My question is this: How the heck is that a stretch? It notes what was clearly the writer's intention in casting the episode and explains the choice of a character who would seemingly be the odd man out.

I don't do a lot of editing on here, and I genuinely try to do so only when I feel I'm adding something or improving something in accordance with the standards as I understand them, but I've had several edits reverted recently that I had put a good amount of thought into, and the justifications for those reversions have been uniformly unsatisfying and very poorly explained. {{unsigned|Tjfosko}}

And unless you have an interview with the writer saying as much, you can't say it was clearly their intention; it was more likely as simple as them being told "here's the toy(s) we want to promote this week, write a story about them". This just feels like adding a note for the sake of adding a note on an overly crowded page. (I personally think a lot of the existing notes don't serve to add much either, so it's not just a you thing.) ::So, you don't think the writer of the episode picked specifically four glory-hounds to crash a movie studio hoping for stardom, but that he instead got a note saying, "We want you to sell Hoist, Tracks, Sunstreaker, Powerglide, and Warpath this week"? Look at Earl Kress's episode credits. "The Immobilizer" is practically the only episode dealing with Ironhide's age (besides a few minor asides) and actually features a rare instance of Trailbreaker being a jokester. "B.O.T.," for all its flaws, plays up Swindle better than any other episode. "Desertion of the Dinobots" doesn't have the same degree of focus, but the episodes he wrote tend to be very strong in their depictions of characters. Even if your scenario of "promote these toys this week" is accurate (which I don't think it is, as the production materials that I've seen make it seem like Hasbro gave broad strokes with the exception of a few instances of "don't use this guy because we aren't releasing him" (Reflector) or "shove this in somewhere because it's a new toy" (Protectobots)), that only makes the cast more noteworthy, as it's an incredibly convenient accident. It seems way, way more likely that the writers, with the exception of the more mercenary jobs like "The Search for Vector Sigma," were given a box of toys and told, "these are your available characters, choose as you wish."

:It's not really meant to be explicitly based on any of the films, so it's largely unnecessary to note any differences. And as I said before, there's no reason for us to document what happens when the ride breaks because it's not standard procedure, and not everyone is going to have the same experience during a malfunction, so it's impossible to log every possible result. However, no one knows what happened to Whirl since he never appeared, and that makes his survival ambiguous. The current note is also confusing as written because it implies Whirl appears in Time Wars, but he doesn't. Hey, not sure if you are the right person to ask, but over a year ago, I don’t quite recall when, I was (rightfully) banned from the Discord server for my immature and attention seeking behaviour, truthfully I am glad I was banned sooner than later since at that time I probably would’ve gotten myself banned for something much worst,

There was another sentence that said Nick Studios is producing, so I wanted to merge the two and make it say that it is being co-produced and developed by them. But the caption still doesn’t make sense to me, since it isn’t for Nick alone anymore and the Nick who is a character designer isn’t really the person who the show is "by." I’ve recently added information about g1 Puffer. Unfortunately you deleted my entry, because I had no source. Unfortunately the website where Puffer was first mentioned, does not exist anymore (since it has been more than 20 years ago). So that pretty much rules out any proof I have of my text.
I know for a fact that what I’ve posted, really happened. But I don’t have any proof of that. Is there any way that you do add the information? Just until someone can proof something else (which they can’t because I know what legitimately happened :-))

Jetfire was one of the Seekers dispatched by The Fallen to locate the [[Matrix of Leadership]] after the [[Dynasty of Primes]] hid it on Earth. However, Jetfire and the other Seekers were unable to locate the [[Tomb of the Primes|Tomb]] that the Primes had forged. The only clue they could find was a riddle: "When dawn alights the Dagger's tip, Three Kings will reveal the Doorway". Eventually, the Fallen abandoned the Seekers and they were forced to go into stasis lock out of a lack of energon.

For many years, a dormant Jetfire had hidden in his alternate mode at the [[Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum]]'s {{w|Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center}}, until [[Seymour Simmons]], [[Sam Witwicky]], [[Mikaela Banes]], [[Leo Spitz]] and [[Wheelie (ROTF)|Wheelie]] broke in with a small fragment of the [[AllSpark]]. It was only after the AllSpark shard hit Jetfire that they bothered to check which side he was on. The sight of the Decepticon [[insignia]] sent the humans scrambling for cover, but the surge of energy awoke him. Confused at the "hideous mausoleum" he was held in, Jetfire decided to head outside to get a better handle on where he was. After his attempts at overriding and shooting the doors failed, Jetfire smashed them aside, then wandered about the planes outside, damaging a few. When the humans tried to talk to him, he initially claimed that he couldn't deal with them, as he had a mission, but did ask what planet he was (he wasn't too fond of the name "Earth", feeling it might as well be called "Dirt"). Jetfire inquired on the state of the civil war, and revealed that he had defected to the Autobots (it's an intensely personal decision). This led the smaller Wheelie to defect to a [[Mikaela Banes|human female]] he dubbed "warrior goddess". After the human Sam asked what he was saying, Jetfire, still confused, pounded the ground and shouted that he had a lot of issues regarding his mother, and that his father was the first wheel, who did not transform but performed his functions with honor and dignity. At which point a parachute stored in him suddenly popped open, bringing him down. Sam then tried to explain what was going on.

