:Quake is a Decepticon Targetmaster from the Generation 1 continuity family.

Quake is a berserker. When he enters a battlefield, he will not rest until anything and everything within sight is in smoldering ruins, including his own comrades. It will often take cries of protest from fellow Decepticons to "point the other way, you idiot!" to remind him to pick his targets more selectively. This, he claims, is just part of one of his unconventional "battle techniques."

Quake can become so caught up in the battle frenzy that his systems can overheat and shut him down. His endurance is second-to-none, however, and he has pulled through even the most seemingly final of defeats.

His Targetmaster partners are Tiptop and Heater.

Quake was one of the Triumvirate's gladiators on Cybertron and took a full fusion cannon blast from Megatron before the latter had the Triumvirate killed and assumed control of their territory. The Fall and Rise of the Decepticon Empire. He briefly went to Earth, where a fight between him and Joyride badly injured a human. Dreadwing Down!

He was later sent by the Decepticon High Council to Earth alongside Ruckus, Crankcase, Windsweeper and Flamefeather to bring back Thunderwing after his failed bid for 'Con leadership. Thunderwing was unwilling to return, though, and when he punched out Ruckus, Quake made the mistake of shooting at him, for which he was grabbed by the barrel and used as a club to beat up the others. Rage! Afterwards, Thunderwing had his new team make a suicide attack on the Ark, but thankfully Ruckus convinced him that a good leader knows when to retreat. Assault on the Ark!

On Cybertron, Quake became part of the Transformer race's united defense against Unicron. The Void! (US) When the Chaos-Bringer arrived, Quake attacked Unicron's foot alongside the Autobots Joyride and Waverider. Their combined firepower was enough to make Unicron go "Ouch", but a devastating optic beam scattered the attackers. On the Edge of Extinction! Despite the blast, Quake survived Unicron's assault and was present when Optimus Prime expired after the war was over. Still Life! He also attended the summit meeting between the Autobots and Decepticons, as the two factions tried to maintain peace. Like many Decepticons, though, Quake had trouble with the concept. Getting along with Autobots like Wheeljack was tough enough, but he also treated their human "comrades" like so much luggage (though, to be fair, they were boxed up in a crate). Exodus!

Few Decepticons had to have been happier than Quake when their new leader, Bludgeon, ended the alliance, stranding the Autobots on Cybertron while the Decepticons went marauding on the planet Klo. Quake relished in the devastation the Decepticons caused on that world. The Last Autobot? When the Autobots eventually arrived, they were ambushed and beaten almost to the last man. Quake joined a 'Con patrol hunting down the last five Autobots left alive, during which time he blasted Blaster from behind. As he was not seen afterwards (yet Blaster was—nice shot there, Quake), he probably didn't fare too well against Grimlock and the other ambushed Autobots. End of the Road! (US)

Trigger-Happy!
Following a botched sting operation, Backstreet went on the run from his fellow Autobots, frightened over the consequences in store for him for his failure. Seeing an opportunity to turn one of Optimus's soldiers to his side, Megatron had Ruckus and Quake accompany him in tracking down the wayward Autobot. They trailed Backstreet to an abandoned amusement park, where Megatron instructed his soldiers to wait at a distance while he made his recruitment pitch. Listening in, Quake became so engrossed that he failed to notice Optimus Prime barreling towards him. He wound up getting knocked aside by the Autobot leader, who proceeded to rescue his soldier and return him home. Trigger-Happy!

Transformers Comic-Magazin
Quake was present when Megatron made peaceful gestures to Humanity in New York City; and the Decepticons gave a "statue" of Snaptrap as a gift to the city. Unsurprisingly, once Humanity was off-guard, the Decepticons struck, and the Autobots barely stopped them. Those events were recorded on a videotape that was later found and watched by Autobots on Cybertron after a nuclear disaster in Kalis. Transformers Comic-Magazin issue 21

The characteristics of Quake and the other "Small Targetmaster Decepticons" were reviewed by Optimus Prime and Bumblebee in a simulation watched by Goldbug. Transformers Comic-Magazin issue 15

Another Time & Place
Quake was among the Decepticon warriors who attacked Hydrus Four with Bludgeon, assuming control of the Nucleon production facility in the hopes of reviving Megatron. They captured the Dinobots easily enough and Quake guarded them, prodding them with an electro mace whether they stepped out of line or not, but a full Autobot task force soon followed and the Decepticons were overwhelmed and defeated. Another Time & Place

