'''Deathsaurus and the Breastforce invade American subway tunnels to steal electrical energy.'''

==Synopsis==
[[Image:BigCityTerror Killbison scouting.jpg|left|200px|thumb|Killbison's tired of these dirty old sidewalks.]]
Aboard the ''[[Thunder Arrow]]'', [[Deathsaurus (G1)|Deathsaurus]] hands down his newest set of orders to the [[Breastforce]], instructing them to steal electrical energy from a major American subway system. [[Leozack]] advocates concern over potential [[Autobot]] interference, but Deathsaurus coolly silences him, telling him that it is not his place to worry about it. As the Breastforce depart, Leozack sulks about the fact that their plan leaves them scurrying around underground, and blows up at his teammates when they suggest that he might wants to keep his voice down in case Deathsaurus hears. A little later, the Breastforce arrive in American and [[Drillhorn (G1)|Drillhorn]] burrows a path for them into the city's subway system. [[Jallguar]] manages to avoid a collision with a train, and a large trail of rubble left by Drillhorn derails another.

At the [[Rocket Base|Shuttle Base]], [[Star Saber (G1)|Star Saber]] and the [[Brainmaster]]s process reports from the [[Multiforce]], who are patrolling the globe for Decepticon activity. The lack of a report from America prompts them to move the Shuttle Base, after which [[Jan Minakaze|Jan]] and the [[Rescue Patrol Team|Rescue Team]] go outside to practise their speedy rescue tactics. The drill is soon interrupted by the sound of a klaxon, signalling to Jan and the Rescues that the Brainmasters have discovered the Decepticons' activities in America. Despite realizing the limitations that they will be subjected to by attempting to fight within a subway (and realizing that the Decepticons likely planned it that way), Star Saber orders the Autobots into action. The Brainmasters and Rescue Team board the [[Galaxy Shuttle]], and Jan sneaks aboard to join in the battle.

[[Image:BigCityTerror Star Saber arrives.jpg|right|200px|thumb]]
Back in the subway, Leozack is too busy being pissy to focus on his job, and decides to disobey orders and just do things the most direct way—which for him involves opening fire on the tunnel walls to expose the various electrical systems. It's not long before the rest of the Breastforce follow his lead, causing explosions that begin tearing through the streets above as Star Saber and the Autobots arrive. Analyzing the Decepticons' tactics, Star Saber deduces that their target is the subway's power center, and he prepares to head there himself while the Rescue Team help in the damaged areas and the Brainmasters take on the Breastforce. Jan almost manages to sneak aboard Holi without being seen, but even though Star Saber spots him, he convinces the Supreme Commander to allow him to help.

[[Image:BigCityTerror Blacker vs Killbison.jpg|left|200px|thumb|Hump that tank!]]
Star Saber heads into the power distribution center (in his small robot form of Saber, with the [[V-Star]] hovering along behind him), and after some searching, discovers that he is not alone. What he does not expect, however, is to find that the Decepticon in the center is Deathsaurus himself! With Star Saber unable to open fire for fear of damaging the equipment, Deathsaurus unleashes his [[Breast Animal]]s, and the intelligence of his scheme is revealed—in the cramped quarters of the subway, the Autobots are no match for the small, nimble Breast Animals! [[Laster]] and [[Blacker]] have also discovered this fact in their battles with Drillhorn and [[Killbison]]; Killbison even leaves his Bisonbreast to tackle Blacker, but Leozack shows up to criticize him for running. Leozack unleashes his own Breast Animal, and he, it and the Bisonbreast take on Blacker together.

[[Image:BigCityTerror Deathsaurus stab.jpg|right|200px|thumb]]
Back with Star Saber and Deathsaurus, the Autobot leader has spotted the flaw in Deathsaurus's plan, and targets the Decepticon's now-unprotected chest plate. Deathsaurus's Breast Animals continue to interfere, so Star Saber calls on his own little friend, instructing the V-Star to crash into Deathsaurus. The villain raises his shield to block the oncoming craft, but this results in him leaving his chest open, and Star Saber hurls his sword, impaling Deathsaurus on its blade. Thusly wounded, Deathsaurus recalls his Breast Animals and flees with what energy he has managed to gather. The news of his retreat quickly reaches Jallguar, and he informs Killbison and Leozack of the situation. Leozack has no desire to back down from the fight, but when Killbison and Jallguar flee, he is left on his own and with no choice but to pull out.

