So, someone changed the spelling in most of the product headers to "Metroflex". Small change, but I changed in back.
: That's his Japanese name. The toys were released in Japan, hence why they're listed under Metroflex. Bobpiecheese 04:40, 29 February 2012 (EST)
I was reading the toy section about suffering from weak points, but I have three of the buggers (all second-hand) and stickers aside, they're in great condition - far better than, say, any of the Triple Changers or even the Aerialbots. :::The only thing that's really FOC-based the most about this toy is its batch of electronic voice quotes taken from the game. But a big indicator about its identity is its toy bio pinning him down the closest to IDW Metroplex. --Sabrblade 00:26, 26 February 2013 (EST)
::Slightly less assumptiony then all this, here's TFclub:
<blockquote>The Transformers Generations Titan Class Metroplex is the largest converting Transformers toy EVER! At over two feet tall, <u>Metroplex from the hit video game Transformers: Fall Of Cybertron from Activision</u>, the Autobots’ ultimate weapon converts from robot mode to rolling battle platform mode, and converts into an Autobot city! The ultimate action figure for Transformers fans!</blockquote>
:::We all know Hasbro thinks of characters as being the same guys no matter what line they're from. Unless the guy is sold in FOC packaging, or has references to FOC in his bio, or is depicted with FOC toys or guys in FOC bodies, there's no reason for him to be considered a toy of FOC Metroplex. -LV 18:49, 27 February 2013 (EST)
::::I don't think we'd move the toy based on a single press release. I'd say that actual G1 fiction (packed in with toys in the same toyline, no less) shilling the toy, and a package bio that makes reference to a very specific aspect of said fiction, are a more convincing argument than one sentence in some marketing copy. They bring up Fall of Cybertron 'cause they can't very well say 'as seen in a cartoon 28 years ago!'. We've just had a line of Fall of Cybertron toys, all of which bear close resemblance to their in-game appearances. ::::Didn't they just make FOC Omega Supreme who doesn't really look like his model? Also, Transformers Club's official website seems like it would absolutely be able to say "as seen in IDW" or "as seen in Generation 1" or what the hell ever they want to. Plus, the Prime comics shill the IDW comics as well.
Fiction
Marvel Comics continuity
The Battlechargers were summoned to Earth from Cybertron by Megatron, who wanted a dramatic way to announce his challenge to Optimus Prime for a fight to the death. Ignoring their orders, the two reckless Decepticons left and began to raise a bit of random highway havoc. During a break in the mayhem, they rested in a parking lot and saw a defiant youngster expressing his disgust of family vacations through graffiti. His dad angrily escorted him back to the station wagon, and their holiday trip resumed. The Battlechargers, impressed by the boy's disregard for authority, began following the family on a road trip through the U.S., defacing any monuments they happened upon (such as Mt. Rushmore, the Gateway Arch in St. Louis, and the Washington Monument). They wrote insults and jokes in Cybertronian, thus attracting the attention of RAAT, which had already captured thirteen Autobots.

RAAT caught up with them in Philadelphia, where Circuit Breaker engaged them in a battle that nearly killed the graffiti-inclined boy. Because of her disregard for civilian safety, Circuit Breaker was temporarily stripped of her command and ordered to stay out of action. Itching for revenge, she found her only allies to be the partially-disassembled Autobots in her RAAT lab. She didn't have time to rebuild them all properly, but she knew she could jury-rig them together into a single form which she could partially control. However, she needed the Autobots' consent, and they only agreed to do it if she would release them afterward. She agreed, and she soon fought an aerial battle with the two Decepticons at the Statue of Liberty (where, incidentally, they had written "humans are wimps" in poor English). The two hooligans met quick defeat at the hands of her makeshift gestalt, their charred bodies sent plunging into the harbor. Circuit Breaker's release of the captive Autobots cost her her job at RAAT, as well as that of Donny Finkleberg, AKA Robot Master, who had helped her do it. Donny had received a $50,000 reward for turning the Autobot Skids in, and he ended up using that money to help pay for the cleanup of the Battlechargers' antics. Decepticon Graffiti!

