Highbrow is an Autobot World War II fighter.
**Accessories: 2 gatling guns

:Highbrow transforms into a World War II-era fighter resembling a cross between a P-38 Lightning and an XF5U "Flying Flapjack". In robot mode he features a flip-down battle mask and is armed with two non-firing gatling guns and propellers on his forearms. Strangely, he doesn't feature a faction symbol in either mode.

Notes
*Highbrow's battle mask resembles the goggles and headgear of a WWII American fighter pilot. The lens of the goggles are made of a clear plastic, allowing one to see Highbrow's eyes when the mask is down.
*Highbrow also coincidentally resembles the Tonka GoBot Bolt.
What Blot does through carelessness, Snapdragon does with deliberation. He loves nothing more than bathing in putrid grease pits or, if those aren't available, the running fuel from his victims' corpses. His bouts of animalistic fury and sheer love of destruction would make him an excellent warrior if not for the fact that he's also as lazy as the Empties in Dead End. His personal quarters are littered with alarm clocks shot to fragments by laser fire because Snapdragon just wasn't motivated to kill and maim that morning. His fellow Decepticons know they risk suffering a similar fate if they try to wake him, but often risk it in the hopes of channeling Snapdragon's rage towards the Autobots. Woe to the Autobot warrior who faces Snapdragon without his beauty rest. However, his lazy and appalling personal habits make him unwelcome among his fellow Decepticons, except for the equally thuggish Apeface.
Snapdragon was one of the newly recruited Decepticon animals who attacked Autobot City as a diversion, so that the Decepticon Clones could steal the Key to the Plasma Energy Chamber. After a quick game of "kick the can" with Freeway, Snapdragon retreated and joined Scourge's unit in journeying to the Chamber, and then tracking the Autobots who recovered the Key to Nebulos.
Snapdragon and Apeface were loyal followers of Scorponok on the planet Master. Before the Headmasters of Evil abandoned Master to join the Decepticons, the duo were captured and banished into the depths of space by Fortress and his allies for their crimes. Sometime later, they were found and contacted by Galvatron, who brought them into the Decepticon ranks. Snapdragon and Apeface accompanied "Galvatron" to Shangri-La Island for the peace talks with Spike Witwicky. Fighting broke out after the Autobots traveling with Spike learned Galvatron was a fake, and the Decepticons were planning to attack other energy storages in the universe. Daniel Faces His Biggest Crisis Ever!!

Snapdragon and Apeface joined Galvatron on his trek throughout the universe for more energy and quickly became his favorite warriors. When they invaded the hive world of Susei, Galvatron took Sixshot and the Horrorcons with him and just told the other Headmasters to keep a light on for them. Fight to the Death on Susei!! They were also active on the Twin Star planets, searching in vain for more energy on Sperity when the Autobot Headmasters arrived. Battle for Defense of the False Planet On Darhos, Apeface and Snapdragon were Galvatron's guests as he met with the corrupt governor, and they later joined Sixshot in a fight with the Headmasters. They were doing okay until Chromedome and friends pulled out a 50-foot gun. It...didn't go well after that. Find MegaZarak's Weak Spot!! On the Pirate Planet, the Horrorcons helped the Decepticon Clones recover the skull key from Fastlane and Cloudraker. Snapdragon was also involved in Galvatron's efforts to use the key and raid the pirates' pyramid. Mystery of the Space Pirate Ship

As the Decepticons returned to Earth, Snapdragon and Apeface began working for Sixshot on Earth. They were assembled alongside the Terrorcons and Combaticons to attack an Autobot energy facility in Miami. The duo fought the Monsterbot named Doublecross, although he was almost too busy arguing with himself to notice. They later traveled to Autobot City and picked a fight with Raiden, preventing him from entering the battle between Sixshot and Ultra Magnus that led to the Autobot City Commander's death. Ultra Magnus Dies!! Sixshot continued to employ Snapdragon and Apeface's services on Earth, as the Decepticons unleashed five simultaneous attacks on Autobot outposts on the planet. The Emperor of Destruction Vanishes on an Iceberg

