'''When Overlord turns Garrus-9 into his personal playground, it's time to call in the suicide mission specialists.'''
==Synopsis==

[[Image:LastStandoftheWreckers1-newrecruits.jpg|left|thumb|250px|Yay, we get to join the team where everybody dies!]]

Three years ago, at [[Garrus-9]] penitentiary, [[Fortress Maximus (G1)|Fortress Maximus]] and his subordinate [[Kick-Off (G1)|Kick-Off]] deal with a massive [[Decepticon]] assault on the prison. Kick-Off smells an inside job, while Fortress Maximus replies that only he has the codes to the Garrus-9 doors—good thing, too.

Decepticon general [[Skyquake (G1)|Skyquake]] intends to take the facility for [[Megatron (G1)|Megatron]], but is interrupted by the arrival of [[Overlord (Masterforce)|Overlord]]. All the Decepticons are in awe of him, terrified as well. Refusing Overlord's request for him to relinquish command, Skyquake is shot in the back; Overlord then leads the Decepticons in storming the prison and slaughtering its defenders. He offers the freed prisoners the entire planet as a source of entertainment, free from the narrow whims of Megatron. As a game, Overlord throws the battered body of Fortress Maximus to the mob, saying all they have to do is try not to kill him.

Eight months ago, [[Ironfist (G1)|Ironfist]], [[Guzzle (G1)|Guzzle]], [[Rotorstorm]], and [[Pyro]] are scolded by annoying local reconstruction manager, [[Dipstick]], for blowing up the fuel depot with their new guns. Guzzle says that's what [[Wrecker]]s do. [[Ultra Magnus (G1)|Ultra Magnus]]'s ship arrives. Only Pyro farewells the manager Dipstick in a civil manner, but is blown off by Dipstick. The bots leave on Ultra Magnus's ship, becoming the newest Wreckers.

On board, they are greeted by [[Verity Carlo]], one of the humans who made first contact with the [[Autobot]]s on [[Earth]]. They're dubious as to her being a Wrecker, but [[Springer (G1)|Springer]] walks in (with [[Twin Twist]], [[Kup (G1)|Kup]], [[Perceptor (G1)|Perceptor]] and [[Topspin (G1)|Topspin]]) and informs them that none of them are, yet. The situation on Garrus-9 is explained; it's been overrun by the Decepticons, but any attempt by other Decepticons to get in has been blown out of orbit with extreme prejudice. The new Wreckers are there to investigate. Springer explains to the new guys the dangers of Wreckership: Being a Wrecker means your first day could be your last.

Two years ago, the Garrus-9 Decepticons start hunting Autobots as sport. A purple Decepticon subdues the Autobot being hunted, but his cockiness catches him off guard and the Autobot leaps at his throat. Overlord kills the Autobot and then the purple Decepticon, explaining to the others that any bot that careless is wasting his life and therefore wasting Overlord's time.

On Ultra Magnus's ship, Ironfist suffers a mysterious blackout, It's revealed he was a journalist who wrote the extensive ''[[Wreckers: Declassified]]'' datalogs on the Wreckers, under the alias Fisitron—to the amazement of Twin Twist and Topspin. Wreckers old and new talk, while Springer notices Ironfist may be hiding something. Springer himself seems burdened by the danger of Wreckership, wondering if there's any point to forming these teams for the Wreckers, only to have them blown apart at a moment's notice. Kup remarks that Springer can't stop thinking about [[Impactor]]. Springer replies that it's hard but not impossible, walking off scowling. They're then interrupted by a call to the bridge.

One month earlier, Overlord watches as Kick-Off battles the Decepticon [[Borehole]] in gladiatorial combat; the Autobot viciously beats his opponent, kicking him down. Borehole pleads with Kick-Off reminding him he's an Autobot. Kick-Off replies that being an Autobot means nothing on Garrus-9. With that, he rips Borehole's head off. Overlord is pleased and invites Kick-Off into his quarters, where he says Kick-Off may choose his reward.