For quite some time, the Battlechargers remained out of action (probably rusting under the sea). However, when Shockwave wanted to wrest control of the Earth-based Decepticons from Scorponok, the Battlechargers mysteriously returned and for unknown reasons joined his motley band of rebels. They attacked Scorponok's New Jersey base, and a battle ensued. Just as the battle ended, the combatants were transported to Cybertron by Primus, who was gathering his Transformer children to stand against the demigod Unicron. The Battlechargers survived that planet-rending battle, but the next day Runabout was strolling with Battletrap when he was attacked and devoured by a strange Cybertronian creature (the same type of creature that later fought the Dinobots during Grimlock's Nucleon-induced transformation).

For a time, Runamuck fared better; he didn't die until he and the other Decepticons ran into Jhiaxus's second-generation Transformers. He was among the first casualties of a battle that nearly cost even the new-and-improved Megatron's life.

Generation 1 cartoon
At first, only Runamuck appeared in the cartoon. He attacked Kup and some other Autobots investigating a decimated Earth Defense Command station that had crashed on the planet Goo #8739B. Riding Blast Off, Runamuck strafed the Autobots with a death-crystal shooter (the station had been destroyed by death crystals, so it's possible that was Runamuck's work as well). The Autobots engaged the duo in a short space battle that ended when Runamuck blew up a comet with the death crystals, delaying the Autobots long enough to get away.Chaos (episode)

Both Runabout and Runamuck were next seen guarding Trypticon's city mode on Chaar. They were attacked by Scourge and the ghost of Starscream, who wanted to steal one of Trypticon's eyes for Unicron. Starscream possessed Runabout, shot Runamuck, then ran into a wall, knocking Runabout unconscious. Runamuck, however, was able to sound an alarm, and Dirge, Thrust, and Astrotrain arrived to help. Scourge got Trypticon's eye, and Starscream possessed Astrotrain and escaped. Later, under Unicron's orders, Starscream returned to Chaar and took control of Trypticon, not knowing that Dirge, Thrust, and the Battlechargers were inside. Starscream used Trypticon to bring Unicron's head down Cybertron's surface, but Thrust sabotaged Trypticon from within before Starscream could connect Unicron to the planet. Starscream came out of Trypticon and demanded that Unicron give him a corporeal form so he could complete the connections. Just as Unicron did so, Autobot-planted explosives detonated and sent Unicron's head back into orbit. Starscream was also flung into outer space, where Galvatron began pursuing him. Trypticon (and the Decepticons inside him) were probably thrown into space as well. Although the Battlechargers never appeared again, Trypticon and the others did, so they most likely did survive.Ghost in the Machine
Dreamwave continuity
IDW continuity
Runabout and Runamuck were part of a Decepticon insurgent cell that had operated covertly on Earth for at least four years, working to destabilise Earth's governing organisations and create global anarchy. They, along with Thundercracker were assigned by Starscream to intercept the human Stoker and retrieve his SM-40 palmtop PC, containing data on their Nebraska operation. The team caught up with and killed Stoker outside Phoenix, AZ, by which time Verity Carlo had already stolen the SM-40. The Battlechargers' attempts to retrieve it from Verity and Ratchet blew their cover: they appeared in full public view both in primary mode and in a secondary alternate mode, where the panels of their sports-car disguises split apart to reveal weapons and ram-plates. While pursuing Ratchet, both Battlechargers were run off the road by a semi-trailer. Infiltration]]

:Bluestreak is an Autobot in the Generation 1 continuity family. He is also known as Silverstreak.

Bluestreak is a talker. He talks a lot. Any subject, any time of the day, his lips are flapping while his Autobot comrades are rolling their eyes. Could be about things on Earth, could be about things on Cybertron, could be about just about anything, but the point is, y'know, he's talking. Words are coming out of his mouth in a near constant prattling stream. Some think he's vapid, that his mouth just moves a billion times faster than his brain, if his brain is moving at all. Or they imagine that he's a fool who doesn't know when to shut up, that he drones on and on and on and on because maybe he just likes to hear himself speak or something.

