A bot of science, Vertebreak is a Decepticon who dared to dream of such things as horrific and unethical body augmentation. In order to achieve that dream, he sought knowledge from other worlds, including disciplines such as the process cyber grafting. Unfortunately, his colleagues on the council did not see nor understand his genius, and had him detained aboard the Alchemor. Fortunately, the ship's crash on planet Earth has afforded the brilliant Vertebreak a chance to realize his plans to build a bigger, better Cybertronian... even if it means taking parts from other 'bots to do it.

On Cybertron, Vertebreak was a member of Crystal City's science council. To his colleagues' horror, he studied and intended to use surgical knowledge from other worlds to perform cyber-grafting experiments, and was imprisoned on the Alchemor before he could put his plans into motion. Fortunately for Vertebreak, the ship's crash landing on Earth freed him from his incarceration. Taking the form of a train, he set up a new laboratory in Crown City's subway network, and began his experiments anew.

Fortune smiled on Vertebreak again when the Autobot Sideswipe blundered into his territory alone. Vertebreak attacked him while the Autobot was busy boasting, before dragging him back to his lair. There, he performed his cyber-grafting technique by attaching his head to Sideswipe's body. While the process gave Vertebreak access to Sideswipe's natural agility and learned fighting techniques, he elected to keep the young Autobot's head intact in order to have continued access to a needed "brain enzyme" in the event his grafting process didn't take. Vertebreak attacked Sideswipe's companions in short order, but, in the end, he was defeated when Sideswipe realized he could predict each of Vertebreak's movements. He was subsequently recaptured and both his and Sideswipe's heads were restored to their proper bodies. Some Body, Any Body
*Godzilla had his own Marvel Comics series in which he was hunted down by Dum Dum.
*Given Spoon's statements about movies, it might be the case that, in-universe, the Japanese made a movie about Godzilla's real-life monster rampages—after all the Marvel continuity contains both superheroes and superhero comics—but drawing firm relationships between the Marvelverse, the main US continuity and the Earthforce continuity is problematic at best. Earth-120185, anyone?
* Super-God Masterforce head writer Masumi Kaneda has stated that God Ginrai (ゴッドジンライ) was named so that omitting every other Japanese syllable yields the word Gojira (ゴジラ), the original Japanese name for Godzilla.
* There is another Japanese monster movie, Hojoni, as shown in "Kremzeek!"
* Around the time Jolt was seen reading a Godzilla comic, IDW Publishing began putting out their own Godzilla series. Coincidence, or product placement?
* Grimlock's alternate form in Robots in Disguise is likely a reference to Godzilla, with the shape of his head, claws, and overall size, he also bears a striking resemblance to the 2014 movie version of Godzilla. This almost maternal side of her personality is balanced out by the way she viciously crushes her enemies and leaves their circuits burning with her mech-venom. The Decepticons find her fairly easy to manipulate provided they frame their commands in a way that makes them seem the best course for Predacon kind.
Heading into a desert, she encountered one of her first targets: Bulkhead. ===Full of Fire!===
Ripclaw joined five other Predacons in an attack on the Autobots. Unfortunately the Autobots had just built themselves new weapons, which proved to be more than effective against the Predacons.
: Part of the second wave of Prime: Beast Hunters Deluxe Class toys, Ripclaw transforms into a winged dragon with an opening jaw. Her tail is a series of plastic segments housed around a long rubbery cord, and can either hang loose or be latched tightly to the torso. She comes with the "Siphon Claw", a clawed stinger that snaps its spring-loaded claws shut when the stinger is depressed. It pegs via 5mm post into her hands and onto the tip of her tail.

:Part of her transformation includes bending a hinge in her spine (bent for beast, nearly straight for robot). This happens in step 4 of beast-to-robot, or step 7 of robot-to-beast, but the instructions do not highlight this move (i.e., the parts involved are not orange), so it's easy to miss. Her instructions also include the eighth chapter of the Tales of the Beast Hunters series.

