Hubworld listed "Cody on Patrol" as episode 7 and "Four Bots and a Baby" as episode 8. Should we re-number the episodes and note there is a missing "episode 6"? - Starfield 12:48, 21 April 2012 (EDT)
:Maybe they're using the same numbering as IMDB? Several of the episodes appeared on there before appearing on TV schedule sites, so it's possible it was updated by someone involved in the production, and "Walk on the Wild Side" is actually episode 6. Seems kinda weird to screen them out of order if so. --abates 18:29, 21 April 2012 (EDT)
::Actually, answering myself, it makes sense that they'd hold it back so they could screen it the same weekend as Earth Day. Assigned on a solo mission to Earth, Bumblebee unexpectedly finds himself saddled with a team.

Synopsis
Years after the Great War, a rebuilt Cybertron is once again a populous, thriving planet. Among its inhabitants is Lieutenant Bumblebee - now on street patrol duty - and his new cadet Strongarm. While Strongarm is slightly awed at getting to work with the great hero Bumblebee, she's surprised that he didn't get a better position than street cop. The duo receives an alert about an in-progress 211. They find Sideswipe driving around a park with huge statues, scratching up the ground. While Bumblebee is in the middle of telling his partner that Sideswipe's not actually dangerous, he's suddenly distracted by a vision of Optimus Prime in a reflecting pool. Strongarm leaves him to his vision and heads off to deal with Sideswipe, and Optimus points Bumblebee to a diagram on a nearby building, indicating something to do with Earth. After an abortive attempt to stop Sideswipe, Strongarm manages to bash the renegade Autobot into the statue of Optimus Prime, and then slaps the cuffs on him, but to her horror, the damaged statue topples over, almost crushing Bumblebee. Snapped out of his trance, Bumblebee orders Strongarm to take the perp to the station while he heads towards the building Optimus pointed to.

On Earth, Denny Clay is moving a train car around his scrapyard when his son, Russell Clay arrives to stay while his mother's in Copenhagen. Russell is less than enthusiastic about this arrangement, but Denny shows off the 14th Street diner which he's recently had moved to the yard. Their discussion is interrupted by a loud boom from somewhere. Not far away in the woods, Fixit crawls from the shattered hulk of the prison ship Alchemor.

On Cybertron, Bumblebee enters the Cybertron History Museum and pokes around the back rooms, where he finds a space bridge with Earth co-ordinates already input. Optimus speaks to him in a another vision, telling him he's needed on Earth. In the middle of the vision Bumblebee's found by Strongarm, who's followed him there as per a regulation which means she has to accompany him at all times. Naturally she also still has Sideswipe handcuffed to her, and after Bumblebee explains he's received a mission from Optimus, he tells Strongarm to try to get the space bridge working while he distracts the guards.

A news report about a meteor piques Denny's interest, and he suggests he and Russell go look for it, though first Denny has to talk to a man who wants to sell him some Billy the Breakfast Beaver figures. Russell opts to go look for the meteor instead of helping with the deal. At the crash site, Fixit attempts to send a mayday to Cybertron Control, reporting that he's lost most of the stasis cells the ship was carrying.

Bumblebee manages to distract the museum guards for a brief time until they catch on to the fact that he's up to something. He's forced to deal with the pair, disabling them just as Sideswipe gets the bridge working. Ordering Strongarm to remain behind, Bumblebee charges through the open space bridge to Earth. Naturally Strongarm follows him with Sideswipe still cuffed to her, and though Bumblebee destroys the cuffs and orders Sideswipe to return to Cybertron, the punk runs off. Wandering through the woods elsewhere, Russell completely misses a set of giant footprints. Bumblebee and Strongarm find Fixit working on the wreckage of his ship, and he explains the situation with the missing prisoners. As the tracking systems come back online, Fixit detects a nearby Cybertronian signal. Figuring it's Sideswipe, Bumblebee and Strongarm head off to recapture the rogue Autobot.