With the Decepticons driven off, Star Saber and the Brainmasters emerge from the tunnels, and meet up with Jan and the Rescue Team, who have been busy helping civilians escape from a collapsed subway station. Star Saber credits his team with performing well under disadvantageous circumstances, and the Autobots set about rebuilding the damaged city.

==Notes==
===Animation and technical errors===
* Blacker's head is ''tiny'' when he bends Killbison's cannons, and again later when Leozack is refusing to retreat.

===Continuity Errors===
* Although Deathsaurus is still depicted as being bigger than the normal mode Star Saber, he's still a lot smaller than in the rest of the series where he's depicted as being the size of a combiner.
* In the Omni Productions dub, the city being attacked is first named by the narrator as "Metropolis City", then later the Autobots look at a subway map for [[Los Angeles]]. The city goes unnamed in the Japanese version, however an onscreen map the Autobots view points pretty conclusively to it being [[New York City]].
* If it is New York, the Big Apple sure looks a lot less futuristic in 2025 than it did in 2010 ([[Only Human]]).
* The result of Laster's showdown with Drillhorn is not shown. When last we see them, Laster is having a hard time with Hornbreast in the close quarters of the subway while Drillhorn stands around cackling, then defiantly charges both in an extra-dramatic bit of animation, followed by a scene change. From there, we never see Drillhorn again. The other Decepticons retreat at the end of the episode without him, and Laster appears none the worse for wear alongside his teammates in the closing group shots, with no mention of what happened.
* More glaring is Braver's total absence from the engagement. He disembarks from Galaxy Shuttle with everyone else when the Autobots arrive, then disappears completely while his comrades fight the Decepticons, reappearing in the group shots when the battle is over. What a brave guy!

===Trivia===
* As Galaxy Shuttle swoops into the city, one building is topped with an advert reading "TRANSFORMER" with a large "V" through it, and "ANIME STUDIO". As Star Saber descends towards the rail tunnels, another building with a similar sign is visible behind him.
* This episode unusually includes a line of dialogue in the preview shown before the title card. Specifically, Jallguar's line "Swiftly, discretely, and precisely...", uttered as he pops up in the subway station.
** Ever conscientious, the English dub also inserts a line at the same point in the preview—"We need that energy!"—however it doesn't match the line Jaguar speaks when we reach that scene in the episode! For the record, the actual line is "Thank heavens for that!"
* How curious that this major American city has no police department, fire department or ambulance services of its own, apparently relying entirely on the Rescue Patrol Team for its emergency needs, and that there is no traffic on the streets at all to hinder their efforts.
*This is the only time Deathsaurus actually does something himself instead of letting the Breastforce or Dinoforce lead. Perhaps he's tired of their failure.

===Foreign localization===
'''English'''
:*''Title:'' "'''Terror Under the Metropolis'''" ([[Omni Productions]] dub)
:*''Original airdate:'' [[June 30]], [[1991]]
::* Rather than being dissatisfied with Deathsaurus's plan involving sneaking around, Leozack complains that the Dinoforce should be sent instead as the Breastforce are soldiers, not sneaky thieves.
::* Rather than musing to himself that it wouldn't be good if the train hits him, Jallguar appears to talk to the train.
::* Drillhorn's threat to Laster is toned down considerably!
::* Star Saber's relief at the energy theft being minimised becomes relief that the damage had been minimised. This line is immediately followed by a pan down a completely devastated street. All mention of the Autobots repairing the damage is also gone.
::* The music and effects track is severely warped when Star Saber first approaches Deathsaurus in the power distribution center, and again during their battle near the end.
'''When a Decepticon drilling operation begins to melt the polar ice caps, Star Saber clashes with Liokaiser and Deathsaurus to save the life of Jan's classmate's father.'''

==Synopsis==
Somewhere in the frozen wastes of [[Antarctica]], electricity crackles in the night, and with sudden, frightening speed, glaciers begin to melt, pouring into the ocean. The [[United Nations Wintering Observation Base]] nearby attempts to catalog the seismic disturbances, but when the most powerful tremor yet hits, the station is devastated by an avalanche.

