}}, allowing Hot Shot and Red Alert to erase any Decepticon sensor logs while Optimus Prime used the space bridge to travel to the Autobase on Cybertron. Unfortunately, [[Jetfire (Armada)|Jetfire]] had his hands full and resented Optimus Prime not leading the Autobots on Cybertron. However, Optimus did manage to get his hands on an [[Autobot shuttle|Autobot Transport Gunship]] {{storylink|Dreamwave Armada issue 10}}, which he used to travel to the Moon. Unbeknownst to Optimus, however, the selfish and cruel [[Destruction Mini-Con Team|Destruction Team]] leader [[Dualor]] had strapped Rad into one of the space mines protecting to Moon, and now Optimus was preparing to destroy the minefield, but he hesitated. While Sparkplug's Mini-Con friends and the [[Space Mini-Con Team|Space Team]] were working on rescuing Rad, Optimus Prime realised an itchy trigger finger would be disastrous. Optimus correctly deduced that [[Sky Blast]] meant no harm and allowed him to dock with the gunship whilst towing the dummy mine containing Rad. After blasting Cyclonus into pieces for attacking their ship, Optimus thanked Sky Blast for his help, and gave those back on the [[Mini-Con Fortress Base]] transportation to Earth promising them that he and his compatriots were in for a lot of changes in how the Autobots treated them. {{storylink|Dreamwave Armada issue 11}}

Prime's word was soon tested when two crises occurred at the same time: Scavenger and Smokescreen had detected the Decepticons building some sort of rocket launch facility in Death Valley, [[California]], and a Mini-Con escape pod from the Moon had been detected in northern [[Alaska]]. At first, the Autobot leader preferred to deal with the Decepticon situation, until Sparkplug convinced him that if he didn't assist the Mini-Cons, the ones in the Autobase would be walking out. With political concerns in mind, Optimus Prime offered the full resources of the Autobots in mounting a rescue mission, which seemed to satisfy the fractious Mini-Cons. {{storylink|Fire & Ice}} Unfortunately, additional problems presented themselves when [[Cyclonus (Armada)|Cyclonus]], overjuiced on the full power of the Destruction Team, began attacking any and all targets while Megatron was blasting them with his [[Solar Scalpel]], a superweapon deployed from the rocket in Death Valley. With little choice, Optimus asked Sparkplug to powerlink with him at maximum power, enabling the Autobot to defeat Cyclonus. With the crisis averted and the Mini-Cons rescued, a disappointed Optimus asked Sparkplug why he had been holding back on him, as he thought they trusted one another. As Sparkplug told him the legend of the Mini-Cons having the power to save the universe or destroy it, Optimus was suddenly taken to Cybertron, where he witnessed its destruction...{{storylink|Dreamwave Armada issue 13}}

While the Autobots tried to figure out what had happened to him, Optimus wandered across the blasted ruins of Cybertron, he discovered [[Spinister (G1)|a lone survivor]], who had been reduced to a gibbering wreck. {{Storylink|Worlds Collide, Part 1 of 4}} Optimus Prime refused to believe the confused, fragmented story the survivor told: Prince of Nothingness came, the heavens opened up, and their final judgment was pronounced. Suddenly, Jetfire appeared, having jumped through a space bridge portal after destroying the Decepticon space bridge nexus that Unicron's heralds were using to open up space for their master to enter that reality. As this fallen Cybertron crumbled, Sparkplug, [[Comettor]] and the mysterious Mini-Con [[Over-Run (Armada)|Over-Run]] appeared, having crossed realities to find the Autobot leader. Over-Run handed Optimus the [[Mini-Con Matrix]], the essence of this doomed Cybertron's Mini-Cons, giving the two Autobots the power to transform and combine into Jet Optimus. Doing so reformatted the Autobot leader into a body capable of [[Powerlinx|Powerlinking]] with a team of [[Prime Force|'drone' vehicles]], and granted him (and the other Autobots) the ability to combine with each other.

Upon returning to Earth, he decided that the Autobots would no longer hide from the inhabitants, but work with them openly. This decision led, among other things, to the Autobots' induction into the UN.

When last seen ''(before the bankruptcy of [[Dreamwave Productions]])'', he was attempting to escape from within the remains of [[Unicron]], after Megatron's trapped spark used him to regain his freedom.

So frequent were their clashes, and so familiar were they to each other, the pair eventually became friends, and Scavenger signed up with the Autobots. Seeing great potential in the young Autobot leader, Scavenger taught Optimus Prime how to fight in hand-to-hand combat. Later, veteran Autobot [[Landmine (Energon)|Landmine]] trained Optimus in [[metallikato]] shortly before leaving [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]] with [[Rodimus (Energon)|Rodimus]]. Optimus later notes that their training made him the warrior and soldier he is today. {{storylink|Trust (Armada)|Trust}}

Many years later, it was a more mature Optimus Prime that led a small Autobot unit to [[Earth]] after the activation of the [[Mini-Con]] homing beacon. This beacon signaled to all the Transformers on Cybertron that the much-coveted Mini-Cons had survived their million years-long disappearance. After warping to Earth, Optimus saved [[Rad White|three]] [[Carlos Lopez|human]] [[Alexis|children]] from the [[Decepticon]] leader, [[Megatron (Armada)|Megatron]], who arrived on the alien world first.

Later, after the Decepticons had reformatted themselves into suitable new vehicle modes, Optimus Prime saved the children again, joined by his two subordinates [[Red Alert (Armada)|Red Alert]] and [[Hot Shot (Armada)|Hot Shot]]. {{storylink|First Encounter}}

Befriending these children, he introduced his crew of Autobots to them. The children aided Prime as he led his crew around the world, searching for the long-lost Mini-Con Transformers, before the Decepticon forces could take them and use them for their own evil deeds.

With the help of the kids, Optimus Prime managed to pinpoint the location of the Mini-Con panel before he was confronted by [[Megatron (Armada)|Megatron]], powerlinked to [[Leader-1 (Armada)|Leader-1]]. Outgunned, Optimus Prime was saved when Starscream arrogantly underestimated the [[Street Action Mini-Con Team (Armada)|Street Action Team's]] combined form of [[Perceptor (Armada)|Perceptor]]. This distraction gave Optimus the opportunity to activate the Mini-Con panel, revealing that its occupant was [[Sparkplug (Armada)|Sparkplug]], Optimus Prime's old Mini-Con partner and friend. Galvatron was drawn toward Unicron's maw, with Prime holding onto his tank treads, telling him to hold on. His nemesis then made the decision to sacrifice his life, giving Prime a final victory, so that Unicron might be destroyed and their race would survive.

8,000 eons ago, Optimus Prime stayed on Cybertron to continue its defense, even as Rodimus led a group of Transformers away from the planet, into space, in search of a new home. {{storylink|The Legend of Rodimus}}

A few years after the defeat of Unicron, Optimus Prime returned from exile to a newly-unified Cybertron where Autobots and Decepticons lived side-by-side in peace. Reassuming leadership of the Autobots, Optimus Prime established a dialogue with the Earth governments with the help of his human friends. Earth sent a delegation to Cybertron, consisting of the three kids and [[Brian Jones (Energon)|Dr. Brian Jones]], the foremost expert in the newly discovered ore [[Energon (Energon)|energon]] that both worlds coveted.

Jones brought along his young son, [[Kicker Jones|Chad]] (also known as 'Kicker'), who was frightened by the tall, menacing robots. When the boy ran away to a ruined and abandoned part of Cybertron, Optimus Prime gave chase, warning Kicker that the area was strictly off limits. The boy accidentally fell and found his way into a massive darkened chamber where an energy being known as [[Primus]] saved him. Optimus Prime found his way into the chamber just as Primus evolved the human child. Sometime after this, Primus (now known as the creator-god of the Transformers), gave Optimus the [[Spark of Combination]], allowing Optimus to grant combining powers to other Autobots. Prime could also now combine with a [[Prime Force|squad of four drone vehicles]], which rode around with him in his trailer when not in use.

