A geologist born on Cybertron, Lug and her Conjunx Endura, Anode, did not stick around for the war, and instead began adventuring the galaxy, their treasure-hunting leading them to places such as the Terralese Acid Wastes, the Nightmare Spires, Killtopia, and Caminus, all of which Lug deems less dangerous than Cybertron. Being the much more cautious of the two, Lug often tries, and fails, to stop Anode from leading them to danger. But such is the life with Anode, and Lug wouldn't have it any other way. She transforms into a backpack, which allows Anode to carry her around, and stores multiple tools for archaeology in her chest. She likes mood pipes.
Lug of Celestica Tetracornacapria Dissolution Part 6: This Machine Kills Fascists was born on Cybertron before the war, and was friends with the blacksmith Wipe-Out. At some point of time, Lug met Anode, and Anode met Lug with the two eventually becoming Conjunx Endura. Like everyone else on Golden Age Cybertron, the two were born assigned male. An Axe to Break the Ice She was one of the many 'bots to abandon the planet due to the Great War and swore never to return. Dissolution Part 1: Some Other Cybertron While travelling the stars, the two met several alien races with both male and female genders and came to realize they were more comfortable as "she". While Anode had her body rebuilt into a more feminine form, Lug opted to keep her old body. An Axe to Break the Ice

During their travels Lug and Anode met many dangers together, but they got separated when Anode went on to train in her profession at a Camien medical facility. Some time later, Anode left Caminus and came back to Lug. Anode told her that she missed her too much, and that's why she quit. Lug would come to feel tremendous guilt for the event, thinking that she had ruined Anode's career.
Dissolution Part 4: Bad Moon Rising

Five hundred years ago, Lug and Anode travelled to Luna 2 at the request of their mysterious client, the "Grand Architect", to retrieve a metallic snowflake-like object. They found themselves being attacked by a Decepticon Cybernought; although Anode successfully deployed a forcefield, Lug was still convinced they were going to die. The time-travelling Necrobot arrived, attempting to rescue them both from what would have been their presumed deaths (as was his habit).

After recovering from the time jump in a stasis capsule, Anode awoke on the Necroworld, and suggested to Lug that they'd been rescued. They were informed of recent events they had missed by Ultra Magnus. After this, the two were met by Swerve, who asked them some nonsensical questions under the guise of "background checks". After Anode was alarmed by hearing Velocity's name uttered by Swerve, the duo attempted to leave by way of the teleporter, but were stopped by Rodimus and Drift.

When Rodimus and a small group of Transformers decided to use the teleporter to head back to Cybertron to pick up another ship, Anode stayed behind with the other time-displaced Cybertronians. Dissolution Part 1: Some Other Cybertron After repairing diplomatic relations following Anode's insulting of Ultra Magnus, Lug sat by the Memorial to the Disappeared and played some music to relax before Anode tracked her down. The two discussed their plans for the future and whether or not they owed the Autobots anything, before Fangry interrupted the discussion by being violently thrown into the memorial by Tailgate. When Anode tried to calm the minibot, he backhanded her, sending her flying, and to be impaled on a piece of debris. Panicking, Lug called for help and Kaput soon arrived. Lug was by Anode's bedside when she awoke and watched as Velocity tried (and failed) to perform a citizen's arrest on Anode for stealing from Caminus before the medic demanded to discuss the Lighthouse. Dissolution Part 2: Anomie

Anode explained she was a blacksmith and the "snowflake" recovered from Luna 2 was a piece of sentio metallico, but that she hadn't stolen any as the records said. She'd falsified them to have a pretext to leave the planet. Realizing that she'd been left in the dark about this, Lug rushed out of the room, Dissolution Part 3: A World Misplaced and fled back to the memorial. Anode followed her back and Lug confessed her feelings of betrayal as she'd always believed she was the reason that Anode had abandoned her apprenticeship. Anode revealed the role she'd played in the death of a protoform and faked a theft as an excuse to flee despite her co-workers being understanding and sympathetic. Lug believed that Anode needed to feel hated for what she'd done. Anode offered an apology but when she looked up, Lug was gone...Dissolution Part 4: Bad Moon Rising

...because Lug hadn't ever been with her on Necroworld. She was just a hallucination that Anode had developed as a result of timesickness; a look at the security camera footage showed Anode exiting her stasis pod alone and talking to thin air. A despondent Anode checked the names on the Memorial to the Disappeared and mournfully concluded that Lug had not survived the explosion the Necrobot had saved her from. Dissolution Part 5: Modes of Production

A disheartened Anode was taken by Kaput, Nautica, and Velocity to where Lug's memorial flowers grew on Necroworld, and Kaput, having made a hobby of studying Censere's archives, explained that after saving Anode he had returned to find Lug barely still alive, allowing him to perform the Rites of Transition on her. Anode's explosive fury at the violation of her friend's lack of religiousness was cut off by Kaput's continuing: when the Necrobot found someone before they died, he would transfer the last flicker of their actual Spark into one of his flowers...a flower Kaput now offered to Anode. It only took a moment for Anode to realize the possibilities this and the sentio metallico, returned to her by Nautica, opened, and she bolted for the Necrobot's fortress.

