Primarily used for recon and surveillance due to her aerial [[alternate mode]], '''Airazor''' (sometimes formerly '''Wing Saber''') is a great asset to the Maximal cause. She's calm and confident, but also adventurous and brave, with a healthy supply of dry humor. Her aerial skill in either mode, incredibly sharp eyesight and steady aim make her a dangerous opponent.

Due to the circumstances of her "birth", she sees [[Rhinox (BW)|Rhinox]] as something of an uncle-figure and [[Cheetor (BW)|Cheetor]] as the sibling she never had. She devotes most of her efforts, however, to taming the wild yet gentle [[Tigatron]]. She shares his love for the beautiful planet on which the Maximals are stranded, and it is on this planet where their destiny will be forever intertwined.

Airazor was an "aerial reconnaissance expert" who could spot Predacon activity from 30,000 feet above. With her internal radar transmitters, Airazor could relay information to her Maximal comrades, including 3D "virtual reality maps" that pinpointed enemy locations. In terms of offense, she possessed [[cyberblade]]s and a [[photon cannon]]. Her [[stasis pod]] damaged upon crashing to [[Earth]], Airazor was able to come online due to the genius of [[Rhinox (BW)|Rhinox]] and the bravery of [[Cheetor (BW)|Cheetor]]. Rhinox deftly operated the stasis pod's controls and Cheetor offered up his [[locking chip]] to repair it. Immediately out of the pod, she outmaneuvered and destroyed [[Terrorsaur (BW)|Terrorsaur]]. Her aerial [[beast mode]], at the time, made her the only Maximal other than [[Optimus Primal (BW)/Beast Wars cartoon continuity|Optimus]] who could fly. {{storylink|The Spark}}

She and Tigatron started to team up more frequently, a prospect Airazor seemed to welcome, but Tigatron preferred to work alone. Their first big adventure together came when a flying island paradise was discovered. The island, however, was covered in booby-traps which were triggered by the use of energy weapons. Airazor rescued Tigatron when he was ambushed by Predacons on the island, but she was damaged badly. {{storylink|The Trigger, Part 1}} Tigatron carried her on his back, refusing to leave her behind, and the pair worked together to avoid and overcome the island's traps. The island was ultimately destroyed, much to the sadness and outrage of Tigatron, and he would have secluded himself from the other Maximals further if not for Airazor's concern. {{storylink|The Trigger, Part 2}}

Soon after, the Predacons beat Tigatron to another stasis pod, reprogramming it and unleashing [[Inferno (BW)|Inferno]]. Airazor and Tigatron took turns helping each other, but once again, Tigatron insisted that he work alone. Airazor commented that sometimes you can be too alone. She was right, because after he tracked down [[Tarantulas (BW)|Tarantulas]] and destroyed the stasis pod, Tigatron got shot up a lot. Nearing death, Tigatron was saved by the arrival of Airazor and Optimus Primal. {{storylink|Spider's Game}}

During a Predacon attack on the ''[[Axalon (BW)|Axalon]]'', Airazor saved Optimus from plunging to his doom, but was herself so badly damaged she had to spend several days in the [[CR chamber]]. She emerged to find that the other Maximals had succumbed to their beast instincts through having to stay in beast mode constantly, as a result of the Predacons stealing the ship's [[rectifier coil]]. While Tigatron helped the Maximals, Airazor was able to infiltrate the largely deserted Predacon base and retrieve the rectifier coil. {{storylink|Call of the Wild}}

After the Maximals were expelled from their base by the Predacons, aided by a [[Starscream (G1)|Starscream]]-possessed [[Waspinator (BW)|Waspinator]], Airazor alerted Tigatron to the situation. The pair joined in a ploy to retake their base, which involved an assault on the ''[[Darksyde (BW)|Darksyde]]'' under Starscream's leadership. {{storylink|Possession}} Airazor was part of the reinforcements provided when [[Rattrap (BW)|Rattrap]] and [[Dinobot (BW)|Dinobot]] were trying to find a cure for the [[energon discharge virus]] Rhinox was afflicted with. After the realization that the aliens who seeded their planet with traps and energon were returning to destroy it, the Maximals and Predacons entered a truce. Optimus Primal used Airazor to try to sneak Rattrap into the Predacon base to find out what [[Megatron (BW)/Beast Wars cartoon continuity|Megatron]] was up to, but Megatron, of course, found them on his scanners and politely asked them to leave. The aliens arrived and a new [[Bio-Dome|alien structure]] was built, trapping Airazor, who was tortured. Optimus Primal forced his way inside, with the help of the Predacons, and traded himself to the aliens for Airazor. Rattrap dragged her from the structure, only for them to find themselves at gunpoint — the truce was over. The pair were able to use the activation of the structure's "termination sequence" to deal with the Predacons, before fleeing with the escaping Optimus. {{storylink|Other Voices, Part 1}} As one of the planet's moons was revealed as an [[Planet Buster|alien weapon]], the Maximals retreated to their base. Airazor and Tigatron escaped [[Transmetal]]ization by the [[quantum surge]]. They attempted to stop Blackarachnia escaping, but were both knocked offline by Megatron. {{storylink|Aftermath}} After repairs, the duo left together to find the rest of the missing stasis pods scattered across the planet. {{storylink|Coming of the Fuzors (Part 1)}} While on their search, the two Maximals discovered not only a remarkably beautiful valley, but a strange plant. As the two looked into each other's eyes and held hands in quiet celebration, the plant transformed into another [[Vok]] device, and as they clasped hands, declaring their love to exist beyond the throes of death, the two were absorbed and shot into space. Airazor and Tigatron were kept in a form of stasis until near the end of the [[Beast Wars (event)|Beast Wars]], when they were merged into the powerful being [[Tigerhawk]]. Tigerhawk returned to Earth as the emissary of the Vok to stop the deterioration that the Beast Wars were causing to the timestream, his first act being to destroy the [[Darksyde (BW)|Darksyde]], sending the Predacons scrambling. Tarantulas managed to capture Tigerhawk and removed the Vok's influence from his frame (and absorbed it into himself), letting Airazor and Tigatron's [[spark]]s inhabit Tigerhawk's body. Tigatron's voice was dominant, but Tigerhawk's personality and mannerisms were an amalgam of Tigatron and Airazor's. {{storylink|Other Victories}}

