James Raiz is a Canadian comic book artist. Originally a background artist for Dreamwave, he moved on to full illustration duties when they acquired the Transformers license. Before and since Dreamwave folded, he has also provided Hasbro with packaging art, and currently does covers for IDW's Transformers books. His other work includes DC Comics' Birds of Prey and Wonder Woman, and Marvel Comics' Hulk. He also works in the special effects industry as a visual effects artist and matte painter.

Raiz would have done more work for Dreamwave but he gave up Armada for a planned Optimus Prime miniseries, which didn't happen, and was then put on the G1 ongoing, which was delayed by War and Peace. Unable to wait that long for another gig, he left Dreamwave to work for DC's Wildstorm imprint. He came back in 2004 to be offered the next Transformers: The War Within but by then it was too obvious that Dreamwave was strapped for cash, so he turned them down (and a very smart decision that was).

Alex Milne (born October 13, 1980) is a Canadian artist who has done pencils on numerous Transformers titles.

Milne's Transformers work started with an ill-fated run at the end of Dreamwave's tenure, during which he was ghosting for Superstar Patrick "Pat The Transman" Lee, and unfortunately, not being paid very much (or at all) for his work. Pat Lee owed him more than $4,330.00 as of February 2005—and that was before he started ghosting for Pat.

After Dreamwave folded, Milne was picked up by IDW, who presumably pay him a living wage. He penciled a number of live-action movie spin-off books and other miscellaneous titles. In 2012, he became the primary artist on IDW's More Than Meets the Eye series, drawing the bulk of its issues.

Milne's linework is noted for its high levels of detail, from complex backgrounds to precisely delineated mechanical greeblies on the Transformers themselves. Stylistically, Milne has shown the ability to emulate other artists' work, such as his Pat Lee-styled lines on Megatron: Origin. For More Than Meets the Eye, Milne designed many of the series' characters and settings, and by extension, much of its distinctive overall look. His work on the book has garnered high praise among fans, owing to his detailed character designs, complex action scenes, and highly expressive characters.

But in all honesty, the reaction to things as of late with G1-related stories really has me not interested in doing this at all. There seems to be a "bash it before you see it" epidemic as of late, so I really have to ask myself "why bother?" I've said it before, I'm a lucky guy who has been given some incredible opportunities. But this isn't my main job, I don't NEED to do this. Recent events have really made me take a closer look at this. We all have a right to express our opinions, but the blatant disrespect and rudeness that people have—and continue to show—towards creators or the fans that speak up for them, is really discouraging. We'll see, though. I've got a few other things to finish up first, and Andrew and I do have a rough outline of where we want this to go. If it's going to happen, you'll hear it here first. But in our minds, Cosmos is absolutely clunky. We're not going to make him a secret agent or anything. On second thought....|link=http://forum.idwpublishing.com/viewtopic.php?t=5052|name=Chris Mowry|site=the IDW forums|defunct=y}}</ref> Now, the cover art is the only piece of this we've officially seen... but in May 2009, the unofficial Transformers: Mosaic strip "I Am..." was released, created by Mowry and Griffith. How exactly this was related is unknown.

Aaron C. Archer (born August 26, 1972) is a former high-ranking employee of Hasbro.

Aaron's career was somewhat unusual insofar as he started out as a regular designer and eventually climbed up the corporate ladder.

As a designer, he first worked in Hasbro's Kenner division in 1995 after it was purchased by Hasbro a few years prior, working on toylines such as Batman, Star Wars and Jurassic Park, before being moved to Transformers during the Transmetal 2 phase of Beast Wars. There, he designed toys like the Transmetal 2 incarnations of Cheetor, Iguanus, Dinobot, Optimus Minor, and Megatron.

In the year 2000, the Kenner division was closed down and its product lines were fully merged into Hasbro. Many of the Kenner staff didn't want to relocate to Rhode Island, including the incumbent head of the Transformers brand, but Aaron was willing to move and, in his words, said "I raised my hand and said 'I'll take Transformers if you're looking for someone to manage it'". Aaron was promoted to lead designer on Transformers, where he played a large role in the planning of Armada, which was released in 2002. He played a similar role in the development of Energon and Cybertron, as well as Alternators. In addition to designing characters and planning out the toylines, Aaron also wrote the story concepts for all three Unicron Trilogy lines that were eventually <s>made manifest in the lines' cartoon series</s> ignored by the Japanese production companies. In the middle of all of this, in 2004, he was further promoted to design director.