His friends realize, however, that his jabbering hides a deeper pain. At the beginning of the war, Bluesteak's home city was totally destroyed by Decepticons. He was the only survivor. It's as if by talking he tries to somehow drown out his own fears and memories. "There's some demons runnin' loose inside that boy," says Hound, "and sometimes I think they grab hold of him and won't let him go." He hated war, he still does, but ever since he's hated Decepticons even more. It is odd to see a bot of peace so willingly take up arms, but Bluestreak's got a score to settle.

Talk may be cheap, but it keeps him sane.
Marvel Comics continuity
Bluestreak arrived on Earth with his fellow Autobots four million years ago, and remained inactive until 1984. Along with Mirage and Huffer, Bluestreak was one of the less-sympathetic of the Ark's crew when it came to humans. He once suggested repairing the Ark and simply abandoning Earth's people to the Decepticons, after hearing that Sparkplug Witwicky had allegedly provided their foes with a fuel conversion process while he was their prisoner.

Despite their conflicting views, Optimus Prime still recognized Bluestreak's skill as a sharpshooter, and chose him to be one of the five Autobots recharged in the Chambers of Transference, in the hopes that at least some Autobots would be at full capacity when the inevitable Decepticon attack came. When it did, Bluestreak was brazen enough to attack Megatron himself, head-on. Despite their temporary victory, the battle-weary Autobots were blindsided by the returning Decepticon Shockwave, who knocked them all down with a single blast. The Last Stand

Ratchet remained free, however, and with the help of the Dinobots he recaptured the Ark and the deactivated Autobots from Decepticon control. Ratchet then went to work revived all the damaged Autobots in quick order. In the following days, Bluestreak was one of the first Autobots to confront new foes such as the Constructicons and Jetfire. He also suffered considerable injuries trying to wrangle the savage Grimlock in Doonstown. Dinobot Hunt

Bluestreak spent a considerable period of time out of action once Prime was recovered by the Autobots, and would not be seen again until well after Grimlock assumed control of the army. Totaled! His return was short-lived, however, as he was soon destroyed battling the Underbase-empowered Starscream. Dark Star!

Bluestreak was one of the original crew members of the Ark when it set off from Cybertron in search of new sources of fuel and energy. Attacked en-route by the Decepticon flagship Nemesis, the Ark crashed into a volcano and the Autobots lay dormant for millions of years. When the volcano erupted and activated Teletraan-1 in 1984, Bluestreak was reformatted into a Datsun 280Z. More Than Meets the Eye, Part 1

Bluestreak was also among the Autobots who went to the Ruby Crystal Mine of Burma. More Than Meets the Eye, Part 2. Then, when Ironhide flew off after the Decepticons Bluestreak joined in with a dogfight with Skywarp. He avoided injury, but abandoned the chase when Ironhide was shot down, and managed to drag his friend to safety after a water landing.More Than Meets the Eye, Part 3

Bluestreak and Prowl chased after Soundwave, Thundercracker, and Starscream when they tried to steal an antimatter formula. Thanks to Chip Chase they managed to escape safely. Roll For It

Bluestreak's skill as a gunner was frequently employed in combat. On one occasion, Laserbeak was trying to fly off with Spike Witwicky, and Bluestreak was able to target and shoot one of the tin-turkey's legs without hitting Spike to free him. The Ultimate Doom, Part 2 Another time, the Autobots were attempting to recapture the irreplaceable robot ninja Nightbird for her creator, after the Decepticons turned her against humanity. Optimus Prime was insistent the Autobots not shoot or harm Nightbird, but Bluestreak saved Prime anyway from the attacking ninja by cleanly shooting her laser sword out of Nightbird's hands. Enter the Nightbird

