:Axiom Nexus is a city from the TransTech continuity.

In one of the oldest dimensions in the multiverse, one Cybertronian city, Axiom Nexus, is a hub for travelers from other dimensions. According to New Arrivals Coordinator Silverbolt, it is a city "unlike any other in the multiverse". The city maintains its relative harmony through strict adherence to the principle of "Dux non Intruitus": all Megatrons, Primes, miscellaneous other faction leaders, and MacGuffins from other universes are considered illegal... although this hasn't stopped some from bending the rules, and more than a few sneaky offworlders have managed to circumvent the ban.

Some travelers arrive here by their own design. Others, however, arrive by accident, and must be processed and given identification bolts. These "offworlders" are seen as inferior throwbacks by many of the proud and technologically-advanced TransTechs, and permission to travel outside the borders of Axiom Nexus to the rest of its native Cybertron is granted to a very scant few. As such, its inhabitants have a culture all their own, composed of markets and gangs and ... well, a lot of markets and gangs.

Notable locations within Axiom Nexus include:

*The Blue Deployer, a seedy bar run by the equally-seedy Cryotek
*Widow's Cafe Cybertronian, a resting spot for the downtrodden run by Crystal Widow
*Swindle, Swindle and Swindle, a black market parts shop run by a trio of Swindles
*The Heap, a subterranean landscape of dumped dimensional detritus buried outside the reach of the law

20,000 years ago, a hive of temporally-displaced Waruders arrived in Axiom Nexus from a universe in the Cymond Cluster. They spent the next few millennia building up their numbers while secretly feeding off of the planet's Cybertonium. Cybertron's Most Wanted

The first Offworlders arrived in Axiom Nexus purely by accident, owing to Nexus 208.0 Epsilon's unique position in the multiverse. Ask Vector Prime

Jackpot and Hubcap ran from police. Framed for the murder of anti-TransTech rabble-rouser Gutcruncher, they were eventually absolved of all charges thanks to an unwitting taped confession from Cryotek's thug, Black Shadow. Gone Too Far

The Caretaker, a supercomputer created by Vector Sigma, sent Breakaway, Landquake, and Skyfall across dimensions to where a fourth member of their group was located. This destination was Axiom Nexus, where the trio were greeted by Silverbolt and Security Administration Officer Cheetor. While the trio got an explanation of their location in the multiverse, they were escorted into a commons area to be "processed". There, they met Alpha Trion, who began to introduce them to the outworlder culture of Axiom Nexus—but even as he guided them through their new digs, they were stalked and attacked by unknown assailants. Transcendent: Part 1

The Waruders then emerged from hibernation en masse, and the interaction of their venom with the planet's Global Net caused a surge that shut down almost all TransTechs. Fortunately, the combined efforts of the Diaclone, C-81's criminal gang, and some OZSA agents put an end to the invasion. Cybertron's Most Wanted

Soon after the Waruder invasion, Axiom Nexus began losing contact with probes and, eventually, entire outposts; its influence had been reduced to just six <strike>popular cartoons and films</strike> main clusters. The entire armed forces were called up and placed on maximum alert. A week later, it leaked out that contact had been lost with Viron too. Rook - Axiom Nexus News: Investigative Journalist This was followed by Tyran at 0783, 28 September 2015 (Quadwal time), causing cracks in the government: High Commander Megatron called for a state of war to be declared, only to be turned down by the High Senate and angrily argued about it in front of reporters. Andromeda - Axiom Nexus News Reporter The Malgus cluster was the next to go on 8 October 2015 Quadwal time. Axiom Nexus News Editor

The official line from Senators like Ratbat was that this was probably just a temporary issue, even as the government covered up the loss of Aurex on 9 October Quadwal time. While holding a party to celebrate the constant discovery of (fragmentary) Kappa realities, Ratbat accidentally let slip that Aurex had gone dark. Rook - Axiom Nexus News: Investigative Journalist

Shockwave's R&D facility was bombed ten days later. Andromeda - Axiom Nexus News Reporter (Cy-Kill admitted it was him but the authorities didn't initially notice, and a few days later he fled the city before they could catch him.) Ask Vector Prime#Renegade Rhetoric Soon after that, the offworld zones fell into violence and chaos as the inhabitants realized they might never go home; the Convoy had to be sent to quell unrest. Rook called the phenomenon "the Shroud" on the day that Hammerstrike (one of Trion's bodyhackers gone native) hacked the broadcast and proved that Uniend was now cut off and the Senate had covered it up. Rook - Axiom Nexus News: Investigative Journalist

By 29 October Quadwal time, Axiom Nexus had lost contact with Primax but briefly regained contact with a Gargent base. High Chancellor Optimus Prime and Director Shockwave announced in a press conference that the universal walls had strengthened, rather than the universes lost, and while travel would be possible it was greatly harder and would require new tech. As much of the city's technology involved dimensional phasing in some way, blackouts and unreliable machinery would be standard for a long while; offworlders could not be sent home but Axiom Nexus would expedite the visas of space-worthy bots so they could leave the planet. Prime appealed to Axion Nexus's proud history of adaptation and called for all factions to come together to handle the crisis.

Subsequently, the newly-returned Vector Prime, now a more or less mundane non-singularity Transcendent Technomorph, was asked by the government to participate in continuing efforts to regain Axiom Nexus's transdimensional sphere of influence. The authorities had identified the nine points in their universe where the multiversal walls were thinnest between Nexus 208.0 Epsilon and the nine most prominent <strike>Transformers media</strike> foundational universal streams. With his rare physiology, knowledge of physics, and experience with organics, Vector Prime was assigned to go undercover on Nebulos, posing as a factory in order to monitor and attempt contact with Primax 984.0 Gamma. Ask Vector Prime

On New Year's Eve 2016, Axiom Nexus suddenly was rocked by news that Megatron had finally punched through the Shroud and found multiple universes had been erased: Primax 308.0 Zeta, Aurex 503.21 Gamma, Gargent 1084.29 Alpha, Iocus 214.24 Kappa, Primax 1003.30 Kappa... even Viron 901.8 Alpha. This escalated to the entire Aurex cluster winking out.

Soon, the Nexus reality was the only cluster left in existence.

Then Waspinator called in to say actually no, he'd been wrong, Rhinox had just been turning off monitoring screens. Rook - Axiom Nexus News: Investigative Journalist

However these events would turn out, Axiom Nexus still existed 10,000 years into the future, when Heinrad would be called into the present day. Rook - Axiom Nexus News: Investigative Journalist