As Scorponok abandoned Earth in favor of conquering Master, Snapdragon was one of his many troops seen attacking the planet's fortifications. After the Autobots arrived on Master, Apeface and Snapdragon were triple-teamed by the new Targetmasters. Perhaps not considering the Horrorcons worthy of exerting their new powers, Pointblank and the Targetmasters spent the whole battle unarmed and in vehicle mode, and still royally smacked the chips out of the two Decepticons. Miraculous Warriors, Targetmasters (Part 2) When the Decepticons kidnapped Wheelie, the Horrorcons stood guard outside the MegaZarak base. In vehicle mode, Chromedome and Danny zoomed right past them and up the ramp into the headquarters. Considering the rescue mission continued unmolested from then on, apparently Snapdragon and Apeface decided it was just a sudden wind that knocked them on their skidplates. The Master Sword Is in Danger!! Later, while Scorponok was finishing the final touches on his Zarak Shield, Snapdragon and Apeface went with Sixshot on a diversionary patrol to keep the Autobots busy. The Zarak Shield Turns the Tide They also battled the Autobots on the asteroid Pallas while MegaZarak was undergoing repairs. Duel on the Asteroid

Snapdragon and Apeface returned to Earth with Scorponok for his final scheme to annihilate the planet using towers made of crysmag metal. As the Decepticons finished preparations for their fourth tower in Egypt, the Battleship Maximus arrived to put in an appearance. Weirdwolf's trio was the first to intercept the battleship and engage the enemy, but Apeface and Snapdragon were quick to follow. Unfortunately, Weirdwolf was leading his men in a rather bizarre and unstable totem pole maneuver, which only got worse after the Horrorcons hopped on top of Mindwipe. At that point, Fortress simply hit the gas, causing the "tower of power" to topple over the side. Snapdragon was also present at the final battle between the Autobots and Decepticons at the North Pole. The Final Showdown on Earth (Part 2)
Marvel Comics continuity
Snapdragon was a Triple Changer working for Scorponok on Cybertron when their chief opponents, Fortress Maximus and his band, suddenly vanished off the face of the planet. They eventually found their enemies when Lord Zarak of Nebulos sent a subspace comm message to Cybertron, asking for help in ridding his world of the Autobots. Snapdragon and the others arrived on Nebulos, ready to destroy their enemies and plunder the planet for resources, taking Zarak and his band of followers prisoner in the process. After Fortress Maximus and his fellow warriors drove off Scorponok's crew with their new Headmaster powers, Scorponok arranged a deal with Zarak to binary bond his warriors with the captive Nebulans. Snapdragon was binary bonded to Zarak's personal bodyguard Krunk. Headmasters (comic)

Snapdragon served under Scorponok during his command on Earth. When he was transported to Cybertron along with almost every other Transformer, he managed to survive the epic battle against Unicron and went on to serve under Bludgeon.

He took part in Bludgeon's successful ambush of the Autobots on Klo, only to have his head blown off soon after by Blaster, in a counter-attack led by the newly-resurrected Optimus Prime. {{Storylink|End of the Road! :Snapdragon transforms into a fighter jet with a really long front section, and also a 'reptile mode', which resembles a generic large theropod dinosaur. His jet mode has two detachable fins, while his reptile mode can have his two guns mounted on its back. His Headmaster partner, Krunk, is both his robot mode head and his reptile mode head (which is simply the robot mode head flipped on its back).