Somewhere near the end of the first year of the Beast Wars, before the Planet Buster ignited the planet's energon, Airazor, Rhinox, and Cheetor overheard a battle between [[Fractyl]] and [[Packrat]]. Airazor ended up having to rescue Cheetor, who had darted off ahead of them and gotten blasted. After the battle was resolved, she and the other Maximals fled, pretending to be beaten by the timid Fractyl to increase his standing in Megatron's eyes. {{storylink|Ground Zero}}

After the Beast Wars were over, [[Tarantulas (BW)|Tarantulas]], presumed destroyed, existed in a new, undead form that was fueled by his new Vok powers. The remaining Vok assembled warriors to end this threat, creating [[Primal Prime]] and giving new [[Transmetal]] bodies to the extant Sparks of Airazor and Tigatron. {{storylink|Primeval Dawn Part 1}} {{storylink|Primeval Dawn II}}

After awakening a stranded stasis pod containing [[Ramulus]], opening a second pod triggered an ambush by [[Spittor (BW)|Spittor]], [[Iguanus (BW)|Iguanus]], [[Razorclaw (BW)|Razorclaw]], and a reborn Transmetal 2 [[Ravage (G1)|Ravage]]. Airazor immediately saved Tigatron's life, knocking Spittor aside before Tigatron would have unwittingly come in contact with Spittor's body, covered entirely in [[cyber venom]]. The battle ended catastrophically, and Ramulus, Airazor, and Tigatron were forced to carry a critically-wounded Primal Prime back to the ''[[Ark (G1)|Ark]]'' after Tarantulas ripped the [[Matrix of Leadership]] from his chest. As Airazor and Tigatron conferred with the seemingly absent Vok, Airazor experienced great pains due to her battle wounds. In one splinter timeline of [[Primax 496.22 Alpha]], [[Silverbolt (Fuzor)|Silverbolt]]'s stasis pod landed far from the ''Axalon'', and without the aid of Silverbolt, Megatron slaughtered the Maximals. Left as the sole survivors, Tigatron and Airazor were then abducted by the Vok and then dispatched as Tigerhawk to end Megatron's machinations which threatened the Vok. Tigerhawk slew Megatron, but in the ensuing [[timestorm]] destroyed the universe anyway. Subsequently, [[Unicron]] abducted Tigerhawk to become one of his [[Minion of Unicron (Universe)|Minion]] generals. At the tail-end of the Great War, both [[Optimus Prime (G1)|Optimus Prime]] and [[Galvatron (G1)|Galvatron]] met their demise on the battlefield. In response, the [[Primal Council]] sought to broker peace negotiations with their enemies, enlisting Tigatron to this end. The 'bot who would one day call herself "Airazor" was one of the many soldiers tasked with guarding the Autobot peace officer as he headed into enemy camps on his mission.

Unfortunately, the first camp the group made contact with was headed by a renegade soldier going by the name "[[Megatron (BW)/Beast Wars cartoon continuity|Megatron]]". Rejecting the talk of peace outright, Megatron unleashed [[Predaking (G1)|Predaking]] onto his visitors, along with the other units under his command. "Airazor" was accosted by [[Waspinator (BW)|two]] [[Terrorsaur (BW)|fliers]], though she quickly defeated them both before rescuing Tigatron from Predaking. As the rest of the Autobots with them were slain, Tigatron argued with his rescuer over which one of them should head off to warn the Council of Megatron's incoming attack. Convincing him that she didn't need rescuing herself, and promising that she'd see him again someday, "Airazor" sent Tigatron on his way. But she stood little chance against Predaking by herself, and soon found herself in the giant's grip. Before Predaking could finish her off, [[transmatter]] started raining down on the battlefield, converting whoever it touched into a protoform. "Airazor" was one of the many affected by the transmatter, though her form was retrieved and safely stored within a stasis pod after hostilities had ended between Autobots and Decepticons. {{storylink|Dawn of the Predacus}}

Her name was Wing Saber. A routine reconnaissance mission went awry when Wing Saber was captured by the Predacon torturer, [[Steelgrave]]. Despite his array of fiendish devices and Bond-villain mentality, Wing Saber was able to elude Steelgrave and fight her way through his henchmen before retreating to her cloaked starship, the ''[[Chromia 10]]''. Although she escaped, Wing Saber bore the physical and mental scars from her encounter with Steelgrave for some time.

Later, she was assigned to rendezvous with a pair of Maximals named [[Crossblades (BW)|Crossblades]] and [[Stiletto (BW)|Stiletto]] for a new mission. In violation of the [[Pax Cybertronia]], a group of Predacons had been rampaging through the [[J'kozian sector]] and set up a troop manufacturing factory on the conquered world of [[Nibari]]. Holographically posing as barmaids, the trio inebriated most of Steelgrave's troops into stasis lock before proceeding into the factory. Their infiltration was cut short by a raid on the factory by the native Nibari population, led by [[Ritash]]. Wing Saber's group was forced to divert their mission in order to keep the organics from being completely slaughtered. They were actually doing well...at least, until the true leader of Steelgrave's Predacons made his presence known... '''[[Megatron (G1)|Megatron]]'''!

Wing Saber's crew evacuated with all due haste, taking Ritash of the Nibari with them. A reassessment of the situation was clearly called for. After a review of the history records, Wing Saber decided that the frequent quotations of "No Known Weaknesses" overlooked Megatron's infamous arrogance, and THAT was what they needed to exploit. The crew of the ''Chromia 10'' challenged Megatron to combat in full view of his subordinates, forcing him to agree in order to save face. During the ritualized combat, Crossblades noticed that the Mighty Megatron was nowhere near as invulnerable as history records indicated. Sensing a ruse, the Maximals concentrated their firepower and revealed "Megatron" was little more than an exo-suit run by his ex-lieutenant, [[Flamewar (G1)|Flamewar]]. With Flamewar revealed, and the drone troopers brought under the control of Ritash and his rebels, Nibari was well on its way to being freed.{{storylink|The Razor's Edge}}

Later, the Predacons who stole the [[Golden Disk (Voyager)|Golden Disk]] on Cybertron were being pursued by [[Tigatron|Unit 2]], who was granted clearance from the [[Maximal Defense Command Center]] to commandeer transport. Wing Saber was boarding the ''Chromia 10'', when Unit 2 approached and demanded use of it. Wing Saber at first refused, but suggested she was open to... persuasion. The call of adventure captured her interest, and instead of handing over the ''Chromia 10'' to Unit 2, she allowed him to hitch a ride, piloting it herself.

