'''Cybertron''' is the home planet of the [[Transformer]]s and (usually) the body of their creator, [[Primus]].

It has a number of moons (at least three). It began its existence circling a binary star in Alpha Centauri, but, in many continuities, has left that orbit.

==Generation 1==
===Marvel comics===

Here, Cybertron was the adopted form of [[Primus]]. This origin of the planet states that Primus trapped himself and [[Unicron]] in barren asteriods which they then shaped into their physical forms. In this continuity it does not seem that Primus designed his body to transform as it can in some others, but rather simply to be homeworld to his creations.

Cybertron in this continuity is [[Scale|roughly Saturn-sized]], as stated in the first issue. There are a number of difficulties with this, although we could chalk up all the improbabilities to Primus, who is a god after all, and can choose to ignore the laws of physics if he wants to.

====Significant locations====

Cybertron is organized into city-states, the largest and most important being Iacon. Others include Helix, Kalis, [[Kaon]], [[Polyhex]], [[Tarn]], and [[Vos]].

Beneath the sewers the [[Demons in the Darkness]] are locked away.

At the center of this Cybertron there is a room with a Huge head of Primus on the wall where he sleeps and is watched over by the [[Keeper]].

===Animated continuity===

As presented in the [[Generation 1]] animated series, Cybertron appeared [[Scale|considerably smaller than the planet Earth]]. Entirely metallic on the surface, some of the lowest levels of Cybertron consisted of rock and dirt, suggesting an organic beginning to the planet. Its gravity is light enough that humans are able to traverse the surface without any trouble, and it possesses a breathable atmosphere. Water, or at least a substance resembling it, is in evidence on the planet - lake and rivers have been shown to exist, albeit sparingly. Many levels below the surface is the energy-furnace, the [[Plasma Energy Chamber]], and at the heart of the planet is the spherical mega-computer, [[Vector Sigma]]. Cybertron is orbited by at least two unnamed moons, but its own place in the cosmos appears unfixed - in [[1984]], it was clearly shown to exist outside of the [[Milky Way]] galaxy; however, nine million years prior, [[Starscream]] and [[Jetfire|Skyfire]] had been able to fly from the planet to Earth under their own power, suggesting that it may drift freely through space, and had been passing through the Sol System at that point, going on to drift out of the galaxy over the ensuing millennia.

If the assorted colourful exclamations made by numerous Transformers are anything to go by, Cybertron also plays host to a vast array of fauna, including but not limited to: ant-droids, [[bolt-bat]]s, cyber-ducks, [[Dynametal duck|dynametal ducks]], electro-toads, glitch-mice, guineapigatrons, helio-hamsters, hydro-weasels, photovoltaic pussycats, retro-rats, robo-rats, sheepacrons, titanium moose-bots, turbo-foxes, zap-mice and [[robotopossum]]s.

In its earliest recorded days, twelve million years ago, Cybertron was a factory used by the multi-faced aliens the [[Quintesson]]s to manufacture their robot creations. Notably, the origins of the planet are never explicitly stated - the Quintessons may have built it, xenoformed an organic world, or colonised an existing metal planet. Whatever the case, after a million years, the Quintessons were forced to abandon Cybertron when their robots evolved true sentience and feelings, and knew they were being used as slaves, rebelling in the [[First Cybertonian War]]. The second war was soon to come, however, when the robots splintered into two factions - the peace-loving [[Autobot|Autobots]] and the war-mongering [[Decepticons]] - and began fighting amongst themselves. With the Autobots' innovation of transformation, they were able to win - or at least stalemate - the war, and a period of peace descended on Cybertron, which shone with a healthy golden glow, distinguishing the period as the "[[Golden Age]]."

Eventually, however, Decepticons adopted transformation as well, along with robot-mode flight powers, and around nine million years ago, the creation of the Decepticon [[Megatron (G1)|Megatron]] re-ignited the war on Cybertron. Megatron rallied like-minded individuals to his cause, and brainwashed others into his service, quickly killing the current Autobot leader in a strke on one of Iacon's outer cities. With this act kept out of the public knowledge, rumours circulated as Autobot machinesmith [[Alpha Trion]] worked dilligently on a new process to reconstruct Autobots into battle-hardy configurations for the war he knew was coming. That war finally erupted in full when Megatron fatally injured a naive young dock worker, [[Orion Pax]], and Alpha Trion made him the first subject of his new process, reconstructing him into [[Optimus Prime]], who would lead the Autobots in the [[Third Cybertronian War]].

After a further five million years of war, during which many Autobots fled the planet, the Decepticons had acquired a large hold on the planet, with the majority of it under their control. The main Autobot force continued to operate from the capital city-state of Iacon, but Cybertron's energy levels were depleted to a dangerous low, necessitating a space mission to locate a new planet with new sources of energy that the Transformers could harness. Optimus Prime led his best and brightest on [[Ark (G1)|The Ark]], but they were pursued by Megatron's elite troops, and all were stranded in stasis on Earth for four million years.