Reaching a laboratory, she recruited Kaput into helping her transfer the Spark-flicker into the sentio metallico to create a protoform, noting that in principle it was no different than an assisted birth. The process seemed to go smoothly, until the new protoform's temperature began to precipitously drop, reminding Anode of her past failings at her calling—failings she determined not to repeat, as she desperately worked to save/revive her friend...successfully, as later she showed off her "new backpack" jubilantly to the returning Roller. Dissolution Part 6: This Machine Kills Fascists After Lug regrew, Anode confessed the truth about the Lighthouse to her. After the two made up and shared an embrace on the field, Lug went to make friends, leading her to play with Roller. She was later part of the group that left Necroworld aboard the deceased Skip. After Megatron (A Dissolution Epilogue)

When the Rod Squad took a stop at Troja Major's Howling Town, Lug and Anode joined Velocity and Nautica in traversing the town. Nautica found them irritating, complaining how Lug's and Anode's detours slowed them down. Lug was complicit in Anode stealing mood pipes from a Rust Giant. After fleeing for their lives, she received the stolen item as a survival gift from her conjunx, and was successfully enamored. Lug commented on how much the market had changed in the past five centuries which Velocity explained was due to a spiritual ley line the market was built on, leading Troja Major to a rebranding as the bereavement capital of the galaxy. After Nautica shooed away a Catharsian merchant praying on Lug, she followed Anode on the trail of some sentio metallico.

The couple found a newborn mech (with a coffin alternate mode) before they were ambushed by the Black Block Consortia. When Anode refused to step aside however, Lug tackled her to safety which allowed the Consortia a clean shot at the newborn, killing him. As Anode grieved, their old friend Wipe-Out made himself known and spirited the two away to a bar where the three of them could compare notes. After the femmes explained their new genders, Wipe-Out explained the seeming hunt for blacksmiths and who the Black Block Consortia was. When the trio concluded the Grand Architect was on their tail again, they tried to cheese it only for his troops to teleport into the bar. An Axe to Break the Ice After Anode had thoroughly embarrassed herself thinking Flame was the Grand Architect, she turned to jet mode and flew Lug and Wipe-Out to safety. Returning to the funeral compound where they'd found the mysterious mech, Lug stood off to the side while Wipe-Out realized the mech had been able to turn into virtually anything before they got a call from Velocity. When the trio arrived, Nautica's super-sized alternate mode burst out of the building before the group made a brisk getaway. Chasing the Infinite

Back aboard Skip, Lug helped Anode engage in a prank war with Swerve by repainting herself and pretending to be Swerve's biggest fan, saying she would start "Swervecon", and she witnessed Swerve's retaliation when Velocity called Anode in for a medical exam to inform her she had a "second head" in her rear armature. Anode, furious at the false scare, thus upped the ante. Lug chatted with Rung while the two held a datapad, but she had to help pull a magnetized Anode off Ultra Magnus's front as the hijinks conflict continued, so Lug had to pull her off with all her might. This act threw herself to the ground and her beloved into a grief-stricken Cyclonus, who attempted to cut her down where she knelt. Anode managed to somersault out of the way, so the blade cut across Rewind's chest instead. The ship erupting in chaos, Lug also had a moment of pause when Ten unexpectedly spoke.
Sardines

On Ten's instructions, the crew modified the ship so they could jump through "compressed space" and get to a Mederi center so they could save the ailing Ratchet. However, as Skip was contracting in on them as his body returned to regular size, Anode and the others were forced to abandon ship and were subsequently exposed to compressed space, seemingly killing them and bringing them to the Afterspark. The Everlasting Voices (1): Metastasis Not entirely concerned or convinced that they were dead, Anode and Lug went straight to stealing soft ununtrium from a temple, which earned them a scolding from Nautica. The couple then went for the giant Matrix floating in the Afterspark's sky to see what they could pillage from it. The Everlasting Voices (2): The God War What they didn't realize however was that the "Afterspark" was in fact the original Mederi center, designed by the Omega Guardians to euthanize its patients by generating illusions that made them happy and ready to "ascend". As Anode and Lug gathered under the Matrix so they could "ascend", Rodimus and his group destroyed Mederi's power source, shattering the illusion. Before the team could figure out where to go from there, they were approached by an army of Sparkeaters created from the crews of the Lost Light. The Everlasting Voices (3): You Are Here

After Rodimus recognized the Sparkeaters as Lost Light crew, Anode questioned whether they were actually a threat. Discussion ensued as to what to do until Brainstorm was attacked by Sparkeater-Perceptor. When Grimlock was dropped from high altitude into the attackers to cut them down, Lug exclaimed to Anode that "this isn't normal!" After the group's subsequent retreat from the Sparkeaters and team-up with allies aboard Wipe-Out's Q-class ship, Anode and her Conjunx joined the armed boarding team, using said vessel to land on the Lost Light, and followed Rodimus off the ship into the Lost Light's shuttle bay. Almost immediately all the doors began shutting around them, cutting off Rodimus and Cyclonus from the others. Then the ship's oil reservoir poured on top of them, the ship's oil reservoir filled entirely with scraplets, causing Anode to have a panic attack. Lug tried reassuring her as those same Scraplets, merged into one, showed themselves. Crucible (Part 1): A Dance Before Dying

