Four million years ago, Moonracer tried to board the [[Ark (G1)|Ark]], while it was being attacked, with the rest of [[Elita One (G1)|Elita One]]'s team. The plan failed, and she and the others appeared to be destroyed.

Moonracer participated in a raid on one of [[Shockwave (G1)|Shockwave]]'s [[energon]] supply stores. She questioned Elita One's order to take only one stack and got herself stuck in a booby trap when she tried to steal more. As a result, the [[Female Autobots]]' continued existence was discovered by Shockwave, whom was tricked by [[Chromia (G1)|Chromia]] into freeing Moonracer. The two made their escape and joined up with [[Firestar (G1)|Firestar]] on the way back to their hidden base. Near, Elita One informed her soldiers they were being followed. Moonracer quickly located and shot down the [[Sentinel (G1)|offender]].

Trying to capture Elita One and with an idea of where the Female Autobots approximately hid, the Decepticons launched an attack. [[Rumble (G1)|Rumble]] caused the Female Autobots' underground base to collapse, with most of them in it. They survived, but were trapped inside. It was Moonracer's idea then to detonate the energon they stole in order to blast their way out. Following their escape, the team went in search of their leader and subsequently met up with a group of [[Earth]]-stationed Autobots who had come looking for [[Optimus Prime (G1)/Generation 1 cartoon continuity|their commander]]. Moonracer teamed up with her old friend [[Powerglide (G1)|Powerglide]]. Things went well until Shockwave decided he had enough and nearly caused Moonracer and several others to fall to their deaths. Fortunately, Optimus Prime and Elita One made a timely arrival and chased off the Decepticons.

With the Decepticons defeated and their underground headquarters destroyed, [[Alpha Trion (G1)|Alpha Trion]] relocated the Female Autobots to a new base of operations. {{storylink|The Search for Alpha Trion}}

Only Arcee was quick enough to respond in time, blasting the attacker before her friends came to harm. Nine million years ago, Moonracer was one of the younger Autobots, mentally a teenager. She was locked in this mindset when Decepticons attacked the facility that was overseeing one of her upgrades, and the damage to the equipment resulted in stilted emotional growth. While she hadn't made her way to full functionality, she was still quite capable, if perhaps too impetuous for her own good. In the meantime, she functioned as an attaché to Alpha Trion. {{storylink|Hasbro Transformers Collectors' Club issue 33|Moonracer's profile in Club magazine #33}}

Moonracer and [[Ricochet (Timelines)|Ricochet]] stood with [[Alpha Trion (G1)|Alpha Trion]] as he implored the [[Autobot High Council]] to put their support behind his new [[Optimus Prime (G1)/Generation 1 cartoon continuity|"Prime"]] initiative. {{storylink|The Coming Storm: Part 2}}

The pair, along with [[Outback (G1)|Outback]], were at the [[Elite Guard]] [[Auxiliary Weapons Locker]] when [[Magnum]] and the surviving members of the Elite Guard turned up to pick up guns. The trio joined the mission to locate [[Deathsaurus (Victory)|Deathsaurus]]'s base. {{Storylink|Battle Lines, Part 2}} The group soon ran into Deathsaurus's troops and engaged them in combat. Ricochet was shot out of the air by [[Starscream (G1)/Generation 1 cartoon continuity|Starscream]], and Moonracer, Outback, and [[Flak (G1)|Flak]] were at his side as he died from his wounds. Chromia and the others waited patiently for her to signal that they could follow. When it came, Moonracer went after her commander swiftly for further orders. With only Firestar still to get through the portal, the group was attacked by [[Gnaw (G1)|Gnaw]]. Moonracer kicked him in the face towards Elita One, who punched him out. Moonracer was a native of [[Velocitron]], born from the [[hot spot]] within the body of their [[Titan (group)|Titan]] [[Navitas]]. Moonracer made a name for herself by racing alongside the moving city [[Delta]] for an entire day, though some thought of her as crazy for venturing outside. {{storylink|Race Against the Light}} When battling [[combiner]]s from [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]] briefly touched upon the planet, [[Knock Out (G1)|Knock Out]] and Moonracer investigated the footprints left behind and went to report it to [[Override (BW)|Override]]. {{storylink|All That Remains}} Thanks to her reputation she was subsequently selected ambassador to Cybertron alongside Knock Out once the two planets' [[space bridge]]s were linked up. Upon Windblade and her party's arrival on Velocitron, Moonracer let them into Delta and brought their representative, [[Blurr (G1)|Blurr]], to the race, tasking her assistant [[Clocker (G1)|Clocker]] with showing Windblade the way to Navitas' [[brain module]]. Approximately two weeks later, Moonracer was present for the ceremony inducting [[Obsidian (BM)|Obsidian]] and [[Strika (BM)|Strika]] of [[Vigilem|Carcer]] into the [[Council of Worlds]]. {{storylink|The Will of the Few}} When Starscream was upset over being left out of the [[Chosen One Day]] festivities, Moonracer and several others who were feeling the holiday spirit came to visit and at least ''pretend'' to like him for a while. {{storylink|Choose Me}}