In the ensuing four million years, Shockwave, who Megatron had left in charge as guardian of the planet, maintained the Decepticon hold on the planet, though he was unaware of the continued guerilla efforts of [[Elita One (G1)|Elita One]]'s [[Female Autobots]] to undermine him as they raided his energy supplies. Eventually, Cybertron's energy level dipped so low as to put the planet in immediate, mortal danger. Re-establishing contact with Megatron, who had awoken with the other Transformers on Earth in the year 1984, Shockwave co-designed the [[Space Bridge]], an intergalactic transport system that could transport [[Energon]] Cubes from Earth to Cybertron, abating the planet's impending doom.

Cybertron's place in the universe was forcibly altered in 1984 when the Decepticons constructed a colossal Space Bridge that actually transported the entire planet into the Sol system, into Earth's orbit, where its gravity wreaked havoc with the planet's natural balance, unleashing an uneding torrent of energy created by natural disasters. The energy acquired re-energised Cybertron enough to put it out of the danger zone, but the planet was soon knocked out of orbit by a massive Energon explosion, and set drifting off through the solar system. At this closer ranger, Cybertron remained easily accessed throughout 1985 at least, with the Autobots now able to reach it by conventional transportation ([[Omega Supreme]]), rather than having to constantly hijack use of the spacebridge.

By the Earth year 2005, Cybertron had exited the Sol system, but, remaining within the Milky Way, was still relatively easily accessible by shuttlecraft from Earth. By this time, the Decepticon forces had succeeded in conquering the entire planet, forcing all the Autobots off it, leading them to relocate to [[Autobot City]] on Earth, and to two staging ground bases on two of Cybertron's moons. It was at this time that Cybertron came under attack from the world-eater, [[Unicron]], who consumed the two moonbases and assaulted Cybertron itself, only to be destroyed by the power of the [[Matrix_of_Leadership|Autobot Matrix of Leadership]]. His deactivated, decapitated head fell into orbit around Cybertron, a grisly new satellite to replace those he had destroyed. With the Decepticon forces in disarray after Unicron's attack, [[Rodimus Prime]] and his troops succeeded in driving their foes off Cybertron, reclaiming the planet for the Autobots, restoring and re-energising much of the planet by 2006, when the world came under frequent attacks from the returning Quintessons, whose previously-secret history with the Transformers came to light.

In the year 2007, Cybertron was once again wrenched from its place in space when [[Galvatron]] and the Decepticons invaded the planet and constructed a massive planetary engine that propelled Cybertron back into Earth orbit once more. Once there, Galvatron opened the Plasma Energy Chamber, intending for the energy release to drive the Sun supernova, consuming Earth, Cybertron and everything else in one final destructive blow. [[Spike Witwicky]] and the Autobots' [[Nebulan]] allies were able to stop this plan by reversing the rocket engine, which drained off the excess solar energy and channeled it straight into Vector Sigma, which used it to full re-energise Cybertron. Its rich golden hue restored, Cybertron entered a new Golden Age.

====Japanese continuity====
While the American ''Transformers'' series was concluded with the three-part miniseries, "[[The Rebirth]]", depicting the 2007 events noted above, in Japan it was opted to continue the series, and so "The Rebirth" was disregarded in favour of producing ''[[Headmasters (cartoon)|Transformers: The Headmasters]]'', a full-length 35-episode series set in the year 2011.

In 2011, it was discovered that the release of the energy of the Matrix by Optimus Prime to cure the [[Hate Plague]] had much more far-reaching consequences that anyone suspected. With the Matrix's energy depleted, Vector Sigma's balance - permanently tilted in favour of the Autobots by the existence of the Matrix - was reset to neutrality, allowing the Decepticons, bolstered by their new [[Headmaster]] troops, to freely invade Cybertron ''(known as '''Seibertron''' in Japan)''. Eventually, this forced Optimus Prime to sacrifice his life by merging with Vector Sigma in order to stabilise the computer before it destroyed Cybertron from within.

Not long thereafter, Vector Sigma developed a new metal alloy dubbed Cybertonuron, which enticed Galvatron into another raid on the planet. However, the Decepticon Headmaster leader, [[Zarak]], feared the power that Galvatron would gain from the alloy, and so, to prevent either him or the Autobots from obtaining it, arranged for his Headmasters to plant bombs at the core of the planet, within Vector Sigma's chamber. The Autobots were unable to stop the countdown and the bombs detonating, tearing Cybertron apart and leaving it a charred uninhabitable ruin drifting in space.

Some time ago, the constant fighting and the stripping of Cybertron's natural resources by both Autobot and Decepticon to feed their age-long war led to a terrible [[Thunderwing (G1)#IDW comics continuity|cataclysm]] that rendered Cybertron uninhabitable. As of the present day, it is a dead planet.

With no atmosphere, Cybertron's surface is unprotected from cosmic radiation and is wracked by plasma storms. Transformers must divert energy to their personal shielding in order to remain on the surface for short periods; the surface is presumably immediately lethal for humans. The Transformer race has abandoned the planet (save for occasional scientific surveys from orbit) and is now conducting its conflict across the galaxy.

==Beast Era==

Little is directly known about Beast Wars era Cybertron, aside from what can be inferred from Generation 1.
It IS in orbit around a star which it shares with several other unnamed planets. It has several moons, one with big gashes in its surface.

