Teleportation is the ability to instantly transport matter from one place to another within a very short amount of time. In the war between the Autobots and the Decepticons, such a power could be the key between victory and defeat.

Strange thing is, most Transformers who can teleport are total morons. Primus save us from idiots who can teleport.

Fiction
Generation 1
Skywarp possesses the ability to teleport. Though this would make him potentially deadly, without Megatron or Starscream to tell him what to do, he's useless, so his teleportation ability is not really a threat as far as the Autobots are concerned. Usually, he just uses it for immature pranks, such as pushing the other Decepticons down the stairs. Although the victim finds it unfunny, the other Decepticons enjoy it... because it's really funny.

Also, the Decepticons' space bridge was used to teleport troops and materials between Cybertron and Earth.

Beast Era
Beast Wars
While setting up a communication system, Cheetor accidentally found that when struck by lightning, they turned into a teleportation route between the Axalon and the Darksyde. Terrorsaur and Dinobot also discovered this, and Terrorsaur suggested that they use it to destroy both Optimus Primal and Megatron.

Dinobot ejected Terrorsaur through the waste system, then convinced Optimus to use the teleporter to send a bomb to the Darksyde.

Bad news was, both ships were on an energon vein that would explode catastrophically if either ship blew. So Cheetor deactivated the clamps that held it in place, and Terrorsaur then sent it into the air. Cheetor then used the teleporter to return to the Axalon, which also destroyed the communicators, destroying the teleportation system. Equal Measures

Unicron trilogy
Thrust and wheeljack both had ghost-like teleportation abilities.Thrust usually used his to escape from opponents while wheeljack used his to intimidate and easily defeat Side Swipe then later used them when fighting hot shot.Skywarp (like many other Skywarps) also has the ability. When Starscream got resurrected he also had ghost-like teleportation abilities.Vector Prime was able to open warp gates by using his sword Rhisling.

Movie
Dreadwing has the ability to teleport. Nobody knows how he got it, and since he's too stupid to have made it himself, the other Decepticons think that he stole it.

Animated
Skywarp has the ability to teleport, which he uses to flee from battle even quicker. Skywarp (Animated)#Toys Lockdown had a pair of Teleportation Bracelets which he used when capturing Blackarachnia. Web of Deception
"Scrapper" type
Scrapper is the weakest of the drones, and ironically, the only one with melee weapons. His vehicle mode is a forkilft, and the forks turn into blades, which they use to bash Autobots or Decepticons. The Autobot type is red and has a faceplate and eyes, like all the drones. The Decepticon type is orange with a camera lens. They also have missile launchers built in their arms.
They are also the smallest drones, small enough that, in order to kill them, Optimus must lean all the way down. They are slightly shorter than Jazz, and even he has little trouble defeating them.

"Swindle" type
Slightly taller than Scrapper and shorter than Dropkick, Swindle units transform into sports cars. They like to hang around Tranquility -- in the daytime they stay by themselves and hide in vehicle mode, waiting to ambush Bumblebee. In the middle of the night, they pair up, obviously because Optimus Prime would cut through one of them like sushi. In fact, he cuts through two of them like two pieces of sushi.

Their main weapon is their arm-mounted missile blaster, although their usual strategy is to pick up the nearest object (even their allies) and throw it at you.

Like all drones, the Autobots have faces, the Decepticons have lenses. The Decepticon drones are crimson red, while the Autobots are bright green.

In one alternate reality, Swindles were a regular sight in the Decepticon occupation forces on Earth. At least one sentient Swindle was also present.

"Dropkick" type
The Dropkick drones are fairly powerful—stronger than Swindles, but less powerful than Class Beta Drones. Their usual attacks involve tossing anything nearby at the Autobot (or Decepticon) they are fighting. They transform into pickups.
Powerful as they are, the Dropkicks are easily defeated, especially by the likes of Optimus and Megatron. It isn't hard to knock them down, it's getting them to stay down that's hard.

Class Alpha type
The Class Alpha Drones are similar to their leader, Dreadwing, in many ways. Their main weapon is shooting fire out of their hands, which can be used to deadly effect. They are definitely some of the most powerful units and can easily defeat even Starscream. The Autobot versions are blue and only appear to harass Starscream while he is in a military base. They transform into large jets.

His natural affinity for the drones has resulted in becoming commander of the Decepticon drone army.
A mass of purple Class-Alphas can be seen in an alternate reality.
Class Beta type
Class Beta drones are also among the most powerful of all drones. Their only attack is to charge straight at their enemies, ramming their shoulders into their enemy's gut and sending them flying.

They transform into SWAT trucks and are usually easy to spot in a crowd. Even Optimus cannot easily defeat them.

During an alternate timeline, these drones were commonly used in Decepticon occupations and massed assaults; Ratchet and Ironhide once disguised themselves as Beta's. There were also snazzy red ones which carried rifles, and a green one co-opted by Stockade.

"Longarm" type
Longarms are slightly weaker than Payload drones, strong enough to defeat Bumblebee, Barricade, or Ironhide, but unable to stop Optimus or Megatron. In robot mode, they are slightly taller than Bumblebee or Ironhide, but much shorter than Optimus.

