'''Deathsaurus''' began terrorizing the galaxy long before ascending to the position of Decepticon [[Emperor of Destruction]]. For thousands of years, this savage and cruel dictator has spread terror throughout the universe, and has now set his sights upon the Earth as a source of energy to power his terrifying superweapon, the [[Planet-Destroying Fortress]]. And if [[Star Saber (Victory)|Star Saber]] should get in his way, so much the better: Deathsaurus bears the Autobot [[Supreme Commander]] a bitter grudge, and relishes any opportunity to destroy him that presents itself.

Deathsaurus is a [[Breastforce]] warrior, partnered with two transforming chestplates that become the [[Breast Animal]]s [[Tigerbreast]] and [[Eaglebreast]]. He wields a deadly spiked flail, and the [[Living-Metal-Destroying Cannon]], which erodes the living metallic cells of super-robot lifeforms. The bladed wings of his creature mode absorb sunlight, converting it into dark energy, and he can then launch these energized blades at his opponents in an attack known as his "Death Wing". Despite all of these terrifying powers, however, Deathsaurus is a surprisingly "hands off" leader, who is perfectly happy to allow his subordinates to formulate their own plans and schemes to gather energy for him—but if they should fail, he'll always be there to berate and brutalize them. Even when the plans are his own, Deathsaurus is content to watch and command from a distance, rather than dirty his own hands—but he'll rarely waste a chance to engage Star Saber on the battlefield, and if that occurs, woe betide anyone who gets in Deathsaurus's way.

Curiously, Deathsaurus permits himself one distinctive, unusual foible: although he despises most humans, he has a surprising soft spot for children.

500,000 years ago, striving to become the Decepticons' new Emperor of Destruction, Deathsaurus created a gigantic battle fortress capable of destroying planets, but an attack by the young Autobot commander Star Saber saw the fortress de-powered and trapped in a gravity cell at the heart of the region of space known as [[Dark Nebula]]. This began the enmity between Star Saber and Deathsaurus, and as both combatants rose through the ranks of their respective armies, Deathsaurus vowed to eventually liberate his fortress and use it to destroy Star Saber. {{storylink|Resurrection!? Some years prior to 2025, after the conclusion of the [[Masterforce War]] on Earth, Deathsaurus succeeded [[Overlord (Masterforce)|Overlord]] as Decepticon leader and achieved his dream of becoming Emperor of Destruction. <ref>Overlord's on-package [[bio]]</ref> Under his command, the Decepticons began seeking a planet that they could call their own and invaded worlds all across the galaxy. To counteract Deathsaurus's campaign of terror, the Autobots—now with Star Saber serving as their Supreme Commander—and many other sentient races formed the [[Galactic Peace Alliance]], and struck back at the Decepticons with their [[Galactic Defense Force]]. When Deathsaurus's [[Dinoforce]] attacked the [[Lunar Base (Victory)|Lunar Base]] on Earth's [[Moon (moon)|moon]], Star Saber raced to aid his fellow [[Brainmaster]]s in battle there, only to find his way barred by Deathsaurus. Hoping to distract Star Saber long enough for the Dinoforce to finish their job, Deathsaurus engaged his old foe in battle, but Star Saber broke off the fight as quickly as he could and headed on toward the moon with Deathsaurus hot on his heels. After Star Saber defeated the Dinoforce, Deathsaurus caught up to him and unleashed his Breast Animals upon the Autobot in both beast and weapon forms. Star Saber eventually won out, defeating both the creatures and besting Deathsaurus in a swordfight, forcing the Decepticon leader to summon up his craft, the ''[[Thunder Arrow]],'' and flee aboard it. {{storylink|The Brave Hero of the Universe - Star Saber}}

Recognizing the Earth as a rich source of energy that he could use to power up his Planet-Destroying Fortress, Deathsaurus centered most of his subsequent attacks on the planet, summoning the Breastforce to aid in the campaign. {{storylink|Sneak Attack! Multiforce}} Deathsaurus was entirely aware of the fact that the Breastforce's leader [[Leozack]] had designs on leadership of the Decepticons for himself, {{storylink|Move Out! Rescue Team}} but he was amused enough by it to let him slide by, allowing Leozack to believe that he was oblivious to his schemes. Residing on the Thunder Arrow as it hopscotched around the planet and solar system, Deathsaurus was content to watch as his troops staged numerous attacks on Earth. {{storylink|Infiltration... Deathsaurus finally decided to join his troops on a mission when the Decepticon began draining electrical energy from an American subway system. While the Breastforce snuck through the subway tunnels, Deathsaurus himself targeted the power distribution center, where he was confronted by Star Saber. The true cunning of Deathsaurus's scheme was revealed when he let loose his Breast Animals, and Star Saber proved no match for the creatures in the small confines of the underground complex. Unfortunately for Deathsaurus, he had overlooked the fact that with both Breast Animals deployed, his own chest was left unprotected, leaving it open to an attack from Star Saber's Saber Blade. Wounded, Deathsaurus recalled his Breast Animals and fled, but not without successfully taking the energy he had managed to steal beforehand. {{storylink|Big City - Underground Terror}}