Marvel Generation 2 comic
Miraculously alive and well, Quake was serving on the bridge of the new Warworld Bludgeon had constructed for raiding other ships in space and stocking up on resources. Primal Fear! He was one of countless Decepticons under Bludgeon's command when they fought the Autobots over ownership of a cache of weapons on an unnamed barren world. The Decepticons were easily overpowering the Autobots, but Bludgeon ordered a retreat when the gigantic, monstrous creature that guarded their quarry warned them away. Ghosts Quake was later part of a raiding party which landed on Earth, and enjoyed spreading chaos and destruction among the humans. Devices and Desires! (Marvel) Like most of Bludgeon's Decepticons, however, he was quickly cowed when Megatron returned and killed Bludgeon, forcing the Decepticons back under his command. The Power and the Glory

During a Cybertronian attack on the Warworld, Quake was destroyed. Again. New Dawn
3H comics
With the emergence of the Wreckers, Mutants, and Dinobots on Vehicon-controlled Cybertron, Megatron needed more Vehicon Generals to counter the insurgents. He picked the sparks of Quake and Blastcharge, who served Megatron's namesake well, and put them in new Vehicon bodies and gave them experimental drones to command.

Quake and Blastcharge followed Primal Prime's group to the lair of the recluse spider Arcee, but got there too late to catch up with the main force. Blastcharge shot Fractyl, who had stayed behind to talk to Arcee. Quake rumbled that the Predacon was only worth five points for being "a half-pint loser" rather than the ten Blastcharge claimed, leaving two drones to clean up the mess as they went to hunt down the other Wreckers.

The two arrived at the Wreckers' destination, a shuttle hangar, right in the middle of a battle between the small force and a horde of drones led by Spy Streak. Quake was not impressed with many of the Maximals' small size, and chose to taunt the relatively tiny Tigatron. This was a mistake. Tigatron opened his chest, and with the awesome elemental powers of the Vok, Quake was destroyed. (Anybody else sensing a trend here?) Departure
Quake became a member of Ratbat's faction of Ultracons during the Dark Ages. Quake served with Headstrong's ground troops on board the Decepticon starship Thanatos, under the overall command of Razorclaw. They joined the Autobot Wreckers in confronting Thunderwing on Cybertron. Stormbringer issue 4

After the fall of Megatron, what remained of the Decepticon hierarchy retreated to a burnt-out husk of a planet. Quake and Razorclaw were among the nearly 100 Decepticons present, possibly having arrived with the rest of the crew of the Thanatos. As the mood in the camp descended into cannibalistic survivalism, Quake turned against the Decepticon leaders and attempted to assassinate Starscream.
Quake served under Dai Atlas during the War of the Threefold Spark. Escape Part Three He helped rescue a wounded Cyclonus in the final battle of the war. Darkness, Once Gazed Upon: Part One A berserker by nature, Quake developed an addiction to violence during the war and proved unable to readjust to peacetime. Although Froid tried to treat him, the psychiatrist was unable to curb his appetite for destruction and eventually wrote him off as one of his four substantial failures, though Froid also held the opinion that limiting Quake's access to his only legitimate medium of self-expression was a poor decision. By the era just before the Great War, Quake still hadn't reintegrated into society, and his warlike personality led him into Megatron's burgeoning Ascenticon movement. The World In Your Eyes Part Three

Secretly, however, Quake was also part of The Rise, the radical splinter cell led by Shockwave and deliberately cultivated by Megatron to effect change in Cybertronian society. The Cracks Beneath Your Feet Part Five Following a staged attack on one of Megatron's Ascenticon rallies just after Brainstorm's murder, supposedly at the hands of the Ascenticons, Quake was one of the four initial Ascenticons recruited into Megatron's new Ascenticon Guard—a development that caused no small amount of concern for the Autobots, who were already aware of Quake's notorious reputation. The World In Your Eyes Part Three

Eventually, the Ascenticon sympathizer Barricade learned the whereabouts of a Voin trader who had supposedly been privy to Brainstorm's killing, and passed this information along to Soundwave; once Soundwave relayed the news to Shockwave, he sent Quake to Iacon's Xeno-Quarter to silence the loose end before Security Operations got to the Voin first. The Cracks Beneath Your Feet Part Five Quake easily killed his target, but then spied Rubble, who had followed the Voin out of curiosity. Quake assumed that the newborn was a spy, chased him through the Xeno-Quarter, and easily killed him. The World In Your Eyes Part Five