Sideswipe is testing out the acoustics in a nearby rock formation when he bumps into Russell. They're both recovering from the shock when Underbite strolls up. Sideswipe introduces himself, but is none the wiser when Underbite reveals his name, though Underbite clarifies that he's the Decepticon who ate Nuon City. Sideswipe and Russell run for it, and Underbite consumes a nearby derelict van for energy. The fleeing pair find a clearing where Sideswipe transforms. As Underbite catches up with them, Sideswipe's able to speed off with Russell, and eventually finds Bumblebee and Strongarm. The Decepticon chases all four of them back to the crash site, where Fixit and Russell hid behind the last intact stasis cell, shortly before Grimlock pokes his head out of the end of it. After Underbite knocks the Autobots aside, Grimlock manages to goad Underbite into wrecking the stasis cell he's trapped in, freeing him. This only keeps Underbite busy for a short time, and the Decepticon spots the scrapyard through the trees, driving off to investigate. As the Autobots recover from the fight, Fixit tells them that Underbite is a Chompazoid, and gains power by eating metal. The Autobots realize that the scrapyard has enough material to make the Decepticon unstoppable.
Notes
Animation and technical errors
Continuity notes
*The opening shot of Cybertron is identical to how it looked in Prime and the War for Cybertron games.
*In this and part 2, the capsules holding the Decepticons are referred to as "stasis cells", whereas in later episodes they're referred to using the more standard name "stasis pods".

Transformers references
*Other statues in the park appear to depict Bulkhead, Ultra Magnus, and Starscream.
*Sidewipe's use of 'No...maybe' is rather similar to what Bulkhead sometimes said.

Real-world references
*211 is actually Earth police code for a robbery. Sideswipe just seems to be causing a public nuisance though.

Trivia
*As with the following dozen episodes, this first premiered in Mandarin on Chinese streaming video site M1905.
*Unlike Prime, Strongarm and Sideswipe have unique Cybertronian robot and vehicle forms.
*Before even scanning an Earth vehicle, Sideswipe's Cybertronian alt mode has a normal vehicle interior, including seats and seat belts, even though these would serve no practical purpose on Cybertron.
*Fixit states his favorite color is Red.
Assigned on a solo mission to Earth, Bumblebee unexpectedly finds himself saddled with a team.

Synopsis
Lieutenant Bumblebee and Cadet Strongarm are patrolling on Cybertron when they get an alert about an in-progress 211. While Strongarm is slightly awed at getting to work with the great hero Bumblebee, she's surprised that he didn't get a better position than street cop.

On Earth, Denny Clay is moving a bus around his scrapyard when his son, Russell Clay arrives to stay while his mother's in Copenhagen.

As the Autobots recover from the fight, Fixit tells them that Underbite is a Chompazoid, and gains power by eating stuff. The Autobots realize that the scrapyard has enough material to make the Decepticon unstoppable.
The Team is forced to participate in a reality show that captures extreme danger on camera.

Synopsis
Graham teaches the Bots about how maple syrup is extracted from trees, though Chase is confused by the fact that Cody likes maple syrup but not carrot soup. They take the extracted syrup to where Mayor Luskey is preparing to pour the first syrup of the harvest onto a giant stack of pancakes. Huxley Prescott is on hand, but disgruntled at having to cover such a mediocre event. He tries to interest Chief Burns in having the Bots participate in a reality show, but Burns once again turns him down. There's action to be had after all, as Luskey slips and falls onto the pancakes, requiring a quick save by Heatwave and Boulder, and giving Huxley something to film.

Back at the fire house, Blades is enthusiastic about the idea of appearing on television, more so than the other bots, but Cody believes there's little chance Huxley will get to do his show. Meanwhile, Huxley manages to sweet talk the mayor by showing him a theoretical title sequence featuring the Mayor prominently. Luskey agrees to a pilot episode.

Chief Burns breaks the news to the others, and they soon have a face-full of camera each. Burns quickly gives Huxley some ground rules, and instructs Cody to make sure the Bots are on their best robot behavior. As the cameras follow the team around, Huxley becomes frustrated at the lack of action. What appears to be the start of a promising car chase fizzles out after Don meekly pulls over to get a ticket, Heatwave rescues Mister Pettypaws from a runaway vacuum in scant moments, and Blades tows Mr Sharma's boat to shore safely, though Blades spends most of the time trying to think up a catchphrase. The Bots are confused by Huxley's disappointment at the way the rescues are going, as they value safety over excitement.