The ''Chromia 10'' intercepted the Predacons' ship, the ''[[Darksyde (BW)|Darksyde]]'', which was engaged in battle with the ''[[Axalon (BW)|Axalon]]'' and guarded by a [[Buzzsaw and Laserbeak's ship|mysterious third ship]]. During the ensuing firefight, the ''Chromia 10'' was badly damaged. [[Optimus Primal (BW)|Optimus Primal]] had Wing Saber and Unit 2's [[spark]]s remotely [[Spark core transfer|uploaded]] to [[blank]] [[protoform]]s in the Axalon's cargo hold, which saved their lives, but severely damaged their core mainframes. {{storylink|Dawn of Future's Past}}

Following the [[Quantum surge]], Airazor became a [[Transmetal]]. However, she was separated from the rest of the [[Maximal]]s and was locked outside of their base during [[Quickstrike (BW)|Quickstrike]]'s counterattack. As she flew in, [[Sentinel (BW)|Sentinel]]'s defenses began to fire at her. [[Rhinox (BW)|Rhinox]] attempted to shut Sentinel down, only to be stopped by [[Rattrap (BW)|Rattrap]], who warned him that Sentinel was the only thing protecting them from Quickstrike's [[Cobra Corps]] and [[Scorpion Corps]]. Rhinox brushed him aside and shut Sentinel down, anyway. Airazor, who had been shot by Sentinel, swooped in for a crash-landing. Rattrap, feeling somewhat guilty, dove to soften her landing. Not long after this, [[Blackarachnia (BW)|Blackarachnia]] breached their defenses and took out both Rattrap and Airazor without effort. Rhinox saved her some time and appeared to shoot himself in the head. Feeling her job was done, Blackarachnia left as Quickstrike destroyed their base.

From a small section of the base that had been protected by a forcefield, Airazor aided Rattrap and Rhinox in pulling [[Optimus Primal (BW)|Optimus Primal]]'s [[spark]] from [[unspace|transwarp space]]. As Rhinox brought his spark out from oblivion, Rattrap funneled it through a ray device while Airazor positioned a reflective dish. Primal's spark bounced off the dish and connected with his body (which was being held by [[Megatron (BW)|Megatron]] at his base, the ''[[Hindenburg]]''), resurrecting him as a Transmetal. Airazor, still injured from before, began to plummet to the ground. Primal rescued her, destroyed Megatron's drone army, and carried her off on his flying surfboard. Airazor next accompanied Rattrap and Optimus in investigating the remains of the ''Axalon''. She was attacked by [[Rampage (BW)|Rampage]], but escaped. Following Primal's orders, she and Rattrap used the ''Axalon''<nowiki>'</nowiki>s weapons to ignite undersea volcanoes that blasted Rampage into the sky. {{storylink|Beast Wars Metals issue 2|Beast Wars Metals #2}}

Later, she decided to search for Tigatron on her own. {{storylink|Beast Wars Metals issue 3|Beast Wars Metals #3}} She soon found him, but his mind had been taken over by Tarantulas. She linked her mind with Tigatron's and, after defeating Tarantulas in cyberspace, was able to free Tigatron's consciousness. Unfortunately, she wasn't quite fast enough, and Tigatron's mind-controlled body delivered a fatal blow that killed her. Tigatron eventually committed ritual suicide over what he'd done, only to be revived by the energies of the sparks released by the obliterated Rampage. Airazor was also among the revived, but as a mindless zombie. {{storylink|Beast Wars Metals issue 5|Beast Wars Metals #5}} She did battle with Tigatron, who did not want to fight the robot he loved. With no other option, Tigatron gave the evil Airazor one of his katana and knelt down. As the zombie-Airazor struck him with the [[sword]], Airazor's spark entered Tigatron's body. When [[human]] archaeologists uncovered a cave filled with primitive language, [[Mini-Con]] [[Laserbeak (Armada)|Laserbeak]] translated it for them. The markings told of a time when the Maximals and Predacons crash-landed on prehistoric Earth, though the stranded Transformers were seen by the protohumans as gods. When one of the archeologists, [[Jessica Theist]], later touched one of the markings, she was bestowed a vision of the Maximals' and Predacons' battles. Airazor, sporting a purely Cybertronian form, became a resident of [[Axiom Nexus]] at an unknown point in time and the timelines. She joined the offworlders' [[Freelance Police Legion]] and also forged ties with their parallel organization, the [[Axiom Nexus Security Administration]] run by the planet's native Cybertronians, the [[Transcendent Technomorph]]s. Airazor eventually received authorization as an inspector in the Security Administration, giving her the rare (if not ''unique'') status as an officer for BOTH police forces in Axiom Nexus. Despite her official status, Airazor still enjoyed her vices, and was a frequent customer of the [[Widow's Cafe Cybertronian]] at the edge of the [[Heap]].

Airazor was involved in the first detaining of [[Jackpot (G1)|Jackpot]] and [[Hubcap (G1)|Hubcap]], after the assassination of [[Gutcruncher (G1)|Gutcruncher]] sent Axiom Nexus into chaos. She and [[Stungun (TransTech)|Stungun]] stood guard over the duo while awaiting [[Cheetor (TransTech)|Commander Cheetor]]'s arrival. As is often the case with femmes, she had absolutely no tolerance for Jackpot's sweet-talk. Upon his arrival, Cheetor dismissed Airazor to keep an eye on three "[[Transcendent|units of interest]]" who had recently come through Processing Central. He casually suggested she recruit some Freelancers as well to keep the surveillance less official, since it was technically out of their jurisdiction. Her departure served a double purpose, leaving a viable exit for the lowtech Autobots to flee and draw out the ''real'' assassin for the Security Administration. Once [[Black Shadow (G1)|Black Shadow]] and his shell were deactivated, Airazor swooped in and took Jackpot into custody again immediately. Despite his claims of having found a real connection, she was thrilled when Commander Cheetor expedited his deportation to [[Primax 207.0 Epsilon|a universe]] similar to his home universe. {{storylink|Gone Too Far}}

