Despite that, she's enthusiastic, skilled, has the right bedside manner, and learning on-the-job fast. Having served on the ''[[Vis Vitalis]]'' and now the ''[[Lost Light]]'', she's ready and willing to put her medical skills to good use! However difficult her quests get, she has no regrets.

As someone from [[Caminus]], she missed the Autobot-Decepticon war and has no preconceptions when she meets former Decepticons like [[Megatron (G1)/IDW Generation 1 continuity|Megatron]].

She was never very good at her exams {{storylink|The Sensuous Frame}} and worse still, Camien culture's focus on the performing arts as worthy left Velocity believing that her medical studies weren't as worthwhile. {{storylink|The Frail Gaze}}

Having finally passed her exams (it took ten goes!), Velocity was with Firestar and many of her former classmates {{storylink|The Sensuous Frame}} on a search for Windblade when their pilot, [[Vertex]], died at the ship controls after they visited the planet [[Marasma]]. Luckily they were rescued by the ''[[Vis Vitalis]]'' and fell into the heroic [[Thunder Clash|Thunderclash]]'s crew. {{storylink|The Frail Gaze}} She served as an extra medic but after a passing doctor fixed his spark, he abruptly took a turn for the worse.

Rather than attend the dying Thunderclash's pre-wake dance party, Velocity stayed in Thunderclash's med-bay, bringing [[First Aid (G1)|First Aid]] and [[Minimus Ambus]] up to date with what had happened to Thunderclash since she joined up; the leader's ever-failing health, and his single-minded devotion to carving a map to [[Cyberutopia]] into the nearby wall. First Aid soon discovered that Thunderclash ''shouldn't be dying'', as his war wound, the thing that was ''supposed'' to be killing him, was healed... he was dying from something else, something unknown. When pressed for information on who fixed the damage to Thunderclash's spark, Velocity was unable to describe the passing medic to performed the miracle, able to only come up with "she was ''normal''" despite her best efforts.

The group then realized that Thunderclash was manipulating the readouts of the medical machines to send a warning to the crew. Before they could make sense of it, a knock from Thunderclash's trailer interrupted them {{storylink|The Sensuous Frame}} and they were besieged by monsters! Only a revived Thunderclash allowed them to escape and take refuge with some others... including Nautica, who congratulated "Lotty" on passing her exams. She helped [[Nightbeat (G1)|Nightbeat]] identify their opponents as [[personality tick]]s and how to stop them, only for the things to burst in and overrun them... but don't worry, [[Skater|some other dude]] sorted it. Afterwards, Firestar successfully encouraged Velocity to join the ''[[Lost Light]]'' instead of returning home: to "help Nautica" but really to give her a place to properly work on her medical skills. {{storylink|The Frail Gaze}}

She had only just unpacked when First Aid had to leave, following orders from [[Optimus Prime (G1)|Optimus Prime]]. However, his leaving was interrupted when [[Skids (G1)|Skids]] burst in carrying a wounded [[ Swerve (G1)|Swerve]]. The two of them diagnosed his various problems but Swerve was too weak to operate on without knowing the exact cause of the illnesses. This meant the rest of the crew had to project their [[Holomatter|Holomatter avatars]] down to [[Swearth|the enormous planet he was projecting]].

After he had been found and diagnosed with a shoulder infection, she operated on him and saved his life, the first time she had ever done that to somebody. First Aid congratulated her and left her a 'phone' to call in case she ever did need help. While he was flying away, First Aid realised something important and ordered her to operate on Swerve's shoulder again, where she found a data slug in bullet form {{storylink|The One Where They Go to Earth}} that contained a message from Autobot spy "[[Dominus Ambus|Agent 113]]", that, among other things, told them the secret base of [[Censere|the mythical Necrobot]]!

Velocity was relaxed enough around Megatron to be glad when he was happy, and thus turned down being part of a mutiny against him; thus getting brainwashed to forget it. The mutineers then had most of the people they wanted out zapped with a psychic lure, which distorted into a weapon and left her with several patients. When the afflicted decided to follow the signal to the source, Velocity went with them and was talked by [[Mainframe (G1)|Mainframe]] into taking Whirl with her (to get rid of 'im). Oh wait, that same Ratchet that she'd heard was a grumpy old git? Maybe she shouldn't have said that to his face, oops! {{storylink|The Dying of the Light Part 3: Your Fierce Tears|Your Fierce Tears}} Ratchet continued to disappoint her, as she found his brusque nature and overconfidence grating. When he started reading her updates on what he'd missed, she snapped that she assumed it'd be ''after'' he'd finished patching up Megatron instead of during. To her dismay, he then spotted something ''she'd'' missed: Powerflash and Strafe's ill-effects earlier were what happens to Transformers given an artificial boost, and it indicated they'd been given such a boost by Tailgate's spark. To her greater dismay, this meant Tailgate was at risk of a sudden crash himself!

==Synopsis==
Wing saber is being interrogated by [[Steelgrave]], but escapes before the [[Predacon (BW)|Predacon]] can torture her. Blasting her way through a room full of enemies, she flies back to her ship, the ''[[Chromia 10]]''.

On another planet, [[Crossblades (BW)|Crossblades]] and [[Stiletto (BW)|Stiletto]] battle and easily win against numerous Predacons. In the aftermath of the battle, the two are alerted by the communications officer of the [[Maximal]] starship ''[[Defiant]]'' that they are to report to Wing Saber and obey her orders. Shortly afterward, the ''Chromia 10'' sets down.