When the Breastforce were joined by [[Hellbat]], the newcomer also adopted designs on the Decepticon throne. {{storylink|The New Warrior - Hellbat}} Deathsaurus was even less concerned with Hellbet's ambitions than he was with Leozack's, though, since the two would-be traitors were always too busy fighting with each other to pose a serious threat to him. In their constant games of one-upmanship, Leozack and Hellbat crafted numerous failed schemes of their own, eventually forcing Deathsaurus to step in and give his minions a mission of his own devising. Deathsaurus had the Decepticons hide in the asteroid belt and capture human shuttlecraft in order to use drain their energy and use them to create an energy alloy. Star Saber soon got wise to the villains' evildoings and arrived to put a stop to them, but again, Deathsaurus successfully escaped with his amassed energy. {{storylink|A Fierce Battle!! While the Breastforce were busy on planet [[Micro]], Deathsaurus and the Dinoforce took the Thunder Arrow into the Dark Nebula, where Deathsaurus emptied his stockpile of energy into his inactive fortress. The giant structure briefly flared back to life, but soon shut down once more; Deathsaurus was unfazed, having only sought to confirm whether or not the fortress could even be reactivated. On the trip back to Earth, the Decepticons crossed paths with Star Saber and the [[Rescue Patrol Team]], and Deathsaurus engaged Star Saber in battle with his Living-Metal-Destroying Cannon. Although Deathsaurus was actually able to pull the trigger on what would have been a fatal blast, he discovered that he had expended too much of his energy supply reactivating his fortress, and his weapons systems shut down before he could end Star Saber's life, necessitating his tactical withdrawal. {{storylink|Resurrection!? Deathsaurus next clashed with Star Saber in Antarctica, only stepping onto the battlefield after the Breastforce, combined as [[Liokaiser]], had severely weakened Star Saber. Deathsaurus took over the fight, intent on being the one to deliver the final blow, but Star Saber was able to turn the battle around, and forced Deathsaurus into retreat. {{storylink|Fight to the Death!! Antarctic Battle}} In a later battle atop the Thunder Arrow, deep in the desert, Star Saber again humbled Deathsaurus, this time with the aid of [[Greatshot]], but the fight left both the Supreme Commander and [[Blacker]] badly wounded. {{storylink|Crisis! Ambush in the Desert}} Capitalizing on the Autobots' reduced manpower, Deathsaurus stepped up the Decepticons' attacks across the planet, and removed another annoyance by finally calling Leozack out on his treachery. Easily besting the traitorous Breastforcer in combat, Deathsaurus forced him to swear total loyalty to him, or face death. Leozack made the logical choice, and then, combined with his fellow Breastforcers as Liokaiser, joined with his leader in staging an ambush for Star Saber in a subterranean cave in Asia. Disguising himself as a Terracotta Army-esque statue, Deathsaurus was able to get the drop on Star Saber when Liokaiser lured him into the cave, and again unleashed the Living-Metal-Destroying Cannon on his enemy. Once more, Deathsaurus stood poised to kill Star Saber with the weapon, until the last-minute arrival of [[Ginrai|God Ginrai]], who took the fatal shot. Liokaiser had to persuade the incensed Deathsaurus to retreat as more Autobots arrived, {{storylink|A Deadly Battle}} but the Decepticon leader soon clashed with Star Saber once more in a later battle at a solar power station. Deathsaurus emerged victorious in that fight when Star Saber was forced to flee upon receiving news of Ginrai's deteriorating condition. {{storylink|Ginrai Dies!!}} Ginrai's life was saved, however, when he was rebuilt into the powerful new warror, [[Victory Leo]]. {{storylink|Fight!! Next, Deathsaurus began bombarding the Earth with missiles from an orbital weapons platform, as a means of staying the Autobots' hands while his forces gathered energy across the planet. Star Saber and Victory Leo were able to thwart his plan by combining into the mighty Victory Saber; Deathsaurus's missile launch system had been programmed based on Star Saber's speed, but with the added power of Victory Leo, the Autobot hero was able to outrace the missiles, destroy the launcher and defeat Deathsaurus in an outer space battle. {{storylink|The Tide is Turned! Following an attempt to destroy the Autobots with the metal-eating [[Dorya]] insects, {{storylink|The Death-Bringing Space Insects!!}} Deathsaurus was informed by Hellbat that he had discovered the location of the sunken continent of [[Atlantis]], which could provide the raw energy to reactivate his fortress. Deathsaurus risked all or nothing to obtain Atlantis's energy, using up the Thunder Arrow's entire energy stockpile to raise the continent, but the plan proved a success, as the Autobots were too busy dealing with the devastating tidal waves caused by the rise of Atlantis to stop him from absconding with enough energy to bring his fortress back online. {{storylink|The Terror of the Giant Tidal Waves}} Having no further use for the bumbling Dinoforce, Deathsaurus abandoned them on Earth and headed back to the Dark Nebula with the Breastforce, where he successfully re-energized his fortress and began moving it towards Earth. {{storylink|The Wrath of the Resurrected Giant Fortress!}}

Intent on learning from the failures of all past Decepticon leaders, Deathsaurus chose not to conquer Earth, but to utterly destroy the planet, eradicting from Decepticon history the humiliating stain of defeat the planet represented. As the fortress rained destruction down upon Earth with meteor bombs, even Victory Saber could not stand up to its power. Soon, however, a resentful Dinoforce supplied information on the fortress's weak spot to Star Saber's adopted human son, [[Jean Minakaze|Jean]], who then used his own [[Illumina II|personal mech]] to enter the fortress and strike at this vulnerability. As he did so, Deathsaurus and Star Saber engaged in a vicious final battle, during which Deathsaurus lost an eye, and was eventually stopped when Star Saber broke his sword off in the villain's chest. Gushing fuel and fluid, Deathsaurus vowed to have the last laugh as he set the crippled fortress on a collision course with Earth and blew himself out an airlock, vowing to return again and again. But, as his body drifted off into space, no sign of life was visible from the conquered emperor. Through means unknown, Deathsaurus was resurrected as the "[[Emperor of Destruction|Dark Emperor]]" and once again lead the Decepticons in an attack on the Autobots. This time, it was a full-on assault on planet [[Zone (planet)|Zone]] in an attempt to seize the Micro Zone's [[Energon Z]]. The [[Micromaster]]s repeled his attack and sent Deathsaurus into retreat. Deathsaurus and Star Saber's rivalry began 500,000 years ago when they were both children, and according to Star Saber, "argued all the time". {{storylink|The Star of Friendship, Jean and Star Saber!}} In his "adult" years, Deathsaurus took [[Esmeral (Victory)|Esmeral]] as his wife, and in order to keep both her and the families of his fellow Decepticons safe aboard his "Space Stronghold", Deathsaurus began attacking Earth, in order to obtain the planet's energy and use it to keep the stronghold fully powered-up. {{storylink|Heroic! During one of his early attacks on Earth, Deathsaurus took pity on an infant human named [[Solon Kitakaze (Victory)|Solon Kitakaze]], whose parents had died in the assault. Deathsaurus "adopted" Solon and turned him into a cyborg, raising him as his own son, just as Star Saber did with the human child Jean Minakaze. As Star Saber and Deathsaurus had been rivals in their youth, so too would Solon and Jean become rivals when, in 2025, Deathsaurus's campaign against Earth intensified.

Deathsaurus and Star Saber's first major battle in this campaign was a brief one, with Deathsaurus being felled by a single swipe of Star Saber's Saber Blade, {{storylink|Magnificent! Our Friend, Star Saber!}} but the Emperor of Destruction had a better showing in their next clash, during which he absorbed enough energy from a forest fire to best Star Saber, Road Caesar and Landcross all together. Deathsaurus's unusual compassion for children proved to be his downfall in this battle when he was distracted by the sight of Solon, gripping Jean in a hold that threatened the boy's life. While Deathsaurus's attention was occupied with striking Solon as punishment, Star Saber blindsided and defeated him with a Super Saber Meteor Spin. {{storylink|Great Turn-Around! Star Saber}}

Deathsaurus later sent Solon to study in school on Earth, in order to learn more about humans, thereby making it easier to conquer them. {{storylink|Leozack Rumbles Violently!}} While Solon was on Earth, he and Jean were approached by former Autobot human allies [[Shūta Gō]] and [[Cab]], {{storylink|Warrior of Love, Star Saber!}} and with Jean, they formed the "Autobot Boy Team" known as the [[Victories]]. Seeking to counter this group with a team of his own, Deathsaurus had [[Yokuryū]] capture Jean and bring him to the ''Thunder Arrow'', where he attempted to bribe the boy into joining the Decepticons' group with toys, Famicom, candy and cash. When an enraged Star Saber soon came tearing into the ''Thunder Arrow'', Deathsaurus crossed swords with the Autobot leader, but was then distracted by Jean distracting who exploited the Decepticon's bizarre fear of caterpillars by dangling one in his face. The cowering Deathsaurus was promptly bested in dramatically explosive fashion by Star Saber's "Planetary Impulse Sword" technique, and realised with hindsight that Solon was the only kid he needed. {{storylink|Watch Out, Jean! Hurry, Star Saber!}} Deathsaurus was apparently left so badly injured by this clash that he couldn't participate in the next battle, given that he was only seen lying in bed, coughing, with Solon resting a giant ice-pack on his head. {{storylink|The Star of Friendship, Jean and Star Saber!}}