300 years after the signing of the Pax Cybertronia, the Maximals dominate Cybertron. The Maximal city of [[Cybertropolis]] had been build over the ruins of [[Iacon]]. [[Six Lasers Over Cybertron]] is an amusement park found there in this era. Among the examples of cultural refinement are some joints where the servers go around without their torso plates on.

[[Beast Machines]] returned to Cybertron, and likewise described it as once a natural world, hosting organic life (including gigantic bat and eagle-like creatures). Some of that life was apparently sentient since the [[Oracle]] computer foretold the coming of robots to the planet. What exactly happened to this world remains a mystery, though it could also be theorized that the [[Quintesson]]s terraformed and converted the planet to the entirely robotic/metallic city-world we know. The only remains of organic life were a few remnants of plant life far, far below, and a strange green organic ooze buried deep beneath the rocky core of the world that had the ability to enhance the life force of any living thing and super-charge organic growth.

The presence of fossilised animal remains and bones deep in the planet's interior has not yet been given an official explanation. It remains a mystery as to how Nightscream was able to not only copy a bat's anatomy, but also extract DNA unless of course it was coincidence that such a similar lifeform could have existed on Cybertron in an organic state millenia before. However, the chances of finding intact DNA after such a length of time makes this suggestion highly improbable.

At the end of Beast Machines the planet was transformed into a new [[Technorganic]] state.

==Unicron Trilogy==

In the Unicron Trilogy's animated continuity, Cybertron is revealed to be the body of [[Primus]]. Much like the versions of Cybertron before it, it is a metallic planet that is damaged by conflict. Cybertron existed in an unnamed system until the ''Energon'' series, where it was pulled from orbit and pushed into another part of space (or universe) that [[Alpha Quintesson]] had created.

In ''Energon'', Cybertron was equipped with a system of [[Energon Tower]]s that could surround the planet with a protective field, which has since been disabled due to Decepticon attack.

Cybertron had at least one known moon in the ''Armada'' series, but this moon turned out to be Unicron. It is unknown whether it was always Unicron's depowered body, or if the moon somehow became a new "host" body for him.

Through the ages, Cybertron has had many repairs, causing new "layers" to be added to the surface of the planet. Deep within the core is a pool of [[Super Energon]] that was once guarded by the four ancient combiners, [[Constructicon Maximus]], and [[Bruticus Maximus]], [[Superion Maximus]], and his unnamed brother.

At the end of the ''Energon'' series, Cybertron was granted a new sun when Primus trapped Unicron's spark within a ball of Super Energon, igniting it. This sun would eventually colapse, becoming the [[Unicron Singularity]].

It is unknown how large Cybertron is in this continuity, but it is most likely [[Scale|the size of Earth or smaller]]. Cybertron has an atmosphere, but it was unbreathable by Earth life forms as when [[Rad White|Rad]], [[Carlos Lopez|Carlos]] and [[Alexis]] visited the planet in 2010, they required spacesuits to operate on the surface; by 2020, however, humans were capable of surviving without specialised suits, indicating that an oxygen/nitrogen-based atmopshere may have somehow been generated by the planet or created by Transformers or humans artificially.

In the ''Cybertron'' series, much of the planet had been repaired, including the construction of a "[[Sky Dome]]" headquarters where important meetings are held. This structure housed the artifacts that were used to mount the [[Omega Lock]], which unlocks the robot form of Cybertron.

Cybertron was a world where mechanical creatures were brought to life by a device known as the [[All Spark]]. The origins of the All Spark were lost to the mysteries of time. On Cybertron, the Cybertronians were a peaceful people, lead by [[Optimus Prime (Movie)|Optimus Prime]] and [[Megatron (Movie)|Lord Megatron]]. The two brothers created a balance; Prime was fair while Megatron was firm.

However, Megatron had a desire for conquest, while Prime believed in protecting weaker races. Megatron raised an army, the Decepticons, and sought to take the All Spark to conquer the universe. Prime raised his own army, the Autobots, and in the war that followed, Cybertron was decimated. Prime eventually sent the All Spark through a wormwhole into deep space, and Megatron persued it. Both were lost. Without the All Spark's power, Cybertron became a dead world. The Autobots and the Decepticons scattered across the galaxy, hoping to either create a new world or locate the All Spark and restore Cybertron. {{Storylink|Transformers (2007)}}

On the day that Sam's [[Bumblebee (Movie)|new car]] chased him around town, she was enjoying an evening of television and a little drinking with her husband when Sam came home three minutes past his curfew. Judy felt that he should be grounded for this, but Ron -- what a pushover -- let him off the hook. While the Autobots milled around in her back yard (and crushed her new water fountain), Sam and [[Mikaela Banes|Mikaela]] snuck into Sam's room to look for [[Archibald Witwicky]]'s [[glasses]]. Just a few minutes later [[Ratchet (Movie)|Ratchet]] accidentally stumbled into the house's power lines, cutting the block's electricity, and fell down. Ron thought it was an earthquake and took cover under the dining room table. Amazed and still sitting on the couch, Judy looked over to him and asked, "How'd you get over there so fast?"