Shortly after her promotion to Inspector Airazor, the Maximal had occasion to drop in on her old friend [[Crystal Widow]] at the Widow's Cafe. It was hardly a social call, however, as Security Administration had been requisitioned by [[Demolishor (TransTech)|General Demolishor]] of the [[Military Police]] to conduct a serious investigation into some courier murders and the theft of unauthorized TransTech technology. One of Crystal Widow's regulars, [[Escargon]], had been pegged for the matter. Airazor tried to execute a quiet arrest, but General Demolishor's attention span and flair for the dramatic turned it into a decidedly UNquiet raid of the premises. Demolishor also executed Escargon on the spot while Airazor was attempting to gain control of the suspect.

In his zeal, however, General Demolishor hadn't thought to check if Escargon had the stolen property before shooting him. Sure enough, a thorough search by Inspector Airazor appeared to turn up no traces of the property on his person. Dejected, General Demolishor turned his frustrations on the clientele, particular several "mechanoids of interest" called [[G1 GoBots|GoBots]] who had arrived around the same time as Escargon. With some fast legalese, Airazor managed to talk Demolishor out of doing further damage to the bar or Crystal Widow's customers. After the good general departed, Airazor explained the seriousness of the situation — Escargon had stolen a set of [[transit pass]]es, official letters for TransTech black ops work that allowed unmolested access to any transwarp platform facility. Literally a "Get Out of Axiom Nexus Free" Card.

General Demolishor was not so easily deterred, though, and soon wound up battling Crystal Widow and the GoBots in the [[Heap]] until Airazor and Commander Cheetor arrived with the Security Administration. The general was quickly deflated when Cheetor told him he had informed [[Megatron (TransTech)|Commander Megatron]] personally about the issuance of these ''unauthorized'' transit passes, and the fact that Demolishor had lost them. Because the Heap was outside of Security Administration jurisdiction, the collar officially went to Airazor as a representative of the Freelance Police Legion.

As Demolishor was being led away, Commander Cheetor requested a private word with Inspector Airazor. In no uncertain terms, he ''very loudly'' did not say he knew she had swiped the passes while frisking Escargon, and did not tell her to make sure the passes were handed over to the GoBots. When battling [[combiner]]s from [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]] briefly touched upon the planet, Airazor and Tigatron witnessed [[Optimus Maximus (G1)|Optimus Maximus]] battling against [[Devastator (G1)|Devastator]]. {{storylink|Windblade vol. 2 issue 6|Windblade vol. 2 #6}} They later investigated the huge footprints the combiners left behind. Tigatron wanted to report their discovery to the others, while Airazor disagreed. {{storylink|All That Remains}} They eventually sought out the advice of the seer Blackarachnia, who foresaw the reappearance of true Cybertronians on their planet. A week later, Airazor was present when the leaders of Eukaris's tribes convened outside the space bridge, although Dinobot didn't take kindly to the "tribe of two." The tension was quickly defused when Rattrap sneaked through the space bridge and onto the planet, only to receive a less-than-warm welcome from Dinobot.

A month later, Airazor was present when the first real representatives from Cybertron arrived - [[Windblade (G1)|Windblade]] and Starscream. Before negotiations could get underway, Chela awoke and burst from the ground, intending to destroy all Cybertronian intruders. After Chela was killed by Starscream, the citizens of Eukaris agreed to join the nascent [[Council of Worlds]]. Things turned sour following the death of [[Drunkatron|an inebriated Decepticon]] which most chalked up to police brutality. Airazor and Obsidian observed an angry mob advancing on Starscream's office, as the two commiserated over their dismay with the fractured Cybertron. The Council later met with Optimus to hear his side of the story. Airazor was present during Earth's induction ceremony into the [[Council of Worlds]] when [[M.A.S.K.]] and [[G.I. Joe (team)|G.I. Following the invasion, Windblade was due to retake her position on the Council only to learn that Liege Maximo's freedom was still being kept under wraps prompting her to inform Circuit and Longtooth of it which resulted in public elections. When the [[Vehicon (BM)|Vehicon]] threat arose and consumed Nuon, however, Airazor advocated abandoning neutrality and entering the war against the Builders. She frequently clashed with the pacifist [[Santon]], comparing him to a [[wormozoid ]]. When the Council received an audience by First Resistor [[Cheetor (BW)|Cheetor]] and [[Preditron]] to hear first hand about the Vehicons, the vote soon swayed in Airazor's favor, and the Maximal Nation went to war.

Airazor's gender in the [[Hasbro]] line is due to ''Beast Wars'' story editors [[Bob Forward]] and [[Larry DiTillio]]'s insistence. The original Airazor toy wasn't developed with a specific gender in mind, and Bob & Larry wanted a larger female presence in the show, and the Airazor toy seemed as good a choice as any. They requested the change early enough that the toy's packaging bio could have its pronouns changed to female. The later Transmetal version of Airazor was the first American-released Transformer mold created to represent a female character.

In the Japanese dub of ''Beast Wars'', Airazor was made male. The exact reason for this has never been made known; it could have been for the sake of sales (girl characters are believed to sell poorly in boys toylines) or [[TakaraTomy|Takara]] could have simply been working from outdated material provided by Hasbro in which Airazor was still regarded as male. We may never know.

Initially, the dub skirted around any possibility of romance between Airazor and Tigatron, altering all flirtatious dialogue to change the intent (Tigatron's line in "[[The Trigger, Part 2]]" about how "the lady shall ride a tiger" was rewritten to a more generic command for them to get moving). To explain the closeness of their relationship, Tigatron was humorously portrayed as a "samurai retainer" and Airazor acted as his "ward"; intimating a "brotherly" sort of bond.

