In order to fight the [[Autobot]]s more effectively on the ground, the [[Decepticon]]s built a [[Combiner|combiner team]] that could convert into cars. However, in order to give these [[Stunticon (G1)|Stunticons]] life, [[Megatron (G1)/Generation 1 cartoon continuity|Megatron]] had to take them to [[Vector Sigma]], a megacomputer deep within [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]]. Vector Sigma could only be activated with a [[Key to Vector Sigma|circuit key]], which was in the hands of the ancient Autobot [[Alpha Trion (G1)|Alpha Trion]]. Megatron stole the Key and succeeded in giving life to the new team. A group of Autobots had been following Megatron, and, to counter the Stunticons, they rebuilt some old, abandoned shuttles into the Aerialbots. However, without the Key, they couldn't activate Vector Sigma. Alpha Trion then revealed that, as one of the first Transformers created, he had the ability to interface his power supply with the megacomputer. Against [[Optimus Prime (G1)/Generation 1 cartoon continuity|Optimus Prime]]'s protests, he merged with Vector Sigma, activating it, and his lifeless body fell to the ground. Prime asked Vector Sigma to "Let [the Aerialbots] think for themselves, to grow in knowledge and wisdom, and let them always value freedom and life wherever they find it." After the Aerialbots were programmed, Alpha Trion's voice came from the megacomputer; his mind had merged with Vector Sigma.

Once on [[Earth]], the Aerialbots fought a brief battle with the Stunticons that ended when Megatron sent a message to his car warriors to return to base. Thinking that the Stunticons had retreated, the Aerialbots' egos soared; all, that is, except [[Silverbolt (G1)|Silverbolt]]'s. During the fight, he had discovered his fear of heights, which he guessed came from the fact that he was built from a low-altitude cargo shuttle. Prime helped him deal with the phobia by naming him Aerialbot Leader, thus giving him duties that would keep his mind off of his fear. However, he found his position a hard one to fill. The other Aerialbots, especially [[Slingshot (G1)|Slingshot]], saw themselves as better than anyone else. They couldn't understand why the Autobots wasted their time protecting the foolish and inferior humans, and they eventually left the Autobots. Silverbolt, who didn't agree, merely promised Prime he would bring them back, then left with them. After a while, Silverbolt finally convinced them that they owed the Autobots their lives, and they decided to stay with the Autobot army.

Meanwhile, Megatron had discovered that the Key could "de-energize" Earthen matter, turning it to metal. Hoping to create a new Cybertron, he began sweeping through forests near the [[Seattle|Seattle-Tacoma area]], turning everything from trees to mountains into metal. The Autobots tried to stop him, but the Stunticons were unstoppable... that is, until the Aerialbots arrived. The two teams formed their gestalt modes, and, as the battle entered the outskirts of a city, [[Omega Supreme (G1)|Omega Supreme]] arrived and turned the tide. Megatron retreated, but he still had the Key. Silverbolt, braving his phobia, chased him down and destroyed it. {{storylink|The Key to Vector Sigma, Part 2}}

A few weeks later, strange energy readings were detected on Cybertron. A team of Autobots and the Aerialbots left to investigate. The Aerialbots, enamored with Cybertron, were on a patrol when they were attacked by three Decepticon jets. Curious, Slingshot surrendered and began to ask the Decepticons questions, like why Prime thought they were evil. All the other Aerialbots except Silverbolt did the same, and Silverbolt followed at a distance. [[Starscream (G1)/Generation 1 cartoon continuity|Starscream]], feigning friendship, led the naive team into the [[Kronosphere]], a time machine that had been generating the unusual energy readings. As Silverbolt arrived, trying to convince his teammates that they were in a trap, Megatron activated the Kronosphere, intending to send them back to before the beginning of time. Outside of the timestream, they would be trapped in eternal nothingness. However, the other Autobots arrived and destroyed the machine before it could finish its work. The Aerialbots had been sent only nine million years into the past, during the [[Golden Age|Golden Age of Cybertron]] before the [[Great War (G1)|Great War]] had broken out.

In the past, the Aerialbots met a young Transformer named [[Optimus Prime (G1)/Generation 1 cartoon continuity|Orion Pax]], who was working at an energy shipment facility. As they got to know each other, Orion soon told them about his admiration of a "new kind" of Transformer that had the ability to fly in [[robot mode]]. He was understandably awestruck when the leader of those robots, Megatron, arrived at his workplace under the guise of friendship. After Orion gave him a brief tour, Megatron ordered his disguised troops to attack the facility and take the energon. During the assault, Orion, his girlfriend [[Elita One (G1)|Ariel]], and his friend [[Dion (G1)|Dion]] were severely injured. The Aerialbots arrived at the scene just as Megatron was leaving. They took Orion to the young Alpha Trion, who was devising ways to fight the Decepticons. He rebuilt Orion into the first of a new breed that would be capable of standing against Megatron. He also gave him a new name: Optimus Prime.

Prime inflicted severe damage on the Decepticon forces, but Megatron was still powerful. His raiders were starting to loot a fuel transfer center that would supply him with enough [[energon]] to win the war just as it was beginning. The Aerialbots realized this, and they set up explosives to destroy the energon. However, while they were inside, the Decepticons surrounded the facility, preventing their escape. Now fully aware of Megatron's evil, they set off the charges despite the danger to themselves. Just as the energon detonated, they found themselves being transported back to the present. When they arrived, they saw that the Autobots had repaired the Kronosphere but were fighting the Decepticons and a reanimated [[Guardian robot]]. The Aerialbots combined into Superion and destroyed the Guardian, and Megatron retreated. As the Decepticons flew away, Slingshot swore: "You'll never get away from us, Megatron! Since that time, the Aerialbots have been invaluable to the Earth-bound (and largely flightless) Autobots. When Megatron obtained the ultra-powerful [[Lightning Bug]] from the ruins of an ancient Autobot colony, it was Superion who eventually destroyed the weapon (after having defeated [[Menasor (G1)|Menasor]]). {{storylink|Cosmic Rust (episode)|Cosmic Rust}}

Later, Slingshot and Skydive went undercover at a Middle Eastern airbase to investigate a rash of jet thefts. Late one night, men in laundry trucks began disassembling them and several other jets, carting their components to a car repair shop. There, the parts were jury-rigged into bizarre-looking cars and driven across the border to Megatron's secret base. The planes were then reassembled and used by the Decepticons as a remote-controlled drone armada. With the help of [[Jumal|Hassan]], a young human who was also investigating the smugglers, Slingshot and Skydive were rebuilt without being detected. The other Aerialbots soon arrived and began battling the drones, the [[Combaticon (G1)|Combaticons]], and Megatron's [[Giant Purple Griffin|sphinx-like airborne fortress]]. As Superion, they beat the Combaticons' gestalt mode [[Bruticus (G1)|Bruticus]] and destroyed the fortress by blowing up an oil well. After the Decepticons retreated, the Autobots discovered that [[Ali (Sunbow)|Ali]], the head of the smuggling operation, had become the ruler of his country by allying himself with Megatron and overthrowing a certain Prince Jumal. Megatron was going to use Ali's drone jets to take over the Middle Eastern oil fields, thus supplying himself with enough energy to conquer the world... and giving Ali a fair share of domination, of course. It was also revealed that the Aerialbots' friend Hassan was actually the deposed Prince Jumal in disguise. {{storylink|Aerial Assault}}

For many years, the Aerialbots remained a valuable asset to the Autobot cause. When [[Hot Rod (G1)/Generation 1 cartoon continuity|Rodimus Prime]] and several other Autobots were trapped on [[Quintessa (planet)|Quintessa]], the Aerialbots arrived in a rescue craft and saved them, just as the planet self-destructed. However, the force of the explosion destroyed their ship, and they hurtled helplessly through space until colliding with [[Goo 8739-B]]. There, they fought a giant trash-collecting machine and (later) Decepticon warriors before escaping with the help of the [[Junkion (species)|Junkion]] [[Wreck-Gar (G1)|Wreck-Gar]]. {{storylink|Five Faces of Darkness, Part 3}}

