I was just wondering if the rest of the page (aside from the basic profile) would work better in the toy sections factoid format. As FFN points out, he's kinda in the wrong colors here. ::It really does, IMO, even though I'm well-conditioned to read that blue-for-black substitution the way it was intended. How about that screencap of him pointing at the ancient symbols? It completely never occurred to me to just repurpose/move one of the existing pics (cause I agree that that entire scene is pretty much quintessential Rewind). The trivia note format is cute, but... I kinda feel like it's undermining the actual info when it comes to the IDW section. Rewind's been a major player for quite a few issues, and we're not really doing him justice right now. Sure, we could expand, but after a while it's gonna get unwieldy. I'd favor having a regular-text expansion after the trivia notes:
:: *Got golden discs from Swindle just before leaving with Rodimus's crew in the Lost Light?
:: It's true! Swindle was a bit surprised to find out that a "nice little Autobot" like Rewind was into such things, but Rewind's interest was not personal. Nor professional.
Image request revisited
Do you think you could do another imagery list? I am looking for a better version of Image:Starscream clone G1.jpg, a screenshot of Trashbin (as the page itself notes, the best image moment would be shortly before the line "you check in, but you don't check out" by Wreck-Gar during the chase scene on Junk), and Dread slaves needs some images. I think a screenshot of when Kup finally frees everybody, aka that time organic prisoners show up, would be good for the Notes section. Possibly when three of the robot prisoners (the ones who get caught by Predaking) try to flee would be good as main image. Think you could get these? Geewunling 04:21, 13 December 2010 (EST)
:I'll take a look. I did look through my screenshots for "Chaos" a while ago for suitable shots of the Dread slaves, but couldn't find any, so I may have to go back to the episode. --abates 04:53, 13 December 2010 (EST)
:Er, regarding Trashbin, I don't see him in that shot. The dude in the middle back is closest, but has a different head and legs to the character model. --abates 05:48, 13 December 2010 (EST)
::Thanks for the uploads so far. With Trashbin, it "is" the dude in the middle. The fact he has a slightly different head and legs in that shot doesn't change what model he is supposed to be anymore than HAZMAT's face/no face difference. Alternatively, the closest possible shot of him attacking Arcee will also do (can't use the moment after she knocks him over, because then the model gets switched for Junkyard's). Does this help? Geewunling 07:11, 13 December 2010 (EST)
:::Ahhh, OK! --abates 14:22, 13 December 2010 (EST)
"Plaise, suh, may I 'aff s'more?"
Many thanks for Trashbin's and the early war dudes' images. Though, could I request some more images for the latter's page? For the gallery, I'd like images of the yellow/blue and green dude when they walk next to each other, the red and the blue chars behind them standing in front of each other, the Whirl-like dude fleeing, the red and blue guys fleeing for Decepticon fire and maybe another image for the grey/red guy fleeing behind them. I'd also like a shot from "The Key to Vector Sigma" featuring at least the green dude for the Notes section. Think you could get these too? Geewunling 18:54, 26 December 2010 (EST)