As a result of his reckless behavior, Shockwave had Quake kept on a tight leash for some time, hidden away in a secret Rise bunker with Frenzy under Sixshot's supervision. Rise of the Decepticons: Swindle's Once the news came that they had to up stakes and relocate their hidden base, Quake and some other "problematic" members of The Rise were loaded aboard Roughstuff's trailer for the move until a sudden ground quake upended their transport. To make matters worse, the sociopathic Triggerhappy then shot Roughstuff for no reason, leaving the group stranded in the wilderness. They were inadvertently discovered by a team of geologists, who recognized the wanted Quake and called in Security. Novastar's quick-response strike team soon arrived to save the geologists from the Risers, with Quake transforming to tank mode and shooting down Springer in the ensuing melee. He then fell for Smokescreen's decoy tactics and wound up ensnared in a paralyzing net by Novastar. Rise of the Decepticons: Tremors

Sixshot's arrival changed the tide of battle and Quake was freed by Frenzy and Rumble. However, Quake soon found himself attacked by the massive Leviathan, who picked him up and smashed him into the ground. He managed to shoot out her knee with his tank cannon, but she toppled onto Quake, pinning him under her gargantuan form. Sixshot decided to cut losses and retreated with Rumble and Frenzy, leaving Quake to be taken into custody by Security. Sentinel Prime wanted to make a spectacle of Quake's capture and had Security parade him out in public in front of the unruly masses.

Skytread seeded the crowd with Ascenticon sympathizers, and upon receiving Soundwave's decree that Quake could not enter Senate custody, had them start a riot to cover for Quake's escape. Still manacled, Quake leaped from the hovering platform he was being transported on into the crowd, muscling his way to freedom down a side alley. He encountered a Voin asserter and its slaved simian enforcers, seeking vengeance for Quake's earlier murder of one of their kind. Quake managed to trick the attacking organics into breaking his manacles, losing a hand in the process. He then brutally slaughtered the Voin and its enforcers, but not without incurring severe damage. Bumblebee arrived in the alley in time to see Quake slowly shifting to his tank mode in an attempt to escape. Fearing that Quake would again escape justice for Rubble's murder, Bumblebee seized one of the Voin's fallen swords and drove it straight through the back of Quake's neck as he was transforming. Bumblebee then wrenched Quake's head and entire spark chamber clean out of his body, killing him. Rise of the Decepticons: Prisoners
:Titans Return "Decepticon Quake" is a redeco of Hardhead, transforming into a futuristic tank of made-up model. Although his tank treads are merely molded detail, he possesses a set of hidden wheels underneath the front of his vehicle mode and in his rear tank treads that allow him to roll. In robot mode, he can either mount his non-firing turret on his shoulder (as pictured) or carry it in his hand, though due to its size it can make the figure somewhat unstable. His rifle—which, interestingly, seems to be generally modeled after a real-life Heckler & Koch G36C subcarabine—an also be carried, mounted on his shoulder, or plugged in on top of the larger gun.

:Quake comes with his Titan Master partner Chasm (retooled from Furos), who fits into his vehicle mode cockpit and transforms into his robot mode head. As with other Titans Return toys, Quake can accommodate any Titan Master figure in both robot and vehicle mode. Due to the placement of the socket for Titan Masters to attach, Quake can be fully transformed into vehicle mode without removing his head. His head socket is a bit on the tight side; turning Chasm's head 180° before inserting him will make for a smoother fit. However, this should be done with caution, as grooves in the neck port can scratch the paint off of Chasm's face with repeated use.

:In addition to the cockpit, Quake's turret can be opened to reveal a seat that allows any Titan Master figure to man it in both modes, with the cover also featuring a pair of angled pegs for a Titan Master to (somewhat insecurely) peg onto. Quake additionally sports four pegs on his treads that allow Titan Master figures to attach to his vehicle mode. (The rifle also has a small port that lets you store it on any of these pegs.) All this means that, not counting the neck socket, Quake's vehicle mode can accommodate a grand total of six extra Titan Masters at once.
:Part of the fourth wave of Legacy: United Deluxe Class toys, "G1 Universe Quake" is a heavy retool of Legacy Skullgrin, only retaining the forearms, hands, back, feet, and shoulder, ankle, and elbow joints, and transforming into a tank in 24 steps. The tip of his cannon barrel is compatible with Fire Blast effect parts. His tank turret is removable and comes detached in-box, but it does not need to be removed in order for him to transform, and cannot be held due to it only having 5 mm ports.