Some time later, the Aerialbots were dispatched as part of a reinforcement team to help a group of Autobots who had discovered a [[Quintesson]] base on a large asteroid near Cybertron. The Aerialbots arrived and drove the Quintessons away, finding [[Perceptor (G1)|Perceptor]] heavily damaged and half-conscious. Before blacking out, Perceptor told them that the team had discovered a Quint time machine. Under attack with virtually no hope of escape, the other team members had jumped through the [[Time Window]] just moments before their would-be rescuers arrived. Now, the reinforcement team (led by Rodimus Prime) could do nothing but keep the time machine activated and hope that their comrades would come back through. The Autobots also made another discovery at the Quint base: the Quintessons had used the time machine to extract from the distant past an Autobot named A-3. As Rodimus and A-3 began to converse, the Quintessons returned in force, and a battle ensued. During the battle, chronal energies emanating from the time machine were playing havoc with the nature of space-time. Events were occurring that defied normal linear time, such as endlessly repeating loops and sudden reversals of the timestream. Superion was holding A-3, protecting him from the Quint attacks, when suddenly the ancient robot became Alpha Trion. He told Superion, "You must live, that I may be born," then reverted to A-3. Then things really got bizarre when a second Superion appeared out of nowhere and began attacking the Quintessons. The two gestalts proved to be too much for the Quintessons, who retreated. After they left, the second Superion vanished. Later, the Quintessons sent the Autobots a holographic message explaining that the time distortions were the result of the activated time machine, and that it had to be destroyed before the space-time continuum was completely unraveled. A-3 volunteered to go back through the window and find the missing Autobots, which he did. Upon their return to 2006, the window was destroyed, and everything appeared to return to normal. The time-traveling Autobots had participated in the first rebellion against the Quintessons 11 million years ago, and that battle was won when A-3 returned through the window and used a secret weapon. {{storylink|Forever Is a Long Time Coming (episode)|Forever Is a Long Time Coming}}

Later, the Aerialbots returned to the Middle East, this time to fight in the African desert nation of [[Socialist Democratic Federated Republic of Carbombya|Carbombya]]. The conniving Decepticon [[Octane]] had convinced [[Abdul Fakkadi (G1)|Abdul Fakkadi]], the ruler of the country, to allow the heavily damaged [[Trypticon (G1)|Trypticon]] to recuperate there, using the super-rich Carbombyan oil as a fuel source. Octane sought to use the power of the oil and the strength of Trypticon to overthrow [[Galvatron (G1)/Generation 1 cartoon continuity|Galvatron]] and become leader of the Decepticons. Meanwhile, in order to justify the giant Decepticon's oil consumption, Octane ordered Trypticon to steal famous monuments (including Fort Knox and all of its gold) and place them in Carbombya. The money gleaned from these tourist attractions would make up for the loss of natural resources. But the Autobots soon deduced Trypticon's location, and the Aerialbots were sent to attack. However, their timing was terrible—Galvatron and the main Decepticon army had just arrived in the country to investigate the situation, and the Aerialbots found themselves badly outclassed. They retreated, and Galvatron took over Carbombya, imprisoning Fakkadi. Later, the Aerialbots returned with reinforcements (including the behemoth [[Metroplex (G1)|Metroplex]]). They won that battle, driving the Decepticons out of the nation and freeing Fakkadi. Ecstatically grateful for the Autobots' help, Fakkadi swore never to associate with the Decepticons again. {{storylink|Thief in the Night}}

The Aerialbots later traveled to an Earth-like world inhabited by humanoids who could produce the [[harmony]], a manipulation of sound that could be used as either a miraculous healing power or an incredibly destructive force. Naturally, Galvatron sought to possess the harmony, and the Aerialbots were among the Autobots who tried to stop him. {{storylink|Carnage in C-Minor}}

Some time after that incident, the Aerialbots met up once again with Trypticon. Trypticon blasted Air Raid with his powerful fire-breath, but, while the Decepticon dinosaur was recharging, Silverbolt was able to fly into his mouth and inflict heavy damage that disabled him for a brief period of time. {{storylink|The Ultimate Weapon}}

Their next assignment was to investigate the Junkions, who had inexplicably attacked the Autobot [[Sky Lynx (G1)|Sky Lynx]]. When they arrived at the junk planet, they found a Quintesson ship in orbit, so they merged into Superion and attacked. Superion inflicted damage on the ship, but he was also heavily injured. Unbeknownst to the Aerialbots, the Quintessons had been using subliminal messages to induce xenophobic hatred in the television-obsessed Junkions. However, Superion's attack had damaged the Quintessons' transmitter, and the subliminal message turned from "All other life forms are your enemies" to "To care is to share; to share is to care." The brainwashed Junkions blindly obliged, using their own omnidirectional broadcaster to share the original message of hatred with the rest of the galaxy. The Autobots soon stopped the messages and thereby ended the wars, but the Aerialbots' next major appearance heralded another galactic conflict. They were part of an Autobot team sent to a human laboratory where the late Optimus Prime's body was supposedly stored. The body was there, but it was a trap set by a vengeful scientist to infect the Transformers with the [[Hate Plague]], highly contagious spores that cause maniacal hatred and violence. The Aerialbots were among the first to be infected, and in their subsequent rampage, they gravely injured several Autobots (including [[Bumblebee (G1)/Generation 1 cartoon continuity|Bumblebee]]) and passed the disease to many more. The damaged Autobots were later repaired, and Bumblebee was completely rebuilt into a new form, Goldbug. With their help, the reanimated Optimus Prime was able to cure the Plague by emptying the Matrix. {{storylink|The Return of Optimus Prime, Part 1}}

Unfortunately, they were in [[stasis lock]], and only an energon infusion from the Aerialbots was able to revive them. The Aerialbots were dispatched from the [[Metroplex (G1)|Scramble City]] project by [[Ultra Magnus (G1)/Generation 1 cartoon continuity|Ultra Magnus]] to aid Optimus Prime in battle with the [[Seeker (body-type)|Seekers]] and [[Devastator (G1)|Devastator]]. Their aerial firepower frankly overwhelmed the marauding Decepticons, and sent them home with their transistors between their struts. On his second attempt, Megatron sent the Stunticons, who were considerably more successful in engaging the Autobots. Damaged in [[alternate mode|jet mode]]s, the Aerialbots chose instead to merge and form Superion. As Superion, they possessed scramble combining abilities, but so did the Stunticons when they formed Menasor. The Aerialbots were in the midst of reconfiguring their limb formation when Fireflight, being... well, a daydreaming idiot, mixed up whether he was supposed to be the right leg or the left. His indecision gave Menasor time to shoot him down, and [[Wildrider (G1)|Wildrider]] assumed the place of Superion's right leg instead, corrupting his programming. Abashed by his boner, Fireflight teamed up with Optimus Prime to assault Menasor, and retook his place as Superion's limb. {{storylink|Scramble City: Mobilization}}

The Aerialbots were stationed on Earth when Galvatron attacked Cybertron with his new [[Headmaster (technology)|Headmaster]] warriors. They were summoned to the [[space bridge]] with Ultra Magnus, and transported to Cybertron along with the Trainbots and several additional warriors. As Superion, they battled the Decepticon combiner [[Abominus (G1)|Abominus]]. [[Devastator (G1)|Devastator]] nearly shot them in the back, but Optimus Prime used a flying jump kick to spoil his aim, and the shot struck Abominus instead. {{storylink|Four Warriors Come out of the Sky}} Later, Superion, Defensor and [[Raiden]] were being overrun by four Decepticon combiners until the [[Fortress Maximus (G1)|Battleship Maximus]] intervened, scattering the 'Cons like flies. As [[Hot Rod (G1)/Generation 1 cartoon continuity|Hot Rod]] began his mission on Earth to find the Matrix of Leadership, the Aerialbots transported back to that planet to keep the Decepticons from interfering. They confronted the Stunticons in the desert and started a fierce battle. Superion was unable to stop Menasor from reaching Hot Rod in the Arctic, but he did keep the Decepticons too busy to intervene on the mission too badly. {{storylink|The Mystery of Planet Master}}

After Blaster was rebuilt as Twincast, the Aerialbots and the [[Triple Changer]]s distracted the Decepticons long enough for Twincast to sneak inside Trypticon and gather data on the [[Madmachine]]. {{storylink|The Great Cassette Operation}} Sometime later, the Aerialbots were on a research vessel that passed near a [[Metamorphose|strange meteorite]]. The meteorite had been altered by Galvatron to produce magnetic warping waves whenever it detected metal, and so it send the Aerialbots and their ship twisting through space. Although the Decepticons tried to intervene, the Autobots eventually recovered Silverbolt and his injured men. {{storylink|Approach of the Demon Meteorite}}

Following a lengthy repair cycle, the Aerialbots were ready for action when Galvatron and the Decepticons laid siege to Cybertron one last time. Transporting to Cybertron from Earth, they raced into battle (on foot, for some reason). The Aerialbots got the drop on the Stunticons when they merged into Superion, smashing and scattering the 'Cons before they could form Menasor. {{storylink|Cybertron Is in Grave Danger, Part 1}} As the fighting continued, the Aerialbots battled Abominus as Superion and later separated to trade blaster fire with the Stunticons. The warring only came to an end once [[Scorponok (G1)|Scorponok]]'s bombs blew up [[Vector Sigma]] and annihilated the planet. {{storylink|Cybertron Is in Grave Danger, Part 2}}

Silverbolt was operating at Autobot City when a volcano erupted in [[Peru]]. He begged Ultra Magnus to send him team in, but Magnus couldn't spare the extra troops. {{storylink|The Dormant Volcano Mysteriously Erupts}} When a giant carnivorous plant attacked San Francisco, Ultra Magnus dispatched Silverbolt and the Aerialbots to combat it. Although they made frequent bombing runs on the organism, the Aerialbots were unable to stop it. Only the arrival of [[Fortress Maximus (G1)|Fortress]] and his powerful giant [[transtector]] brought an end to the creature's rampage. {{storylink|Head On!! Fortress Maximus}}