When Sam was finished carving [[Cyberglyphics|Cybertronian symbols]] on the ground, he mentioned Megatron and [[The Fallen]]. Jetfire ranted that The Fallen was the original Decepticon and had left him on Earth to rust. The symbols were a part of Jetfire's mission, and they jogged his memory banks enough to convince him to open a [[space bridge]], teleporting the entire group (including [[Bumblebee (Movie)|Bumblebee]], [[Skids (ROTF)|the]] [[Mudflap (ROTF)|twins]], and Wheelie) to [[Egypt]]. Thankful that he had managed to stay on the planet, Jetfire then told them the story of the Dynasty of Primes and The Fallen, Cybertron's first contact with Earth, the [[Star Harvester]] which could destroy a [[Sun]] and convert it to energon, and the Matrix of Leadership needed to activate it, hidden on Earth. He revealed that only a [[Prime (rank)|Prime]] could defeat The Fallen, but he believed that none were left. Sam told him of [[Optimus Prime (Movie)|Optimus Prime]]; this caught the ancient Seeker's interest, revealing eagerness in the Prime's whereabouts, but became distraught to hear of Prime's death. During the final [[Operation: Firestorm|battle]] around the [[Great Pyramid of Giza]] (which contained the Star Harvester), Jetfire arrived and attempted to "stick" the landing, which didn't go quite as he planned. He immediately decided to "show how they brought the pain in my day", using his axe to slice [[Mixmaster (ROTF)|Mixmaster]] across the chest and decapitate the [[Constructicon (ROTF)|Constructicon]]. He was critically wounded by a surprise attack from [[Scorponok (Movie)|Scorponok]] and although he managed to crush the Decepticon's head, the injury was fatal. Fortunately, Jetfire was treated to one last wonder, as Sam Witwicky used the Matrix to resurrect Optimus. Jetfire was overjoyed of the moment, hardly believing that he was seeing a living [[Prime (rank)|Prime]]. Unfortunately, The Fallen teleported in and attacked, damaging Optimus and stealing the Matrix, placing it in the harvester. As he lay dying, Jetfire, who felt that during his entire life he'd never done a thing worth doing, offered his parts to Optimus Prime, saying that they would give him "a power like you've never known". Telling Optimus to fulfill his destiny, Jetfire ripped out his own spark and died.

Jetfire's sacrifice was not in vain: within moments of his death, [[Ratchet (Movie)|Ratchet]] instructed [[Jolt (ROTF)|Jolt]] to begin a full transplant of the rocket thrusters and weapons systems onto Optimus. Now equipped with Jetfire's powerful weapons and engines, Optimus broke through a blockade of debris The Fallen had telekinetically erected around the Pyramid and destroyed the Star Harvester before it could be used against the Earth's Sun. Prime then faced the Fallen and Megatron, using his afterburners to send Megatron flying through some ruins. In the distant past, the [[AllSpark]] Cube created [[Thirteen|a race]] of powerful, trans-dimensional beings as the first inhabitants of [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]]. The Cube gave these beings mighty powers, as well as terraforming their world, but it was not limitless, and gradually became depleted. The first beings learned that the AllSpark's power could be replenished by harvesting the energy of stars, but they were unable to locate new stars to suit their purposes, despite their amazing ability to travel between dimensions. Once again, the Cube came to the rescue, creating a race of workers who had the ability to change their shape.

Jetfire was among the very first of these new beings, a "[[Seeker (ROTF)|Seeker]]" with the ability to travel across the vastness of space in search of new suns. Once located, he would lead others and his masters back to it so a [[Star Harvester|harvester]] could be constructed to drain the energy of these stars, thus replenishing the AllSpark. {{Storylink|Defiance issue 4|Defiance #4}}

Jetfire served directly under the [[Prime (rank)|Prime]] who would become [[The Fallen]], finding for him various stars to harvest, believing he was serving the [[Dynasty of Primes]] as a whole, rather than The Fallen's machinations in specific. Over time, The Fallen began to open up to Jetfire, his most loyal and capable Seeker, and told him that the Dynasty no longer served Cybertron's best interests. Jetfire had unwittingly sacrificed a populated star system under The Fallen's misdirection, and became confused.

Still, Jetfire continued to work with The Fallen, despite his doubts. His master and a small army of [[Constructicon (ROTF)|Constructicon]] drones had fashioned a new, secret faction called the Decepticons with the intention of eventually subverting the Dynasty. Jetfire followed them to a desert on [[Earth|a small blue planet]] to build another star harvester when [[human|primitive]] life made itself known. The Dynasty arrived soon thereafter to put an end to The Fallen's betrayal. Jetfire realized too late that he was on the wrong side, and so The Fallen warped Jetfire and the other "underlings" ''into orbit'' so that the Primes could face each other alone. As they fell planetward, Jetfire fought the Constructicons, and was eventually victorious, but with a price. After he awoke, Jetfire began wandering the Earth {{storylink|Tales of the Fallen issue 3|Tales of the Fallen #3}} periodically adopting new alternate modes to remain hidden. In [[1898]], while disguised as a portion of the [[United States Navy]] vessel the [[USS Maine|USS]] ''[[USS Maine|Maine]]'', Jetfire sensed energy similar to the Fallen's, and broke away from the wooden housing that formed the rest of his alternate mode (inadvertently leading his human crew to believe they had been attacked, thereby initiating the Spanish-American War) that he might settle the score. Tracking the signal to the Arctic, he instead found a near-comatose robot bearing the Decepticon mark instead. Upon discovering that he was ''not'' The Fallen, but someone Jetfire had never heard of named [[Megatron (Movie)|Megatron]], the Seeker just punched him and turned to leave. At this point, Jetfire realized he had an audience: a [[First Seven|group of humans]] who had been studying Megatron, and who reacted to Jetfire's presence by shooting at him. Jetfire promptly seized [[Billy North|his attacker]] and hurled him to his death, while the other humans used explosives to crack the ice sheets and send Jetfire plummeting into the frigid depths. {{storylink|Original}}

At the bottom of the ocean, Jetfire discovered a subterranean cave network in which he took refuge. Sensing a familiar energy source somewhere on the planet, the Seeker began to seek... but he was growing progressively low on power, and it took him fifteen years of crawling about underground before he could track the signal to its source. Along the way, he was confronted by [[Cave brute|strange, inhuman beasts]] that inhabited the caves, and slew all those that dared attack him. Finally, in [[1913]], addled and sluggish from lack of energy, he found the source of the signal: the AllSpark itself, which was in the process of being excavated by the same humans he had met in the Arctic! Fending off another attack on his person, Jetfire reached for the cube, inadvertently triggering a discharge of [[Energon]] from it that brought [[AllSpark Mutation|several surrounding machines to life]], and overloaded his systems. To expend the excess energy, Jetfire promptly teleported via [[space bridge]] to parts unknown. {{storylink|Irreplaceable}}