Rested and healthy again, Deathsaururs joined with [[Dinoking]] and Liokaiser in going up against Star Saber together, and perhaps not entirely surprisingly, the badly outnumbered Autobot was defeated by the three Decepticons. Before they could deliver the killing stroke, however, Star Saber was saved by the sudden arrival of Victory Leo, with whom he combined to form Victory Saber. The merged pair defeated the trio of Decepticons in one blast of their "Flash Victory" attack. {{storylink|The Strongest Partners, the Combination of Victory!}} Deathsaurus immediately sought out away to combat Star Saber's new power, and developed a Transformer-sized mech for Solon named "King Solon," with which he could combine to form "King Zaras". In this new form, Deathsaurus battled Victory Saber on the planet [[Guard]], with neither combatant getting the upper hand in other three hours of fighting. When [[Patty Minakaze]]'s mentioned the word "mother", however, something of Solon's past was stirred in the boy's mind, and he was distracted long enough for Victory Saber to destroy the King Solon mech components with his Victory. The burning Solon tumbled to the ground, where Patty tended his wounds despite his protestations. Perhaps wary of Solon's confused emotional state, Deathsaurus reminded him that while he was a human child, he was a Decepticon's son by fate. {{storylink|Mighty! Victory Saber}}

As it turned out, Deathsaurus was right to be wary—in the midst of a later battle with Star Saber and Road Caesar, Solon turned against Deathsaurus and sided with the Victories, opening fire on his "father" and declaring that he would fight to protect the Earth, instead of destroy it. Now with Solon on their side, the Victories were able to channel their power into the Autobots, and the Decepticons were sent fleeing by the "Five Stars of Victory" attack. {{storylink|Shine! The Five Stars of Victory}} Deathsaurus led the Decepticons back to the Space Stronghold and began bombarding the Earth with meteor bombs, prompting the Autobots to attack it. Deathsaurus left the Breastforce to man the fortress while he engaged Star Saber in a final battle in the void of space, but had not reckoned with the treachery of Leozack, who fired on his emperor with the fortress's main cannon. To save himself, Deathsaurus was forced to return fire on the fortress, and Star Saber followed suite, smashing into the fortress's control chamber and taking Leozack down. As Leozack begged the Autobots not to destroy the fortress, the wounded Deathsaurus arrived and revealed to the Autobots the presence of the Decepticons' families aboard the vessel. Realizing that the Decepticons' had only done what they had in the name of their families' safety, Star Saber decided that it was time for the two leaders to follow the example set by their sons and lay down their arms. Deathsaurus and Star Saber shook hands, and the war came to an end, bringing peace to everyone—the truest victory of all! {{storylink|Heroic! The Victory War}}

Out of ammo, the Autobots started throwing things at Deathsaurus, including a [[Blackball]]! Gloating, Deathsaurus began to plan his conquest of the galaxy, only to become so annoyed at the rocks bouncing off his head that in frustration he threw the Blackball at the Autobots. {{storylink|Transformer PD Type##4 "Good Job! Deathsaurus!!"|Good Job! Deathsaurus!!}} Right when Star Saber was ready to finish him, Deathsaurus brought in Liokaiser. Deathsaurus was an ancient Transformer from Cybertron's lost past. While searching for clues about the planet's history, Megatron stumbled across a hidden chamber beneath the planet's surface containing two massive statues of Deathsaurus and [[Dai Atlas (Zone)|Dai Atlas]], holding a [[Golden Disk (ancient)|golden disk]] between them. This chamber apparently told of a vast Cybertronian Empire that ended prior to recorded history. {{storylink|The Route of All Evil}}

Using a clone lab on [[Ceti Alpha Seven]], Deathsaurus wished to revive the fading [[Decepticon Empire]] with a vast [[Insecticon (G1)|Insecticon]] army. After the first batch of [[Virulent Clone|clones]] was completed, his operation was interrupted by a team of [[Autobot]] commandos under the command of [[Ironhide (G1)|Ironhide]]. Deathsaurus overpowered and captured the first wave himself, and soon faced Ironhide one-on-one, while [[Ratchet (G1)|Ratchet]] attempted to rescue the fallen Autobots. Due to the assistance of Tripredacus Agent [[Flamewar]], these two were defeated and captured as well.

They woke up bound inside Deathsaurus's clone lab. The Emperor of Destruction appeared on a television screen, declaring that his use for the lab was completed and was prepared to detonate it remotely with the Autobots inside. Unfortunately for Deathsaurus, the Autobot espionage agent [[Ricochet (Descent into Evil)|Ricochet]] not only freed the Autobots before the explosion occurred, but also seeded the remaining clones with a virus, leaving Deathsaurus with nothing to show for his work. {{storylink|Descent into Evil}}

Years later, towards the end of the Great War, the [[Predacon (BW)|Predacon]] [[Cryotek (RID)|Cryotek]] worked under Deathsaurus as a supply manager. While the [[Multiforce]] and [[Rescue Patrol Team|Rescue Team]] head to the airport, the injured Star Saber is forced to enter the battle at the solar base with [[Laster]] and [[Braver]], despite being barely able to stand. After Star Saber departs, the recuperating Blacker decides to go into action alongside the Multiforce and Rescues.

Meanwhile, in the [[Shuttle Base]]'s intensive care room, expert Autobot scientists and medics [[Perceptor (G1)|Perceptor]], [[Wheeljack (G1)|Wheeljack]] and [[Minerva]] have been called in to tend to God Ginrai, who has been paralyzed from the neck down. Hallucinating, he recalls the time that Star Saber told him he had been offered the role of [[Supreme Commander]], and his vow to help his friend out, even at the cost of his life.

Blacker attempts to transform in mid-air, but his injuries prevent him and he crash-lands roughly. [[Pīpō]] attempts to administer first aid, but Blacker refuses, and the battle begins to rage.

At the solar power station, [[Deathsaurus (Victory)|Deathsaurus]] and [[Leozack]] watch as copious amounts of energy are loaded into the ''[[Thunder Arrow]]''. Star Saber, Laster and Braver soon come soaring into view, but as soon as they hit the ground, Star Saber buckles and collapses, and the two [[Brainmaster|Brainmasters]] have to shield him from [[Breastforce]] fire. Determined to stop Deathsaurus, Star Saber struggles on.

Back in the Shuttle Base, a regretful Perceptor informs God Ginrai that there is nothing they can do for him. However, the scientist explains that despite the irreparable damage to his body, his internal systems are functional and could be transplanted into a new body, but that he would no longer truly be "God Ginrai" if this process were to be performed. God Ginrai is at first complacent in his situation, and willing to die without regret, but when he asks for a further explanation, Perceptor suddenly back-pedals and tells him to forget it. Before Perceptor can stop him, Wheeljack blurts out that there is a pre-existing design that they can use to reconstruct his body. Perceptor silences him before he can say any more, but Ginrai now demands to know the full story.

As the battle continues to rage at the solar power station, Deathsaurus again unleashes his [[Living-Metal-Destroying Cannon]] against the weakened Star Saber. In the midst of the fight, [[Jean Minakaze|Jean]] contacts Star Saber to let him know that Ginrai wishes to speak with him right away. Although fearing the worst, Star Saber is unwilling to leave the battlefield until Braver tells him to go, realizing that Ginrai would not make such a request of the Supreme Commander unless he had to. Star Saber speeds back to the Shuttle Base, where he is enraged to discover that Perceptor and Wheeljack have told Ginrai about a design he created for a personal power-enhancement system. Ginrai requests that Star Saber permit his body to be reconstructed according to this design, but Star Saber is appalled, wholly unwilling to use his friend's body in such a manner. Both Star Saber and Jean try to change Ginrai's mind, knowing that the process first requires the cessation of his life functions, and that his subsequent rebirth will mean that disappearance of the being they know, but the [[Godmaster]] is resolute.