charstubtoys
Trivia
*According to Transformers: Call of the Future, Snapdragon's reptilian alt mode is, in fact, a dragon.
*The Spanish translation of the Headmasters cartoon presents some problems with Snapdragon's name. On Snapdragon's first appearance, Galvatron himself calls him "Zela". (However, it's a bit hard to understand Galvatron; if you don't listen carefully, it sounds like he says "Zedda", which has caused further confusion.) Then Snapdragon presents himself as "Ozela", after which both the narrator and Chromedome call him "Zela". Later, Hardhead calls him "Zedda", and finally, Galvatron calls him "Zela" again. This would seem to make "Zela" his official name, since it's used the most frequently. This is neither the first nor the last dubbing mistake in the series.
*In the Latin dub, he calls himself "El dragón indestructible" (the indestructible dragon).
*Snapdragon's creature mode was based on Godzilla
Apeface appeared to be the leader of the "animals" under Cyclonus and Scourge's command. Or at least their spokesperson. Not that it matters, since when Apeface balked at a command to rip off his own head, Cyclonus <s>pimp-slapped</s> shot him and said "You will do as I say, or you will die!" Not way up there in the Decepticon hierarchy, Apeface is.

Apeface and Snapdragon were loyal followers of Scorponok on the planet Master. Before the Headmasters of Evil abandoned Master to join the Decepticons, the duo were captured and banished into the depths of space by Fortress and his allies for their crimes. Sometime later, they were found and contacted by Galvatron, who brought them into the Decepticon ranks. Apeface and Snapdragon accompanied "Galvatron" to Shangri-La Island for the peace talks with Spike Witwicky. Fighting broke out after the Autobots traveling with Spike learned Galvatron was a fake, and the Decepticons were planning to attack other energy storages in the universe. Despite his fierce chest-pounding, Apeface was defeated by the Autobot Headmasters. Daniel Faces His Biggest Crisis Ever!!

Apeface and Snapdragon joined Galvatron on his trek throughout the universe for more energy, and quickly became his favorite warriors. When they invaded the hive world of Susei, Galvatron took Sixshot and the Horrorcons with him, and just told the other Headmasters to keep a light on for them. Fight to the Death on Susei!! They were also active on the Twin Star planets, searching in vain for more energy on Sperity when the Autobot Headmasters arrived. Apeface managed to get in a little brawling, though, so the trip wasn't a total waste. Battle for Defense of the False Planet On Darhos, Apeface and Snapdragon were Galvatron's guests as he met with the corrupt governor, and later joined Sixshot in a fight with the Headmasters. They were doing okay until Chromedome and friends pulled out a 50 foot gun. It...didn't go well after that. Find MegaZarak's Weak Spot!! On the Pirate Planet, the Horrorcons helped the Decepticon Clones recover the skull key from Fastlane and Cloudraker. Apeface was also involved in Galvatron's efforts to use the key and raid the pirates' pyramid. Mystery of the Space Pirate Ship

As the Decepticons returned to Earth, Apeface and Snapdragon began working for Sixshot on Earth. Sixshot continued to employ Apeface and Snapdragon's services on Earth, as the Decepticons unleashed five simultaneous attacks on Autobot outposts on the planet. The Emperor of Destruction Vanishes on an Iceberg

As Scorponok abandoned Earth in favor of conquering Master, Apeface was one of his many troops seen attacking the planet's fortifications. Considering the rescue mission continued unmolested from then on, apparently Apeface and Snapdragon decided it was just a sudden wind that knocked them on their skidplates. The Master Sword Is in Danger!! Later, while Scorponok was finishing the final touches on his Zarak Shield, Apeface and Snapdragon went with Sixshot on a diversionary patrol to keep the Autobots busy. The Zarak Shield Turns the Tide They also battled the Autobots on the asteroid Pallas while MegaZarak was undergoing repairs. Duel on the Asteroid

Apeface and Snapdragon returned to Earth with Scorponok for his final scheme to annihilate the planet using towers made of crysmag metal. As the Decepticons finished preparations for their fourth tower in Egypt, Apeface received a communication from Soundblaster, who had spotted the Battleship Maximus approaching them from the Alps. Apeface was also present at the final battle between the Autobots and Decepticons at the North Pole. The Final Showdown on Earth (Part 2)
On Cybertron, Apeface was among Scorponok's crew of Decepticons. When their Autobot foes left for the planet Nebulos, the Decepticons followed. Broken Glass!