"Mixmaster" type
Mixmaster units could be even more powerful than Payloads, if that is possible. They transform into cement mixers and cannot be stopped once they start moving. The only way to defeat them is to throw something at them, pick them up, and toss them high into the sky.

"Thundercracker" type
Little is known about the Thundercracker-type units beyond the fact that they only were used in an assault on NATO in an alternate reality. They are modelled on Thundercracker, who is not a drone.

Ground-troop type
These mystery drones appear similarly to Shockwave, with a strange, greenish color. They wield laser rifles, and serve Megatron as ground warriors. Not much else is known about them...

"Starscream" type
Though this strange unit may or may not be a drone, it is most likely that he is, as he is seen working under Dreadwing during a raid on France. He is the only one of his kind seen during the attack, but there might be more lurking in the shadows...

He (they?) must not be confused with the actual Starscream.
Trivia
* Many of the drones do some stupid things during their existence. If fighting Bumblebee in the power plant, they tend to throw power generators, which proceeds to blow up everything -- including them.
* Some of the drones are references to other people. The Autobot Dropkicks are obviously Salvage, Scrappers kind of get a toy in the Revenge of the Fallen line as Dirt Boss, and the Autobot Dreadwings' blue color is used later in the Revenge of the Fallen Wii/PS2 games on the Autobot long-range warriors, which are essentialy blue Breakaways.
*Along with blowing everything up and destroying themselves drones also hurt or even kill each other when they throw each other at an enemy.

*Along with blowing everything up and destroying themselves drones also hurt or even kill each other when they throw each other at an enemy

During armada Thrust showed the ability to teleport quite a number of times though how he did it was quite different from others . He seemed to turn invisible then fade away though he could also turn invisible without teleporting .Wheeljack's way of teleportion was almoost the same though he only used it a few times.
Movie
Dreadwing has the ability to teleport. Nobody knows how he got it, and since he's too stupid to have made it himself, the other Decepticons think that he stole it.
Having once been saved from a hanging rope trap by Blurr's marksmanship on Cybertron, he immediately traveled to Earth to join him upon finding out where he had gone. Blurr managed to pawn him off on Hot Shot, and the two went out for a little training.

Unfortunately, at the same time, Hot Shot's former protege Wheeljack arrived on Earth, intent on doing horrible things to Hot Shot. Side Swipe crossed paths with Wheeljack, immediately leapt to his new awesome commander's defense, and failed. He later tried this again, only this time Wheeljack captured him and chained him up somewhere in an abandoned oil refinery. The battle between Hot Shot and Wheeljack set the place ablaze, re-setting the scene where Wheeljack thought Hot Shot left him to die back on Cybertron centuries ago. Side Swipe blubbered a lot, thinking he was gonna die, but Hot Shot saved him. Back at the base, Side Swipe tried to give his commander a great big hug for saving his life. From then on, he called Hot Shot "Bro". Past, Part 1 Past, Part 2 He was one of the Autobots deployed to fight Starscream and Tidal Wave when they attacked a rain forest. However, the attack turned out to be a distraction to allow the other Decepticons to attack the Autobot base. When Smokescreen was killed by the Requiem Blaster, Side Swipe was amongst those who saluted him as he died in Prime's arms. SacrificeWhile Smokescreen was being repaired, Side Swipe saw Tidal Wave and Starscream approaching {though he didn't know that he was being chased and attacked by Tidal Wave} and went along with Hot Shot to seek revenge though they both soon had to get bailed out by Jet Optimus and the Star Saber. Side Swipe along with most of the bots didn’t trust Starscream and soon proved his point when Starscream betrayed the bots and taking the Skyboom Shield and Star Saber with him. As Prime went to destroy the Hydra Cannon along with Jetfire , Side Swipe stayed on Earth with the other Autobots however their leader was soon destroyed by the cannon though stopping it from attacking the Earth.
Sideswipe was part of Jetfire's Autobot unit, stationed at the Autobase on Cybertron. Pressing down on the sigil plate in vehicle mode swings his car hood halves forward in a spring-loaded attack (or "dragster mode"). These hood parts end up on his arms in robot mode, giving him a spring-loaded attack in that mode. Attaching Nightbeat (or any other Mini-Con mold) to the Powerlinx plug on his back activates a "punching" action gimmick in his left arm.
* Aaron Archer, posting as "Orson", once gave signs that "Nightbeat" was actually meant to be Side Swipe's name and somehow had gotten swapped to his Mini-Con. He mentioned trying to get this corrected, but it never surfaced.
* Even though the toy's name was originally spelled "Sideswipe" on the packaging and in the instructions, Hasbro had been parsing the name as "Side Swipe" on toys from previous lines after they had successfully reclaimed it from another company that had been holding the name in the "toys" field during the 1990s. A packaging variant for the toy released as part of the "Unicron Battles" refresh of the Armada line later saw the name changed to "Side Swipe".
Blurr managed to pawn him off on Hot Shot, and the two went out for a little training.
The battle between Hot Shot and Wheeljack set the place ablaze, re-setting the scene where Wheeljack thought Hot Shot left him to die back on Cybertron centuries ago.