Back on the two battlefields, things are not going well for the Autobots. At the airport, the Dinoforce escape with energy in tow, leaving Blacker and the Multiforce badly injured. At the solar base, Laster and Braver have likewise been bested, and Deathsaurus cackles over his victory as the ''Thunder Arrow'' departs with a full load of energy. The wounded Autobots limp back to the Shuttle Base, arriving just in time to witness the beginning of God Ginrai's reconstruction. As the Godmaster's body is lowered into a recessed chamber and a transparent shield lowers into place above him, Jean bangs his fists on the shield and cries out to Ginrai. Minerva is forced to lift him to safety, and the fatal switch is thrown, as the process begins, and God Ginrai… dies...

On [[Earth]], [[Star Saber (Victory)|Star Saber]] has already deduced that this is the villain's plan, and dispatches the [[Brainmaster]]s as an advance unit to chase down and stop the [[Decepticon|Decepticons]] from reaching the Dark Nebula. He contacts [[Greatshot]] in Sector Two, and requests that he join up with the Brainmasters aboard [[Galaxy Shuttle]] en route.

Meanwhile, on a beach nearby, the poor [[Dinoforce]] have been washed up on the shore after being left behind by Deathsaurus. [[Gōryū]] is insistent, however, that their emperor will be back for them soon enough, and [[Kakuryū]] is happy to get a short vacation. Gōryū is of the mind that warriors don't ''get'' vacations, so when [[Yokuryū]] returns to report the presence of an energy-filled shuttleport nearby, the team heads out to raid it.

Out in the depths of space, the ''Thunder Arrow'' enters the Dark Nebula and flies into the dormant husk of Deathsaurus's fortress, initiating the transfer of Atlantis's energy into its systems. As the Breastforce watch, the fortress slowly comes to life, shifting and moving until it is, at long last, fully re-energized. The Decepticons board the mammoth craft, and when Deathsaurus gives the order, it begins to move... towards Earth.

Back on Earth, Star Saber and [[Victory Leo]] are about to depart to join the Brainmasters in space when the report of the Dinoforce's attack on the shuttleport comes in. With their forces spread thin, the two mighty Autobots have no choice but to respond to the threat, and engage [[Dinoking]] in battle.

On the fringes of the Dark Nebula, the Brainmasters exit Galaxy Shuttle and combine into [[Road Caesar]] to investigate further, only to narrowly avoid a beam from Deathsaurus's fortress as it emerges from the nebula. Greatshot arrives in time to back them up, but they are unable to stop a hail of meteor bombs launching from the fortress and heading straight for Earth. Even the Autobots on the plant itself are powerless to stop the meteors from impacting, and widespread devastation across the face of the planet results. Star Saber spots a meteor hurtling down above him and Victory Leo, and call off their battle with Dinoking so that they can retreat to the safety of the Shuttle Base. Dinoking, unfortunately, takes the full brunt of the subsequent explosion and splits back into the Dinoforce, who blame the Autobots for dropping the bomb. Star Saber informs Gōryū that the meteors are the work of Deathsaurus, but he refuses to believe that his leader would threaten the Earth with the Dinoforce still on it. The truth of the Autobots' words strikes home, however, and Gōryū realizes that they have been abandoned. As Star Saber and Victory Leo depart for space, [[Pīpō]] attempts to treat Gōryū's wounds, but he refuses aid from an Autobot until he passes out, allowing Pīpō to tend to him.

[[Jean Minakaze|Jean]], meanwhile, has strapped a set of boosters to the ''[[Illumina II]]'' and flies off to [[Schwimmbad School|his school]], fearing for the safety of his friends. He makes a rough landing on the campus, but all his friends emerge unharmed from the school building, and he assures them that Star Saber will save the day.

Out in space, Road Caesar and Greatshot's failure to stop the meteor bombs in flight prompts them to try attacking the launch bay instead. Thankfully, the approaching Star Saber and Victory Leo are able to destroy the remaining bombs as they fly towards Earth, and they just manage to arrive in time to save Greatshot and Road Caesar from death at the hands of the fortress's beam cannons. After Star Saber orders the two Autobots to retreat to Earth, he and Victory Leo are attacked by [[Liokaiser]], but quickly merge into Victory Saber and blast him back into the fortress with one shot. Deathsaurus mutters that it would have been nice to torture Victory Saber a little more, but decides to simply end it now, and promptly strikes the Autobot with a single, powerful beam from his fortress. Victory Saber howls in pain, and is sent spiralling off into space.

Now, with no-one to stand in his way, Deathsaurus's fortress draws closer to Earth with each passing moment...

In the present day, a boy named [[Rad White|Rad]] narrates, introducing himself and his friend [[Carlos Lopez|Carlos]]. They race to school (Rad wins) and meet a schoolmate named [[Alexis]]. Rad asks her if she wants to come with them to explore a cave, but she rejects him. They then meet and argue with two boys named [[Billy (Armada)|Billy]] and [[Fred (Armada)|Fred]]. They then head to class for the day. So far, an ordinary day...

After school Rad and Carlos race up the mountain to the cave. Billy and Fred follow them using a locator stuck to Rad's bike. The boys head into the cave, using a rope, and a trail of rocks to mark their path. Billy and Fred follow them at a distance, and accidentally destroy part of the trail; soon they are lost, having been scared by some bats.

While advancing deep into the cave, Carlos treads on a stone plate by accident. It begins to rapidly slide downwards, with the boys riding on top. At the bottom, the boys find themselves in a strange artificial building of an unknown purpose. There they discover a glowing green stone, in reality a [[Mini-Con storage panel]], and Rad picks it up. This activates a beacon, which causes an earthquake.

Alexis notices the earthquake and heads off to investigate the cave. The beacon disables the Space Research Center's computers. Then the beacon is shown firing out of the cave, in three parts, one red, one purple and one green. The green part of it activates the spaceship wreckage on the Moon, causing Mini-Con panels across earth to activate. The other two portions of the beacon alert the Autobots and Decepticons on Cybertron to the location of the Mini-Cons. The best warriors of the opposing sides teleport to Earth to seek the Mini-Cons.

Back on Earth the earthquake is over. Rad and Carlos exit the cave safe and sound. Suddenly they see a strange purple halo in the sky. Then the warp gate open with an immense robot inside. This is [[Megatron (Armada)|Megatron]]. In this moment Alexis shows up and tells the boys not to panic, but it is too hard for them… When Megatron moves towards Rad, the boy drops the panel; it activates, and [[High Wire (Armada)|High Wire]] emerges. High Wire scans Rad's bike and reformats himself so he can transform into a bicycle. The three kids ride High Wire to try and escape Megatron. But Megatron flicks a boulder at them which knocks them off the Mini-Con. Megatron blocks their path, claiming High Wire belongs to him, and demanding they return High Wire to him. But suddenly [[Optimus Prime (Armada)|another giant robot]] teleports in and the two giants square off to battle.