Elsewhere, the [[Tripredacus Council]] convenes to discuss the actions of renegade Predacons. The [[Decepticon|Decepticons]] have retreated into history, allowing the [[Autobot]]s and Maximals to achieve victory over the Predacons. The Tripredicus Council will soon be signing the [[Pax Cybertronia]] to mark the end of the [[Great War (G1)|Great War]], but outlaw Predacons, like Steelgrave's band on the planet [[Nibari]], threaten to bring the Maximals down on all Predacons, eliminating them forever. The Council leaks the details of these renegades to the Maximals, knowing that Maximal forces are spread too thin to properly deal with the situation. While both sides are distracted, the Council will send an agent to ensure that Nibari's resources ultimately end up in the their hands.

Maximal Command contacts Wing Saber, showing her pictures of enemy activity on Nibari. The Predacons have co-opted the native [[Nibarian]]s' technology to mass produce [[Transformer]] bodies without [[spark]]s. Command orders Wing Saber's team to gather information and report back. Wing Saber recognizes Steelgrave in the photos, and knows that he's not smart enough to run such an operation. More is happening on Nibari than Maximal Command suspects, and Wing Saber intends to find out what.

The Nibarian [[Ritash]] ponders his race's future amidst the Predacon occupation of his world. Upon hearing the news of the Predacons' conversion of the Nibarians' robotics and computer factories in the city of Ro'kar, Ritash begins to formulate a plan.

Disguising themselves as barmaids, the three Maximals incapacitate Steelgrave and his cronies before moving on to the Transformer manufacturing plant. There, the three run into a group of native Nibarians, lead by Ritash. While batling the Predascons, the Nibarians successfully shut down the factory, if only temporarily. Wing Saber gathers data by plugging into the plant's computers. Before long, however, the Predacons' mysterious "Leader" reveals himself to be none other than the dreaded [[Megatron (G1)|Megatron]]. The Maximals flee the factory, rescuing the injured Ritash.

Wing Saber lets Ritash in on her plans, and encourages him to continue to lead the resistance, in spite of his doubts.

Wing Saber and her team fly the ''Chromia-10'' to Megatron's headquarters to challenge him to a duel, which he accepts. Wing Saber hopes to take advantage of the Decepticon leader's legendary arrogance.

Arriving at the site of the challenge, the Maximals greet the enormous Megatron. With a crowd of onlooking Predacons, the four combatants engage. Via a series of strikes from Crossblades and Stiletto, Megatron's body is revealed to a disguise. When the false Megatron is facing defeat, over the horizon, an army of [[drones]] arrives from the converted Nibarian factories. But the imposter's relief is short lived as he realizes that the drones are commanded by the Nimiarians. When the Maximals had infiltrated the factory earlier, Wing Saber had rigged the drones to obey the Nibartians. The Predacons are easily vanquished. A final strike reveals [[Flamewar]] inside the Megatron shell. Outraged, the Tripredacus agent loudly proclaims the superiority of the Decepticons, and shuns the Predacons. But Flamewar is defeated, and Wing Saber threatens to turn her over to the [[Predacon Alliance]].

Stiletto and Crossblades agree to become part of Wing Saber's team for the long-term, and Ritash says the Nibarians will turn the Predacon drones into construction machines.

Epilogue:
[[Airazor (BW)|Airazor]] escapes from the clutches of Megatron. She tampers with the launch console, causing the Predacons to retreat from the impending explosion. After the dust settles, Airazor swoops to aid [[Tigatron]] and [[Dinobot (BW)|Dinobot]]. Tigatron expresses his astonishment over her battle with Megatron. Airazor explains that something with her spark provided her with the sudden solution.

Some people are team players, and some...well, aren't. '''Prowl''' falls into the latter category. A loner at heart, he has little interest in teamwork, something [[Optimus Prime (Animated)|Optimus Prime]] finds extremely frustrating.

Prowl is an adept and agile one-on-one fighter who strikes swiftly and unseen. He feels cooperation with the [[Bumblebee (Animated)|loud]] and [[Bulkhead (Animated)|unsubtle]] Autobots around him would cramp his style. Despite Prowl's battle prowess, this unwillingness to work with his teammates causes problems.

Still, he's not without his redeeming features. He has a deep, deep fascination with organic lifeforms. His quarters on [[Earth]] is missing most of its ceiling, allowing him a permanent window into nature. In fact, he seems to have a deeper appreciation of his new surroundings than the [[human]]s who grew up with them. The phrase "stop and smell the roses" is a life truth for Prowl, and he can spend hours motionless, [[Beachcomber (G1)|watching the world play out around him]].

Prowl uses an array of throwing weapons, such as cutting discs, that he can hurl with high accuracy. While useful as projectiles, these weapons tend to be far more damaging at close range and will occasionally bounce off their target with little damage if thrown from too great a distance. He's the only [[Sideswipe (G1)|Autobot with a jetpack]], granting him limited flight.

Prowl showed a lack of interest in both teamwork (as a loner type) and in the motivational (kinda long-winded) speeches of [[Optimus Prime (Animated)|Optimus Prime]]. He did not obey orders at first and learned of the consequences firsthand as he was nearly killed by a nanite-enhanced cockroach. After his revival at the hands of [[Sari Sumdac|Sari]] and her [[AllSpark (Animated)|AllSpark-]]empowered [[Sari Sumdac's key|key]], he showed that he had become a valuable team player when he headed out with Bumblebee and Sari to save [[Isaac Sumdac|Professor Sumdac]] and [[Captain Fanzone]] from [[Starscream (Animated)|Starscream]]. {{storylink|Transform and Roll Out!}}

Later, Prowl was watching a cat stalk a bird. He found it fascinating, but was aggravated when he was interrupted by human fans. Returning to base, he hid out in his Japanese-themed room, only to be interrupted by Prime and Bumblebee. Even worse, Sari threw a slumber party, pushing Prowl to the edge by the commotion. Ironically, when [[Megatron (Animated)|Megatron]] took over the factory, Prowl was able to show Bumblebee the value of stillness in battle, something the pair would work on later in a game of Twister™. {{storylink|Home Is Where the Spark Is}}