Not long after their arrival, Apeface and his pal Snapdragon were having fun terrorizing the natives in the city of Splendora, until they were easily dispatched by two Autobot Headmasters. Though Scorponok berated the two for their failure, this latest defeat proved enough for him to reconsider the merits of the Headmaster process. Soon, Apeface was one of six Decepticons who underwent binary-bonding with the organic Nebulans to become a Headmaster. Love and Steel!
During the battle between Scorponok and Ratbat's crews, Apeface learned a valuable truth about himself: while he isn't quite willing to rip off his own arm and beat someone to death with it, he's also not one to ignore an opportunity when it presents itself. Rampage learned that the hard way. Cold War!

Ape Face sic was one of the last few Decepticons remaining behind on Tau-Ursa when the Autobots arrived. He was investigating a crashed spaceship when he found a voice recording. Deducing that if the tape spoke it must be important, he resolved to take it to Scorponok.

At this moment he was attacked by Blurr and Hot Rod who were intent on keeping him from escaping with the information. The triple changer loudly declared his intention to smash them (with a mighty cry of "GRUUUNK!"), and after knocking them to the ground similarly announced he was transforming into jet mode. He was too slow however, and Blurr seized his arm, prising the tape from his hand before escaping. This made him mad. The War Against the Destructons, Chapter 1 of 3
**Accessories: Gun, shield, Spasma Headmaster partner

:Apeface turns into both a cybertronic jet and a robotic gorilla. Unlike Snapdragon, Apeface's fighter jet mode only looks vaguely like an Earth jet, with his robot limbs hanging off the back of the vehicle in an obvious fashion. His Headmaster partner, Spasma, can ride inside the jet's cockpit. He can mount guns on either side of his vehicle mode, but for some reason only comes with one gun while Snapdragon came with two.

:As Apeface is a triple changer, Spasma similarly has triple functions, forming both the robot mode face and the gorilla mode face. This beast mode has a relatively wide range of articulation for a Generation 1 beast, but has some minor problems with balance, which limits poses. Apeface's gorilla mode can be placed on all fours, but that results in his head staring at the ground.

:In robot mode, like all Headmaster toys, Apeface has a flip-down panel on his chest which covers a spring-loaded mini-Tech-Spec-meter which gives readouts for Speed, Strength and Intelligence. The tumblers are activated when Spasma (or any other Headmaster unit) is plugged into his neck socket. Apeface is very back-heavy due to most of the fighter jet mode ending up on his back. The jet's vertical stabilisers detach to form a shield that can be held in Apeface's hands or attached to his shoulder.

Trivia
* In the Japanese Headmasters series, Spasma does not exist as a separate entity from Apeface; like all Headmasters, the large robot is just a lifeless Transtector body controlled entirely by the head unit. However, Apeface's head unit is still called "Spasma" when separated from the larger robot body, even though it's the same guy!
*Apeface was the only character to use the word "puke" in the entirety of the original Transformers cartoon. That's got to be some kind of feat, right?
*In the Latin dub, he calls himself "El gorila invencible" (the invincible gorilla).
:Buster is a human and Decepticon Godmaster from the Super-God Masterforce portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Hailing from East Germany, Buster was a deejay before he and his older brother, Hydra were recruited by the Decepticons. He is an enigmatic sort who does not really have much of a personality of his own, instead serving as a (vaguely creepy) extension of his brother's whim, following his lead in combat and turning to him for direction in all things. While Buster is not nearly as cruel and detached as the sociopathic Hydra, he remains a fearsome fighter of great power.