[[File:AntarcticBattle Wingwaver rescuer.jpg|thumb|left|upright=1.1|"Sorry guys, this is all I could scavenge up for lunch."]]
At the tip of [[South America]], the [[Multiforce]] perform rescue operations in a coastal city that has become flooded due to sudden rising water levels. [[Machtackle]] randomly speculates that the hypothetical melting of the polar ice caps could be responsible, and as if on cue, [[Star Saber (G1)|Star Saber]] radios the team and orders them to Antarctica to investigate the sudden loss of contact with the monitoring station.

At the same time, at the [[Shuttle Base]] [[Jan Minakaze|Jan]] and his school friends are half-heartedly working on their summer schoolwork when [[Holi]] peeps his head around the door, and is very nearly press-ganged into doing all their work for them. Holi refuses, so Jan decides instead to ask Star Saber for permission to use the computer, but Holi tells him that Star Saber is leaving to investigate the Antarctic base. Jan's friend [[Clump]] flies into a panic, as [[Clump's father|his father]] works at the base, and he and Jan accompany Star Saber and [[Galaxy Shuttle]] to the South Pole.

[[File:AntarcticBattle Landcross invisible fight.jpg|thumb|upright=1.1|Invisible knuckle sandwich.]]
In Antarctica, the cause of the disturbances becomes evident—it is, of course, the [[Decepticon]]s, who are drilling for [[oil]] beneath the permafrost. Their crackling drilling equipment is observed from afar by Clump's father, who has holed up in an ice cave with a small group of survivors from the monitoring station. Unable to risk trekking across the ice to the next nearest base, they are out of options until they hear engines overhead, and spot [[Wing (G1)|Wing]] and [[Mach (G1)|Mach]] investigating the area. The two [[Multiforce]]rs transform to help the humans, but are spotted by the [[Breastforce]], who combine into [[Liokaiser]], leaving the two Autobots in serious trouble. Thankfully, the other members of their team soon arrive (with [[Waver]] towing the others across the icy sea), and the group merges into [[Landcross (G1)|Landcross]] to even the battle out. Liokaiser tips the scales in his favor by revealing his previously-unseen power of invisibility, vanishing from sight and pummelling Landcross with ease.

To escape being hurled into the drilling shaft, the Multiforce separate, and Wing and Mach manage to send Liokaiser to that fate instead by following his footprints in the snow and snagging him with a trip-wire. To break his fall, Liokaiser grabs onto the drilling machine, throwing it off-kilter and causing the ice surrounding Clump's father and the other survivors to break and melt, carrying them away. The Multiforce form Landcross again as Liokaiser climbs to safety and fights back, but Star Saber arrives in time to take over the battle. Liokaiser surprises Star Saber with his "Battle Explosion" technique, separating into his component parts, attacking individually and recombining in one smooth motion, but Star Saber keeps on fighting, even as Galaxy Shuttle arrives with Jan, Clump, Holi and [[Boater]].

[[File:AntarcticBattle Galaxy Shuttle fight interrupt.jpg|thumb|left|upright=1.1| ''Don't sweat it, Liokaiser, I'm still taller than you'']]
As Boater takes Jan and Clump to rescue Clump's father and the other survivors from the ice floe on which they are trapped, Galaxy Shuttle tends to Landcross and then attempts to aid Star Saber in battle, only to fall victim to Liokaiser's invisibility powers as well. Star Saber is finally flattened by his invisible foe, but as Liokaiser looms over him to deliver the final blow, [[Deathsaurus (G1)|Deathsaurus]] emerges and prepares to take that pleasure for himself. Liokaiser is taken aback by this, but steps aside to allow his emperor to strike, only to have Star Saber exploit the momentary distraction by transforming and taking to the air.