In an attempt to get [[Bulkhead (Animated)|Bulkhead]] to be less bumbling and destructive, he tried to teach his comrade how to move with ninja-like grace as he did. It...did not go well. Bulkhead's effectiveness in battle was undermined until Prowl realized Bulkhead's approach had its place and encouraged him to "do what you do." He also sensed [[spark]]s within the [[Dinobots (Animated)|Dinobots]] and, unwilling to let them be destroyed, secretly hid them on a small island before they were melted down. As he explained to Bulkhead, "Just because something's big and lumbering and destructive, doesn't mean you give up on it." {{storylink|Blast from the Past}}

Reasoning correctly that the Decepticons would target Sari to get at her AllSpark-empowered key, Prowl took to instructing her in the art of "ninja nerve blows." It was shortly after one of these sessions that his decision to save the Dinobots seemingly came back to haunt him when the gargantuan robots kidnapped the girl. He headed to their island home with Bulkhead in tow, the suspicious [[Captain Fanzone]] shadowing them somewhat clumsily the whole way. However the police captain was not prepared for the environmental hazards of the secluded island and had to be rescued by the pair of Autobots. Together, the three of them discovered that the Dinobots had been coerced into kidnapping Sari by [[Prometheus Black]], whose corrosive touch they had come to fear. Forced along with Fanzone to fight the mad geneticist's creations in a gladiatorial arena, Prowl began to develop a bond with the captain, who in turn came to trust Prowl. {{storylink|Survival of the Fittest}}

When Decepticon energy signals were detected, the Autobots quickly realized that they were outnumbered. Bulkhead mentioned that the Dinobots might be able to help, not aware that Prowl hadn't told Optimus they had moved them to Dinobot Island. Prime was furious and ordered the two to take him there at once. After searching the island, the Autobots found the Dinobots. Prime's introduction was less than friendly, and Prowl was forced to smooth things over with Grimlock. They were unwilling to help, so the Autobots left, unsure of their next move. When Bumblebee contacted Prime, saying that Starscream was at Sumdac Tower, he ordered him to stand down. When they arrived at the tower, they saw Bumblebee fighting Starscream. Prime dryly noted that disobeying orders was becoming a habit, but Prowl wasn't too insulted.

He was too busy being shocked by Megatron bursting through Sumdac Tower. {{storylink|Megatron Rising - Part 1}}

Quickly regaining their composure, the Autobots attacked, only for Megatron to defeat all three of them himself. After the battle, Sumdac revealed that he had helped rebuild Megatron. Prowl was furious, but Prime said that it was unimportant. Using residual key energy in Sumdac's lab, the Autobots repaired themselves, and Prime apologized for his harsh words. Ratchet and Sari came in the ship, but it was shot down over Dinobot Island. During the subsequent battle, Prowl noticed that Blitzwing's multiple personalities were connected to his [[alternate mode]]s. To cause his hotheaded side to emerge and transform into a tank, Prowl suggested that Bumblebee use his greatest strength{{m-}} his obnoxious personality. {{storylink|Megatron Rising - Part 2}}

Prowl's fighting style is [[Metallikato]], or [[Circuit-Su|at least]] borrows from it, according to [[Jazz (Animated)|Jazz]]. {{storylink|The Elite Guard}} Jazz also makes a mild snipe that he'd not gotten that far in his ninja training. Which raises the question, why is Prowl in with a repair crew?

While responding to a report of rampages on Dinobot Island, Prowl and Bulkhead were given Ratchet's EMP generator and stasis cuffs to detain the Dinobots. Discovering that Grimlock had a metal shard wedged in his foot, Prowl used the generator to dull Grimlock's sensors and remove the shard. However, they then received a call from [[Ultra Magnus (Animated)|Ultra Magnus]] that Starscream had escaped. Heading to the Autobots' crashed ship, Prowl used [[Teletran 1]] to scan for Starscream, discovering him on the Moon. Prowl suggested that they go after Starscream, but Bulkhead thought it was suicide. So Prowl stole a shuttle and went off by himself. Locating Starscream on the Moon, he managed to place stasis cuffs on the Decepticon, but [[Lockdown]] appeared to take Starscream off Prowl's hands. During their fight, Starscream escaped and destroyed Prowl's shuttle. Stowing away on Lockdown's ship, Prowl suggested an alliance to capture him. Lockdown gave him a set of armor that would assist him in the hunt. Discovering a purple (and frightened) Starscream, they captured him, but Lockdown revealed that he was working for Megatron. Prowl would not allow Starscream to be taken, but Lockdown tied Prowl up and left.

The other Autobots arrived and chewed out Prowl for his actions, but Prowl insisted that they retrieve Starscream first. During their pursuit, Starscream somehow showed up and offered an alliance against Megatron. Prowl took down Starscream, but in his actions, he destroyed a bird nest. Realizing that the modifications he had were going to his head, he resolved to abandon them... once they got Starscream. Prowl initially flubbed an attempt to spy on the meet between Megatron and Lockdown and quickly found himself outgunned until the other Autobots arrived with the second Starscream. During the standoff that followed, the two Starscreams revealed that they had bombs inside them. Prowl used the armor he had been given to send them into the sky, saving Detroit from destruction. Lockdown then contacted Prowl, offering him a partnership, but Prowl declined and returned Ratchet's EMP generator. {{storylink|A Fistful of Energon}}

He requests backup, but the transmission is cut off. Ultra Magnus explains this is but one of many reports of rising Decepticon activity. Jazz thinks it is due to the rumours of Megatron's survival, and Sentinel can't resist an opportunity to make a snide comment about the source of those rumours: Optimus Prime. Magnus therefore decides that all Earth-bound Autobots will make preparations to leave the planet. When Optimus protests due to the presence of Decepticons on Earth, Ultra Magnus brushes him off, whilst Sentinel butts in with another tirade about putting Prime up for an inquiry (or a [[wikipedia:court-martial|court-martial]], as Optimus perceives it). Ultra Magnus tries to make his position clear; that in the long run, everyone is better off believing Megatron is dead. Putting forward the idea of the Decepticon leader surviving and the [[AllSpark (Animated)|AllSpark]] being destroyed would cause panic among the Autobots and strengthen the resolve of the Decepticons. An outraged Optimus is forced into compliance.