Anode feared that the scraplets were going to eat the team, but Ultra Magnus tried to reassure them by pointing out scraplets didn't actually have a digestive system. After Grimlock's attempt to slay the creatures didn't succeed, Anode, Lug, and Drift were grabbed by the scraplets, before they turned their attention on Whirl. As the scraplets turned out to be the adoptees of Whirl, they all survived and reunited with Rodimus and Cyclonus, just in time for space to tear itself a new one. Crucible (Part 2): Lūstrāre The rift sucked in the Lost Light, depositing it in what according to Lug's reading of the navicomp was the Benzene Cluster, now filled with duplicate Cybertrons. With the engines drained, the crew disembarked, and Anode used her metallurgical skills to analyse the planet, finding it "tasted" new. Almost immediately, several Black Block Consortia ships showed up, and the troops held everyone at gunpoint, ready to shoot them dead before some quick talking on Nautica's part got them transported to a cell instead. Their host insisted on Rodimus taking a small delegation, but Rodimus counter-insisted on taking everyone, Lug included. Lug pointed out Mederi had followed them through the rift, and remarked after Rodimus comment that the rift was resealing itself that perhaps it may not have been a rift, and instead a way of bringing Mederi to where they were now. From their cell, the team witnessed the end result of the Grand Architect's plan, which was to use five copies of Cybertron as a "God Gun" to drill through into another universe in order to fight an other-dimensional intruder. As everyone watched, a fleet of ships poured through from the Functionist universe, led by Megatron. Crucible (Part 3): Farsickness

As it quickly transpired, Megatron was not the enemy the Grand Architect had been preparing for. Rather, it was Functionist Cybertron, engineered into a representation of Primus himself, an alt-mode that Riptide pondered when Cybertron had ever had, which Lug uncertainly suggested was "since now?" Megatron explained over the phone to Rodimus that this Primus-like form had been an end goal of the Functionists, a homeworld, avatar, and galactic deathbringer for their genocide against non-Cybertronian life. As the alternate Cybertron destroyed the God Gun, Rodimus and Megatron bickered, until the Grand Architect revealed himself. Megatron had his ship shoot out the Worldsweeper's windows, sucking several of Team Rodimus, Lug among them, out into space, where Megatron had them pulled in. As Megatron exposited on what he'd been up to, the Magnificence chimed in with its proposal, that they destroy the Functionist Primus, prompting Anode to point out how selective it was being with its interjections. However, Megatron revealed a complication: They couldn't destroy the alternate Cybertron, since it was still populated. Crucible (Part 4): The Return of the King

As everyone rejoined onboard the Lost Light, the Magnificence spoke up again, revealing there was a way to defeat the Functionists; have Rung create three Matrixes and unleash them inside the fake Primus' brain, cog and spark chamber. Cyclonus, not willing to sacrifice Tailgate to this plan, vetoed it, so an alternative plan was suggested, of using more Matrixes to overload Vector Sigma, purging the Council entirely. Anode suggested using Cybertron's Hot Spots as the attack sites, and Lug asked if it was even possible for Rung to make that many. However, the Magnificence objected to this plan, revealing itself to be the voice of the Omega Guardians, wishing to use the false Primus's destruction to return to the corporeal universe and devour it. Then Nickel crushed the Magnificence, shutting them up, and leaving the Lost Light crew to save the universe themselves. Crucible (Part 5): The Unremembering

Part one of that involved finding a way to get the fake Primus to turn back into a planet so they could access the Hot Spots, a problem fortunately solved by the timely arrival of Luna-1 hitting it in the back of the head. With one of the twelve Matrixes provided by Rung in his last act, Anode and Lug (and Wipe-Out) went to Sansaw Sanserre, where the Functionist Council's goons were waiting for them. Facing them down, the two exchanged a kiss and a mutual declaration of love. However, a new problem presented itself, as the Matrixes refused to open. Rodimus gave the teams a pep talk as they were besieged from all sides, which proved enough to get Lug to open her Matrix as Anode watched. With that, the Council were annihilated and the universe saved. Crucible (Part 6): A Spark Among Embers

In the aftermath, Anode and Lug joined the Lost Light crew on their "victory lap", before the ship was to be decommissioned. On the way, Brainstorm, Nautica and Perceptor conducted an experiment to duplicate the ship in another universe, where they would be free to explore forever. In "Swerve's", the two sat at the bar and talked with Bluestreak, before Anode suggested what to do next: Settle down on Luna 1 and raise some kids, to which Lug clinked her glass with Anode's. As everyone departed, Lug called out to everyone to keep in touch, before she and Anode made their own way.

Despite Lug's promise, however, neither she or Anode attended Ratchet's funeral in the far future, after he died of age-related burnout.

Meanwhile, in another corner of the multiverse, the experiment produced a duplicate Lost Light, with its own version of Anode and Lug, ready to set off into the unknown. How To Say Goodbye And Mean It: Part 2
On the planet Lithone, Arblus and Kranix were either friends with or the assistants to a scientist. The pair brought the scientist a couple of fluid-filled vials while he worked, although Kranix was the only one to do any carrying (lazy Arblus). Unfortunately, the building shook, sending the chemicals to the floor.

It wasn't seismic activity, however — running to a nearby window, the Lithones saw it was the menace they knew as Unicron! Kranix compelled his companions to get to the escape ships, but only the one he was on managed to escape his planet's destruction, as Arblus's shuttle was caught in Unicron's pull as he finished his destruction of the planet itself. After Lithone was destroyed, Kranix somehow became a prisoner on Quintessa, the home of the dreaded Quintessons and Sharkticons.