Along with several fellow Autobots, Bluestreak participated in the Europa 2000, an international charity race stretching from Paris to Istanbul. When the the arrogant racing driver Auggie Cahnay cut across Bumblebee, an indignant Bluestreak helped his understandably angry friend catch up to the American and attempt to teach him some manners. Later, after running afoul of the Stunticons, Bluestreak learned of Megatron's plan for the Pearl of Bahoudin and the dissapearance of several other Autobots. Ironically, it is Cahnay who helps the Autobot cripple Menasor and thwart Megatron's scheme after his car is stolen, much to Bluestreak's surprise. Cahnay went on to win the race by driving Bluestreak in a photo finish with the other Autobots that weren't driven off the road by the Stunticons. Trans-Europe Express

In the year 2005, Bluestreak can briefly be seen (Don't blink! You'll miss it!) helping Kup move a roadblock, just before Hot Rod and Daniel Witwicky crash through it. The Transformers: The Movie (1986)

Binaltech
Suffering from the Cosmic Rust virus, Bluestreak was one of the first Autobots reconstructed using Binaltech technology. Alongside Smokescreen, Hound, Tracks, and Sideswipe, he helped Earth Defense Command drive the Decepticons off of Earth. Bluestreak continued serving on Earth at Autobot City, under Ultra Magnus's overall command.

Dreamwave comics continuity
When the Autbot/Decepticon war erupted 8.7 million years ago, destroying his home city, Bluestreak, then a merchant, joined the Autobot army. 500,000 years later, he related Sentinel Prime's death to Optronix, and later served in the last-ditch attempt to defend Iacon from Shockwave's forces.

7.4 million years ago, Bluestreak remained with the Autobots after the apparent death of Optimus Prime. He and Trailbreaker remained at Autobase while Prowl led a task force against Trypticon; while there, they met Jetfire and apprised him of the current situation on Cybertron. 1.4 million years later, Bluestreak and an Autobot/Decepticon/Ultracon force helped defend a pace ceremony at Tyger Pax from the Predacons.

Bluestreak was among the crew of the Ark when it crashed on Earth 4 million years ago, and awoke in 1984 to battle the Decepticons. After years of fighting, Bluestreak and the other Autobots took part in Operation Liberation in 1998, a joint human/Autobot operation that defeated and captured the Earth-bound Decepticons. However, the Ark II, which was meant to convey the Autobots, the captured Decepticons, and a number of humans back to Cybertron was sabotaged by General Robert Hallo, sending Bluestreak and his comrades to the bottom of the Arctic Ocean.

Bluestreak was later recovered by the sinister Lazarus, and his deactivated form was used to power Megatron's deadly metal virus weapon. By the time he was rescued by Optimus Prime, his energy had been almost fatally depleted.

Bluestreak recovered, however, and rejoined his newly-active comrades. When Shockwave came to Earth and announced that the Autobot/Decepticon wars were over, and that the two factions had been united, Bluestreak was more than skeptical, suggesting it was a trick. The memory of his destroyed home-city still haunted him, and he would not believe the same beings who killed innocents could change their ways. His views clashed with Gears', who did not see the point in fighting wars that had been ended. Despite his objections, Bluestreak was among the Autobots who joined Optimus Prime in surrendering to Shockwave's lieutenant, Ultra Magnus. Ferried back to Cybertron by Sky Lynx, Bluestreak and the others were imprisoned and scheduled for execution, but were freed by Broadside and taken to an underground hideout. He fought in the battle to retake Iacon , and witnessed Shockwave activating the Matrix of Leadership. Victorious, Bluestreak and his comrades began to rebuild their planet.

IDW Comics continuity
Bluestreak leads a squad of Autobots on Varas Centralus, probably the counter-insurgency team assigned to that planet. He believes the planet, being ravaged by a Decepticon infiltration unit in Phase Six, to be "a lost cause," and suggests to Springer that the Autobots pull out. Stormbringer, Part 2
: Japanese ID number: 08

: The original Bluestreak toy was based on the Diaclone "Fairlady Z" toy, and transforms into an accurate replica of a Datsun Fairlady Z. The all-silver deco for the mold was unique to its Transformers release, not a carry-over from Diaclone, though it was heavily based on the second version of his Diaclone toy. Reused photography and artwork of Bluestreak's Diaclone incarnation led to considerably confusion in that it retained a blue and gray paint scheme not seen in the American toyline. The doors can open in car mode, but the vehicle mode lacks any kind of automotive interior. As with most Generation 1 toys of the time, he was constructed partially of die-cast metal and had rubber tires.