Back at the factory, Sari is heartbroken by the idea of her friends being forced to leave Earth. The situation is made worse when Sentinel shows up. With his usual grace and tact, he tells Sari to belt up and officially inducts Optimus's team into the war effort. In the middle of insulting the "repair grunts", he makes a gesture of sorts to Optimus: Do as Ultra Magnus says, admit he's been lying, and Sentinel will use his connections to get Optimus's military career back on track, as thanks for [[Return of the Headmaster|the recent Headmaster incident]]. When Optimus tells him what to do with his offer, Sentinel places him under formal arrest.

On a garbage scow moving along the river, Starscream suddenly reactivates. Disorientated, he panics when he realises that not only can he not pick up any Decepticon energy signatures, he can't even pick up his own! After a moment of shock, he recovers and gets his bearings: he's alive and still on Earth. Furious at Megatron's attempt on his life, he transforms and blasts off into the sky.

At the Decepticon base, Blitzwing and Lugnut successfully test out Professor Sumdac's new Decepticon signal dampener. Mildly impressed, Megatron quickly moves on, demanding the creation of a subspace communicator so he can contact his forces in space to call off the aimless skirmishes until he can build his own space bridge. When Sumdac comments that Earth technology is too primitive, Megatron smugly informs him that they will simply steal the required tech from the Elite Guard's ship. Meanwhile, the Autobots are trying to figure out what to do with Sari, so they take her to the most together human they know, Captain Fanzone—although they do point out that most of the humans they know are criminally insane.

While they handle that, Optimus is on the Elite Guard's ship, with Sentinel still trying to convince him to play ball. Optimus refuses to lie, while Sentinel says that confirming there are no Decepticons on Earth would merely confirm what their sensors are saying. While they argue, Lugnut and Blitzwing tunnel under the ship's shield and steal a tachyon transmitter. As they make their escape, they fail to notice Starscream tailing them back to base.

As Lugnut presents his prize to Megatron, Starscream makes his presence known. What follows is a quick but decisive victory for Megatron, who simply slashes Starscream before blasting him point-blank. Lugnut checks to see if Starscream is still online, and finding no spark, helps Blitzwing toss his corpse into the river. After floating downstream, Starscream suddenly reactivates again. He realises he lacks a spark and discovers he is being kept alive by a fragment of the AllSpark buried in his head, effectively making him immortal. Delighted, he declares the end of Megatron's era. As Megatron sends his message out to the Decepticons, Starscream attacks...and is promptly killed again. After a couple more fruitless attempts, he starts to wonder if he needs a new strategy. His fragment allows him to locate a second shard, and a plan begins to formulate...

At the Elite Guard ship, Magnus presses Optimus Prime to cooperate, when Jazz reveals that he's discovered a sudden surge in AllSpark energy. Concluding that it's another shard, Magnus and Jazz go to retrieve it, while Sentinel is to remain and watch Optimus. As Sentinel moans, Optimus realizes that they had only found AllSpark shards before due to [[Sari Sumdac's key|Sari's key]]. Doing a thermal scan, he discovers Starscream. Optimus tries to warn Ultra Magnus, but Sentinel threatens to put him in [[stasis cuffs]] if he tries to leave. Optimus is able to take down Sentinel (who [[Starscream (G1)|squeals]] like a [[Carly|girl]]) and place him in the cuffs, then [[roll out|rolls out]].

Meanwhile, the Autobots are watching Sari "interview" Captain Fanzone, who is not very fond of children. Optimus contacts the Autobots and tells them to meet him en route to the train.

As Starscream gloats about his plan to draw out Megatron and kill him in a massive explosion, Ultra Magnus and Jazz arrive, as do Megatron and Blitzwing. Megatron realizes that it's a trap set by Starscream, while Magnus and Jazz have trouble extracting the shard. An energy surge throws the Elite Guard off the train. Further ahead along the tracks, Optimus orders Prowl to sever the passenger cars from the main car, while Bumblebee takes Sari to use the key to remove the shard. They succeed, but the train still nearly crashes, only stopped because Ratchet uses his magnets from ahead while Bulkhead, anchored by Optimus Prime, grabs the rear of the train. High in the air, as Starscream fumes about the lost opportunity, Megatron appears, ready to beat him senseless.

On the ground, Ultra Magnus reprimands Optimus Prime, while Sentinel Prime arrives and accuses him of assault. Though Optimus defends his position, both Elite Guardsmen point out that there is no evidence of Decepticons{{m-}}only for Starscream to crash into the ground mere meters away, causing Sentinel Prime to freak out at the sight of an actual Decepticon. Quickly coming back online, Starscream takes advantage of Magnus's momentary inattention to blast the Autobot leader into unconsciousness from point-blank range, taking the shard with him. The Autobots' attempts to take down Starscream fail, until Optimus comes up with a plan—although an intervention from Jazz is required to make Sentinel go along with it. Having Sentinel draw Starscream's attention, Optimus uses the stasis cuffs on the Decepticon, who is then taken to the Elite Guard ship—with his mouth riveted shut.