Bothering you once again. Sorry
If you can find the time, could you get a few articles some more images? I'm looking for an image of Megatron getting a pair of binoculars from his chest for the continuity ntoes section of "The Master Builders" and the images as described for the Satellite Penitentiary inmates and personnel. For the inmates, I like to see the current image replaced by a full panshot one, and I'd prefer Gaihawk to be visible in the drowned inmate-is-still alive shot so it can be added to the episode page's animation error section. Geewunling 05:48, 6 March 2011 (EST)
:I've stuck an image up for the Master Builders! I'll have a look at the Satellite Penitentiary articles this evening, though a pan might be tricky - the NSTC to PAL conversion Madman used means 90% of the frames end up overlapping, but if Shout Factory release Victory in NTSC, that will help. --abates 14:59, 6 March 2011 (EST)
::I had missed that you added the remaining images. Thank you for that. Though at the risk of sounding ungrateful, might I ask why you opted for an 'escape from explosions'-shot rather than another prison-panshot? Did the frames overlap?
::On a not-image related note, the "Teacher" category. It has no description, so I'd like to know how exactly it is bordered. It currently only has "classroom" teachers listed, but aren't characters like Ani Yoketron, Cyb Brakedown and En Landmine teachers too? Geewunling 05:54, 17 April 2011 (EDT)
:::It seemed like a good idea at the time? I couldn't find much to choose from with what's usable in the episode, and the erupting lava shot seemed to have some interesting body forms in. As for the teachers category, I basically added everyone I could think of at the time who was a teacher, so I'm not surprised I missed some people (well, not so much the UT guys, because I haven't seen Energon or Cybertron since they were broadcast) --abates 07:17, 17 April 2011 (EDT)
Hey
I'm just trying to add interesting stuff to this place. I came from the wikia of this, and I'm eager to make this site even better than it.

I just don't see the rhyme or reason at which you delete stuff. I thought the focus here was on comedy, so the reasons you gave for removing some things made no sense. I always tried to think up meaningful content to add when I came across something. I don't just add for the sake of adding, and everything I've added was there before on the wikia site. --Tommy-Vercetti 16:54, 8 November 2010 (EST)
:The focus here isn't just comedy and there's a limit to it. Sometimes, too much details or comedy can get in the way of the article so we have to trim back. --Lonegamer78 17:04, 8 November 2010 (EST)

:We split from the Wikia site two years ago, so it has evolved different rules to us. Some of the things that you added, like the last appearance of Inferno's beast mode, aren't particularly notable in themselves - if we added notes every time a character was seen for the first or last time, the wiki would be covered in them. --abates 17:12, 8 November 2010 (EST)
Regarding the edits Eagc7 made
Apparently you haven't read the Megatron (Movie) article in awhile, because Eagc7 was just trying to help out. Xaaron made this edit almost a year ago, most likely because nobody bothered to fill out that section since 2007. Nobody objected. Eagc7 evidently noticed this and was trying to make the other articles consistent. I know you were only following Detour's lead, but I think you should have investigated why Eagc7 didn't seem to edit Megatron's article, or questioned him. --FFN 03:37, 12 April 2011 (EDT)
:I kinda disagree with Xaaron's original edit because I think listing the voice actor for an adaptation in the section for the comic is a bit awkward. Do we do that anywhere else? --abates 04:11, 12 April 2011 (EDT)
::Not that I know of, but the point was he made that edit, nobody objected at the time, and then somebody else tried to do the same and got insta-reverted. Now, if Xaaron's edit shouldn't have been made in the first place we can change Megatron's article or something, but there will still be big charstubfictions there. --FFN 10:22, 12 April 2011 (EDT)
:::I don't remember seeing Xaaron's edit at the time, so I may not have seen it. Eagc7's edits, however, were removing information. For instance his edit to the Judy Witwicky article removed that her lines were cut from "Beginnings" and instead added "Voice actor: Unknown", which implies something completely different. --abates 16:27, 12 April 2011 (EDT)
You know that nice, sweet girl, Sari Sumdac? Yeah, this isn't that Sari. This Sari Sumdac collects eyes. Years of torture can do that to a girl. She hails from an alternate continuity from the normal Animated universe, where everything is flipped, turned upside down. Autobots are evil. Decepticons are good. Porter C. Powell is a nice guy. You know the deal.
Animated BotCon 2011 Attendee Lithographs
When Isaac Sumdac discovered and touched her protoform in his lab, she absorbed his DNA and attacked him, tearing out his eye. Her violent nature impressed him, and from then on, he raised her in a cage, subjecting her to constant painful experiments and upgrades. After testing the results of AllSpark fragment implantation, her true power was revealed. Now armed with a battle mode, she serves as a slave alongside the Autobots. While she enjoys the destruction and power, she's more of a prankster than truly evil. She hates her "creator" with every fiber of her being, and dreams of the day when she will be free to finish what she started all those years ago. She is often partnered with Bumblebee.
Notes
* Shattered Glass Sari was first revealed in two posts on Derrick J. Wyatt's blog, and first officially shown in a special illustration Wyatt created for inclusion in Transformers Generations 2011 Vol. 1. Seems like while Takara were cool about her having a bare midriff, it didn't fly with Hasbro.
* Belonging to two entirely different, and previously unlinked franchises, Sari and other members of her universe present a... bit of a classification problem.
Masterpiece Megs importation issue
:Interesting. I really couldn't say whether the U.S. importation difficulty is merely percieved or not. They certainly go on about it a lot on tfw2005.com. I suppose we'll just have to wait for a user consensus on that point. Also, I just wanted to let you know I've reverted that edit; no offence but I disagree with you: I really think that the "impossible on paper" comment is an adequately noteworthy point, as the way animated Megs transforms is impossible without shape-morphing, as the kibble factor and detail-approximation on this figure proves (to say nothing of watching the cartoon in slow-mo). I also definitely think it's noteworthy what an INCREDIBLY complex transformation the toy has. Wouldn't you agree it must be the most elaborate transformation in a TF toy to date? I've removed the word "fiddly" (which wasn't actually mine anyway), if that makes any difference.
The Elite Guard confronts Deathsaurus and the Combaticons.