: In robot mode, Bluestreak has the classic 'car hood-chest' design also featured on fellow Autobots Jazz, Prowl and Smokescreen, and is armed with a vacuum-metalized laser rifle and two shoulder-mounted rocket launchers that can each fire one of the three included projectiles.

: This mold was retooled to make Prowl, and again for Smokescreen.

* Streak (anime version) (2002)

: An exclusive to Takara's e-Hobby shop, this version of Bluestreak was sold bundled in a set, though not packaged together, with a gold-plated version of Meister. Often called 'Anime Streak' by fans and collectors, this toy used the color scheme from the second version of his Diaclone toy (which was used as the basis for his cartoon and comic character model), with a black roof and hood instead of the original Transformer toy's silver.

* Streak (silver plated version) (2003)

: Also an e-Hobby-exclusive, this version of Bluestreak was almost entirely vacuum-metalized, much like the gold-plated Jazz, but in silver. Like the gold Jazz, the Chrome Streak emulated a "campaign car" prize item from the original Diaclone line.

* Silverstreak (2004)

: Realeased as part of Hasbro's Toys "R" Us exclusive Commemorative Series III reissues in the same colours as his original 1980s release, although his packaging pictures depicts Takara's 'Anime Streak' version. For this release he has been redubbed "Silverstreak" due to Hasbro's apparent inability to secure the trademark for the name "Bluestreak". Due to safety reasons, the springs in his rocket launchers were removed, and his laser rifle and projectiles were not vacuum-metalized.

Alternators
*Silverstreak (Alternator, 2004)
:Japanese ID number: BT-03

: The second Subaru Impreza toy released in the Alternators line was actually the first to be developed, but due to marketing suggestions, the more eye-catching Smokescreen was released first. Silverstreak transforms into a very accurate silver 2003 Subaru Impreza WRX, with opening hood, trunk, and all four doors as well as a detailed interior. He also featured working steering and rubber tires.

: His robot mode is based upon his original toy, as well as his cartoon model, but with changes made to reflect modern standards of Transformers toys, as well as his new vehicle mode. He is armed with a laser rifle formed from his turbo intercooler, and has the capacity to mount two spring-loaded rocket launchers on either side of his shoulders, though these were only included with the retool of Binaltech Smokescreen.

: Unusual for an Alternators release, Silverstreak was fully painted silver, similar to his Binaltech release. The silver paint on Silverstreak is more flat compared to the sparkled paint of the Binaltech version.

: The first shipment of the Alternator version used the right side steering like the Japanese release. Soon afterwards, a modified version was release with the steering wheel on the left side of the vehicle.

: This mold was also used to make Ricochet and Binaltech Asterisk Alert.
: A repaint of Robots in Disguise Side Swipe, he is based upon his pre-G1 release 'blue' colour scheme, with a silver hood. He is armed with a small gun that is disguised as a tailpipe in vehicle mode.
Trivia
* One of the longest-running myths about Transformers is the existence of the "blue-sided Bluestreak" as shown in the original toy catalogs, which used one of the two different Diaclone variants of the Fairlady mold. No sealed samples of the blue-sided Bluestreak in a Transformers box have ever been found. Oddly enough, though the catalogs featured numerous pictures of toys that did not match up with finished product (like Astrotrain and Perceptor), blue-sided Bluestreak is the only one that seems to have taken on the "my brother's friend's cousin had one" status.

* In recent years, toys based on the Bluestreak character were renamed "Silverstreak" for trademark reasons, because a company named Gendron currently holds the trademark for "Toledo 'Blue Streak'" in the "toys" category.