[[File:AntarcticBattle Deathsaurus chokehold.jpg|thumb|upright=1.67|[[Garry Chalk|Luca Saberasi]] sleeps with the fishes]]
Deathsaurus pursues the Autobot leader and blasts him out of the sky, but Star Saber recovers quickly and takes the fight under the freezing water, where he manages to turn things around and blast Deathsaurus into an iceberg. Deathsaurus retreats back to the surface, where the fight continues in the air until Star Saber is able to ground his enemy. Deathsaurus still has plenty of fight left in him and begins choking Star Saber with the chain of his flail, but Star Saber is able to flip the villain over his shoulder as Liokaiser stands back and watches, grunting to himself that Deathsaurus should have left Star Saber to him. Meanwhile, ignored by the villains, Galaxy Shuttle snipes the Decepticons' drilling equipment, and it explodes rather dramatically, prompting Deathsaurus to call retreat.

After the Decepticons flee in the ''[[Thunder Arrow]]'', the Autobots and humans all gather together, and Clump's father thanks Star Saber for saving them all. ==Notes==
===Animation and technical errors===
[[File:AntarcticBattle Liokaiser tinyhead.jpg|thumb|upright=1.1|Argh! Forced perspective overload!]]
* While invisible, Liokaiser's details vanish and reappear between shots. The jet wings on his shoulders, the fins on his forearms, and the drill kibble on his leg are consistently absent, but Guyhawk and Hellbat's nosecones (on Liokaiser's shoulders) disappear in some scenes and appear in others.
* When Liokaiser starts swinging his [[Electromagnetic Nunchaku]] at Star Saber, his head is really tiny in comparison with his body. In contrast, when Deathsaurus declares that he will kill Star Saber, Liokaiser's head is quite large-especially compared to the next shot.
* Throughout the battle scenes, Liokaiser's legs switch their positions periodically-Killbison is replaced with Drillhorn and vice versa.
* After he starts riding around on the V-Star, Star Saber's head is drawn tiny in comparison with the rest of his body. Deathsaurus' head also seems narrower than normal as he battles Star Saber in the air.

===Transformers references===
*It is noted that Star Saber goes to Antarctica instead of [[Road Caesar]], due to injuries the combiner suffered in the [[Battle Up of Wrath!!|previous episode]].

===Trivia===
*Talk about filling for time: Liokaiser, Landcross ''and'' Star Saber have their complete combination/transformation stock footage used TWICE each in this episode. And they ain't short!
* The [[energon cube]]s the Decepticons are making in this episode have beveled edges, for no readily apparent reason.
''' When spaceships begin disappearing in the asteroid belt, Star Saber disguises himself to investigate personally.'''

==Synopsis==
While passing through the [[asteroid belt]] on its way to [[Jupiter]], the human-piloted ''[[Spaceship 301]]'' suddenly finds itself surrounded by a cloud of clinging, purple fog. The crew broadcast an SOS to the [[Space Center]] on [[Earth]], but communication is suddenly cut off, and all trace of the ship vanishes.

Later, in the [[Autobot]]s' [[Shuttle Base]] on Earth, Jan and the [[Rescue Patrol Team|Rescue Team]] discuss the disappearance of ''Spaceship 301'', which is but the latest in a chain of spaceship disappearances in the asteroid belt, leading to people calling it the "[[Devil's Space Triangle]]". Naturally, the ever-suspicious Autobots suspect that the disappearances are the [[Decepticon]]s' doing, but Jan isn't convinced, since [[Star Saber (G1)|Star Saber]] hasn't bothered to investigate. The [[Supreme Commander]] is, it turns out, otherwise occupied on a strange construction project with the [[Brainmaster]]s and the [[Multiforce]], but even the Multiforce aren't entirely sure what they're building.

[[Image:FierceBattleAsteroid Gairyu energy siphon.jpg|left|thumb|200px|Made with lightning! REAL LIGHTNING!]]
Jan and the Rescues' suspicions are right, of course: The ''[[Thunder Arrow]]'' is presently parked on a large asteroid in the belt, and the [[Dinoforce]] are draining energy from the various captured spaceships (although [[Kakuryu (G1)|Kakuryu]] finds the task a bit of a challenge). In a factory the villains have set up on the asteroid, Drillhorn puts the captive human crewmembers to work disassembling their ships for raw materials, which will be used, Deathsaurus explains, to create an "[[energy alloy]]".