Synopsis
Magnum's team search for Deathsaurus's base, though he turns down their suggestions that they should split up to look. They swiftly encounter Side Burn, who claims to know where the base is, but before he can tell them (or rather, while he's singing a taunt), he's interrupted by someone shooting at him. The team takes cover, and Magnum asks Ricochet if he can see who's in charge of the attackers. Ricochet is in the process of warning them that they're being outflanked when he's shot down by Starscream. Deathsaurus's troops have arrived. As Starscream gives the order to attack, he's interrupted by Flak unleashing a barrage of missiles, and Magnum orders the Autobots to take the fight to the Decepticons.

They make inroads into dispelling the Decepticons, but Deathsaurus himself picks that moment to make an appearance. Magnum rails at the Warlord for messing with the Combaticons' heads, but Deathsaurus claims he did nothing but give them a better offer, and is backed up by the nearby Combaticons who join in the battle. Though Dion is perturbed by Swindle trying to sell him weapons mid-combat, and Landshark is put off by Onslaught fighting him while taunting Thunder Clash.

Meanwhile Outback, Flak and Moonracer watch as Ricochet dies of his injuries. They barely have time to mourn before a furious Lyzack appears, wielding Leozack's sword. Side Burn is momentarily distracted by the sight, and is shot by Blast Off. After Brawl likewise downs Kup and Onslaught slams Landshark to the ground, the Combaticons merge into Bruticus to finish the job...

...only to be immediately blasted down by a newcomer, whom the Elite Guard are surprised to see.
In the early days of Cybertron, groundbreaking and significant news reporting is recognized with the Running Cogs Award for Captivating Journalism. The winning news network gets a sparkling golden trophy. So shiny!
Rook was so excited that he interrupted Cassiopeia's report on the war to show off the trophy to the viewers. Bishop was just annoyed that he hadn't had a chance to hold the trophy yet, because Rook was busy hugging it. Around Cybertron#Around Cybertron #17
Transformers: Prime is a franchise that launched in 2010. Its fiction is part of the Aligned continuity family, based on the same production bible as War for Cybertron. Its design aesthetic is somewhere between the live-action film series and Animated. The writers of the first two live-action movies, Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, are executive producers on the Prime cartoon. Orci described this as a chance to do what he "couldn't do in the movies."

Franchise elements
*A cartoon series
*Comic books
*A toyline
*Online games

Continuity
The cartoon is the principle element of Prime fiction, and the comic is a prequel miniseries that ties into the show smoothly. But broader continuity is more contentious: While Hasbro has consistently described all Prime and War for Cybertron fiction as one single continuity, the various media have been produced by different creative teams and often contradict.

