Kickback was chatty during the fight, taunting Optimus and dropping dark hints of [[The Fallen|an ancient power]] to which even Megatron was subservient to. Prime was unprepared for his sonic charge weapon and was momentarily left disoriented. While Prime was on the defensive, [[William Lennox|Lennox]] was able to land a couple of good hits with his [[sabot]] missile launcher, including one that impacted the side of Kickback's head, setting it on fire. When his own self-repair mechanisms failed to put out the fire, Kickback took a more primitive approach and dunked his head in a pond. Injured and enraged, Kickback gave all his attention to squashing the human. Prime took the opportunity to jump him, dicing him up with his longsword.