After [[Optimus Prime (G1)|Optimus Prime]] announced his intent to annex [[Earth]] into the Council of Worlds, Moonracer attended the first council meeting discussing this sudden change of events. {{storylink|New Worlds Order}} The Council also investigated a series of [[Mnemosurgery|mnemosurgical]] attacks on Decepticons and the increasing suspicions of the [[Badgeless]], eventually appointing Ironhide to investigate the matter. {{storylink|07:00:00}} Following the death of [[Drunkatron|a Decepticon]], Iacon's population found itself on the verge of a riot; Moonracer attended another emergency meeting that saw Ironhide take command of the Badgeless. {{storylink|Applicable Skills}} She and Knock Out later attended a meeting where Ironhide reported on the progress of the new recruits. {{storylink|Things We Said We'd Never Do}} When [[Bruticus (G1)|Bruticus]] attacked Iacon, Moonracer and the other Council delegates were temporarily evacuated. {{storylink|The Line Between Us}}

The Council later met with Optimus to hear his side of the story. When Cybertron came under threat from a fleet of undead Titans, Moonracer helped repel the wave of cityformers. {{storylink|Ping}} As the fight dragged on with no end in sight, she put her speed to good use, ferrying the wounded [[Vanquish (G1)|Vanquish]] and his brother [[Fireshot (G1)|Fireshot]] to safety. Back at the Council's spire, Windblade revealed her intention to put together a strike team and breach Carcer, as [[Elita One (G1)|Elita One]] had refused to let her Titan join the fight. Moonracer was one of the 'bots who joined Windblade's crew. {{storylink|Desperate Times}} With [[Tigatron]] and Fireshot, the group reached Carcer's brain module only for the path to be barred by [[Obsidian (BM)|Obsidian]]. A perfect shot by Moonracer destroyed his left propeller before Fireshot ripped the other one off and the three held him down while Windblade merged with Carcer. To everyone's horror, the Titan was not Carcer but [[Vigilem]]! {{storylink|Desperate Measures (Till All Are One)|Desperate Measures}}

Nonetheless the three held down Obsidian despite his repeated warnings. When Moonracer expressed the belief that Vigilem taking full control would mean Windblade being unable to talk, Tigatron insisted that Windblade would stay plugged in until Cybertron was saved. As Windblade began to lose the mental duel, Elita One entered and emptied her weapon into Vigilem's brain module though too late to stop the Titan from freeing [[Liege Maximo]]. {{storylink|Rubicon}} Once the threat had passed, Moonracer was part of a smaller meeting to discuss why Elita had hid the existence of Liege Maximo and Vigilem. Moonracer found herself agreeing with Elita's logic that Cybertron had to be united to combat Maximo's inevitable return but believed that the people had a right to know the truth that the ancient Prime was free. Starscream ultimately had the deciding vote and opted to keep Maximo's freedom a secret. {{storylink|Heavy}}

The full Council later reconvened to meet with Optimus Prime as the Autobot leader discussed sharing Transformer technology with the [[Junkion (species)|Junkion]]s, who had recently arrived on Earth. Four million years ago, Moonracer tried to board the [[Ark (G1)|Ark]], while it was being attacked, with the rest of [[Elita One (G1)|Elita One]]'s team. The plan failed, and she and the others appeared to be destroyed.

Moonracer participated in a raid on one of [[Shockwave (G1)|Shockwave]]'s [[energon]] supply stores. She questioned Elita One's order to take only one stack and got herself stuck in a booby trap when she tried to steal more. As a result, the [[Female Autobots]]' continued existence was discovered by Shockwave, whom was tricked by [[Chromia (G1)|Chromia]] into freeing Moonracer. The two made their escape and joined up with [[Firestar (G1)|Firestar]] on the way back to their hidden base. Near, Elita One informed her soldiers they were being followed. Moonracer quickly located and shot down the [[Sentinel (G1)|offender]].