==Synopsis==

[[T-AI]] believes if she merges with the [[O-Part|O-Parts]], she will be able to extract the information they need. Though [[Optimus Prime (RID)|Optimus]] expresses his concerns, they go ahead, and the O-Parts form into a glowing sphere. T-AI is able to report the sphere is the key to the [[Orb of Sigma]], which is hidden in the [[Sahara Desert]], but finds herself unable to extract herself. She suggests that if the sphere is taken to the Orb of Sigma they might be able to get her out. Optimus and the [[Autobot Brothers]] head for [[Egypt]], with [[Koji Onishi|Koji]] hitching a ride with [[Side Burn (RID)|Side Burn]].

The group makes their way through the desert, with [[X-Brawn]] taking a minor detour to rescue [[Kelly (RID)|Kelly]] and drop her off at an oasis. The Autobots are being tracked from space by [[Movor]], who reports to the [[Megastar]]. Although [[Sky-Byte (RID)|Sky-Byte]] and [[Scourge (RID)|Scourge]] both ask to lead the mission, [[Megatron (RID)|Megatron]] insists he'll lead, feeling some great destiny awaits him.

Optimus is unimpressed that Koji has tagged along, and leaves him in Side Burn's care. He, X-Brawn and [[Prowl (RID)|Prowl]] enter a tunnel under the ruins, finding a huge door which opens when he holds up the key sphere. On the surface, the Predacons and Decepticons arrive and attack Side Burn until the ground collapses and he and Koji fall into the hole.

Optimus's group has located a [[pyramid]] and they ride a moving platform to the top, where the Orb of Sigma sits on a pedestal. The key sphere floats over and begins to merge with it—T-AI tells the Autobots that they need to get the Orb back to base, and then they lose all contact with her. Unfortunately, before they can grab the Orb, the Predacons and Decepticons arrive.

The brothers super-charge and begin throwing the Decepticons about, but Megatron kicks Optimus over the side of the pyramid and grabs the Orb. As he does so, its pedestal lowers into the ground and he is seized by powerful lightning. The ground begins to shake as the whole cavern begins to collapse. Side Burn and Koji finally arrive, with the Autobot snatching the Orb of Sigma right out of Megatron's hand and high-tailing it back towards the surface. Sky-Byte and the Decepticons pursue (with ''everyone'' running over Sky-Byte in the process) but are hampered by the other two brothers and [[Ultra Magnus (RID)|Ultra Magnus]]. Scourge calls a general retreat, with the Decepticons ignoring despite Sky-Byte as he points out Megatron is still in danger.

Megatron and Optimus both burst out of the ground, locked in combat, and Ultra Magnus takes the opportunity to "lend a hand". [[Omega Prime]] and Megatron dive back into the ground, crash next to the pyramid, and unleash their strongest attacks. A massive explosion tears through the sand above... and only Omega Prime emerges.

The Autobots return to base with the Orb of Sigma, and manage to extract T-AI's program. She reports that the Orb shows the location of Cerebros, the key to Fortress Maximus, leaving the Autobots to wonder if that's a good thing or not.

Beneath the Sahara, the Predacon trio manage to dig themselves out of the rubble, finding the pyramid's energy still crackling away and Megatron nowhere to be seen. Suddenly, they find their power being drained out by an unknown force! The three of them collapse... as Megatron arises in a new form, crackling with energy, and declares himself to be ''Galvatron''!

==Synopsis==

[[T-AI]] believes if she merges with the [[O-Part|O-Parts]], she will be able to extract the information they need. Though [[Optimus Prime (RID)|Optimus]] expresses his concerns, they go ahead, and the O-Parts form into a glowing sphere. T-AI is able to report the sphere is the key to the [[Orb of Sigma]], which is hidden in the [[Sahara Desert]], but finds herself unable to extract herself. She suggests that if the sphere is taken to the Orb of Sigma they might be able to get her out. Optimus and the [[Autobot Brothers]] head for [[Egypt]], with [[Koji Onishi|Koji]] hitching a ride with [[Side Burn (RID)|Side Burn]].

The group makes their way through the desert, with [[X-Brawn]] taking a minor detour to rescue [[Kelly (RID)|Kelly]] and drop her off at an oasis. The Autobots are being tracked from space by [[Movor]], who reports to the [[Megastar]]. Although [[Sky-Byte (RID)|Sky-Byte]] and [[Scourge (RID)|Scourge]] both ask to lead the mission, [[Megatron (RID)|Megatron]] insists he'll lead, feeling some great destiny awaits him.

Optimus is unimpressed that Koji has tagged along, and leaves him in Side Burn's care. He, X-Brawn and [[Prowl (RID)|Prowl]] enter a tunnel under the ruins, finding a huge door which opens when he holds up the key sphere. On the surface, the Predacons and Decepticons arrive and attack Side Burn until the ground collapses and he and Koji fall into the hole.

Optimus's group has located a [[pyramid]] and they ride a moving platform to the top, where the Orb of Sigma sits on a pedestal. The key sphere floats over and begins to merge with it—T-AI tells the Autobots that they need to get the Orb back to base, and then they lose all contact with her. Unfortunately, before they can grab the Orb, the Predacons and Decepticons arrive.

The brothers super-charge and begin throwing the Decepticons about, but Megatron kicks Optimus over the side of the pyramid and grabs the Orb. As he does so, its pedestal lowers into the ground and he is seized by powerful lightning. The ground begins to shake as the whole cavern begins to collapse. Side Burn and Koji finally arrive, with the Autobot snatching the Orb of Sigma right out of Megatron's hand and high-tailing it back towards the surface. Sky-Byte and the Decepticons pursue (with ''everyone'' running over Sky-Byte in the process) but are hampered by the other two brothers and [[Ultra Magnus (RID)|Ultra Magnus]]. Scourge calls a general retreat, with the Decepticons ignoring despite Sky-Byte as he points out Megatron is still in danger.

Megatron and Optimus both burst out of the ground, locked in combat, and Ultra Magnus takes the opportunity to "lend a hand". [[Omega Prime]] and Megatron dive back into the ground, crash next to the pyramid, and unleash their strongest attacks. A massive explosion tears through the sand above... and only Omega Prime emerges.

The Autobots return to base with the Orb of Sigma, and manage to extract T-AI's program. She reports that the Orb shows the location of Cerebros, the key to Fortress Maximus, leaving the Autobots to wonder if that's a good thing or not.

Beneath the Sahara, the Predacon trio manage to dig themselves out of the rubble, finding the pyramid's energy still crackling away and Megatron nowhere to be seen. Suddenly, they find their power being drained out by an unknown force! The three of them collapse... as Megatron arises in a new form, crackling with energy, and declares himself to be ''Galvatron''!

[[Optimus Prime (RID)|Optimus]] is disappointed to find that [[Ultra Magnus (RID)|Ultra Magnus]] is holding onto his old grudge and attempts to retreat, letting Magnus know he won't fight even as the other Autobot opens fire.

Back at base [[Koji Onishi|Koji]] is concerned. The [[Autobot Brothers|Autobot brothers]] leave to try to rescue Optimus, pondering why he's refusing to fight Magnus.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the battle is not going well for Optimus—Magnus blasts the ground out from under him, and Optimus falls into a chasm. [[Movor]], spying on the fight from space, transmits footage to the [[Megastar]] on Easter Island, where [[Megatron (RID)|Megatron]] watches with amusement. He wonders aloud why his Decepticons have so much trouble defeating Optimus when Magnus appears to have managed it with ease, and decides to sit back and watch the pair destroy each other.