The Aerialbots were part of a strike team who traveled to the [[Moon (moon)|moon]] to attack the Decepticons during Scorponok's leadership rally. They immediately assembled into Superion after launching out of the robot train. The tide turned against the Autobots when Galvatron arrived and galvanized his troops to strike back. When one of Scorponok's Death Towers emerged in Washington D.C., the Aerialbots were dispatched to investigate it. In their combined form as Superion, the Aerialbots participated in the Autobots' final battle with Scorponok's Decepticons at the North Pole. The Aerialbots were created to bolster the [[Earth]]-bound [[Autobot]]s' depleted forces, counter the [[Decepticon]]s' aerial superiority, and utilize the [[combiner]] technology that [[Bumblebee (G1)/Marvel Comics continuity|Bumblebee]] had stolen from the Decepticons. Their first mission came suddenly when a crisis arose at [[Hoover Dam]]. An employee armed with a super-powerful handgun had taken over the control room and ordered that the dam be shut down. [[Optimus Prime (G1)/Marvel Comics continuity|Optimus Prime]] suspected [[Megatron (G1)/Marvel Comics continuity|Megatron]]'s involvement, but the only Autobots who could reach the dam fast enough were the newly constructed Aerialbots. Although [[Wheeljack (G1)|Wheeljack]] had completed their bodies, [[Silverbolt (G1)|Silverbolt]] was the only one whose personality had been fully programmed. Feeling he had no choice, Prime sent them anyway.

Arriving at the dam, they found that it had, indeed, been shut down, and where water used to fall there now hovered a [[space bridge]]. Sitting on the bridge was a giant drilling machine that was slowly boring through the dam. From the machine, a huge pipe led back to [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]]. The Decepticons' plan was apparent: The water that would normally flow over the dam would be piped to Cybertron, where technologically advanced turbines would generate huge amounts of power. As the Aerialbots began to assault the drill, they were intercepted by [[Dirge (G1)|Dirge]], [[Ramjet (G1)|Ramjet]], and [[Thrust (G1)|Thrust]], who had just arrived from Cybertron. During the fight, Silverbolt briefly succumbed to his fear of heights, but he recovered by putting his team's safety before his own. The battle was soon joined by the [[Insecticon (G1)|Insecticons]] (also new arrivals from Cybertron), but the Aerialbots still managed to win the fight. The drill, however, was impervious to individual attacks, so the Aerialbots combined into [[Superion (G1)|Superion]] and began to destroy it. Suddenly, the human who had started the whole mess (under [[Bombshell (G1)|Bombshell]]'s mind control) appeared atop the dam and pointed Megatron's gun mode at the Autobot gestalt. As Megatron hurled threats, Superion reached over to crush him. The human, [[Ricky Vasquez]], began to think of his daughter, and Bombshell's control weakened. At the same time, Superion was having a mental crisis of his own: Silverbolt, the only fully programmed Aerialbot, was the only one who had any respect for human life, and he tried desperately to override the other Aerialbots and stop the gestalt from crushing Ricky. Realizing that he couldn't succeed, he forced his team to disassemble. Meanwhile, Ricky managed to fight the Decepticon mind control just enough to shoot the drill instead of the Aerialbots. However, the tiny Bombshell was able to sneak into the Ark with the Aerialbots, and he secretly injected a mind-controlling [[cerebro-shell]] into Optimus Prime. However, the shell malfunctioned, and the Insecticon could only read Prime's thoughts, not control them. Megatron still used this to his advantage, for when Prime used the [[Matrix of Leadership|Creation Matrix]] to give life to more robots, Megatron could secretly access its power and do the same. This occurred when Prime reprogrammed the Aerialbots. Because of their poor performance at Hoover Dam, Optimus had had the team's minds completely wiped and re-created. During the process of re-creation, Matrix power was channeled from the cerebro-shell to [[Soundwave (G1)/Marvel Comics continuity|Soundwave]], then to Megatron (via an artificial communications hook-up), and from him into the lifeless [[Stunticon (G1)|Stunticons]]. This five-member Decepticon team could transform into Earthly cars, and thus humans would easily confuse them with the Autobots.

The Stunticons began to wreak havoc on a highway, and their attack was not a random one; they were targeting the Autobot [[Skids (G1)|Skids]], who, along with the human [[Donny Finkleberg]], was searching for a group of Cybertronian Autobots that had been accidentally transported to Earth. As the Stunticons neared Skids, Donny ran off to safety. At that moment, a [[Rapid Anti-robot Assault Team|RAAT]] team led by [[Circuit Breaker (G1)|Circuit Breaker]] attacked the Decepticons but was somewhat ineffectual. The Stunticons surrounded Skids, who saw the helplessness of his situation and didn't fight back. Then the Aerialbots appeared and began firing at the Stunticons, who pretended to be protecting Skids. Circuit Breaker saw the destructive Stunticons appear to protect the supposed "good guy" Skids, and this further cemented her belief that all robots are evil. After the two Transformer teams merged into their gestalt modes, Circuit Breaker slipped into the fight and blasted Superion with all the energy her suit could provide. This stunned the giant Autobot long enough for the Stunticon gestalt, [[Menasor (G1)|Menasor]], to deal a debilitating blow with his cyclone gun. The Stunticons withdrew, and the deactivated Superion was taken to RAAT headquarters and disassembled for study. Several other captured Autobots (incidentally, the same ones Skids and Donny had been looking for) were in similar states of dissection when RAAT again moved into the offensive, this time against the two Decepticon [[Battlecharger]]s. In the heat of the battle, Circuit Breaker unintentionally endangered the lives of civilians (and lost the fight anyway). Because of her poor judgment, she was forbidden to participate in any more assaults on the Battlechargers. Itching for revenge on the two Decepticons, she found that her only possible allies were the disassembled Autobots in her lab. It would have taken too long to repair their bodies properly and reconnect their brains, but she knew she could jury-rig them together into [[Circuit Breaker's Autobot suit|a form that she could control]]. However, she would not be able to subdue them completely, so she struck a deal: If they would obey her commands, then she would let them go after she had had her revenge on the Battlechargers. And that is just what happened. Unfortunately for her, releasing the Autobots got her fired from RAAT. {{storylink|Decepticon Graffiti!}}

Immediately after Ratchet finished repairing the damage inflicted by Circuit Breaker's studies and jury-rigging, the Aerialbots were sent on a new mission: Bumblebee had spotted Bombshell at the grand unveiling of [[Power Station Alpha]], an advanced, mobile nuclear power facility. Sent to assist Bumblebee, the Aerialbots arrived to find their ally in pieces. The anti-terrorist team [[G.I. Joe (team)|G.I. Joe]] had been guarding the station, and, mistaking Bumblebee for a threat, they had destroyed him. The Aerialbots combined into Superion and briefly battled the humans. {{storylink|Blood on the Tracks}} The fight was cut short by a radio message from [[Blaster (G1)|Blaster]], who informed Superion that Optimus Prime was dead and that all Autobots were to return to the Ark. The Aerialbots did just that, leaving Bumblebee's wreckage (and some confused G.I. Joes) behind. {{storylink|Power Struggle}}

Later, the Decepticons stole Power Station Alpha and began to use it in a plan that would, if enacted, ultimately destroy the Earth. After clearing up some misunderstandings, an alliance was formed between the Autobots, G.I. Joe, and (recognizing the mutual threat) the terrorist organization called [[Cobra]]. While a team of humans sneak-attacked the station, the Aerialbots participated in a diversionary strike on the Decepticons' island base. As human jets battled the Decepticons' air armada, Superion fought an aerial battle with Devastator, the [[Constructicon (G1)|Constructicon]] combiner. Just as Superion defeated his foe, Alpha was destroyed. The beaten Decepticons retreated, and the Autobot-Joe-Cobra alliance dispersed. {{storylink|...All Fall Down!}}

After this point, the Aerialbots faded out of the spotlight. Their next notable appearance was during [[Buster Witwicky (G1)|Buster Witwicky]]'s Decepticon captivity. Wanting the awesome power of the mysterious, spaceborne [[Underbase]] for himself, [[Starscream (G1)/Marvel Comics continuity|Starscream]] used Buster as bait to lure the Autobots into a massive battle with the Decepticons. He would use the confusion to sneak off and find the Underbase before anyone else could. Three Aerialbots (Air Raid, Fireflight, and Skydive) were the Advance Security Patrol that found Buster freezing in the Arctic. After the other Autobots arrived, the battle ensued. However, the combatants soon deduced Starscream's plan, and they forged a shaky alliance to stop him. When they found him, they were able to stop him from absorbing all but a small fraction of the Underbase's power...but that was enough to make him virtually invincible. In a show of force, he sought to destroy three major Earth cities. The Aerialbots were easily eliminated while defending [[New York City]]. {{storylink|Dark Star}}