* Aaron Archer, as Orson, when asked about the Commemorative Series Silverstreak's deco, said the figure was based on the 1984 version of figure rather than the 2002 e-Hobby Streak release due to his desire to give collectors a version closer to the one released in 1984. While this is most likely true, it may also have to do with Hasbro's inability, or desire not to release figures too similar to e-Hobby exclusives, thus a required change for Silverstreak from e-Hobby Streak.

* The deco for Hasbro's retool of the Alternators Acura RSX mold was originally designed with Bluestreak in mind, specifically the original Diaclone deco mentioned above. Early leaked packaging samples even sported an abbreviated form of the name "Bluestreak" on their license plates. Ultimately, however, Hasbro decided to rename the toy and release it as "Autobot Camshaft" instead, possibly because they already had a representation of the G1 Bluestreak character in the Alternators line (Silverstreak).

Miscellaneous trivia
* Symultech Industries, the company that custom-built Auggie Cahnay's car, would later be mentioned in Hirofumi Ichikawa's Binaltech story. According to Dead End's system description, Symultech was responsible for building the body that was originally intended for Sunstreaker, but ended up getting hijacked by the Decepticons to create BT Dead End.
* Auggie Cahnay was mentioned in the American dub of the Robots in Disguise episode Skid-Z's Choice. There, he was stated as having deceased, and Skid-Z was seemingly possessed by his spirit. Likewise, that episode eatured a race called the Europa 400, supposedly named after the Europa 2000 from this episode.

The transfixatron was a device built by the Constructicons under the direction of Megatron. It was a projectile device that fired energy bursts that could nullify a Transformer's transformation process.

When the Autobots undertook a motor race for charity, Megatron used he opportunity to use the transfixatron on the Autobots while they were in vehicular mode. While the Autobots were racing, Skywarp teleported from a remote location to the air above the Autobots and successfully fired the transfixatron on the racing Autobots. Skywarp was called "Delightfully treacherous" by Megatron for his actions.

Bumblebee, Ratchet, Wheeljack, and Huffer managed to escape the transfixatron because they chose not to participate in the race. These Autobots, with the help of Spike and Chip Chase, managed to develop a grenade that could counteract the effects of the transfixatron, which was ultimately destroyed, but not before being used against Devastator, causing him to dismantle.

I didn't cut and past that bio, and where else are we going to discuss that bio's contibution to canon? X-BoB58 02:50, 3 April 2006 (UTC)

Just... you know, a crazy suggestion, but perhaps on a page for the character who's inhabiting Sideswipe's spare body? He's a separate dude, so he gets a separate page. --ItsWalky 02:56, 3 April 2006 (UTC)

There is some abiguity as to whether or not that whole "separate dude" thing is actually real, Walky. It's something I've been meaning to ask Doug/Ichikawa about for a while, actually.
ALSO, "e-hobby" is not a fiction. It's not a story. All it has is bios. IF e-hobby Sideswipe is in fact a nrew dude, then it goes on a new dude's page. If it's not, then the overview of that bio goes in the TOY section when the e-hobby release is discussed.
--M Sipher

"ALSO, "e-hobby" is not a fiction."
It's still canon
"He's a separate dude"
That's the first I've heard of this theory, Care to eleaberate? I thought NY Lambor represented the new body that they put his spark into after he died(offscreen) in the movie?

What e-Hobby bio? the ones he and red Alert had ages ago? they reprented, IIRC, nto reissues but specifically later incarnations of the character, but they were the same characters. TFPulp had translations and their different cardart back in the day. -Derik

It DOESN'T MATTER if it's canon... IT'S NOT FICTION as presented in this wiki and therefore should NOT go in the "Fiction" section. This is not a difficult premise at all. - M Sipher

???