On Ultra Magnus's ship, they witness the battered hull of a Decepticon dropship, which detonates even as they watch. They prepare to fire as a single form flies from the explosion towards them, but Kup stops them as they recognize the damaged Cybertronian before them. To their shock and amazement, they realize it is... Impactor. He asks permission to come aboard...
==Notes==
* This story comes [[Simon Furman|Furman]]-approved!<ref>[http://simonfurman.wordpress.com/2010/02/01/comics-candy-addendum/]</ref>
* The issue comes with an in-universe profile of Rotorstorm, written by Roberts.
* You might be wondering why Ironfist is drawn with that little scar on his head. Keep it in mind...
* We learn the Autobots have their ''own'' [[Autopedia|Transformers wiki]]!
* The [[Action Master]] Kick-Off declares that "alt modes are for wimps!"
* Pyro really ''has'' copied Prime's look, and #5 will [[Primus apotheosis|reveal why]].

===Errors===
* On page 2, the handle bit on the top of Overlord's gun is missing.
* On page 14, on Ironfist's POV shot of the Wreckers checking on him, Topspin is colored with a black helmet and a red visor, apparently mistaken for [[Rotorstorm]] by colorist [[Josh Burcham]]. This error is corrected in the trade paperback.
* Between pages 15 and 16, Twin Twist and Topspin switch positions while talking to the new recruits.

===Transformers references===
* Verity now sports a small tattoo of a green alien head on the back of her right shoulder. This is in tribute to her departed friend [[Hunter O'Nion]], who throughout ''[[The Transformers: Infiltration|Infiltration]]'' wore a shirt with a similar green alien head on it.
* Ironfist brings up the "siege of T'Muk", a reference to [http://www.the-hub.co.uk/tmuk/ Transmasters UK] (TMUK for short, get it?), the fan club and circle of authors and artists that Roberts and Roche are longtime members of, and in which they originally rose to prominence.
* On page four, there are a pair of Autobots, one green and one orange, beheaded by Snare. These were colored by Josh Burcham in ''Revenge of the Fallen''<nowiki>'</nowiki>s [[Skids (ROTF)|Skids]] and [[Mudflap (ROTF)|Mudflap]]'s decos as an "homage", if you can call it that.<ref>http://forum.idwpublishing.com/viewtopic.php?p=166695#166695</ref>
* The Autobot captured by Wingblazer is named [[Spin-Out]] (so named in the script<ref>http://forum.idwpublishing.com/viewtopic.php?p=167537#167537</ref>), which was the working name of G1 [[Sunstreaker (G1)|Sunstreaker]].