Almost a decade later, the energon mining facilities in Sol's asteroid belt, as well as their base on [[Mars (planet)|Mars]], were attacked by a mysterious force of beast-like Transformers. Primus warned Optimus that the enemy was after the energon, causing Optimus to assemble a unit so he could personally assess the situation. Finding no life on Mars, his unit then moved to Earth, where he saved Kicker and Ocean City from an attack by the same creatures. {{storylink|Cybertron City (episode)|Cybertron City}}

Prime agreed to the evacuation of Ocean City, then led a counterattack against the Terrorcons at [[Lunar City]]. He assigned the headstrong Kicker to be partners with the rookie Ironhide, suspecting that the experience would be difficult but beneficial for both of them. {{storylink|Energon Stars}} Prime prepared his troops to defend Earth's Cybertron Cities from further attack. {{storylink|Scorpinok}} Eventually the Terrorcons' attacks forced him to make a difficult call, abandoning the survivors at [[Mars City]] in favor of remaining to defend Ocean City. In the battle that followed, the sight of Megatron's sword caused Prime to wonder if his old nemesis might still be alive. Optimus continued to lead his team against Terrorcon attacks, but soon found himself face-to-face with his oldest and greatest foe. {{storylink|Megatron Resurrected}} In a subsequent battle at Ocean City, the two threw down with all their power. Armed with a copy of Megatron's sword, Optimus was able to defeat him and force the Decepticons to retreat. {{storylink|Megatron Raid}}

Optimus soon found himself stalked by the ghostly Starscream, who secretly followed him around Ocean City, hoping for a chance to assassinate him. Prime lured Starscream to the Moon, where they could battle without interference or collateral damage. Starscream revealed his plans to revive Unicron, causing Prime no small measure of consternation. Though the teleporting Starscream maintained the advantage, Optimus was able to generate "[[Energon Blaster|Hot Shot's blaster]]" during a subsequent Decepticon attack, using it to drive off the attackers. {{storylink|Starscream the Mysterious Mercenary}}

Prime then led a team into the asteroid belt, where they destroyed an asteroid that looked nothing like Unicron, because it looked like Unicron. {{storylink|Battle of the Asteroid Belt}}

Prime continued to lead Earth's defense until Dr. Jones's [[energon tower (building)|energon tower]] could be completed, ensuring the planet's safety. {{storylink|Energon Tower (episode)|Energon Tower}} This role forced him into a difficult decision, detonating the energon stores of [[Jungle City]] in the midst of an overwhelming attack. Although the explosion repulsed the attacking Decepticons, it also obliterated some of Earth's most ancient ruins and an entire Cybertron city. {{storylink|Crisis in Jungle City}}

Prime next clashed with Megatron at [[Lunar City]], but once again a newly-arrived Energon Tower cut the battle short.
{{storylink|Kicker Beware!}} He then led a space-based defense against several giant "comets" that Megatron had created to destroy Earth, which was ultimately saved by the final completion of the energon grid. {{storylink|Energon Grid}}

With Earth secure, Optimus decided to lead his team into space, to pursue and destroy Unicron before Megatron could revive the planet-eater. {{storylink|Rodimus: Friend or Foe?}} As the Autobots prepared to leave Earth's [[solar system]] aboard the ''[[Miranda II]]'', the Decepticons attacked once more; struggling with Megatron, Optimus narrowly avoided getting caught by the ship's energon grid. Demolishor wasn't so lucky. {{storylink|Go for Unicron!}}

Optimus had his team follow Kicker's energon-finding instincts, leading them to a misadventure on a frozen planet. {{storylink|The Return of Demolishor}} Soon after, Optimus was confronted by Rodimus—who shocked him with the proposal that Unicron must not be destroyed, but rather restored! Optimus wasn't convinced, and Rodimus went his own way. {{storylink|A Tale of Two Heros}} Optimus soon was forced to carry out his plan to lure Unicron into the space bridge and to Cybertron, where Rad assaulted Unicron with the planet's energon grid, massively damaging him. {{storylink|Battle Stations}}

With Unicron repulsed, Optimus led a team to Cybertron's surface, where the Decepticons were in rebellion. {{storylink|Alpha Q: Identity}} They soon learned that the Decepticon criminal [[Shockblast (Energon)|Shockblast]] had escaped, and pursued him to the very chamber of Primus. Shockblast escaped, however, and Optimus soon had other concerns: Kicker was returning to Cybertron, with the head of Unicron! {{storylink|Shockblast: Rampage}}

At Kicker's insistence, Optimus met with the alien Alpha Q and heard his story. Moved, he agreed to help Alpha Q revive his planets, but the defense of Cybertron remained his top priority. Prime returned to Cybertron's surface to lead the planet's defense as Megatron attacked again. Arriving on Earth, Optimus Prime was forced to break his own strict orders to hide from the human population when he rescued the injured [[Landmine (Energon)|Landmine]] and three human children from [[Thundercracker (Armada)|Thundercracker]]. Soon afterward, the children's hometown of Boulder, Colorado was threatened. The newest tunnels in a recently-dug gold mine had destabilized a mountain, making its collapse imminent. This alone would only have damaged the mountain's immediate area, but matters were complicated when Autobot scans revealed the presence of an underground reservoir that would be forced out by the collapse, causing flooding. In the early stages of the war, Optimus Prime was shocked to learn of a full-scale Decepticon assault on the Autobot Command HQ. As he organized the defenses, he was contacted by the [[Mini-Con]] [[Sparkplug (Armada)|Sparkplug]], who warned him that [[Dualor]] had planted explosives around the base in order to lure [[Megatron (Armada)|Megatron]] in and destroy him. Prime subsequently ordered for the evacuation of the base before Dualor blew it up. {{storylink|Panini Armada issue 9|Counter-Strike!}} He and his troops were still fighting the Decepticons a few million years later, but it was a losing battle. Even if most of the Mini-Cons had left Cybertron, the Decepticons still had a few of them, and the Autobots were outclassed. Despite this, Optimus Prime knew the Mini-Cons leaving had been a good thing, and hoped that he would never find out where they went. Having gone to Earth alone to scout ahead without any backup, Optimus Prime was quickly defeated by the Mini-Con augmented Megatron. Thankfully, a few of the free Mini-Cons and the [[human]] [[Rad White]] distracted Megatron from finishing Prime off, giving him time to recover and summon [[Hot Shot (Armada)|Hot Shot]] and [[Red Alert (Armada)|Red Alert]] through a [[space bridge]]. As the free Mini-Cons decided to aid the Autobots, Sparkplug power-linked with Optimus Prime and granted him the power needed to punch Megatron in the face. After the Decepticons retreated, Prime thanked the Mini-Cons and Rad for their help. {{storylink|Panini Armada issue 2|Friends and Foes!}} He soon realized that Rad and his [[Carlos Lopez|two]] [[Alexis|friends]] weren't very large contributors to their war effort, as they spent most of the time playing around. One day, the Hansen family were picnicking in the Rocky Mountains. Coby and his father rode dirt bikes through the forest, which annoyed Coby's friend Lori, whose family had moved to the Hansens' sleepy country town for the peace and quiet, which the Hansens are now disturbing. Before a full-scale argument could break out between Coby and Lori, Bud stepped in and calmed things down and the three kids went for a walk. Suddenly a strange glow in the sky attracted the kids' attention, and they watched as something came crashing down nearby. That something, as they soon discover, is [[Landmine (Energon)|Landmine]].