As a Godmaster, Buster is bonded to a Transtector from the G Nebula, which he can combine with his brother’s Transtector to form the giant jet Darkwings. Like all Godmasters, Buster can manipulate Chōkon Power, with his specialty being the control of wind. Additionally, Buster possesses an affinity for birds, owning some and even being able to convey his thoughts to them.
Buster and Hydra were in North America when they were approached by Giga and Mega, agents of the Decepticon leader Devil Z, and bonded to a pair of Transtectors that had taken the forms of jet planes. A Hero Is Chosen - His Name Is Ginrai The brothers were brought to a hidden island, where they were trained in the use of their new Godmaster powers until it was decided that they join up with the rest of the Decepticons already operating under the command of Blood. Blood's Pretenders and Headmaster Juniors were summoned to the island, where Buster and Hydra, disguised in suits of medieval armor, promptly attacked and bested them as a demonstration of their powers. Blood bristled at the notion that two humans could be stronger than true Decepticons, and challenged the two Godmasters to prove themselves by attacking the Mt Fuji Foothills Hang Gliding Competition Tournament. It just so happened that the Autobot Headmaster Juniors were participating in the contest, leading to a battle between the Godmaster brothers and the Autobot Pretenders. Although they had their Autobot foes massively overpowered, the arrival of Metalhawk left them outnumbered, and the brothers opted to withdraw. Super Warriors - The Godmaster Brothers Buster and Hydra next went into battle when the Decepticons attacked the tidal power plant on Viscas Island, but the battle was brought to an end when the Autobot Diver was able to lodge his Sea Axe in Buster’s arm. Unable to heal the wound, Buster panicked and Hydra called retreat. Once they returned to the Decepticon base, Buster cursed himself, believing that he was less powerful than his brother. A Fierce Battle!! The Autobots Are in Trouble

When Mega and Giga revealed that there were other Godmaster on Earth, Buster and Hydra were charged with locating them before the Autobots did. Hydra decided that they would search North America first, on the basis that it was where they became Godmasters themselves, and with a little help from the Headmaster Juniors, the brothers were soon on the trail of a mysterious truck that had been rumoured to be able to heal any damage to itself. The brothers found the truck crashed at the bottom of a cliff along with the Autobot Diver, but when they attempted to take it, the truck's driver, Ginrai, revealed that he was indeed a Godmaster, and that that truck was his Transtector, by transforming to robot mode for the first time. Shocked by what they had witnessed, Buster and Hydra retreated. A Hero Is Chosen - His Name Is Ginrai Before long, however, the brothers were back on Ginrai's trail, and attacked numerous tractor trailers in their search for him, killing many of Ginrai's trucker friends before finally locating him. Buster held off the other Autobots while Hydra battled Ginrai, but the brothers were ultimately bested once more. Ginrai: God On of Rage!!

When Cancer was captured by the Autobots for interrogation, Buster and Hydra arrived to retrieve him. The Autobots released their prisoner, but Hydra immediately discovered a homing beacon planted on Cancer's shirt, and attacked the Autobots in retribution. During the fight, Buster seized the Autobot Minerva and placed his blaster to her head, only to have Cancer snatch her away, begging that nobody be killed. This distraction turned the tide of the battle and forced the villains to fall back. A Strange Friendship: Cancer and Minerva Things didn't go much better during the brothers' next battle with Ginrai, at Mount Yatsugatake in Nagano, where the brothers were blasted by Ginrai's newly-obtained trailer. {{storylink|Friend or Foe!?

Hungry for revenge, Buster and Hydra were not content simply with destroying Ginrai, but also sought to discredit him and the Autobots into the bargain. Luring Ginrai into a battle in a city, the brothers loudly blamed him for starting the battle so that the population could overhear, and then summoned some Lobclaw Seacons to finish the Autobot off. Luckily, Diver and Lander arrived to deal with the Seacons, and the enraged Ginrai unleashed a blast of Chōkon Power that saw the villains off. Eliminate the Godmaster Ginrai

Learning that Ginrai had appeared on a television show in an attempt to find the remaining Godmasters on Earth, Buster and Hydra tried menacing a producer at the TV station in order to find out what Ginrai had learned from the correspondence that had come in. The tactic had no luck, so they resorted to searching the continent with the help of the Pretenders; the Pretenders later found Ginrai in Canada, but were unable to stop the next Godmaster, Lightfoot from joining the Autobots. Lightfoot: A Dramatic Encounter After this failure, the Decepticons were even more determined to recruit the next Godmaster, a Canadian forest patrolman named Ranger. During the battle with the Autobots that resulted in the Rocky Mountains, however, Buster and Hydra were left badly outnumbered and had to flee when the Headmaster Juniors abandoned them out of spite after they carelessly put Wilder in danger in their zeal to destroy Ginrai. {{storylink|An Enemy?