Just a moment later, they headed upstairs to Sam's room, from where noises and lights were originating. She begged Sam to open his locked door before Ron started counting. Just before Ron reached zero, Sam opened up. Judy asked him why he was all grimey and sweaty. He was acting strangely. She asked -- not judgementally, just trying to get to the bottom of things -- if he'd been masturbating. She seemed to be the only person not embarassed by this. Eventually, Mikaela -- who had been hiding -- stood up to try to explain things. Judy was delighted to realize that Sam had been hiding a girl in his room. She complimented Mikaela and apologized for making her sit through their "family discussion". Mikaela told Sam she thought his mother was very nice.

Sam and Mikaela then went down to get his backpack from the kitchen, but they were inturrupted when [[Sector Seven|government agents]] swarmed the house, stepping all over her flower beds, and started asking questions. Judy bravely stood up to the men, threatening to kick their asses for touching her plants, but eventually the whole family was carted off.

Much later, after the [[Decepticon]]s were defeated, Judy and Ron were interviewed for a newscast of some sort. They pish-poshed the idea that aliens had been tromping around the area, and expressed their faith that the government would let us know about that sort of thing if it were going on. After the interview, Judy awkwardly pointed out that their interviewer's head is a different shape in person than on TV.

Though they passed a Porsche car lot, Ron was actually playing a cruel joke on his son (real smart, considering that he'll eventually get [[wikipedia:Power of attorney|power of attorney]] someday). Going to [[Bobby Bolivia]]'s car lot, they went shopping for a used car. Sam spotted a Camaro that he liked, but Ron, ever the cheap man, refused to go over four thousand dollars. However, when all the windows in the car lot suddenly exploded, Bolivia agreed to four thousand.

Taking his friend [[Miles]] to the lake, they encountered Mikaela and her boyfriend [[Trent]]. Trent pretty much told them to get lost, but Mikaela then dumped Trent. Realizing he had his one shot, Sam abanonded Miles and offered to give Mikaela a ride home. When his car had some engine trouble, Mikaela looked under the hood and was quite impressed with the layout of the Camaro's engine, though Sam was more impressed with the layout of Mikaela.

Later that night, his car suddenly left. Believing it was being stolen, Sam followed it to an abandoned junkyard. To his shock and horror, the car was [[Transformer|alive]]. Sam left his last words to his parents and [[Mojo]], then investigated. Some police came and arrested him, and an overzealous cop, believing him to be a junkie, ripped him a new one. Returning home, Satan's Camaro arrived, and Sam fled ignomiously on his mother's pink bike. He hit the cement hard in front of Mikaela, and soon found a police car. He demanded the officer's help... at which point said police car turned into [[Barricade (Movie)|an even scarier car]]. The cop car demanded the location of Sam's eBay items, but Sam fled and ran into Mikaela. The Camaro arrived and took them to a power plant, where the two cars fought it out, while Sam was chased by [[Frenzy (Movie)|a spastic abomination]] who pantsed him. Mikaela was able to cut it's head off, which Sam punted. Sam and Mikaela approached the Camaro, who could only speak through his radio, and were escorted to an abandoned alley, where they met the biggest surprises of them all. Four other cars [[Transformation|transformed]] into robots. The lead robot, after inquiring about Sam's identity, introduced himself as [[Optimus Prime (Movie)|Optimus Prime]] and his companions as the Autobots, autonomous robotic lifeforms from [[Cybertron (planet)|the planet Cybertron]]. Prime introduced [[Jazz (Movie)|Jazz]], his first lieutenant, [[Ironhide (Movie)|Ironhide]], the weapons expert, [[Ratchet (Movie)|Ratchet]], the medical officer, and identified the Camaro as Bumblebee, Sam's appointed guardian. Optimus explained their mission to locate the [[All Spark]], [[Megatron (Movie)|Megatron]] and the [[Decepticon]]s, and how Archibald Witwicky's [[glasses]] played a vital role in finding the All Spark.

Going to his house, Sam frantically searched for the glasses, but the Autobots were somewhat impatient and totally wrecked his dad's backyard. After finding the glasses, government agents arrived. Their leader, [[Reggie Simmons|Agent Simmons]], took Sam and Mikaela into custody, separating Sam from his parents. Simmons went bad cop on Sam, threatening him with life imprisonment and revealing Mikaeala's criminal record. Just as Simmons demanded answers about aliens, Prime intercepted the convoy, and the Autobots totally outclassed the agents. Sam demanded to know what [[Sector Seven]] was, but a backup team arrived. Prime took Sam and Mikaela to hide under a bridge, but they nearly fell to their deaths. Bumblebee saved them, but was captured, and Sam and Mikaela recaptured.

Taken to [[Hoover Dam]], Simmons tried the akward role of good cop, but Sam was uninterested in talking. [[Tom Banachek]] tried to bribe him, and Sam demanded the freeing of Bumblebee, his parents, and the expunging of Mikaela's criminal record. Taking them into the Dam, Sector Seven showed them [[N.B.E.-1]], who Sam recognized as Megatron. he explained Megatron's goals, and the purpose of the All Spark. However, the spastic abomination that pantsed him sent a message to the Decepticons, who attacked. Sam implored Sector Seven to release Bumblebee, saying he could help, which [[William Lennox|Captian Lennox]] assisted by putting a gun to Simmon's chest. Bumblebee converted the All Spark to a smaller form, the soldiers escorted the two teens and Bumblebee to [[Mission City]], soon augmented by the Autobots.