The kids dragged Landmine out of the crater he made and Coby put some of his mechanical knowledge to work repairing an injury in the Autobot's arm. As Coby got to work, Lori and Bud polished his armor, and he told them the events that led to his arrival on Earth. When they were attacked by [[Thundercracker (Armada)|Thundercracker]] they were saved when Thundercracker got knocked out of the sky by the sudden arrival of Optimus Prime. Thundercracker fled, and the other Autobots all gathered at Prime's location, where they reunite with Landmine and introduced themselves to Coby, Bud and Lori. {{storylink|Fallen (episode)}}

Coby rode inside Hot Shot to help him win the Cyber Planet Key on Velocitron, keeping two important wires held together to allow him to keep at maximum speed. Though he's far from stupid, his imagination rules him. A fan of bad sci-fi movies and the ''[[Galactic Guardians]]'', he doesn't just want to be a movie director when he grows up—he wants to be a movie director ''now''. As such, he has a quirky flair for drama, though it's tempered by a sense of fair play.

Despite his years, Bud is able to be surprisingly mature and even somewhat wise when he has to be. This doesn't keep him from getting himself and the more foolish of his robot friends into some rather bad situations (like [[Space|unprotected orbital reentry]]). Fortunately (or unfortunately), the Transformers don't seem to know enough about [[human]] development to apply the necessary butt-whuppins to prevent these minor disasters.

With his brother and their friend [[Lori]], Bud assists the Autobots during their search for the [[Cyber Planet Key|Cyber Planet Keys]]. He has probably bonded the most with the geeky [[Mini-Con]] [[Jolt (Cybertron)|Jolt]], who calls him "Bud-dude", after Bud insisted he stop saying "Master Bud". (Not that it's much of an improvement, dorkiness-wise.) He believes that if they wanted to, the Autobots could walk around in plain sight as long as people thought they were just [[Fandom|fanboys]] wearing costumes. While Coby and Bud made arrangements to haul the damaged robot from his impact crater, Lori quickly ran home to change clothes so that she could help clean and repair him. As the kids worked, Landmine explained that he and his fellow Autobots had come to [[Earth]] to escape the threat of a [[Unicron Singularity|colossal black hole]] that was threatening their home planet of [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]]. Unfortunately, the Autobots' enemies, the [[Decepticon]]s had followed them, and one of their number, [[Thundercracker (Armada)|Thundercracker]], soon appeared to attack Landmine and the kids. Fortunately, his attack drew the attention of the other Autobots, who saw Thundercracker off and introduced themselves to the kids. The [[Mini-Con]] [[Jolt (Cybertron)|Jolt]] squeaked in shock when he saw the symbol on the shirt Lori had borrowed from her brother; what Lori had thought was merely an image from an album cover, [[Vector Prime]] explained, was in fact the symbol of the [[Omega Lock]], the control device for the legendary [[Cyber Planet Key]]s, whose power was needed to stop the black hole. {{storylink|Inferno (episode)|Inferno}}

The Autobots' first order of business on Earth was setting up a secret headquarters, and Lori presented them with a plot of land that he father had originally intended for a housing development, until the market went bad. During the blasting that preceding construction, Vector Prime discovered that Lori and the boys were able to hear the [[Omega Frequency]], the trans-sonic signal given off by the Omega Lock that was inaudible to the Autobots, which would make them invaluable in the search. Lori subsequently designed their base when [[Scattorshot (Cybertron)|Scattorshot]]'s layout proved far too cold for her tastes, and helped apply its [[stealth beam coating]] just in time to protect it against detection by Decepticon leader [[Megatron (Armada)|Megatron]]. {{storylink|Haven}} The next order of business was helping the civilian Autobot refugees integrate themselves into human society; in addition to teaching the Autobots traffic laws, Lori was responsible for choosing [[Signal Lancer]]'s unconventional lamp-post alternate mode, and got a ribbing from Bud for the decision. {{storylink|Hidden}} With these essentials taken care of, the Autobots returned to the mystery of Lori's shirt, and began searching the planet for more example of the strange symbol, which was known as the "[[Atlantis Pattern]]". With the location of the first Cyber Planet Key determined to be the planet [[Velocitron]], Lori and the boys were left with little to do on Earth, save worrying. {{storylink|Space}} {{storylink|Rush}} After going to a horror movie, the three kids suggested that Jolt would be able to join them next time by passing himself off as a cosplaying fanboy. That night, while staring at the stars with her father, Lori tried to tactfully broach the subject of the Autobots, but was prevented by the sudden appearance of the Atlantis Pattern in the sky. She informed the Autobots of the strange phenomenon, but when they investigated, it turned out to be just a Decepticon trick. {{storylink|Speed}} Bored over their lack of recent activity, the kids decided to take the Mini-Cons to their homes for a "play date" of sorts. Lori took [[Six-Speed]] to her house, where the Mini-Con got emotional reading "The Little Match Girl". Returning to the search for the Omega Lock once again, Lori went with Coby, Bud, the Mini-Cons and Vector Prime to follow a lead on a tropical island, where Lori contentedly sunned herself while the boys frolicked in the surf. When the search turned up nothing, they moved on to the next location in the Sahara desert, where a brief battle with the Decepticons erupted over what turned out to be nothing more than a duplicate of the Lock. {{storylink|Time (episode)|Time}} A solid lead was finally uncovered when the civilian Autobots were brought in to help search, {{storylink|Search}} and Lori went with the Autobots to the [[Bermuda Triangle]] to investigate the Atlantis Pattern found there. At the bottom of the ocean, they discovered the ancient Cybertronian starship ''[[Atlantis]]'', and in order to keep it out of the Decepticons' hands, Vector Prime activated the craft and teleported it away with only himself, the kids and Mini-Cons aboard. {{storylink|Deep}} With the ''Atlantis'' safely hidden in the shadow of the moon, Lori joined the others in searching through its labyrinthine corridors, and eventually discovered the Omega Lock in the bowels of the ship. {{storylink|Ship}}

With Coby helping [[Hot Shot (Armada)|Hot Shot]] on Velocitron, {{storylink|Race}} Lori and Bud were assigned a special mission by Vector Prime: searching out and examining strange archaeological artifacts that appeared to be of Cybertronian origin. Lori was thrilled when their search for one of these objects took them back to the city, but there was no time to take in the sights, as their quest took them to a university. Evading a security guard, the pair encountered ditzy scientist [[Lucy Suzuki]], and managed to fool her into thinking they were doing research for a school paper. The object the kids were searching for, it turned out, was in Suzuki's own collection of strange artifacts, which the doctor herself believed to be of alien origin. After examining it and learning all they could, Lori and Bud quickly departed and head off in pursuit of the next object on Vector Prime's list. {{storylink|Race}}

Lori spent much of the time that followed watched transmissions from Velocitron, as Hot Shot raced for possession of the world's Cyber Planet Key. {{storylink|Detour (episode)|Detour}} {{storylink|Savage (episode)|Savage}} When he successfully won the key, Lori watched as it was added to the Omega Lock, causing the release of an energy wave that pointed the way to something hidden in the Arctic Circle. {{storylink|Champion}} Lori joined the Autobots in traveling to the Arctic to search, but along the way, realized they would be needing some heavy winter clothes. Grudgingly permitting the boys to use her emergency credit card to buy some parkas, Lori had them stop at a store, only to find that it wouldn't take credit. As luck and grand cosmic coincidence would have it, Lucy Suzuki was also in the store, picking up supplies for a government scientific survey she was helping to conduct. She bought the kids the parkas they required, and was convinced to let them accompany her on her survey as "assistants". Lori came to trust Lucy, and ignoring Coby's warnings, ultimately told her all about the Autobots. {{storylink|Ice}}