:He comes with his Targetmaster partners, "G1 Universe Tiptop" and "G1 Universe Heater", which he can wield in both hands or mount on any 5 mm port. Tiptop and Heater can also combine into a super weapon, much like the original, and are blast effect compatible. As an undocumented feature, the two Targetmasters have rectangular pegs behind their heads that can attach to Quake's vehicle mode--specifically, the blue plate that becomes Quake's chest. The ports can be used when Quake's in robot mode, but no matter how you attach Tiptop and Heater to him, the result will make Quake look a bit silly.

: The original mold was also used to make the Buzzworthy Bumblebee G2 Universe Cybertronian Trooper.
:Quake, Ground Assault is one of forty-six double sided character cards released as part of Wave 5 of the Transformers Trading Card Game, Titans Masters Attack. As a character with a body mode, Quake begins the game with a Titan Master attached in head mode. Once Quake is KO'd, said Titan Master is deployed.

:The card's artwork is based on the Titans Return Quake toy, with the body mode artwork being reused from the toy's packaging art (minus the Chasm Titan Master). The card features original Alt Mode artwork, with lines by Sara Pitre-Durocher and colors by Zoner.

:This card's set was originally set for an April 2020 release, however due to the global COVID-19 pandemic the release was pushed back to May 29, 2020.
Quake had tank drones that looked exactly like Tankor's Mega-size toy, colors and all. (In The Wreckers comics, Tankor's Tank Drones were drawn to look like their CGI model from the television series, which was visually distinct.)
The Disappeared are a collection of Transformers that—as their name implies—disappeared from the war at various points throughout its history.

Fiction
2005 IDW continuity
Having become obsessed with chronicling the death of every single Cybertronian following the loss of his friend Tusk, the former forensic pathologist Censere erected a Memorial to the Disappeared on the Necroworld alongside statues of the Transformers whose fates he was able to record. When the crew of the Lost Light investigated the rumours of the "Necrobot", Nightbeat met with Censere and discovered that he was listed amongst the Disappeared thanks to having been pulled into the Dead Universe after his death at the hands of Hardhead. Nightbeat then took Chromedome and Rewind to the Memorial to show them that Dominus Ambus was also named there. Afterwards, Nightbeat took Censere to task over his obsession and suggested that he try to look after the living instead of recording the dead. The Not Knowing

Censere took Nightbeat's words seriously, and upon discovering a time case left by Megatron near his own statue, connected it to his teleport chamber and attempted to rescue all of the Disappeared. Ironically, his actions ultimately created many of the Disappeared thanks to their unexplained departures from their own times. The time travel often left them weak and disoriented so Censere kept them in stasis, disguised as organic life to hide them from unwanted attention. Unfortunately his actions did not go unnoticed and the Decepticon Justice Division arrived, presumably looking for some of the missing 'bots from their own list. They set a trap for Megatron and the crew of the Lost Light and killed Censere when he tried to interfere.

Later, under siege from the D.J.D. in Censere's fortress, Team Rodimus was greatly surprised when the stasis pods containing the "organics" opened to reveal the likes of Roller, Wavelength, Syphon, and Terminus. After reading Censere's journal, Rewind explained to Rodimus that thanks to the D.J.D. around half of the names on the Memorial of the Disappeared would remain unaccounted for. The Dying of the Light Part 6: Do Not Go Gentle

When more of the Disappeared began to wake up, Ultra Magnus held a 819 slide presentation to brief them on when and where they were as well as recent events. Dissolution Part 1: Some Other Cybertron