I am highly skeptical of this revision. Aren't there other Japanese names that are basically just the altmode name? Why would this one have a special double meaning? Also, wouldn't Lambor and Rambo have different "o" sounds, making them not the same word after all? It just sounds like something some fan noticed once and now there are people treating it like it was intentional or meaningfgul... --Steve-o 15:28, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
:In Japanese, "bo" is "bo". The character is always pronounced the same. The only difference between Lambor and Rambo is the "ru" at the end of Lambor. Ligier/Mirage is the only other one with a reference to his car mode. Besides, considering how reflective it is of Sideswipe's character (at least the reckless part), I don't see why it couldn't get a mention. There's no confirmation on the Nine Great Demon Generals' name being a word pun yet it's included in the article. 70.55.211.39
::I don't know if this conclusion is even remotely true, but it is correct that the pronounciation is the same. Lambor is actually pronounced like "Rambo" would be in English, with the syllable "ru" at the end. --Suki Brits 17:12, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

::How about the fact that the film First Blood was released in Japan in December of 1982, less than two years before this name would have been applied to the toy? Assuming 70.55.211.39 is correct that Rambo is now a "Japanese word", would it have been that soon after the movie? Was Rambo an instant and widespread pop culture phenomenon in Japan? I would be alright with a trivia notice saying that the names are pronounced very similarly, and that this may not be coincidence, but I think actually attributing any intent is a huge stretch. Perhaps 70.55.211.39 / 70.55.211.238 is an expert on Japanese fads in the 1980s, but since I am not I am reluctant to treat Rambo like it was a popular word at the time. --Steve-o 17:52, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

:::Rambo has always been a Japanese word. First Blood was released in Japan under the name Rambo because it was noticed the character's last name was the same as their word for violence. The kanji for it is 乱暴, look it up. Anyway, I did a revision, leaving it up to speculation. Also linked to the Nine Great Demon Generals and the Autorooper to point out it wouldn't be a standalone case of Takara doing a word pun like that... I think it's interesting enough to go in the trivia, mostly because it fits the character's personality, if it was attributed to a guy like Wheeljack then I wouldn't have bothered but Sideswipe as far as his original tech specs go do portray him as violent and reckless character. 70.55.211.39 18:28, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

::::Ahhh. See, it makes a lot more sense when you explain that "rambo" has always been a Japanese word, and that it's not a pun on the name of an American movie's lead character. I am satisfied with the current wording. --Steve-o 03:24, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

I have a question: Does anyone know what happened to Sidewsipe and Sunstreaker after the movie. It would appear that neither of them actually died in battle, so did they sirvive in the animated continuity? Did they appear in seasons 3 or 4? Thanks. --Mcada 06:50, 10 September 2007 (UTC)<div id="wikia-credits"><br /><br /><small>From Teletraan I: The Transformers Wiki, a Wikia wiki.</small></div>

At some point in Cybertron's recent history, the Stunticons were deemed psychotic and too dangerous to function in society, and as a result were placed into perpetual stasis lock inside of a prison facility. Later, in an attempt to create a diversion while he set his final plans in motion, Shockwave arranged for the release of the Stunticons. They formed into Menasor and ran amuck in Iacon for awhile, until Ultra Magnus arrived and began to attack Menasor by insulting the Stunticons individually. Unable to reconcile with this, the five Stunticons began to bicker with each other over whose fault it was that they were failing, temporarily halting Menasor's destruction. At that point, Ultra Magnus was quoted to have said: "'King of the Road' eh? We'll see about that." just before ramming the combiner in the chest, forcing Manasor to separate into his component parts and disabling the Stunticons.

Ultra Magnus' attack was significant in that, while in truck mode, he essentially made a fearless suicide run straight into Menasor. He not only succeeded in disabling Menasor, but also damaged Motormaster severely. Ultra Magnus' attack showed that Motormaster was bested by a supposed lesser Autobot than Optimus Prime.
: Motormaster transforms into a black Kenworth K100 Aerodyne sleeper truck pulling a long dark silver trailer. Unlike many Transformers truck toys, his trailer is pernamently attached to the cab. Motormaster can assume a base/repair bay mode which can connect to the Decepticon city Trypticon or the Autobot city Metroplex. A small black scout car that is included can be used in this mode.
He also forms the central body of Menasor, with the small car becoming his chest piece and Menasor's mask covering his face. He also comes with Menasor's hands and feet.