While this aspect of the trip went over well, the Autobots failed to uncover the object of their search, and returned to base, where Lori petitioned [[Jetfire (Armada)|Jetfire]] to allow her to go to [[Jungle Planet (Cybertron)|Jungle Planet]], home of the second Cyber Planet Key. [[Override (Cybertron)|Override]] agreed to take Lori with her, beginning a strong friendship between the pair. {{storylink|Honor}} With Coby's dirtbike helmet for a good luck charm, Lori proved her bravery on Jungle Planet by stepping forward to challenge the "might makes right" credo of the planet's ruler [[Scourge (Cybertron)|Scourge]]. Subsequently defeated in battle by [[Optimus Prime (Armada)|Optimus Prime]], Scourge relinquished ownership of the Cyber Planet Key, and departed to ruminate on Lori's words. {{storylink|Primal}} When the Decepticons attacked soon after, attempting to steal the key, Lori tried to convince Scourge to help the Autobots, but he only heeded her pleas when the battle endangered his temple. {{storylink|Trust (Cybertron)|Trust}}

The addition of the second Cyber Planet Key to the Omega Lock once again pointed the way to something in the Arctic, which was at last discovered to be a subterranean chamber holding an army of [[Ancient Decepticon]]s. {{storylink|Trap}} Freed by the rebel Decepticon [[Starscream (Armada)|Starscream]], these ancient warriors swarmed the globe in search of the third Cyber Planet Key, and Lori, Coby, Bud and the Mini-Cons attempted to help the Autobots in battle as best they could. However, no sooner had they departed the Autobots' base than they were accosted by [[Colonel Franklin]] and taken into custody along with their parents. {{storylink|Invasion}} Franklin attempted to pry information on the Transformers from the kids, but they played dumb, while Lucy Suzuki freed the Mini-Cons, then joined them in rescuing the kids and escaping. They returned to the Autobots' base, where Optimus Prime informed them that the Autobots were going to leave Earth with the third key in order to draw the Decepticons away. Lori sadly accepted this decision, but before the Autobots could leave, Starscream attacked. Unable to defeat Prime in battle, Starscream opened fire on Lori and the other humans, forcing Prime to throw himself in the path of the blast, and allowing Starscream to escape with the Omega Lock and all the Cyber Planet Keys. {{storylink|Retreat}}

Both the Autobots and Megatron's Decepticons proceeded to go after Starscream to regain the key, but during a battle at [[Niagara Falls]], Hot Shot, Scattorshot and [[Red Alert (Armada)|Red Alert]] were grievously wounded. {{storylink|Revelation (episode)|Revelation}} Colonel Franklin (who turned out to be on the Autobots' side) had the injured Autobots brought to a military base for repairs, and Lori, Coby and Bud all pitched in. Red Alert was resigned to his inevitable demise, but Lori refused to take any of his guff, and accusing him to giving up in the face of a challenge. Galvanized by Lori's words, the three Autobots tapped into the power of the Omega Lock, and were reformatted into powerful new bodies as the [[Cybertron Defense Team]]. {{storylink|Critical}} Lori, Coby and Bud then returned to the Autobots' base, and both helped co-ordinate their attack on Starscream's island base, {{storylink|Assault}} and charted a space bridge course back to Cybertron for the Cybertron Defense Team. {{storylink|Starscream (episode)|Starscream}} After Optimus Prime finally defeated Starscream {{storylink|United}} and apparently destroyed Megatron, Lori, Coby and Bud were all brought to Cybertron, where the power of the Lock and Keys was used to transform the planet into the body of Transformers' god, [[Primus]] himself. {{storylink|Cybertron (episode)|Cybertron}}

When Megatron reappeared in a mysterious ghostly form, the side-switching [[Sideways (RID)|Sideways]] exploited the distraction to capture the Mini-Cons, intending to pry the location of [[Gigantion]], home of the final Cyber Planet Key, from Jolt's memory. {{storylink|Balance}} Lori and the boys leapt through Sideways's warp field as he teleported away, finding themselves back in the ruined hulk of the ''Atlantis'', which Starscream and Sideways were using as a hideout. {{storylink|Darkness (episode)|Darkness}} Braving the dangers of the ship's maintenance shafts, the kids were able to get one over on Sideways and free their Mini-Cons friends {{storylink|Memory}} and then made contact with the other Autobots to arrange a rescue. Unfortunately, while Lori, Coby and Six-Speed made it out, Bud's escape pod did not make it out of range before the ''Atlantis'' warped off into the depths of space. {{storylink|Escape (episode)|Escape}}

With Bud in danger, Lori and Coby realized that it was finally time to tell their parents about the Transformers. Unsurprisingly, however, the parents didn't believe a word of their story, until the Autobots themselves descended out of the sky and proved the truth of the children's words. With Prime's promise to protect the children, the parents allowed Lori and Coby to go into space with the Autobots, and Lori's mother did her part by providing a bag of food and a change of clothes. {{storylink|Family}} After helping to make preparations, {{storylink|Titans}} Lori joined the Autobots in traveling through the rift in time and space that led to the parallel universe where Gigantion rested. {{storylink|Warp}} Once on the so-called "Giant Planet," Lori and Coby instigated the Autobots' first meeting with the towering locals, albeit by running into the middle of a construction site and having to be saved from a falling i-beam by the planet leader, [[Metroplex (Cybertron)|Metroplex]]. {{storylink|Giant}} Lori and Coby almost met their end at the hands of Megatron, who had been powered up by the Gigantion Cyber Planet Key into Galvatron, but were saved at the last minute by Optimus Prime. {{storylink|Fury}}

After rescuing Bud from the ''Atlantis'', {{storylink|City}} the Autobots split into four teams to explore below the planet's surface for the Gigantion key; Lori was partnered with Override and [[Wing Saber]]. In the middle of their search, the trio were ambushed by Scourge and [[Thunderblast (Decepticon)|Thunderblast]], and Lori immediately started railing against Scourge for continuing to hang around with the Decepticons after everything she had tried to teach him. When Thunderblast then butted into the argument, Lori went over the edge, and challenged the Decepticon to fight. With Wing Saber's help, Lori lured Thunderblast into a trap at a nearby harbor, and crushed her under a number of cranes. Override and Scourge had begun battling in Lori's absence, but when the girl returned, she was inadvertently nearly crushed by debris knocked loose by Scourge. Ashamed, Scourge made a "tactical withdrawal", and Lori kicked the wall in anger, only to wind up accidentally hitting a hidden button that activated a holographic replay of Gigantion's history, including its war with [[Planet X (Cybertron)|Planet X]]. {{storylink|Ambush}}

After meeting up with Optimus Prime's team and relaying what she had learned, {{storylink|Challenge}} Lori accidentally found ''another'' hidden button when she leant on a wall, opening up a secret passage that sent Bud and the Mini-Cons tumbling into a hidden Mini-Con city. While enjoying himself in this little city, Bud ran into Scourge, and managed to do what Lori could not by finally convincing him that fighting was not always the way. Lori then watched as the enlightened Scourge allowed himself to be defeated in battle by the Autobots, and hoped that someday, he could join their ranks himself. {{storylink|Scourge (episode)|Scourge}}

Although the Autobots were able to obtain the Gigantion key, {{storylink|Optimus (episode)|Optimus}} it was subsequently stolen by Galvatron, and the Autobots were left trapped on Gigantion. {{storylink|Showdown (episode)|Showdown}} Vector Prime resolved to use his powers over time to reopen the space-time tunnel that would allow the Autobots to return to their home universe, but it was revealed that the exertion would kill him. Bud could not properly comprehend this, so Lori tearfully explained that they would not be able to see him again, but that he would always be watching over them. This explanation seemed enough for Bud, and everyone then watched with heavy hearts as Vector Prime sacrificed himself to give them the chance they needed. {{storylink|Guardian (episode)|Guardian}}