===Real-world references===
* While attempting to hail a Decepticon ship, Verity makes a reference to [[Uhura]] from ''[[wikipedia:Star Trek|Star Trek]]''.
*Verity calls Rotorstorm "Hitman", a reference to professional wrestler Bret "Hitman" Hart, who is known for pink wrap-around sunglasses.
**Rotorstorm is the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be.
*Verity references an album title from the British band ''The Darkness'' with the words, "One way ticket to hell... and back."
:''Sixknight is an [[Autobot]] [[Six Changer]] from the [[Super-God Masterforce (franchise)|Super-God Masterforce]] portion of the [[Generation 1 (franchise)|Generation 1]] [[continuity family]].''
'''Sixknight''' (シックスナイト ''Shikkusunaito'') is dedicated to being the best. A member of the enigmatic ninja [[Six Clan]], he has voyaged across the universe increasing his strength and skill, mastering the elusive art of [[Six Changer|six-changing]] and learning to manipulate [[Chōkon Power|Tenchōkon Power]]. The problem with this boastful ninja, though, is that he really needs people to ''know'' how good he is, and if there's someone out there who claims to be more powerful, then there's no other course of action for Sixknight than to take them on and show them who's boss. Sixknight really only understands force, believing that one's own power is all that matters—the subtleties of fighting ''for'' something or someone are lost upon him. As a Six Changer, however, he is a mercurial, impressionable sort, and the nobility of the [[Autobot]]s intrigues this wandering warrior...
[[Image:Sixknight strikeapose.jpg|left|210px|thumb|Strike a pose!]]
Sixknight traveled to [[Earth]] with the intention of joining up with the [[Decepticon]]s, dispatching a squadron of fighter jets and a battleship upon arrival on the planet. Easily evading [[Decepticon Base]]'s radar, Sixknight appeared before the [[Pretender]]s and [[Headmaster Junior]]s, who did not take kindly to the Six Changer's arrogance. While the Pretenders attacked Sixknight and were promptly flattened in a mere few moments, [[Cancer (Masterforce)|Cancer]] summoned [[Giga]] and [[Mega]], who agreed to hear Sixknight out. Explaining that he had come to lend his power to the Decepticons so that they could easily crush Earth's "human scum", Sixknight was furious when they laughed in his face, telling him that power alone was not enough. Sixknight retorted that his was no ordinary power, that he could control Tenchōkon Power, but Mega and Giga revealed to him the existence of the [[Godmaster]]s, who were capable of controlling all three forms of Chōkon Power. Sixknight was dismissed from the base much to his annoyance, but [[Blood]] and [[Gilmer]] decided to exploit the Six Changer's rage by suggesting that he challenge [[Ginrai]] in order to prove his skill. Blood and Gilmer stated that they intended to use him to defeat Ginrai.

[[Image:Sixknight ginrai.jpg|right|220px|thumb|PWNED!]]
Sixknight promptly attacked a Japanese city in order to draw Ginrai out, and met with resistance from Japan's Self-Defence Force, along with the Autobot Pretenders [[Metalhawk]] and [[Diver]]. Sixknight battled Metalhawk for a bit before Blood and Gilmer came into to fight Diver, much to Sixknight's annoyance as he wanted to fight them himself. The Autobot Headmaster Juniors soon arrived after, he mistook [[Shūta Gō|Goshooter]] for Ginrai, but when the genuine article arrived, the pair faced off in a one-on-one duel. When Sixknight's rapid-transforming "[[Rokuhenka]] Attack" met with failure and the ninja was pinned by Ginrai, Blood and Gilmer stepped in and seized [[Minerva (Masterforce)|Minerva]], threatening her life if Ginrai did not back down. Sixknight then fought Ginrai unaware of the hostage situation and when Ginrai was at the gun point, Sixknight demanded to know why Ginrai was not fighting back. Minerva then told Ginrai not to worry and defeat Sixknight, which alerted Sixknight to the hostage situation. Although amazed that Ginrai cared anything for humans, Sixknight was enraged by the Pretenders' interference, and forced them at gunpoint to let Minerva free so that he could continue his battle with Ginrai honorably. For the final stage of their battle, Sixknight initiated his "Six-Change Attack of Death", but as he hurled himself at Ginrai, the Godmaster blasted him clean out of the air with one shot of Chōkon Power. Scarred and smoking, Sixknight's final humiliation came when Ginrai disconnected from his [[Transtector]], revealing that he was, in fact, one of the "human scum" that Sixknight so despised leaving Sixknight to question his strength. {{storylink|A Powerful Foe!! Unable to comprehend how a Transformer could be defeated by a human being, Sixknight soon approached the Autobot Headmaster Juniors, laid down his weapons, and requested an audience with Ginrai. Though the Headmaster Juniors were on edge about Sixknight's intentions, Ginrai soon arrived. An impassioned Ginrai explained to Sixknight that the true strength of human beings is not physical, but comes from their indomitable spirit and drive to protect others, even if victory is impossible, only to have Sixknight reject the answer, unable to comprehend how he could lose to such an intangible concept. As Ginrai continued to explain, news of an attack by the Decepticon Headmaster Juniors in a nearby city came in, and Sixknight volunteered to prove that he was not a Decepticon by taking the three punks on. The Six Changer immediately headed for the city, where he violently engaged the Juniors, but was caught off-guard when the punks pretended to surrender. Seized and pummelled by the evil trio, Sixknight regained the advantage when Minerva distracted Cancer, and he soon had the Decepticons at his mercy, poised to delivery a killing blast. At that moment, however, Sixknight hesitated, giving Minerva and [[Browning]] (Cancer's new friend) enough time to create a smokescreen to cover the Juniors' escape. As they fled, Sixknight realized that his actions had been enough, and that killing was not necessary. Now convinced that Sixknight was trustworthy, Ginrai invited him back to [[Autobot Base]], but Sixknight informed the human that he should not trust him so easily. Telling Ginrai that he now knew there was a purpose in their meeting, Sixknight departed, noting that it was likely their paths would cross again. {{storylink|The Autobot Warrior, Sixknight?!}}