Things remained as such all the way until "[[Other Visits (Part 1)]]" when the scripting and animation could no longer allow for any vagaries regarding their relationship. Beginning rather randomly in that episode, Airazor flirtatiously starts calling Tigatron by the nickname "Ti-chan", leaving Tigatron to get flustered and anxiously call for him to stop. When the pair are attacked, they both express their love for one another in dialogue primarily unchanged from the English version. Their romantic attraction was a very spontaneous change in the Japanese version of the series and Japanese magazine editors, responding to letters from confused young fans, gently explained the situation. This was due to the fact that Airazor's [[Transmetal]] toy had an indisputably feminine build. Additionally, there was never a manga for the original ''Beast Wars'' cartoon in Japan, so the backstory for ''Metals'' could be whatever writer/artist [[Shōji Imaki]] wanted it to be (the manga has numerous irreconcilable divergences from the show's events right out of the gate). Airazor is presented as a stereotypically "girly" ingenue more deeply devoted to Tigatron, as compared to her English cartoon persona and design.

The ''[[Transformers Legends (comic)|Transformers Legends]]'' manga would poke "fun" at Airazor's gender bending from time to time. Airazor is portrayed as looking highly feminine and cute, however, it is revealed to the confusion of the cast that "she" is male. The same "joke" is extended onto [[Nightscream (BM)|Nightscream]], who was portrayed as a flamboyant homosexual in the dub of ''[[Beast Machines: Transformers (cartoon)#Japanese release|Beast Machines]]'', and is seen as a cross-dresser in the ''Legends'' manga. This is apparently supposed to be "funny".

==Synopsis==
Two Maximals, [[Nitrostreak|Unit 1]] and [[Tigatron|Unit 2]], are in pursuit of several Predacon criminals. Asking for details from the [[Maximal Defense Command Center]], Unit 2 is informed that the intruder's most likely objective is to steal the [[Golden Disk (Voyager)|Golden Disk]]; what exactly the Golden Disk is remains need-to-know information. The two are ordered to bring the criminals back alive; Unit 1 objects, but is suddenly blasted, knocking out his [[transformation cog]]. Unit 2 transforms into robot mode, checking up on his partner, before taking off after the Predacons.

Nearby, [[Megatron (BW)|Megatron]] holds the Golden Disk with anticipation, and orders for his crew to withdrawl. His [[Dinobot (BW)|lieutenant]], who has been blasting at the pursuing Maximals with his eye beams, objects, feeling there is no honor in what he perceives as cowardice. Megatron grabs him and raises him to his eye level, telling him to never use the word honor again. Letting go, his lieutenant questions him what he plans to do, but Megatron pushes him along, not having the time to explain his plan in detail. Meanwhile, in a chamber beneath [[Cybertropolis]], a [[Divebomb (G1)|mysterious benefactor]], pleased with Megatron’s results, calls in two of his agents, [[Laserbeak (G1)|Laserbeak]] and [[Buzzsaw (G1)|Buzzsaw]]. He informs them he has procured a [[Darksyde (BW)|ship]] for Megatron’s crew, and that they are to ensure he reaches his destination, without being noticed by any Maximals. Back on the surface, Megatron radios the rest of his crew, telling them to hurry with their ship, and as one of the [[Waspinator (BW)|troops]] radios back, the massive warship they have stolen, now called the ''Darksyde'', brings them on board. Arriving too late to stop them from taking off, Unit 2 is authorized to commandeer a ship to chase them. Driving up to the ''[[Chromia 10]]'', it’s [[Airazor (BW)|pilot]] is resistant at first, but when she’s informed that he needs it for a chase, she allows him on board, telling him to get ready for a ride.

At the Maximal Defense Command Center, a status report is being compiled. The [[Tripredacus Council]] denies any involvement, and have been trying to capture him themselves for some time, which for once, seems to be the truth. The ship Megatron and his crew have stolen is equipped with a [[transwarp]] drive, and the only ship available with a transwarp drive and able to track them is the ''[[Axalon (BW)|Axalon]]''. The ship is currently being loaded up by its crew on a space station, [[Rattrap (BW)|one]] of whom is upset with the constant monotony of their mission, while [[Optimus Primal (BW)|Optimus Primal]] tends to one last piece of very special [[Rampage (BW)|cargo]]. While Laserbeak and Buzzsaw inform their commander they are in position, the ''Axalon'' leaves the space station. Primal informs his crew that the Maximal Council contacted them to rid themselves of cargo on a barren moon in the [[Alpha Quadrant]] before returning to their mission. The unhappy crew member objects even more, but before Primal can explain the cargo’s significance, another [[Cheetor (BW)|crew member]] informs Optimus that they have an incoming audio-only transmission from Maximal Command. Bringing it up, Command informs them that they are assigned to intercept the ''Darksyde'' and retrieve the Golden Disk, and that this takes priority even over their mission to the Alpha Quadrant. But before they can, Laserbeak and Buzzsaw begin an assault on the Maximal ship, knocking out their engines, locking their energon flow system, and causing their shields to lose power. Before the two former Decepticons can complete their attack, however, the ''Chromia 10'' swoops in, attacking the two Predacons while the ''Axalon’s'' crew attempt to get its engines back on. ==Synopsis==
Two Maximals, [[Nitrostreak|Unit 1]] and [[Tigatron|Unit 2]], are in pursuit of several Predacon criminals. Asking for details from the [[Maximal Defense Command Center]], Unit 2 is informed that the intruder's most likely objective is to steal the [[Golden Disk (Voyager)|Golden Disk]]; what exactly the Golden Disk is remains need-to-know information. The two are ordered to bring the criminals back alive; Unit 1 objects, but is suddenly blasted, knocking out his [[transformation cog]]. Unit 2 transforms into robot mode, checking up on his partner, before taking off after the Predacons.