Back in their universe, the Autobots returned to Cybertron and assembled for the ultimate battle with Galvatron. {{storylink|Homecoming (episode)|Homecoming}} Lori, Coby, Bud and the Mini-Cons accompanied the five planet leaders into the heart of the black hole, and watched as the heroes took Galvatron down. Defeated, Galvatron hurled the Omega Lock and Keys at the core of the black hole, but Lori and the others were able to help the planet leaders track their trajectories, allowing them to reclaim them. With all five divine objects back in Autobot hands, Primus's power was finally restored, and he sealed the black hole, then transformed back into Cybertron. {{storylink|End}}

After briefly returning to Earth for a reunion with the parents, Lori, Bud and Coby were brought to the new Cybertron, which now incorporated aspects of all the four colony worlds. Lori could tell that Optimus Prime was still worried by Galvatron's continued threat, and before long, his concerns proved genuine: just as the Autobots were moving Jungle Planet back to its rightful place in space, Galvatron attacked. He and Optimus battled on Cybertron's moon, while Lori and the boys helped all the other Transformers repair the damage Galvatron had done to the planetary engines being used to move Jungle Planet, safely returning Jungle Planet home. They then headed to the moon, and watched as Optimus finally destroyed Galvatron once and for all. {{storylink|Unfinished}}

In the wake of Galvatron's destruction, a peace conference between the five worlds was called, and it was decided that a new space bridge program would be initiated to colonize more planets in the depths of space. Many preparations for the voyage then had to be made, which included the appointing of a new leader for Jungle Planet, if Scourge was to go on the mission. Lori cheered for her friend as he took on all comers to decide who would take his place, but ultimately, no-one could beat him, so he stayed on as leader and designated Leobreaker to go in his place.

A little later, on Earth, Lori was with Coby when he resolved to build a spaceship and join the Autobots in the stars, and she hoped aloud that there would be room for two aboard. Realizing what she had said, Lori immediately tried to backpedal, but with this admission, a long-blooming relationship finally began between the two young people. The following day, Lori and all the Autobots' other human allies gathered to watch as their alien friends departed for the stars, and new adventures.

In the years that followed, Lori and Coby's relationship continued, and they eventually became engaged. Coby accomplished his dream of building a spaceship, and Lori her dream of joining him in space, and while in space together, they watched a television broadcast of Bud winning an Oscar. Eventually, the young lovers were married, in a ceremony attended by their families, their Mini-Con friends, and Optimus Prime himself. {{storylink|Beginning}}

Driving cross-country on an unsupervised roadtrip with Coby and Bud, Lori showed signs of anger when Coby's car broke down and gently kicked the vehicle in the tire. Coby responded by yelling at her, as he felt she was "hurting" his car. Lori sighed and reminded Coby that "there's no such thing as Transformers" and that his car most certainly ''wasn't'' one. As the argument progressed, an ''actual'' Transformer ([[Landmine (Energon)|Landmine]]) just happened to fall out of the sky and crash into a smoking crater in the nearby forest.

As Coby made an effort to "heal" the injured robot, he cast Lori in the role of his "nurse". Unfortunately for Lori, she was a girl, so she didn't understand manly words like "wrench" (as a matter of fact, she was so unfamiliar with Coby's sophisticated technical jargon that it all sounded like incomprehensible gibberish to her ears). Bud helped her out, though.

Landmine was eventually repaired when [[Vector Prime]] showed up, but Lori and her friends soon came under fire when Megatron showed up, too. Luckily, Optimus Prime wasn't far behind and punched the Hell out of Megatron until he retreated. Along with her friends, Lori thanked Prime for his bravery.{{storylink|Touchdown! Optimus Prime}}

[[Optimus Prime (Armada)|Optimus Prime]] has been badly damaged in a recent battle with the [[Decepticon|Decepticons]], and the prognosis is uncertain. [[Red Alert (Armada)|Red Alert]] tells the kids that [[Jetfire (Armada)|Jetfire]] will take over Optimus's role while the leader is in the repair bay. [[Hot Shot (Armada)|Hot Shot]] is not impressed by Jetfire's overconfident bragging, and neither are the kids.

[[Demolishor (Armada)|Demolishor]] is also unimpressed, but at the failure of [[Thrust (Armada)|Thrust]]'s plan. [[Starscream (Armada)|Starscream]] and [[Cyclonus (Armada)|Cyclonus]] are merely amused by its failure, and Thrust blames it on a miscalculation in the form of Jetfire. He says he'll come up with a new plan and takes some shooting stars as a sure sign of victory.

The [[Autobot|Autobots]] discuss Thrust and how he led the Decepticons to victory on the planets [[Vector]], Orga and Duke, almost wiping out the Autobots. [[Carlos Lopez|Carlos]] thinks that while they have Jetfire on their team, they don't have anything to worry about on that score. [[High Wire (Armada)|High Wire]] attempts to report to Jetfire, but the Autobot doesn't speak [[Mini-Con]], and [[Rad White|Rad]] has to translate that there's a suspicious bot flying over the base. They soon recognise Thrust, and Jetfire immediately runs off to confront the Decepticon.

Thrust takes off as soon as he sees Jetfire coming, goading the Autobot into following. Unsurprisingly, they reach a zone where the Decepticons are waiting, and the kids plead with Jetfire not to fire on the swarm of Mini-Cons accompanying them. He assures them he won't and shoots at Cyclonus, who protests that Thrust said the Autobot wouldn't fire with the Mini-Cons around. Thrust orders the Mini-Cons to attack, and soon Jetfire is being strafed with laser fire. Starscream closes in, but Jetfire is able to dodge the null laser cannon.

At base, the Autobots puzzle over how they're going to help Jetfire, when [[Alexis]] spots an island near where the battle is taking place. [[Smokescreen (Armada)|Smokescreen]], Hot Shot and [[Blurr (Armada)|Blurr]] warp to the island, and Smokescreen prepares to fire his longarm cannon, but is blasted by Demolishor and [[Sideways (RID)|Sideways]]. Demolishor boasts that Thrust's plan is to steal the Skyboom shield and opens fire on the Autobots, who are forced to use the shield for cover.

[[Scavenger (Armada)|Scavenger]], still at base, admires the Decepticons' trap, but the kids think he should take action. Rad contacts Red Alert in the repair bay, informs him of the situation, and lets him know they need Optimus.

[[Megatron (Armada)|Megatron]] arrives on the island and tells his men to get on with it and demand the Shield from the Autobots. At Hot Shot's goading, Megatron calls the Star Saber to him and begins the attack anew. Hot Shot suggests they should withdraw. Smokescreen is confident the Skyboom Shield will protect them, but the other two Autobots talk him into withdrawing. The trio begin their escape, hampered by the Decepticons' weapons fire.

Jetfire attempts to come to their aid, but is surrounded by the [[Air Military Mini-Con Team]] and is again almost blasted by Starscream. He flies towards the Decepticon, but is grazed by a blast from the null laser cannon. Again surrounded by the Mini-Cons, he's unable to take a shot at Thrust.

Red Alert reports that Optimus is almost combat ready, and Carlos stresses the urgency of the situation.

On the island, Megatron has Smokescreen pinned down while Blurr and Hot Shot are busy with Demolishor and Sideways.

While Red Alert and Scavenger are about to join the battle, an alarm indicates that someone's in the launch area: Optimus Prime! Though Red Alert and the kids protest that he's not ready, Optimus asks to be warped to Jetfire's coordinates.