Trying to capture Elita One and with an idea of where the Female Autobots approximately hid, the Decepticons launched an attack. [[Rumble (G1)|Rumble]] caused the Female Autobots' underground base to collapse, with most of them in it. They survived, but were trapped inside. It was Moonracer's idea then to detonate the energon they stole in order to blast their way out. Following their escape, the team went in search of their leader and subsequently met up with a group of [[Earth]]-stationed Autobots who had come looking for [[Optimus Prime (G1)/Generation 1 cartoon continuity|their commander]]. Moonracer teamed up with her old friend [[Powerglide (G1)|Powerglide]]. Things went well until Shockwave decided he had enough and nearly caused Moonracer and several others to fall to their deaths. Fortunately, Optimus Prime and Elita One made a timely arrival and chased off the Decepticons.

With the Decepticons defeated and their underground headquarters destroyed, [[Alpha Trion (G1)|Alpha Trion]] relocated the Female Autobots to a new base of operations. {{storylink|The Search for Alpha Trion}}

While she hadn't made her way to full functionality, she was still quite capable, if perhaps too impetuous for her own good. The pair, along with [[Outback (G1)|Outback]], were at the [[Elite Guard]] [[Auxiliary Weapons Locker]] when [[Magnum]] and the surviving members of the Elite Guard turned up to pick up guns. When Cybertron came under threat from a fleet of undead Titans, Moonracer helped repel the wave of cityformers. {{storylink|Ping}} As the fight dragged on with no end in sight, she put her speed to good use, ferrying the wounded [[Vanquish (G1)|Vanquish]] and his brother [[Fireshot (G1)|Fireshot]] to safety. Back at the Council's spire, Windblade revealed her intention to put together a strike team and breach Carcer, as [[Elita One (G1)|Elita One]] had refused to let her Titan join the fight. Moonracer was one of the 'bots who joined Windblade's crew. {{storylink|Desperate Times}} With [[Tigatron]] and Fireshot, the group reached Carcer's brain module only for the path to be barred by [[Obsidian (BM)|Obsidian]]. A perfect shot by Moonracer destroyed his left propeller before Fireshot ripped the other one off and the three held him down while Windblade merged with Carcer. To everyone's horror, the Titan was not Carcer but [[Vigilem]]! {{storylink|Desperate Measures (Till All Are One)|Desperate Measures}}

Nonetheless the three held down Obsidian despite his repeated warnings. When Moonracer expressed the belief that Vigilem taking full control would mean Windblade being unable to talk, Tigatron insisted that Windblade would stay plugged in until Cybertron was saved. As Windblade began to lose the mental duel, Elita One entered and emptied her weapon into Vigilem's brain module though too late to stop the Titan from freeing [[Liege Maximo]]. {{storylink|Rubicon}} Once the threat had passed, Moonracer was part of a smaller meeting to discuss why Elita had hid the existence of Liege Maximo and Vigilem. Moonracer found herself agreeing with Elita's logic that Cybertron had to be united to combat Maximo's inevitable return but believed that the people had a right to know the truth that the ancient Prime was free. Starscream ultimately had the deciding vote and opted to keep Maximo's freedom a secret. {{storylink|Heavy}}

The full Council later reconvened to meet with Optimus Prime as the Autobot leader discussed sharing Transformer technology with the [[Junkion (species)|Junkion]]s, who had recently arrived on Earth. ==Synopsis==
The GoBot ground force heads for the [[Oregon]] state line to meet up with their airborne comrades, but are forestalled; [[Road Ranger]] has to pull them over as he's sucking up too much fuel hauling [[Treds]]'s tank form around. He makes sure everyone knows how stupid he thinks a tank form is, but Treds defends his choice of alternate mode, saying how useful his heavy artillery might be should they encounter any hostiles. [[Rest-Q (GoBots)|Rest-Q]] advises they should all take a break and the team prepares to go into auto-maintenance for the night. As they park, [[Small Foot]] and Road Ranger enjoy how peaceful it is on [[Earth]], something that feels like home. After Road Ranger continues to complain of fatigue, Rest-Q checks him over and notes that Road Ranger has a small fuel leak. However, neither of them is quite sure how his fuel line came to be damaged... Nearby, the [[BuggyMan|the Buggyman]] does nothing but stare silently into the dark as his teammates socialize and turn in for the night.