Jetfire next surfaced in [[1944]], in the form of a Lockheed P-38 Lightning, when he was captured by [[Nazi]] scientists during [[World War II]] and imprisoned in a cryo-chamber in [[Castle Neuschwanstein]]. The Nazis studied his body and mind, reverse-engineering transforming tank-mecha from his systems and prising a map of the cave system from his memory. When [[Sector Seven]]—the government organization which had grown out of that original group of humans Jetfire had fought in the Arctic—got wind of the new Nazi technology, they dispatched a unit led by [[Bill Simmons|William Simmons]] to find and destroy Jetfire. Simmons was the only survivor of the team, and made it into Castle Neuschwanstein before being confronted by the Nazis' ultimate creation, the [[Panzer-Giganten]], which he tried to destroy by throwing a satchel of explosives at it. The explosives instead struck Jetfire's chamber, freeing the Seeker from his confinement, and he proceeded to stop the Panzer-Giganten by tearing out of its human components. Demanding to know how humans could do something so hideous to their own kind, Jetfire was told by Simmons that it was not his doing, and that he believed his bomb would have killed them all, prompting Jetfire to inquire why he valued his life so little. Simmons retorted that he did value his life, but valued freedom more, something that gave Jetfire pause, reminding him of his reasons for turning on The Fallen millennia before. Seeing a kinship in Simmons and in humanity that he had not felt before, he silently destroyed the castle and everyone in it, then flew Simmons to an Allied outpost before disappearing once more. {{storylink|Weapon (issue)|Weapon}}

Jetfire's experience with Simmons deeply affected him, and he evidently shadowed the man and his organization over the following five years, taking the form of a Lockheed U-2 spy plane. In [[1954]], he was present when sabotage at Sector Seven's Arctic base left Simmons and a small crew trapped with a rapidly-thawing Megatron. [[Walter Simmons]] called for liquid nitrogen bombs to be dropped on the complex, at which point Jetfire swooped to intervene, transforming and shielding the younger Simmons' wife [[Tova Anael Fischer|Anne]] and [[Philip Nolan]] from the freezing blast. When Jetfire sadly informed Walter that he had been unable to save William, Walter could only ask why he had done anything at all. Jetfire explained that William's nobility had driven him to atone for past sins: before departing, Jetfire told him that he was no longer the creature Walter had met in those caves half a century before... and Walter did not have to be either. {{storylink|Frozen}} Over the next few years, Jetfire decided to defect to the Autobots, wanting to put his former Decepticon life behind him.

By [[1964]], Jetfire adopted the vehicle mode of a {{w|Lockheed A-12}} owned by [[Sector Seven]] agent [[Heath Donovan]]. Remaining in vehicle mode, Jetfire delivered [[Bumblebee (Movie)|Bumblebee]] and [[P.R.O.G.R.A.M.M.E.]] agents [[David Reeve]] and [[Diana Lux]] to a castle used by modern Decepticons as a secret base. The battle went in the Autobots' favor, but Megatron was able to stab Jetfire through the back, mortally wounding him. Bumblebee thought he was an enemy, but Jetfire explained to Bumblebee that he defected to the [[Autobot]]s at one point in the war and about the Fallen's plans. Later he showed Bumblebee some escape pods, and they witnessed the battle with [[Optimus Prime (Movie)|Optimus Prime]] and [[Megatron (Movie)|Megatron]]. Jetfire put Prime in one of the escape pods, and he left to spy on Megatron and Starscream.

After the two Decepticons got an artifact, Jetfire chased after them but Megatron shot at him. Jetfire followed them by tracking Energon radiation. Meanwhile, Starscream found Optimus and attempted to kill him, but Jetfire took the shot that was meant for Optimus. :Unlike the original Leader-class toy, Jetfire [[Partformer|splits into separate components]] to combine with Optimus, just like in the movie! Five of these components form the boots, shoulder pads, and wings for Jetwing Optimus Prime, while Jetfire's upper body forms a big freakin' gun! Two gunmetal pieces used to form the barrel of this cannon are stored on the underside of the wings and plug into the slots where the front of the jet is disconnected from. However, as this gun is roughly a third of Jetfire's mass, it is too heavy for Prime to lift up unassisted. Fortunately, there is a 3 mm port under Jetfire's head, allowing a figure stand (not included) to support the weight of the gun. While the Hasbro release's instructions do not tell you how to form the gun, the [http://web.archive.org/web/20201112010824/https://tf.takaratomy.co.jp/wpadmin/wp-content/themes/tf/img/products/tf_ss/item_tf_ss-26_manual.pdf TakaraTomy instructions] show how. Damus bargained with Skids to fix it, telling him it was a "teleport chamber" and fifty prisoners would be released from Grindcore for this, and was able to con Skids into thinking that he could be trusted. At Nickel's insistence, they returned to Ofsted XVII to salvage the quantum engines from the derelict ''Lost Light''. They wound up arriving in the middle of a battle between the Consortia and the [[Galactic Council]], who teamed up against the Cybertronians. The diminished D.J.D. returned to their duties, though Tarn began to weary of the work. After apprehending the [[Sparkeater (creature)|Sparkeater]]-worshipping [[Blip]], Tarn was about to end his life using his voice, until Blip used his last words to demand that Tarn remove his mask. Affronted, Tarn allowed [[Helex (G1)|Helex]] and [[Tesarus (G1)|Tesarus]] to finish Blip instead, averting his gaze beneath his mask. Tarn subsequently ordered performance reviews for the team, and nearly came to blows with Tesarus when he implied that abandoning Vos and Kaon was not the Decepticon thing to do. Calming himself, Tarn explained that they were returning to Ofsted XVII again in order to recover their bodies, but was interrupted by Helex's announcement that Vos and Kaon had returned to the ship safe, sound, and with something unbelievable: a postwar edition of ''[[Towards Peace]]'' that revealed Megatron himself had defected from the Decepticons.