As Thrust and Starscream prepare to finish off Jetfire, Optimus appears overhead. The Autobot leader freefalls towards Jetfire, and the pair [[Powerlinx|combine]]. After making short work of Starscream, Optimus flies to the island and knocks Megatron into the ocean. For an encore, he picks up Demolishor and drops the protesting Decepticon into the water as well. Sideways wisely retreats. The impressed kids cheer.

Optimus suggests to Jetfire that he might want to be a bit more cautious next time, to which the Autobot says he's learnt his lesson.

==Synopsis==
Testing the power of the [[Skyboom (Armada)|Skyboom]] Shield, Megatron disintegrates an entire comet. Satisfied with his new toy's power, Megatron anticipates the next conflict will allow the [[Decepticon|Decepticons]] to end the routine of battling for new [[Mini-Con|Mini-Cons]] and finish the [[Autobot|Autobots]].

In the Autobots' base, Hot Shot is running through an obstacle course of suspended metal pieces, while the Mini-Cons try to slow him down by tossing stuff at him. But before Hot Shot can win, Blurr catches up and captures the flag. Smokescreen arrives and asks to join in the training, and Blurr goads Smokescreen to attempt a run by challenging his performance hardware. While taking several hits in the process, Smokescreen eventually manages to grab the flag.

In the Autobot control room, Optimus receives a direct challenge from Megatron. Optimus knows that despite being hopelessly overpowered, it is his job to accept the challenge. The Autobots all rush out to teleport to the location Megatron specified.

When the Autobots arrive to battle the Decepticons, Megatron summons his [[Star Saber (Armada)|Star Saber]] and Skyboom Shield and tells Demolishor to hold back, as he anticipates that with his new weapons, he can defeat the Autobots on his own. The shield blocks attacks from Hot Shot and Blurr, and then all of the Autobots' firepower. Megatron moves forward and slices apart Optimus's rifle. Cyclonus and Demolishor contribute by raining down gunfire on the scattering Autobots, allowing Megatron and Optimus to be separated from the rest of the group. Hot Shot and Blurr notice Optimus fighting Megatron by himself, and the two transform and rush to aid their leader. Starscream and Cyclonus chase the duo from the air. Hot Shot provides cover fire while Blurr attempts to lose his pursuers. Blurr and Hot Shot trade positions, and eventually Cyclonus and Starscream fly out of range. Powerlinking with Swindle, Starscream "lays a pounding" on the two cars.

In a move even Demolishor finds unwise, Sideways dives directly onto Red Alert, but is soundly blasted away. Smokescreen, tired of the Decepticons holding an advantage, powerlinks with Liftor and disrupts Starscream. Demolishor rolls a large boulder at Smokescreen, who is pinned to the ground. When Cyclonus observes that the Decepticons are maintaining their advantage, he's blasted out of the sky by Sideways, whom neither side sees.

Near a crevice, Optimus is still surviving against Megatron. Hot Shot and Blurr arrive to distract Megatron, allowing Optimus to grab onto the Skyboom Shield while Megatron is still holding it. Trying to slice Optimus away, Megatron accidentally tosses the shield into the crevice. Angry, he attempts to impale Optimus but is halted by Sparkplug.

With Megatron intending to get at Optimus by slicing through Sparkplug, the Skyboom Shield activates and levitates from the crevice to protect the Autobot. The two weapons used against each other send out a bright light that Rad notes is similar to the light that reactivated all the Mini-Cons in the [[First Encounter|start]] of their Earth encounters.

The Decepticons, having lost the shield, retreat to their base again. The Autobots congratulate Smokescreen for changing the tide of battle (that is, before he was caught under a rock), and Fred hugs Carlos.

[[Sideways (RID)|Sideways]] looses off a shot at his leader, just to remind him there'll be other Autobots on the battlefield too. After shooting at Prime for a bit, Megatron snarls at the Land Military team for not obeying his orders.

Optimus briefs his men on the planned setup for their mission, which will include [[Smokescreen (Armada)|Smokescreen]] staying back with the Skyboom Shield ready to launch off his long arm launcher. The briefing is interrupted by the [[Street Action Mini-Con Team]] who want to know why they're not coming on the mission too, but Optimus says it's because it's too risky.

The kids wander away from the Autobot base, complaining about not being allowed in. The three Street Action Mini-Cons soon catch up with them and let the kids know they've received a transmission from the Decepticon-held Mini-Cons. [[Fred (Armada)|Fred]]'s theory that the Mini-Cons on the Moon are lonely and want to join up with their friends on Earth gains traction. While Rad and Fred go to tell Optimus, the rest of the kids run with their Mini-Cons towards the warp gate.

On the Moon, Megatron confirms with the Land Military team that they've made contact with the Mini-Cons on Earth. Teleporting them and four other Mini-Cons to Earth, he tells his men that he'll split up the Autobots and then contact them with further instructions.

Fred and Rad are unable to get into the Autobot base until Rad uses [[Laserbeak (Armada)|Laserbeak]] to let Optimus know what's up. Optimus and Hot Shot pop out to let the pair know they're going to take care of it and to stay put.

The rest of the kids reach the area of the warp gate in time to see the Land Military team teleport in and then promptly teleport out again. When [[Carlos Lopez|Carlos]] steps forward, Optimus appears to tell them to go back, and Megatron teleports in. The Decepticon invites Optimus to come in his direction before disappearing again. Although Optimus again warns the kids, Fred doesn't think there's anything to be afraid of. Walking over to where Megatron was, Fred is teleported out as well, followed by Rad. The other Autobots follow suit, much to the annoyance of [[Alexis]] who feels left out.

The Decepticons find that one of the Mini-Cons seems to be messing with their teleport signal. Although [[Demolishor (Armada)|Demolishor]] is concerned for his leader, Sideways and [[Starscream (Armada)|Starscream]] are unenthusiastic.

In the Autobot base, Alexis tells [[Scavenger (Armada)|Scavenger]] and [[Red Alert (Armada)|Red Alert]] that she can't raise a signal from Laserbeak.

The four missing Autobots arrive with Rad and Fred in a heavily forested area and immediately come under fire from Megatron, who teleports out. Optimus and the boys teleport out, closely followed by Hot Shot, leaving Blurr and Smokescreen wondering how the plan is going to work now. Hot Shot arrives alone in an icy wasteland. Rad and Fred arrive in a mountainous area and are saved from falling by Optimus. He explains that the Mini-Cons may be difficult to lure away from Megatron as they regard him as a father figure. The trio are soon teleported again, this time to a ghost town. Megatron tells them to follow him, then teleports out with his Mini-Con forces. A couple of Mini-Cons stay behind long enough to beep at the kids.

Arriving in a desert, the Mini-Cons seem to be on the verge of deserting Megatron until he threatens to slice them in half. Once Optimus and the boys arrive, he forces the Mini-Cons to attack. Rad and Fred manage to persuade Optimus to stop firing back and, once the boys are out of harm's way, he lowers his weapons, walking towards the Mini-Cons. As Megatron gloats, the Mini-Cons pause in their attack, and he has to prompt them to resume firing. Optimus falters but continues on until finally the Mini-Cons stop firing. Megatron interprets this as an invitation for him to finish Prime off himself.

Alexis and Demolishor are both able to finally contact the battle field, as the Mini-Cons hear Optimus' empassioned plea and turn their weapons on Megatron. Optimus opens fire on Megatron as well, though the latter is protected by the Star Saber. The rest of the Autobots warp in with the Skyboom Shield which Hot Shot uses to block Megatron's attack. The Decepticon leader retreats.

Back at base, Optimus undergoes repairs and says that the energy released when the Star Saber and Skyboom Shield clashed was the cries of the enslaved Mini-Cons. The Autobots must work as a team to free the remaining enslaved Mini-Cons.