Nearby, [[Megatron (BW)|Megatron]] holds the Golden Disk with anticipation, and orders for his crew to withdrawl. His [[Dinobot (BW)|lieutenant]], who has been blasting at the pursuing Maximals with his eye beams, objects, feeling there is no honor in what he perceives as cowardice. Megatron grabs him and raises him to his eye level, telling him to never use the word honor again. Letting go, his lieutenant questions him what he plans to do, but Megatron pushes him along, not having the time to explain his plan in detail. Meanwhile, in a chamber beneath [[Cybertropolis]], a [[Divebomb (G1)|mysterious benefactor]], pleased with Megatron’s results, calls in two of his agents, [[Laserbeak (G1)|Laserbeak]] and [[Buzzsaw (G1)|Buzzsaw]]. He informs them he has procured a [[Darksyde (BW)|ship]] for Megatron’s crew, and that they are to ensure he reaches his destination, without being noticed by any Maximals. Back on the surface, Megatron radios the rest of his crew, telling them to hurry with their ship, and as one of the [[Waspinator (BW)|troops]] radios back, the massive warship they have stolen, now called the ''Darksyde'', brings them on board. Arriving too late to stop them from taking off, Unit 2 is authorized to commandeer a ship to chase them. Driving up to the ''[[Chromia 10]]'', it’s [[Airazor (BW)|pilot]] is resistant at first, but when she’s informed that he needs it for a chase, she allows him on board, telling him to get ready for a ride.

At the Maximal Defense Command Center, a status report is being compiled. The [[Tripredacus Council]] denies any involvement, and have been trying to capture him themselves for some time, which for once, seems to be the truth. The ship Megatron and his crew have stolen is equipped with a [[transwarp]] drive, and the only ship available with a transwarp drive and able to track them is the ''[[Axalon (BW)|Axalon]]''. The ship is currently being loaded up by its crew on a space station, [[Rattrap (BW)|one]] of whom is upset with the constant monotony of their mission, while [[Optimus Primal (BW)|Optimus Primal]] tends to one last piece of very special [[Rampage (BW)|cargo]]. While Laserbeak and Buzzsaw inform their commander they are in position, the ''Axalon'' leaves the space station. Primal informs his crew that the Maximal Council contacted them to rid themselves of cargo on a barren moon in the [[Alpha Quadrant]] before returning to their mission. The unhappy crew member objects even more, but before Primal can explain the cargo’s significance, another [[Cheetor (BW)|crew member]] informs Optimus that they have an incoming audio-only transmission from Maximal Command. Bringing it up, Command informs them that they are assigned to intercept the ''Darksyde'' and retrieve the Golden Disk, and that this takes priority even over their mission to the Alpha Quadrant. I'm debating undoing the "not a Kiss Player" addition, but can't quite justify it based on the general humor tone of the rest of the wiki, so I'll leave it to someone else. I'm also tempted to change the picture caption, as I'm pretty sure those aren't sandals. (The dark orange parts of the feet appear to be the shoe uppers, rather than a differently colored part of her socks.) However, that just seems ridiculously picky somehow. When her pet robot dog, Sparkplug, stole her security key card, Sari chased it outside and was confronted by [[Bumblebee (Animated)|Bumblebee]] and [[Bulkhead (Animated)|Bulkhead]], who spoke to her as if she were Sparkplug's pet. Naturally, she freaked out, but quickly befriended Bumblebee once he saved her from a giant bug that had grown from her father's nanite experiment gone awry. Stowing away on Bumblebee and coming aboard the ''[[Ark (Animated)|Ark]]'', she came across the [[AllSpark (Animated)|AllSpark]], which infused part of its power into her security key. This allowed her to heal [[Transformer]]s, such as the injured [[Prowl (Animated)|Prowl]], earning her brownie points with the 'Bots. She also managed to talk the police down from shooting the Autobots, saying they were friendly (except [[Ratchet (Animated)|Ratchet]], who was grumpy, but not evil). Sari later helped teach the Autobots about [[Earth]] and [[human]]s, explaining their method reproduction to a ''very'' startled [[Optimus Prime (Animated)|Optimus Prime]].

During the unveiling of her father's new transit system, [[Starscream (Animated)|Starscream]] arrived and attacked. Bumblebee took a shot meant for Sari, allowing Starscream to capture him, Professor Sumdac, the Mayor, and [[Captain Fanzone]]. Sari came up with the idea to distract Starscream while she and Prowl rescued the others (even faking some tears to make it happen). Sari would go on to be Bumblebee's usual partner in crime, encouraging him to engage in such questionable activities as high-profile wrestling matches {{storylink|Total Meltdown}} and installing rocket boosters to make him go faster. {{storylink|Nanosec (episode)|Nanosec}} Sari likely hangs out with Bumblebee because she knows she can scare the holy be[[primus]] out of him. {{storylink|Along Came a Spider}}

On Sari's eighth birthday, the only other kids who turned up were the children of her dad's employees. None of them really wanted to be there and soon focused their attention on the Autobots. Sari was left alone and shunned along with Bulkhead, both morose that the kids didn't like them. Her father's present, a music robot called [[Soundwave (Animated)|Soundwave]], cheered her up, and she soon began neglecting her friendship with Bulkhead in favour of her new toy. Repeated uses of her AllSpark Key turned Soundwave into a malevolent, sentient being who tried to enslave Humanity, and she learnt she'd been wrong to ignore her friend. {{storylink|Sound and Fury}}

When the [[Decepticon]]s [[Blitzwing (Animated)|Blitzwing]] and [[Lugnut]] arrived on Earth, the two Decepticons manhandled the Autobots. Although they survived, it made apparent the fact that more would come looking for the AllSpark, so the Autobots decided to repair the ''Ark'' and leave Earth. Sari's reaction to this was displeasure (in the form of a high pitch shout of NO!). However, they needed Sari's key to assist Ratchet in repairing the ship. Sari was unwilling to help them leave, nor was she pleased to work with a grouch like Ratchet (who was not that keen on working with a [[protoform]]), but they managed to get her to the ship. While alone with the AllSpark, Sari decided to try and sabotage the ship, thereby keeping the Autobots on Earth (and dooming her species to enslavement and/or extinction) but the key repaired the damage. After that, the AllSpark showed her an image of [[Megatron (Animated)|a giant Transformer]]. In her panic, Sari opened the air lock, nearly drowning, but Ratchet saved her. Ratchet then explained that they were leaving because they couldn't risk anything happening to Earth or her. Swayed by his compassion, Sari used her key to reactivate the ''Ark''<nowiki>'</nowiki>s decommissioned weapons, reducing Blitzwing and Lugnut to pieces. {{storylink|Lost and Found (Animated episode)|Lost and Found}}

