When the Build Team was in a battle with the Decepticon Commandos and losing badly to them, they resorted to combining into Landfill. Unfortunately, the Decepticons responded by forming Ruination and maintained the upper hand. The battle eventually got both combiners blasted underground in a place that was quickly filling up with oil.
*Landfill has three possible configurations, each providing him with different tools on his arms. They were not given official designations in English materials, but in Japan, they had specific monikers based on the character who formed the arms. The modes are:
**Heavy Load and Hightower as legs, while Grimlock provides arms. This is the most commonly used configuration. Known as "Hurricane Mode", Landfill's Japanese tech specs identify this mode as a multi-purpose form with the perfect balance of offensive and defensive power.
**Grimlock and Hightower as legs, with Heavy Load as arms. Used in "Sky-Byte Saves the Day". Referred to as "Typhoon Mode", this mode gives Landfill his highest offensive power.
**Grimlock and Heavy Load as legs, with Hightower as arms. Used in "Galvatron's Revenge" and "The Final Battle". This form, going by "Cyclone Mode", excels in close-quarters combat.
Animated Sideswipe is a re-deco of Animated Breakdown, itself a retool Animated Rodimus Prime. He is colored as an homage to G2 Sideswipe, with a predominantly black color scheme, and the letters, "SS", on his doors in Cybertronix. Sideswipe has a panel on his car hood/chest that allows you to switch between an Autobot sigil and an engine block. He comes with a cross-bow type accessory that fires two projectiles.

This mold was originally used for Animated Rodimus Prime, and that mold was retooled into Breakdown. Sideswipe was limited to 1500 pieces and sold in a set with Toxitron.

Notes
* Sideswipe is seen in the "The Great War" boardgame in the Transformers Animated: The AllSpark Almanac II. If an Autobot player lands on his spot, he gets 1000 Victory Points.
* Like a lot of the random incidentals in The AllSpark Almanac II, Sideswipe's head is designed by Bill Forster.