Ultra Magnus admits that Optimus Prime was right about there being Decepticons on Earth, and though Sentinel Prime brings up the assault and insubordination charges, Magnus still supports Optimus's actions. Magnus decides that Optimus Prime's crew will remain on Earth to locate the remaining AllSpark shards and capture the Decepticons, while the Elite Guard returns to Cybertron for Magnus to conduct the war effort. Sari is overjoyed that the Autobots are staying, but promises Captain Fanzone that they can still hang out.

Meanwhile, Megatron tells his minions to inform their double agent on Cybertron that the Decepticons have repledged their allegiance to Megatron and that their attacks will draw Autobot forces away from the Transformers' home world. Once the space bridge technology is fully developed, Megatron's group will return to Cybertron and conquer the planet from within...

If Starscream wasn't meant to be concealed, then it's a continuity error, as Prime wouldn't need a thermal scan to detect him, just a magnified visual.

* Not ''really'' an animation error ''per se'', but when the Autobots stop the train, Sari is somehow not hurled forward off its roof by her own momentum, even though she is not restrained in any fashion. Unless...''she's a witch!''

* Megatron and the other Decepticons don't seem to wonder why it is that Starscream keeps coming back, despite the fact that they note that his spark compartment is empty. (Unless Megatron did find the allspark fragment, and decided it'd be fun to keep him around as a target for violence.)

* Megatron shatters Starscream's yellow cockpit the first and fourth times he "kills" him in the episode, leaving his empty spark chamber visible. When Starscream pulls a [[wikipedia:Jack_Harkness|Captain Jack]], it is still missing. After he sees his reflection in the water the first time, and simply when they cut to a different angle on the fourth time, it is suddenly present and intact once more. (It's possible that's because of the miraculous powers of the AllSpark shard; if it can keep Starscream online, it surely can regenerate any damage he has taken.)

* The AllSpark shard Starscream recovers changes size constantly, from barely fitting into Starscream's hand, to small enough to fit into Optimus's palm with his hand closed.

* How did Sentinel get the stasis cuffs off?

* When Optimus Prime puts the newly acquired fragment of the AllSpark into its housing, there are four shards total, even though thus far, only two have been recovered by the Autobots on-screen (three if they ripped the one out of Starscream's brainpan, but seeing as he's still online, that's not likely). Optimus does note in the episode that, in the past, Sari's key had been the primary tool used to locate fragments of the AllSpark. As this has only happened in the episode "The Elite Guard" so far (as well as this episode), it is conceivable that the Autobots managed to locate two other "SmallSparks" off-screen.

* As Lugnut and Blitzwing tunnel under the force shield to the Elite Guard's ship, they leave a gigantic hole, which no one notices. And later on, the hole has mysteriously disappeared.

I think this article is being a little too easy on this guy... I mean his coloring was awful no matter what book he was on.

Case in point, the GIJoe comics. I've read the entire Marvel run and the only issues where there were significant color foul-ups were (surprise surprise) the small handful of issues colored by Yomtov. This was every bit as much a "toy" book as Transformers was, and the artists/colorists had as many new and recurring toy characters to draw and color as the Transformers book did. To which I say, the whole B Plot of the show was how Prime DID NOT leave the Ark unguarded, anticipated Decepticon trickery in that one instance, and left five uber-Autobots, Dinobots, to guard Teletraan I, not zero Autobots as the question suggests.

A busy construction site is attacked by driver-less construction equipment, and several components are stolen. The construction vehicles return to Decepticon headquarters and are revealed to be the newly built Constructicons. The components they stole are parts to a machine that will allow Megatron to absorb the [[power chip rectifier]]s from his [[Decepticon]] warriors.

While the final preparations are completed on the machine, Megatron flies to [[Autobot]] headquarters and makes Optimus Prime an offer he can’t refuse. Megatron offers the [[Prime (rank)|Autobot leader]] a one on one battle with the winner staying on [[Earth]] to do as he pleases, and the loser taking his army and exiling themselves to deep space. Prime, confident in his own abilities, accepts the challenge and sets the match.

Knowing that Prime would be unable to resist a chance to honorably end their conflict, Megatron returns to the Decepticon base and uses the newly completed machine to gain all of the special powers of his warriors. [[Skywarp (G1)|Skywarp]]’s teleportation, [[Thundercracker (G1)|Thundercracker]]’s sonic boom, [[Rumble (G1)|Rumble]]’s seismic attack, etc. Knowing that Megatron would now be unbeatable, Starscream voices concerns that the Autobot computer [[Teletraan I]] would be able to detect what Megatron had done. Anticipating this problem, Megatron dispatches the Constructicons to take care of the computer.

The two armies arrive at the battle site, and the contest begins. Megatron unleashes a barrage of powers, (while Starscream gives a running commentary) and Prime is outclassed at every step. Not knowing that he has been deceived, Prime concedes the fight and comments that he underestimated Megatron. The shocked Autobots begin the trek back to base, and the Decepticons follow to make sure they leave.

Meanwhile, the Constructicons have nearly tunneled their way into the [[Ark]] and Teletraan I. Teletraan I, sensing the imminent danger, activates the Dinobots. The Dinobots respond and start pounding on the Constructicons opening up a lava channel in the process. The battle not going in their favor, the Constructicons pull out one last trick and combine into the super warrior, [[Devastator (G1)|Devastator]]. The returning Autobots see the battle, but are unable to help. Inside the Ark, Teletraan I is able to show that Megatron cheated, and the Autobots rush outside to help the Dinobots.