: Motormaster's Japanese release included a Optimus Prime like launcher mechinism for the base mode that can propel the Roller Car down the ramp. (Like Silverbolt, Motormaster's various knock-offs include the launcher.)

Unreleased toys
: The Stunticons and Protectobots were planned to be released as part of the Generation 2 line, but were ultimately canceled (though Breakdown saw "release" as the 1994 exclusive). The smaller limb-robots all have had packaged samples appear, but no packaged samples of Motormaster or Hot Spot are known to exist, and the two leaders are the hardest of their sets to come across nowadays.

: A redeco of Thunder Clash as Motormaster (called "Menasor" because of trademark issues) was planned as a store exclusive for Universe, but was ultimately canceled. No physical samples of this toy have been found so far, just package art.

Trivia
* In the 2006/2007 Classics line, a redeco of Legends of Cybertron Optimus Prime was intended to be Motormaster, but again, the name could not be obtained. The toy was given the name "Menasor", and the super robot's function of "Super Warrior", effectively making him Menasor, not Motormaster.

* Motormaster has three different pieces of boxart. The art on on his Japanese packaging has him transformed correctly, while the art on his individual Hasbro release shows him mistransformed with his upper legs out to the side instead of down. In what is presumably an attempt to fix this, the art on the Hasbro giftset uses the lower legs from the Takara art, but this leaves Motormaster's upper legs mistransformed.

Huffer is an Autobot character in the Generation 1 continuity family.

To say that Huffer is cranky is an understatement. Huffer's the poster boy for whiney pessimism. He complains and grumbles his way through every day, especially since he's been shipwrecked on Earth. If he thought his existence was unbearable before, it's intolerable now, and he'll certainly let you know.

Despite what a joy he is to be around, he's very effective at his job. A construction engineer, he can whip up anything of any complexity. Unfortunately, he'll be kicking and screaming the whole way.

Marvel Comics continuity
Huffer complains of being homesick for his homeworld of Cybertron. Yet he still fights to destroy the Decepticons' transdimensional radiowave scrambler, which would have allowed him to contact home, knowing that if he allowed the Decepticons to use the scrambler, it could mean disaster for the Earth-bound Autobots.

Once he teamed up with Bomber Bill.
Animated continuity
:Voice actor: John Stephenson (English), Yutaka Shimaka (Japan)

Huffer was part of the original crew of Ark-based Autobots who crashed on Earth four million years ago. In 1984, he awoke and was reformatted into a mini semi truck cab. An engineer and not a warrior, Huffer loathed combat and hated being stationed on Earth as he longed to return to Cybertron. Optimus Prime would often have to motivate Huffer, reminding him to remain courageous in the long fight. During one of the first engagements on Earth, where the Autobots attempted to stop the Decepticons from attacking an off-shore oil rig, Huffer was trapped in the debris. Brawn came to his rescue, cutting Huffer loose from the wreckage.

Damaged in a fall from the top of the Ruby Crystal Mines of Burma, Optimus Prime was encouraged by Huffer, Cliffjumper, and Gears as he painfully tried to transform back into robot mode. Huffer then took Prime's trailer back to the Ark.

When Optimus Prime authorized Wheeljack and Ratchet to build robot dinosaurs, Huffer insisted that this was a waste of time. After the Dinobots were completed and unveiled, Huffer remarked, "Dinobots? I thought you were supposed to make Dinosaurs!" and laughed. This was followed by an awkward silence.

Though his death wass never depicted, Huffer's grave is later shown amongst those of the other Autobots who died during the attack on Autobot City.
:Huffer was part of the original 1984 assortment of Autobot mini-cars. His mold was originally used for the Microchange series of toys as a "American" truck. The Microchange toyline was meant to depict robots that transformed into toy cars, which accounts for the somewhat cartoonish proportions of Huffer's vehicle modes. The Huffer mold was retooled for the 1986 toyline as Pipes.