His world shattered by this discovery, Tarn had the D.J.D. return to Messatine, where he attempted to fatally overdose on Nuke. Finding even the sensation of dying disappointing, Tarn opened his eyes to see a distraught Nickel pressed against the glass of his fueling capsule. The sight of her triggered a revelation for Tarn: she was a 'bot who had experienced first-hand the threat the predominantly-organic universe posed to Cybertronians, and who had fully embraced the Decepticon cause despite living her life outside of the war. The cause, Tarn now realized, was bigger than any one 'bot—bigger than Megatron. Galvanized, Tarn set up a meeting with the rogue Decepticon warlord [[Deathsaurus (G1)|Deathsaurus]] aboard his stolen [[Warworld]]. Knowing full well he was on the D.J.D.'s list, Deathsaurus pre-emptively attacked Tarn upon his arrival, even deactivating his audio receptors to protect himself from Tarn's voice, but Tarn was able to communicate with him and his troops through [[inter-Decepticon radio]] and explained the reason for his presence: he wished them to ally with him, in return for their being taken off The List. Deathsaurus agreed on the condition that Tarn kill the rest of the D.J.D., which Tarn refused to do—which was the response Deathsaurus had been hoping for. Returning to the ''[[Peaceful Tyranny]]'', Tarn spent the time showing off his collection of Megatron's writings to Deathsaurus, and discussing tactics with his men; he did not take Tesarus' concerns about the Necrobot's fortress' storm shield seriously, but the discussion was interrupted by a call on Tarn's personal communicator from Megatron himself. {{storylink|The Dying of the Light Part 2: The Sun in Flight|The Sun in Flight}}

Tarn agreed to a meeting with Megatron alone, whereupon his former leader agreed to surrender in exchange for the rest of the Autobots being allowed to go free. Saddened and disgusted to truly see with his own eyes how far his idol had fallen, Tarn beat him to within an inch of his life, and was just about to deliver the killing shot when [[Overlord (G1)|Overlord]] suddenly appeared, insisting that it was his right to end Megatron's life. Both refused to stand down, resulting in a bickering battle between the two that gave Megatron the chance to escape. Realizing their folly, Tarn and Overlord agreed to a truce, though Overlord continued to needle Tarn all the way back to the ''Peaceful Tyranny''. At sundown, Tarn led the Decepticons in their attack, {{storylink|The Dying of the Light Part 4: At Close of Day|At Close of Day}} playing "The Empyrean Suite" across the battlefield as battle commenced. He initially hung back with Deathsaurus, but joined the fight in earnest after a temporary power-up acquired by the Autobots wore off, ripping [[Ravage (G1)/2005 IDW continuity|Ravage]] clean in half. Unfortunately, that turned out to be just the thing to bring Megatron out onto the battlefield, cutting swathes through the Decepticon troops. Tarn surreptitiously ordered the D.J.D. to retreat, whilst demanding Deathsaurus' troops enact a suicidal assault on Megatron. Their shots, however, were reflected by the sudden activation of a forcefield by Megatron. Whilst Overlord and Deathsaurus abandoned the planet, unwilling to waste their time and troops respectively on Megatron, Tarn and the other remaining members of the D.J.D. assaulted the forcefield until they could finally force their way in. Things went very badly wrong after that, as soon as the D.J.D. were all inside Megatron rose to his feet and chided Tarn, ripping the D.J.D. leader's fusion cannon off in disgust. With dawning horror the D.J.D. realized everything was all according to Megatron's plan–after years of study, he had finally managed to interlink his systems with a black hole to harvest [[antimatter]], and he had no intention of letting any of them leave alive. With his former enforcers now trapped, Megatron tore through them with tendrils of antimatter, speaking their true names at the moments of their deaths. Tarn was saved for last, his mask ripped off as Megatron called him by his previous name: "Glitch". Tarn first begged for Megatron to be "reasonable", then tried fake bravado, just as many of his own victims had done... and with as little success.

Investigating, they found they'd been marked as lunch by an [[Energon eater]], and had to put themselves in stasis and power down their ship to escape it. {{storylink|Unfinished Business}} Sometime later, the ''[[Sigma]]'' received a transmission from [[Optimus Prime (WFC)|Optimus Prime]] and landed on [[Earth]]. After dropping the bombshell that [[Cybertron (planet)|Cybertron]] was no more, Optimus assigned the team to [[Griffin Rock]] to work with the Burns family. Blades was not keen on the helicopter [[alternate mode]] he was forced to take, as his previous form had wheels and he was afraid of heights. The four Rescue Bots were presented to the public by [[Charlie Burns|Chief Burns]] at a ceremony, following which Blades discovered that his new partner, [[Dani Burns]], could yell really loud when she wanted him to fly faster as they went to the [[Griffin Rock natural history museum|museum]] to attend to a fire. Dani and Blades continued to have trouble working together, arriving late to an emergency. Cody tried unsuccessfully to get the pair to bond, until there was another emergency when [[Mount Magma]] began threatening the island with lava. Blades and Dani operated the switch to open the volcano's crater as a relief measure, but when they were subsequently caught in an ash cloud, Dani had to cajole a panicking Blades into flying out of it. He managed to earn her respect when he subsequently braved the ash to pick up a water tower and douse the lava with it. {{storylink|Under Pressure}}

After Blades felt like he wasn't contributing enough, Dani fitted a scoop claw to him, something he wasn't that enthusiastic about, and made him look fat in [[robot mode]]. The claw soon proved its worth, though the other Rescue Bots were annoyed Blades and Dani were hogging all the rescues and even threatened to forcibly remove it. When during a patrol, Blades was forced down by a lightning strike, the other Rescue Bots came to his aid, and he and Dani decided to use the claw scoop a little less often in the future. {{storylink|Hotshots}} Blades and Dani retrieved a lobster parade balloon after it carried away Doc Greene. Three of the Rescue Bots took part in the technology parade during the [[Lobster and Technology Festival]] but the town was attacked by [[flobster]]s, who seemed to have a liking for Blades's face. After Cody souped up a go-kart, Blades was worried he wouldn't want to hang out with them any more. Blades was happy at being grounded due to fog, but had to fly anyway when the dinosaur from the museum was spotted near the lab. After braving huge rats and a torrent of water, they made it to the [[Griffin Rock dam]], where they rescued Kade and alerted the rest of the team to the fact that the dam was near bursting. Cody later used the Minimizer to return them to their normal sizes. {{storylink|Small Blessings}} While trying to save [[Wild (RB)|Captain Wild]]'s boat, Blades was pulled under the sea but managed to save the boat with the help of the rest of the team. After the daring rescue of Huxley Prescott by the four bots, Chief left them with strict orders not to go to [[Griffin Crest]]. After receiving an apparent SOS from Cody, Blades and the others went there anyway and ended up immobilized by an [[Electromagnetic pulse|EMP]] field, leaving them in need of a rescue. {{storylink|Rules and Regulations}} Blades had a rotor bend during a rescue at the airport, so when he and the other three Bots were washed out to sea with Cody and ended up on an inhabited island, he was unable to fly back to Griffin Rock for help. The Bots' attempts to build him shelter and gather food were less than successful, but they did manage to find traces of the ''[[Oaken Crow]]'', which led to them finding the ship and getting off the island. {{storylink|The Lost Bell}}