[[Image:FierceBattleAsteroid Star Saber fake ship.jpg|right|thumb|200px]]
That night, the strange Autobot construction project is completed, and the Multiforce learn what it is: a large spaceship exo-skeleton that will disguise Star Saber, allowing him to investigate the Devil's Space Triangle without risk of being recognized by the Decepticons. Jan and Holi are suitably impressed, but they and Wingwaver do not like the idea of Star Saber going on the mission alone. Star Saber explains that he's willing to risk his own life if it means he can save the captive humans, and as dawn breaks, he links up with his camouflage mech and heads off into space. Jan is still worried, and even refuses to go to school so he can stay and monitor Star Saber's progress. Once Star Saber crosses into the asteroid belt, however, the Decepticons activate their disrupting smokescreen, cutting off communications. Jan attempts to contact Star Saber, but the other Autobots stop him, as doing so will blow his cover.

[[Image:FierceBattleAsteroid Leozack energy alloy.jpg|left|thumb|200px|I love moi brick!]]
In the asteroid belt, Star Saber is caught in a tractor beam and dragged down to the asteroid on which the ''Thunder Arrow'' is berthed. The Dinoforce investigate and find that the large "spaceship" is unmanned, and Leozack is suspicious of the fine Cybertronian-level craftsmanship. Thankfully, before he can examine Star Saber closely enough, Drillhorn arrives to tell him that the energy alloy is completed, and Leozack rushes off to tell Deathsaurus. While Drillhorn demonstrates the explosive power of the alloy for the Dinoforce, Star Saber quietly disconnects from his disguise to sneak around. Locating the captive humans, he beams a coded signal to the Shuttle Base, and the Brainmasters head for his location aboard the Galaxy Shuttle.

[[Image:FierceBattleAsteroid Laster prisoners.jpg|right|thumb|200px|No, really, I'm serious. You're free!]]
The need for deception over, Star Saber reveals himself to the Decepticons, and a battle erupts. Faced with such overwhelming numbers, Star Saber has the [[V-Star]] attack the ''Thunder Arrow'', putting the energy alloy at risk and dividing the Decepticons by forcing them to defend it. Just as Star Saber is being overwhelmed by the [[Breastforce|Breastforce's]] [[Breast Animal]]s, Galaxy Shuttle arrives with the Brainmasters and blasts the creatures away from him. Star Saber directs the Brainmasters to rescue the humans while he and the V-Star hold off the Breastforce and Dinoforce. When the Dinoforce are beaten and withdraw into the ''Thunder Arrow'', Deathsaurus is forced to pull the ''Thunder Arrow'' out, leaving the Breastforce to deal with Star Saber. Star Saber reconnects with the V-Star for extra power and sends the Breastforce spinning off into space with one mighty swing of his Saber Blade.

Back on Earth, the worried Jan is overjoyed when Star Saber contacts the base to let everyone know that he is okay. Jan professes that he wasn't even worried, earning him a solid thwap from Holi.
==Notes==
===Animation and technical errors===
* As Goryu watches Kakuryu prepare to ram the door to the ship, the former is drawn with a purple Autobot insignia.
* When Leozack presents Deathsaurus with the energy alloy, the close-up shot of his arms has them colored blue instead of green.
* When Deathsaurus laughs, instead of his chest rising and falling, as is the norm, his pectoral areas just rapidly inflate and deflate, which is a much more disturbing effect.
* Jan seems to be drawn about five years younger in this episode than he normally is.
* Everyone seem to have ''verrryyy'' small heads in this episode, which is a little unusual for Japanese animation.
* As Star Saber examines the work of the newly constructed shuttle, Wingwaver is missing from shot, and so are the Rescue Team.
* While everyone feels bad and sorry for the Supreme Commander as he's about to make his sacrifice, Blacker doesn't seem bothered in the slightest and tells them to get ready for the launch (perhaps he's remembered about Star Saber [[Blacker |demoting]] him ...).
* When Jan tries to contact Star Saber from the comforts of Shuttle base, he presses down a button which is bigger than a tv screen and begins broadcasting a message, Blacker orders him to stop and warns him that calling the Supreme Commander could jeopardize the stealth mission and presses the button to end the transmission, at this point, Blacker's fingertip is drawn larger than Jan, how ''small'' is Jan, or how '''BIG''' are all these Brainmasters!?
* Also, (in the scene as noted above↑) you should check out Holi's dumb expression as Blacker is talking to Jan, it's hilarious. -Even on Braver's ''"Once the Supreme Commander finds the enemy hideout ..."'' line, he still looks silly, only he's been ''zoomed out'' a ''lot''.