In later years, he held titles such as "Snr. Design Director", "Director of Global Design and Development" (for the Transformers and [[G.I. Joe (team)|G.I. In 2013, he resigned from Hasbro for initially undisclosed reasons. He later confirmed that his main reason was the increasing difficulty of developing "fun" toys while dealing with rising plastic prices and the constant pressure for cost efficiency. After living for about a year in Morganton, North Carolina, where they operated their own art studio, he and his wife have since moved back to Rhode Island.

Stylistically, Archer's design work tended to prioritise play features, balanced against other considerations such as aesthetics and production realities.

Aaron's stint as "Orson" eventually came to a sudden halt in September 2003, when he was asked by his superiors to refrain from any further posts at TFW2005 and have his "Orson" account as well as his entire posting history deleted. Aaron initially blamed Jack, the owner of TFormers.com, another fansite, for sending a "sour grape email" to his PR department. Jack initially denied any involvement and threatened legal action for defamation of name, but later endorsed the termination of "Orson's World", without directly claiming responsibility: Allegedly, Aaron, in his "Orson" persona, had been behaving "unprofessionally", had been "rude" towards fans and allegedly secretly supplied TFW2005 with photos of prototypes, thereby undermining a strict ban on photos of prototypes Hasbro had been enforcing for the better part of 2003. Other suspects blamed by "inside sources" were the staff of other fansites such as Seibertron.com, The Allspark (who later went on record several times denying any involvement, even explicitly mourning the loss of "Orson's World") and the owners of the late Transfandom.net/Transfandom.com, the latter of whom had allegedly phoned Hasbro and literally insulted their PR contact.

The true details of the goings-on behind the scenes that had led to the end of "Orson's World" will probably never be revealed in full. Which is probably for the better.

James M. Sorenson, better known as Jim, (born July 15, 1976) is a Los Angeles-based Transformers fan who freelances with IDW Publishing. Along with Bill Forster, he restored and did layouts of character designs in the Ark books. He also wrote the copy and compiled the material from fans and professionals like Andrew Hall (aka Hydra) and Bob Budiansky. In the course of compiling this material, he came across several original series notes, some of which (nicknames and extended biographies) he has made available to online forums. He is also an active participant on this wiki.

Prior to making the leap to pro, he had been a longtime fan, contributing to alt.toys.transformers as early as 1994. He was perhaps best known for deciphering the Maximal and Predacon languages as used in the Beast Wars show and making the text, in canonical order, available as a true-type font. In the late '90s, Sorenson created fonts based on writing in "Cosmic Rust" and "Decepticon Graffiti!"; in 2007, these fonts were retroactively made official when they were incorporated into the Wars Mini-ARG (Alternate Reality Game), and have since appeared multiple times across official Transformers media. He also provided material used by Shout! Factory in their DVD releases, and co-wrote "Trial and Error", an unofficial comic released at TFNation 2017 to act as a "finale" to the Transformers Animated cartoon, with Chris McFeely.

As he doesn't think much of the traditional dearth of female Transformers, he puts them into his work as often as he can and will turn any toy with no specified gender into a woman.

He has frequently stated that he believes authorial intent has no place in canon. Despite this, or perhaps because of it, he frequently uses his stories to canonize the semi-canon ideas of other creators.
Salsa dancers consider him their enemy, and as many as four at a time have been known to chase him through a convention facility.
Neil Ross (born December 31, 1944) is an American voice actor (though born in the UK). He is best known for several roles, including Shipwreck and Dusty from G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, Hasbro crossover character Hector Ramirez from G.I. Volgin in Metal Gear Solid 3 and, fittingly enough, Han Solo in various Star Wars video games.
Notes
*According to Ross, Hook's voice was born from a failed impersonation of actor Gregory Peck.
*Despite voicing Hector Ramirez in every other TV series he appeared in, The Transformers is the only one in which Ross did not perform the character. The part was played by both Frank Welker and John Stephenson.
*Ross was one of the eight voice actors featured in Shout! Factory's cast reunion in the 25th Anniversary "Matrix of Leadership" Collection of the original series.
*Ross's favourite line in all of Transformers is Springer's iconic quote "I've got better things to do tonight than die!".