While on a mission to [[Wayward Island]], Blades was excited to meet Bumblebee, however his attempting to show off backfired when he got stuck to a tree and Bumblebee had to rescue him. Back on Griffin Rock, the team attended another rescue, but when the other three Rescue Bots seized up, Bumblebee once again had to help Blades complete the rescue. As it turned out the others had been infected by a virus from the meteorite, Blades stayed at the fire station while the humans and Bumblebee went to deal with it, but ended up flying out himself to rescue Bumblebee from an undersea trench. Faced with an out-of-control bomb, the two Bots used it to destroy the meteorite, but were infected by the virus themselves. When the Rescue Bots were called out to deal with a huge blob of space goo, Blades was horrified by it eating [[Mister Pettypaws]] and tried fruitlessly to hit it with a park sculpture. He and Dani tracked the [[Squilsh]] from the air, and later provided an air lift when the team cornered it at the [[Griffin Rock Community Pool]]. {{storylink|You've Been Squilshed}} Blades and Dani rescued Frankie from [[Tracer (RB)|tracers]] after most of the townspeople were teleported elsewhere by them, and had to fly through the wind farm to try to lose a swarm of the bugs. Blades helped search the island for Chief Burns and [[Chase (RB)|Chase]] after the pair went missing, though when the trail led to the old lead mine, he was almost too worried about blood-sucking bats to go in. He, [[Graham Burns|Graham]] and Dani followed Boulder's sonar and managed to find Chase. {{storylink|Little White Lies}} The Rescue Bots were forced to be extra attentive to their cover as robots when Frankie started filming them for a school project. They stopped a swarm of earthquakes by tracking down the cause in the caves under Griffin Rock. {{storylink|Shake Up}} Following Blades's discovery of fireworks, Cody got a [[repulsor badge]], granting the boy superhero-like powers. When the badge overloaded, trapping Cody in an energy bubble, Blades declared it his mortal enemy, as he and the other Bots worked to rescue Cody. {{storylink|Rescue Boy}}

Blades, the other Rescue Bots, Cody and Frankie were sent back in time to [[1939]] in a time travel accident. There they fell into the hands of a team of scientists headed by Doctor Morocco who performed experiments on them. Morocco was getting to the point of dissecting the four Bots when Optimus and Bumblebee came to their rescue. On returning to the present, they found that Morocco had taken over the town with the aid of his MorBots. {{storylink|It's a Bot Time}} The four bots managed to elude the MorBots and soon established that leaving [[Dither]] in the past had resulted in the changed. Blades took to playing a dance video game with Frankie, once she and Doc Greene knew the Rescue Bots' secret. He and Dani tracked an iceberg, only to discover it was actually [[S.S. Isolde|a ship]] frozen by a piece of cargo it was carrying, the [[Sub-Zero Expander]]. After accidentally getting frozen by the machine, Blades returned to base, and took part in an attempt to get rid of the device by blowing it up, which was aborted when it turned out Doctor Morocco had claimed the vessel as salvage. The team had to deal with the fallout when the device exploded and froze a five-mile section of ocean. {{storylink|Tip of the Iceberg}} After a rescue mission where Blades became frightened of the snowy weather, Cody took Blades to the Hall of Inspiration where they played the Doc's new [[Griffin Rock Element Quest|virtual reality game]]. Inside the game, Cody taught Blades about video games, such as power-ups and boss fights, but the game bugged out when lightning struck the Hall. The bosses could hurt the two and Blades overcame his fear and gained the courage to protect Cody, much to Heatwave's surprise. When the rest of the team was mesmerized by cellphones, Blades escaped by virtue of being out on patrol at the time, though it did mean he and Dani had to put out a fire without Heatwave's help. They were subsequently mind-controlled as well, and forced to excavate [[Blossom Vale]] until the cell tower was taken out. {{storylink|Spellbound}} Huxley Prescott's reality show featuring the bots was approved by the mayor, and Blades was caught up in the idea of gaining fame. Blades took part in a rescue when Taylor's plane was stricken with an electrical fault. He and the rest of the team later had to face a horde of [[gremlin]]s conjured from Kade's nightmares. {{storylink|Blame the Gremlins}} When a monster was spotted during a star-gazing expedition with Cody, Blades and the other Rescue Bots helped the boy hunt for the beast, resulting in an encounter with it at an old cannery. A picnic Blades and Cody were helping Dani with was interrupted by the arrival of [[Woodrow Burns]]. The revelation that there was [[energon]] under the island resulted in Optimus Prime arriving, and the whole team had to go rescue Woodrow and Cody after the pair became trapped in a cavern deep underground, which ended up with Blades having to fight giant spiders. {{storylink|What Lies Below}} After Blades, Boulder and the three older siblings were separated from the others, Blades had to brave luminous fungus, pterodactyls, and giant fish as they searched for a way out. The Rescue Bots had to bring out their spaceship for another mission to save Graham and Doc Greene after the space elevator they were on was hit by an asteroid. {{storylink|Space Bots}} The team had to deal with a runaway [[mechanical bull]]. When a mishap occurred while transporting the creature to the [[Island of Misfit Tech]], Blades, Chase and Boulder ended up tussling with a prototype Scrapmaster. {{storylink|The Island of Misfit Tech}} The town's new central computer [[Vigil]] was unable to control the four Rescue Bots, so when it attempted to take control of Griffin Rock, the Bots were able to get the rest of the team into its vault to stop it. {{storylink|The Vigilant Town}}

Blades finally achieved his ambition to become a [[Lad Pioneer]] when he was appointed troop mascot. Going on a nature hike, Blade was linked with Cody via [[Buddy Bracelet]]s, the keys for which were accidentally destroyed. Consequently, Cody had to come along with Blades when the Rescue Bot took part in a snake hunt around town. {{storylink|Buddy System}} After an earthquake and a rash of objects being pulled into the air, Blades became convinced that invisible [[griffin]]s were to blame. He and the other Bots accompanied Graham and Cody to Wayward Island, where it turned out that it was just a super-magnet causing the trouble. {{storylink|In Search of the Griffin's Nest}}