For example, the Prime cartoon features Dark Energon just like War for Cybertron, but with the previously-unseen quality of being able to reanimate corpses. And strangely, Megatron is able to create an army of such creatures by crashing Dark Energon into the dead world of Cybertron, despite the reason for the planet's demise in War for Cybertron being its complete infection with the substance. Also, the aesthetics and characterizations in the games are inspired primarily by Generation 1, while the cartoon takes many cues from the live-action film series. So while the Bumblebee of the games looks and talks like his Generation 1 self, the cartoon version looks like his movie incarnation and speaks in electronic beeps and squawks. An apocryphal short story by the author of Exodus attempts to explain this change, but the retcon occurs before the game events, so the contradiction remains.

When asked about the discrepancies, Hasbro VP of Intellectual Property Development Aaron Archer replied, "reasons for the confusion will be revealed". The show's staff added Dark Energon's nature differed due to the games and show being set in different eras, and added that while they try to keep the large continuity co-ordinated, ultimately such errors are secondary to the freedom of telling the best story.
Thanks for the (fast) image upload for Leftfoot's assistant. If it's not too much to ask, could you perhaps also provide a screencap of "Lightfoot: A Dramatic Encounter" - Gilmer reaching for his crotch in pain. I'd like to see it added to the episode page and the Humanization article. And if you'd have The Headmasters DVDs, the purple rat monster article has been without image for half a year. Geewunling 03:28, 17 October 2010 (EDT)
:Sure! Unfortunately my DVDs of The Headmasters are out on loan to a friend at the moment, so I haven't even been able to get around to adding screenshots to the HM episode articles. I will see what I can do though. --abates 03:44, 17 October 2010 (EDT)

:Done! --abates 02:19, 27 December 2010 (EST)

:Done! --abates 02:19, 27 December 2010 (EST)

[...] Scourge will have always been in his BotCon 2009 body, Hot Rod in his Universe Legends body and so on. As time goes on there will be more subtle, and not so subtle, differences."</ref> It has been depicted in Fun Publications comics and prose stories, the first of which was titled "Wings of Honor".
Overview
Most of the Wings of Honor stories are set in Cybertron's distant past, at the outbreak of the Great War. They establish that there was an Autobot Elite Guard at that time, from whose winged insignia the title is derived. Some action also occurs in a nebulously modern setting, but so far only as a framing device. In one of those instances, Nexus Prime declares that this universe has some sort of importance to him and his quest, though he doesn't know exactly what.

In broad strokes this continuity hews to the universe of the original cartoon, but the series creators have declared that it will diverge in some details. For example, the fact that the young Elite Guardsman Kup is surrounded mostly by characters who never appeared in the cartoon helps avoid problems of relative age... but there are still a few questionable cases.

Timeline
Writer and editor Pete Sinclair has given the following timeline for events in the Wings of Honor continuity:
Wyatt]] designed Cheetor with hexagonal spots to emulate the original Cheetor without looking overly organic, but the finished toy gives his vehicle mode a full-on organic-look cheetah spot pattern. If you look reeeal close, you'll spot the reason for the spots in this comic: when Pipes tumbles from his perch, he splatters black paint all over vehicle-mode Cheetor!
* Ramhorn, Volks and Chase were all designed for inclusion in the Animated cartoon, but didn't make it into any of its numerous crowd scenes. Troop and Sepelak seem to have gone out of their way to include them here in order to give them their only fictional appearances outside of The AllSpark Almanac II.
*Chromia's appearance hybridizes the two distinct designs she was simultaneously given by separate sources, by placing her Generation 1-inspired head (from Almanac II) on a blue Arcee-styled body (from the Japanese Transformers Cards game).
* The Wanted posters back at the station show Wasp and Mudflap, the latter being a new character based on the Cybertron incarnation of the character.
* Animated versions of Jackpot and Hubcap, two of Sepelak's favorite characters, appear in the police station. The duo's Generation 1 counterparts were previously seen together in the Sepelak-and-Troop penned "Gone Too Far", where they were interrogated by Stungun, an Animated version of whom appears to do the same thing here.
Trivia
*The various signs and posters written in Ancient Autobot:
**Pipes and Huffer's sign is for "Motormaster's Stunt Convoy" with the starburst on the poster noting that it is "Live" (a lead-in to the plot of the upcoming 2011 comic)
**The ramp Crumplezone flies off of is marked "Hazard"
**The (upside-down and busted-open) crates are labelled "Fragile"
**The wanted posters just say "Wanted" (duh) and list Wasp and Mudflap's names
**Depth Charge's door nameplate reads "Chief"
**The order Depth Charge shows Cheetor says "Transfer"
:Scrounge is an Autobot from the Generation 1 continuity family.