After Team Rodimus had left Necroworld, After Megatron (A Dissolution Epilogue) the Decepticon members of the Disappeared murdered their Autobot counterparts and took over the planet. They were then killed by the Luna 1 Autobots. Sardines
Notes
*The Festival of Lost Light included a Hymn for the Disappeared. Foreshadowing!
*The first time we see the Memorial in "The Not Knowing", the name above that of Dominus Ambus ends with "...MLET", when we see it again in "Do Not Go Gentle" there's what appears to read "...N EIM..." and in "Anomie" it begins with "SCRAMBL...". Presumably there's a Scramblin' Eimlet out there somewhere?
*In "Anomie", one of the names on the Memorial is 'Shock of Polyhex', though the Shock we are familiar with signed his name as 'Shock of Bitrex' in "No Guns, No Swords, No Briefcases" and he was killed by a Sparkeater rather than mysteriously disappearing, as his fellow Duobot Ore did in "You, Me, and Other Revelations". This could mean that we're either dealing with a different Shock, or that not even the Necrobot can tell Shock and Ore apart.
*Interestingly, none of the Disappeared whose names are visible in "Anomie" are M.T.O.s, as they are all named after city-states rather than military operations.
*Two unnamed Disappeared Decepticons in Lost Light #2 are modeled on the Energon Divebomb and Cybertron Hardtop molds, with new color schemes.
Bruticus is the combined form of the Combaticon team. A terrifying sight on the battlefield, Bruticus is among the strongest of all Transformers. He can pulverize a suspension bridge with a single 14,000 psi punch. He can lift up to 500,000 pounds. His armor is impervious to most artillery and radiation.
Bruticus became active for the first time during a battle between Starscream's rogue Decepticon brigade and Megatron's forces. Anticipating Megatron's expected moves, he waited for his former leader to order the Constructicons to merge into Devastator. Starscream then unleashed his surprise—he similarly ordered the Combaticons to form the mighty Bruticus. Though extremely low in intelligence, even by the standards of combined robots, he was also extremely powerful, easily defeating Devastator and sending the remaining Decepticons loyal to Megatron into retreat. Unfortunately, the Stunticons arrived and formed Menasor, who launched an attack from behind, quickly subduing Bruticus. Starscream's Brigade

Starscream and the Combaticons were banished from Earth on an asteroid, and the group quickly had a falling-out. After Starscream left, the Combaticons attacked Cybertron, easily defeating Shockwave and his drones. Thirsting for revenge, the Combaticons reprogrammed the space bridge to pull Earth closer to the Sun, in the hopes of destroying it and every Transformer there. The Autobots and Decepticons temporarily joined forces to retake Cybertron and prevent Earth's destruction, and with Starscream's help, they deactivated the Combaticons once they formed Bruticus through a failsafe device built into the treacherous giant's back. Optimus Prime and Megatron agreed that Bruticus must be destroyed, but the Decepticon leader fooled the Autobots by using Shockwave's holographic simulator to make it appear as though Bruticus was destroyed, when in reality the combiner was reprogrammed to be loyal only to Megatron. The Revenge of Bruticus

Soon afterwards, during Megatron's latest scheme on Earth involving the theft of fighter aircraft using Middle-Eastern criminals, the Combaticons were called into service to defend Megatron's Giant Purple Griffin, a large... thing that apparently pumped oil. Or something. Struggling against the Aerialbots, the Combaticons formed Bruticus, yet were still knocked over when the Autobot planes twisted a tow cable around his legs. The Decepticon combiner was finally defeated when the Aerialbots ignited the nearby oil wells, causing a massive explosion that sent Megatron, Rumble and Bruticus flying away. Aerial Assault

Later, Bruticus was walking down the street, minding his own business (i.e. attacking a human city) when BAM! Bruticus was destroyed in battle with Defensor (man, this guy can't seem to catch a break). Only Swindle survived, and he sold the remains of his comrades to various mercenaries and third-world dictator-types, only to be forced to locate and rebuild the Combaticons by Megatron. The reformed Bruticus was then defeated when Megatron's orbit disruptor cannon was overloaded by the human-built B.O.T., once again sending the Decepticon flying into the sky. B.O.T. (episode)

For some reason, in the year 2006 the Combaticons were idly hanging around as Bruticus during the Decepticon occupation of Paradron. He served as something of a comic foil for Galvatron, acting as straight-man while Galvatron delivered witticisms that were completely lost on the giant warrior. Also... that old line about "losing your head if you weren't attached to it"? Apparently, you can lose a foot even if it was attached, because Brawl was manning a molecular cannon while Bruticus was in the control room with Galvatron. If you don't watch those feet, they just run right off on their own. Fight or Flee (episode)