Not long afterward, the Autobots Kup and Hot Rod were placed in the cell next to Kranix. Kranix told them of the Quintessons and his planet's demise, but would not enjoy their company long, for Quintesson guards soon came to take Kranix to his fate, while he plead for mercy, as he was the last survivor of his planet (to anyone's knowledge). Over the plank above the Sharkticon pit, Kranix protested the mockery of justice that the Quintessons represented in their so-called court. He was then sentenced to death by the Quintesson judges and fed to the Sharkticons and eaten by them. The Transformers: The Movie
Kranix (apparently a Cybertronian in this continuity) lived a simple life in Tagon Heights on Cybertron before becoming part of the crew of the Proudstar, traveling the galaxy cyberforming planets, such as Lithone even injecting Ore-13 into its core. These planets would find future use as Cybertronian colonies. He was proud of this mission, that is until a dark pallor fell over the ship. Many of his fellow crew mates changed, even the noble Nova Prime seemed to be driven more by ego rather than his righteous mission.

This came to a head when Nova Prime selected an inhabited planet for his causes. though disgusted by its non mechanical inhabitants he felt that had as much right to live as any and secretly sabotaged the Proudstar to collide with the planet when its cyberforming protocols were initiated. Praying that Jhiaxus wouldn't find his treachery he planned to make his escape back to Lithone.
Notes
*In a very early draft of The Transformers: The Movie, Lithone was a planet of living rock creatures, and Kranix was named Granix (from "granite", you get it?). Although this was amended for later drafts, one or two instances of this original spelling made it through the spell-check, into a much later version of the script, puzzling fans for over a decade.
*It is never revealed within the film how Kranix ended up on Quintessa after escaping Unicron. A deleted line of dialogue explained that the Quintessons hunted down those who escaped the wrath of Unicron and put them on trial, with the sentence always being the same—death! In the same draft that had the Lithones as rock creatures, meanwhile, Kranix had actually come to Quintessa on a scientific expedition.

:Nova Prime is a Transformer from the IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family. He was formerly known as Nova Major and for a time was known as Nemesis Prime.

Nova Prime was the predecessor to Nominus Prime. An expansionist and a supremacist, Nova Prime believed that Transformers were the greatest among all life forms and that they should bring their glory to the myriad of lesser races throughout the universe.

After being sucked into the Dead Universe, Nova was chosen to be the host for the Darkness, an otherworldly counterpart of the Matrix of Leadership which worked by transforming the inhabitants of the Dead Universe into undead wielders of anti-life. Upon merging, Nova was reborn as the sinister and extremely powerful Nemesis Prime. He now sees it as his mission to fulfil the Darkness' imperative by expanding the Dead Universe's hold into the living realm.

Nemesis may seem to hold sway over both his troops and the Darkness, but nothing could be further from the truth. The powerful Galvatron sees the Darkness as his rightful inheritance. And then, there is the fear. The fear that the Darkness has more in common with the Matrix than Nemesis is comfortable with. He feels he has earned this power, and isn't willing to see it follow its natural path. It is for this reason he must eliminate Optimus Prime. And it is for this reason he fears to face his successor.

Long ago in Cybertron's past, there was a great war (no, not that one) and Nova Major fought for his tribe's leader Prima. Ten million years ago, Prima flew the coop and Nova was left as the last soldier standing at the Siege of the Citadel of Light until Galvatron arrived out of the wilderness. The two fought against the beast hordes and drove them back, turning the siege into a by-word for courage. Alpha Trion, the last Prime on the planet, was the one who brought them together in the hope that they could end the war.

Realizing the Primes were gone, Nova went out and united the tribes (starting with the beasts) to create a unified Cybertronian society, one for all Cybertronians and where everyone would be "in their place." Trion later claimed that this did not sound sinister at the time.

With Trion's blessing, Nova took the mantle of Prime. The Crucible With the war over, he and his closest friends and advisors Galvatron, Jhiaxus, Cyclonus, and Dai Atlas went on a quest in Cybertron's underground, hoping to rediscover the lost principles of their gods, the Guiding Hand. Nova found the Hand's old home: Crystal City, with its guardian Omega Supreme. Omega joined Nova's crew and they worked to bring about the legendary Golden Age. Primus: All Good Things

Soon, Nova's ambition grew and he secretly began planning the Expansion, the Cybertronian conquest of the universe. Obsessed with the Hand's prophecy that "all shall be one", he intended to enslave all other lifeforms in order to "free" them from their individual wills and make them part of something greater—Nova's empire. He formed the Primal Vanguard for off-world peacekeeping and began work on the first Ark, claiming it was meant for trade and exploration when it was in truth the first step of the Expansion. Liars, A to D Part 2: Hangers On Primus: All Good Things However, his plans hit a snag when Vector Sigma's flow of new sparks began to cease. Fearing that his Expansion would be impossible with a limited population of Cybertronians at his disposal, Nova had a team of scientists led by Tyrest tap into the Matrix of Leadership and use its power to create new life, a process that was covered up as a "population augmentation program" that made use of "spark splicing". Shadowplay, Part 2: Patternism Remain in Light 3 of 5: The Divided Self Nova Prime also wished to evolve Cybertronians in preparation for their destiny as rulers of the universe, and against Omega's wishes, he had Jhiaxus re-engineer six Transformers to be able to combine into a being of higher intellect and strength, in hopes of uncovering the secret of Nexus Prime's Enigma of Combination. However they were driven mad by the merging, and they devolved into a monster that tore through Crystal City before they were stopped. Nova didn't care about the destruction though, feeling the city had outlived its usefulness. Spotlight: Optimus Prime Primus: All Good Things The Crucible