When Chase appeared to join with Evan and Myles during their crime spree, Blades and the rest of the rescue team found themselves going against him. He later rejoined the team and the four Rescue Bots disabled the [[Tech Wrecker]] Evan and Myles had created. {{storylink|Bots and Robbers}} Following the rescue of a dog, the Rescue Bots were joined in their work by [[Noble (RB)|Noble]], at least until the dogs real owner turned up to claim him. {{storylink|Rescue Dog}} The team had to deal with a storm without Heatwave. After a sea rescue Blades took part in resulted in everyone's midwinter holiday presents sinking to the bottom of the ocean, Blades and the rest of the team took on the mantle of the [[Rider of Midwinter]] and delivered loaves of bread to the townsfolk. {{storylink|The Riders of Midwinter}} When a [[Power Planter]] was struck by lightning and ran wild, the team was forced to respond to a number of emergencies caused by it. They eventually succeeded in luring it into a trap using [[Boil Coil]]s and destroyed it. {{storylink|Movers and Shakers}} When Chief Burns was off the island, Woodrow ended up as part of the team. Blades found himself being used as a ramp during a rescue of the mayor, something he didn't enjoy much, though he later got to help rescue some [[dolphin]]s. {{storylink|Chief Woodrow}}

Blades was excited at the news that Bumblebee was coming and made plans to enjoy his friend's visit, however it turned out Bumblebee was there on a relic-finding mission. What's worse, Dani's pilot license was suspended, so unable to fly in Blades, she was partnered with Bumblebee. Though he grew jealous of the pair's growing bond, Blades was soon distracted by helping Optimus retrieve the relic from the ocean, and was later happy when Bumblebee saved Dani from quicksand. {{storylink|Odd Bot Out}} The rescue team was roped into completing a rail tunnel to the mainland, mainly because Mayor Luskey regarded the Bots as heavy machinery. Following a game of [[Rescue Ball]] and an impromptu rescue mission, Blades's attempt to watch ''[[Cupcake Hoarders]]'' was thwarted when he was lured into a trap and kidnapped by Dr. Morocco. Morocco used a memory-erasing ray on him and convinced him that the doctor had been assigned as the Rescue Bots' liaison on Earth by Optimus Prime. Once the other Rescue Bots were similarly brainwashed, Morocco put Blades in charge and sent the team to a cavern under Griffin Rock to mine gold. Unfortunately Blades accidentally set off a methane explosion and when the Bots climbed out of the crater, they were confronted by the dastardly Burns family. {{storylink|Double Villainy}}

The suspicious Bots were taken back to the fire house, where the evidence soon convinced them that the Burns family was on their side and they'd been misled by Morocco. Unfortunately the methane explosion cause the island to begin to sink, and given the choice between helping out or regaining their memories, the Bots chose the former option. Blades was relieved to discover he wasn't team leader though. With the help of some tech from Doc Greene, the team was able to raise the island once again, and Morocco was forced to restore their memories. {{storylink|Rise of the Heroes}}

During a routine inspection by Optimus, Blades and Dani encountered an unexpected pterodactyl. After they captured and tagged it, the team tracked the creature back to Wayward Island where they found a whole group of dinosaurs, one of which damaged Blades's tail rotor. The team was subsequently chased into a tar pit and had to be rescued by Optimus Prime. Once they established what the dinos were upset about, the team was able to get them to return to the underground cavern they'd come from. {{storylink|Land Before Prime (episode)|Land Before Prime}} When Optimus was abducted by big game hunter [[Quint Quarry]], Heatwave, Chase and Blades headed to Quarry's island to mount a rescue. After catching Blades repeatedly with nets, the hunter managed to trap the trio in a cage and was about to take them off the island in his heli-jet when Optimus and Boulder came to their aid. {{storylink|Big Game}}

Following the accidental creation of four extra Kades, Blades found himself having to take them all back to the first station after their squabbling caused an accident. He later attempted to rescue the rest of the team from a gas leak, but ended up himself needing rescuing by the quintet of Kades. {{storylink|Too Many Kades}} The team was sent ten years forward in time when they boarded the ''[[S.S. Phantom Voyager]]'', however Boulder and Graham were able to reverse the time machine stored in the ship's hold, returning them to present day. {{storylink|Phantom of the Sea}} After having to deal with a flooding disaster, Blades and Heatwave had to try and cover for Chase and Boulder during their mission in space. {{storylink|Unfinished Business}}

After the town was sealed inside an energy dome by Vigil, Blades and the others pursued the AI to try to beat it to the dome controls in the lab. Despite being injured during the chase, Blades beat Vigil to the lab along with Chase, but Vigil stuck them to the floor using the Collision Foam Cannon, leaving it to Frankie and Cody to save the day. {{storylink|No Place Like Dome}} Blades attempted to help Graham gain confidence to talk to [[Amy]] via role playing. He later saved the day, using ''[[Confident Me]]'' to lure a swarm of mutant army ants to a place where they could be successfully captured. {{storylink|Bugs in the System}}

During a trip on the space elevator Asgard, Blades switched bodies with Dani. He binged on yogurt and potato chips, much to her disgust, and she forced him to exercise to work off the calories. For his part, he was smug when she found being a helicopter wasn't as much fun as she thought. They were eventually swapped back into their own bodies. {{storylink|Switcheroo}} Blades and the rest of the team were shrunken down to microscopic size so they could enter Kade's body and retrieve the [[scrubmite]]s he'd accidentally ingested. {{storylink|Bot-Tastic Voyage}} Following Professor Baranova's abduction at the hands of Colonel Quarry, Blades scanned a pterodactyl alternate mode so he and the other Rescue Bots, plus Optimus, could masquerade as the dinobots Quarry wanted Doc Greene to build. Unfortunately Blades then found he could no longer transform, and ended up bringing Cody along by accident when Quarry took them all to an island. As Quarry was taking the other Autobots to be sold, Blades finally found the strength to transform so that he could rescue them. {{storylink|Quarry's Quarry}}