A space shuttle is cruising through space when it encounters a bizarre flying object. Unable to hail the object, the crew brace as the object scans their shuttle. The object then flies off, revealing itself to be a look-alike for said shuttle.

[[Fred (Armada)|Fred]] then attempts to discuss the incident with the other kids, but no one aside from [[Alexis]] appears to take him seriously.

The scene shifts to the moon, where an invisible figure is shown descending upon the Decepticon base. He saunters on into the facility, opening up a door. Inside the room are several [[Mini-Cons]], who the figure notes as having been locked away. One of them, [[Inferno (Armada)|Inferno]], bravely walks forward and is chosen as the personal Mini-Con of this invisible figure. The rest, who were earlier shown trembling, are left in the room when the figure leaves them and the door is closed.

The kids ask where [[Sideways (RID)|Sideways]] is, and are relieved to see that he’s on the battlefield. Specifically, the kids are relieved that Sideways cannot hack into their system again, and [[Red Alert (Armada)|Red Alert]] informs them that he put a new firewall into place so that another incident can’t happen again.

Laserbeak then spots a Mini-Con crystal embedded in the side of the canyon where the battle is taking place, and so [[Scavenger (Armada)|Scavenger]] volunteers to retrieve it. [[Megatron (Armada)|Megatron]] orders [[Cyclonus (Armada)|Cyclonus]] to intercept, but Cyclonus is shot down by [[Smokescreen (Armada)|Smokescreen]]. The battle soon degenerates into a brawl, with Megatron forming the [[Star Saber (Armada)|Star Saber]] and [[Optimus Prime (Armada)|Optimus Prime]] using the [[Skyboom (Armada)|Skyboom Shield]] as a counter. Overhead, the same invisible figure notes how poorly the Decepticons are fighting and questions why Megatron is only using the Saber at half strength. Scavenger and Laserbeak note that someone else is on the battlefield, but as they’ve already retrieved the crystal and Megatron has ordered a retreat they seem to pay it no further heed.

Back on the moon, Megatron is about to take the Decepticons to task for their recent failure when Cyclonus and [[Demolishor (Armada)|Demolishor]] start in on each other. Their fight is interrupted by a mysterious voice berating all of them for their failure. Demolishor sees Inferno in the back of the room and charges towards him, but he is tripped up by the invisible figure. The figure continues to berate the Decepticons, and then apologizes to Megatron for his late arrival. The figure then reveals himself to be [[Thrust (Armada)|Thrust]], who Megatron refers to as his “dear, dear friend” and welcomes to Earth.

Later on, a furious Demolishor punches a wall out of anger over his being humiliated. Demolishor expresses his anger towards Thrust, only to have Cyclonus and [[Starscream (Armada)|Starscream]] point out that Thrust is a master of mimicry who has never been defeated in combat. Demolishor comments about seeing how good Thrust is by making him go up against the Autobots. Sideways then looks around the room, but says that it was nothing when Starscream asks what Sideways is doing. The scene ends with a shot of a cloaked Thrust walking out of the room.

Back on Earth, [[Rad White|Rad]], Alexis, and [[Carlos Lopez|Carlos]] cheer over the new arrival—the Mini-Con [[Prowl (Armada)|Prowl]]. Prowl is greeted by the [[Street Action Mini-Con Team]], with [[High Wire (Armada)|High Wire]] apparently volunteering to show him around. [[Blurr (Armada)|Blurr]], Smokescreen, and [[Hot Shot (Armada)|Hot Shot]] celebrate their new victory, but soon get into a spat with Red Alert and Smokescreen, who advocate caution. They are interrupted by Optimus, who is told that nothing is going on.

On the moon, Starscream is practicing while Demolishor and Cyclonus watch. They banter a little bit about how Thrust is their new secret weapon, then note that Sideways has gone missing again; it is speculated that he may be taking a nap. Instead, Sideways is then shown driving off in motorcycle mode while Thrust watches.

Thrust is then seen in Megatron’s throne room, discussing matters with Megatron. Thrust notes that Starscream is suited for second-in-command status, but is otherwise not impressed with Megatron’s soldiers. Thrust offers to go into battle with Megatron’s soldiers in order to observe them, but with the stipulation that he be allowed to possess the Star Saber. Megatron initially refuses, but a beam of light shining into the throne room allows Thrust a chance to talk Megatron into it through the use of metaphor.

The Decepticons, save for Sideways, are then assembled in the throne room. Megatron informs them that Thrust will lead the next mission, with Starscream as his second. Demolishor protests on the basis that Megatron told him that he was the second in command, and Cyclonus adds to it that they don’t know what the plan is. Demolishor and Cyclonus protest further when told to simply follow orders, but Megatron will have none of it.

At the Autobot base, a Mini-Con alarm goes off. Red Alert is told to stay back, while the rest of the Autobots warp to the site.

At the site of the alarm, Cyclonus flies up to the others and notes that he destroyed the transmitter. Thrust orders Starscream to stand by with the Mini-Cons, and tells Megatron to hold onto the Star Saber for the time being.

The Autobots arrive at a gully; Optimus gives them marching orders and they all enter. Starscream radios back to Thrust that the Autobots are falling for the trap, and Thrust orders him not to attack just yet. Thrust then takes off with the Air Defense Team, telling Megatron to wait there.

As the Autobots enter the gully, they are attacked from the air. This drives them further into the gully, where they are ambushed by Demolishor and Sideways. Smokescreen takes cover behind the Skyboom Shield, while the others duck behind some rocks. Thrust, Starscream, and the Mini-Cons attack from above, with Thrust giving the order to focus on Smokescreen. Cyclonus joins in with Sideways and Demolishor, resulting in Optimus ordering the others to try and break through. Just as Optimus blows past the three Decepticons, however, he is stopped by Megatron. Scavenger sees that Optimus needs help and rushes to take over the Skyboom Shield from Smokescreen, only to have all of the Decepticons aside from Megatron start to concentrate their fire; Scavenger, Smokescreen, and the Shield are now pinned in place.

Megatron pulls out the Star Saber and tries to use it against Optimus. Optimus transforms into truck mode (minus his trailer) and races backwards into a clearing. Megatron follows Optimus, and berates him for his choice: he’s now even further away from the others. Optimus tries to fight Megatron, but Megatron overpowers Optimus and prepares to deliver the killing blow.

The kids, watching it on the monitor, start to panic. However, Red Alert sees a bright flash of light and tells them to keep calm.

That flash of light promptly shoots down the [[Air Military Mini-Con Team]] before revealing itself to be an armed space shuttle. It starts to dogfight with Starscream, and then both transform into robot mode; the shuttle identifies himself as [[Jetfire (Armada)|Jetfire]], second in command of the Autobots. Jetfire then promptly shoots Starscream down before strafing the gully. This allows the other Autobots to move forward, blasting Sideways, Demolishor, and Cyclonus before jumping Megatron. Seeing that he is now outnumbered, Megatron orders everyone to retreat. Thrust protests the order, but after getting shot by Jetfire he also falls back.

Jetfire and the other Autobots share a moment as they finally meet back up. A voice over by Rad talks about how despite this being a quiet moment, the war was about to heat up and Jetfire would play an important role.

[[Rad White|Rad]] wonders where the [[Star Saber (Armada)|Star Saber]] and the [[Skyboom (Armada)|Skyboom Shield]] came from and why the [[Autobot|Autobots]] won't provide the kids with any answers. [[Blurr (Armada)|Blurr]] and [[Hot Shot (Armada)|Hot Shot]] won't even let them into the base. [[Optimus Prime (Armada)|Optimus Prime]] steps out to tell them it's too dangerous.