Nova Prime and his closest comrades boarded the Ark to enact the Expansion, making their way to the Benzuli Expanse where they discovered a portal to the Dead Universe. Seeing it as just another universe to conquer, Nova ordered the ship to pass through, not worried at all by the fact that the portal itself was pulling them in. Dark Dawn: Dark Cybertron Chapter 1 The ship never reappeared and the crew was presumed dead, but Nova's aggressive intentions never came to light, and the Transformers honored his memory with a statue. Megatron Origin issue 3 The Matrix he once carried remained on Cybertron, hidden in the Undergrid Transformation (issue), with a fake one (that everyone believed was real) left behind for his successor, Nominus Prime. Shadowplay, Part 1: Post Hoc Meanwhile, his population expansion had left Cybertron with energon shortages and caused an outburst of racism, complete with a period of apartheid, against the constructed Transformers created by his spark splicing program. Shadowplay, Part 2: Patternism

The Prime was thought dead but countless years later, when Optimus Prime downloaded himself into infraspace to survive an attack from Megatron, he sensed the presence of Nova Prime... and was filled with an incredible sense of dread. Escalation issue 6 These feelings led Optimus Prime to seek information from Omega Supreme, and shared with him his belief that Nova might still be alive, and his feelings of dread. In turn, Omega told Optimus of Nova's story, and later learned of Monstructor. Optimus was left with the knowledge that the Prime lineage had been corrupt from the start, and it gave the Autobot leader something to ponder about. Spotlight: Optimus Prime

It was later learned that Optimus Prime's assessment was right: Nova Prime was still functioning, though in a strange half-dead state in the Dead Universe, and was now the fearsome figure known as Nemesis Prime, powered by the almighty mind-altering anti-Matrix, the Darkness, which ruled the Dead Universe. His grand plan, the Expansion, was now intended to merge the Dead Universe with the real one, allowing him to both return home at long last and direct the merged universe into a new, more ordered era.

He already had an outpost and minions on Gorlam Prime, ready to direct his coming Expansion. He had Nightbeat captured by some of his minions and programmed Spotlight: Nightbeat to assassinate Optimus Prime at a set time, Spotlight: Hardhead, as he subconsciously knew the Darkness would behave like the Matrix and jump from him to Optimus if given the chance. Spotlight: Sideswipe

With that secured, Nemesis Prime decided that the Expansion was ready to begin. He dispatched Galvatron to Cybertron in a mission to secure Thunderwing, kill the Autobots guarding him, and bring the Pretender to the Dead Universe. Galvatron secured Thunderwing, but spared the Autobots, viewing it as a small rebellion against Nova. Spotlight: Galvatron After observing the Reapers about to destroy Earth, he ordered Galvatron there to stop them, since the Earth was part of their expansion plan. Devastation issue 3 Galvatron performed his task well, but Prime remarked to Jhiaxus that he was aware that Galvatron had his own agendas and secrets. Devastation issue 6

After Cyclonus secured the Nega-Core and activated its guardian, Nemesis Prime initiated the Expansion with the rest of the Dead Universe crew. Spotlight: Cyclonus

Nemesis Prime was found by Jhiaxus on the remains of the Ark, thinking back on old times and planning for the future. Upon receiving the latest intelligence on both Cyclonus and Nightbeat, he dismissed the former and requested Jhiaxus take care of the Nightbeat situation personally. When Jhiaxus reported Nightbeat's death, Nemesis was unmoved, deciding he would take over Nightbeat's mission and deal with Optimus Prime himself. Spotlight: Hardhead

Nemesis Prime attacked the prison facility on Garrus-9 while Optimus Prime was inspecting it. The Autobot defense forces were helpless against him: Nemesis was immune to all their firepower and used his deadly decaying touch to instantly snuff out their lives. Seeing that conflict was futile, Optimus Prime ordered all the defenders to retreat, then faced Nemesis Prime directly. Nemesis gloated about the upcoming Expansion, then revealed to Optimus Prime the nature of the Darkness and channeled it as a weapon against Optimus Prime. Spotlight: Doubledealer

Unfortunately for Nemesis, the Darkness did want to leap to Optimus as he had feared, and it would do so if he either used it or touched Optimus. Enraged, Nemesis backed off and resorted to firing a torrent of normal energy. Optimus was able to withstand the blast however, but their fight ended abruptly when Nemesis, distracted by the battle, was shot in the back and killed by Galvatron, as part of his plan to claim the Darkness for himself.

Though Optimus Prime soon destroyed the Darkness-infused Galvatron (or so he thought), Optimus remarked that he could not mourn his predecessor, noting that Nova Prime was long dead. Spotlight: Sideswipe

Nemesis Prime resurfaced years later, alive and with his wounds pulsating with dark energy. He appeared from a portal to the Dead Universe on the planet Dykayra, greeting a shocked Galvatron. Heart of Darkness issue 3 He claimed that D-Void, a malevolent and powerful entity within the Dead Universe, had restored his spark, allowing him to take revenge on Galvatron and take back the Darkness. After a brief battle between the two, Galvatron's minions intervened, but Nemesis brushed off their firepower and destroyed several of them by devouring their energy. He then mutated into a gigantic, horrible monster, seemingly falling under D-Void's direct control in the process, and continued the fight against Galvatron. In the end, Galvatron was able to summon his army and force what had once been Nemesis Prime's body back through the portal before destroying it. Heart of Darkness issue 4

