In the distant past, the All Spark Cube created a race of powerful, trans-dimensional beings as the first inhabitants of Cybertron. The Cube gave these beings mighty powers, as well as terraforming their world, but it was not limitless, and gradually became depleted. The first beings learned that the All Spark's power could be replenished by harvesting the energy of stars, but they were unable to locate new stars to suit their purposes, despite their amazing ability to travel between dimensions. Once again, the Cube came to the rescue, creating a race of workers, who had the ability to change their shape.

Mixmaster was among the very first of these new beings, one of several "builders" who would construct a harvester when a suitable sun had been found. Once built, the device would drain the energy of these stars, thus replenishing the All Spark. Defiance issue 4 It is presumed that at some point during the civil war on Cybertron, he sided with Megatron, the new protege of Mixmaster's only surviving ancient master, The Fallen.
After the All Spark shard was retrieved from NEST's secure bunker at Diego Garcia, Long Haul, Rampage, Mixmaster, Scalpel, Ravage and another Constructicon secreted themselves aboard the Bayos freighter heading towards the North Atlantic. Once the ship passed over the Laurentian Abyss, the Decepticons jumped overboard and dove down to where Megatron's broken body lay. Scalpel ordered the death of the smallest Constructicon to rebuild Megatron, a request that Mixmaster and the others obliged with. Soon, Megatron was reborn!

After Megatron killed Optimus Prime, Mixmaster climbed the Brooklyn Bridge and knocked down the American flag in a display of dominance as The Fallen broadcast a worldwide message demanding the humans bring them the head of Sam Witwicky.

Some time later, Mixmaster and another Constructicon with the same body-type were present during the climactic battle in Egypt between the Autobot/NEST forces and the Decepticons. Mixmaster and several other Constructicons waited in a quarry in their construction vehicle disguises until the humans Seymour Simmons, Leo Spitz and their Autobot guardians Skids and Mudflap approached. The Constructicons combined into the mighty Devastator and attacked. Elsewhere, the other Mixmaster fought against the NEST forces in the Egyptian town near the great ruins of the pyramids, using his cannon emplacement mode to cause serious problems, until the ex-Decepticon Jetfire arrived to slice him in half and crush his torso. Meanwhile, Devastator had shrugged off the Autobot twins and was busy demolishing the Great Pyramid of Giza when Simmons called upon the United States Navy to attack Devastator. The U.S.S. Kidd fired her experimental railgun, smashing one of his arms to pieces and destroying Devastator. Revenge of the Fallen (film)
The alleged "Transformers reference" that the other race cars, and Disaster's truck, look like the Stunticons, seems highly dubious to me. Disaster's truck doesn't have Motormaster's distinctive cupola windows (or any cupola), there's no six-wheeled F1 car, and none of the cars particularly resemble a Porsche, Lamborghini, or Ferrari. And, the color schemes are all wrong. Opinions? JW 04:14, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
Maximal Disaster
So, I think the resemblance between Master Disaster's logo and the Beast Wars Maximal logo is strong enough to bear mention. I mean, except for the cheek-fringe, the "hollow" ears, and the fact that Disaster's sometimes has a jaw, they're the same. Opinions? ::::::Bad example: since when are head normal shaped in Animated? {{unsigned|Countmall]]
:::::::Perfectly good example. The Autobot symbol's often distorted when viewed far away, but in close shots, it's always dead on. If this were a Maximal symbol homage, it'd be a lot more accurate in its close shots. This is a demon face—as in "Street Demons"—with a concave arc between the ears/horns and a fanged lower jaw. The Maximal symbol is a vaguely fox-like animal face, with a convex arc between distinct ears and no lower jaw. That's not even counting the Street Demon's lack of cheek fringes (fur?), the triangular Street Demon eyes versus the four-sided Maximal eyes, and the different proportions overall.--Apcog 03:55, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

Synopsis
In Brasnya, Megatron (in his best General Zod impersonation) gloats over Optimus Prime's dead body and orders the Autobots to kneel before him. Furious, Jazz, Hardhead and Wheeljack instead attack him but accomplish nothing thanks to Megatron's enhanced Ore-13 power. Elsewhere on the battlefield, Hot Rod wants to join the others in attacking Megatron but Prowl orders him to stay with Georgi Koska and wait for Nightbeat to teleport them back to the ship. Prowl joins the battle himself, hoping Prime isn't really dead. Prime is indeed alive, having downloaded his mind into his Combat Deck module. While in this transition, known as infraspace, Prime has a strange vision of a unidentified Transformer calling his name.

In Fort Wayne, Ironhide and Ratchet attempt to rescue Verity and Jimmy. Ratchet cuts a hole while Ironhide's holomatter driver grows in size and lifts them up through it. Ratchet clears the shop just as the countdown reaches zero and the building explodes, but Ironhide is not as lucky. Clutched in Verity's hand is the Machination's calling card.

In Brasnya, Hot Rod and the facsimile are attacked by Skywarp and Thundercracker before Nightbeat can beam them out. A disembodied Prime contacts the Autobots and explains the weakness of Ore-13, having experienced it while battling Thunderwing. Prime reconnects with his battered body and blasts Megatron in the head at point blank range, wearing out his Ore-13 instantly and causing his retreat. Unfortunately, the Facsimile was destroyed by the Decepticons' attack and Hot Rod was badly damaged.

In Machination's headquarters, Dante brings Hunter to the damaged Transformer from the previous issue and explains that the procedure is now a success. Hunter's purpose is now served, and Dante ponders if perhaps he could be part of their New World Order, which involves several headless Sunstreaker duplicates.

In Washington, Skywatch leader Joshua Red learns of the Brasnya incident and while the archaeological dig at Eureka won't net anything useful for the moment, the long captured and chained up Ravage and Laserbeak are ready and raving to go.

At the Decepticon base, an angry Megatron demands Sixshot be summoned, although it's not the proper phase for his level of devastation to be used on a world. Observing the exchange on Mumu-Obscura, the Reapers prepare to follow him to Earth.
Synopsis
Hunter O'Nion is in a strange medical facility surrounded by personnel but he quickly passes out.

At an auto-parts store in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Ironhide and Ratchet observe that the store has sophisticated scanners that could detect their holo-matter drivers. Logically, Verity and Jimmy can sneak in as they are organic (how convenient).

The Decepticons have discovered the Autobots in Brasnya, and Blitzwing is camouflaged and in prime position to take a shot at Optimus Prime. Megatron gives the go ahead, but as he's about to fire, Roller (controlled by Prime) takes Blitzwing out with a cannon blast. Megatron gives the order for Georgi Koska to self terminate and the other Autobots scramble to preserve him for study. Skywarp and Astrotrain attack the Autobots but the arrival of Hardhead and Hot Rod help even the odds. Prime prepares to face down Megatron.

At the auto shop, Verity and Jimmy poke around for information but set off a booby trap.