During a Decepticon invasion of Japan, Bruticus was battling Defensor near a dojo. He enraged his opponent by negligently putting the humans in danger with their combat and, once Rodimus Prime and Sky Lynx arrived to back up Defensor, Bruticus split into the individual Combaticons and fled. The Burden Hardest to Bear
In 1986, the Autobots and their human allies worked diligently on their "Scramble City" project, a giant mobile fortress. Several Decepticons under the command of Starscream were dispatched to attack the secret construction site, but were defeated by the Aerialbots. Due to Starscream's failure to stop the Aerialbots, the Stunticons were quickly sent in, and soon in the battle formed Menasor. Menasor managed to corrupt Superion's formation by shooting one of his own limbs onto his opponent, rendering Superion vulnerable. However, he was soon stopped, and Superion regained his balance. Eventually, the Combaticons came in to help Menasor (though not willingly), forming Bruticus. The two tag-teamed against Superion, but were both stopped when Scramble City itself was brought into battle to end the conflict. Scramble City: Mobilization
Combination technology was something the Decepticon Warlord Deathsaurus had long tinkered with, since the days of his fortress in Gygax. Although his early experiments were discontinued thanks to the Autobot Elite Guard, he remained interested in the idea, and eventually found the perfect means to implement it. Hasbro Transformers Collectors' Club issue 36
When the Combaticons were swayed to joining forces with Deathsaurus they received various upgrades. They demonstrated the most potent of these upgrades when they were surrounded by their former comrades in the Elite Guard and combined into Bruticus. The combiner then proceeded to crush their former commanding officer Sentinel Major with one mighty hand. This prompted the other Elite Guardsmen to attack in search of vengeance. The Coming Storm: Part 5
The Italian box layout was based very closely on the standard Hasbro combiner giftsets at that time, down to the inclusion of a Hasbro product code number; but unlike the other GiG combiner giftsets, "Multiforce" lacked the Hasbro logo on the front of the box, and the individual components sported Takara numbers from D-64 to D-68 before their names.

:The individual Combaticons were re-released in various European markets as part of the "Classics" line in 1991, and a Bruticus giftset was reissued by TakaraTomy in Japan in 2009.

: This version of Bruticus comes as a gift set, exclusive to Amazon and BigBadToyStore. Packaged in a Generation 2-styled box complete with hand-painted character art, it contains redecoes of all five Generations Fall of Cybertron Combaticons in their Generation 1 doppelgangers' Generation 2 colors, complete with Generation 2 Decepticon insignia. While Onslaught forms the torso, the remaining team members can serve as any of the four limbs, though the official configuration has Vortex as the left arm, Blast Off as the right arm, Brawl as the left leg, and Swindle as the right leg. The individual weapons the Combaticons have can be combined into a "Sonic Cannon" for Bruticus to wield via 5 mm post.

: Like the original releases of the mold, this Bruticus also possessed some balance issues. This is mostly caused by having all of the Combaticons being Deluxes, Onslaught included. Although the 4 limb Combaticons can assume either an arm or foot position, certain members fare very poorly in certain modes, such as Brawl as an arm or Blast Off as a leg, which creates further balancing problems for Bruticus.

: Preorders for the set began on July 6 of 2012 via Amazon (BigBadToyStore would not put up theirs until much later), and the final product was shipped out in early/mid-November. This may be considered a tie-in to Amazon's preorder bonus for the Fall of Cybertron game: a "Generation 2"-themed skin for Bruticus. This set was also available at normal retail in Australia.
:Released exclusively in Hasbro's Asian markets, this redeco of the Energon Bruticus Maximus set has colours similar to the previous Universe/Revenge of the Fallen release, but with a much greater emphasis on G1-accuracy. Additionally, the hand/feet/weapons previously cast in translucent coloured plastic are now opaque grey.

:While unconfirmed, it seems likely that this release was conceived to satisfy then-high collector demand for the original Universe Bruticus Maximus set, a result of the unofficial Explorer and Munitioner upgrade kits released for the figure by "third party" company FansProject.
:One of the first Kre-O Micro-Changer combiner sets, Bruticus includes four Kreons: Onslaught, Brawl, Vortex, and Swindle. These four component Kreons can be rebuilt into their alternate modes or taken apart and combined into Bruticus.

:Like all Micro Changer combiner sets, Bruticus comes with only one Kre-O display brick, and a sticker sheet composed of his leg, arm and right shoulder details and a Kre-O logo. Due to the limb stickers being slightly transparent, applying them into the black-colored leg parts could render the details being semi-transparent. The instructions also did not mention where you should put the Kre-O logo sticker. Also, Bruticus's combined mode's waist part is somehow prone to falling off from the assembly while posing, and he has a problem standing straight due to how the legs are constructed.