While his very essence had returned to the Dead Universe following his first defeat at Galvatron's hand, Nemesis's original body ended up in Brainstorm's lab, where the scientist studied it in the hopes of finding out more about the Dead Universe. Black Planet: Dark Cybertron Chapter 11

Prime nevertheless endured, still surviving in the Dead Universe. He took up the name of "Nova Prime" again and joined with Galvatron and Shockwave in an apparent plot to conquer Cybertron and return it to Nova's leadership. Dark Dawn: Dark Cybertron Chapter 1 Initially hoping to use the space bridge of Shockwave's Necrotitan as transport out of the Dead Universe, Black Metal: Dark Cybertron Chapter 2 Nova and Galvatron were forced to use Megatron's personal space bridge. Into the Abyss: Dark Cybertron Chapter 4 However, as Nova was about to emerge in the living universe, the united forces of Bumblebee's Autobots and Soundwave's Decepticons attacked Shockwave's lair, and in the chaos, Nova was punched by Ironhide back into the Dead Universe.

Trapped yet again, Nova Prime went to contend with intruders to the universe: Orion Pax and his band. Finest Hour: Dark Cybertron Chapter 5 Amused with Orion's choice to no longer call himself a Prime, Nova proceeded to mock Cyclonus, claiming that his former crew mate had been nothing but a hanger-on.
*Nova Prime was actually an Optimus Prime design that artist Don Figueroa had made for Hasbro, but it was never made as a toy. In fact, part of the combined super robot mode concept art was first seen on the 2005-exclusive cover for Infiltration #0.
*According to Nova Prime's design sketches by Don, seen in the back of "Spotlight: Optimus Prime", the form seen in the story is Nova Prime's winged cab/trailer super robot. He also has a smaller robot mode consisting of only the cab. The transformation of the cab is pretty similar to that of Energon Rodimus.
*Apparently, being an undead Prime means you have to reverse your color scheme.
ehuh.. first, no need for such childish language and it seams interesting how you can talk for everyone, secondly the game is pretty simpler to the Japanese 'Call of the Future', featuring a number of the same mistakes as well as some of the same good things. It's not a copy by any means, but a lot of simpler features and gameplay. When a compassing is made, (which is natural as Call of the Future was mostly the same as a 3D version of the older games like the Headmasters and Mystery of Convoy) it gets removed seemingly because of the mistakes made in that game. Tempy (talk) 02:56, 7 September 2015 (EDT)
:Actually, I agree, I have no idea what you're talking about. No one's trying to "sell" the game; every statement on the page is accurate and backed up by hands-on impressions and promotional material. Also, it's hard for you to claim what a game's weaknesses are or that it's simpler than a previous release when there's NO possible way you could have played it yet. That said, however, it's very clear based on the provided footage and demos that this is a VERY different game from Call of the Future, and is more reasonably compared in its gameplay to, as it says in the article, Platinum's other titles. Comparing Devastation and CotF is like comparing Super Mario Bros. to Symphony of the Night; just because they technically fall into the same genre doesn't mean they are at all similar in their execution. And I'd hardly call CotF a "3D version of Headmasters and Mystery of Convoy"; again, they are NOTHING alike other than being based on G1. Okay, so I think I've filled in the plot the best I can, but I'm a little bit unsure about my interpretation of the ending. Spoiler alert: Here's the last scene for those who haven't reached it on their own yet (and the stinger a little further on in the video). I'm pretty sure those are Nova Prime's specs on Teletraan in that final shot, though it's hard to derive the context of why. Wheeljack said the plan was risky; are they meant to be bringing Nova back online? If so, was that wake-up scene at the end really unknown to the rest of the cast as I stated, or were they intentionally reviving him, hence the on-screen readout? Or am I completely wrong about that being Nova on screen, and it was meant to be Prime getting a risky upgrade (i.e. infused with plasma energy), or perhaps even someone totally different like Ultra Magnus? I'm fine leaving it as is, and I realize that it was probably left purposefully ambiguous as a potential sequel hook, but I'd like to get a few different opinions before I commit to this interpretation. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 14:19, 9 October 2015 (EDT)
Combiner Wars tie-in?
So according to these articles, it sounds like this game is meant to be a prequel to Combiner Wars. That said, I'm not exactly sure how the two are compatible...like, at all. Any idea how to approach this one? -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 21:52, 12 October 2015 (EDT)
:From the game's ending, it can be sumrised that to Hasbro, a "prequel to Combiner Wars" means a G1-based continuity where Combiners are totally set to duke it out- which is what the ending pretty firmly suggests, what with the video call of Superion and Defensor followed by the schematics for Optimus Maximus (in which Optimus says it is a "price [he] has to pay"). Kremzeek was accidentally created by Megatron and Starscream whilst experimenting in the lab of the Decepticons' crashed starship-base. Kremzeek immediately began making the electrical equipment aboard the ship malfunction, giving Megatron the idea to use him as a weapon against the Autobots. Kremzeek succeeded in damaging most of the Autobots (leaving only Inferno, Optimus Prime, Omega Supreme, Blaster and Bumblebee functional) before entering Teletraan I and traveling to Japan by riding through the computer's connection to Sky Spy satellite.