Although Starscream was eventually destroyed, the severe microchip damage he inflicted on his victims kept them in deactivation for a very long time. Although the technology to repair them did exist, the Autobots didn't have it on the Ark. The Aerialbots and many others were not revived until [[Grimlock (G1)/Marvel Comics continuity|Grimlock]] found a miracle fuel called [[Nucleon (substance)|Nucleon]], and they awoke just in time to fight the demi-god [[Unicron]]. {{storylink|On the Edge of Extinction!}} After Unicron's destruction, the Decepticons left Cybertron to conquer other worlds. The new Superion soon proved himself more than a match for [[Menasor (G1)|Menasor]] and defeated him, earning him the praise and admiration of the Camiens. {{storylink|The Sum and Its Parts}} Superion was needed when Prowl's Devastator returned and tried to destroy the burgeoning alliance between Cybertron and Caminus. While Superion's Enigma-granted abilities made him an agile warrior, Devastator's brute strength was able to overcome it and Superion had to team up with the newly created [[Defensor (G1)|Defensor]] to stop Devastator. {{storylink|Mistakes and Mayhem}}

In the aftermath, Starscream stationed Superion and Defensor on Caminus, guarding the vital space bridge to Cybertron. Much to Optimus Prime's concern, Superion had not separated himself since his first fight with Menasor; Prowl commented that for all intents and purposes Superion ''was'' the new default form for the Aerialbots. The two combiners were later a topic that Optimus and Prowl discussed with the latter highlighting that both would undoubtably side with Optimus over Starscream, scaring the Seeker into getting a combiner of his own. When Menasor and Devastator came to blows, the Autobot combiners joined the fight, the duel taking them to [[Mystery colony planet|an alien planet]] where [[Optimus Maximus (G1)|Optimus Maximus]] made himself known. {{storylink|You, Me, and the Universe}}

When Optimus Maximus faltered, Superior and Defensor quickly rushed to their leader's defence before he stabilized. The brawl carried the quintet of combiners across the various [[Cybertronian colonies]] before the Autobots literally ripped Devastator apart. When Decepticons raided the space bridge chamber, Optimus Prime summoned Superion for crowd control. Superion and the Autobots engaged the Decepticon invaders, but Galvatron's forces were mostly conquered by the [[mindbomb]] effect controlled by [[Earth Defense Command]]. Prime's aide [[Aileron]] retrieved his ''[[Skyroller]]'' from Cybertron, and the Autobots loaded aboard, taking the Space Bridge with them as they fled. Superion subsequently accompanied the combined Autobot/Decepticon strikeforce as they moved on Galvatron's underwater base in the [[Indian Ocean]]. While Superion initially held up well against the onslaught of [[Seeker clone]]s, tag-teaming them alongside [[Victorion]], the two combiners were unprepared for Galvatron's ace in the hole: thanks to the machinations of G.B. Blackrock and his [[Onyx]] software, Galvatron had hijacked the Enigma of Combination and spread its powers across the Earth. Superion was thus caught by surprise when Galvatron began mish-mashing the combatants together, creating a combiner of his own in the form of [[Galvatronus (CW)|Galvatronus]]. Galvatron then tried to turn the Enigma's power on Superion—however, Superion had ''not'' been created through the energies of the Enigma, allowing him to fend off the mental assault and stay together. As the other Autobots watched, Superion struggled to deactivate the Engima's adaptive code before coming up with a solution; by overwriting part of the source code into his own cortex, he could harness the Enigma's energies for his own, using it to force the other comibners to separate at he cost of losing control of his [[Size changing|mass displacement]], temporarily growing even larger and using his super-size to smash the ''Nemesis'' apart.

The threat vanquished, Superion separated; by de-combining, Superion had deactivated a vital part of the source code and nullified the power of the Earth-Enigma... so long as he never re-formed. When [[Perceptor (G1)/Generation 1 cartoon continuity|Perceptor]] was abducted for his scientific expertise, he determined that the heat from the Lightning Bug was accelerating the spread of the disease. After Megatron refused to destroy the weapon, Perceptor correctly theorized that [[corrostop]] could cure the disease. After claiming the chemical, Megatron infected Perceptor with the disease and sent him back to the Autobots, using the Lightning Bug to quickly enhance the spread before he settled in to sadistically watch his foes crumble.

When the reprieve allowed the Autobots to find a way to produce more corrostop after harvesting some from the [[Statue of Liberty]], Megatron ordered the Decepticons to destroy the Statue, giving the Lightning Bug to [[Menasor (G1)|Menasor]]. When Menasor prepared to turn the Lighting Bug on the infected Autobots, the arrival of the uninfected [[Aerialbot (G1)|Aerialbots]] caused him to drop the weapon. The '''Necroworld''' is the holo-cemetery planet tended to by the legendary character known as the [[Mortilus|Necrobot]]. He transformed the blasted world into a beautiful garden, filled with holographic statues of every living Cybertronian, which he would switch off when the Cybertronian died. Around the bases of the statues, he planted blue flowers crafted from the residual spark energy of whoever the statue's real-life counterpart was responsible for killing. It is also where "the fortress", the Necrobot's base of operations, can be found.

From space, the planet appears to have two unnamed moons. One, much larger than the other, has its own rings.

After fleeing [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]] following the [[God War]], [[Adaptus]] used the [[Warren]] to escape to the [[Benzene Cluster]] in [[2018]] where he bore witness to a giant robot laying waste to the region. Fleeing back to his own time, he began making plans to counter this threat in his future. Recalling the legend of the [[God Gun]], Adaptus reasoned multiple copies of Cybertron would produce an exponentially more powerful laser. To that end, he constructed a hollow "negative" mold of Cybertron, using it to produce five duplicates of his homeworld. Once the copies had been completed, and transported to the right time and place via the Warren, Adaptus abandoned the mold. {{storylink|Crucible (Part 3): Farsickness|Farsickness}}

One way or another, the mould became known to [[Tusk]] who remembered it as a "scorched and forgotten" planet. Sometime following the [[First Cybertronian Civil War]], the abandoned mould was sought out and discovered by Censere who would claim it as his base of operations in his personal mission as "the Necrobot." {{storylink|The Not Knowing}}

The Necrobot's fortress was filled with advanced quantum technology that would let him accurately keep track of the fates of all Cybertronians. It wasn't totally foolproof. In situations where one's death couldn't be confirmed, he would record their name upon a monolith labelled "In Honor of the [[Disappeared]]."

During the [[Great War (G1)|Great War]], the [[Decepticon Justice Division]] discovered the planet by complete accident. Since the Necrobot was a neutral party, they ignored him, though [[Dominus Ambus|Agent 113]] attempted to pass the place's coordinates to the [[Autobot]]s by his usual method.

Years later, the crew of the ''[[Lost Light]]'' finally dug his bullet out of Swerve's shoulder. It had degraded severely by then, but the coordinates remained intact. With the location in hand, the ''Lost Light'' made a detour at the Necroworld to find out what happened to [[Dominus Ambus]], amongst other things. {{storylink|The Not Knowing}} Their visit inspired the Necrobot to use their discarded [[time case]] to go down the monolith's list of names and bring every 'missing' person to the future to be safe, thus being the ''reason'' many went MIA. {{storylink|The Dying of the Light Part 6: Do Not Go Gentle|Do Not Go Gentle}}

By the time Censere was halfway through the Disappeared, the D.J.D. returned, collaborating with [[Deathsaurus (Victory)|Deathsaurus]] in order to set a trap for the rogue [[Megatron (G1)/2005 IDW continuity|Megatron]] and his allies. When they teleported again to the surface, the D.J.D. sprung their trap, forcing the group to take shelter inside the Necrobot's fortress. Deathsaurus's troops besieged the place, but retreated after a few moments with the promise to return at sunset. The Autobots managed to use the flowers' energy to boost the forcefield, giving them a slight edge while they bunkered down and prepared to siege it out. The geobomb did not destroy the Necroworld, however, but transported the whole planet into [[Functionist Universe|an alternate universe]]. Cyclonus took them hostage and made his demands, 
But Magnus wouldn't leave them in villainous hands! 

When Ultra Magnus arrived, he charged straight at his foe, 
But as they joined in battle, little did they know 
That Wheelie snuck past them and pressed the self-destruct 
Which meant if they lingered their deathbeds would be tucked! 

So Cyclonus retreated as the asteroid blew up 
And Magnus saved the kids from their monumental screw up! 
As it turned out, Magnus didn't know his own birthday, 
So their entire adventure was pointless, anyway.

The Decepticon gave chase, but Wheelie outsmarted their foe, 
Luring him onto a busted bridge, where he slipped and fell below. 

