:The Seekers are a type of Transformer from the Revenge of the Fallen portion of the live-action film continuity family.

The Seekers were among the first Transformers, characterized by their ability to traverse space. They were tasked with finding stars by the Dynasty of Primes to feed the AllSpark.

Known Seekers include
*Jetfire
*Ransack
*Fortress
IDW movie comics
Jetfire was one of the first Seekers, searching for stars under the command of The Fallen millions of years ago. Defiance issue 4 He turned his back on the cause when The Fallen deliberately tried to destroy the sun despite knowing of the existence of life on Earth. Tales of the Fallen issue 3 Following The Fallen's defeat, he left a number of his loyal Seekers, including Fortress, on Earth to search for the Tomb of the Primes. Having little success over the years, these Seekers grew bored and frustrated, and began competing and fighting amongst themselves over the smallest clue to the Tomb's location. One such battle between Fortress and an unnamed truck Seeker in 1929 led to the deaths of Carter Newell's parents, sowing the seeds of the Initiative. Nefarious issue 6

Titan Magazines Revenge of the Fallen comic
Ransack, agent of the Fallen, called himself a Seeker. He also referred to Seekers as being a whole different and separate form of life, but in the context he's likely just talking smack. Transformers Comic issue 2.2

Later, Soundwave sent Grindor to find an old, rusting car. A car Soundwave referred to as one of "the lost", a redundant shell containing ancient knowledge. When Grindor cut it open, he retrieved a Cybertronian-looking "memory tree" from the innards. Hmmmm... Transformers Comic issue 2.3

Soundwave later had Ransack captured, wanting to know the information the Seeker had. Transformers Comic issue 2.7

After the Fallen's destruction, William Lennox and his NEST team were spread thin trying to locate all the remaining Seekers. Transformers Comic issue 2.10

Revenge of the Fallen film
Wheelie identified photos of a Ford Model T automobile, a 4-6-4 Hudson steam engine, a B-24 Liberator bomber, an F-104 Starfighter interceptor, and an SR-71 Blackbird as depicting Seekers. Simmons had spent some time in Sector 7 begging to investigate the evidence that these were N.B.E.s, but was denied and told he was being "obsessed". Really? Simmons, obsessed? Can't be. Sam, Simmons, Mikaela, Leo, Skids, and Mudflap located Jetfire who was able to translate a clue from the Allspark knowledge in Sam's head that led to the Tomb of the Primes and teleported them to Egypt through a space bridge. He later appeared to help during the final battle, sacrificing himself to give Optimus Prime the power to defeat the Fallen. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (film) Jetfire identified Ransack as being a seeker a short time after stomping him to death. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (novel)

Notes
* Centuries later, the term Seeker would be used to describe a crack team under the command of Starscream.
* Ben Procter designed a robot mode for the Ford Model T automobile that was used as the basis of Ransack's.