Eventually, [[Optimus Prime (Animated)|Optimus Prime]] decided that the AllSpark key was no longer safe in Sari's hands, and he ordered Ratchet to take it from her. Distraught, Sari ran off crying, only to be captured later by [[Blackarachnia (Animated)|Blackarachnia]], who was looking for the key herself. Sari basically told her "too little, too late," and the two seemed to have a heart-to-heart about their gripes with the Autobots. {{storylink|Megatron Rising - Part 1}}

While Sari was actually misleading Blackarachnia in circles around the frozen Lake Erie, she was grabbed by Ratchet as he brought the ''Ark'' out of the lake. She was ticked that Ratchet had lost her key and that her dad had helped rebuild [[Megatron (Animated)|Megatron]], but the blame game ceased after the ship crashed on [[Dinobot Island (Animated)|Dinobot Island]]. Prime told the Sumdacs to stay with the ship while they went to fight off Megatron. Fearing that they might die, Isaac Sumdac said that there was something that he needed to tell Sari, but she was more interested in finding something else the AllSpark could charge. The AllSpark refused to respond, other than cryptically displaying an image of a DNA strand. Suddenly, Megatron and Prime burst through the hull of the ''Ark'', and during their fight, the key once again fell into her hands. Sari tossed it to Optimus Prime, who used the key destroy the AllSpark and disperse its energy. Acknowledging that he had been wrong in taking from her, Optimus Prime gave the key back to Sari, saying that as the most powerful Cybertronian artifact on Earth, it was too important to be left in the hands of an Autobot.

Unfortunately, all was not well, for Sari could not find her dad...as he was now a prisoner of Megatron. {{storylink|Megatron Rising - Part 2}}

Powell]] opposed her, saying that she was too young and wasting company resources searching for her father. When the [[Cybertron Elite Guard]] arrived, Sari was cut off from the Autobots and her only source of emotional support. She soon needed them, as police drones coming out of a Sumdac assembly line began to malfunction, and Powell was unwilling to do anything about it. Sneaking aboard the [[Elite Guard ship]], Sari put the fear of [[Primus|god]] into [[Jazz (Animated)|Jazz]] before Bulkhead explained that Sari was okay (and Bumblebee explained that [[Sentinel Prime (Animated)|Sentinel Prime]] was a jerk). With Optimus, Prowl, and Jazz's help, Sari managed to get into the plant's assembly line and shut down the systems. When she returned home, she found that she had been locked out of her office, as Powell was now CEO and Chairman of Sumdac Systems. Insisting that it was still her company, Sari was shocked when Powell revealed that she had no birth certificate, no adoption papers, and no social security number. As far as I know, the only time Obsidian was referred to as a Predacon was in his bio in the Vehicons section of Transformers: The Ultimate Guide by Simon Furman. Some may find this interesting, but it should really come as no surprise. About half of the beast warriors probably have female beast modes, seeing as females usually make up approximately half of most species' populations. So far, I can positively sex the beast forms of Tigatron (female), Waspinator (female), Inferno (female), Blackarachnia (female), and Cheetor (male). I don't know about the rest though. He destroyed [[Colony Omicron]], killing all of its inhabitants save a lone security officer, [[Depth Charge (BW)|Depth Charge]], who would eventually track him down and capture him. Afterwards, the [[Maximal Elder|Maximal Elders]] had him placed into a [[stasis pod]] aboard an exploration vessel, the [[Axalon (BW)|Axalon]]. They instructed its commander, [[Optimus Primal (BW)|Optimus Primal]], to dump him on some barren world in deep space.

Rampage was in one of the several stasis pods jettisoned by Optimus when the Axalon was damaged by [[Megatron (BW)|Megatron's]] Predacons, and only fell out of orbit far into the Beast Wars. Battle near his stasis pod shocked Rampage into activation, and he promptly set out to terrorize all nearby Transformers. After Rampage was defeated, Megatron discovered him and, using a blade of pure [[Energon]], removed a portion of his indestructible spark. Megatron placed his portion of Rampage's spark in a special cage lined with Energon crystals, which allowed him to torture him whenever Megs desired, thereby forcing Rampage to swear fealty.

Later, Depth Charge arrived on prehistoric Earth with the single-minded goal of destroying Rampage. Depth Charge's loss had embittered him, and Rampage used this emotional wound to torment the Maximal. They met in battle numerous times, fairly evenly matched. While [[Megatron (BW)|Megatron]] was retrieving the submerged [[Decepticon]] craft ''[[Nemesis]]'', Depth Charge met Rampage in battle one last time. At the battle's climax, Rampage allowed Depth Charge to kill him with a shard of raw Energon, resulting in a fantastic explosion which destroyed both. Rampage won even in death, laughing maniacally in triumph as Depth Charge made the final stabbing blow.

His spark is located in his left breast, similar to a human heart.

Razorbeast was an undercover agent embedded by [[Leo Prime]] in [[Magmatron]]'s organization to discover, and if possible to foil, the general's plans. He traveled back in time to prehistoric [[Earth]] with Magmatron and his crew to retrieve the rogue [[Megatron (BW)|Megatron]]. However this was just a front to the true plan, to challenge the Maximals for control of [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]]. Magmatron needed an army, and prehistoric Earth was littered with the stasis pods that had been abandoned by the ''[[Axalon]]''. Magmatron had Razorbeast awaken these [[protoform|protoforms]] as [[Predacons]], however, Razorbeast inserted a virus into the protoform-awakening software which allowed some of them to retain their Maximal allegiance.

In the end, Razorbeast was successful in thwarting Magmatron's plans, but had no means of returning to his present-day [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]].

There are some differences, however increasingly fewer as interaction with humans has influenced Transformers culture. A human's organic tissue will begin failing just one quarter into his or her lifespan, and will spend the next three quarters growing ever less efficient until the human's lifeforce can no longer sustain itself. As a result, humans are saddeningly short-lived creatures. (It is not sure how they find the time to accomplish anything, though as a side effect it has made their wars mercifully shorter.) Interestingly, humans do not build new members of their race. To the contrary, humans are what they have deemed "sexually dimorphic," meaning one subvarient of their species will implant structural data in the other. This second subvarient will grow a new human (or occasionally more than one human, although this is rare) inside them like a parasite and release it when it is ready. The new human is very stupid and will take years to acclimate itself to their society. There is apparently much rubbing involved in the creation of the new human. They don't much like to talk about it much further, and several attempts at accumulating further information on the process have been staved off by awkward silence. This is confusing, as humans give all impressions that they supremely enjoy it, and have refused all suggestions that they learn the technology to build their own from spare parts.