Buster and Hydra stepped back from the front lines for a short time, instead trying their hand at formulating a plan for the Pretenders to carry out. This outlandish plot to capture doctors was soon botched, much to their distaste, Save the Little Girl! The Chōjin Warriors, the Godmasters and they again took an active hand in matters, starting with a scheme to divide and conquer the Autobot Godmasters, starting with Lightfoot. Hydra put his makeup talents to use disguising himself and Buster as reporters so that they could get close to Lightfoot's father Leftfoot and take him prisoner. The brothers sent a message to Lightfoot, who was faced with the choice of either joining the Autobots or having his Master-Braces (and hands!) cut off, but luckily, the other Autobot Godmasters soon arrived to help give the Darkwings Brothers one of their most severe beatings yet. When Buster's arm was actually torn off, the horrified Hydra called retreat, but they weren't above spitefully blowing up some factory buildings as they left. {{storylink|Life? Death?
After serving as chauffeurs for Mega when she was posing as a fortune teller, Expose the Decepticons' Dark Deception! Buster and Hydra were next charged with destroying Ginrai's trailer. By posing as a movie producer, Hydra was able to lure Ginrai into a desert under auspices of performing some stunt-driving, while Buster planted the explosive charges that would be used in the stunt. A hidden, extra charge separated Ginrai from his trailer, and the brothers combined into Darkwings in an attempt to destroy the latter component. Before they could strike, Ginrai merged with his trailer and blew the villains out of the air with his Special Fire Guts attack. Ginrai was, however, subsequently badly wounded by Giga and Mega's combined form, Overlord, Super Ginrai Gets Blown Away in the Desert!? and the brothers decided to strike while the Autobots were a man down by attempting to destroy the Godbomber drone the heroes were in the midst of constructing. The brothers were duped into following a disguised truck into the nearby mountains, thinking that it was carrying Godbomber, when in fact, it was simply the Autobot, Road King, who joined with Ranger and Lightfoot in beating the brothers to a pulp. Will the Bomber Project Be Destroyed!?

In the next attempt to destroy Godbomber, Buster and Hydra attacked a Middle-East oil refinery in order to draw the Autobots out, only to be met with failure once more. Overlord - Terror of the Chōkon Tornado The Decepticons tried yet again, this time by separating Godbomber from Ginrai and having Buster and Hydra target the unprotected drone. With a little help from Sixknight, however, the Autobot Headmaster Juniors discovered that they were able to pilot Godbomber and personally took out Buster. Destroy Godbomber!!

When the final Godmaster, Clouder, joined the Decepticons, the villains installed him within the Autobot ranks as a spy, who fed them inside information on the Autobots' base. Buster and Hydra proceeded to attack a nearby city in order to occupy the attentions of Ginrai and the Godmasters while the rest of the Decepticons initiated an all-out attack on the Autobots' headquarters Secret Orders! Destroy the Autobot Base!! and although the brothers were eventually defeated, the larger plan to destroy the base succeeded. Disaster! The Autobot Base Explodes

