Later, after the new All Spark was completed, Payload arrived leading a team of drones carrying the massive generators required to drain the [[Spark|life force]] out of the Autobot prisoners and put it into the Cube. Unfortunately for Starscream, the Cube didn't work, and Dreadwing's forces betrayed him. Payload came to Earth in response to [[Starscream (Movie)|Starscream]]'s signal, sent out after [[Megatron (Movie)|Megatron]]'s death. When Starscream recruited the [[Human Accessory Force]], he joined in a battle to capture a dam construction site in [[Zambia]]. He was skeptical of Starscream's claim that Megatron was truly dead, but accepted [[Macerator (ROTF)|Macerator]]'s word that the recordings of the event clearly showed Megatron being killed. Once the Autobots had come to investigate the Decepticon activity, Payload, Macerator and [[Dropkick (Movie)|Dropkick]] lured them into the Zambezi River to fight. Though Payload managed to keep Ironhide distracted as they neared Victoria Falls, two humans, [[Kaminari Ishihara]] and [[Petr Andronov]] interfered with the fight using strange hi-tech guns, and Payload was forced to retreat.

The three Decepticons proceeded to Kariba Dam, where Payload descended into the gorge and started blasting away at the bottom of the dam, with the intention of rupturing it. When the Autobots caught up with them, Ratchet started attempting to repair the dam, and Payload began firing at him instead. He inflicted heavy damage on Ratchet, however the humans released the floodgates on the dam. Unable to withstand the raging torrent, Payload was swept away. Their plan had been to use the wormhole they'd originally come through to get back to Earth, but that carried the risk of leading the Decepticons back home with them. Instead the crew opted to aid the Autobots. Though they hung back in a safe position during the space battle that followed, when Starscream had Optimus on the verge of defeat, they stepped in. The ''Ghost 1''<nowiki>'</nowiki>s weapons, though primitive, inflicted enough damage to Starscream that he was forced to break off his attack on Optimus and retreat. Things got even worse when it turned out the helicopter was [[AF-4500|4500X]], which had been shot down over [[Afghanistan]] three months ago. By the time the base's radar was jammed, Sharp was at the limits of his patience, and he ordered the crew of the helicopter to step out or be shot. And everything pretty much went to hell when said helicopter transformed into a colossal robot and rampaged across the base, tossing tanks and jets into the air.

When the giant robot began trying to download top-secret military data, Sharp physically cut the lines to the server with a fire axe, thus preventing the invader from getting all the data it was after.

Santos led the TRF on a mission to [[Chicago]] when drones detected Transformers there. He encountered [[Cade Yeager]] and [[Bumblebee (Movie)|Bumblebee]], but was prevented from apprehending them by three factors: Bumblebee went on a reassembling spree and injured many of his men, [[William Lennox]] encouraged him to stand down, and [[Hound (Movie)|Hound]] arrived and threatened them with his Gatling gun. Santos had to retreat for the day. He later followed [[Megatron (Movie)|Megatron]]'s Decepticon team into another mission to Cade Yeager's junkyard and pursued the Autobots when they beat it out of there. His TRF forces surrounded the abandoned city Cade was using as refuge. He controlled a fleet of drones which Cade had a heck of a time avoiding, but was forced into another retreat when the mother drone was destroyed by Cade. He then led a squad of TRF troops and pursued the [[HMS Alliance|HMS ''Alliance'']], which was being captained by Cade and [[Viviane Wembly]]. Arriving at the ancient Cybertronian ship, Santos's submarine was forced to use a narrow, perilous tube for entry after the gate closed behind Cade. He managed to make it in and engaged [[Skullitron|a knight]] who threatened Cade and Viviane. He then tried to convince Viviane to hand over the [[Staff of Merlin]], only for her to turn the tables on them when she revealed she was the only one who could use it. Santos had to stand down. He rendezvoused with the rest of the TRF when the ship broke the ocean surface and was provided with Ospreys to reach the [[ignition chamber]]. He boarded the same plane as Lennox, Cade, and Viviane (and unknowingly [[Izabella]] and [[Sqweeks]]) and had a talk with Cade.