:Despite Blast Off's exclusion from the set, he was later released in the first wave of blind bag figures and, with enough creativity, can be combined into Bruticus.

:Combiner Wars Bruticus is formed from all five Combaticon figures and Shockwave. Designed in the "Scramble City" style, all four Deluxe Combaticons can each become either an arm or a leg, and come with double-barrelled guns that can transform into either a foot or a fist to complete the limb. The stock photography shows Blast Off and Vortex as arms and Swindle and Brawl as legs. Shockwave transforms into the combiner robot's handheld weapon, but his overall weight makes it largely impossible for him to be held by any combiner in a firing pose without falling over or pulling the arm down. Even worse, as Onslaught is retooled from Hot Spot, Bruticus retains Defensor's forward-lean problem. Unlike Defensor however, the leaning problem can be resolved by turning Bruticus's thighs inward, forcing the pelvis armor to push against Onslaught's knees and correcting his posture, although this will force Bruticus into a strange A-legged stance.

:A promotional CGI render of the combined mode has Bruticus slightly mistransformed, having Blast Off's legs facing knees forward in his arm mode, which would leave Bruticus' left arm without a double elbow. Though difficult, it is possible to arrange Vortex's rotors in a shield-like position.

:Like Defensor before him, all four limbs were released in the same wave, making it much easier to complete a set. He is also the first "classic" combiner in the Combiner Wars series to not have a "replacement" member. However, Blast Off was relegated to a simple redeco of Quickslinger, leaving him with a different alt-mode (a jet instead of a space shuttle) and an inaccurate head. In 2018 Hasbro released a redeco of the Unite Warriors version of Blast Off (see below) as a more accurate replacement.
* Much like the individual Combaticons who form him, Bruticus's character model has a couple of oddities, due to the majority of it being based on unfinished, vague toy design sketches (at right) instead of actual toy references.
** Bruticus's chest plate is drawn to look like it is formed from parts of Blast Off—mainly his wings, but the central portion of the chestplate is drawn to look like his shuttle cockpit hull, with the orientation of its details reversed. Certain detailed combination sequences, seen in "Aerial Assault," "The Revenge of Bruticus", and "B.O.T.", actually show Blast Off's wings disconnecting and moving into place as the chestplate, but these sequences also misinterpret some of Bruticus's details, and wind up depicting the two wheels at the base of the chestplate, which are supposed to be part of Onslaught's torso, as being connected to the plate and hence part of Blast Off.
** While Bruticus' toy has wheels on the back of its thighs, his cartoon model only depicts this detail on his left thigh, almost certainly a product of his rear-view character model being designed without the toy for reference, like multiple other season 2 characters—not that it matters much in practise, as the odd detail is almost consistently omitted from his actual in-show appearances.
** Bruticus has two head designs in the cartoon: the detailed one seen in his full-body character model, which features in most of his animated appearances, and a simplified, more angular one that appears consistently in "The Revenge of Bruticus" and "Fight or Flee," and in select brief scenes of other episodes.
* The packaging of the 1991 European Classics release of the original Onslaught toy depicted Bruticus and the Combaticons in (mostly) new color schemes, despite the fact that the actual toys looked identical to their original releases. While it may never be known for certain, it has been theorized that these colors were the cause of an error with the hue settings of the stock photos, rather than a legitimate attempt to redeco the Combaticons.
* Several attributes of Action Master Elite Turbo Master, including his face and chest plate, suggest that he was originally intended to be Bruticus. However, according to Transformers Generations Deluxe, at one point a non-transforming version of Action Master Bruticus was planned, which would have looked significantly different from Turbo Master.
* For every version of the original Bruticus mold, the packaging art depicts the Brawl figure on backwards.
*Earth Wars Bruticus's character model is a (more proportionate) recreation of his Combiner Wars toy.
* Earth Wars Bruticus's Earth Shatter ability is most likely a reference to his Fall of Cybertron counterpart's shockwave ability, given how it affects a large area and do mass amounts of damage. The same could also be said about Shockfire Missiles, during his boss fight in the final few parts of Fall of Cybertron, in which the cannons on his back to deal damage to the player, though in this case you can actually do it while using him.
