Ore-12 and Emissary
Cheers. Noticed that you reverted my edit in the article for OP #18, saying that it's Ore-12 -- not Emissary -- that was the source of the Space Knights' armor. Just to be clear, I never meant to imply that their armor was made out of Emissary himself; rather that he was the vessel which brought Ore-12 to Elonia (which I now concede is inaccurate).

I just went back to Unicron #0 to double-check, and Rom does in fact make it seem like Emissary was the source of the Regenesis ore. Looks like Rom was wrong here - the planet was seeded by one of Shockwave's Regenesis missiles separately from Emissary's arrival. Should this be cleared up in the Notes so that other readers don't get similarly confused?

My main question: should we still add a thingy in the Notes section that confirms that the Knights' armor is, in fact, an Ore? Or is the information already there sufficient? Genitus (talk) 17:52, 12 October 2018 (EDT)
: The Ore-12 article itself does already go into detail about how everything is connected, but I'm willing to believe that Rom's comment is just a simplification of events for new readers who haven't been keeping up with 13 years of comics. Grum (talk) 17:59, 12 October 2018 (EDT)
:: So... should we add anything, or leave as is? Genitus (talk) 18:07, 12 October 2018 (EDT)
::: I added a relevant note on the Ore-12 article, that should cover it. Grum (talk) 18:28, 12 October 2018 (EDT)
:::: Understood, looks good. Genitus (talk) 19:08, 12 October 2018 (EDT)
Changing
If you want to take over, fine, but note that a lot of IDW pages are not in the IDW G1 category tree, which is why I was prioritising those over the ones that are (and I wasn't done yet). - Mammalian Verisimilitude (talk) 17:12, 3 April 2019 (EDT)

Also, one of the reasons I was taking so long is that I was checking for mislinks - e.g., here, you didn't change the Jazz link to go to the IDW Jazz page.

(And if there's some sort of consensus on changing from IDW 2005 to 2005 IDW, you really should move the pages first, so that you're not creating a load of redlinks.) - Mammalian Verisimilitude (talk) 17:15, 3 April 2019 (EDT)
The Human factor and TF Prime The game
Is an episode with a mutilated human (and horrible science's product) appropriate for a cartoon aimed to children and teenagers? RoboWarriorPrime (talk), 13 August 2019 (EDT)
: No worse than any of the other episodes with people and Transformers getting killed in explosions, turning into zombies, etc. Grum (talk) 19:14, 12 August 2019 (EDT)
:: Why are you doing this? There are LOTS of ironical notes in other pages. RoboWarriorPrime (talk), 13 August 2019 (EDT)
::: Because generally those notes were added by people who either wrote big chunks of the article, or have done major work on the wiki...and, well, generally they're more insightful than just "this dark episode of a dark TV show had dark things in it."Grum (talk) 19:26, 12 August 2019 (EDT)
::::Are you kidding me!? You judge me only for my contribution? I'm new ok, but I start from small things like everyone before me. This is one of the smallest trivia of tfwiki. (I also remember you that I've created S7 Half Dome, added new images, increased the female transformers story in Tyran universes etc....). My part in this website is growing please, stop being so rude. RoboWarriorPrime (talk), 13 August 2019 (EDT)
:::::You are rude, very very rude. RoboWarriorPrime (talk), 14 August 2019 (EDT)
::::::You and Grum are completely ignoring my discussions, I'm trying to reason civilly with you two and ignoring me is the proof of intollerance, rudeness and backwardness. RoboWarriorPrime (talk), 14 August 2019 (EDT)
Because it was talking about sexism and homophobia in this fandom and GOD FORBID we ever criticize our beloved Furman for writing a pile of sexist drivel. Thanks for being worthless, Grumboy. Optimus Prime creates a new female warrior to appease human feminists.

Synopsis
On July 15, 1995, in an attempt to forge better relationships with the humans on Earth, Optimus Prime unveils a new 'female' Autobot called Arcee to counter claims of sexism from human feminists. Much to Prime's bemusement, Arcee doesn’t prove popular with the feminists who complain that she looks weak and shouldn't be pink.

Jazz and Hot Rod are unable to understand what all the fuss is about as the only thing that they can see that separates Arcee from other Autobot warriors is a variation in the upper chassis design.

As Optimus Prime attempts to calm the feminists, the Decepticon Headmasters Fangry, Squeezeplay and Horri-Bull, led by Shockwave, launch a surprise attack. Prime orders Arcee to stay back while he handles the Decepticons, much to Arcee's disgust.

Optimus Prime is soon overpowered and Arcee is forced to go to his rescue, managing to drive off the Decepticons. During the confusion, she and Hot Rod collide and end up in a heap on the floor, leading Hot Rod to declare that he's all for female Transformers, much to the feminists' displeasure.
Artwork and technical errors
Continuity errors
*Optimus Prime appears in his smaller-robot Powermaster form. As he had stopped using that body before 1995 in the main timeline, then the story possibly takes place in the standard Marvel UK future timeline (which the notes below assume). He was never seen in that body in that timeline either though (which doesn't mean that he couldn't have been a Powermaster in 1995). It's probably best not to think too much about it.

Continuity notes
*In terms of story chronology, this is the first UK story set in a future timeline (1995) and centring on the movie cast. The next story, from the movie characters' point of view at least, would be "Ark Duty", followed by the Shockwave segment of "Aspects of Evil!".

Real-life references
*The title of this issue is derived from the . It is, of course, also a reference to Standing rib roast.

Other trivia
*Issue #229's editorial said "Prime's Rib!" would be the next UK strip after "The Big Shutdown!", indicating plans got changed fast as "A Small War!" ran two weeks later. #229 also claimed this story was "for all you feminists out there" because someone was a troll.
*If transformers had no concept of gender before Arcee arrived, why have they only used male pronouns up to this point? Wouldn't it make more sense to use "he" and "she" indiscriminately or just drop the whole thing and use "it" or "they"? Of course readers know the real reason (Hasbro didn't want a big female presence in a franchise aimed mainly at boys) but in universe it's a bit of a plot-hole. It makes even less sense when you remember the Autobots have been living on Earth for a few years at least, and they still don't know what words like "man" and "woman" mean? Talk about unobservant!
*Another interesting point is Hot Rod's romantic interest in Arcee (something which grows over time in later issues), despite the rest of the cast admitting they see no difference between Arcee and themselves other than her having a slightly altered chassis design. If gender isn't really a thing to our favourite robots, does that mean any two of the "male" cast could start a relationship together? Or are they somehow programmed to be "straight" and Arcee and Hot Rod's encounter is the first instance of transformer/transformer romance in all of their race's history? Makes you think.

Notes

They each resemble a tiny, super deformed version of their daddy, complete with a little Pretender shell. After the surrender of the Decepticons, all the civilians living within the Planet-Destroying Fortress were at last reunited with their families who had been gone fighting the war. The baby Dinoforce immediately rushed to greet their daddies in a great stampede. Goryu could be seen gleefully tossing his precious bundle of joy into the air, much to his child's giggling delight.