Despite their lack of the multi-dimensional transwarp [[Spark]], a great number of humans believe in an analogous concept, the intangible soul. This has been confirmed to be the equivalent of a Transformer's personality program in an odd experiment, when the human [[Spike Witwicky]]'s personality was uploaded to an empty Transformer body cobbled together from spare parts. The human's consciousness was not suitable for digitization, and quickly deteriorated toward psychosis.

Many also believe in supernatural beings, either singular or plural, who have a direct but intangible stake in their lives. Once a week the more religious humans will gather together and sing songs at the ceiling, as the presumed direction of these beings is away from the gravity well of their planet. Unlike the historical [[Covenant of Primus|Covenant]] of [[Primus]], their holy books are not incorruptible encrypted public-key datatracks. Instead, they frequently re-encode the writings of multiple authors in an inefficient and apparently lossy process. Then they fight about which "translation" is correct instead of simply downloading the original encoding algorithm.

Despite having no concrete evidence these beings exist, and despite the records of the [[Beast Wars]] affirming their evolution from bipedal primates, the humans continue to assume these premises are true. This seems like a waste of spent attention, especially with such short lifespans, as no credible sources have substantiated that their alleged creator has ever transformed out of their world into a giant humanoid and fought its eternal enemy before their eyes. Many human traditions are puzzling.

The most familiar breed of humans are native to the planet Earth, though they can be found practically anywhere in the galaxy. For example, [[Nebulos]] is such a place, though some reports claim these humans are of green texture rather than various shades of beige. [[Femax]] is populated by humans of Transformer size. [[Pz-Zazz]] is also home to Transformer-sized humans, but it is not known whether they are indigenous to that world. Such outbursts are common, and they usually end with a pile of smoking rubble, and Tantrum in the middle, with a happy, smiling face, the calmest and coolest of Decepticons, for a very short while, until next time the fit takes him.

The Decepticon command, [[Megatron (G1)|in their infinite wisdom]], have augmented the swordfighting, electrostatic-discharging, and fuel-carrying abilities of this walking Internet with a catalytic rifle. You can ''tell'' '''Headstrong''' that a three-foot thick steel tank is full of dangerously radioactive waste, but it won't do a lick of good if he thinks you've hidden the [[Energon]] goodies in it. He'll attack it with his unbreakable, ramming head and acid-dripping horn until he's conclusively proven wrong, then retreat with his well-earned wounds to suck his thumb, still convinced deep in his tiny brain that somebody had tricked him.

Despite such mishaps, Headstrong still plugs away. He believes that tenacity can compensate those minor qualities in which he's lacking, such as strength, intelligence, or courage. To his credit, [[Starscream (G1)|not a few of his allies]] seem to subscribe to this philosophy, and Headstrong isn't dead yet.

Best and brightest he may not be, but he's always ready to grab his sword and start waving it around. It affects his opponent's optics, so that where they see Headstrong, that's where he ain't. It's unfortunate that his own eyesight isn't much better. A distant foe must beware Headstrong's glowing balls...plasma spheres, which explode on contact. Woe to the robot who touches Headstrong's balls!

He's a cheery sort in general, almost always in a good mood, but nothing makes him downright giddy as a child on Christmas morning as having so many targets to pick and choose from that he doesn't know where to start destroying. Just about the only thing that ever puts him in a bad mood is having to give up his independence and combine with his teammates, whom he tolerates at best, to form [[Predaking]]. In his free time, Divebomb likes to use available scrap to build himself "mechanest" fortresses at the top of the highest available point. These plush private apartments are something of a point of pride for him. "I like to live comfortably," he explains with a smile.

Every drop of fuel in his system and every thought in his processor are dedicated to the task at hand, and he often lies in wait, completely motionless, for long stretches of time. Fools confuse this for laziness.

Suspecting Megatron unstable, Shockwave contacts Razorclaw on Cybertron and enlists the aid of a mercenary-like band of Decepticons, the Predacons. Equiping them with Autobot insigna panels, he has them arrive on Earth via a Space Bridge in the Florida everglades. There, Razorclaw leads the Predacons against Megatron, who has been led to believe Optimus Prime still lived and assumed he sent the Predacon's against him thanks to the Autobot insigna. Despite the prowess of the Predacons and fighting Megatron as Predaking, Megatron still defeats the Predacons. {{storylink|Megatron's Last Stand}}

Razorclaw returns in issue #37, leading the Predacons under the flag of Ratbat, leading raids for fuel. RAAT has in their possession at the time the six Autobot Throttlebots and has disassembled and reassembled them several times over in an effort to understand them. The RAAT Head refuses to accept that the Autobots and Decepticons are different and issues an ultimatum; after one more attack, the Throttlebots would be put to death. The Predacons were more than happy to oblige. Walter Barnett, head of the project that worked on the Throttlebots, saved the brain modules from destruction and stowed them away in toy cars and fled, searching for the Witwickys. Razorclaw and the Predacons stormed the facility and demanded to be able to inspect the compressed corpses of the Throttlebots and was satisfyed they were the real deal, until Ratbat noticed the absence of the brain modules. The Predacons then chased the "fuel scent" of the brain modules across the area, chasing Barnett and Buster Witwicky through a suburban mall. The Predacons were outrun by the Autobots in their remote control toy bodies and were about as effective as Tantrum was at making it through the mall's china shop. {{storylink|Toy Soldiers}}

After [[Thunderwing (G1)|Thunderwing's]] reactivation and subsequent return to [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]], the Predacons are dispatched to ensure that his defeat is final this time. Razorclaw starts a countdown on an orbital bombardment powerful enough to destroy Cybertron, but stands at the console with his finger on the button, ready to cancel it in the event that Thunderwing is defeated. He remarks that he's hesitant to destroy Cybertron unless it's absolutely necessary, but is willing to do it if it is. He cancels the countdown with one second remaining, after [[Optimus Prime (G1)|Optimus Prime]] defeats Thunderwing.