Upon reaching Mission City, an F-22 Raptor was spotted, which Ironhide recongized as [[Starscream (Movie)|Starscream]]. Starscream attacked, damaging Bumblebee's legs, and [[Brawl (Movie)|a tank]] attacked the soldiers. Megatron soon arrived and killed Jazz, and Lennox ordered Sam to take the All Spark to a building to be escorted out of the city. Sam was persued by Megatron, Starscream, and [[Blackout (Movie)|a helicopter]]. Reaching the building, Sam ignited a flare, but his ride was destroyed by Starscream. Megatron demanded the All Spark, in exchange for living to be his pet (causing [[Ravage|other]] [[Laserbeak|pets]] to weep uncontrollably), but Sam refused. Megatron used his flail to knock Sam off the roof, but Sam was saved by Optimus Prime. Prime thanked Sam for his efforts, and told him that if he couldn't defeat Megatron, Sam was to merge the Cube with his [[spark]], destroying both Prime and the All Spark. However, Megatron was too powerful for Optimus to defeat alone, and Prime told Sam to give him the All Spark. Instead, Sam merged the All Spark with Megatron, killing him. Optimus extended his thanks, telling him he owed Sam a debt of gratitude. Bumblebee, who could now speak, requested permission to stay with Sam, to which Sam eagerly agreed. Sam and Mikaela entered into a relationship, and made out on Bumblebee's hood while Ironhide and Ratchet observed.

After losing touch with Bumblebee, Prime went down to locate him, where they were attacked by [[Starscream (Movie)|Starscream]] and the alien ship. They fell into a cavern network, where they were attacked by [[sandworm|indigenous worms]].

Coming across the alien vessel, Prime and Bumblebee communicated with its crew. Prime explained that they came in peace, "freedom if the right of all sentient beings", Starscream tricks everyone, and so on. However, the creatures, who called themselves "[[human]]s", explained that they held Megatron, who they called the Ice Man, on their homeworld, [[Earth]]. Realizing the destruction Megatron would wreak upon the humans if he escaped, and that the humans would be unable to effectively defend themselves, Prime vowed to see them return to their world to warn it. In the insuing battle with the Decepticons, the humans saved Prime's life by attacking Starscream, who destroyed them. The leader of the Autobots, Optimus Prime came to Earth shortly after [[Bumblebee (Movie)|Bumblebee]] sent his comrades a beacon. After scanning the form of an Earth truck and reconfiguring his body to transform into it, Prime, [[Jazz (Movie)|Jazz]], [[Ratchet (Movie)|Ratchet]], and [[Ironhide (Movie)|Ironhide]] met up with Bumblebee and his human friends, [[Sam Witwicky]] and [[Mikaela Banes]] in an alley. Transforming before the stunned humans, he introduced himself, his team, and why Sam is important to their search for the [[All Spark]].

Glasses that belonged to Sam's ancestor, [[Archibald Amundsen Witwicky|Captain Archibald Witwicky]], contain the location of the All Spark encoded across its lenses, so Optimus Prime ordered his troops to wait outside Sam's house while Sam and Mikaela searched inside for the glasses. Much to Sam's exasperation, Optimus Prime, in his impatience, clumsily ruined his parents' garden, and the Autobots' heavy footsteps convinced them there was an earthquake. Despite all this, their presence remained undetected until [[Sector Seven]] arrived (in a convoy of GMC Yukon's) and abducted Sam, Mikaela, and Sam's parents.

Optimus Prime sent the Autobots in pursuit of the SUV that contained Sam, Mikaela, and Sector Seven's director, [[Reggie Simmons|Agent Simmons]]. Prime intercepted the vehicle carrying their young human friends, with the other Autobots disarming the agents, and Optimus attempted to interrogate Simmons. The agents lack of surprise at their appearance indicated that they had seen Cybertronians before, but Simmons refused to reveal any information. With a Sector Seven backup team enroute, Prime ordered the Autobots to scatter, while he took Sam and Mikaela. While hiding under a bridge, Mikaela and Sam slipped and fell off Prime's shoulder. Bumblebee managed to catch them before impact, but was captured, and Sam and Mikaela recaptured, by the organization after their retreat.

Optimus Prime, now in possession of the glasses which can tell him the location of the All Spark, regrettably leaves Bumblebee in Sector Seven's hands, knowing that if they go after him, they will have to use deadly force. Jazz objected to leaving Bumblebee behind, and Ironhide seemed okay with using deadly force, stating the humans are too violent, but Prime remind him of the Cybertronians [[Cybertronian Civil Wars|own violent history]]. He also reveals to the Autobots his real plan for the All Spark: if they cannot defeat the Decepticons, Prime intends to merge the Cube with his [[spark]]. Though this would destroy the All Spark, Ratchet cautions Prime against this, as it would also kill him, but Prime had made his decision. The glasses place the All Spark at [[Hoover Dam]] where, luckily, Bumblebee and the young humans were taken.