Further complicating the Constructicons origins is a flashback in [[Five Faces of Darkness, Part 4]] where the Constructicons are shown creating Megatron, which contradicts the origin of being built on Earth.

Unable to rely on the police, old ladies begin arming themselves in their gardens. Desperate, the police turn to the Autobots, who seek to stem the fighting. The [[Protectobot (G1)|Protectobot]]s, after some harshing on the part of [[Hot Rod|Rodimus Prime]], roll out to stop the violence. Arriving in the city, the [[Decepticon]]s attack, and [[Blades]] is injured. First Aid takes him to Metroplex to get repairs, while Galvatron attacks. At [[Metroplex (G1)|Metroplex]], [[Swindle (G1)|Swindle]] breaks in and manages to steal Metroplex's transformation cog. First Aid tries to reason with Swindle, but the [[Combaticon]] merely shoots the Autobot medic, then leaves. Amid a fleet of naval destroyers, [[Trypticon]] rises from the sea and eats a ship before destroying the rest. Galvatron tells Trypticon to hurry to Metroplex, but realizes when and when not to push the dinosaur. Swindle arrives and attempts to haggle for the cog. Galvatron offers him a limited-time deal: Hand over the cog, or see his [[spark|life]] get ended.

At Metroplex, First Aid is feeling guilty over his pacifism. While Rodimus maintains that he would never force First Aid to violate his beliefs, First Aid decides to leave to clear his head. Learning that Trypticon is coming, the Autobots roll out. Reaching a nearby city, Trypticon menaces a train, but [[Defensor (G1)|Defensor]] manages to save it, even with only one arm. The [[Aerialbot (G1)|Aerialbot]]s move in to attack. [[Air Raid (G1)|Air Raid]] gets shot down, while [[Silverbolt (G1)|Silverbolt]] flies into Trypticon's stomach through his mouth, firing all the while. Injured, Trypticon is forced to retreat. However, it's only bought them time, as Metroplex is still the only one who can fight Trypticon, and he's locked in city mode. Even with the cog, First Aid is the only one who understands Metroplex's systems enough to fix him. [[Hot Spot (G1)|Hot Spot]] decides to track down his AWOL teammate.

Rodimus and Magnus head for Trypticon's hiding place, with [[Spike Witwicky|Spike]] and [[Daniel Witwicky|Daniel]] posing as repairmen. [[Vortex]], nearly duped, realizes that the cars are Autobots due to the pollution-free fuel that they are using. Daniel is thrown off a cliff, but Magnus saves him. Rodimus and Magnus distract the Decepticons while Spike and Daniel steal Trypticon's cog. Returning to Metroplex, they install Trypticon's cog in Metroplex, while the Decepticons install Metroplex's cog in Trypticon. (It's easy to get lost, but just pay attention and it will make sense.) Convinced that he "can still smash", Trypticon heads for battle. Metroplex [[Transformation|transforms]] from [[alternate mode|city mode]], but both cities are suffering problems.

At a junkyard, First Aid is keeping Nul-A, a junkyard robot, company while fixing abandoned refrigerators in an effort to think about something other than the Autobots. Hot Spot finds him and informs him of Metroplex's problem. Though still unsure of rejoining the Autobots, First Aid realizes that Metroplex's danger is more important. Meanwhile, Trypticon has gained the advantage and thrown Metroplex into a nearby lake. (Talk about irony.) Heading for Metroplex, First Aid manages to get inside and properly align the transformation cog, allowing Metroplex to transform fully. Metroplex throws Trypticon deeper into the lake, and the dinosaur sinks. Galvatron threatens to use the Ultimate Weapon, but Rodimus realizes that the weapon is a bluff. Out of options, Galvatron retreats. First Aid's faith in his work is restored, and Rodimus's confidence is emboldened, at least until the next time he has a crisis of faith.

*While not an out-and-out mistake, the Autobots' assertion that only First Aid could adjust the transformation cog for Metroplex seems a little dubious. [[Pipes (G1)|Pipes]], who was seen installing the thing in "The Five Faces of Darkness Part 5", surely would've been able to, if not Perceptor or the load of other Autobot handymen running around. Of course, it is possible that those guys were all off Earth at the time.

*Vortex almost finds out about Spike and Daniel's plan merely from the clean Autobot fumes Rodimus Prime and Ultra Magnus exhaust, but does not seem to notice the fact that Daniel is way too young to drive, nor that the vehicles are quite obviously the two Autobot leaders.

*How the mighty have fallen part 1: This episode suggests that the Decepticons operating on Earth now hire legitimate human workers for repair duties, instead of just enslaving them as would have done so in the past.

*How the mighty have fallen part 2: Menasor is defeated by a single blast from the Autobots, despite previous outings that showed him to be one of the most powerful Decepticon combiners. Fleeing through [[Decepticon Headquarters (Cybertron)|Decepticon Headquarters]], the two humans manage to take refuge inside a small hole in a computer. Carly attempts to work the machine, but is hit by a surge of electricity and falls into a nearby pit, damaging the computer, but also twisting her ankle in the process. [[Megatron (G1)|Megatron]] contacts Shockwave and orders him to send [[Cybertonium]] before the [[Decepticon]]s die, but Carly's tinkering has left the Space Bridge is non-functional.

After escaping the computer, Spike and Carly are guided to [[Wheeljack (G1)|Wheeljack]]'s old lab by [[Sparkplug Witwicky|Sparkplug]], using [[Teletraan I]]. They meet up with [[Swoop (G1)|Swoop]], who explains that the Dinobots were captured by the Decepticons and taken to the [[Cybertonium Pit]]. The three are guided by Sparkplug to a [[mass transit system]]. Unfortunately, the tube carrying their car is damaged, and they can no longer communicate with Sparkplug. Deep underground, the three are nearly killed when they activate old defense systems. Swoop saves the day, but his wings are damaged.