Meanwhile, [[Sky-Byte (RID)|Sky-Byte]], having been fruitless in his search for the [[O-Part|O-Parts]], stumbles on the battle and watches in amazement as Optimus lays defeated at Magnus' feet. Magnus tells the fallen leader he has one cycle to hand over the Matrix, however before he can inflict futher damage on the Autobot leader, the Autobot brothers arrive. [[Side Burn (RID)|Side Burn]] is spoiling for a fight and [[Prowl (RID)|Prowl]] reminds him they're there only to rescue Optimus. The trio retreat with their leader, but not before Sky-Byte is able to tag him with a tracking device. Furious, Magnus is too late to stop them leaving, slamming into the cliff wall as the space bridge portal closes and burying himself temporarily in rock.

Sky-Byte follows the signal from his tracking device, musing that if he defeats Optimus, it'll make Megatron happy. After a short panic attack due to losing the trace, he flies on in the belief he'll eventually find Optimus, unaware he's being tracked by both Movor and Ultra Magnus. The shark soon closes in on an island which causes his memory banks to replay images from [[Landfill (RID)|Landfill]] and [[Ruination (RID)|Ruination]]'s recent battle. As it turns out, Optimus has indeed retreated to the island to recover from his fight with Magnus.

As Side Burn enjoys an oil bath, Optimus admits that Ultra Magnus is his brother, and is carrying a grudge because Optimus was chosen as commander of the Autobots over him. Although Side Burn expresses concern, Optimus asks for some time alone, and Side Burn departs through the space bridge. Sky-Byte, having reached the island at last, promptly seals the portal to the space bridge with a number of large boulders and happily announces that he'll be able to fight and defeat Prime without interference. His joy is shortlived, as Megatron and the Decepticons hove into view over the water and confront Optimus. Before the Decepticons can fire, Ultra Magnus arrives and starts knocking them about like skittles. Ruination is formed, and he and Megatron ignite the oil deposits, turning the island into an inferno.

Alarmed, Koji and [[T-AI]] contact the Autobot brothers, who've discovered that the end of the space bridge has been sealed and are working to clear the blockage.

As Megatron gloats, Magnus tells Optimus he wants to make amends, however it's a trap—Magnus uses the opening to try to steal Optimus' power. The two Autobots combine into a new form: [[Omega Prime]]. While the Decepticons are standing stunned at this turn of events, the Autobot brothers finally break through the rocks blocking the space bridge and are similarly surprised to see what's happened. The biggest surprise is on Magnus—he soon finds he doesn't have any control over the combined form, and is unable to do anything as Omega Prime makes short work of Megatron and his Decepticons. Megatron calls a retreat, and Sky-Byte flees after them.

Optimus Prime watches regretfully as his brother flies off.

Whereas ''The Headmasters'' had featured the existing cast of the American animated series, and gradually introduced new characters as it progressed, ''Super-God Masterforce'' was, on the surface, almost entirely divorced from what had gone before, featuring only a cast of entirely new characters in a new scenario. Although links between ''Masterforce'' and the events and characters of ''The Headmasters'' were expanded upon in various other media and articles, the series itself is remarkably self-contained, to the point of frustration, with many important background aspects not fully divulged in the course of the broadcast series.

There is a very human-centric focus in ''Masterforce'', with the basic theme of the series being that "with the Masterforce, you too transform"—that human beings are to be responsible for the defence of their own planet. For some inexplicable reason, this was the first Transformers cartoon to be shown in Russia, followed by the other Japanese cartoons (in the wrong order), which left many Russian children very confused as far as continuity goes.

==Storyline==
After the events of ''The Headmasters'', the [[Earth]] has been free of [[Transformer]]s for several years, until the emergence of the [[Decepticon]] [[Pretender]]s. This group of villains were pursued to Earth during the Stone Age by a group of Autobots led by [[Metalhawk]], and when both teams crash-landed on the planet, they used their special "Pretender" powers to adopt new disguises. Metalhawk and his Autobots took on the forms of human beings and began to live among the burgeoning humanity, guiding the evolution of their culture and society, while the Decepticons became monstrous creatures and tormented early man as "demons." Eventually, the Autobot Pretenders defeated the Decepticons and sealed them away, but as the series begins, they have been liberated from their prisons by the evil alien energy-being, [[Devil Z]], to play a role in his schemes.

With the return of the Decepticons, the Autobot Pretenders are forced to drop their disguises and take up arms once again, gaining allies in three young human children ([[Shūta Gō]], [[Cab]] and [[Minerva]]) who are imbued with the power of the "Masterforce" and bond with three Transtectors sent to Earth from the planet [[Master (planet)|Master]]. The Decepticons recruit their own Headmasters Juniors as well, and as the battles on Earth progress, the true objective of Devil Z's plan comes to light. The arrival of [[Mega]], [[Giga]], [[Buster (Masterforce)|Buster]] and [[Hydra (Masterforce)|Hydra]] heralds the quest for the "[[Godmaster]]s"—super-powerful lifeforms that are the perfect fusion of human and Transformer, able to manipulate [[Chōkon Power]]. With these four warriors on the side of the Decepticons, the Autobots must find Godmasters of their own, and succeed when they are joined by a young trucker named [[Ginrai]], who soon recruits three more Autobot Godmasters.

Incensed by this failure, Devil Z ups his plans by summoning [[Scorponok (G1)|BlackZarak]] (the newest incarnation of Decepticon leader Scorponok, who is busy leading the Decepticons against the Autobots out in space) to Earth. Discovering his plan, [[Grand Maximus]] races to Earth to inform the Autobots of BlackZarak's approach. Our heroes create [[Godbomber]], a drone that serves as an upgrade for Ginrai, enabling him to transform into "God Ginrai" and fight in space, allowing him to beat BlackZarak back.

The Autobot suffer a grave loss when the final Godmaster, [[Clouder|Doubleclouder]], is discovered and sides with the Decepticons, using his ability to adopt two robot forms to infiltrate the Autobots and destroy their headquarters. Without a base of operations, the Autobots are at a disadvantage when BlackZarak returns and merges with Devil Z to bring about the destruction of Mankind. As characters lose their humanity, change their alliances, and engage in final battles, everything comes down to a climactic duel between God Ginrai and BlackZarak atop the Matterhorn, where the Autobot hero must beat his opponent, or all life on Earth will be forfeit.

He carries Rapid Run's shield/launcher as well as a large cannon formed from both Railspike and Midnight Express' weapons. Rail Racer (or rather, JRX) could be assembled by buying the three individual Bullet Trains, though all three members of Team Bullet Train were also available in a complete box set in Japan.

''Car Robots'', the original Japanese series from which it was adapted, premiered in Japan in 2000. Originally the series was not going to be imported from Japan, but when Hasbro scrapped the planned ''[[Transtech]]'' line at the eleventh hour the ''Car Robots'' line and its attendant cartoon were imported to fill the void until a new replacement could be designed.