''In auto-maintenance, Small Foot sees [[Unicron|a malicious force]] that devours space and leaves pure nothing. It tears its way through the GoBots' realities, driving them not just to extinction but erasing the future they should have had.''

Small Foot wakes up with a start and realizes the Buggyman has gone AWOL. She drives off looking for him and in the process, a little whisper in her head telling her to carry on leads her to a ball of light, one that talks to her in a reassuring voice. [[Solarbot|The entity]] claims it has been searching for her and, like Small Foot, is on a mission to help its friends. As it agrees they need to head back to the GoBots' base camp, she sees a vision of its home—a pure and unsullied harmony of light, surrounded by the malicious dark—and she finds herself back at the camp, with far less time passed than it should have.

Meanwhile, the Buggyman is miles away and seemingly talking to himself in an abnormally calm and normal voice, about a sleeper in place, that Road Ranger's 'accident' had been timed to ensure they stopped near an "Oregon emplacement", and that sinister plots are afoot. In reality, he is using the metallic soil content in this part of [[Idaho]] to chat with his co-conspirator [[Zero]] on [[Gobotron]], a trans-dimensional transmission no other GoBot knew was still possible! Zero has a new Super Voyager body prepped for himself, which he plans to use in an upcoming "purge;" if Gobotron cannot be saved, the two villains are prepared to begin their race anew by themselves. Whatever the outcome of the mission though, the Buggyman's 'team-mates' are slated to be eliminated by The Buggyman's turboworm poison!

The next morning, [[Path Finder]] signals that her aerial team have found the Autobot [[Construction station|Ironworks Base]]. The road-bound team, driving off to rendezvous, also meet their ''own'' Autobot when a red sports car catches up with them. Not just any Autobot, Small Foot notes, but the famous [[Hot Rod (G1)/Marvel Comics continuity|Hot Rod]]! However, his Autobot insignia is a bit darker than the GoBots expected it to be... The BuggyMan snaps at his teammates, warning them not to reveal their true identities to the sports car as it approaches; it isn't one of the ''local'' Autobots. The team heeds the Buggyman words, and what turns out to really be the evil [[Tracks (SG)|Tracks]], annoyed the cars won't get out of his way, converts to his ''flying'' car mode and zooms past. The Buggyman explains what tipped him off to the negative-polarity Autobot's true identity: he detected no "[[spark]]" within him, as positive-polarity Autobots are known to have. Additionally, The Buggyman detects at least five other 'bots with similar energy signatures to Tracks's in the general area through his drones. Not liking the odds this presents, the GoBots continue on their way without making any attempts to engage the evil Cybertronians.

But as they drive, the GoBots realize they haven't heard anything more from their allies, which raises concerns. Concerns that get confirmed when they reach Ironworks and the locals, [[Stepper (SG)|Stepper]] and [[Nebulon (SG)|Nebulon]], open fire on them, unprovoked and from behind! They plead they're looking for [[Optimus Prime (G1)/Marvel Comics continuity|Optimus Prime]] but Stepper sneers that [[Optimus Prime (SG)|Optimus Prime]] is not the one they probably want to see. On Small Foot's suggestion, the team tries to get the drop on their attacker with their hand lasers, banking that Stepper won't realize they're actually armed. Unfortunately, Stepper's gaudy [[Golnium]] coating shrugs off the attack. Small Foot fears her early optimism has just doomed her team...

...when the entity from before steps in, granting her a shield that absorbs Stepper's shot in the same way his armor did theirs. The entity also informs the GoBots that they need to use the weaponry of ''this'' world to best their opponent. And that means hard projectiles, like the shells from a tank form.

Treds complies and fires, but his shot is more destructive than he intends, ''killing'' Nebulon and seriously wounding Stepper. Road Ranger has to keep a shocked Treds together, even as Stepper pleads for him to slay him too. Instead, Road Ranger subdues the enemy without killing him. To Treds's utter relief, Stepper explains that "Nebulon" was just a regular drone that he was using ventriloquism to make-believe was his fully-sentient partner. Everything seems to be alright— until [[Cliffjumper (G1)/Marvel Comics continuity|a stranger]] locks them in his gunsights.