Reaching the surface, they find an abandoned city, which has clearly seen better days. Carly discovers a records room, with datatrack which explains the history of the [[Great War|terrible war between the Autobots and Decepticons]]. Swoop says that he never knew the war had gone on for so long, but are soon captured by a [[Sentinel (G1)|Sentinel]].

Carly is able to repair their memory circuits, and the Dinobots thank Carly and Spike for rescuing them (except [[Slag (G1)|Slag]], of course). Now that the Dinobots are themselves, Spike comes up with an escape plan. He and [[Grimlock (G1)|Grimlock]] start arguing, so the Sentinel decides to remove the humans. When the force field surrounding them comes down, the Dinobots destroy the drones. The Dinobots take the kids to an access tube, and Grimlock carries them up.

Having overheard this, the Dinobots overwhelm Shockwave, and although Shockwave is able to hit Swoop, the Dinobots and humans manage to escape back to Earth with a shipment of Cybertonium.

At the Autobot base, [[Optimus Prime (G1)|Optimus Prime]] awards Spike and Carly with medals, making them "honorary Autobots". So Siph brought it up and Steve-o and I talked about it for a bit... Anyway, how are we going to treat the characters from BotCon 2008? From what we know about the set, it's clearly just G1-but-evil, so I don't think it's different enough to pass off as a separate continuity family. On the other hand, it'd be cleaner to give them their own pages. Meanwhile, pages like Optimus Prime's are long enough that even his fiction sections need to begin being split off anyway.

What I think we should do, at the moment, is treat Mirror Optimus Prime as a split from G1 Prime's page. As.... [[Optimus Prime (G1 mirror)]], maybe? Also, uh, create some [[Optimus Prime (G1 cartoon)]] and [[Optimus Prime (G1 Marvel)]] pages and the like. I just thought I'd chip in with my two cents, since I created these first ''Shattered Glass'' articles last night. I think we should keep the articles for these characters separate, at least for now. Although yes, obviously, it does '''''appear''''' to be the case that ''Shattered Glass'' is just "Mirror G1" (as it were), we don't actually '''''know''''' that yet. I mean, to be fair, I think some of us are gettng ahead of ourselves here. Until we know otherwise for sure, I'm of the opinion that we should treat these as separate characters (just like the alternate universe [[Optimus Prime (Worlds Collide)|Optimus Prime from the ''Armada'' comic]]. I mean, if ''he'' gets his own page, then I think these guys should.

And I certainly think "Shattered Glass" is the preferable paranthetical, since there is (as yet) no other official term like "mirror" being used in relation to the set. Furthermore, it fits with our general naming convention of using the title of the character's native franchise/continuity, e.g. [[Thrust (Armada)]], [[Tankor (BM)]], [[Grimlock (Animated)]] etc..

The most inclusive definition seems to be, "If all the robot characters have the same names and approximate roles as characters from the G1 toyline, it's a G1 continuity. Unless it's the Movie." Time period is irrelevant, human characters are irrelevant, when and how the robots came to Earth is irrelevant, altmodes are irrelevant, the origin of the TF species is irrelevant . . . et cetera.

Based on what is known so far about the set/story, I have the following positions:
#Shattered Glass should be placed under the G1 umbrella. Yes, Prime is now evil, but he's still the leader, etc.. His role isn't ''that'' different.
#Each Shattered Glass character should have their own character page, with links back and forth to their "regular" character. Despite thinking of Shattered Glass as being G1, I think that the character differences ''in concert with'' bookkeeping/convenience factors make splitting the best option. I don't want my Bumblebee fiction section to be full of all this stuff about "normal" Bumblebees and then in the middle there's this random evil Bumblebee who has no fictional connections to all the surrounding material.

Heya, PacifistPrime here again. I agree that the characters should have separate pages (I mean, if [[Optimus Prime (Worlds Collide)]] gets a page, then ''surely''...!), but I'm unclear about the designation of the overall continuity/universe. Are we simply talking about category tags here, or something else? From a metafictional, rather than organisational, point of view I've always preferred (somewhat controversially) to have a more conservative view of G1 than the "everything but the movie" approach favoured here. In my view, broad issues of toy-accurate altmodes and basic storyline-premise/character mythology are pretty important, which is why I've always argued that the IDWverse and the MovieVerse are each different enough to all prior versions of G1 (even if they're not ''equally'' dissimilar) that they should '''both''' be considered to fall within ''or'' without the G1 continuity family. And, in developments since I originally aired this opinion, I'd say the same now goes for ''Transformers Animated'', which is also evidently a deeply G1-ish universe.

Indeed, now that we've got Animated in the mix, I'd argue that it's become even ''less'' defensible that the IDWverse is being categorised here as part of G1 when these other two aren't. Although it takes some cues from the MovieVerse, granted, I think it's a pretty hard sell to deem Animated as being ''all that much more'' radically different from G1 than the IDWverse, given that both use almost exclusively G1 characters with non-G1-toy accurate designs and drastically different basic storyline premises, human characters and background mythos. Apart from a debatable organisational imperative to avoid splitting articles, I increasingly fail to see a reasonable rational for lumping IDW in with G1 when Animated and Movie are not.

But I digress. As far as ''Shattered Glass'' ' category is concerned, I think it should be regarded as a separate [[continuity]] but probably not belonging to a separate [[continuity family]], ''at least until we know more''.

Also, aren't we jumping the gun a bit with the Timelines categorisation? Sure, it's extremely probable that it'll get that designation, but shouldn't we wait until this is official?

'''Technorganic''' describes the melding of technological and biological components into a single entity, fused at the cellular level, and generally involving the power of the [[Oracle]].