They then stowed away on the [[Trainbot]]s and returned to [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]], 
To help battle the Decepticons with their (limited) brawn. 
Daniel, the wuss, was soon attacked by [[Tantrum (G1)|Tantrum]],

Luckily for Wheelie, the Headmasters were there.

The meteorite [[Metamorphose]] then threatened Autobot space, 
By warping anything metal in its magnetic embrace! 
Only ''Daniel'' was safe. Only ''he'' could defeat it. 
Wheelie cheered Daniel on—he was ''sure'' he could beat it! 
But Daniel was a crybaby, a big blubbering sack, 
So Wheelie chided his buddy and cut him no slack. 
Daniel ''eventually'' manned up and blew up the rock, 
But Wheelie, ''such a jerk'', continued to mock. {{storylink|Approach of the Demon Meteorite}}

The Trainbots later invited both Wheelie and Dan 
To come visit their birthplace in far-off [[Japan]]. 
Soon after arriving, [[Sixshot]] made some trouble, 
Stirring up the Autobots, who countered on the double! 
The Headmasters went searching all over the planet, 
While Dan and Wheelie went shopping and...well, ''dammit'', 
The Trainbots shopped ''with'' them, and [[Chromedome (G1)|Chromedome]] made a fuss, 
Causing Daniel to run away crying. (Jeez, what a ''wuss''.) {{storylink|Terror! The Six Shadows}}

Wheelie later observed as the Autobots fought, 
To reach [[Vector Sigma]] first, for if they could not, 
The Decepticons would get there, and then there'd be trouble, 
Because they'd use Sigma's [[Cybertonuron]] to turn the Autobots to rubble! 

But they were wrong—[[Scorponok (G1)|Scorponok]] had a more menacing scheme: 
To blow up all of Cybertron! How terribly obscene! 
The bombs could not be removed, much to Wheelie's frustration, 
Leaving Rodimus to call for the planet's evacuation. 
And so Wheelie was forced to watch his planet go KER-PEW! 
Poor little guy...his day kind of ''blew''. 
Rodimus then departed on an outer space quest,

Crippled with sorrow over Cybertron's end, 
The Autobots threw a party to help their wounds mend. 
Wheelie, the hedonist, had too much to drink, 
And got drunk and passed out, that little rat-fink!

Along with Daniel and Spike, Wheelie went to Peru 
To prevent the members of the Decepticon crew 
From making a volcano blow up sky-high, 
Leaving the villagers below to helplessly fry. 

As the mountain erupted, they approached in [[Broadside (G1)|Broadside]], 
But he couldn't beat the heat, no matter how hard he tried! 
So Wheelie tried once again, this time with the Trainbots, 
But the heat drove ''them'' off too, just like they were lame-bots! 
With no options left, they evacuated the town,

On Athenia, Daniel was planting some seeds 
And began watering them to tend to their needs. 
As Wheelie observed this dull gardening show, 
He was shocked when he saw [[buridanka|the plant]] starting to grow! 
The plant was a creature from the world of [[Darhos]] 
That could grow to great heights, turning slimy and gross!

Wheelie and Daniel called to Spike for some aid. 
Spike then looked to Arcee (since she was their maid). 
But they could do nothing, and the plant ''almost'' trashed their base,

When Wheelie and Daniel went to [[Mars (planet)|Mars]] on a geological mission, 
They found that the red planet was in perilous condition! 
Scorponok had planted bombs near the planet's core, 
And once they went off, Mars would then be no more! 
Then the pair were attacked by the [[Terrorcon (G1)|Terrorcon]] [[Rippersnapper (G1)|Rippersnapper]], 
Who easily abducted the duo of lame whippersnappers! 

Imprisoned deep underground in a series of caves, 
Daniel concocted a scheme to trick the foul knaves. 
He staged an argument with Wheelie and even a fake brawl, 
Which let him secretly send an Autobot distress call! 
The Headmasters then arrived and rescued the youths,

Returned to Athenia, Wheelie looked on in fright, 
Praying Fortress would survive his terrible fight! 
When they found that their leader had been injured severely, 
Wheelie swore to the skies that the Decepticons would pay dearly! 
But Wheelie's swearing and screeching couldn't stop what was fated; 
Mars was blown into bits and [[Scorponok (G1)|Mega Zarak]] was created. {{storylink|Explosion on Mars!! MegaZarak Appears}}

With the threat of Mega Zarak now looming ahead, 
Wheelie admitted to Daniel his feelings of dread. 
But Daniel wouldn't hear it; he knew Fortress was stronger, 
He'd had enough of Wheelie's crap, and he'd take it no longer. 
So with inhuman strength (and overreacting a bit), 
He shoved Wheelie into a lake after throwing a fit. 

Before Wheelie could crush him with his mighty robot fist, 
A flying saucer zoomed past. (Oh my gawd, aliens ''do'' exist!) 
Daniel thought that the alien might be friend and not foe, 
So he tried to use a keyboard to communicate with it and, ''whoah'', 
Daniel was completely wrong—about as wrong as you can ''get''. 
The alien was ''[[Galvatron (G1)/Generation 1 cartoon continuity|Galvatron]]''. (He was off by more than a bit.) 
Humiliated by his actions, Daniel started to weep, 
Leaving Wheelie no choice but to soothe the little creep. {{storylink|Return of the Immortal Emperor}}

When the planet called [[Sandra (planet)|Sandra]] sent an SOS into space, 
Asking for [[Energon cube]]s to save their dying race, 
The Autobots, always kindly, agreed to give them their aid, 
And Wheelie and Daniel tagged along to see the delivery made. 
Then the Decepticons attacked! But Spike ''knew'' that they would, 
And he set up a small cargo ship just so that they could 
Slip away in the battle and deliver the cubes. 
Wheelie and Daniel laughed out loud at the Decepticon rubes. 
And so the cargo was delivered and Sandra was saved! 
Wheelie didn't do much this time, but at least he behaved. {{storylink|SOS from Planet Sandra}}

When the Decepticons [[Apeface]] and [[Snapdragon (G1)|Snapdragon]] showed up at last, 
[[Brainstorm (G1)|Brainstorm]] told Wheelie all about their mysterious past. 
He revealed unto Wheelie that they used to be friends,

Wheelie and the Autobots then found themselves stuck in a race 
To prevent the Decepticons from plundering space. 
The planet of [[Hive (planet)|Hive]] was the villains' first victim, 
But they were thwarted when the Autobots arrived to evict 'em. {{storylink|Fight to the Death on Planet Hive!!}}

As for the twin planets of [[Twin Star|Sperity and Toruin]], 
Galvatron planned to ransack them and bring them to ruin. 
As Sperity was attacked for its huge energy stash, 
Wheelie was sent to Toruin before he could do anything rash. 

And on that barren planet Wheelie made a find: 
The people of Sperity had left their old planet behind! 
They had taken their energon far away from there, 
Which is why Galvatron couldn't find it anywhere! 
Eventually, Galvatron was forced to just call it quits,

At ''[[Video Challenger]]'', Daniel proved very skilled, 
But Wheelie's reaction to him was a little less thrilled. 
So he challenged the kid to shoot an apple that he held up, 
But Daniel shot his ''arm'' instead when his aim got fouled up. 

A penal colony on [[Daros]] was their next landing point, 
So they could rescue some war criminals being slaughtered in the joint. 
One of the criminals, though, tried to cut Daniel's neck, 
And Wheelie was helpless to stop him, but hey, ''what the heck''. 
As it turns out, the criminal wasn't really ''that'' bad, 
And when he let Daniel go, no one ''really'' got mad. 
He gave information that helped them unravel a serious knot 
And let them defeat MegaZarak. (Though they hadn't found his weak spot.) {{storylink|Find MegaZarak's Weak Spot!!}}

The Decepticons drew them next to the jungle planet [[Paradise]], 
Where they were plundering energy and doing things not-so-nice! 
So with the Headmasters setting out to solve their enemy's tests, 
Daniel and Wheelie met [[Papika]] and her voluptuous... ''face''. 
Wheelie was smitten quite quickly, and his eyes glowed deep red. 
It's best not to imagine the thoughts that went through ''his'' head. 