===Trivia===
* Ambient sound effects on the ''Spaceship 301'' are bridge sound effects from the original ''[[Star Trek]]'' series.
'''Braver, Laster and Wingwaver speed to the rescue of trapped human workers when the Decepticons take control of a uranium mine.'''

==Synopsis==
Somewhere in the [[Africa]]n savannah, the [[Decepticon]]s have landed the ''[[Thunder Arrow]]'' in readiness for their next energy-stealing operation. Instructed by [[Deathsaurus (G1)|Deathsaurus]] to attack the [[Neo Uranium Mine]] and steal Beta Uranium ore, the [[Breastforce]] and [[Dinoforce]] waste no time in carrying out their objective, and lay siege to the facility, capturing close to a hundred workers in the tunnels. Suddenly, figuring out what to get [[Sam (Victory)|his son]] for his [[birthday]] is the least of mine foreman [[Frank (Victory)|Frank]]'s worries, and he issues a distress call to the [[Autobot]]s.

[[File:Laster sonicdrill.jpg|left|thumb|This, on the other hand, '''is''' a drill.]]

At the [[Rocket Base|Shuttle Base]], the Autobot receive Frank's distress call, and [[Wingwaver]] is especially eager to get out there and teach the Decepticons a lesson. The [[Brainmaster]]s silence his enthusiasm by pointing out the danger of the hostage situation, and [[Laster]] and [[Braver]] quickly formulate a plan to build a sonic drill and burrow through the cave walls to surprise the villains from behind. Wingwaver is still up for the challenge, and volunteers to join the two Brainmasters, despite [[Blacker]] warning him that he might lose his life in the process.

A little later, on the other side of the mountainous region containing the mine, Braver and Wingwaver successfully break through the first rock wall with Laster's sonic drill. As they continue to drill their way through the mountain, Wingwaver gripes about how Blacker is constantly demeaning the Multiforce, but Laster informs Wingwaver that he simply doesn't understand Blacker's way. Soon, their progress is stymied by a wall of solid bedrock which the drill cannot penetrate, but Blacker suggests that the trio channel their own energy into the drill in an attempt to boost its power.

[[File:Victory uranium frank.jpg|right|thumb|What the hell? A '''useful''' human in a Japanese Transformers show?]]

Meanwhile, Frank discovers that the ventilation system for the mines has been damaged in the Decepticon attack, and the trapped workers in the tunnels are running the risk of asphyxiation. He determines to aid the Autobots in getting through the bedrock by bringing them some blasting explosives, but first he has to sneak by [[Leozack]] inside a mine car. When the Decepticon gets suspicious of the trundling cart, Frank nails him on the noggin with a mallet and escapes into the tunnels. He soon comes upon the Autobots and tells them of his plan to plant blasting charges on the other side of the bedrock, to detonate at the same time as they strike it with their drill and hopefully clear the way. Wingwaver is a little resistant to the idea of putting a human in harm's way, but Frank and the Brainmasters insist that it must be done. Frank squeezes into a narrow tunnel that leads him to the other side of the bedrock, and the plan proves a success when the drill and explosives combine to reduce the bedrock to fragments. Air rushes through the tunnels, allowing the captive workers to breathe easily again, but the explosion catches the attention of [[Drillhorn (G1)|Drillhorn]], who sticks his head in the hole... and gets shoulder-slammed by Laster. Drillhorn dispatches his [[Breast Animal]] to double-team Laster, but Braver bursts in with the sonic drill and blasts the beast out of the air. As the other Breastforce members join the fight, Wingwaver leads the workers to safety and radios the Shuttle Base to send [[Galaxy Shuttle]] to pick them up.