A technorganic Transformer is no longer a purely technological robot, nor an organic life form. In the words of technorganic guru [[Optimus Primal]], they are "both, and neither"{{m-}}a balance of organic and mechanical, combining the strengths of both.

==Technorganic biology==
Technorganic Transformers appear to be highly resistant to injury with highly-advanced internal healing abilities. {{storylink|Survivor}}

Technorganic Cybertronians do not have on-board computers to handle secondary operations as previous Transformers did; functions such as transforming now require conscious thought and effort. They still retain the ability to transform between two forms, but their transforming is not a mechanical shifting of moving parts, as with their robotic predecessors. For most, it appears more like fluid shape-shifting, generally accompanied by a burst of bright energy. [[Botanica]] is an exception to this rule; her transformation is accompanied by a rapidly generated circle of technorganic plants, which shrink back down to reveal her robot mode.

Because the process is so different, many Transformers need to re-learn how to transform once they find themselves in a technorganic body. They must achieve an internal, zen-like mental balance, or "still point" as Optimus refers to it, and will themselves into their other mode. Some use a mantra such as "I am transformed" to help until they get the hang of doing it on their own; others such as [[Silverbolt (BW)|Silverbolt]], Botanica and [[Nightscream (BM)|Nightscream]] seem to master the process right away. If this state of mental balance is lost, a technorganic Transformer in robot mode may revert to their beast mode.

==Powers and weaknesses==
Techorganic Transformers are invisible to traditional scanners while in beast mode; they no longer give off an "energy signature" like ordinary machines. However, when in their robot mode, they are as readily detectable as any other Transformer.

Optimus Primal's band of technorganic Maximals possessed powerful (almost supernatural) combat abilities. All technorganics would have similar capabilities. {{storylink|Wreckers: Finale Part II}}

Though powerful and durable, the technorganics are not invulnerable. Sufficient conventional firepower can render them unconscious {{storylink|Mercenary Pursuits}} or even physically damage them, and they are vulnerable to the same sort of [[Spark extractor]]s which [[Megatron (BW)|Megatron]] used on conventional Transformers.

On one occasion, ingesting a seemingly organic fruit caused Primal and his team to mentally devolve into primitives. When the tree that generated this fruit was slashed by [[Cheetor (BW)|Cheetor]], it shattered into fragments, as if it were a digital illusion, and the fruit's effect was immediately undone. Primal concludes that the fruit's organic nature was devolving their bodies, but the implications of the incident remain somewhat unclear. {{storylink|Forbidden Fruit}}

Another vulnerability comes from the [[Key to Vector Sigma]], a device which converts organics into "techno-matter". When applied to the technorganic Maximals, it caused them to convert to a metalized state, resulting pain and hysteria; it could eventually have resulted in deactivation if its effects were not reverted. {{storylink|The Key}}

==Technorganic Cybertron==
Cybertron had long been a planet of metal upon metal, "technology" alone. According to Primal's interpretation of the Oracle, the returning Beast Warriors brought with them organic components of the planets they had visited, allowing the Oracle to begin the process of reformatting the planet to be technorganic. The Maximals eventually discovered Cybertron's organic core, with deep sublevels comprised of soil and containing organic fossils, such as the one scanned by [[Nightscream]].

At the end of the conflict, Cybertron was reformatted planet-wide, creating a new [[Earth]]-like world, a mix of technorganic flora and fauna, oceans (presumably full of [[water]]), and vast cities of varying construction; some largely technorganic in nature {{storylink|Abduction}}, others retaining more "traditional" inorganic metal or stonework construction, depending on the part of the planet. {{storylink|Wreckers: Finale Part II}}

Just what the reformatting of Cybertron implies for [[Primus]], whose body ''is'' Cybertron, is unknown.

==Usage problems==

"Technorganic" has occasionally been used by other sources to describe pre-''Beast Machines'' characters. IDW's ''[[Beast Wars Sourcebook]]'' makes frequent references to characters possessing features like "technorganic musculature"; the [[Transformers: The Ultimate Guide|Ultimate Guide]] refers both to [[Optimus Primal]]'s beast mode and all [[Transmetal]]s as "techno-organic" (with hyphen).

This use of the phrase differs from the specific meaning given by ''Beast Machines''; it may or may not be an accurate descriptor, given the conflicting descriptions of ''Beast Wars'' physiology:

* A major part of the entire premise of ''Beast Wars'' was that, in order to create their beast altmodes in the first place, the Cybertronians needed to scan and replicate the DNA of living or fossilized creatures.

* Instances of damage to beast mode tissue were sometimes shown to bleed ("[[Spider's Game]]"); yet, Cheetor states that "I don't have real blood—just mech fluid." ("[[The Web]]")

* The Beast Warriors did need to breathe to sustain themselves. ("[[Dark Voyage]]")

* They often consumed organic food as fuel. ("[[Power Surge]]", "[[The Low Road]]", "[[Code of Hero]]", "[[Victory (Beast Wars episode)|Victory]]")

* Despite this, Cheetor explicitly states that they no longer eat food in the ''Beast Machines'' period, instead powering up on [[Energon]] alone. Confusing the matter further, Primal then says in reply that "we ''used'' to" only consume [[Energon]], which clearly is not the case. ("[[Forbidden Fruit]]")

Shouldn't this be at "Autorooper"? That's the name on the box, and it's not really as if "Autrooper" is objectively better. "Autrooper" doesn't complete the "auto" part, and "Autorooper" relies on a mispelling of "trooper", so I'd say they're about equal, if not the fact that Autorooper is the one on the box. Personally, I think the "Autrooper" version makes the pun work vastly better in English, since the "-orooper" pretty much kills any possibility of intuitively making "trooper" out of the word.