[[Image:Hokutosixknight.gif|right|thumb|Atatatatatata!]]
It would be some time before Sixknight would meet with the Autobots again, but he did eventually reappear in the midst of a battle between the Autobot Headmaster Juniors and the Decepticon Godmaster brothers, [[Hydra (Masterforce)|Hydra]] and [[Buster (Masterforce)|Buster]]. The Juniors were desperately trying to get the drone [[Godbomber]] to safety when Sixknight dropped out of the sky and tackled the two Decepticons. Sixknight battled the brohers as [[Darkwings]] for a while but Buster managed to break away from the battle and went after the Juniors leaving Hydra to battle Sixknight, but the three kids were able to transform Godbomber to robot mode and defeat Buster, as Sixknight continued to battle Hydra the Juniors headed off to help Ginrai in battle with [[Overlord (Masterforce)|Overlord]]. Hydra was eventually defeated and forced to retreat. In the aftermath of the battle, Ginrai thanked Sixknight for his help, and the Six Changer departed once more, already looking forward to his next meeting with the Autobots. {{storylink|Destroy Godbomber!!}}
[[Image:Sixknight death.jpg|left|220px|thumb|That's gonna leave a mark... or not.]]
Alas, Sixknight's next encounter with the Autobots would be his last. Atop the Matterhorn, Ginrai was under attack by [[Scorponok (G1)|BlackZarak]] (possessed by [[Devil Z]]) when Sixknight arrived to help his friend and Overlord (who had just turned on his master), blasting the giant Decepticon with a volley of missiles as he burrowed up from beneath the ground in his drill-tank mode. Sixknight challenged BlackZarak to battle, telling Ginrai to assemble the Autobots for the final battle while he held BlackZarak off. Though Ginrai was hesitant to go Sixknight eventually convinced him to go. Quietly, Sixknight admitted that he was happy to have fought Ginrai, and pressed his attack on BlackZarak, only to be bombarded by the villain's [[Devil Power]]. Convulsing violently, Sixknight's body exploded, leaving nothing but a smoking crater right before Ginrai and Overlord's horrified eyes. This enraged Ginrai enough to challenge Black Zarak/Devil Z himself, vowing to avenge Sixknight. {{storylink|Malevolent and Inhuman! The True Form of Devil Z}}
== Paring it down ==