Optimus Prime's team meets up with Sector Seven, Bumblebee, Sam, and Mikaela en route, who have planned to hide the All Spark in nearby [[Mission City]]. While on the highway, he is attacked by [[Bonecrusher (Movie)|Bonecrusher]], who manages to tackle Optimus and drag him over the edge of a freeway overpass. During the battle, Optimus struck the hate filled Transformer so hard his [[optic]] popped out. As the Decepticon swung his claw wildly, Optimus drew his sword from his right arm and sliced off one of Bonecrusher's arms, before brutally finishing off his enemy by driving the blade through Bonecrusher's neck, severing his head.

Optimus arrived at Mission City just in time to observe Megatron discarding the remains of [[Jazz (Movie)|Jazz]]. Millennia in the ice had done nothing to lessen Megatron's hatred of his brother, and he launch himself in jet mode at the Autobot leader. Optimus leapt and grabbed ahold of the wings, which was a really bad idea as Megatron drove himself and Prime through an office block. Prime managed to get a shot off at Megatron, but the Decepticon's cannon threw Prime across the street into another building, allowing Megatron to resume the hunt for Sam.

After saving Sam from falling off a building, Optimus told the boy that if he could not defeat Megatron, Sam must put the All Spark into his chest which would destroy it. As Sam made his escape, Optimus faced down Megatron and informed him that at the end of the day, "One shall stand, One shall fall". Unfortunately, Megatron, even after years of stasis, proved to be far too powerful for Prime to defeat alone. The unit led by Lennox and the Raptor squadron laid down suppressing fire as Megatron reached for the All Spark, until Optimus finally took him down by sweeping his legs. As the two crawling robots lumbered after the cube, Optimus implored to Sam to put the All Spark into his chest. Sam instead thrust it into Megatrons chest, eventually killing the Decepticon leader and destroying the All Spark. As Optimus watched his brother die, he regretfully said there was little other choice. He also told Sam he owed him a debt of gratitide for saving his life, and granted Bumblebee's request to allow him to remain with Sam Witwicky.

Though Megatron and his Decepticons were defeated, the All Spark was destroyed, leaving the Autobots unable to restore Cybertron. The Autobots elected to remain on Earth, and Optimus Prime sent a message to any surviving Autobots in the Galaxy to come to their new home, their search finally having come to an end. As the other Autobots rested (and watched Sam and Mikaela makeout) Optimus Prime looked to the sky, hoping his message had been heard.

Optimus Prime provides intelligence and missions to Bumblebee in his search for the All Spark. Eventually, the clues lead the Autobot to Sam Witwicky. After saving Sam from Barricade, Bumblebee finally completes preparations for the Autobots to arrive on Earth.

Once on Earth, and having informed the two teenagers of their mission, Prime and the Autobots are discovered by Sector 7. Optimus sends Jazz on a high-speed <strike>destruction</strike> distraction mission, then sends Ironhide to rescue Jazz from a double-threat posed by the government agents and various Decepticon scouts.

When Bumblebee is captured, Prime transforms and chases the chopper which from which the small Autobot is tied. After a lengthy chase, Prime manages to catch the net, only to be thrown off by another Cybertronian meteor. As Bumblebee is carried away, Optimus promises he will not fail him again. Jazz informs him that the meteor is not an Autobot. Prime confronts the new threat, who turns out to be the Decepticon triplechanger [[Shockwave (Movie)|Shockwave]]. The two battle it out across [[Tranquility]] before Optimus finally destroys him. But not without overhearing [[Starscream (Movie)|Starscream]]'s transmission revealing the location of the All Spark.

Optimus then returned to an intel role as he guided Bumblebee in his mission to retrieve the All Spark from Hoover dam. Unfortunately, the Decepticons manage to free Megatron, leading to the final battle in Mission City.

As the Autobots battle it out with the Decepticons to protect Sam and the All Spark, things seem to take a turn for the worst as Megatron finally arrives. But before he can claim the cube, Optimus attacks him.

The two battle it out until Megatron is finally on the ground, seemingly devoid of life. Optimus then kneels to take the All Spark from Sam. Megatron however awakens, leaping at Optimus with his chain-flail out. Optimus grips the chain, pulling Megatron in closer, and with the All Spark clutched in his fist, delivers a punch through Megatron's spark. As Megatron dies, Optimus reflects on the losses and rewards of this battle, as the Autobots have a new home. Optimus plans to guard the humans in secret, "For freedom is the right of all sentient beings."

Note: If played in Decepticon mode, Optimus is beaten to the ground, and as he crawls for the All Spark, Megatron smashes his head with his flail before using the cube to destroy humanity.

A flame decoration piece fits to the back of the 'vehicle', creating the illusion of a flaming comet's tail. The bottom of the vehicle has small wheels to roll the toy across smooth surfaces. Oddly, it has NO [[automorph]] gimmick at all, a feature most main-line figures have.

At this point yellow LEDs light up the chest windows and Optimus Prime's eyes, accompanied by a 'powering up' sound effect.