''Robots in Disguise'' was produced and dubbed by [[Saban Entertainment]], and aired from September 2001 to March 2002. It was something of a return to roots for Transformers fiction, in the sense that many characters transformed into realistic, modern Earth vehicles instead of animals or abstract/futuristic vehicles, as was standard in the [[Beast Era]]. It also marked the return of the [[Autobot]] faction and sigil for the good guys. (The villains, initially, remained [[Predacon (RID)|Predacons]], though the [[Decepticon]]s are eventually added to their ranks as well, as a sub-group.)

Animation in the series was cel-based, moving away from the CGI that had been a hallmark of Transformers television series in the US since 1996. It features many standard anime light-comedy stylings, and is replete with overdone facial expressions, comic effects like sweat drops surrounding a character's head to signify confusion or consternation, and the traditional streaked background behind the character for high-action shots or [[stock footage]] transformation/attack sequences.

Takara at the time tended to aim their Transformers line and its fiction at younger audiences than Hasbro, resulting in a more light-hearted, comedic tone overall. Storylines were typically light or goofy and sometimes relied on bad jokes, absurd imagery and slapstick. Many fans appreciated the series' humorous approach, and others did not, but comic foil [[Sky-Byte (RID)|Sky-Byte]] became a fan-favorite character.

Most of the voice actors, though veterans of other Saban properties (basically, ''everyone'' from ''Digimon''), had never worked on a Transformers series before--with the conspicuous exception of [[Michael McConnohie]], one of the series voice directors and himself the voice of [[Hot Shot (RID)|Hot Shot]]; McConnohie had provided voice talent for [[Cosmos (G1)|Cosmos]] and [[Tracks (G1)|Tracks]] in the original ''The Transformers'' cartoon.

All 39 episodes were scheduled to run during the afternoon Fox Kids programming block on the Fox television network. The third episode, "[[Bullet Train to the Rescue]]", was scheduled to air on [[September 11]], 2001, but was preempted in most areas because of the terrorist attacks in America that day. Areas where "[[Fox Kids]]" was aired on a secondary station (like KDFI 27 in Dallas/Fort Worth, TX) aired the episode that day. Later episodes were re-edited to remove scenes that might be jarring to a newly sensitive viewing public, causing these episodes to air out-of-order. Other episodes were cut entirely and were not seen in the US. Disney now owns the cartoon through their acquisition of Saban.

== Premise ==
The Predacons attack (a just-slightly futuristic) Earth and kidnap a famous scientist. The Autobots, who'd already established themselves in secret on Earth are ready for them and together with the scientist's son, [[Koji Onishi|Koji]], fight to stop the Predacons from finding the ancient hidden secret they've come to Earth to claim.

The ''Robots in Disguise'' cartoon was the first total reboot of Transformers fiction. As the first official material not set in any Generation 1 universe it established the first alternate continuity family in the line's history. Many episodes of ''Robots in Disguise'' featured references to characters and events from earlier ''Transformers'' series. These were typically not written by the dub team but, rather, were added by Hasbro employee [[Andrew Frankel]] after the scripts were submitted to the company for broadcast approval. These "easter egg" continuity references lead some fans to speculate on possible connections between the ''Robots in Disguise'' universe and previous franchises; but this died down as the series progressed, as the fact remains that despite these easter egg references, much of the ''Robots in Disguise'''s story is too different from any existing Generation 1 universe for it to fit well together.

The first ''Car Robots'' toy catalog established Optimus Prime/Fire Convoy's crew as a "Dimensional Patrol" that followed the Predacons/Destrongers from another dimension to 21st-century Earth. This concept does not seem to have been played up in the Japanese version of the show — if it was mentioned at all — to the point that ''Robots in Disguise'' was able to dub entirely around it.

Things got more complicated in 2006, however, when a [[retcon]] performed by [[TakaraTomy]] through online timelines and flowcharts, and [[Generation 1 cartoon timeline (Japan)|more detailed printed material]] from the [[Kiss Players (franchise)|''Kiss Players'' franchise]], retroactively established ''Car Robots'' as part of the Japanese Generation 1 animated continuity, occurring in the year 2000. Broadly speaking, this was accomplished by exploiting the somewhat-unresolved ending of the obscure manga, ''[[The Stargate Battles]]'', which had ended with the majority of Transformers on Earth disappearing for some time, thereby allowing ''Car Robots'' to slip in with minimal opposition. Most connections between ''Car Robots'' and other aspects of the fiction center on [[Fortress Maximus (RID)|Fortress Maximus]], who was tied into important events from ''[[Robot Masters]]'', ''[[Kiss Players (franchise)|Kiss Players]]'' and ''[[The Headmasters (franchise)|The Headmasters]]''.

''Robots in Disguise'', mind you, remains unconnected to the Western Generation 1 universe, and is still a separate continuity family there. And that's despite the fact RID contains more references to the Generation 1 universe than the original (and now in G1 continuity) ''Car Robots'' show because of the aforementioned easter eggs. Leozack despises being anything less than the top 'bot and is constantly struggling to have it all—including leadership of the Decepticons. Unlike [[Starscream (G1)|those that have come before]], however, Leozack is smart enough to keep his ambitions hidden from his emperor, preferring to gather the resources and power necessary to fuel his dreams of conquest in secret. The thing is, Deathsaurus is fully aware of Leozack's dreams and schemes, and to say that he doesn't rate Leozack as a threat would be putting it mildly. In Deathsaurus's eyes, Leozack is an overzealous youth with ideas above his station, and while he conceals his awareness of Leozack's treachery from him, he never misses a chance to make his contempt for Leozack well-known. This drives Leozack absolutely crazy, and he often takes irrational risks trying to prove to Deathsaurus that he is a capable warrior.

As a member of the Breastforce, Leozack is partnered with a transforming breastplate which can detach and transform into his [[Breast Animal]] partner, the [[Lionbreast]], or the handheld "Leo Cannon". Leozack was put in charge of the first plan, which involved the [[Dinoforce]] attacking the [[Autobot]]s' base while Leozack himself intended to confront [[Star Saber (Victory)|Star Saber]]. The Dinoforce went about their task and drew Star Saber out, and both Leozack and Deathsaurus, watching the conflict from afar on the ''[[Thunder Arrow]]'', were taken aback to see the Autobot leader piloting the [[V-Star]] battlecraft, which they had never seen before. Leozack was about to head out to battle Star Saber, but Deathsaurus suggested he hold back and observe this new turn of events instead. The ''Thunder Arrow'' subsequently set down on Earth, and Leozack vowed to end Star Saber's life as a gift to Deathsaurus. He attacked Star Saber when the Autobot leader was bringing his human son [[Jean Minakaze|Jean]] to school, putting the whole campus in danger. Leozack grappled with Star Saber, but with his Lionbreast busy fighting [[Holi]], his torso was left unprotected, leaving him open to a damaging slash from Star Saber's Saber Blade, which forced him to retreat. {{storylink|Attack! Leozack was soon joined by his Breastforce teammates [[Drillhorn]], [[Jarugar]] and [[Killbison]], and together, they arranged an attack on an energy plant in the desert. The Breastforce hid themselves in the sand and watched as the Dinoforce carried out the attack, but when the Autobot [[Landcross (Victory)|Landcross]] arrived, they emerged to join the battle. With his next plan, Leozack began showing his true colors. Recruiting the Dinoforce to help him, Leozack had them attack the [[Ocean Exhibition]] amusement park, with the intention of turning it into a personal base for himself. He even revealed his ambition to overthrow Deathsaurus to [[Gōryū]], and while the Dinoforce leader was not particularly impressed, he decided to go along with the stunt anyway. Unsurprisingly, the Autobots soon arrived, and Leozack was defeated by Star Saber, after which he attempted to bluff his way out of trouble by telling Deathsaurus that he had intended to turn the park into a seawater energy conversion plant. {{storylink|Move Out! After leading an infiltration of the Neo Uranium Mines {{storylink|Infiltration... The Uranium Mine}} and helping to gather energy in the Amazon, {{storylink|Explosion!! The Energy Base}} Leozack joined the other Decepticons in stealing energy from an American subway system. The plan was Deathsaurus's own, and Leozack advocated caution, but when Deathsaurus embarrassed him into silence in front of the other Decepticons, he was left in a bad mood for the whole mission. Consequently, Leozack decided to disobey orders and blast the subway tunnels open so they could access the electrical systems more easily. This, of course, attracted the attention of the Autobots, and Leozack wound up battling [[Blacker]] in the cramped underground quarters. When Deathsaurus called retreat, Leozack was unwilling to break off the fight, but when all the other Decepticons abandoned him, he had little choice. {{storylink|Big City - Underground Terror}}