: This mold was also redecoed and retooled into Go! Bakudora. It was also the model for the comic-only character, Ser-Ket.
Notes
*According to the Hasbro Beast Hunters marketing booklet, she was Predacon experiment #SW13334.
* Ripclaw was the last Transformers toy Bill Rawley designed before moving to the Star Wars team. She was intended as a stealth homage to the also-female Renegade Monster GoBot Vamp; however, the "stealth" aspect was somewhat derailed by other members of the Transformers team acknowledging the source of her inspiration at 2013.
*The third Predacon clone seen being grown in Shockwave's lab heavily in "Predacons Rising" resembles Ripclaw, albeit with a few minor changes.
*Ripclaw's on-package bio was recycled for the Bot Shots character Buzzclaw, just with the names changed out.
*Her claw like tail gives her an unusual resemblance to the Pacific Rim Kaiju, Otachi (perhaps intentionally), while unintentionally, it also resembles the Willosaurus from the tech demo of the 2008 game Spore (Which is definitely a coincidence)

Construct-Bots is a line of Transformers-themed building toys with interchangeable parts, somewhat similar to Kre-O. In contrast to Kre-O's brick-based kits, however, Construct-Bots are action figures with a wider range of articulation that can be changed between modes without being disassembled. Elite and higher price-point sets come packaged in a translucent plastic storage tray that highlights key pieces in the set.

Construct-Bots were announced in early 2013 in advance of Toy Fair, and began hitting store shelves later that year. They had a substantial presence at 2013, featuring prominently in the Hasbro presentation with much of the line on display, both in stock and custom configurations.

In 2014, the design of the figures was changed markedly; All joints on the figures are now ball-jointed, and their torso superstructure combined the waist and torso and added a spring loaded "spine" part. Figures no longer reuse parts from other models and are more or less totally unique. Most 2014 parts are not compatible with parts from 2013 figures. All Beast Hunters (barring Predaking) and Age of Extinction Construct-Bots use the newer design.

Construct-Bots packaging features the pseudo-motto "Construct Convert Customize", highlighting the key features of the line.
*Construct - Construct-Bots toys are built by attaching body parts, armor pieces, accessories, weapons, joint pieces, and even faction symbols to a modular skeleton. The sets are assembled using three types of joints: rubberized ball joints, 5mm pegs and sockets, and ratcheting clips.
*Convert - Construct-Bots can be transformed from robot mode to an alternative (e.g., vehicle, animal, etc.) mode. Unlike brick-built Kre-O robots, Construct-bots can be transformed with minimal, if any, reassembly. This reassembly is generally limited to repositioning accessories and weapons using the ratcheting clips or 5mm pegs. Transformations are generally comparable to those of the inner robots of Pretender toys with various hinged body panels being rearranged to enhance the alternative mode.
*Customize - A multitude of extra 5 mm pegs, sockets, and bars for the ratcheting clips are provided by the modular skeleton and the various other parts. A single Construct-Bots set can be customized by rearranging the skeleton or rearranging armor parts and accessories (such as by moving wing pieces from the arms to the legs). A Construct-Bots set may be further customized by including or substituting pieces from other sets.

It is not clear yet what, if any, continuity they fit into. Several characters resemble their Generation 1 namesakes; others take their cues from Transformers: Prime and Age of Extinction
Notes
*At Toy Fair 2013, a Hasbro representative referred to the line by the name "Construct-A-Bots", arguing that the faction insignias represented an "A". Various online retailers, as well as the online divisions of major brick-and-mortar retailers such as Walmart and Target, used that name. The "A" is also present on the shipping cases delivered to such retailers. On the other hand, Hasbro's official press releases, placards at 2013 and San Diego Comic-Con 2013, listings on the official Hasbro website and file names of official promotional stock photos sent to fan sites consistently lacked the "A", instead referring to the line simply as "Construct-Bots". Online retailer Entertainment Earth always used that name, whereas BigBadToyStore switched from an initial "Construct-A-Bots" to "Construct Bots" (lacking the hyphen). Listings on the Toys"R"Us website are still a mixed bag as of this writing, with international divisions using the "A" variant on their websites consistently.
* The Construct-Bots ball and socket joint is the same size as those used in the brick-built Kre-O sets, allowing for even crazier creations.
* Many of the 5mm posts are hollow and compatible with Mini-Con Powerlinx ports, allowing for even MORE crazier creations.
* The toy line essentially has no story, and as such, sadly, does not take place in a time before time, on the mythical island of Mata Nui
Strong and deadly in tooth and claw, gifted with terrifying speed as well as the ability to handle raw energon, Cruellock is a formidable fighter, destined to be feared by Transformer and human citizen of Tokyo alike. Singularly or in vast squadrons of identical units, this robotic raptorbot is a vital tool of war to his Decepticon masters, a mindless menace to his Autobot foes. Strangely and tragically, this seemingly mindless drone is, at its spark, a thinking creature of considerable intelligence... but the only effect this seems to have is to make him more deadly in combat.