[[File:Victory dinopower.jpg|left|thumb|That's right, he CUTS his way out of this.]]
The shuttle soon arrives with the other Autobots in tow, and Frank tells [[Star Saber (G1)|Star Saber]] that the Dinoforce are busy pillaging Beta Uranium from the storehouses. Wingwaver is still raring to go, but Star Saber tells him to stay behind. Although Wingwaver is about to protest, Blacker compliments him on a job well done, and he is surprised and happy to hear the lieutenant commander refer to him by name for the first time, instead of just calling him "kid". Star Saber and Blacker move out to take on Leozack and the Dinoforce, and Star Saber uses the [[V-Star]] to shoot Leozack out of the sky. When the V-Star's power is turned on the Dinoforce, they combine into [[Dinoking]] and entrap Star Saber in a cocoon of "Dino Power" energy. With his mighty "Blade of Wrath" attack, however, Star Saber slices his way to freedom, and rains bolts of lightning down from the heavens upon Dinoking, who is impaled and split back into his component parts.

[[File:Victory uranium starsaber.jpg|right|thumb|If it's good enough for [[Wolverine (Marvel)|Wolverine]]...]]
While the defeated Decepticons flee back to the ''Thunder Arrow'' and listen to Deathsaurus rage impotently, Star Saber meets Frank's son, Sam. When the boy thanks him, Star Saber says that he should be thanking Sam, after his father's heroic efforts. Star Saber makes sure that all the Autobots understand that they only won the day by working together, both with each other and with the humans.

==Notes==
===Animation and technical errors===
* While speaking to Star Saber as the rescued workers board the Galaxy Shuttle, Wingwaver's face is white instead of yellow.
* During a couple of static shots of Laster and Braver facing off against the Decepticons in the mine, the character slide sideways in an apparent attempt to suggest a camera pan, however since the background doesn't move, it just looks like they're, well, sliding.
* The line Wingwaver says about Blacker saying his name for the first time is actually erroneous. In Sneak Attack! Dinoking, Blacker asked Wingwaver if his arm was alright, using ''his real name'' for the first time (and, realistically, he really ''was'' using his name for the first time), and what made things even worse (contradicting [[Explosion!! The Energy Base]]'s theme about Blacker always calling Wingwaver "kid"), is that Laster calls Wingwaver "Boya" (which technically translates to "kid") when he tells him to listen to The Lieutenant and follow orders. Making Blacker and Wingwaver's relationship a little strange and out of place come Explosion!! The Energy Base, as Blacker didn't call Wingwaver a "kid"... he called him Wingwaver.

===Real-world references===
[[File:Victory swingarhino.jpg|right|thumb|"Maaaaaaannnnnyyyy!" "It's okay Glottis, I'll get you down."]]

* As in "[[Move Out! Rescue Team]]", Kakuryu sings the refrain from "[[Cybertron Banzai]]", ''Victory''<nowiki>'</nowiki>s [[theme song|closing theme]].

===Transformers references===
*We first got a little hint of the fact that Wingwaver and Blacker aren't that keen on each other back in "[[Sneak Attack! Dinoking]]".

===Trivia===
*The mine caverns are enormous. There's enough room to swing a rhinoceros, or at least a Drillhorn.

===Foreign localization===
'''English'''
:*''Title:'' "'''Save the Mine'''" ([[Omni Productions]] dub)
:*''Original airdate:'' [[June 16]], [[1991]]
::* Frank puts out a general distress call instead of contacting the Autobots directly.
::* A time limit of ten minutes is put on how long it will take the people in the mine to suffocate.
::* Kakuryu's singing is changed to generic humming.
::* Frank gives a deadline of five minutes instead of ten before he'll set off the explosives. Presumably this change was made due to the earlier ten minute deadline on the miners running out of air.
::* The Autobots muse on the fact that the Decepticons are always lurking out there, rather than reflecting on the battle. Which makes the looks the Multiforce throw each other (after Blacker refers to them as kids in the original Japanese) look out of place.
==Notes==
===Animation and technical errors===
Making Blacker and Wingwaver's relationship a little strange and out of place come Explosion! The Energy Base, as Blacker didn't call Wingwaver a "kid"... he called him Wingwaver.
'''Braver, Laster and Wingwaver speed to the rescue of trapped human workers when the Decepticons take control of a uranium mine.'''

==Synopsis==