The remaining Autobots followed in Omega Supreme, after being made invulnerable to Kremzeek's effects by Sparkplug's (patent pending) Magical Insulating Spray, but no sooner had they set down on the shores of Tokyo than the electrical imp took down the unprotected Omega. Kremzeek proceeded to wreak havoc through the city, terrorizing a bullet train, a hapless passer-by's walkman and a video arcade, before the Autobots cornered him in the Shibuya Manufacturing Corporation building. The chief engineer there, Doctor Sōji Yoshikawa, suggested that Blaster try weakening Kremzeek with radio waves, but the little gremlin tried to fight back by leaping into Blaster's chest compartment. Blaster figured to "fry him with his own juice", but he only wound up feeding Kremzeek with his own energy, and caused him to multiply.

The Kremzeek swarm began tearing through Tokyo, but Prime and Yoshikawa quickly put their heads together and deduced to a way to reunite the individual creatures. Jury-rigging a tower and charging it with all the energy from a local power plant, the Autobots drew all the Kremzeeks in, but the flaw in their plan was revealed when they merged into a giant Kremzeek! As the kaiju-sized Kremzeek stomped through the city, both it and the Autobots began to feel the effects of the Decepticons' energy magnet—the energy-draining device the villains had created while the Autobots were distracted dealing with Kremzeek. Finally hitting on a plan to stop both threats, the Autobots used a nearby radio tower to broadcast Kremzeek straight to the energy magnet, which he destroyed.

As Kremzeek cavorted amongst the remains of the energy magnet, the Autobots approached on a boat with Yoshikawa and some equipment that the scientist could use to disperse Kremzeek's energy and effectively destroy him. Bumblebee spoke out against the plan, dubbing Kremzeek "cute", but Optimus Prime solemnly pressed the fateful button that eradicated the little critter. Reflecting on the whole adventure as they prepared to return home, Blaster remarked that he couldn't help but miss Kremzeek somehow... at which point a solitary Kremzeek, which had previously jumped inside his body, burst from his chest compartment, and the hilarious pursuit antics restarted. Kremzeek!
Over the next twenty years, Yoshikawa began breeding Kremzeeks in captivity (perhaps after studying the lone remaining creature following its recapture by the Autobots), and weaponized the technology behind the belligerent beasties, creating the "Yoshikawa Type 5 Auto-Kremzeek Launcher" for the Earth Defense Command. These guns, wielded by the E.D.C.'s Autorooper mechanoids, fired "Kremzeek bullets": ceramic shells that each contained a Kremzeek, which would be released when the shell shattered on impact to absorb the electrical energy of any mechanoid it struck. The bullets even had a limited paralytic effect on the nervous systems of humans.

When the hapless EDC Kiss Player Atari Hitotonari wound up swallowing a Legion, her Autorooper shrunk down to enter her body and destroy the beast, but when it tried shooting its Kremzeek bullets inside her, she violently protested. :Jean Minakaze is a human from the Victory portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Jean Minakaze (南風ジャン Minakaze Jan) is a human boy orphaned after a spacecraft carrying him and his family was destroyed by the Dinoforce. He was adopted by Star Saber, who acts as his father. He is very protective of Star Saber and does not enjoy watching him go off into battle. He greatly admires his "father" and treats him with the utmost respect. He works along with the Rescue Patrol in giving innocent bystanders aid against Decepticon attacks.

Jean's exposure to an Autobot upbringing has made him very intelligent for his age and species (that is, human). While he has no special weapons, he has built for himself a vehicle capable moving on two robotic legs. He named his creation the Illumina II, after Illumina, a girl from his school. When indoors, he uses a hover-board to get around and attract attention. He is also very brave for a boy his age.

His normal outfit includes a hoodie overshirt with suspenders and hightop sneakers with no socks, suggesting the Autobots of 2025 are not particularly fashion-conscious.
{{note|The proper romanization of Jean's name is not clear.
After the ship containing his parents was destroyed by the Dinoforce, Jean was adopted as a baby by Star Saber and went to live with the Autobots out in space.

Many years later, when the Earth came under attack from Deathsaurus, Jean returned to his homeworld alongside his surrogate father. There, they met Deathsaurus and the "Decepticon Boy", Solon. Star Saber defeated the Decepticons with ease and sent them into retreat. As they fled, Jean vowed to help his father protect the Earth. Magnificent! Our Friend, Star Saber!

Later, Deathsaurus began a large forest fire and absorbed its energy to increase his own power. As Star Saber fought his nemesis, Jean was taken hostage by the mysterious Solon. With Jean in a deadly headlock, Solon presented his hostage to Deathsaurus. Fearing for Jean's safety, Deathsaurus slapped Solon, freeing Jean and knocking off Solon's helmet. Jean was shocked to see that Solon, by all appearances, was a human boy the same age as him. As Star Saber defeated Deathsaurus, the Decepticons retreated. Jean was still in shock over Solon's identity, leaving Star Saber to remark that it was as if Solon was Jean's darker half. Great Turn-Around! Star Saber

Enrolling in an Earth school, Jean made fast friends with the girl Illumina. His fun didn't last long, however, as his class soon received a new foreign exchange student: Solon! Confronting Solon after class, Jean's rival explained to him that he was a highly advanced cyborg and was enrolling in an Earth school so he could gather information on the "inferior humans" and determine their weaknesses. Jean wasn't about to take this lying down, but before they could rumble, Leozack began attacking the city.