After learning to fish, Wheelie tried his best to impress her 
By transforming into a car, but his skills proved the lesser 
When compared to Papika's; she could talk to beasts large and small, 
Making it clear that Wheelie couldn't impress her ''at all''. 
Later, the Headmasters won the day, just like they always did, 
And Wheelie gave up on Papika. (She was out of your league, kid.) {{storylink|Head Formation of Friendship}}

On their travels, the Decepticons proved formidable foes, 
Having stolen energy from six planets. Why? ''Lord only knows''. 
Approaching [[Pirate Planet]], Wheelie spotted something quite freaky: 
An old space pirate ship that was battered, damaged and leaky. 
And then an awesome adventure immediately began 
Involving pirates! And pyramids! Treasure! [[Clone (subgroup)|Clones]]! And...''aw, man''. 
Wheelie sat the whole thing out, letting Daniel have all the fun. 
Of all the adventures to miss, he had to skip out on ''that'' one? {{storylink|Mystery of the Space Pirate Ship}}

As [[Highbrow (G1)|Highbrow]] struggled in vain to crack Scorponok's secret code, 
Daniel and Wheelie tried to help him cross that long, bumpy road. 
Unfortunately, their "help" proved far too insufficient, 
And they had to start over from scratch (not very efficient). 
Then Sixshot attacked and blew [[Ultra Magnus (G1)/Generation 1 cartoon continuity|Ultra Magnus]] into bits, 
And Wheelie attended his funeral between crying fits. {{storylink|Ultra Magnus Dies!!}}

From the Athenia base, Wheelie watched Spike blow his top; 
The 'Cons were ransacking Earth and weren't going to stop! 
They were blaming Chromedome for the team's lack of success,

On a mission to Earth, Chromedome had just one simple job, 
To keep Spike from getting killed, but that big robotic knob 
Screwed it all up and Spike went into intensive care. 
Daniel forgave Chromedome, but Wheelie wouldn't let it end there. 
Chromedome tried to say sorry, but Wheelie said it wasn't enough. 
Even by ''Wheelie's'' standards, he was treating Chromedome pretty rough. 

As Spike recovered from surgery, Wheelie was then put to work, 
Helping to find Mega Zarak's weakspot for Chromedome (that ''jerk''). 
After tens of minutes of labor, they all figured it out: 
The weakspot was on his chest beyond all shadow of a doubt! {{storylink|I Risk My Life for Earth}}

With the Decepticons banished from Earth, the Autobots needed aid 
In gathering [[Plasma energy]] bombs so the humans would not be afraid. 
To accomplish this goal, Wheelie offered to call on friends that he knew, 
But Daniel laughed in his face! Wheelie was friendless and a ''fibber'', too! 

Then much to Daniel's surprise, Wheelie proved him totally wrong, 
When his good "friends" [[Pointblank]], [[Crosshairs (G1)|Crosshairs]] and [[Sureshot (G1)|Sureshot]] came along! 
Those Autobots were great warriors! Daniel was very impressed! 
But at being called Wheelie's "friends" the trio became very distressed. 
As it turns out, they ''weren't'' his "friends"; Wheelie was an absolute liar! 
They were his superior officers! His robo-pants were on fire! {{storylink|Miraculous Warriors, Targetmasters (Part 1)}}

With Wheelie's good "friends" now turned into powerful [[Targetmaster (technology)|Targetmaster]]s, 
The veterans began insulting the obsolete Headmasters. 
In front of Daniel and Wheelie, Pointblank came down on Chromedome, 
Who feared the after effects of the disrespect he was shown. 
But Daniel and Wheelie didn't respect Chromedome any less 
(If they respected him ''at all'' is, well, ''anyone's'' guess). {{storylink|Miraculous Warriors, Targetmasters (Part 2)}}

Vowing to become a Headmaster by improving fitness and health. 
Daniel rolled his eyes and laughed out loud; Wheelie's dreams were too silly. 
Wheelie told Daniel he could ''never'' be one; he was too fleshy and frilly. 
Very early the next morning, Wheelie snuck outside for a run, 
Only to be captured by Sixshot, whose evil scheme had begun! 

Sixshot threatened to dip Wheelie in acid if Fortress didn't agree 
To give up the [[Master Sword]]'s secrets and to do it quickly! 
Pointblank coldly suggested they just let Wheelie melt and die, 
But Daniel and Chromedome disagreed! They'd save the little guy! 
Going against orders, the pair snuck inside of Scorponok, 
With Daniel using his size to sneak past the energy locks. 

They got Wheelie out safely, but alas, their rescue was too late. 
Fortress had just handed over his secrets! Well, ain't that just ''great''? 
Furious at the trio for leaving the ship without orders, 
He gave them a mop and a bucket and said to wash ''all'' the quarters. {{storylink|The Master Sword Is in Danger!!}}

Thanks to Wheelie's epic failure, the Decepticons took what they stole 
And began construction of the [[Zarak Shield]] as their ultimate goal. 
As the Headmasters traversed Master to thwart the sinister plan, 
Wheelie stood ontop of Battleship Maximus, hanging with Dan. 
They were startled by [[Weirdwolf (G1)|Weirdwolf]], who had concocted a plan all his own, 
He'd set bombs on the ship and didn't want their cover to be blown! 
Weirdwolf's plan was a success; the bombs completely ruined the ship 
And with his fancy new shield, Zarak prepared to beat on the crip. {{storylink|The Zarak Shield Turns the Tide}}

While [[Raiden]] and [[Defensor (G1)|Defensor]] worked double-time on repairs, 
Wheelie and Dan found themselves useless to help with such affairs. 
As the grown-ups worked diligently to create tactics and plans,

With the Maximus repaired, the Autobots set off into space 
After Mega Zarak whom they ''once again'' had to chase. 
In an effort to kill time, Wheelie had his ''greatest'' idea yet: 
He and Daniel would see what it was like inside a laser turret! 
Then the turret was damaged with Daniel still stuck inside, 
And jettisoned away from the ship; Wheelie just about ''cried''. 
Daniel made it back (with Sixshot's help), much to Wheelie's relief; 
If he had caused Daniel's death, Wheelie would have been crippled with grief! {{storylink|My Friend Sixshot!}}

Sixshot may have saved Daniel, but he was still no Autobot friend 
And challenged Chromedome to a duel where he'd surely meet his end. 
Wheelie, that eavesdropping punk, heard about the whole situation

Because of that stupid duel, Mega Zarak made it to Earth first, 
Once again, it was ''all'' Chromedome's fault (that guy is really the ''worst''). 
Daniel was busy pouting, thinking Sixshot had died in the fight. 
Wheelie teased the brat, anyway (never one to pass on a slight). 
They eventually reached Earth, but tragedy wasn't far behind: 
Spike's plane crashed down in the Andes and they were all in a bind! 
Wheelie followed his good buddy, who had to rescue his mother, 
And Daniel saved the day, yet again! A true hero! (''Oh brother...'') {{storylink|The Final Showdown on Earth (Part 1)}}

With friends and justice, the Autobots joined hands in formation 
And prevented Scorponok's insidius detonation! 
Mega Zarak destroyed and the Decepticons driven away, 
Wheelie and Daniel were left with only goodbyes to say. 
Wheelie promised to visit Daniel again when he was older,

For that poor guy's sake, Wheelie had saved him just in time, 
So the grateful little guy taught Wheelie how to rhyme! 

And Varta (the alien) even had a ship that flew! 
To get it up and running, Wheelie's power source would do. 
Together, the friends both prepared to leave the wretched place, 
But their dreams were crushed when Spyglass shot Varta in the face! 

The Decepticons took the ship and left Wheelie to his doom, 
But he surprised all the 'Cons and made the ship go ''Kaboom!'' 
In a year, Varta recovered and the pair built a home. 
And from then on, his fate Wheelie would no longer bemoan!

And so the pair of heroes fought through to the end. 
When Marissa came and helped, the lightpoles got wise, 
Targeting her ship and blowing it out of the skies!

The trio fought on, but their nerves were quite shaken,

But Sky Lynx was so awesome, he defeated them in stride! 
Their foes now driven off, the team reached Earth in time, 
Completing their mission in a manner sublime. 
With the cog now delivered, Metroplex came alive. 
He thrashed [[Trypticon (G1)|Trypticon]], and the dino took a dive!

Later, with Grimlock and Blurr, Wheelie listened to Kup,

So he went and paired up with Daniel Witwicky. 

Their search led them straight to a storage asteroid 
Being spied on by [[Cyclonus (G1)|Cyclonus]] (how paranoid!). 
Cyclonus took them hostage and made his demands, 
But Magnus wouldn't leave them in villainous hands! 

When Ultra Magnus arrived, he charged straight at his foe, 
But as they joined in battle, little did they know 
That Wheelie snuck past them and pressed the self-destruct 
Which meant if they lingered their deathbeds would be tucked! 

So Cyclonus retreated as the asteroid blew up 
And Magnus saved the kids from their monumental screw up! 
As it turned out, Magnus didn't know his own birthday, 
So their entire adventure was pointless, anyway.

With other Autobots, Wheelie found [[Paradron]], 
A utopian planet that [[Sandstorm (G1)|Sandstorm]] lived on! 
Galvatron tried to take it and make it his base, 
But gave up when Ultra Magnus blew up the whole place.

On another adventure, Wheelie didn't do much 
But fill out the crowds, lingering around and such.

But Cyclonus's power almost banished him to his grave! 
Kup then requested help and Wheelie replied 
By talking to some friends who he knew were on his side. 
To make their ship visible was what Kup had asked, 
So [[Grapple (G1)|Grapple]] and <s>[[Warpath (G1)|Warpath]]</s> [[Tracks (G1)|Tracks]] did so... ''and fast''! 
When Hot Rod began winning, Cyclonus became a goner 
He admitted this act was one without honor.