The team visited Wayward Island to search for an energon trace, which Blades hoped would mean a visit from Bumblebee. They found only a caveman frozen in ice, who turned out to be still alive once he was thawed back in Griffin Rock. While the others helped "[[Ira]]" acclimate, Heatwave and Blades returned to Wayward Island and found cave paintings depicting Autobots in the caveman's era. {{storylink|Did You See What I Thaw?}} The team had to cope with giant Kaiju created when Doc Greene's new projector was used to screen ''[[Humungado|Attack of Humungado]]'', and ended up using their dino modes to combat the beasts. {{storylink|The Attack of Humungado}}

The mayor decided to honor the rescue team by holding [[Bot Appreciation Week]], however a clash in schedules resulted in the Burns family being off the island for the start. The Rescue Bots found they had to contend with the souvenir versions of themselves running amok thanks to Evan and Myles reprogramming them. {{storylink|All Bots Great and Small}} When Cody began experiencing repeated time, his foreknowledge allowed the rescue team to prevent a number of disasters and mishaps during the dedication of the town's new clock tower. {{storylink|Time After Time}}

After the discovery that the Burns family had a pirate in their ancestry and the suspension of the rescue team, Blades took Woodrow, Cody and Dani to look for pirate treasure, though he was too big to enter the cave they were led to, and built a firehouse out of sand while he waited. Clues eventually led the team to the treasure, and they were subsequently reinstated by the mayor. {{storylink|Pirates Ahoy}} When the Rescue Bots were assigned to training with [[High Tide]], Blades found the old bot particularly fearsome and messed up repeatedly. After taking some time to rescue a human in trouble, Blades earned a chewing out from High Tide. He later steadied an oil rig long enough for the other Rescue Bots to rescue Doc and Frankie. {{storylink|Turning the Tide}} When the time traveler [[Jules Verne]] visited, Blades helped apprehend Dr. Morocco. {{storylink|The Last of Morocco}}

When the Rescue Bots found two Autobots, [[Blurr (Prime)|Blurr]] and [[Salvage (RB)|Salvage]], on Wayward Island, Optimus assigned the team to train the two newcomers. Blades was unimpressed with Blurr's lying about his past, but Optimus convinced the team to let Blurr have another chance. {{storylink|The New Recruits}} After hours of failed rescue simulations, Cody suggested more personal training for the newbies, so Blades constructed a highlight reel of his own rescues. {{storylink|Rescue Bots Academy (episode)|Rescue Bots Academy}} After Blurr stole the ship and a solar flare knocked out the island's power, Blades was reluctantly forced to fly rescues in the dark, backwards. The Rescue Bots were forced to hunt for Servo after the dog went missing in action and left a trail of destruction in his wake. {{storylink|Four-Legged Hero}} Blades joined Boulder, Chase and the kids in guarding some [[Gold-Crested Woodpecker|woodpeckers]] Boulder found, however they were forced to go into damage control mode when word of the discovery got out, and had to deal with a fire in Blossom Vale. {{storylink|Endangered Species}}

After Chase injured himself, Blades prescribed a week of rest off his feet, and as a result Chase took the job of dispatcher and managed to send the team on a number of false alarms. {{storylink|More than Meets the Eye (RB)|More than Meets the Eye}} When Doc Greene's [[Tone-O-Tuner]] caused everyone in town to sing instead of talk, Blades took part in a video call to educate new recruits and though reluctant, ended up singing a duet with Dani. {{storylink|I Have Heard the Robots Singing}}

Blades and the other Rescue Bots took part in the opening of a time capsule, during which a quantum crystal mishap resulted in the entire island being teleported to the [[Arctic]]. The four Bots had to deice the generators so that the island's dome could be raised. {{storylink|Now and Then}} Blades and Dani attempted to go for help, only to find that the conditions were too harsh and Heatwave had to help them return to town. As the team enacted a plan to fill the dome with floatium and fly the island back, the Rescue Bots had their work cut out keeping people safe. The journey continued, but the Rescue Bots were forced to use their own energon to power the dome. They successfully reached Griffin Rock's old location, and after some medical attention, the Rescue Bots recovered. Optimus gave them a new mission, to let the rest of the town in on their secret. {{storylink|Today and Forever}}

Despite Blades being in favor, three years on they still hadn't told the humans about themselves. An invasion by the [[Velgrox]], which Blades found out about when they captured Dani, resulted in the four Rescue Bots having to reveal themselves to the townsfolk. {{storylink|New Normal}} Blades immediately started organizing his own fan club, however he proved unable to interest any of the townsfolk in joining and had to offer free helicopter rides instead. {{storylink|Bridge Building}} When a race between Blades and Heatwave ended in an emergency situation, Blades had to help clean up the mess. Heatwave subsequently restricted the team to their official duties and had Blades flying patrols over the island. It was not long after that the team encountered a new Rescue Bot named [[Quickshadow]]. {{storylink|Arrivals}} Quickshadow assigned him and Dani to fly over the island while Heatwave transported dangerous chemicals for Doc Greene. After a mishap spread acid clouds around downtown, he carried Heatwave back to the clouds to help neutralize them. {{storylink|Plus One (RB)|Plus One}}

Following a mishap in which the town pool froze over, Blades went to the [[Griffin Rock Fun Zone|Fun Zone]] to play games. When the [[Morocco virus]] invaded the ''Element Quest'' game, Blades was eliminated while protecting Cody from a dragon. {{storylink|Back to Virtual Reality}} When investors were looking at redeveloping the island, the Rescue Bots used Velgrox technology to make themselves invisible and pretend to be ghosts to scare them off. {{storylink|Vanishing Returns}}

The team took part in [[Halloween|Earliween]] celebrations, though Blades was keen on dressing in a costume himself. They also came up with a plan to foil Evan and Myles when the pair tried to carnap Quickshadow. {{storylink|Ghost in the Machine (RB)|Ghost in the Machine}} When Whiskers was abducted from the zoo, the Rescue Bots used their dino modes as bait to lure big game hunter [[Thurston Chumley|Lord Chumley]]. Blades helped Chase run for mayor by campaigning, however when Chase actually took office, the changes he made interfered with the team's ability to do their job. {{storylink|Mayor May Not}} Blades was keen to celebrate [[All Spark Day (event)|All Spark Day]], and actually got to do so with the rest of town — after the team had to deal with a giant-size [[CeCe Greene]]. {{storylink|All Spark Day (episode)|All Spark Day}} When the town's communications tower required replacing, the team took on second jobs — Blades and Dani operated a traffic report for Huxley. The townsfolk later chipped in with enough cash to replace the tower. {{storylink|Part-Time Heroes}}