I should probably say something here about the edit I just made. I've said it in the past, but I often feel that any fiction sections that are created as the fiction is being produced (so, for the wiki, that's basically the Animated and Prime cartoons) have a great tendency to be overlong, not through anyone's fault, but simply because they're built up week on week, with isolated, perhaps-a-bit-too-detailed episode summaries being added one after the other. Megatron has one of the smallest Prime cartoon sections, since he's only been in like two-thirds of the episodes, but it still seemed ''really'' long for a single 26-episode season with potentially three or four more seasons to be added to it yet as time goes by, and it's nothing compared to some of the Animated ones - and that just sort of sticks out to me, when series of greater length that are written up retroactively after they're done tend to read more quickly and concisely. Obviously, if what I've done offends society and the children, we can revert and I won't object... but frankly, I'm annoyed I couldn't shave off more than 2500 characters. Have the CV Commander infront of me. I see no pack-in file card. A few other things; his swordy bladey thingy doesn't peg in to his vehicle mode as per the instructions- hole is too small on the engine/ fusion cannon. This may be just on mine but i'm bringing it up as a potential mold problem if others have it too. Also, the side of the box has 2/004 printed on it. Does this denote that he is the 2nd out of 4 in the CV Commander line? Surely there'll be more than 4 of them? [[User:Durge|Durge]] 17:56, 2 February 2012 (EST)
== Trivia update? ==
I was just wondering, is this:

''"Optimus Prime's recollections in Darkness Rising have him and Megatron fighting side-by-side at the start of the Great War. This is the first time a Megatron has been involved in a Great War that he didn't start, never mind one where he used to be a goodie."''

...strictly accurate anymore?

I'm not saying that I'm actually sure it ''isn't'', and I freely admit that I've not read the two novels, but based on what is said in [[One Shall Rise, Part 3]] and what this page seems to be saying further up, my impression is that Megatron pretty much DID start the war, and was only ever rather debatably a "goodie", depending on how one views his early political idealism. The extent to which Orion/Optimus and Megs fought side-by-side still appears a bit murky to my understanding, and it seems likewise debatable as to whether any such unity was during the Great War proper. Doesn't Ratchet seem to indicate that this took place before either faction really existed, ergo likely before the Great War ''per se''? But yeah, I'm quite unclear on this, so I didn't want to just go ahead and delete/alter it myself.
The "'''four original AllSpark Mutations'''" are a quartet of machines—a car, a crane, a shotgun and a radio—that were given life by the [[AllSpark]] when it was accidentally activated in [[Movie timeline|1913]]. As mere machines, they belonged to the members of the crew that investigated the AllSpark, and as AllSpark Mutations, they were killed by them. That is, [[Bonnie and Clyde's car|except for one]].

==Fiction==
===IDW ''Dark of the Moon'' comics===
When [[Jetfire (ROTF)|Jetfire]] discovered the [[AllSpark]] excavation site in the Colorado River basin, he reached out for the [[Sacred implement|sacred object]]. The AllSpark, however, reacted by unleashing its energies on the machines nearby, giving them life. The first three creatures created this way were the crane that held up the AllSpark, a radio and a nearby car. The radio immediately attacked its user, while the crane's and car's acts of aggression weren't directed at anyone in particular. Meanwhile, as [[Roy Thompson]] tried to save [[Theodore Joseph Wells|Theodore Wells]], his gun was also granted life and shot Wells in the knee. The radio subsequently tried to kill the weakened Wells, but Thompson destroyed both it and the gun before they could do further harm.

[[Herbert Hoover]] came up with an idea to deal with the other two, figuring that if the machines they once were couldn't work underwater, then likely the creatures they were now also weren't fond of a bath. While [[Lou Hoover]] instructed the excavation crew to move to higher ground, Herbert opened the water bypass floodgates of the nearby dam, allowing the river to flow its own course right over the crane creature. As expected, it drowned

Given that they finally could calm down after a hectic battle, no one realized at first that there was one mutation they had not dealt with. The car had made use of his brethren's fight to get away unnoticed {{storylink|Irreplaceable}} and for the next twenty or so years kept soundly away from any conflict that could result in his death. Then it met [[Bonnie Parker]] and [[Clyde Barrow]] and instantly took a liking to the bold [[human]]s. After it saved them from a cop, it became their partner in crime and helped them free the prisoners in the Eastham jail. However, there it came face to face again with Roy Thompson, who had brought along a new weapon created by [[Sector Seven]] just to deal with creatures like him.
