* Per an April 1986 draft of the script to ''The Transformers: The Movie'', Lithone was originally to be known as "the planet of marble", and populated by creatures of living rock. Hence, we can safely conclude that its name derives from the {{w|Greek language|Greek}} word ''lithos'', meaning "rock".
* To further add to the nebulous issue of Unicron's overall scale, Unicron ate Lithone in a manner similar to how he devoured both of Cybertron's moons, whereas he had to transform into Robot Mode to attempt an attack on Cybertron. This suggests that Lithone's overall size, despite being populated by lifeforms the size of the average Cybertronian, was similar in scale to Cybertron's moons.