When the new mainland [[Rescue Bot Training Center]] was reaching completion, Blades planned a housewarming party, but was upset when it turned out a fair portion of the team wouldn't be able to make it. He ended up abandoning the idea and headed back to Griffin Rock. {{storylink|The More Things Change...}} Cut off from the training center after the computer system malfunctioned, Chase, Blades and Chief instead dealt with the problems on Griffin Rock. Blades was called on to fly over to the mainland and assist Heatwave in reactivating the center's holographic disguise. {{storylink|The More Things Stay the Same}}

During a series of motor races, the Bots had to first deal with a collapsing stand full of spectators, and then with runaway racers thanks to an errant invention. Blades had been left alone back at the Rescue Bots command center when he was abducted by a mysterious force, pulled through a trans-dimensional portal to another universe. He found himself within a metallic labyrinth, where he met the [[Dinobot (G1)|Dinobot]] [[Snarl (G1)|Snarl]]. Several cannons then popped up throughout the corridor, prompting Snarl to tell the Rescue Bot to draw out his swords. A bewildered Blades explained to Snarl that his blades were for flying, not fighting! Snarl picking up the slack, the duo made their way to the middle of the maze via a "graphic and expensive-looking battle sequence." Upon reaching their destination, Blades was relieved to find an authority figure in the form of [[Ultra Magnus (G1)/2005 IDW continuity|Ultra Magnus]]. He also met five other 'bots who had similarly been abducted from their home dimensions: [[Arcee (Animated)|Arcee]], [[Sureshock (Armada)|Sureshock]], [[Ravage (SG)|Ravage]], [[Ironhide (RID)|Ironhide]] and [[Sonar (BW)|Sonar]]. Blades found them all terrifying.

A mysterious voice then made itself heard, and stated that it had brought the group together in a ploy to get revenge on the Autobots. Blades pointed out that a bunch of them weren't Autobots, and asked to be excused from the whole brouhaha. The voice declared that it didn't care about the semantics of their factions, and unleashed a "horde" of Sharkticons on them... and by a horde, it meant a single sickly and rusted Sharkticon. Embarrassed, the group's abductor ordered them to fight to the death instead of bothering with the Sharkticon. Blades had difficulty wrapping his head around the idea that someone could fight so hard with their friends or coworkers that they'd just drop dead, before it was explained to him what the voice actually meant. This only served to terrify Blades further, who pondered that this was weird way to learn a valuable lesson about responsibility and teamwork.

Annoyed that its prisoners weren't killing one another already, the voice threatened to detonate a Dark Energon bomb if they didn't get on with it. But Blades managed to bluff his captor into admitting that he didn't have a bomb, using some of the "mad scientist lingo" he had picked up around Griffin Rock. The architect behind the whole plot revealed himself to be the [[Skuxxoid]], whom Snarl dealt with in short order. The abductees, now left to devise a way to get themselves back to their homes, began to brainstorm on how to accomplish such a feat. They settled on all laughing together, as characters in cheesy cartoons are prone to do when an episode comes to an end. This, surprisingly enough, worked out. Finding himself back in Griffin Rock, Blades was puzzled over the fact that he hadn't gotten any character building lesson out of his adventure... Because the [[Great Cataclysm]] had severely disrupted the development of Cybertron's societies, the comparatively young Cybertronian race had lagged behind in their technological and social development and lived in a largely feudal society ruled by scattered kings and warlords. When the Quintessons — the forgotten efforts of [[Quintus Prime]] — discovered the planet, they began observing the planet and its inhabitants remotely. Before long, the Quintessons began abducting lone Cybertronians and implanting probes in their bodies. One early victim was the menial worker [[Coldwelder]], who sought medical treatment from [[Ratchet (WFC)|Ratchet]] and [[Cogwheel]] after his traumatic experience.

Soon afterward, the Quintessons revealed themselves to the masses, landing their ships in all of Cybertron's population centers. Claiming to be emissaries sent to "uplift" Cybertron, they won the adoration of Cybertronians by revealing the secret of the [[transformation cog|T-cog]], which allowed Cybertronians to assume other shapes. {{storylink|Transformers: The Covenant of Primus|The Covenant of Primus}} {{storylink|Transformers: Retribution}} The Quintessons shared their technological knowledge with Cybertronians, artificially accelerating Cybertron's public and private infrastructure and introducing the Transformers to spaceflight and dimensional travel. Hoping to subjugate and enslave Cybertronians, the Quintessons began re-organizing the Cybertronian social structure based on the ideals of [[Caste system|Form and Function]]. The Quintesson presence on Cybertron interfered with the [[Well of All Sparks]], to the point where some Cybertronians began emerging without names or personalities. The Quintessons claimed that this was for the best, since these new Transformers would not yearn for anything more out of life. The Quintessons also began building mysterious structures, which [[Prowl (WFC)|Prowl]] and [[Bluestreak (Prime)|Bluestreak]] analyzed. They discovered that they were dimensional gates, or "[[space bridge]]s", although it was unclear just how they worked. The final straw came when a young scientist known as [[Shockwave (WFC)|Shockwave]] translated the Quintesson language, which Senator [[Soundwave (WFC)|Soundwave]] analyzed... and realized that the Quintessons were discussing selling off the population of Cybertron.

The Council enacted "Plan T-Cog", which involved raiding the Well to prove that Cybertronians could transform without Quintesson assistance. {{storylink|Transformers: The Covenant of Primus|The Covenant of Primus}} Once this was done, Sentinel Prime declared war on the Quintessons, and called the Transformers to arms. *An era called the "Age of Wrath" was originally conceived in the unfinished Dreamwave Generation 1 based comic book miniseries of the same name. There it was to be the era of the battle between [[Primus]]' [[Thirteen|first children]] and [[Unicron]]. [[Grimlock (G1)|Grimlock]]'s lineage traced back to the Age of Wrath. This information never made publication due to Dreamwave's collapse, and is only found in [[Simon Furman]]'s script for the unpublished [[The Age of Wrath Pt.5|''Age of Wrath'' #5]].