[[Megatron (Armada)|Megatron]] attempts to run a battle simulation on the [[Moon (moon)|Moon]], powerlinking with four [[Mini-Cons]] and instructing the [[Land Military Mini-Con Team]] to run interference while he attacks a hologram of Prime. [[Sideways (RID)|Sideways]] looses off a shot at his leader, just to remind him there'll be other Autobots on the battlefield too. After shooting at Prime for a bit, Megatron snarls at the Land Military team for not obeying his orders.

Optimus briefs his men on the planned setup for their mission, which will include [[Smokescreen (Armada)|Smokescreen]] staying back with the Skyboom Shield ready to launch off his long arm launcher. The briefing is interrupted by the [[Street Action Mini-Con Team]] who want to know why they're not coming on the mission too, but Optimus says it's because it's too risky.

The kids wander away from the Autobot base, complaining about not being allowed in. The three Street Action Mini-Cons soon catch up with them and let the kids know they've received a transmission from the Decepticon-held Mini-Cons. [[Fred (Armada)|Fred]]'s theory that the Mini-Cons on the Moon are lonely and want to join up with their friends on Earth gains traction. While Rad and Fred go to tell Optimus, the rest of the kids run with their Mini-Cons towards the warp gate.

On the Moon, Megatron confirms with the Land Military team that they've made contact with the Mini-Cons on Earth. Teleporting them and four other Mini-Cons to Earth, he tells his men that he'll split up the Autobots and then contact them with further instructions.

Fred and Rad are unable to get into the Autobot base until Rad uses [[Laserbeak (Armada)|Laserbeak]] to let Optimus know what's up. Optimus and Hot Shot pop out to let the pair know they're going to take care of it and to stay put.

The rest of the kids reach the area of the warp gate in time to see the Land Military team teleport in and then promptly teleport out again. When [[Carlos Lopez|Carlos]] steps forward, Optimus appears to tell them to go back, and Megatron teleports in. The Decepticon invites Optimus to come in his direction before disappearing again. Although Optimus again warns the kids, Fred doesn't think there's anything to be afraid of. Walking over to where Megatron was, Fred is teleported out as well, followed by Rad. The other Autobots follow suit, much to the annoyance of [[Alexis]] who feels left out.

The Decepticons find that one of the Mini-Cons seems to be messing with their teleport signal. Although [[Demolishor (Armada)|Demolishor]] is concerned for his leader, Sideways and [[Starscream (Armada)|Starscream]] are unenthusiastic.

In the Autobot base, Alexis tells [[Scavenger (Armada)|Scavenger]] and [[Red Alert (Armada)|Red Alert]] that she can't raise a signal from Laserbeak.

The four missing Autobots arrive with Rad and Fred in a heavily forested area and immediately come under fire from Megatron, who teleports out. Optimus and the boys teleport out, closely followed by Hot Shot, leaving Blurr and Smokescreen wondering how the plan is going to work now. Hot Shot arrives alone in an icy wasteland. Rad and Fred arrive in a mountainous area and are saved from falling by Optimus. He explains that the Mini-Cons may be difficult to lure away from Megatron as they regard him as a father figure. The trio are soon teleported again, this time to a ghost town. Megatron tells them to follow him, then teleports out with his Mini-Con forces. A couple of Mini-Cons stay behind long enough to beep at the kids.

Arriving in a desert, the Mini-Cons seem to be on the verge of deserting Megatron until he threatens to slice them in half. Once Optimus and the boys arrive, he forces the Mini-Cons to attack. Rad and Fred manage to persuade Optimus to stop firing back and, once the boys are out of harm's way, he lowers his weapons, walking towards the Mini-Cons. As Megatron gloats, the Mini-Cons pause in their attack, and he has to prompt them to resume firing. Optimus falters but continues on until finally the Mini-Cons stop firing. Megatron interprets this as an invitation for him to finish Prime off himself.

Alexis and Demolishor are both able to finally contact the battle field, as the Mini-Cons hear Optimus' empassioned plea and turn their weapons on Megatron. Optimus opens fire on Megatron as well, though the latter is protected by the Star Saber. The rest of the Autobots warp in with the Skyboom Shield which Hot Shot uses to block Megatron's attack. The Decepticon leader retreats.

Back at base, Optimus undergoes repairs and says that the energy released when the Star Saber and Skyboom Shield clashed was the cries of the enslaved Mini-Cons. The Autobots must work as a team to free the remaining enslaved Mini-Cons.

In the Autobots' base, Hot Shot is running through an obstacle course of suspended metal pieces, while the Mini-Cons try to slow him down by tossing stuff at him. But before Hot Shot can win, Blurr catches up and captures the flag. Smokescreen arrives and asks to join in the training, and Blurr goads Smokescreen to attempt a run by challenging his performance hardware. While taking several hits in the process, Smokescreen eventually manages to grab the flag.

==Synopsis==
Testing the power of the [[Skyboom (Armada)|Skyboom]] Shield, Megatron disintegrates an entire comet. Satisfied with his new toy's power, Megatron anticipates the next conflict will allow the [[Decepticon|Decepticons]] to end the routine of battling for new [[Mini-Cons]] and finish the [[Autobot|Autobots]].

In the Autobots' base, Hot Shot is running through an obstacle course of suspended metal pieces, while the Mini-Cons try to slow him down by tossing stuff at him. But before Hot Shot can win, Blurr catches up and captures the flag. Smokescreen arrives and asks to join in the training, and Blurr goads Smokescreen to attempt a run by challenging his performance hardware. While taking several hits in the process, Smokescreen eventually manages to grab the flag.

In the Autobot control room, Optimus receives a direct challenge from Megatron. Optimus knows that despite being hopelessly overpowered, it is his job to accept the challenge. The Autobots all rush out to teleport to the location Megatron specified.

When the Autobots arrive to battle the Decepticons, Megatron summons his [[Star Saber (Armada)|Star Saber]] and Skyboom Shield and tells Demolishor to hold back, as he anticipates that with his new weapons, he can defeat the Autobots on his own. The shield blocks attacks from Hot Shot and Blurr, and then all of the Autobots' firepower. Megatron moves forward and slices apart Optimus's rifle. Cyclonus and Demolishor contribute by raining down gunfire on the scattering Autobots, allowing Megatron and Optimus to be separated from the rest of the group.

Hot Shot and Blurr notice Optimus fighting Megatron by himself, and the two transform and rush to aid their leader. Starscream and Cyclonus chase the duo from the air. Hot Shot provides cover fire while Blurr attempts to lose his pursuers. Blurr and Hot Shot trade positions, and eventually Cyclonus and Starscream fly out of range. Powerlinking with Swindle, Starscream "lays a pounding" on the two cars.

In a move even Demolishor finds unwise, Sideways dives directly onto Red Alert, but is soundly blasted away. Smokescreen, tired of the Decepticons holding an advantage, powerlinks with Liftor and disrupts Starscream. Demolishor rolls a large boulder at Smokescreen, who is pinned to the ground. When Cyclonus observes that the Decepticons are maintaining their advantage, he's blasted out of the sky by Sideways, whom neither side sees.

Near a crevice, Optimus is still surviving against Megatron. Hot Shot and Blurr arrive to distract Megatron, allowing Optimus to grab onto the Skyboom Shield while Megatron is still holding it. Trying to slice Optimus away, Megatron accidentally tosses the shield into the crevice. Angry, he attempts to impale Optimus but is halted by Sparkplug.

With Megatron intending to get at Optimus by slicing through Sparkplug, the Skyboom Shield activates and levitates from the crevice to protect the Autobot. The two weapons used against each other send out a bright light that Rad notes is similar to the light that reactivated all the Mini-Cons in the [[First Encounter|start]] of their Earth encounters.

The Decepticons, having lost the shield, retreat to their base again. The Autobots congratulate Smokescreen for changing the tide of battle (that is, before he was caught under a rock), and Fred hugs Carlos.