Soon thereafter, when BlackZarak arrived on Earth, Buster and Hydra traveled into space with the rest of the Decepticons when the villain prepared to unleash the unholy Death-Para Machine upon the Earth. Crisis! The Day of the Downfall of Humanity Later, they battled Lightfoot in northern Europe, God Ginrai - Save Cancer!? and when the Autobots attacked the Decepticon base in force, clashed with Ginrai and the Godmasters, until Devil Z brought the battle to an end by fusing with BlackZarak and collapsing the base into an undersea chasm. {{storylink|The Ultimate Combination!!
Frustrated by their numerous defeats at the hands of Ginrai, Buster demanded to know why they were unable to best their Autobot opponent. Hydra opined that he and Buster were weakened by their humanity, and the brothers petitioned Devil Z to use his powers to transform them into true robots. The evil being complied, fusing the brothers with their Transtectors and replacing their Jinchōkon Power—lost to them along with their humanity—with his own Devil Power. The Darkwings Brothers attacked Ginrai in the Grand Canyon, and Ginrai, appalled at what they had done to themselves, called upon his God Fire Guts attack. The brothers responded by diving at Ginrai in a flaming "Hellfire Attack", resulting in a huge explosion when the attacks collided. The battered brothers limped away from the battle, declaring it a draw. Battle to the Death!! God Ginrai VS Darkwings Reborn While Ginrai then went on to battle Overlord, Buster and Hydra attacked Lightfoot and Road King, trapping them in a cave. They then took on the Autobot Headmaster Juniors, almost cutting off Shūta's arms before Ginrai returned and saw them off. Autobots! Desperate Attack!!
During the final conflict on the Matterhorn, Buster and Hydra unveiled the mightiest weapon in their arsenal, the "Mach X Flight", allowing them to move faster than the eye could follow. They did not predict, however, that Ginrai could replicate the effect with his own Chōkon Power, and the Autobot once again proved to be their better, searing their bodies with his burning backwash and sending them crashing into the mountain. The brothers rejoined the other Decepticons at the mountain's peak, where BlackZarak unleashed his fury on the two failures, pummelling them until Overlord stepped in to try and stop the punishment. This only resulted in BlackZarak turning on him as well, at which point Ginrai arrived to save his foes and engage BlackZarak in final battle. Malevolent and Inhuman! The True Form of Devil Z As the Autobot leader battled BlackZarak, Buster and Hydra recovered from their beating, with Hydra calmly writing it off as proof that they were weak, and that they needed to fight even harder. At that point, the Autobot Godmasters arrived and Buster and Hydra plunged into battle right away, despite the fact that they were on the verge of collapse. Eventually, they could fight no further, and combined into Darkwings to flee. In the moments that followed, Ginrai succeeded in destroying BlackZarak and Devil Z, which resulted in all the other humans becoming separated from their Transtectors. The Transtectors themselves continued to live as true super-robot lifeforms, and Buster and Hydra promptly joined with the other Decepticons in departing Earth. A Battle... and Then...
Decepticon leaders Giga and Mega unveiled their Godmaster warriors, Buster and Hydra, to the world by sending them to "welcome" the Autobot Godmaster, Ginrai, to Japan. After bombing Tokyo on their way to Harumi Wharf, Buster and Hydra merged into Darkwings and immediately attacked Metalhawk and the Autobot Headmaster Juniors, who were at the wharf awaiting Ginrai's arrival. After taking the Juniors out of the fight, the brothers then transformed into robot mode to tackle Metalhawk, but thankfully, Ginrai chose that moment to make his entrance and promptly launched the villains over the horizon with a blast of Chōkon Power. {{storylink|Enter on the Stage!
When the Autobots traveled to the planet Athenia so that Ginrai could be appointed Supreme Commander, Buster and Hydra followed, joining up with the other Decepticons out in space and attacking the planet with Scramble 7. The Autobots were able to defeat Scramble 7, but Buster and Hydra informed them that they had been united under the leadership of Devil Z, and were heading back to Earth to await the Autobots' return. {{storylink|The Battle Begins! As their leader was wiped out before their eyes, Buster and Hydra combined into Darkwings and fled into space. The Birth of the Super Lifeforms
*Goddamn, but dude looks like a lady.
*According to his supplementary bio card, Buster is 17 years old. As well, the card contradicts the Masterforce opening sequence by declaring him to be American rather than East German.

*Buster is an oddity among Transformers with mouthplates in that his mouthplate doesn't wobble up and down when he talks, but instead opens vertically.
