::::Except even that Romanization isn't necessarily 100% correct. The "w" sound only derives from the dipthonging of the "gu-o" portion of the title, for instance. If they'd used the kana "wo", I'd agree more with it. But yeah, since the official Romanization is "Dagwon", the "Dag-" prefix for all the mecha is technically a little more correct than the "Dug-" prefix. Otherwise, they're interchangeable.