Huxley interrupts Graham's engineering homework with more questions, and Graham almost knocks over a jar of Squilsh. When Graham proves uninteresting, Huxley recalls his cameras for "recharging". Blades is perturbed by the idea that the cameras won't be ready if there's an emergency, and sure enough, there's a call from the zoo reporting that Nancy Morrison has fallen into the lion enclosure. The team soon has Nancy winched out, though the lion menaces Kade. The Bots jump in the way, and the lion moves in, only to start licking maple syrup off Boulder. Huxley berates the Chief for not telling him that the team was "planning" this rescue, and Chief responds that they don't plan rescues. An idea is sparked in Huxley's brain.

An emergency call soon arrives to say that the bank's been robbed, but when the team stops the armored car, it's just Jerry on his regular run. Unimpressed, the team starts trying to track the bogus emergency call. Elsewhere Huxley reviews his tapes and spots Graham's talk about the Squilsh's properties. Huxley soon sneaks into the fire station and swipes the Squilsh. Blades continues to try and think up catchphrases, despite Chief telling him he shouldn't be pursuing fame. Cody reports that he's traced the emergency call, and it came from Huxley Prescott. Huxley himself is at the dam, pouring the Squilsh into the water, but when he calls it in, Chief Burns tells him he's been rumbled. Discouraged by the lack of activity from the rescue team and the Squilsh, Prescott leaves the dam, unaware the Squilsh has started assimilating the water.

Prescott stops sometime later at some traffic lights, only for Edgar Prewett's truck to speed past and crash. As the fire begins to spread to the trees, Huxley rings the emergency services, and is completely disregarded by Kade who believes it's another false alarm. Luckily Chief Burns has Cody double-check, and the rescue team soon springs into action. Prescott continues to try and record everything, and as his cameras get in the way, Chief Burns tells him to stop filming. The firefighting soon gets into trouble as Heatwave runs dry, and Blades finds the dam full of Squilsh. With no water around, Cody hits on the idea of using maple syrup. While Blades heads to the sea to fill his scoop claw there, the other Bots head for the maple grove. The fire spreads towards Mayor Luskey's house, and Huxley tries to make himself a TV hero with a fire extinguisher, only for the extinguisher to run out long before the fire is under control. Luckily the team manages to use a combination of maple syrup and sea water to put the fire out.

Later on Blades laments that he's gone off television, but Cody cheers him up by showing him a live feed of Chief Burns making Huxley clean the maple syrup off Luskey's house.
Notes
Animation and technical errors
Continuity errors
* Some of the footage in Huxley's title sequence is from scenes where the Bots are acting like themselves, and even from episodes in which Prescott was not present.

Continuity notes
* Huxley's title sequence features shots from a number of season 1 episodes:
** Heatwave running with a telephone pole from "You've Been Squilshed".
** Chase catching a tank of dangerous chemicals from "The Alien Invasion of Griffin Rock".
** Blades hitting the Squilsh with a sculpture, from "You've Been Squilshed".
** Boulder catching the runaway solar car from "The Other Doctor".
* Graham's homework is presumably from Gremsky Technical Institute. It and the Squilsh were first established in "You've Been Squilshed".
* Griffin Rock Zoo and its lion first appeared in "Walk on the Wild Side".
* Heatwave uses his energize weapon to put out fire with maple syrup.

Transformers references
Real-world references
When Kade goes down into the lion enclosure he says to Nancy "Trust me you do not want to join his circle of life," he references the 1994 Walt Disney movie "The Lion King"

Quotes
"Heroes need a spotlight to become legends. Mayor, you are that legend in waiting. Look at that face! The camera simply loves you!"<br />
"Well, ah. Maybe just a pilot episode."
:—Huxley Prescott and Mayor Luskey

"I'm just trying to come up with my catchphrase, Dani. Every reality star has one. Oh, how about 'That really takes the tuna!' or 'You've been coptered!'?"<br />
"How about silence is golden?"
:—Blades and Dani

"Well, why can't we give 'em both? Get the job done but do it with style, ha cha!"
:—Blades, followed by complete silence.

"But this is reality TV!"<br />
"Blades, it can either be reality or TV, not both."
:—Blades and Heatwave

"Using a breakfast topping against a thousand degree fire. What could possibly go wrong?"

When Kade goes down into the lion enclosure he says to Nancy "Trust me you do not want to join his circle of life," A reference to the 1994 Walt Disney movie "The Lion King"

Trivia
* Prescott drinks a lot of coffee!
Foreign localization