Next, Blaster's untimely death sent Wheelie into depression. 
"No one cares Blaster's gone" was his bitter impression. 
But Wheelie was wrong; Rodimus Prime cared quite a bit. 
He knew Blaster's death was a mistake and sought to rectify it! 
So Blaster was revived as Twincast, much to Wheelie's elation, 
And thus began the Great Cassette Operation! {{storylink|The Great Cassette Operation}}

To the [[Beastformer]] homeworld, known simply as [[Beast (planet)|Beast]], 
Where the 'Cons were causing trouble (to say only the least). 
Wheelie and Daniel then tried to rescue the Beastformer slaves, 
But were imprisoned ''themselves'' in the dungeon-like caves! 
Luckily for Wheelie, the Headmasters were there.

The meteorite [[Metamorphose]] then threatened Autobot space, 
By warping anything metal in its magnetic embrace! 
Only ''Daniel'' was safe. Only ''he'' could defeat it. 
Wheelie cheered Daniel on—he was ''sure'' he could beat it! 
But Daniel was a crybaby, a big blubbering sack, 
So Wheelie chided his buddy and cut him no slack. 
Daniel ''eventually'' manned up and blew up the rock,

The Trainbots later invited both Wheelie and Dan 
To come visit their birthplace in far-off [[Japan]]. 
Soon after arriving, [[Sixshot]] made some trouble, 
Stirring up the Autobots, who countered on the double! 
The Headmasters went searching all over the planet, 
While Dan and Wheelie went shopping and...well, ''dammit'', 
The Trainbots shopped ''with'' them, and [[Chromedome (G1)|Chromedome]] made a fuss, 
Causing Daniel to run away crying. (Jeez, what a ''wuss''.) {{storylink|Terror! The Six Shadows}}

Wheelie later observed as the Autobots fought, 
To reach [[Vector Sigma]] first, for if they could not, 
The Decepticons would get there, and then there'd be trouble, 
Because they'd use Sigma's [[Cybertonuron]] to turn the Autobots to rubble! 

But they were wrong—[[Scorponok (G1)|Scorponok]] had a more menacing scheme: 
To blow up all of Cybertron! How terribly obscene! 
The bombs could not be removed, much to Wheelie's frustration, 
Leaving Rodimus to call for the planet's evacuation. 
And so Wheelie was forced to watch his planet go KER-PEW! 
Poor little guy...his day kind of ''blew''. 
Rodimus then departed on an outer space quest,

Crippled with sorrow over Cybertron's end, 
The Autobots threw a party to help their wounds mend. 
Wheelie, the hedonist, had too much to drink, 
And got drunk and passed out, that little rat-fink!

Along with Daniel and Spike, Wheelie went to Peru 
To prevent the members of the Decepticon crew 
From making a volcano blow up sky-high, 
Leaving the villagers below to helplessly fry. 

As the mountain erupted, they approached in [[Broadside (G1)|Broadside]], 
But he couldn't beat the heat, no matter how hard he tried! 
So Wheelie tried once again, this time with the Trainbots, 
But the heat drove ''them'' off too, just like they were lame-bots! 
With no options left, they evacuated the town,

On Athenia, Daniel was planting some seeds 
And began watering them to tend to their needs. 
As Wheelie observed this dull gardening show, 
He was shocked when he saw [[buridanka|the plant]] starting to grow! 
The plant was a creature from the world of [[Darhos]] 
That could grow to great heights, turning slimy and gross!

Wheelie and Daniel called to Spike for some aid. 
Spike then looked to Arcee (since she was their maid). 
But they could do nothing, and the plant ''almost'' trashed their base,

When Wheelie and Daniel went to [[Mars (planet)|Mars]] on a geological mission, 
They found that the red planet was in perilous condition! 
Scorponok had planted bombs near the planet's core, 
And once they went off, Mars would then be no more! 
Then the pair were attacked by the [[Terrorcon (G1)|Terrorcon]] [[Rippersnapper (G1)|Rippersnapper]], 
Who easily abducted the duo of lame whippersnappers! 

Imprisoned deep underground in a series of caves, 
Daniel concocted a scheme to trick the foul knaves. 
He staged an argument with Wheelie and even a fake brawl, 
Which let him secretly send an Autobot distress call! 
The Headmasters then arrived and rescued the youths,

Returned to Athenia, Wheelie looked on in fright, 
Praying Fortress would survive his terrible fight! 
When they found that their leader had been injured severely, 
Wheelie swore to the skies that the Decepticons would pay dearly! 
But Wheelie's swearing and screeching couldn't stop what was fated; 
Mars was blown into bits and [[Scorponok (G1)|Mega Zarak]] was created. {{storylink|Explosion on Mars!! MegaZarak Appears}}

With the threat of Mega Zarak now looming ahead, 
Wheelie admitted to Daniel his feelings of dread. 
But Daniel wouldn't hear it; he knew Fortress was stronger, 
He'd had enough of Wheelie's crap, and he'd take it no longer. 
So with inhuman strength (and overreacting a bit), 
He shoved Wheelie into a lake after throwing a fit. 

Before Wheelie could crush him with his mighty robot fist, 
A flying saucer zoomed past. (Oh my gawd, aliens ''do'' exist!) 
Daniel thought that the alien might be friend and not foe, 
So he tried to use a keyboard to communicate with it and, ''whoah'', 
Daniel was completely wrong—about as wrong as you can ''get''. 
The alien was ''[[Galvatron (G1)/Generation 1 cartoon continuity|Galvatron]]''. (He was off by more than a bit.) 
Humiliated by his actions, Daniel started to weep, 
Leaving Wheelie no choice but to soothe the little creep. {{storylink|Return of the Immortal Emperor}}

When the planet called [[Sandra (planet)|Sandra]] sent an SOS into space, 
Asking for [[Energon cube]]s to save their dying race, 
The Autobots, always kindly, agreed to give them their aid, 
And Wheelie and Daniel tagged along to see the delivery made. 
Then the Decepticons attacked! But Spike ''knew'' that they would, 
And he set up a small cargo ship just so that they could 
Slip away in the battle and deliver the cubes. 
Wheelie and Daniel laughed out loud at the Decepticon rubes. 
And so the cargo was delivered and Sandra was saved!

[[Brainstorm (G1)|Brainstorm]] told Wheelie all about their mysterious past. 
He revealed unto Wheelie that they used to be friends,

Wheelie and the Autobots then found themselves stuck in a race 
To prevent the Decepticons from plundering space. 
The planet of [[Hive (planet)|Hive]] was the villains' first victim, 
But they were thwarted when the Autobots arrived to evict 'em. {{storylink|Fight to the Death on Planet Hive!!}}

As for the twin planets of [[Twin Star|Sperity and Toruin]], 
Galvatron planned to ransack them and bring them to ruin. 
As Sperity was attacked for its huge energy stash, 
Wheelie was sent to Toruin before he could do anything rash. 

And on that barren planet Wheelie made a find: 
The people of Sperity had left their old planet behind! 
They had taken their energon far away from there, 
Which is why Galvatron couldn't find it anywhere! 
Eventually, Galvatron was forced to just call it quits,

At ''[[Video Challenger]]'', Daniel proved very skilled, 
But Wheelie's reaction to him was a little less thrilled. 
So he challenged the kid to shoot an apple that he held up, 
But Daniel shot his ''arm'' instead when his aim got fouled up. 

A penal colony on [[Daros]] was their next landing point, 
So they could rescue some war criminals being slaughtered in the joint. 
One of the criminals, though, tried to cut Daniel's neck, 
And Wheelie was helpless to stop him, but hey, ''what the heck''. 
As it turns out, the criminal wasn't really ''that'' bad, 
And when he let Daniel go, no one ''really'' got mad. 
He gave information that helped them unravel a serious knot 
And let them defeat MegaZarak. (Though they hadn't found his weak spot.) {{storylink|Find MegaZarak's Weak Spot!!}}

The Decepticons drew them next to the jungle planet [[Paradise]], 
Where they were plundering energy and doing things not-so-nice! 
So with the Headmasters setting out to solve their enemy's tests, 
Daniel and Wheelie met [[Papika]] and her voluptuous... ''face''. 
Wheelie was smitten quite quickly, and his eyes glowed deep red. 
It's best not to imagine the thoughts that went through ''his'' head. 