Star Saber soon arrived and took the Decepticon out, then approached Jean and his friends. While Jean was happy to introduce Illumina to his dad, he made it a point to insist that Solon was not his friend. This hurt Solon's feelings, and the Decepticon boy vowed to be better than Jean at everything, including grades and sports. Leozack Rumbles Violently!

Out in some barren wasteland, Star Saber was making short work of the Breastforce. Following their defeat, Jean began to tease Solon. Their rough-housing was interrupted by the sudden appearance of Shūta Gō and Cab, who made it clear that they felt Star Saber was an inferior Supreme Commander to Ginrai, a statement which infuriated Jean. Suddenly, Kakuryū burst from the ground and attacked Star Saber. He didn't fare well, almost immediately being thrown over a cliff. As Saber loomed menacingly over the Decepticon, Jean begged him not to destroy him. Star Saber instead helped Kakuryū up and sent him on his way. Though Solon still wasn't impressed with Star Saber, Shūta Gō and Cab were won over. Warrior of Love, Star Saber!

Jean and his two new buddies soon built a treehouse and formed the "Autobot Boy Team", though their meaningful dialogues typically extended no further than what toy was cooler. Their first meeting was a short one, as Jean was kidnapped by Yokuryū and whisked away to the Thunder Arrow. Jean's captor, Deathsaurus, revealed that he had a soft spot for little kids and offered him a place on the "Decepticon Boy Team" he was forming. Solon encouraged Jean to join, informing him that he could become a cyborg just like him. Deathsaurus sweetened the deal by offering Jean lots of gifts (such as toys, fruit and a Famicom) as well as wads of cash.

Star Saber soon arrived to rescue his son, though Jean was still thinking over the offer. Jean decided that, although Star Saber was really stingy with his allowance, the Autobot was still family, and Jean chose to leave with him. Star Saber proceeded to trounce Deathsaurus and return to Earth, with Jean telling Solon he'd see him at school the next day. Deathsaurus quickly abandoned all further plans for a Decepticon Boy Team. Watch Out, Jean! Hurry, Star Saber!

The Autobot Boy Team soon changed their name to the Victories and donned sets of silly armor, Jean's being modeled after Star Saber. Jean and Star Saber left to chase Liokaiser across the galaxy, eventually losing his trail on Energy Planet X. Frustrated, the two began to bicker like brats, exchanging childish insults. As Star Saber began to wonder if he was treating Jean too much like a soldier and not enough like a son, Liokaiser pounced. About to deliver the deathblow, the Decepticon was momentarily halted as the individual Breastforce members began to argue over who would get to kill the Autobot. Star Saber and Jean took this opportunity to break free and defeat the Decepticon. With their enemy in retreat, Jean and Star Saber vowed that, even if they fought, they'd never let their disagreements get in the way of their duty. The Star of Friendship, Jean and Star Saber!

Not long after, Star Saber fell to a united attack from Deathsaurus, Liokaiser and Dinoking. With his father about to be killed, all hope seemed lost. Suddenly, a hot blonde chick arrived with a new Autobot named Victory Leo. Victory Leo combined with Star Saber to form Victory Saber, who quickly defeated the Decepticons. As Jean began to swoon at the sight of the bodacious blonde, she quickly introduced herself as Patty Minakaze...his sister. Patty explained that after their parents were killed, she'd left to live with Victory Leo on Planet V. The gurunium alloy their father discovered was used to built Victory Leo's body, making the Victory Combination possible. The Strongest Partners, the Combination of Victory!

Jean began to regret having a sibling, as Patty usurped leadership of the Victories from him and began (sweetly) working her teammates to the bone mopping floors. Jean's janitorial duties were soon interrupted by a crisis on planet Guard, so he, Patty, Victory Leo and Star Saber left to investigate. There they were met by Deathsaurus and King Solon, Solon's new giant mech unit. The two Decepticons merged into King Zaras and attacked Victory Saber. The pair were evenly matched until Solon was distracted by Patty saying the word "mother", and that momentary pause gave Victory Saber the chance he needed to destroy the King Solon mech. As Solon's flaming body hurtled to the ground, Jean and Patty offered to help him and even let him join the Victories. Solon refused and fled, though he felt Patty reminded him of his deceased mother. Mighty! Victory Saber

During another battle, Victory Saber and the Brainmasters proved unable to defeat Deathsaurus and Liokaiser. Jean began to lose hope until Solon arrived, having at last switched sides at the urging of Blacker. With Solon's help, the Victories performed the "Five Stars of Victory" attack, sending the Decepticons retreating to their Space Stronghold. Jean asked Solon if he'd officially join the Victories, but Solon said only under one condition: if Patty would be his big sister, too. While Patty found this flattering, Jean found it infuriating. Shine! The Five Stars of Victory

With the final confrontation at hand, Jean and the Victories, aboard Galaxy Shuttle, invaded the Space Stronghold. Their part in the battle was a short one, however, as Leozack quickly immobilized them with an exploding trap. Eventually, Victory Saber won the day and Deathsaurus conceded defeat. Deathsaurus then revealed that the Decepticons had been fighting for their families aboard the Stronghold all along—a noble act. Patty invited the Decepticon families to live in harmony with the Autobots on Planet V. With the battle over, Jean and his ex-rival Solon encouraged their fathers to set aside their differences and shake hands. The pair of Transformers did so, and good times were had by all. Heroic! The Victory War