Jazz was part of Optimus Prime's unit, summoned to Earth by [[Bumblebee (Movie)|Bumblebee]] after the latter Autobot came to be in the possession of [[Samuel James Witwicky|Sam Witwicky]]. After his [[protoform]] crashed through a baseball stadium, he investigated a nearby car dealership and chose a Pontiac Solstice hardtop as his vehicle mode. Linking up with his fellow Autobots in a deserted alley Jazz greeted Sam and [[Mikaela Banes]] as "little bitches," stating that Earth seems to be a cool place to hang out. He casually sat on the hood of another car while Optimus Prime explained to Sam their mission to find the [[All Spark]] and how his [[Archibald Amundsen Witwicky|grandfather's]] glasses were the key to its location.

Soon after, as Sam looked for his grandfather's glasses, the Autobots attempted to assist by clumsily destroying the yard where they went. When it came to hide from [[Ronald Witwicky|Sam's]] [[Judy Witwicky|parents]], Jazz had the easiest time blending into the shadows due to his small stature.

When Sam and Mikaela were captured by [[Sector Seven]], the Autobots mounted a rescue that saw Optimus Prime tearing the roof off [[Reggie Simmons|Agent Simmons']] vehicle. When the agents attempted to resist, Jazz used a magnet to relieve the humans of their weapons. After Bumblebee was captured by Sector Seven during the retreat, Jazz expressed his desire to rescue him, but was overruled by Optimus Prime, who didn't believe it possible to accomplish this without harming the humans, and so they should let them go.

The next day, after Optimus used his navigation scanner on Archibald Witwicky's glasses, Jazz again commented that they could not leave Bumblebee to die at the hands of Sector Seven, to become a human experiment. Optimus replied that Bumblebee would die in vain if they did not find the All Spark, and when Ironhide asked if the primitive and cruel humans deserved to be saved, Optimus countered by asking if Transformers were so different in the past. Going on to explain what he saw in the humans, Prime declared that if it came to it, he would sacrifice himself to destroy the All Spark - the humans should not pay for Cybertron's mistakes. Inspired by his words, Jazz and the other Autobots rolled out, filled with determination.

On the way to [[Hoover Dam]], the Autobots encountered Bumblebee leading a column of Sector Seven assault vehicles. Jazz and his fellow Autobots applied brakes and did a hard u-turn to join the formation.

Entering [[Mission City]], the [[William Lennox|human]] [[Robert Epps|soldiers]] tried to call for air support from their own forces, only to be attacked by [[Starscream (Movie)|Starscream]] disguised as a human F-22 fighter. Jazz, oddly, sat in vehicle mode after the explosion which crippled Bumblebee, destroying his legs. When [[Brawl (Movie)|Devastator]] began shelling the battle site, Jazz sped to the tank in vehicle mode, then transformed and hopped on top of the turret to distract the Decepticon from the humans. As Devastator also transformed, Jazz managed to wreck Devastator's left-side rocket launcher pod before being tossed off.

Jazz then attacked [[Megatron (Movie)|Megatron]] when he appeared on the scene, but all he got for his trouble was being blasted by the Decepticon's fusion cannon. As Ironhide and Ratchet escorted Sam and the All Spark to safety, Jazz attempted to buy them some time by taking on Megatron by himself but was completely overmatched. The Decepticon leader tossed him through the air, then landed upon him into the crushing grip of his talons. Valiantly, Jazz fought on to the bitter end as Megatron tore him in two.

The leader of the Autobots, Optimus Prime came to Earth shortly after [[Bumblebee (Movie)|Bumblebee]] sent his comrades a beacon. After scanning the form of an Earth truck and reconfiguring his body to transform into it, Prime, [[Jazz (Movie)|Jazz]], [[Ratchet (Movie)|Ratchet]], and [[Ironhide (Movie)|Ironhide]] met up with Bumblebee and his human friends, [[Sam Witwicky]] and [[Mikaela Banes]] in an alley. Transforming before the stunned humans, he introduced himself, his team, and why Sam is important to their search for the [[All Spark]].

Glasses that belonged to Sam's ancestor, [[Archibald Amundsen Witwicky|Captain Archibald Witwicky]], contain the location of the All Spark encoded across its lenses, so Optimus Prime ordered his troops to wait outside Sam's house while Sam and Mikaela searched inside for the glasses. Much to Sam's exasperation, Optimus Prime, in his impatience, clumsily ruined his parents' garden, and the Autobots' heavy footsteps convinced them there was an earthquake. Despite all this, their presence remained undetected until [[Sector Seven]] arrived (in a convoy of GMC Yukon's) and abducted Sam, Mikaela, and Sam's parents.

Optimus Prime sent the Autobots in pursuit of the SUV that contained Sam, Mikaela, and Sector Seven's director, [[Reggie Simmons|Agent Simmons]]. Prime intercepted the vehicle carrying their young human friends, with the other Autobots disarming the agents, and Optimus attempted to interrogate Simmons. The agents lack of surprise at their appearance indicated that they had seen Cybertronians before, but Simmons refused to reveal any information. With a Sector Seven backup team enroute, Prime ordered the Autobots to scatter, while he took Sam and Mikaela. While hiding under a bridge, the humans fell off Prime, nearly dying. Bumblebee managed to catch them before impact, but was captured, and Sam and Mikaela recaptured, by the organization after their retreat.