Hoping to redeem himself for past failures, Leozack summoned another of his Breastforce teammates, [[Hellbat]], to Earth to steal information from the New Energy Resource Research and Development Laboratory in Japan. Unfortunately, Hellbat botched the job, leading to another battle with the Autobots. The Decepticons were defeated by a brainwave scrambler invented by [[Braver]], which Leozack was able to steal as he retreated. Alas, the scrambler only worked on Decepticons, and the dressing-down that Leozack received from Deathsaurus only convinced Hellbat that he could do a better job of leading the Breastforce himself. {{storylink|The New Warrior - Hellbat}} Hellbat proceeded to go over Leozack's head with information he had about an energy shipment being transported in Nevada. Leozack was naturally furious, but Hellbat’s honeyed words convinced Leozack to carry out the attack with him so they could steal the energy for their own personal supply. Following a scheme to create an energy alloy, {{storylink|A Fierce Battle!! The Asteroid}} Leozack took the Breastforce to the planet [[Micro]], intending to free another of their comrades, [[Gaihawk]], from the Satellite Penitentiary on the planet's moon. Following the success of this mission, {{storylink|Rescue! Gaihawk}} Leozack sought to complete the team by summoning the final member, [[Deathcobra (Victory)|Deathcobra]], to join them. With Deathcobra on the team, Leozack could finally boot out the untrustworthy Hellbat, and the remaining six members could merge into their combined form of [[Liokaiser]]. Learning of this, Hellbat tried to stop Deathcobra from meeting with the others and accidentally wound up killing him in the fight that ensued. He preventing Leozack from discovered this by blaming the Autobot [[Micromaster]] Holi for the deed, and so secured his place as part of Liokaiser. After defeating Star Saber in their first combined outing, {{storylink|Unite! Liokaiser}} Leozack led the team back to Earth, but still couldn't catch a break from Deathsaurus, who opted instead to heap praise on Gaihawk for his role in the battle, then on Hellbat, who had found a new target for the Decepticons in the [[Schaeffer Energy]] plant. Leozack and the Breastforce's next plan was one of their best, as they lured their Autobot rivals, the [[Brainmaster]]s, into an ambush in the desert. With the heavy automotive Autobots unable to manoeuvre in the shifting sands, the Breastforce were able to damage Blacker badly and deal a serious blow to the Autobots. {{storylink|Crisis! Ambush in the Desert}} With the Autobots weakened by this loss in manpower, Deathsaurus decided it was time to increase the rate of Decepticon attacks…but this was not a good thing for Leozack, since the first thing Deathsaurus did was set his Breast Animals upon the Breastforce leader, pinning him to the floor of the throne room. Placing his sword against Leozack's face, Deathsaurus informed Leozack that he had always been aware of his second-in-command's ambition to lead the Decepticons, and he offered the would-be traitor a choice: Swear absolute loyalty to him or die. When Star Saber was off-planet attending a [[Galactic Peace Alliance]] conference, Leozack exploited his absence by donning a large exo-skeleton that allowed him to pose as the Autobot leader. Entering the Autobots' headquarters with the claim that he had intercepted a Decepticon message reporting that bombs had been planted in the base, he searched for the disk containing the information on Star Saber and Victory Leo's combination process while the other Autobots were hunting for the nonexistent explosives. Leozack made Victory Leo suspicious when he accidentally electrocuted himself while rummaging under a console and had to trick Holi and Jean into showing him where the disk was. Leozack nearly got away with the disk, but at the last moment, the real Star Saber returned to expose the villain's deception and send him packing. {{storylink|A Mystery?! Hellbat chose that moment to pop up and deliver a secret message to Deathsaurus, which pushed Leozack to the end of his patience with his sneaky subordinate and led him to deliver a beating of his own. Leozack introduced himself to the Autobots when he embarked on a solo mission to Earth, believing that he could conquer the planet himself. His attack on a city did not go unnoticed by the Autobots, and when Star Saber arrived to stop him, Leozack was able to knock the [[Supreme Commander]] out of the air with his nunchaku. Unfortunately for Leozack, Star Saber's son Jean happened to be watching the battle, and noticed that Leozack was missing his breastplate—the Decepticon had accidentally forgotten to bring it with him! Later, Leozack and the other Breastforcers combined into Liokaiser to battle Star Saber on [[Energy Planet X]]. Consequently, Leozack decided to disobey orders and blast the subway tunnels open so they could access the electrical systems more easily. This, of course, attracted the attention of the Autobots, and Leozack wound up battling [[Blacker]] in the cramped underground quarters. With Deathcobra on the team, Leozack could finally boot out the untrustworthy Hellbat, and the remaining six members could merge into their combined form of [[Liokaiser]]. Learning of this, Hellbat tried to stop Deathcobra from meeting with the others and accidentally wound up killing him in the fight that ensued. He preventing Leozack from discovered this by blaming the Autobot [[Micromaster]] Holi for the deed, and so secured his place as part of Liokaiser. : A [[redeco]] of [[Energon (toyline)|''Energon'']] [[Starscream (Armada)|Starscream]], Leozack transforms into a jet fighter loosely based upon the F/A-22 Raptor, cast mostly in bright cyan plastics, with white and blue painted on top. He comes with two very large accessories, a sword and a non-firing blaster, which can combine to form a really larger sword and/or non-firing blaster. In jet mode he has two wing-mounted spring-loaded missile launchers, which can flip up over his robot-mode shoulders for "Hyper Mode".

:He was the "attendance freebie" at [[BotCon 2009]], given away one per attending pre-registrant. Additionally, two were given away per purchase of the [[BotCon 2005]] "[[Descent into Evil]]" box set. This offer was so popular that [[Fun Publications]] sold out of all of the "Descent into Evil" sets they had on-hand.

*According to the [[BotCon 2009]] fanclub fiction panel, the gist of Leozack's characterization in ''Wings of Honor'' came from the authors' desire to portray him as a stereotypical anime character; at one point, [[Rik Alvarez]] even wanted him to speak entirely in Japanese (!). Though nixed for logistical reasons, the basic idea survived in the form of Leozack's dialogue being rendered in a stylized Asiatic typeface.