Scrounge has a special arm. There is no other like it.

He is a lot like Bumblebee—he is relatively small, weak, and over-eager to prove himself to the other Autobots; he's a passable spy thanks to the fact that he has a special arm (there is no other like it) specially designed for surveillance; he is yellow. Unlike Bumblebee, with his eagerness to please and general excitability, he has a habit of imagining any little bit of info he stumbles across into a huge and vital revelation that will change the course of the war.

The Autobots have heard him cry turbofox a few too many times, and so treat any info he uncovers with a good helping of doubt. Even his friend and partner Blaster tends to treat him as a useless, tag-along loser.
Fiction
Marvel Comics continuity
Scrounge, while searching for a clue on the whereabout of the abducted neutral scientist Spanner, infiltrated Darkmount and obtained coded information that was of great value to the Decepticons. He radioed his accomplishment to Blaster and urged to meet with him, but failed to show up himself when Shrapnel captured him in the Dead End. Scrounge was brought before Straxus, who ripped of his special arm because the Autobot refused to disclose what he had discovered. Right after, Straxus decided it didn't matter what Scrounge knew, since he would never be able to tell his comrades. Without another thought, Scrounge was thrown into the smelting pool.

Blaster belatedly came to save his little buddy, who was little more than a melting torso by that point. Scrounge died a heroic death getting the Autobots the info, making them realize that they misjudged him, and leaving Blaster with a whole lot of angst, anger, and guilt to work through by killing as many Decepticons as he was able and generally being a hardass. The Smelting Pool!

Scrounge's death continued to hit Blaster hard as the war progressed, first as a reason to not repeat his loss when the scientist Spanner went missing. The Bridge to Nowhere! Blaster angrily brought up Scrounge's death later on Earth, after G.B. Blackrock questioned Blaster's credentials as an Autobot warrior. Crater Critters

IDW Generation 1 comics continuity
Before the war began, Scrounge could be found scrounging for trash in the deepest, darkest slums of Cybertron. He still has a special arm. How many others are like it is unknown at this point. Megatron Origin issue 2

During the war, Scrounge fell in with the Autobots, but was on the list of warriors to be utilized only as a last resort, presumably because, like Wheelie, he's low on useful skills. (Besides his special arm, of course. There is, after all, no other like it.) Spotlight: Wheelie

He was seen on the Orvus Base space station orbiting over Salvvatan VI, mere seconds before Sixshot ripped through it. Sixshot threw Scrounge through the main viewing monitor, presumably out of jealousy of his special arm. After all, he has six modes but nothing like it! Spotlight: Metroplex

TransTech
When Bulletbike, CEO of RoboCo, found his spark trapped inside a "lowtech" body that was not his own, a poor deluded lowtech named Scrounge was the only other Transformer who offered sympathy. Just like Bulletbike, Scrounge claimed to be someone he was not, by all outward appearances, but unlike Bulletbike, Scrounge was indeed mistaken. Insane though he may have been, he was lucid enough to be of legitimate help, plus he was harmless enough.