After learning to fish, Wheelie tried his best to impress her 
By transforming into a car, but his skills proved the lesser 
When compared to Papika's; she could talk to beasts large and small, 
Making it clear that Wheelie couldn't impress her ''at all''. 
Later, the Headmasters won the day, just like they always did, 
And Wheelie gave up on Papika. (She was out of your league, kid.) {{storylink|Head Formation of Friendship}}

On their travels, the Decepticons proved formidable foes, 
Having stolen energy from six planets. Why? ''Lord only knows''. 
Approaching [[Pirate Planet]], Wheelie spotted something quite freaky: 
An old space pirate ship that was battered, damaged and leaky. 
And then an awesome adventure immediately began 
Involving pirates! And pyramids! Treasure! [[Clone (subgroup)|Clones]]! And...''aw, man''. 
Wheelie sat the whole thing out, letting Daniel have all the fun. 
Of all the adventures to miss, he had to skip out on ''that'' one? {{storylink|Mystery of the Space Pirate Ship}}

As [[Highbrow (G1)|Highbrow]] struggled in vain to crack Scorponok's secret code, 
Daniel and Wheelie tried to help him cross that long, bumpy road. 
Unfortunately, their "help" proved far too insufficient, 
And they had to start over from scratch (not very efficient). 
Then Sixshot attacked and blew [[Ultra Magnus (G1)/Generation 1 cartoon continuity|Ultra Magnus]] into bits, 
And Wheelie attended his funeral between crying fits. {{storylink|Ultra Magnus Dies!!}}

From the Athenia base, Wheelie watched Spike blow his top; 
The 'Cons were ransacking Earth and weren't going to stop! 
They were blaming Chromedome for the team's lack of success,

On a mission to Earth, Chromedome had just one simple job, 
To keep Spike from getting killed, but that big robotic knob 
Screwed it all up and Spike went into intensive care. 
Daniel forgave Chromedome, but Wheelie wouldn't let it end there. 
Chromedome tried to say sorry, but Wheelie said it wasn't enough. 
Even by ''Wheelie's'' standards, he was treating Chromedome pretty rough. 

As Spike recovered from surgery, Wheelie was then put to work, 
Helping to find Mega Zarak's weakspot for Chromedome (that ''jerk''). 
After tens of minutes of labor, they all figured it out: 
The weakspot was on his chest beyond all shadow of a doubt! {{storylink|I Risk My Life for Earth}}

With the Decepticons banished from Earth, the Autobots needed aid 
In gathering [[Plasma energy]] bombs so the humans would not be afraid. 
To accomplish this goal, Wheelie offered to call on friends that he knew, 
But Daniel laughed in his face! Wheelie was friendless and a ''fibber'', too! 

Then much to Daniel's surprise, Wheelie proved him totally wrong, 
When his good "friends" [[Pointblank]], [[Crosshairs (G1)|Crosshairs]] and [[Sureshot (G1)|Sureshot]] came along! 
Those Autobots were great warriors! Daniel was very impressed! 
But at being called Wheelie's "friends" the trio became very distressed. 
As it turns out, they ''weren't'' his "friends"; Wheelie was an absolute liar! 
They were his superior officers! His robo-pants were on fire! {{storylink|Miraculous Warriors, Targetmasters (Part 1)}}

With Wheelie's good "friends" now turned into powerful [[Targetmaster (technology)|Targetmaster]]s, 
The veterans began insulting the obsolete Headmasters. 
In front of Daniel and Wheelie, Pointblank came down on Chromedome, 
Who feared the after effects of the disrespect he was shown. 
But Daniel and Wheelie didn't respect Chromedome any less 
(If they respected him ''at all'' is, well, ''anyone's'' guess). {{storylink|Miraculous Warriors, Targetmasters (Part 2)}}

Vowing to become a Headmaster by improving fitness and health. 
Daniel rolled his eyes and laughed out loud; Wheelie's dreams were too silly. 
Wheelie told Daniel he could ''never'' be one; he was too fleshy and frilly. 
Very early the next morning, Wheelie snuck outside for a run, 
Only to be captured by Sixshot, whose evil scheme had begun! 

Sixshot threatened to dip Wheelie in acid if Fortress didn't agree 
To give up the [[Master Sword]]'s secrets and to do it quickly! 
Pointblank coldly suggested they just let Wheelie melt and die, 
But Daniel and Chromedome disagreed! They'd save the little guy! 
Going against orders, the pair snuck inside of Scorponok, 
With Daniel using his size to sneak past the energy locks. 

They got Wheelie out safely, but alas, their rescue was too late. 
Fortress had just handed over his secrets! Well, ain't that just ''great''? 
Furious at the trio for leaving the ship without orders, 
He gave them a mop and a bucket and said to wash ''all'' the quarters. {{storylink|The Master Sword Is in Danger!!}}

Thanks to Wheelie's epic failure, the Decepticons took what they stole 
And began construction of the [[Zarak Shield]] as their ultimate goal. 
As the Headmasters traversed Master to thwart the sinister plan, 
Wheelie stood ontop of Battleship Maximus, hanging with Dan. 
They were startled by [[Weirdwolf (G1)|Weirdwolf]], who had concocted a plan all his own, 
He'd set bombs on the ship and didn't want their cover to be blown! 
Weirdwolf's plan was a success; the bombs completely ruined the ship 
And with his fancy new shield, Zarak prepared to beat on the crip. {{storylink|The Zarak Shield Turns the Tide}}

While [[Raiden]] and [[Defensor (G1)|Defensor]] worked double-time on repairs, 
Wheelie and Dan found themselves useless to help with such affairs. 
As the grown-ups worked diligently to create tactics and plans, 
The kids went to play video games at their elder's demands. {{storylink|Operation: Destroy the Decepticons}}

With the Maximus repaired, the Autobots set off into space 
After Mega Zarak whom they ''once again'' had to chase. 
In an effort to kill time, Wheelie had his ''greatest'' idea yet: 
He and Daniel would see what it was like inside a laser turret! 
Then the turret was damaged with Daniel still stuck inside, 
And jettisoned away from the ship; Wheelie just about ''cried''. 
Daniel made it back (with Sixshot's help), much to Wheelie's relief; 
If he had caused Daniel's death, Wheelie would have been crippled with grief! {{storylink|My Friend Sixshot!}}

Sixshot may have saved Daniel, but he was still no Autobot friend 
And challenged Chromedome to a duel where he'd surely meet his end. 
Wheelie, that eavesdropping punk, heard about the whole situation

Because of that stupid duel, Mega Zarak made it to Earth first, 
Once again, it was ''all'' Chromedome's fault (that guy is really the ''worst''). 
Daniel was busy pouting, thinking Sixshot had died in the fight. 
Wheelie teased the brat, anyway (never one to pass on a slight). 
They eventually reached Earth, but tragedy wasn't far behind: 
Spike's plane crashed down in the Andes and they were all in a bind! 
Wheelie followed his good buddy, who had to rescue his mother, 
And Daniel saved the day, yet again! A true hero! (''Oh brother...'') {{storylink|The Final Showdown on Earth (Part 1)}}

And prevented Scorponok's insidius detonation! 
Mega Zarak destroyed and the Decepticons driven away, 
Wheelie and Daniel were left with only goodbyes to say. 
Wheelie promised to visit Daniel again when he was older,

And now with nowhere to go, he had no choice but to stay. 

But the [[Quintesson]]s, those meanies, didn't like Wheelie one bit, 
So they threw him first in a dungeon, then in a [[Sharkticon (G1)|Sharkticon]] pit! 
Wheelie, however, was not ''about'' to be killed, 
As it turns out, in gymnastics, Wheelie was very skilled! 
Using the gangplank as a springboard, he made his escape, 
Then fled into the jungle to live off the land like an ape! 

An undetermined time after that, a spoiled brat named [[Hot Rod (G1)|Hot Rod]], 
Went on a space trip with his homies and, well, isn't it odd, 
They crash-landed on Quintesson just like Wheelie did? 
Except none of them died like the parents of ''that'' kid. 

No sooner had they landed, they were menaced by danger; 
The Quintessons were attacking, but what's even ''stranger'', 
Is that Wheelie saved their lives, launching fireballs at the villains, 
All the while bustin' mad rhymes that were krunk, phresh and illin'. 

Wheelie then led his new friends to his damaged old spaceship, 
And Hot Rod began on repairs so they all could make the trip, 
Away from Quintesson and they needed to leave ''soon'', 
For the Quintessons had returned with some Sharkticon goons! 

Hot Rod repaired the spaceship and just ''barely'' in time,

Towards perhaps his home universe, a return to his world!

The trail of a crashed ship was what he next embarked upon, 
And found that it had been piloted by Decepticons! 

An [[Varta|alien]] was being tortured by [[Spectro]] and [[Spyglass]], 
So Wheelie swooped in like a superhero and saved the shmuck's ass. 
For that poor guy's sake, Wheelie had saved him just in time, 
So the grateful little guy taught Wheelie how to rhyme! 

And Varta (the alien) even had a ship that flew! 
To get it up and running, Wheelie's power source would do. 
Together, the friends both prepared to leave the wretched place, 
But their dreams were crushed when Spyglass shot Varta in the face! 

The Decepticons took the ship and left Wheelie to his doom, 
But he surprised all the 'Cons and made the ship go ''Kaboom!'' 
In a year, Varta recovered and the pair built a home. 
And from then on, his fate Wheelie would no longer bemoan!

One day Rodimus showed up and Wheelie came to his aid.