Optimus Prime, now in possession of the glasses which can tell him the location of the All Spark, regrettably leaves Bumblebee in Sector Seven's hands, knowing that if they go after him, they will have to use deadly force. Jazz objected to leaving Bumblebee behind, and Ironhide seemed okay with using deadly force, stating the humans are too violent, but Prime remind him of the Cybertronians [[Cybertronian Civil Wars|own violent history]]. He also reveals to the Autobots his real plan for the All Spark: if they cannot defeat the Decepticons, Prime intends to merge the Cube with his [[spark]]. Though this would destroy the All Spark, Ratchet cautions Prime against this, as it would also kill him, but Prime had made his decision. The glasses place the All Spark at [[Hoover Dam]] where, luckily, Bumblebee and the young humans were taken.

Optimus Prime's team meets up with Sector Seven, Bumblebee, Sam, and Mikaela en route, who have planned to hide the All Spark in nearby [[Mission City]]. While on the highway, he is attacked by [[Bonecrusher (Movie)|Bonecrusher]], who manages to tackle Optimus and drag him over the edge of a freeway overpass. As the Decepticon swung his claw wildly, Optimus drew his sword from his right arm and sliced off one of Bonecrusher's arms, before brutally finishing off his enemy by driving the blade through Bonecrusher's neck, severing his head.

Optimus arrived at Mission City just in time to observe Megatron discarding the remains of [[Jazz (Movie)|Jazz]] and launch himself in jet mode at the Autobot leader. Optimus leapt and grabbed ahold of the wings, which was a really bad idea as Megatron drove himself and Prime through an office block.

After saving Sam from falling off a building, Optimus told the boy that if he could not defeat Megatron, Sam must put the All Spark into his chest which would destroy it. As Sam made his escape, Optimus faced down Megatron and informed him that at the end of the day, One shall stand, One shall fall. Unfortunately, Megatron proves to be far too powerful for Prime to defeat alone. The unit led by Lennox and the Raptor squadron laid down suppressing fire as Megatron reached for the All Spark, until Optimus finally took him down by sweeping his legs. As the two crawling robots lumbered after the cube, Optimus implored to Sam to put the All Spark into his chest. Sam instead thrusts it into Megatrons chest, eventually killing the Decepticon leader and destroying the All Spark. As Optimus watched his brother die, he regretfully said there was little other choice.

Though Megatron and his Decepticons were defeated, the All Spark was lost, leaving the Autobots unable to restore Cybertron. The Autobots elected to remain on Earth, and Optimus Prime sent a message to any surviving Autobots in the Galaxy to come to their new home. As the other Autobots rested (and watched Sam and Mikaela makeout) Optimus Prime looked to the sky, hoping his message had been heard.

Optimus Prime provides intelligence and missions to Bumblebee in his search for the All Spark. Eventually, the clues lead the Autobot to Sam Witwicky. After saving Sam from Barricade, Bumblebee finally completes preparations for the Autobots to arrive on Earth.

Once on Earth, and having informed the two teenagers of their mission, Prime and the Autobots are discovered by Sector 7. Optimus sends Jazz on a high-speed distraction mission, then sends Ironhide to rescue Jazz from a double-threat posed by the government agents and various Decepticon scouts.

When Bumblebee is captured, Prime transforms and chases the chopper which from which the small Autobot is tied. After a lengthy chase, Prime manages to catch the net, only to be thrown off by another Cybertronian meteor. As Bumblebee is carried away, Optimus promises he will not fail him again. Jazz informs him that the meteor is not an Autobot. Prime confronts the new threat, who turns out to be the Decepticon triplechanger [[Shockwave (Movie)|Shockwave]]. The two battle it out across [[Tranquility]] before Optimus finally destroys him. But not without overhearing [[Starscream (Movie)|Starscream]]'s transmission revealing the location of the All Spark.

Optimus then returned to an intel role as he guided Bumblebee in his mission to retieve the All Spark from Hoover dam. Unfortunately, the Decepticons manage to free Megatron, leading to the final battle in Mission City.

As the Autobots battle it out with the Decepticons to protect Sam and the All Spark, things seem to take a turn for the worst as Megatron finally arrives. But before he can claim the cube, Optimus attacks him.

The two battle it out until Megatron is finally on the ground, seemingly devoid of life. Optimus then kneels to take the All Spark from Sam. Megatron however awakens, leaping at Optimus with his chain-flail out. Optimus grips the chain, pulling Megatron in closer, and with the All Spark clutched in his fist, delivers a punch through Megatron's spark. As Megatron dies, Optimus reflects on the losses and rewards of this battle, as the Autobots have a new home. Optimus plans to guard the humans in secret, "For freedom is the right of all sentient beings."

Note: If played in Decepticon mode, Optimus is beaten to the ground, and as he crawls for the All Spark, Megatron smashes his head with his flail before using the cube to destroy humanity.