The Cruellock drones were grown in steel eggs by Alpha Q, formulated from a type of "Dinobot" long thought extinct. Once they were finished, the Cruellocks were first sent against both Autobot and Decepticon alike on a frigid, ice-covered world to harvest the energon. Despite some initial shock, however, both groups defeated and escaped the horde. The Return of Demolishor

Later, several Cruellocks were released on Ironhide in a test of strength engineered by Alpha Q and Scorponok, so that the young Autobot could prove his worth to them. The Cruellocks showed themselves capable of transformation for the first time during this battle, crossing their tail blades with Ironhide's Energon Saber. Ironhide eventually defeated them when one ripped the energon star from his arm, and Ironhide blasted the energon, causing a massive explosion. A Tale of Two Heros

Scorponok brought a pair of Cruellocks with him inside Unicron during the attack on Megatron's forces. Open Fire!

Cruellocks fell into disuse for a time, but Scorponok brought them back during an open assault on Cybertron after Unicron's destruction. The Cruellock drones destroyed a space port, trapping the Jones family on Cybertron under siege. Ambition They were attacked by the Autobots when Prime's crew attempted to retake Cybertron from the Decepticons. Wishes

Cruellocks patrolled the depths of Cybertron for Galvatron, hunting for the Jones family. Galvatron! When Rad White and Dr. Jones attempted to access Primus's chamber via elevator, a Cruellock spotted them and chased the humans into the elevator shaft. Break Through

While blasting their way through the train stations on the way to Central City, Kicker and the Autobots shot up a number of Cruellock and Insecticon drones. Several Cruellocks also lay siege to the medical facility where Bulkhead and other Autobots were recuperating. Decepticon Army

Energon comic
Cruellock was a member of the Terrorcons, a group of former Decepticons led by Scorponok, who, unhappy with the Autobot-Decepticon alliance, struck a deal with Alpha Quintesson to raid Earth for its Energon reserves in order to restore Unicron. When Scorponok blasted Starscream into an ore-grinder in Cyber City’s eastern energon processing plant, Cruellock threw the switch that activated the machinery, crushing Starscream’s body, much to Cruellock’s delight. This Evil Reborn

Granted an energon-powered Hyper Mode by Unicron, Cruellock and the other Terrorcons went to Earth to extract the energon buried in the wilds of Australia. However, thanks to the intervention of the Omnicons and Kicker Jones, their Energon siphons were destroyed, and Alpha Quintesson forcibly pulled the Terrorcons from Earth. What Lies Beneath
Though Cruellock himself is not seen again, countless drones based on his beast mode design were sent to raze Tokyo as part of a worldwide assault on Earth coordinated by Alpha Quintesson. The Autobot forces deployed to counter the invasions were not enough to stop the hordes, and only the intervention of the newly revived and hyper-powered Megatron was able to turn the tide and send the Terrorcons back to Unicron. Multiplicity
Grimlock is a Dinobot with a rather rough n' tough attitude. One of the most powerful warriors alive, his general approach to a problem is to smash it first, worry about the specifics later. This attitudes extends to his Autobot companions, who are expected to meet Grimlock's standard of strength. That said, the Autobots have a lot less to fear from this behemoth than the Decepticons.

Fiction
How to Ride your Dinobot cartoon
Grimlock found himself being the guinea pig for Optimus' Dinobot-riding lessons. To his irritation, Optimus rudely beckoned him to move forward, and was thus thrown into a barn. Optimus' mood did not improve much, but Grimlock's did, as it was now time for him to ride Optimus. The Autobot leader proved a much more compliant steed, to Grimlock's joy. How to Ride Your Dinobot Chapter 2: How to Ride

Grimlock was a prisoner aboard Lockdown's ship until the Autobots detached that section and flew it to China, though Optimus did not inform his troops of their presence. When Galvatron's new Decepticons shot down their ship, Optimus went to recruit the Dinobots for their aid. Optimus was nevertheless amazed that the "legend" existed, and freed Grimlock and his men. Optimus explained to Grimlock that the Creators intended to wipe them all out, and urged them to stand with him, or refuse and die. Grimlock immediately challenged Optimus, but despite his immense size and strength, was bested in combat. Grimlock submitted to Optimus' lead, and allowed the Autobot leader to mount him. Grimlock and Optimus led the Dinobot-Autobot charge into Hong Kong, where Grimlock killed many Decepticons with ease.