Scrounge agreed to help Bulletbike find EconTerm, though at increasing peril. Bulletbike was finding a growing appetite for violence, a troublesome tick that Scrounge was able to narrowly avoid. Ultimately, Scrounge was instrumental in providing support for Bulletbike's crusade to locate the beings who had transplanted his spark into another body, even if it resulted in Bulletbike's death.

In the aftermath, Scrounge was given excellent treatment by Commander Cheetor. The poor thing just needed some proper care. I, Lowtech

Notes
* Scrounge's death haunted Blaster for a long time. He's kind of like Blaster's Gwen Stacy, only with a special arm instead of go-go boots and breasts.

* Scrounge has a special arm (how many times can we mention that?) with two sensored fingers that pick up sound and video. He claims there is no other like it. However, in the Classics story "Games of Deception", Elita One had a similar setup. And in Transformers Animated, Megatron had a setup where he could make his fingers control a headmaster unit. The fingers detached like Scrounge's. Should have registered that patent, Scrounge.

* The Scrounge in "I, Lowtech" who thinks he's actually Emirate Xaaron isn't very good at being Xaaron. He claims he has a Matrix and that he's from universe Primax 093.0 Epsilon. Decoding that technobabble allegedly pegs him as an Emirate Xaaron from Transformers Fan Club fiction published in 1993. Yyyyyeah.

* Bob Budiansky revealed at one of his 2010 panels that Scrounge was partially based upon Gunga Din, but whether he meant the version of the character in the original poem or the 1939 Cary Grant film is uncertain. Either way, a classy lineage!

* According to a Hasbro Briefing Binder for 1985 product, "Scrounge" was originally going to be the name for Scavenger. When that didn't happen, apparently Bob Budiansky found a use for the name elsewhere.

When the Autobots need drones to do the dirty work, they bring in the Scrounges. These silver drones possess a curved, smooth structure due to their "war wheel" alternate mode. They are programmed with slave drives to keep them loyal to their programmer. They would be harmless, save for the large cannons that make up their left arms.

Scrounges are powerful in numbers, and they are easily expendable. Their simple obedient personality makes them perfect whipping boys for Blaster, their current master.

Fiction
Shattered Glass
To keep Blaster out of the way while the Autobots were preparing the Ark for launch, he was given a group of Scrounges to boss around like a drill sergeant. Later when the Ark was engaged in battle with the Nemesis, Blaster suggested sending out the Scrounges. This would have ended in the Scrounges' destruction, but Blaster didn't care, failing to see their usefulness. Goldbug didn't think that was a good idea. Do Over

When Rodimus came up with a plan to hold Earth hostage for ransom by hijacking one of the humans' military bases to gain control of the planet's destructive defense satellites, Blaster thought they could simply send in the Scrounges as their plan of attack. But Rodimus decided to go for a more standard infiltration attempt instead, and ordered Blaster to lead a diversion. Blaster headed up a squad of Autobots and Scrounges to attack the base from the outside, while Rodimus, other Autobots, and their human allies attacked the base from the inside by letting themselves get "arrested".

When the Decepticons made an assault to liberate the base, Blaster's squad of Scrounges attempted to keep Heatwave from reaching the satellite's controller system, but Soundwave pitched in and disabled them with the power of rock. Eye in the Sky

Months later, Side Burn and Wheeljack were busy building a Stellar Spanner under the orders of Goldbug. Wheeljack thought the Plait Expanse might deflect the Spanner dangerously off-course, so Goldbug initially suggested Side Burn as a test subject. Side Burn pointed out he would be needed in case of any repairs, and suggested they use a Scrounge instead. Goldbug relented at Side Burn's logic, though he also complained it would take hours to procure a Scrounge.

Fortunately for the Scrounges, however, an alternate "test subject" eventually presented himself instead... Blitzwing Bop