Grimlock later helped escort the Seed to a safe location, but Lockdown arrived and turned his tractor beam on them. Grimlock and the Dinobots would've been captured once again had Optimus not destroyed the tractor beam with a well-placed shot. Optimus ordered Grimlock and the others to flee while he fought Lockdown. The group subsequently held the line on a nearby bridge until Optimus, Bumblebee, and their human allies triumphed and killed Lockdown. Optimus granted Grimlock and the Dinobots their freedom, and Grimlock happily departed with his team for parts unknown.
Synopsis
Ultra Magnus sees a giant dragon plunging through the sky toward him. Without hesitation, he knows he has to defeat this monster before it can cause any havoc. Transforming into robot mode and leaping into the air, he strikes the creature a colossal blow with the Forge of Solus Prime...which does Grimwing almost no damage, fazing him only momentarily. Enraged at Magnus for demonstrating himself nothing more than a primitive thug, the Predacon wastes no time in disarming and crippling his opponent, leaving him behind with a warning ringing in his audio sensors.

Quotes
"Be warned. This world is in grave danger from my fellow Predacons. I will restrain them. You and your fellows stay out of my way or be destroyed."

Notes
*Magnus comes off pretty badly here to the reader, since we know (from last chapter) that Grimwing had no intention of attacking him.
*Blackbeak was here last chapter, and is presumably present now, but isn't explicitly mentioned.
*Grimwing is referred to as a dragon here, but is called an ursgryph on his toy. Possibly dragon is a general term for any reptilian monster in this continuity, however.
A Decepticon guardian sent to protect Earth's energon stocks, he is completely loyal to Megatron. He will not only obey every order, he will follow them until Megatron says otherwise, regardless of the passage of time. He also possesses a rather short temper and is not beyond backhanding anyone who frustrates him.

Millennia ago, during the great war, Megatron tasked Skyquake with assassinating Optimus Prime at the Battle of Technar but Skyquake failed to carry out his mission. He was later one of a number of Decepticon guardians sent to Earth by Megatron when the planet was seeded with Energon.

In the modern era, he was sought out by Starscream, who needed a strong presence to inspire his troops into believing his reign would be a successful one. However, Skyquake was less amiable to the idea, firmly announcing both his loyalty to Megatron and his lack of faith in Starscream's claims of Megatron's death. Before the pair came to blows, Optimus and Bumblebee appeared on the scene. Skyquake reminded Prime of their encounter during the Battle of Technar, but Optimus still offered both Decepticons a chance at peace. Starscream showed some interest, as long as Optimus bowed to him, causing a frustrated Skyquake to belt him aside and attack Prime. Bumblebee threw himself into the fray but proved more of a distraction than anything else. He did manage to buy Optimus the time to realise Skyquake still lacked a vehicle mode. Using the canyon they were battling in to their advantage, the Autobots managed to corner Skyquake. Unfortunately, Agent Fowler appeared in a high-tech military jet, which Skyquake immediately scanned.

Skyquake quickly dominated the battle until Bumblebee threw himself on the jet and, as Skyquake tried to shake him off, ripped out his internals. Bumblebee jumped onto Fowler's plane as a heavily-injured Skyquake crashed into the ground. After Skyquake closed his optics for possibly one last time, Prime sadly noted how things might have been different, before burying the Decepticon. Masters & Students
*Chromebite (Micron Booster, 2007)
**Booster ID number: 11

: Chromebite is a chromed redeco of the Classics Mini-Con Terrorsaur, transforming into a robotic Tyrannosaurus rex. He was only available in the fifth "Micron Booster" assortment in Japan, where each figure came in its own blind-packed, individual box. Chromebite was one of two "chase" figures in the set; each case of twelve Mini-Cons contained one of either Chromebite or Detectus, but never both.

: This mold was also used to make Gnashteeth and Universe Ransack.

::*More information on Chromebite at TFU.info

Notes
* Chromebite's name did not appear on any promotional materials for this assortment, where he was simply called "Gnashteeth Chromed Version". However, the actual packaging for the toys supplies his name, establishing him as a separate character.

* Chromebite's dark purple chrome and metallic bronze coloration is a likely homage to Beast Wars Megatron's Transmetal T. rex body.

* No he is not a shiny Barney

This is the page for the TFWiki.net Transformers Hall of Fame Auditions entries. The rules are as follows:

#You must pick your top five Transformers characters, from any era. They must actually be Transformers; sorry, but no humans, non-Transformer aliens, non-Transformer robots, or anything else of the sort are being considered for the Hall of Fame. Any votes for such entities will not be tabulated. It is the sole discretion of the contest organizers to decide what does and does not count.
#Take your top five list and put it in alphabetical order. Order of preference does not matter. Feel free to denote the character's franchise of origin, although these distinctions may not figure into the final results.
#You cannot pick a specific version of Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Megatron, Starscream, Dinobot, Ironhide, Ratchet, or Soundwave. They've already been inducted or soon will be!
#Only one entry per user.

Please put your characters of choice and user name below in the following manner:
